Purchased beautiful iron front door with window casing above and metal side gate for $7,000! Don’t mind spending that for a long lasting beautiful door/gate. Had issues right away with the gate not shutting (self closure because we have a pool) and lock not engaging. Feel like sloppy work in measurement cuts because now we have red spacers between the block wall and gate. Measurements are accurate from salesman and not what we are measuring after install. Technicians out at least 3 x to drill out gate key hole so it would engage the lock. Make excuses that it’s our wall. I feel the key lock mechanism is set too far inside that’s why the design is cut around lock and wouldn’t engage into side pole. Again excuses from company. Gate closes now - barely, but feel like we settled on look of spacers. At least why can’t they match? Now the screws in handle sheared off. My husband had to caulk the above door window casing- big gap left when we went to paint around it. Had to have someone back out to show us how to adjust rollers in door so it was easier to open and close door. I asked installer to adjust but he said to try it for a while. Ok , but show me how to fix….company has been good at getting back to us but I feel we settled for what we paid for.

I was very happy with my experience getting a security door. Josephine worked with me to get just what I wanted. There are so many style choices and customizations that it is hard to choose! She created a photoshop image of exactly what my house would look like with the door (which I was able to use to ensure HOA approval). The installer did a great job, he didn't even mind my hanging around and watching! I'm very satisfied with the entire process from initial design and sale to final installation.

This was my 2nd experience with First Impression and both have been great. This time around we worked with Shaye, who was so helpful. (We also were helped by Aaron when we went into the showroom, and he was extremely helpful as well!) The whole process, from getting a quote to ordering the door and having it installed (today!) was seamless. Shaye always responded to our questions quickly and thoroughly. He also came out to the house a second time to ensure we were choosing the right color, helped us with a custom design and was able to give us a great price within our budget. Our door was installed in less time than was originally expected, (always a bonus) and there was excellent communication with install date and an install "window" the morning of. Our door is absolutely beautiful; the quality is beyond what we expected, we are thrilled with the way it looks and we couldn't be happier with our experience.

We are very happy with our new front security door installed by First Impressions ironworks. It is truly a Custom door and installation. I've installed several doors I have purchased at the Big Box stores. These doors are more expensive but far superiors. You definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend this company to my grandmother.

So far so good. We had a very pleasant experience with the order and installation of our iron gate in April 2022. I, now, have the little courtyard I've always dreamed of for my plants... and pets when they so desire. It's beautiful and the added security gives me peace of mind. August 2022, found rust spots on a portion of the iron that the company came out and treated within a week of contacting them. November 2022, I found drops of rust on our front porch patio tiles, only to find rust spots at the bottom of the gate. They are coming out tomorrow to treat. $5700 and the iron was not sealed properly from the start?

Our front door screens are the most unique security doors ever! They're custom made with a Saquaro cactus on one and a palm tree on the casita. The screens complement each other as well as protect our home from intruders. We can now open our front doors without concern for who is outside because of these security screen doors. They are professionally handmade and about the same price as screen doors made at the big box stores. We are so pleased with these doors and First Impression Security who made them.

We really love our iron door from First Impression. We've had it a couple of months now and are still thrilled. Everyone we worked with was very professional. Ashley helped us pick the style and made recommendations, but she didn't force her opinions on us. The final decisions were ours to make. We were worried about making the right choices in style and color, but she helped make the potentially stressful experience fun for us by creating a mock up of what our choices looked like on a photo of our house. The day of the installation wen't very smoothly and it took less time than we imagined for the installers to complete the job. They hung a large plastic tarp in the entryway to ensure the rest of our house stayed clean (from dust and debris) during the installation. The whole experience was just great. We recommend First Impression 100%.The quality of our door is excellent; you get what you pay for with First Impression.

