We ordered our blinds for our brand new home through Blindsource which was recommended from our builder. We had all our windows done, they have quality blinds at an affordable price. When Danny Magley came out to install he was on time, very professional, did an amazing job and cleaned up after he was done. He was very polite and respectful of our home. We're extremely happy with the look and quality of our new blinds and will definitely be recommending Blindsource to all of our friends and family!

Love my 4" shutters. Took a bit of time to get, but they look great. Very helpful with suggestions on which style and size to get. Installers were always friendly when showing up and clean when they leave. Highly recommend.

There were circumstances that could have prevented him from showing up to do our install, however instead of delaying us he came and did the entire install himself. I had been checking prices through other blind companies and could not settle of anything. Nothing felt right and every place I went through drew more questions. I was driving down Broadway and saw the Blindsource van. I took a picture of it and called them when I arrived home. A designer came out and measured discussed quality and textures. A gentleman named Dave came and re-measured, talked about textures again and what my goal was for my home/condo. Everyone was so kind and considerate. Dave installed my shades and Dan installed my shutters. Both were exceptional, professional and thorough. The quality of my product is top notch!! I will recommend them to everyone. Blindsource did an amazing job! From beginning to the end I was nothing but impressed. They sent an interior designer to help me pick blinds that would compliment my home. They were never pushy and always polite. The install team did a great job and left my home as clean as they found it. There was a small issue with a blind that was installed and they repaired it with zero hassle and in a timely manner. Nothing but good things to say about them. If you’re thinking about using Blindsource, stop thinking and give them a call!

It was a good experience from start to finish. The assistance and suggestions when picking out the blinds along with the installation process was all flawless. Even several weeks later when we went back into the store with the blind assist tool that would not extend (for raising and lowering high blinds) it was cheerfully replaced at no cost to us. Could not ask for a better experience all the way around! We love our new window coverings!

These guys were so easy and awesome to work with. Before meeting with them, I was pretty clueless and overwhelmed with what kind of blinds I wanted (all I knew what that I just wanted it to look pretty 😆) and they made the process really simple, not overwhelming, fast for me, had great pricing, and their service guys who came back to install them were super friendly, quick, and polite. I initially had them put blinds up when I bought the house, then called them a few years later (last week) to add some blackout shades in my bedroom so I could sleep better, and the basement where I had initially opted out of putting blinds in those areas. Will definitely use again and would hands down recommend Blindsource.

However, today I called when an eight year old blackout blind had a string break on it. They are professional, detailed oriented, timely, and very helpful. I’ve never had issues with an order. They always show up on time. When we started looking to add window coverings in our new home, we read almost all of the near-perfect reviews for Boise Blindsource. Seeming too good to be true, we requested a visit by one of their design consultants. Danielle brought samples in line with what we were looking for and provided great ideas for our home. After submitting a reasonable estimate, she worked with us on the modifications we desired. A few weeks later, Dallin and Dan installed 17 transitional blinds quickly and professionally. They also took the time to explain the installation process, provide operating instructions, and made sure everything was working perfectly. What a great company! In 2005 we had Blind Source install window coverings. They did a great job. Fast forward to 2021 - We had some minor repairs to some blinds so we called Blind Source. They came out and honored the warranty for the blinds we purchased in 2005. Great Experience!!! Doesn't get any easier, they come over show you samples and you pick what you like. Then they measure all your windows and in a few weeks they come back and quickly hang the blinds. Super easy and friendly folks to work with from beginning to end. Also felt like they pricing beat most of the big box stores and a few other companies we started with. I even ended up with some power blinds and they walk you through all that and then I hooked them to my Alexa...super easy.

I will say that the blinds we purchased look great and we are pleased with them. I also had a pleasant experience with Danielle, our sales person. I was not pleased with the installation process. Our brand new window reveals and trim were cracked. My husband heard the first screw crack the wood and asked the installers to drill pilot holes in order to hopefully prevent further cracking. This advice was not taken and the remaining windows all had cracks. I had two other minor issues with the blinds, which were taken care of quickly and easily. Our feedback and disappointment about the cracked reveals was met with excuses. I understand that wood can crack, but it was the fact that no precautions were made that was upsetting to me. We were offered $50 off, which was 4% of the total price. Speaking with the owner, he clearly wanted to placate me, but I felt that he was insincere. Perhaps I am just an annoying customer, but I have honestly never complained about any type of service before this. I did not have a good experience.

We have five good sized windows that we installed motorized Hunter Douglas PowerView blinds on. They are battery operated and all 5 are almost 7' long. After a year, the batteries are still working! I'm amazed. We use them all about twice a day for opening and closing. They are top down, bottom up and we are very happy with them. We are so glad we went with the automated ones. They give you a remote so that you can do an individual window or do them all at once. I can also operate them from my iPhone or iPad. Super. I do have some extra batteries ready because I do know they won't last forever. :-)

7/27 Update Blindsource came to fix the blind and politely listened to all of my frustrations. I still had a 1 star experience, detailed below, but given all of the external factors (being shut down in the beginning of the pandemic as well as people being home more and thus requesting and noticing more repairs) the amount they got behind wasn't entirely their fault. I'm going to change my review. I'd say in general, warranty repair gets a 3 star rating, solely because it takes so long to get on the schedule (my previous repair took 3 weeks). But sales, workmanship and general interaction with the owner and general manager are 5 star experiences. To be perfectly honest, it seems they provide such a great service that they can't keep up with the influx of work. Hopefully, they will get that figured out! 7/24 Original Review I'm pretty disappointed in the warranty service scheduling. I called for service on 6/15 and I am still waiting. The original estimate was 3 to 4 weeks, but I just found out today that the current estimate is 7/31 and still not "officially" scheduled. Almost 7 weeks of waiting with an unfunctional blind that provides the main light source in our main living area is absolutely unreasonable in my opinion. Everything about our original purchase and installation was a 5 star experience, but the repair service is severely lacking.

Initial install was not precise considering there were 3 blinds installed in three even horizontal windows; one above the other. The mounting brackets appeared randomly located on each blind. Blindsource sent out a technician quickly to center all (3 per Blind) 9-brackets equally from the edges providing a uniform look top to bottom. Screw holes were filled and repainted. Blindsource has done several window tinting projects for us. Window tinting, which is a film that is placed directly on the glass, can be a great solution for controlling light and UV rays. I would highly recommend Blindsource for this type of product as well.
