I was a little anxious about the visit since I knew I couldn't come in with my 1y/o cat. It was her first time at the vet, and I didn't get any complains so hopefully it's because she did good. Overall the visit was great. You call to the office for them to come out and pick up your baby, they explain the whole process (the techs). I also got a called from the vet himself who explained everything he was recommending for my Belle. Definitively coming back for her future medical needs.

I wanted to find a vet that was close to home and after doing some research went with PG Animal Hospital. From the very first contact and throughout each of my baby’s appointments they’ve been wonderful. Communication is on point. They are professional and friendly. I love how they’re still following Covid protocols! The various staff I’ve interacted with show obvious delight in the animals they care for. My only complaint is that they don’t accept pet insurance. But, they do work with you by providing estimates of what needs to be done and thereby helping you prioritize any work so you can make the best choice for your pet. Hespera and I thank the staff and vets for their care!

Staff always makes our visit a breeze - they clearly communicate everything from appointment times/reminders, price breakdowns and any issues that our dogs may have. We were in & out yesterday in about 25 minutes for an annual exam with vaccinations. Our baby was a happy camper all the way home!

My Vinnie had a dental cleaning and some loose teeth removed yesterday. He is quite comfortable and doing so well after the procedure. I highly recommend this Hospital. Have been taking my 3 chihuahuas for about 2 yrs and I highly trust their practice and care. Everyone is so helpful. The Doctor called with an update and progress before removing his teeth. Their flexible schedule is also very helpful. Thank you for your taking care Vinnie so well!.

Great customer service. They actually listen to the patient and diagnose the issues being shared versus focusing too much on upselling like I have experienced at other vet clinics. I had taken my dog sho was experiencing severe allergies to two other places prior to coming to PG Animal Hospital. They were the only ones to actually listen to the situation and diagnose it.

Was given the wrong dose of medication. Had to bring Jake back to be weighed in order to get the correct dose. I previously was given 22 -44 in September. This time I was given 11 - 22. Jake actually weighed 24lbs. Of course he gained weight since September. He should have been weighed before distributing the medication and I wouldn't have had to make a second trip.

Very friendly, and accessible, veterinary practice. Also, ( probably more importantly ), professional, and thorough. The doctor takes time to talk with you, and he's never in a rush. That's comforting.

Let me start off to say that my experience was AMAZING!! There are not enough stars! My puppy was very ill and was diagnosed with parvo, I went to several places to receive care and was not able to receive help or was quoted a ridiculous price to save my furry baby! I had to act quick so I contacted PG animal hospital and spoke to Carmen, She went above and beyond to help me out with my scary and difficult situation. The prices are very reasonable and they really care! She helped me through every step of the way and my puppy received the best care! I would also like to Thank Anthony he is the Vet tech and he was also amazing and he and Carmen did everything they could to save my puppies life. My puppy is doing much better and is almost into full recovery today. He is getting back to his normal self and I don’t know what I would have done without the awesome care I received from this hospital. The doctor was very involved and concerned and helped me through step by step. If you need good care for your pets look no further! Thank you PG animal hospital team! Very grateful for everything you were able to do for us.

I tried to get my new rescue a doctor's appointment with the vet that originally checked him and they had nothing available. My other fur baby is a patient at PG Animal Hospital so I called. They had an appointment available right away! The staff is pleasant, and I absolutely love the Vet. Right now, vet techs come get the dogs from the car- The tech was super nice, I could tell he was smiling behind his mask and he was so gentle in getting my big boy leashed up to go inside. The appointment was so fast! I was able to do everything before work! The Vet calls right after the visit to explain what he found, his diagnosis, and to advise what he's prescribing and how to administer the meds. He also advised a follow up time frame. The Vet is so gentle in his tone with me, and you can discern he has to be just as loving to the animals. I have the ultimate trust in this facility, the staff and Vet with my two babies.

