If you’d not tackled a big home project like windows—I hadn’t—this post is for you. Trepidation gave way to excitement when we were put in the capable hands of Robert from Renewal by Andersen, who took time explaining details and answering our questions. He drafted three (3) plans—good/better/best. Once we made our choice, our install dates were booked. Communication was excellent each step of the way. The team arrived on time, courteous, professional, respectful. At day’s end, materials were collected and cleaned up in the same methodical fashion as setup. The foreman escorted us from window to window to demonstrate operations, talk about care and answer questions. What distinguishes a good experience from a great one is when a wrinkle occurs. For us, it was a small detail but important to us. A window that was to get stool-and-apron trim (a window sill) was given a picture frame trim instead (no sill). There’s reasons a sill might not be best for this window (faucet too close to window; proximity of adjacent cabinets, etc.) but the installer did not try to coerce us to accept the trim. In a flash, a team member was removing the trim and installed the sill. We love it! No pressure: There was no “if you sign now, you get an extra $XX discount—but only today.” Other contractors used this tactic so when Robert didn’t, I brought it up. His response: “Lol. Never!!!! You and your home are sooo much more deserving than that. Has to make sense and be the right thing; nobody should be pressured with such huge decisions!” Value: Before choosing Renewal by Andersen, I’d already spent considerable time with a major competitor expected to price out 20% below Andersen. Wrong. Andersen came in below the lower-cost competitor. I brought Andersen’s quote to the competitor, expecting a counter. Crickets. Integrity: The competitor bad-mouthed Andersen during an in-home visit. I tried to bait Andersen’s Robert to bad-mouth his competitor. He didn’t. I’m thrilled with everything. I started this journey assuming Andersen was the pricier option. Instead, Renewal by Andersen beat all expectations: 1) educated me thoroughly 2) developed a plan I understood and fit my needs/budget 3) executed on the plan and made the experience a delight.

The protocol he laid out was followed to a tee and all times for delivery and installation were met. The installers exceeded our expectations and completed the job in one day. They covered floor/rug surfaces and any nearby items to where they worked. I am not exaggerating when I say besides sparkling clean new windows our home was cleaner than before they came! We had a new sliding glass patio door installed. We could not be happier! From beginning the ordering process, all the way to the final instillation, customer service was amazing. Very professional. All of our questions answered patiently and throughly. Robert did our door install. He did a wonderful job!!! His attention to detail was impeccable! The door is perfect. Our home was left clean, with no trace of any mess left. Robert was so nice, friendly and truly cared about a quality job done! We will recommend Anderson (and Robert!) over and over, and will be using them to replace the rest of the windows in our home!

The Installers were great - efficient, thorough and clean. Due to a couple issues that the installers had no control over, we had followup service by Mike and Danny. They too were very thorough, recognized what had to be done, were clean and did a great job, were very easy to work with, and even came back the next day to re-mount the window treatments that couldn't be done initially because the caulk needed 24 hrs to dry. That meant a great deal to me because my husband is mobility impaired and I couldn't do it myself. I applaud Renewals installers and service team - they are the Company's "field reps and personalities" and they are dedicated to doing that well. Good job gentlemen!

So excited about this project! Every step thus far has been a breeze. I felt heard and helped. Adam Kraft was not only on time (and gave me updates on his status), but he made my vision come to life! We completely redesigned the look of all four floors of my home - doors and windows. He was patient and thoughtful. Adam understood the timeline (rotting wood and potential mold) and went through each step to make sure I was comfortable. He answered all of my questions and truly went above and beyond. I had my windows replaced in my home the original Windows from 1957 the aesthetics of the windows look really really nice but I still have issues I have a draft that comes in the window I have condensation that comes inside of the house on the inside part of the window I actually had frost that came on the inside of the window again inside of the house my project manager came out told me that I should raise my paper blinds to allow circulation of air and it will correct this problem their paper blinds I really just don't understand how you're going to tell me paper blinds are going to stop the Frost and condensation.. for me I found a piece of glass actually inside of my house on my carpet which is in one of the pictures and then outside of the house it was glass all outside of the house which the project manager cleaned up

Representative, John arrived on time to give us an estimate on our previous installed Anderson windows from 1997 when we built the house. Two birds flew into the outside double glass shattering the outside glass. John worked up two estimates one for double-hung and casement. Sale for one full price another 50% off. Plus my husband was a Vietnam veteran so we received an additional 300.00+ dollars off. Resulting in $16,000.00+ cost for 2 windows, installation and staining of casement windows. Unfortunately, it was way over my budget. John then called Anderson and inquired into just getting the glass replaced. This estimate was within my budget and I agreed purchase and install. John was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. In the near future I’ll be calling for hardware replacement. Very grateful.

