Energy Guard was great to work with from start to finish. John T. our consultant was personable and very good with design and type of window that would work best in our house. Did all the paperwork for a rebate we would be getting and it arrived about 4 weeks after completion. The crew that came in were very polite and worked well together. It was a large crew of 5 or 6 so knocked out 29 windows in 3 days. I love my new windows!!! I highly recommend this company. You won't be sorry!

We selected Energy Guard because the salesman took his time, came out to the house for the estimate, made reasonable recommendations and even posed some "devil's advocate" questions about our requests. Their price was fair and the lowest, although only by about $100; it wasn't about the price, but the service. When the owner came out to do the final measures, he further explained details and helped to refine our choices. Given current circumstances, we ordered and paid the deposit in February and our install was in June. Scheduling was confirmed with plenty of time for me to make the house ready. The guys were on time. They completed 9 Windows, a sliding glass door and a FABULOUS window box in a day and a half. The work looked very good and the lead walked all around the house with me. The only downside, which obviously doesn't change my rating because they got the work done FAR faster than I anticipated, and did SUCH an exemplary job, was I had been adamant about them doing the back of the house first, that didn't happen, and I had to ask the crew why, so that lack of communication was disappointing. It turned out that they couldn't fit all of the back half windows on the truck because the window box was so big. I had had one of my friends, who is a well-established realtor, over for coffee right after the windows were done and she asked me for the contractor immediately because she thought they looked so good! Plus 2 of the neighbors have asked because the guys were so fast, they look good and according to one neighbor "they hardly disturbed your plants at all".

When I met John at a home show I invited him make a presentation at our house. John was pleasent, easy to talk with and offered us some great ideas for our window replacement. We felt no pressure to buy, and he explained the process very well. As we were approaching our installation date, Carrie and McKenzie kept us well informed. I am very pleased with the windows I had installed. John Tooney was very personable and made excellent suggestions on types of windows that would work best for my home. I had them installed during hot weather and immediately noticed a difference in how cool the upstairs was the next day with the new windows. Carrie Gooderham was always helpful and responsive when I spoke with her on the phone and Mason and his crew were prompt, professional and finished installing my windows in a timely fashion. This job started with a visit by a great, greatly experienced salesman Darrin Mankin. He talked me through the window replacement and had good recommendations! The job: I had 5 windows and a sliding door replaced on my 2003 house. Two of the windows were actually "three windows"; an arched window on top of two lower windows and one of these was a 2nd story window (required scaffolding). EnergyGuard pulled in with two trucks and four men at 9AM and left at 3pm. They cleaned up as they were doing the removals and again when done with the job. Two worked the front of the house and two worked the back of the house. Results were AMAZING! The upstairs bedroom and the downstairs den look like a new home! The two arched windows had a blind on them and for 17 years we never did anything behind the blind. Ugh, when the blind came off prior to window replacement the caulking was old and shrunken and cracked and the edge of the window casing had large cracks and was terrible. The new windows look so good we did not reinstall the arched blind and instead enjoy seeing the sky out this window which also has a "SunCoatMAX" application that keeps the sun from heating up the house. Before leaving the lead man took me around and checked out the sliding door (made a few minor adjustments) and showed me some of the window features. GREAT JOB. I highly recommend this company!

We replaced all of the windows in our 40 year old home as well as a sliding door to the deck. Since replacement, we have noticed energy savings (the heat pump/furnace is not running as often and it's warmer inside the house). Perhaps more than the energy efficiency, after three weeks we still remark on how quiet it is. In addition, we hanged the kithen window from a narrow slider to an awning window (hinged at the top). The glass is so much bigger than old windows. Similarly, we changed the three bathrooms from sliders to casement wiows (side hinged). Again what a difference. Thank you John for these suggestions.

John does a Great job of letting you know exactly what you're buying, how it will be installed, and what the warranty covers. The install crew did an excellent demo, install, and clean up. Very happy with the job on my house! I was happy to see the guys being very careful not to damage my new floor or paint job on the house. I had 12 windows and two sliders replaced at my 30 year old home. I had concerns about a winter installation but it went well. Adrian, Jacob, Dillon and Mason took the windows out one or two at a time. It was a cold day but the open gaps were filled quickly. The team was polite, efficient and completed the work in the allotted time. I would recommend EnergyGuard to anyone. PS, I chose black windows which look awesome.

EnergyGuard did a really nice job on my 11 Milgard Tuscany window replacement. 11 windows at $754/window. John made some excellent design recommendations regarding changes from the original Viking windows. The kitchen corner is an example. Notice how the corner view opens up by changing the slider from typical 50/50 to 25% opening. Better than fixed because you can still open for ventilation. All 11 are properly flashed with flashing tape and Z-metal flashing. Excellent trim boards and caulking. As you can see the upper story required scaffolding. When I got a call from Carrie ready to schedule this work for Feb. 11, 2020 I was very concerned about doing this during the winter. She assured me it would be fine. And she was correct. Originally scheduled for 2 days they set up at 9 am and were done at 3:30 pm, 11 windows in one day. 5 on the crew led by Mason along with Pat & Jake. (I didn't get the names of the other 2, but thank you.) They were clean & neat. I want to thank EnergyGuard Windows & Doors, John, Carrie, Darren, Mason, Pat, Jake & Brian.