Dr. Naren & Rahul Khianey and staff are the best!! My senior cat is always at ease and happy. They are so kind and compassionate that my dog actually loves going to the vet. This office is amazing and our family and pets can’t say enough kind words to express the excellent care and service Dr. Khianey and his staff provide.

Providing outside service maybe great for the provider, but not for the customer. Make it known to wear a mask. Inside service provides customer the opportunity to question billing. Not sure or understand what the 250.00 senior profile fee covers, when theres a comprehensive senior exam. Please explain.

They’re still operating with a COVID protocol where only the animals are allowed in the hospital. It took 3hrs to get my dog’s exam completed and the initial paperwork had errors that had to be fixed.

Prince George's Animal Hospital is the place to care for your pet, they treat you like family the care that your pet receives is excellent my Coco had cysts under her breast she is 14 years old test showed it wasn't cancer her recovery was remarkable and her diet was changed I am very thankful to them, they called and checked on her condition now I don't go anywhere else but to them,she was treated with tender loving care

They have taken great care of my sweet kitty! Her old vet closed during the pandemic and I was frantically searching for a new vet as my cat had an abscess. Thankfully a family member recommended Drs. Khianey. I’ve only been during the altered services of the pandemic, but it runs smoothly. You arrive and call the hospital, they send someone out to get your pet, the vet calls during their exam, and then they send someone back out with your pet. Both doctors have taken very good care of my cat through her complicated recovery from the abscess and annual exams. The prices are tough like any vet, but for the DC area are very reasonable. They’re very caring, watching out for my kitty over time. The vet tech I saw for her annual remembered my cat from almost a year ago, and it’s obvious they’re connecting with each pet.

We've been using their service for our dog "Bagel" for a year now (both checkups and boarding) and they never let us down always there to assist us with any issues with our dog. Also their Vet assistants are awesome! professional and knowledgeable. Shout out to Anthony recently for helping us and giving suggestion regarding our issue with Bagel. :)

You have to sit in your car while waiting for your pet. The hospital doesn't have a waiting room. The hospital doesn't provide you with a discharge summary when your pet is discharged from the hospital.

Great Staff, from the Vet techs that come out to your car to greet you, to the front desk and over the phone. The Dr is super detailed and goes in depth over the whole process of your fur baby while in their care. I know my furbabies are in good hands.

So glad that we switched to PG Animal Hospital! We previously used a vet out of a big box store and got increasingly frustrated by terrible service and constant cash grabs. Set up an annual check up visit with PGAH on the recommendation of a neighbor. I am so glad that we did because when the vet got her heartworm test results, confirmed it was positive (ran a 2nd test to make sure). It is a scary course of treatment, but doing it with a vet that takes the time to explain things and answer all my questions makes the world of difference. I feel nothing but confidence in the vet and their incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

I love the doctors and kennel staff. They were able to squeeze in my pup for his horrible allergy flare up. I was a little concerned that the check out staff was not paying attention as far as my bill. They had to charge my card twice since they forgot items in my bill and still managed to forget to give me his 3 month supply for heartworm and flea/tick prevention. I returned with my dog for his recheck and reminded them about the meds. Then they were giving me a 3 month supply of just one med but not the other. I asked the gentleman where the other med was since I paid for both. He proceeded to tell me it was in the same box. They had placed only one chew of the other med instead of a 3 month supply as I previously requested and, to my knowledge, paid for. He then came back with the remaining dosages. I suggest checking your itemized receipt and that you received all your meds.

PG Animal Hospital is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a primary care vet in the area. They’ve helped me take great care of my puppy and I am grateful to have found them! 👌🏽😍 Dr. Khianey is really AWESOME and pleasant, and he takes time to listen to your concerns and asks great questions while answering all of yours. His record is flawless with treating my pup over the 6 months that I’ve had him and I am very happy. The front desk staff and technicians are really cool too. Super nice, always professional and caring, and I can usually get an appointment within a few days and it doesn’t break my wallet. If ever I need an emergency appointment, they always find a way to get my puppy in to receive care, and after the visit, the follow up calls from Dr. Khianey and/or the staff to check on the pup is really “5 star” impressive! and comforting. #Dream Team! #Godsend! #I really LOVE this place #Definitely would recommend

We have been coming to Dr. Naren Khianey since 2013 with our 4 cats. They have always received the highest level of care and attention in an unhurried atmosphere. Dr. Khianey takes time to explain things clearly and answer whatever questions we have. He and his staff are always very polite and gentle with our animals.

