Needed some patio screen doors and window screens replaced in addition to two 1950 era double hung glazed single glass pane replacements that had cracked. Preston's reviews were very positive and I also enjoyed his webpage that had a lot of valid information. Having been in multiple facets of construction nearly 30 years I am very particular on who I hire and how they do things. Previously had a carpenter that was willing to replace the window pane on another window. I had reached out to my network to see who even does work on these older type windows and even union glaziers did not want to touch the job, so I took a chance with the carpenter. He tried 2x and finally asked if he could install plexiglass instead. I begrudgingly agreed as time was a factor at the time. Getting back to Preston...this young man is wise beyond his age. He is very responsive and goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly the first time. From initial contact to site visit for estimate and scheduling the work it was a pleasure working with him. He strives to go above and beyond the initial task and that along with his attitude is why I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. I have no hesitation vouching for Preston and support his work ethic 100%. If he lets you down then there is something else going on with your expectations that he is not in control of.

Our house had sliding glass doors and screens that needed to be revived and Preston did exactly that. He explained the quality and condition of our doors, replaced the hardware and screens and explained the recommended maintenance. When scheduling an appointment he was very responsive and punctual on work days. The expense of his services was much easier to manage than replacing the doors! Mahalo Preston.

My wife hired Preston after meeting with several contractors, to install a new glass mirror in a slider floor-to ceiling room-divider system. Besides his quote being significantly below the rest, he seemed competent and professional by the way he assessed the damaged area, hardware, took accurate measurements, and examined the rest of the system. By the time his initial visit was over, my wife added another project to Preston’s list, replacing a sliding patio door. My wife was called off-island, so I began interacting with Preston almost immediately over the phone and via text. He called to say he was searching for a lower custom mirror price, among other local glass companies and would call back in the next 24 hours. He did call back, with a lower price, right on time. He kept me updated on the delivery status of the custom mirror, and immediately responded to my concerns when the big box store didn’t deliver the patio door on time. He graciously re-arranged his schedule twice to put in the door, due to delivery delays, and always confirmed his eta the day before. Finally met him when he arrived. He did an exceptional job removing the old door system and prepping the opening to fit the new door; he made it a perfect fit, nicely aligned and adjusted, plumb and level, and left the area spotless. Preston would proactively call or text the status on the mirror material that was ordered, until it got delivered, and then reached out to find the best time from us when he could come over to install it. When he installed it, he also sealed the other three mirror panes, adjusted and lubed their wheels, and vacuumed and cleaned all the tracks. Very professional fellow, I’m impressed. Efficient, knowledgeable, neat, and responsive. Glad we know who to call if we ever replace more windows or doors. Would highly recommend him! Brett S. Kaimuki January, 2023

We found Preston by word of mouth, he came highly recommended by friends for windows cleaning services. I live on the upper floor of a two story home, my windows, frames, and screens were heavily soiled with bird droppings and from many years of build up. I heard of Preston from my son who has a good network of reliable and competent experts. I reached out to Preston and told him I neede to have a broken window fixed and an adjacent screen repaired. He was very friendly and professional over the phone and he confirmed an appt for the next morning to give me an estimate. He showed up on time, did his estimate, sent me a copy and said he’d check the availability of supplies and parts he needed for the job and call me to set an appt. He called the next day and we set an appt for a few days later. He came as agreed and did the job quickly and efficiently. We were extremely pleased with his workmanship and attention to detail. We had to replace a missing circular bathroom window in a high rise condo. I had called a couple of other window companies to see if they would be able to replace it, and nobody would do a specialized window like this. I was then referred to Preston, and so thankful I was! Preston repaired several window screens for us. He installed a new screen on my sliding screen door, created a new frame for a bent screen, and popped backed on a few windows that had fallen out (we had a hard time getting them back in, but Preston got it). Unlike many younger people, Preston not only excels in his work (My wife and I are very satisfied customers.) but is a good communicator as well. We always knew when he would arrive (not only because he'd made an appointment previously) but he would text his arrival.