From start to finish, very easy to deal with. Darren & Nancy were very responsive to my questions and knew exactly what I wanted. Installation crew led by Mason, were all very professional, respectful and polite. They knew what they were doing! We've had some rain the last few days and no leaks! Area of improvements, not big issues as I was able to easily clean up myself. There were some dirt stains from the old windows on the carpet and the driveway although broom swept, probably could have finished it off with a blower as there were sawdust that couldn't have been swept up. Overall a good experience. My next door neighbor will also be having some windows replaced by EnergyGuard.

I am writing this review a bit late due to 2020 being the year it has been. Considering it has been almost a year since EnergyGuard installed our windows and I feel compelled to write them a stellar review, that should speak volumes. We had recently moved into a house with the original aluminum windows from 1970. After interviewing several local window companies we went to a seminar at Milgard's factory set up by EnergyGuard. EnergyGuard was the most informative, no pressure tactics, no price games, listened to our ideas while making several suggestions that we have been extremely happy with. Installation took 2 days for 2 buildings with 16 windows + 1 slider. A crew of roughly 5 - 6 came to the house. They were organized, attentive to the smallest detail, professional, clean, and would bring any concern to our attention. It has been almost a year since our windows were installed and we could not be happier. At the moment we are planning on replacing our front door and only plan on making 1 phone call ... EnergyGuard of course.

Darren and his team went absolutely above and beyond to help me find the perfect window solution for my 1950 cinderblock home. Being a bit of a unique residential construction in these parts I was nervous and not sure that a small company would be the right fit. However, though I received several bids, I ultimately went with Darren and his team primarily because he was so genuinely lovely to work with during the sales process, but also because he took a gamble on me and worked hard to get the price point where I needed it to be - without really knowing what kind of labor his team was in for. I was referred to EnergyGuard by a friend of mine, and can say I would recommend to others as well. I replaced 4 windows, converted a window to a sliding door, and installed a new window. The initial appointment was set with John to review the scope for quoting, for which he responded with a quote by the time he said he would get back to me. Darren came to do final measurements and talked me though what was needed by me for the slider and window that was being installed, offering valuable advice. Once the schedule was set, the crew of 3 arrived timely were very professional. Unfortunately when pulling out a window and siding for the slider, we found concrete foundation where the wall needed to be cut down to the bottom, and the window/door was not able to be replaced that same day. We scrambled to find a concrete cutter to cut it out a week later and paid for a second trip out -- both unexpected expenses. However, during this time Carrie was extremely patient in coordinating a time for the crew to return shortly after the concrete cutter would be complete (and I emphasize patient because we had to reschedule due to the cutter not showing up). At the end of the day, I have beautiful new windows and a new door that has hardly been closed since! I rarely trust contractors, but had a wonderful experience with EnergyGuard and would recommend to anyone needing a window replacement.

What a great company. Extremely satisfied with the work they did and customer service. We were purchasing a sliding door for my 86 year old mother. They did a great job in making sure she was included in the entire process. From Brian in the office to the owner Darren to the installers they were extremely professional and did everything they said they would do. The best thing was that they showed up and completed the project when they said they would. As with any replacement project you don't know what problems arise until you complete the tear down. They found some dry rot and could have easily installed the sliding door but stopped and showed us and told us our options. You could tell they wanted to do a quality job and make sure the job was done right. The installers were very polite and worked hard and efficient to make sure the installation was done right. We will use them again and recommend them to anybody.

Energyguard finished installing our windows this week and I can’t say enough good about the whole team. I was very happy to work with them. We had 18 windows to replace and we went with the Milgard Essence, which is fiberglass exteriors and wood interiors. They turned out beautiful. The wood interiors give our house a homey, old house feeling. Even better, we can already see the energy efficiency improvements as compared to the aluminum windows we replaced. John, the bidder and salesman, walked us through all the details before we ordered and was very knowledgeable about the products. Carrie and Darren, in the office, were helpful and responsive with all of our questions. I was the most impressed with the install team. They sent a team of 6 guys led by Jesus and Jorge, who had all the windows installed in less than 3 days. Every member of the install team worked hard and quickly. They were respectful of our space, careful to clean up after themselves, and even understanding with my young children, who inevitably got in the way sometimes. Toward the end of the installation process, Darren, the owner of the company, came out to make sure that everything was up to my standards and his. I am very happy to recommend the whole team at Energyguard. They did a fantastic job helping us replace our windows and are a pleasure to work with.

