Staff was nice. Wish that when you submit a claim through insurance for replacement glass that it would tell you the approximate time it will take. I have had my windshield replaced several times (I used to live in AZ) and it would take maybe an hour, this shop however, says it takes 2.5-3 hours.. but, I guess when you monopolize it is what it is. 4 stars cause the staff was nice and helped reschedule my appt so they will go to my wife's work.

I had my rear passenger window replaced after the Portland Kia burglars tried stealing my brand new Kia, and I was very satisfied with the service I received at Safelite. My installer, Lee, did a great job with my new window and was very friendly and so was the front desk staff. And what’s better is that my appointment was at 1 and I got out of there before 3! Thank you for your hard work!

I would have given 5 stars had the estimated repair time been more accurate. I dropped off at 11am with a 2hr estimated repair time. However, work didn't begin until around 4pm. Technician Brandon was exceptional.

I used Safelite to replace the windshield on my older Mazda-3. They did an excellent job and even vacuumed the car out. The only reason I did not give them a '5' star review was due to a breakdown in communication. When the appointment was made, they said it would take 2 hours, so I planned on waiting due to the difficulty in leaving it all day. When I brought the car by, they said I need to leave it all day. This left me in a difficult position. However, they did manage to replace the windshield in the original 2 hour estimate so I got done what I needed in the time frame I wanted. I ended up happy!! I would suggest anyone who reads this review and makes an appointment with Safelite, make absolutely sure when they anticipate getting the work done.

I'd give them 10 STARS IF I COULD!!! I was turned down by two companies who flat out told me they don't want my business because they don't want to wait 3-4 months to get paid from my insurance. I am located 3 hours away and made the trip to this shop after special ordering my OEM glass. Wait was about 2 weeks to get in, which isn't a huge deal to me. I was originally quoted 3-4 hour wait time for a Saturday. Arrived at the shop and was quoted 2-2.5 hours. They replaced my front windshield and did the recalibration for my smart technology. Got out of there in 1 hour and 45 mins! You guys really saved the day and I cannot thank you enough.

Tonight after they finished my windshield they called me. I live really far away and I requested that they leave my car out. That is outside of policy for them which is totally understandable... I couldn’t make it on time. My husband just had knee surgery and I was stuck at home with 4 kids. THE TECH STAYED AND WAITED FOR ME! Stayed late, didn’t go home to his family. He stayed and waited for me knowing I needed my car back. He acted like this was no big deal and was happy to do it. This is the kind of customer service you don’t see everyday. Thank you guys so much for your wonderful service and staff. It’s been a stressful week and you made my life easier and it meant a great deal to me. I will 100% recommend to any and everyone.

There was a slight delay, but it was my fault for relating the wrong year of my car. Once the new part arrived, I was put right away. The installation of a window regulator for an electric window malfunction was, to my supprise, only took 2 hours. Fantasic service, well trained and knowledge techs and the front staff was very friendly and knew their stuff! I, without a doubt, would recommend the Portland, Oregon Safelight shop!

Excellent service. Chad was extremely polite and easy to talk to. Had this service done in the parking lot while I was at work. He even went above and beyond and vacuumed my car! I can’t tell you how nice it was to come back to that. I even noticed that he had found loose change somewhere in my car and put it in my cup holder. Meaning that even though I wasn’t watching and wouldn’t have noticed it missing, he did the right thing. Ten out of ten recommend. Hopefully you get Chad.

I was a little nervous to try them out, given some of the poor reviews, but I'm glad I did. I brought in my husband's truck for a replacement windshield. They got me in quickly, they were extremely polite, helpful, and informative. Their prices were much better than another local competitor that I got a quote from. Mark was my technician and was super friendly and informative! I had many projects going on at the same time today at my house so I thought it would be super helpful for me to have them come out. I was having my roof replaced and then my windshield done at the same time. Mark left me to do what I needed to do and when I came and ask questions he was super friendly! I own my own company and I think Safelite was smart in hiring Mark! He represents their company well! Great service!!! I would go back to them just because of Mark!