If you need windows, call Renewal by Anderson and ask for Dania! I can’t tell you how awesome she was from her first time here to the completion of all of our windows (total of 7). Throughout the process, I had questions here and there and every time I did, I would message Dania and she would respond immediately and answer my question or get my question resolved immediately. I had called to see when my windows would be ready and had left a message. I asked Dania and literally 10 mins later I got a phone call and my first installation was scheduled. She checked in on how things were going from the beginning and as we waiting for our windows as well as during and after installation. I literally cannot say enough good things and the wonderful experience that I had working with Dania and the installation crew with Alex, who I also requested for both days of my installation. Call Dania if you need new windows. The windows themselves were better than I could even have imagined. I also was very happy to work with a woman, very attentive and communicative. Adam Kraft patiently explained the quality of the Anderson windows as compared with other types and took time to answer ALL of our questions. Sorry we made him late for the next appointment! This was a completely different situation from our previous experience with our windows 20 years ago. Update: Renewal by Anderson completed the project on time and with zero issues. I would highly recommend Renewal by Anderson for replacement of the rear patio door. So far so good, the door has not been installed but the purchase and scheduling the install process was seamless. It’s been great working with Adam Kraft, his knowledge of doors and windows was excellent and he answered all 1000 of my questions. We even were able to shave 3 weeks off installation time by performing the remote measure (usually is done later). I’m looking forward to the master installers coming in and completing the work with the same enthusiasm and professionalism I received from Adam Kraft. I reached out to 4 companies (big box stores and small mom-n-pop shops) and no one called me back. Renewal by Anderson contacted me the next day and was on site in 2 days. All service by RBA has been top shelf. The windows were all installed with minimum noise interruption and cold aur on a very cold day while i worked in my office. The technician Jacob, who returned this morning for touch ups on the trim and aprons couldn't have been more professional and informative. He walked me through what he would be doing before and explained in details what he did after completing the touchups. He also explained that the painters would be calling to schedule in a few days. The Project Manager, Chris, was also awesome. He came the next day after my reporting a minor detail overlooked by the installers, and insisted on a return visit to resolve it to my satisfaction, and Jacob performed beyond what I expected. The installers were great also. I am very pleased with the service, although it took a while to deliver, it was well worth the wait. Daniel and crew were the best. He had asked about wearing a mask and I was fine with no masking. They covered the floors and stairs with a clear sticking plastic to protect them. They also covered the furniture and set up plastic walls to confine the areas. It was cold so they worked on the bedroom window to finish it so I had a place to stay warm for the rest of the install. Daniel’s attention to detail as well as the crew was amazing. After the install Daniel took me to each window to let me inspect the work and the operation of the window and a patio door. The windows are not cheap but you get what you pay for. The installation and attention to detail from Daniel and his crew were just amazing. They even vacuumed the areas that they worked and when they left you could not even tell they were there. It felt really good to have a company put the customer first and they did so well I had nothing to complain about. It was a wonderful experience from purchasing to install.