These guys did an amazing, fast job. My door I've waited for for 20 years is beautiful. Only think I would have like included for the amount of money would have been a rubber hand protector so that people don't burn their hand as my door sits in the sun all day but it's minor. I Had an appointment with Mike and he was awesome. He was super friendly, very detailed oriented, and responded quickly to my emails. It took about 3 weeks for my door to come in after I placed my order. Richard installed my door and did a great job. He was very friendly and made sure I didn't have any questions before he left. He was super quick as well. Got my door installed in about an hour. Overall I have had a great experience with this company. Devin was very professional, polite, respectful of our home and very detail oriented. He also cleaned up all of his work debris and left our patio spotless. We are so pleased with the work that Devin performed, installing the double doors. There was a small glitch with the install, but Devin offered us an easy-fix solution, which we were very grateful for, as we DID NOT want the doors to go back to the shop for refabrication. Thank you, Devin!👍👍 Our consultant, Manly Mark, was a delight to work with! He was professional, courteous and very respectful of our home. He explained the entire process and materials used, which was very beneficial to us. We had an entry gate installed, by Ironworks, many years ago; materials used now are an upgraded version of our old entry gate. Which, by the way, still works and looks brand new. Extremely happy with my whole experience! My sales person Shawn was excellent to deal with. He was very patient during our meeting, which is really helpful when ordering a custom door. He was able to Photoshop our choices into where the current door sits. That really helped with the decision. Without that tool, we would have probably bought something we regretted since our ideas looked different than how we imagined them. The CAD department was right on schedule with the drawing and everything was correct the first time. Once we approved, the install was scheduled about 2.5 weeks out. Matthew Tuttle was the installer and showed up right on time on install day. I was impressed considering he had an install before me. The door came out exactly as I imagined it. Matthew was very quick to get the install done. I want to say he was in and out in 3 hours. Everything went into place perfectly. The door was hung perfectly square and level and he did it quick. Matthew was very professional, friendly, and set expectations on timeline, dust, noise, etc very well. As the door was being finished up, I got a surprise visit from the Director of Customer Care, Chairman of the Board, and CEO. They all gave me their cards and made sure I was completely satisfied. I'll be honest and say I was a little apprehensive about how my experience would go based on some other reviews, but these folks knocked it out of the park! I can honestly say that I have not seen customer service this great in a LONG time...probably decades. First Impression far exceeded my expectations. Make sure to ask for Matthew as your installer if possible!

The installation went smoothly, on schedule, and the ugly existing security door was removed at no cost. Only thing we would do differently is include a mechanism to limit the door opening so it can't touch the house. We are quite happy with our decision to upgrade our old door.

Overall we are very pleased with the quality of the door and the experience of picking the door. There was no pressure during the process. My only disappointment was when the door was installed, the remaining balance was not collected. The door was installed and the installer left without knocking on the door or anything. We didn't receive a call to collect payment either. So a full SIX WEEKS went by and I received an email that they charged our account over $1100 at 10:30 on a Friday night. I called and left a message to discuss my frustrations and would have appreciated a call before charging that large of an amount to our bank account. I never received a response to my call. I would recommend this company, but hesitate because I would not want that to happen to anyone else.

The door replaced a terrible quality "custom" door I purchased a couple months prior from a different company for almost the same price! The quality of this door compared to the previous door is like night and day. The installation is a thousand times better. Hands down, best security door in Phoenix. The quality is superb, it’s family owned, and they’re made in Gilbert, AZ. This isn’t a Lowe’s or Home Depot type of company either.This is a quality product made with American product and crafted in house. Gary, our salesman, walked us through the entire process with ease, and thoroughly answered all our questions. My wife Melissa and I truly love our door, its quality and its looks. Lastly, these doors are definitely more expensive than a those at Lowe’s/Home Depot, but the product you get is FAR SUPERIOR. In this scenario, you truly get what you pay for. Save your pennies, and buy from this company. You won’t regret it.

Excellent door, when you walk up, it pops and shows the custom effort and professionalism in how it is made. It was $400 cheaper then a homedepot install and it was not out of box it was custom to fit our house. The door also completely, yes completely seals from bugs. The install was quick and they also adapted the door for a number pad Schlage that I had on my original door. Everyone loves the door, install was quick, from purchase to install was only a few weeks. If I had known what this would have done to the curb appeal, security, and ability to have front door open and highly secure I should have done this twenty years ago.

Bought a door in 2017 (3 years ago) and their response and installation was great. A few months ago the door failed to latch correctly, leaving dogs and toddlers able to push the door open unless it was locked. We called them and were told they could come out for a service fee (that was ok) but couldn't guarantee the fix as they buy their door hardware from another vendor and it could be THEIR problem. So we called the lock vendor as instructed and were told that they couldn't tell the exact mechanism used from our invoice and we'd need to take the whole thing apart and bring it in to them to look at. Which we did and they promptly pointed the finger back at First Impressions or us for the door not being leveled or warping now. So the door apparently isn't leveled correctly now and it's up to us to get the mechanism back in to the door where it wasn't working to begin with. At this point the door is worthless since it won't shut or lock. Willing to pay for service but can't get help! Update 11/20/20 - Don't like their policy of paying 100% up front to schedule a service call a week away, but we did. They were able to repair the lock quickly. Jennifer, the Customer Care manager also followed up with a phone call to ensure our satisfaction which was appreciated, so great job!