I'm very happy with the service I got for the rock chip on my windshield. They were able to get me in quickly even though they were busy. I highly recommend making an appointment. All the staff was friendly and professional. The technician was thorough and I had my truck back in less than an hour.

This is a mixed review. The service itself was promptly and well done. However, after they failed to process our credit card to pay our deductible, the various "customer advocates" then: Told my wife that we didn't have comprehensive coverage (we do, and our insurance sent us to Safelite who verified our claim and policy before scheduling the repairs); Threatened to send us to collections (via an email that started with "hey there") without any documentation, invoice or bill; Started calling multiple times a day to my wife and I, during which phone calls they relayed completely different versions of what was going on; And when they finally produced an invoice, the invoice itself was completely incorrect. So, great repair work, but I wouldn't work with them again unless it's all in writing, in advance and unless they acknowledge everything correctly. It was a fiasco getting them on anything resembling the same page.

Cracking your windshield= bad experience. Going to the folks at Safelite to get a replacement shield= a great experience. Wonderful customer service- they walked me through all my options as well as worked with me to get the lowest price. They were able to get me an appointment within a few days of receiving a quote. Wonderful repair job here! They were very expedient to my broken car window and scheduled me early in the morning. The repair was done in about an hour and they even vacuumed up the broken glass AND cleaned out all the garbage from my backseat was in itself worth the price. As a courtesy they gave me a can of glass cleaner as well. I couldn't be happier with the level of service this place provided.

We are very pleased with the exceptional service that Safelite Auto Glass provided to us when they came out to replace our front windshield on our Van. Not only did the technician do a great job, he cleaned all our vans windows, adjusted our front windshield wipers, and vacuumed the front driver, and passenger sides of our vehicle. He was respectable, kind, and understanding when I told him how our van windshield got cracked while I was driving home from work one morning. Not only am I pleased with Safelite, but so is my wife. We will use Safelite if our other vehicle needs a new front or back windshield in the future. Thank you for your service.

Have used them for decades, recently replaced by power sliding back glass, which is a very labor intensive difficult job (I know I was in the business for over 20 years) their work is very high caliber and backed by the best Nationwide warranty in the business. You will never be disappointed with the care your vehicle gets at Safelite!!

Car window was smashed in at 9pm Tuesday night. After talking to my insurance, I picked Safelite to do the repair. I made an appointment online at 11pm for service to be done on Wednesday. The online process was EASY. I dropped my car off at 8:30am. Safelite called my insurance company and took care of everything. At 10:30am, SAME DAY, Safelite called me saying it was complete. When I picked up my car, I found a few pieces of glass, and when I asked if they could vacuum again, there was no hesitation. Car is clean Window works and looks great! I would recommend them!!

Canyon did a great job on my Rockchip so at least I know my window is structurally sound again. It only took him about 15 minutes or so. I drove to the location to have it done and I got new wiper blades as well. Any time I need any Windows repaired or replaced in any of my vehicles I will definitely go to Safelite. They even gave me a can of really good glass cleaner.

They showed up early, had the work done quickly and left my car in way better condition than it was. My car had been broken into Sat night prior and I had been having a terrible week. I was able to get a mobile appt. scheduled for that Thursday after the incident. When I came home to see the work had been done and all the signs of a break in were gone, I was beyond relieved. I wish I had been home to actually speak with the technician and thank him personally.

I wouldn't use them again. Phone customer service was remarkably good but the actual glass replacement was not. Rain water is leaking through the seal of the rear glass they replaced and they did not vacuum up all of the old broken glass. Obviously I am going to have to go back to get the leak fixed but in future I will be going elsewhere for auto glass replacement.