Anderson is a longevity company. They are well known and produce a quality product. Prices seem to be high (and they are). However, when you actually learn what their process is, how the windows are made, the materials used and the beneficial effect those things can have on comfort inside the home as well as the utility bills. Protection of my belongings inside was cared for by the work crew as well as clean up after work was completed. I am satisfied with the work and the result. I want to take a minute of your time to speak to you about one of employees Mr. Pedro Cerillos (Installation Project Manager). I first met Mr. Cerillos on the morning of April 26, 2022, when he arrived at my home of 2932 N. Southern Hills Drive, Wadsworth, IL 60083. Upon arriving my home Mr. Cerillos introduced himself and informed me that he was there to measure my windows and patio doors. Mr. Cerillos also informed me that he was assigned as my Installation Project Manager and that any information with regards to the installation of the new windows can be addressed directly to him. Mr. Cerillos then went about measuring my windows. During taking the measurements of my windows Mr. Cerillos was very professional , courteous and answered all questions I had at the time. I also reminded Mr. Cerillos that the sales representative Mr. Mark Morrow had informed me that the windows will be ready withing 10-12 weeks. Mr. Cerillo seemed surprised and apologize to me because it appeared that I was misinformed. Mr. Cerillos went-on to inform me that it would be more like 16-20 weeks due to their current backlog. I was not happy to hear what Mr. Cerillos told me about the 16-20 weeks, but I thanked him for his honesty and told him that I will contact Mr. Morrow. Mr. Cerillos continued on measuring my home. I could not help but notice that Mr. Cerillos wrote down every measurement onto his yellow note pad and then transferred that information onto his IPAD. At times I also notice Mr. Cerillos measure a window twice to ensure that he had an exact measurement. Mr. Cerillos also shared with me all the measurements that he transferred from the yellow note pad onto his IPAD. I recall that on one occasion while the installers were at my residence, Mr. Cerillos arrived to inspect and I recall during our conversation that his young daughter was at the hospital with her mom. I informed Mr. Cerillos to go ahead and head out to the hospital and Mr. Cerillos told me I just wanted to make sure that everything was going well with the installation process. I am proud to have met such a professional as Mr. Cerillos and I salute his professionalism and dedication to his job, and I would like to thank you for having such an outstanding employee on your team. Everyone’s was great at Renewal by Andersen, but it does really all come down to the installation of the windows: will they be installed right? TOM / THOMAS did the replacement windows by himself. And I could tell in the first 15 minutes that everything was going to be fine. Set-up, attention to detail, caulking, etc. He was there for 7.5 hrs. Any work done on my home, I take photos. It’s a nice addition to the house papers file, but it also gives me a chance to see what’s going on. Eventually I just stopped, and watched a movie, because I knew Tom was doing everything perfectly. Tom really knows his stuff. Never had that much trust before; it was a great feeling.

Expensive (which is not unusual these days). The install was quick—done in a day—the crew of 10 descend upon your house like angry vultures—I hid in the basement. Unfortunately I had to spend two hours cleaning after they left, they trashed my bathrooms (think nasty truck-stop bathroom), and spray painted on my potting bench which now has to be repainted. Andersen provided a compensation after our complaint. Now we cannot get a screen for one of the windows (we didn’t even consider that a window would not come with a screen); we have 9 out of 10 windows on the front of our house with screens. I don’t want to say anything about our “design consultant” here. Overall, I have to say that our experience was not good. I would have a tough time recommending this company.

Overall happy with the process from sales to installation. However, I feel the salesperson was all about promoting Anderson windows and how their product is superior and did nothing to show examples of the functionality or features of the products (other than showing an example of the glass). I feel the installation crew was too small for our project, as they were at our home for 12 hours. Clean up inside of the house was great but poor cleanup outside of the home. Some pieces that were installed had imperfections, and for the price paid, I would not expect imperfections due to human error.

My husband and I got 2 quotes for windows and decided on Renewal by Anderson. The sales team was thorough in their delivery to make us comfortable with the product and the next steps of installation. Then we got in touch with the project manager, he too was great and even drove to our house on a last second basis because our window that we were replacing fell through the rot at the bottom of the window (down an inch). This scared us as we were still waiting for our new windows to arrive. He assured us the window wasn’t going to fall out. Then our crew on the days of installation were amazing. They showed us where the rot was, what we may need to do to our siding projects and made us feel comfortable with what they were doing to prevent future issues. We also had a question about another door in the house that was starting to leak and he gave professional advice on that as well. Our experience was great! We had one hiccup that our doors didn’t arrive when expected but customer service helped rectify that situation with little push back. We highly recommend renewal by Anderson and the team!