Energy guard was wonderful to work with. Darren was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions (awning windows are life-changing). They beat the other 3 quotes I got by a large margin. The Milgard windows they installed look amazing and came with a lifetime warranty. They installed 22 windows and a back door in 3 days along with new exterior trim and a few interiors. They even switched out the trim for the door I didn't have changed. As they left, they have me a packet with exactly what I need to get the energy rebate. The installers were friends and left everything clean. Above and beyond what I expected. I'm happy I chose to work with this company.

Found EnergyGuard online after contacting a few other window places for replacement of 7 Windows and sliding glass door. Their pricing was by far the best of the companies researched. EnergyGuard was very prompt in getting back to us and setting up an appointment for the work. The owner came to double check measurments and talk about pricing for our glass door, found it needed to be custom due to size. They were able to keep the price down, even talked about the difference in Windows for the rebate. The people who came to do the work were able to get it done in a single day, a month ahead of schedule, they were very polite and professional. They cleaned everything up when they were done, and removed their shoes when walking through the house, very respectful. EnergyGuard is a very transparent company, keeping you infomed of all options and follow up is fantastic. They gave us all the papers & information necessary to apply for our rebate 2-3 days after the job was completed. Would definitely use this company again.

EnergyGuard replaced 13 windows in my house last fall with Milgard windows. I was very nervous about the process. I attended a seminar that EnergyGuard offered and it helped to see how the window is actually replaced. When Darren measured the old windows, he made good suggestions for some changes that did not make a large increase in the cost, but improved the overall look in the new windows. The crew was very professional and very tidy. The windows are perfect and the installation went very smooth. I would recommend EnergyGuard for any window replacement.

Mason and his crew did a top notch job of replacing 8 large windows in our house. I was worried about the removal of our vinyl siding as part of the process, but the crew was careful about removing it so not one piece was damaged or broken! This is great because we had 9 large windows replaced on our house 2 years ago by another very well known window firm that damaged a lot of our vinyl siding during the removal and install process. The other firm also botched the J-channel trim cutting and caulking. The EnergyGuard crew did a fantastic job on the install and finish work. We purchased a 4 panel sliding french door and installed ourselves. During the installation, we noticed a couple scratches on the glass. I took pictures and they opened a claim. Milgard sent out installers to replace the glass and reglaze. Out standing customer service, I have used Energy guard to replace all the windows in our house in 2014. We will use them again for future projects as they continue to offer competitive pricing and great customer service.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The owner (Darren) came out for an onsite consultation and ensured that we would be happy with the door we were ordering for install. It took about 6-8 weeks to get our door ordered and installed. The install took about 4 hours, and the install team was great (they also installed the new handle hardware that we purchased for the door which was a huge timesaver). The door looks amazing and they even added some new trim on the interior to help make it stand out. We love our red front door - it was worth every penny. Would highly recommend EnergyGuard!

Darren is a genuinely nice guy, trying to be sure you get the best experience with the best product. I had 11 windows replaced in my home and thought I knew exactly what I wanted. When Darren came to do measurements, he made a couple awesome suggestions about window style that I hadn't even considered, and now that I have them installed, I'm so glad I listened to him. The install guys were great too, they came right on time in the early morning, protected my carpet and furniture and got to work. They completed all of the windows by mid-afternoon including clean up and walked me through how to operate them. When I complained about an old dryer taking up space in my garage, they offered to deliver it to a needy family. Thanks guys!! I will definitely use them when I get another window converted to a patio door next year!

We had Energy Guard replace 16 of our windows with Milgard woodclad windows. We appreciated Darren's knowledge of the products and how to properly do replacement installation. We also attended a seminar sponsored by Energy Guard at the Milgard factory. This expanded our knowledge and understanding of what we wanted and needed before we decided on anything including which company to go with for installation. Everything was done in the time frame specified. Four of the windows we noted did not have the exterior flashing installed. These windows had been missed. My husband noticed this within a couple of days of the installation because he was painting the trim. Also, he found that some of the debris had not been cleaned up. We called Darren, the owner, and he came over right away. He was not pleased with the omission of the flashing nor the incomplete clean up on the part of his crew. One of the crew had a baby in the middle of our windows and left when he got the call. Another crew member was new. Darren said that was no excuse. Everything was remedied quickly. We were pleased with the quick response to our call. We will have more windows to replace in the future and will likely use Energy Guard again. We can highly recommend.

Starting with John Toohey in sales, to the scheduling and project management with Carrie Gooderham. John, recommend and offset opening window over our kitchen sink so the "split" wasn't right in the middle of the view - and I'm glad he did, this was a great suggestion! The install team led by Mason, also was great - they did a top-notch job of preparing and installing, along with clean up daily. My wife and I were worried that the house would really be disrupted, but it was not and the experience was good. I'd recommend them if you're in the market for new windows and doors. BTW, the Milgard windows and doors are wonderful - we immediately noticed the house feeling less drafty and the outside noise was reduced.