Someone broke into my car via smashing the vent glass on my Honda Cr-V. I called around and found that Safelite was the only company in my area that had access to a replacement in their network, and scheduled for a mobile repair. The technician arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. However, he was sent to my house with the wrong pane of glass! That's ok, mistakes happen. I reschedule, mentioning this mixup. The second technician arrives a week later, and they've given him the same wrong piece of glass that the first guy came with. I speak with a manager, they order another part for my car, and I reschedule again. The third technician arrives, with the right pane of glass but in the wrong color (my car is tinted). At this point I'm feeling rather frustrated. I speak with another member of leadership that assured me that he physically went down to their warehouse, and found a tinted passenger side vent glass that fit my car, and we reschedule again. The fourth technician arrives, maybe 3-4 weeks after my original appointment, and they've given him the same exact wrong piece of glass that the first two guys arrived with. He calls Safelite and tries to figure out what in the world is going on, and after some time we find that the only available option is the un-tinted glass that accompanied technician #3. At this point I just wanted my window to stop being a plastic bag and agreed to the installation. Another team member drove the glass over to us right away, and the saga finally ended. They did a very good job with the installation, were quick when they had a part to put in, were very apologetic, and they vacuumed out my entire car and changed out my wiper blades. I would of given my experience five stars, had there not been so many mix-ups with the part that was needed.

Customer service-wise, this place knocked it out of the park. Their website has some misleading information saying that if you come in before 2:00 PM you can get work done on a rock chip w/o an appt. Not the case. They managed to get me in and get my windshield fixed! My only complaint is that the job seemed a little rushed (I wasn't in a hurry). The crack is still visible and the worker stated that there is water in the actual crack which they weren't able to fully get out. Might be a problem once the weather gets cooler. They were up front with me about it so I'm not mad. Still a 5-star experience!

These guys have some of the most concerned and caring customer service I’ve ever experienced. They go above and beyond to take care of you, your car, and any concerns you might have. I CONSTANTLY am frustrated by other companies who only care about getting you in and out of the door - these guys are not that. They’ll do whatever it takes to fix your problem and make you happy. I actually drive an extra 20 minutes to go to THIS SHOP instead of any other in town. I trust these guys!!! They have always come through for me. I only wish they did home repair, cell phone service, babysitting, and mortgage lending because NO ONE ELSE I’VE EVER WORKED WITH cares about their customers like this shop.

My car got broken into; boo, broken passenger side window. They couldn't come out to me before the end of the day, but I left my car in their shop overnight (didn't want to leave it out on the street with a broken window); they were really friendly when I dropped it off, it was done the next day, and they even fixed it ahead of schedule. It's been a few weeks and it's like new again, no problems at all (even though my particular make of car was apparently a tough job). Thanks!

I dropped my vehicle off at 7:45AM. When I arrived, no one was in the office to check in. I waited patiently, then impatiently I walked into the shop area to see if anyone might help me. Once I was checked in, I was told I would receive a call and they verified my phone number. I did not hear from anyone with a status, so I called at 3:45PM...they close at 5:00. My vehicle had not been started. I was told to show up at 4:45 to pick up my car...when I arrived at 4:45, I was told it would be another half hour as they had just started. 30 minutes later I'm still sitting here. The only bright moment was Larry, but he left at 5:00. When I got into my car it was clean/vacuumed which I appreciate, but they seemed to have used a scent of some sort, so I drive home with my windows down hoping to air out that horrible smell

Great service, free WiFi and if they say they need 90 minutes, they take 90 minutes — so awesome overall. They asked me a few questions before the appointment so they knew I had to do a calibration and there was no surprises. Actually one surprise: they cleaned my windows and mats. So five stars !

The technician showed up on time at my location and completed the work with no leaks and no mess afterwards. The only thing different after my service was the new glass. Coordinating with my insurance went well and the online scheduling and information from Safelite was good. I would purchase from Safelite again.