We initially had two doors installed onto our front door and fence gate. The doors are beautiful and we are VERY happy with them. We just called and ordered our third door which is a security patio door. We arranged the install over a month in advance so we could be present and when they came to install it however when they came to install the glass was not here for some reason and yes, this was disheartening but things happen and a week later they called to schedule the glass installation. The door is awesome, we both love it, we have already had compliments on it. I take very little stock in the bad reviews from prior employees as we own a company and understand that most often employees do not leave on their terms so i hope people reading these reviews take those reviews with a grain of salt. I do agree it is harder to work with their customer service but also understand that a lot of companies are working short handed and everyone i have spoken with has been very nice. My husband and i made a trip to see this place and were soooo impressed by the work they do, many different types of things which means a lot more knowledge required out of all departments. The salesman was great, steering us to the correct colors to match our exterior. He did not push us into a decision and allowed us to take our time to select. About ten days later, they called again to confirm that date and schedule the installation. Everything about this installation was great! He also wasn't impatient. We decided on a front entry security screen door. An installation date was set and the installer arrived early on that day. He professionally installed the door. However, there were a couple of problems that he found when installing the door. He immediately called his supervisor to discuss the problem. We were told it would take a couple of days before the problems could be fixed. However, the supervisor came out the next day and fixed the issues. It's a great door. My experience with First Impression Security Doors was exemplary from start to finish. I visited their Scottsdale store after seeing one of their doors in my neighborhood to learn more about their products. I'm an engineer by training and a do-it-yourselfer by upbringing so I'm a tough sell. I was very impressed by the low pressure sales approach I received discussing the differences between their products and many (most?) others available in the local area. It was a "just the facts, Ma'am" discussion. On further investigation with other providers prior to my purchase in the North Phoenix area, I found cheaper prices by ~ 20% for flimsier doors with far less of a warranty than First Impression provides. In the end it was an easy decision. I spent a few hundred dollars more but, in my opinion, I got a far superior security door, an on-tiime delivery and installation by a superb team who were in and out in a little more than an hour. I would recommend First Security Doors to anyone looking for a beefy, all-welded, steel, powder coated security screen door.

Shawn in sales was very nice. The process for installation was great. They take their time to install which is very good, but they finished around 8pm. We were unable to really see the finished product due to the lighting. However once the door was installed, we noticed scratches and imperfections that need to be corrected. To get ahold of someone to come out was a bit frustrating. The guy that came out to correct the errors, seemed annoyed even though these were big obvious repairs that were needed. This is where they need to iron out a little bit of the wrinkles to ensure the process is satisfactory from start to finish. Otherwise, the service was good, thanks!

We had First Impression build us a gate. Our gate is beautiful and was approved by our HOA. They built the gate at their factory and then sent a worker out to install it. The worker had it up in 20 minutes. He also gave us instructions on cleaning and maintaining the gate during the AZ summer months. As with most of the reviews, the Sales person, (Roger) does a great job engaging and selling the customer. However once you complete the sale with rest of the experience is unprofessional. First I was told that I would receive a call the morning of install or the night before, I received a call 5 minutes before they arrived. Secondly we were installed on Friday 12/9/16. Over the weekend, we saw some issues that needed to be corrected. The door was not level and would not close well, the lock was loose and the shock that was supposed to ease the close of the door was not working properly. I called on Monday 12/12, Wednesday 12/14 and Friday 12/16. All 3 times I received a call back from someone that could not schedule a repair, just acknowledging I called and was assured that I would receive a call to schedule a repair. Here it is Monday 12/19. I just left a 4th message and over a week later still no repair scheduled. Based on the most recent reviews I would not have purchased from this company and I will be sure to let anyone I can know of this unprofessional service. UPDATE: The Installation company called me, the tech came out and repaired everything. All issues have been resolved. I updated my initial rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Doors are great quality and fit perfectly. Installer was neat, only 1 thing I noticed after installer left. The metal plate they put on bottom of door frame on my double patio door has 2 different ridge patterns. One plate covered entire frame of one door and extended onto part of frame of next door and had a different ridge pattern. One metal plate has wider ridges and one has narrower ridges. Looks cheap and like left overs were used. Would like it corrected as I paid top dollar for these doors.

We ordered two security doors with the color of Clay Pot, when the doors arrived we were disappointed with OUR color choice (too orange). So we contacted First Impression Security door by using their email system and asking if they could spray paint the doors since they where power coated, they couldn't do that because it just won't last. So we were stuck with what we got so we thought, but that's when the OWNER Tim called us, yes the owner called us to find a solution that was reasonable for both of us, remember we pick the color choice. Well Tim the owner was very accommodating and we both agree to have the doors removed and re-powered coated for a agreed upon price.
