On October 31, 2022, we had Northern Windows replace 7 defective windows that were installed in our home by another window company located in Orange County in October of 2020. Anthony and Chris of Northern Windows installed the new windows. They were courteous, friendly and helpful in explaining to us the problems with the defective installation of the 7 windows that were installed by the prior window company. Anthony and Chris' workmanship and professionalism was beyond excellent. They had to make several adjustments and repairs to defects in the the window openings caused by the improper and defective workmanship by the former window company that installed windows in 2020, before they could install all of the 7 new windows in our home. And, before leaving our home, they left all the areas where they were working neat and clean. We also need to give a shout out to Tim, the salesman from Northern Windows who sold the windows to us. He was courteous and very friendly and helpful in helping us choose the right windows for our home. He was diligent in following up with phone calls and emails to keep us apprised of all developments between the signing of the contract and the windows installation. We were very pleased with his professionalism and look forward to working with him in the future for other projects that may be needed in our home. We absolutely love the new windows installed by Northern Windows. We would recommend everyone to use Northern Windows for replacement of windows, as well as roofing, siding and other work needed in your homes. We were treated with a great deal of respect and courtesy by all employees we came into contact with at Northern Windows and we are proud to give them this review.

Our experience replacing our roof with Northern was wonderful. Steve came out and gave us a run down of what the problems were and explained everything. He really took the time to answer all our questions and explain the process. On the day of installation they sent extra guys to get the job done quickly since inclement weather was forecasted for most of the week. The team worked efficiently and quickly and we had a new roof in one day! Everything was cleaned up and the yard was left pristine! We are so happy with the level of service Northern provided us! Northern Window/Roofing performed roof replacement/repair and installation of dense pack and loose fill cellulose insulation at my home. I inquired via phone and the response and estimate were provided quickly. My installation was not standard due to pre-existing conditions and required a unique solution which Northern detailed in a clear/concise estimate. When it came time for installation, I was given daily updates on progress and also received calls from the sales manager each day to make sure I was satisfied. When the job was completed, I was given a detailed explanation of what work was done, what I should expect as my roof and insulation installations mature. Of special note, they kept our home and yard clean of debris the entire time. I have had many contractors working on my home and none did as much as Northern to keep my home in order. I would absolutely recommend Northern for roofing and Insulation. They are professional, on time, deliver on their assurances and reasonably priced.

The process of getting a new roof was one of the easiest experiences we have had regarding home improvements. From the first phone call with Donna, to meeting with Tim and discussing what was to be done, to working out installation dates and times with Dan, to the well done job by Jose and his crew, to the gutter installation with Tommy and his crew, we couldn’t be happier. The roof looks fantastic and the new gutters are the icing on the cake. Northern Windows is a very professional group that can be trusted to do the right thing. They don’t have a Jack of all trades doing the work. The installers of each service only provide that specific service. For example, they don’t use a roofer to install windows. We called Steve about replacing our storm/screen door. He came promptly and spent time looking at it carefully. He wound up advising us that he could certainly replace it for us with a new one. However, it would cost a lot, and he said as our current door could be repaired without too much difficulty, he didn't want us to spend all that money unnecessarily. He even gave us suggestions as to what we needed to do to have it repaired. It is great to know there are such honest people around. We needed our sliding door replaced as it very dated and would leak during heavy rain storms. Our neighbor next door recommended them so we called for an estimate and went ahead with the installation. Because of supply chain issues, it took almost 5 months to have them made. The technician finally came in, and put the door up. There was no header issues which was a relief and he fixed the flashing behind the siding. After being done, my neighbor who recommended NW pointed out that it didn't look like his door (no toe kick board and no capping on the door frame). So I called NW and explain the issue and had our technician come back to finish the door. I appreciate a company that will make good and will work with you.

Northern Windows Siding and Roofing just completed it's third major project on our home in Middletown. Two previous projects, one for a 19 window replacement and a second for fascia and soffit installation were both completed flawlessly. Our third project last week was a 2000 square foot roof replacement. A work focused crew of six men stripped the old roof down to the sheathing in three hours. After a break for lunch, ice and water shield, underlayment and drip shield were installed. Next came the installation of beautiful GAF Architectural shingles, pipe boots and kitchen vent. Before shingles were applied around chimney Eugenio skillfully took pains to apply step flashing and a finishing touch of brown overflashing to the base of the chimney. Something, I might add was never done 23 years ago. That oversight required patching later on. Eugenio and his crew were the best one could have for such a big, detail oriented project. Cleanup was phenomenal. Huge, mesh tarps were placed on the roof down to the ground covering plants, shrubs and AC compressor. A clean up crew member picked up constantly. Debris was deposited in a dumpster alongside the house. The surface area around the house was spotless when the crew left. The roof, the flashing on the chimney speak volumes to what one receives when Northern Windows is contracted to complete a project. The roof looks great. I couldn't be happier. Many thanks to Tim who was the lead man on all three projects over the years providing information and ideas. And thanks to Dan who scheduled the job in such a timely fashion.

Update: now almost 7 years later. Still receiving quality customer service. We had a small leak under our bedroom window. I called them Tuesday and they were here Wednesday servicing the window and double checking the others while here. My in-laws have now used them for siding and windows. You’re making a solid choice when going with Northern! Original review: Awesome group who works quickly and effectively. We had our windows replaced when we bought our home almost 5 years ago. They recently came out to service one of the locks and as usual, great customer service. I received an email back quickly and was set up with an appointment almost immediately.

I interviewed 3 crews and got estimates on my house and Steve and Northern stood out in terms of service, pricing, and professionalism (and honestly, the other 2 were great -- just Steve was that much better) What's more, the Northern crew did my an amazing job roof which was amazingly tough due to multiple rooflines and a 1920 house. We encountered many difficulties in such a house -- we had cedar shakes where we thought we had plywood, we thought there was only 2 layers of shingles to take of but there were 4 (FOUR!). Despite all this, he still came in under what my expected budget was and only slightly higher than what others' estimates before we knew of the problems. Can't recommend him highly enough. My next door neighbor is a commercial general contractor himself and gave them compliments on a job well done.

Emailed for an estimate was promptly contacted to set up a time to give a free in home estimate. After having spent 8 hours of my life with 2 other companies sales guys I was nervous... Nevertheless I went ahead and scheduled a time. He arrived right on time and was very friendly, I told him i was still shopping around and not to take up 4 hours of my time. He laughed and asked about my needs and told me about what they use, guarantee, and what my needs/concerns were. My roof looks amazing! From the sales person Steve, to Dan who managed the project and kept in touch and stopped in to check on things, to the contractors Manny and his team of installers to The trucker removing the debris and dumpster, to the gutter team lead by Tommy everyone was amazing!! They all took pride in the work and it was reflected in the followup call just to remind me that although they scan with the magnet to take up all nails to be careful with my dog in case one was missed!!!! Looking up at my roof it's beautiful and seamless from the top Of the roof to the top of the porch cover!! Even the trimmings to make sure that the water goes into the gutters and not end up in a puddle at my front door looks great (Steve you were right the trim looks amazing) This might seem trivial but following the rain last night and this morning I did not have to sweep away the water from my entry way on my porch..which has been annoying in more ways than can say!! Thank you Northern team for making this a great experience I am confident my roof will last for years to come!! Denise H