Went out to my Jeep at 12:30 pm to see my passenger window shattered. Got an appt at 2 pm. The staff was super friendly and quick. Took about 45-55 mins to have the window replaced, floors vacuumed and windows cleaned. Love the service here, they're understanding and very friendly. This was my 3rd time here and I'll continue going here, hopefully won't have to lol

The guys that came out to service my car we're very nice and even called that day to give me an updated/shorter window for their arrival. One hiccup however, they forgot to reattach the rain & automatic light sensor that is within my rearview mirror, so I had to go out to the dealership to have that reattached.

I wish I would have known that after the windshield was replaced, I would have to take my Honda Pilot 2016 to the dealer to get the cameras re-calibrated for over $300. The repairman told me that after the repair. He said that most of the time you don't have to do that. He was a nice guy and did a good and quick job out in the parking lot. But Safelite should tell you ahead of time that they can't re-calibrate the windshield cameras. Fortunately, my insurance (PEMCO) did pay for the additional cost incurred at the dealer. But it was extra time and hassle.

Overall, I had a positive experience with Safelite. The woman at the call center was irritable and spoke over me and scheduled me for the wrong location. BUT.. when I arrived the receptionists were very friendly about fixing the appointment and got me in right away. The man who fixed the crack in the windshield was friendly and answered all my questions. Hopefully I won't need this service again anytime soon but if I do, I'll definitely go back to Safelite.

I highly recommend Safelite AutoGlass at the 5119 NE 158th Ave Portland address. I arrived early, before they were scheduled to open, and the shop was open and already buzzing with activity. I was greeted promptly and waited only a few minutes before John Ferguson, my technician, approached me and shook my hand and very courteously explained what he would do and approximately how long it would take. I passed him the keys and waited in their nice waiting room, which had free WiFi and coffee. When John was done, he told me what he had done and even took care of an issue I never reported to him that HE noticed and corrected. John is awesome and really made me feel like an important customer. Don't hesitate to get any glass repair done here and ask for John Ferguson if you have a choice.. Thank you for a pleasant experience!!!

Hello I am a new customer, my name is Michael Anthony and I just met Nate out of Location 1824, at 5119 NE 158th Ave in Portland. So I called to have a mobile tech meet me at my house to fix what I thought was a circular small rock chip, trying to catch it before it got worse...evidently I should've peered at it a bit closer, because as soon as the tech showed up, Nate with his huge smile and his bushy beard, within seconds of a first inspection of my front windshield, he identified it as tree sap...yes, I know, tree sap. I was as embarrassed as you probably are for me even reading this; wow, I felt like bonehead. I felt like a man who asks, "Honey, have you seen my hat?", only for your lady to answer with a upwards glance and a roll of her eyes at you, and sheepishly you remember its already on top your head. However, as I profusely began to apologize, wishing I had got some cash out to give him a tip for dragging him out to near Gresham at 530pm, Nate got out some glass cleaner and efficiently removed it and went on to clean the whole windshield! He simply smiled and said, "No worries, it happens more than you know." Now, I dont exactly believe him, : ) but the gesture and kindness of those words made me feel better, and sometimes that's all you need. We proceeded to briefly chat about rock chips and when its necessary for an actual replacement, and listening to him, I realized how knowledgeable and experienced he is in the trade. I asked for his business card, and told him I'll be letting his manager Sean McDonald know what an asset he has in Nate, and that from here out, for any autoglass related troubles, I'm calling Safelite and asking for Big Nate!! So I felt the need to let the greater NW area know about Nate from Location 1824 in NE Portland-If you want a prompt, customer service driven pro, ask for Nate!! He called me early in the day to let me know when he's going to be able to come by, then called again an hour before, and then again when he was close; THAT is how customer service and communication should be...honestly, he should teach a class! P.S. I know this might sound like I'm an employee or something writing a review for my own company, but I assure you I'm not. I really was that impressed with Nates confident yet easygoing manner...Thank you Safelite and Big Nate out of Location 1824!!