I don’t think I have ever paid attention to what goes into making windows and patio doors. It’s something we are so accustomed to in our everyday life that we don’t even think of. Until the draft of cold air becomes too annoying in winter time or the apartment doesn’t cool off enough in summer as it should. And then you learn that there are windows and windows; you learn about exclusive materials that would not crack over time and unique features, such as a thin silver coat laid on the glass, or a metal frame done in one single piece to keep a specific gas trapped between the glass panes so that you can shield more than 95% of the UV rays and keep your house cool in summer and warm in winter, and save money in A/C and in heating, respectively. And you learn that those windows and those doors are made to fit with precision - to the 1/16th of an inch - the space left by your previous leaky one cracked ones. This is what I learned from Michael Morrow, one of the design consultants of Renewal by Andersen. The attention to the details that the company has for its products was embodied by the attention to the details and by the knowledge, patience and empathy Michael showed during the meeting we scheduled to learn about the products. I never thought I would have learned so much about windows. And I never thought I would seen replacing windows and doors as an investment. The sales meeting with Michael led to a follow up visit by a technician, Stan Zon, who spent several hours not only taking all the measurements, but also advising and explaining how the job would be conducted. I don’t think I have questions that remained unanswered and I cannot wait for the day of installation! (which, to be honest, is the only “complaint” I have because it is later than what I initially expected, but - hey - in COVID time everything is backlogged..!). Happy customer here! Quick update after installation day: the patio and deck doors, as well as the windows, look even better than what I thought. The installation team worked an extra day (due to weather conditions) with great professionalism, attention to details and to my belongings and they left my place all clean! Totally worth the investment!

Chad helped me design an window replacement plan that identified which windows needed immediate attention and which did not. As a widow who needed to make some big financial decisions for the first time without my husband, I very much appreciated Chad’s analysis snd advice and we came up with a plan that works for me. The service technician whose name is Martin was very professional and came on time and did a quick install. He also asked if I had any other issues. Their care and attention to detail was impressive-from the set up to be sure our home would be dust free, the exact measurements taken for a perfect fit, the perfectly placed trim, the finishing touches of caulking being sure our window was weather tight, and the meticulous clean up-every last detail was addressed. They were true pros. LaShon took care of all the communications through phone and email and also answered all our questions between the time we contracted with Andersen to the week of the install-and called 5 minutes after Matt and his crew left to make sure we didn’t have any final concerns. From start to finish Andersen really is unsurpassed in professionalism. It is obvious they are an old fashioned service oriented company. We’d do business with them again any day!

This project started as a window repair / replacement of two windows. However it turned out to be a much larger full window replacement in my house. From the first consultation with Diann through installation with Daniel, the entire process was handled professionally. Diann’s design assistance in picking color, style of window and invisible screens were both helpful and spot on to make our house look so much better. It was followed by the the folks who took all of the measurements, described any required changes and took care of all the permitting. The process was finished off by Daniel and his crew. Daniel is a consummate professional and a master craftsman. He and his crew were exemplary in taking care of our stuff and paying attention to the small details on the installation. While we are only two days post installation we are extremely happy. There was one small glitch on the order for a piece of trim but beyond that the entire team made what could be a very painful process a great experience.

Just wanted to update my experience with Andersen Renewal windows now that we have had a few cold days. This is something you have to find out for yourself. There is no doubt they are good quality windows however the material they use for the frames actually conducts the cold. My sister has vinyl windows (not Andersen) and her window frames are not nearly as cold as mine are. At first I thought there were drafts but that does not appear to be the case. The material that is used just gets so cold that you can feel it before you touch it. I really cannot remember if I asked for Wood interiors but I probably could not have afforded them. So if you are looking for replacement windows, by all means check out Andersen just keep in mind the conduction of cold if that is something that would bother you.

The installer, Robert, called ahead of time to let us know when he would arrive. He arrived exactly on time. He professionally prepped the work area and then began to meticulously work to install a slider door to replace a French door. He worked for about 11 hours. His work was like a work of art. He did a wonderful and professional job. Even the neighbors commented on the quality of his work. Prior to leaving he meticulously cleaned the work area. Except for the new door it was hard to tell work had been done in the house.
