I dealt with Tom Bush of Gilkey Windows and doors about installing a new door for us. Boy, did they deliver! I was kept in constant contact about when the door would be finished and delivered. They showed up on date we agreed upon and we’re right on time! Their installers we’re very professional and did an outstanding job! I highly recommend Gilkey!

I always do my due diligence before choosing a company to do anything for me. It came down to Gilkey and one other company. I chose Gilkey because I felt comfortable with their warranty and the fact they don’t use contractors to do their installs. I have only had these windows for a few days, so I can’t say how they will perform when it turns cold. I can say I believe they will be fine and they have totally transformed the look of our home. If I were selling my home, the curb appeal would definitely be a wow factor. They look great. The installer, Brian took his time and made sure everything was done right. My salesman was Tom Bush and he explained everything to us about the windows and made the purchase easy. I would recommend Gilkey to anyone wanting a quality made window. Jerry

We chose Gilkey for several reasons. Their salesman, Tom Bush, was a down to earth, no pressure salesman. We priced 3 window companies and Gilkey had the most reasonable price by far. We have an English Tudor style house and wanted to keep diamond grid windows on a front portion of the house. After speaking with multiple window companies, Gilkey was 1 of only 2 that could provide what we wanted. The only hang up was the delay in getting the windows. Between Covid-19 and the diamond grids there was a 90 day delay in getting the glass from the glass manufacturer at no fault of Gilkey. Their staff kept us fully informed along the way. They installed a total of 19 windows for us. Their installer, Anthony, and his crew were awesome. It took them 4 days to complete and properly install, insulate and wrap the windows. In all, it was worth the delay. Very happy with Gilkey and we would highly recommend.

We are so pleased with our new custom made back door. It started with our sales representative, Tom Bush. He explained everything perfectly and we designed the door to our specifications, colors & hardware. The wait time was long due to COVID and not being able to receive product supplies. Once the door arrived it was installed within a week. Nathan Kemmerer was our installation technician. He did an outstanding job of installing the new door. Everything was perfect and he removed all of the debris from the premises. Everything was left tidy and clean. He was the BEST ! Kelly did a great job of educating me during the sales call and Tom did a great job of getting my install scheduled when promised. Andrew and Nathan were my install team. They arrived on time and got right to work. They worked very efficiently, payed close attention to the details and cleaned up afterwards well. They had to come back to finish the the outside trim because it started raining, but they were back early the next morning and finished up quickly. What a huge difference the new windows have made! No more drafts, and very minimal noise from nearby I-71. I had Gilkey do two of my previous homes and their superior service and product had me call them again. A little more expensive than other companies; however, the salesman, Tom Bush, knew the products and had a vision for my dilemma. I replaced a set of French doors leading to my deck with a standard size door and window. The other companies that came to give an estimate had no samples and were not able to do the project as I wanted, since their products are not custom made. Tom made my request a reality. Everything happened within the time frame he promised. When the two gentlemen came to install the new door and window, they were just as great as the salesman. I am so happy I decided to use Gilkey Windows. As an added bonus, my monthly electric bill has improved too. I would not hesitate to use Gilkey Windows in the future. Just had my front door and storm door installed on Jan. 14, 2021. It is beautiful and Steven Long was the best installer ever. Very precise with installation and very professional. He cleaned everything up before he left; you would never know he had been there. Excellent service, excellent employees.

Gilkey stands by their products! No hassles. No hoops to jump thru. We bought a house that had Gilkey windows installed 15 years ago. Some of the seals on the windows had gone bad and the windows were cloudy. I called Gilkey of Louisville and made an appt with Paul for him to come see the windows in question. He arrived on time and was very professional. He ordered the replacement panes and a few weeks later he called to schedule the install. Again he arrived on time and was very professional. My old windows with new panes look like new. My old windows still look like new too! I don't see this kind of service very much these days. Thank you Gilkey for a good product at a reasonable price, an excellent (and usable) warranty, and excellent customer service

I wanted to wait a couple weeks after my window install was completed before I reviewed. We had several window companies come and give us estimates for windows in our entire house which included two large bow windows in the front. The estimate from Gilkey came in right in line with a couple and a fair bit cheaper that two companies and the window that I was getting from Gilkey was a better product. Kelly Lockman, from Gilkey, helped us with choosing the right windows to replace the old bow windows in the front of the house, 100% improvement on curb appeal. Once the windows were manufactured we scheduled the install and off we went. I can not compliment the installation crew enough, my house is not the easiest house to work on with lots of ladder trips but they knocked out the work in 2 1/2 days, I was quite impressed. We have not received our first electricity bill yet with the windows installed but I will be surprised if there isn’t quite an energy savings and we have already noticed an increase in our comfort. 10/10 would go with Gilkey again if we move and require new windows or doors.

Gilkey Window Co. salesman was well informed and answered all our questions completely. A hands-on product demo (using a scale model) helped with our decision too. Costs very competitive. Time estimates and impact of COVID on their system for production/delivery/installation were realistic. Installation of 10 windows in our home took two skilled & experienced installers only one day. Installers called ahead for arrival time. Old window removal and new window installation was done very well. Installer attention to detail (squaring frame precisely for perfect window opening/closing and seal as well as silicone sealing inside and out) was really done quite satisfactorily. Altogether our experience (and about 2 weeks after install) with Gilkey Window Co. has been very pleasing.

The installers were very good and friendly. When they came across a problem, they quickly knew what to do. The only issue for me was not finishing on time. Three days is not long enough to replace 10 normal windows, 2 large bay windows and 2 sets of patio doors. The work was done very well and clean up was good. I highly recommend Gilkey.

I called the service department at Gilkey because it looked like the glass in one of my outside doors had lost the gas inside. Justin had the guys come out and take a look and they measured for a replacement. It took a few weeks for the glass to come in but they were able to come out quickly and install it. Doug the installation manager also stopped by to make sure things were right with the final install. Over all everything looks great and I would use Gilkey again.