We've brought our dogs here for about 10 years and have been happy to return for every medical need and for occasional boarding. The doctors and all staff interactions have been consistently good. They put the dogs at ease. COVID-19 times were very hard but they made it work, too. We'll be back.

I had to take my canecorso in for cherry que surgery. Staff was super friendly and responsive to my requests and needs. The veterinarian took the time to explain everything in detail and really took an interest in my dogs overall health. They are very convenient fir me and the Saturday hours are great for my schedule. My dogs recovery from surgery is 4 weeks and I’m confident they will continue to give good service. If not, I will be back with a review 🤓

Dr. Rahul Khianey very pleasant to talk with along with his team are very warm, caring, and professional. The doctor and his team listens and care about the well being of your Fur-baby as if they is their only patient and concern. The service provided is quick yet thorough and you come away knowing that they are well knowledged to inform of concerns if any and organized to get your pet in and out (less stress). While pricing is fair (2nd round of exams, shots, pawnicure) her teeth cleaning (pending) may be a challenge for me (at this time) but it's well worth it so I will return with comfort and confidence in the doctor and his team. I recently took my 12 year old Chihuahua, Coco, in for dental work and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and the level of care that she received there. I was able to take her in to be seen two days after scheduling so there wasn’t a long wait. The receptionists were warm and welcoming and explained everything about the procedure and all costs clearly. Dr. Khianey was very informative, caring, and was open to all questions after all the work was done. They also followed up the next day to make sure that everything was alright with her and I really appreciate that. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I definitely recommend them. It was my first time going there and I’d gladly have them care for my baby again in the future! Great job guys!

Great communication and friendly service from staff and doctor. Don’t really ever have a problem with this clinic. Only heads up is it can be pricey but that’s with any private vet outside of banfield and even they have their issues. So overall a great place they always take care of my baby’s needs.

I have been looking for a place that can surgically remove a mass on my dogs nipple. After numerous google searches, I stumbled across Prince George's Animal Hospital. Prices are very reasonable and they are super efficient. I will follow up with a post surgery review but everything has been great so far. Thanks! UPDATE: I am 100% satisfied with the service I received from Dr. Naren and Dr. Rahul. I dropped my dog off around 8am and received a call around noon that all went well with her surgery. Dr. Rahul also went over the different medications that my baby would need to take. I asked that my dog be groomed prior to her discharge and they did an amazing job with that (she can be a bit of work when it comes to being groomed). The process was easy from start to finish and I am extremely grateful! I'd also like to give special recognition to Carmen. My dog had an accident in the car (due to nerves) and Carmen provided materials to clean up my car. She is extremely caring. Thanks so much! I'm glad to know that I have a new reliable vet and will no longer be taking my baby to Petsmart Banfield hospital!

I especially appreciate the care. my dog received when she cut her paw on glass in the park and required stitches. It was a long process but she has healed completely. I took my dog to the doctor as an emergency because my doctor was not available until Tuesday. Things happens for a reason. I loved the welcoming environment, and the options given to me to treat my dog's ear infection. My current vet is far from my house but also very good, and when I was getting ready to leave, I noticed the office had patients and everyone was being greeted with courtesy. The staff had connections with each dog, which for me, was a great indication of people that care for the well-being of the animals. I am definitely recommending them and switching to them in Hyattsville!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Awesome doctors, awesome staff, awesome service. Knowledgeable, caring, organized. 5 stars all the way! This hospital has taken care of my dog since I got him seven years ago. I think my dog is more active and healthy now than he was when I got him. One thing I love about Dr. K and his staff is that they emphasize the importance of accountability. They know they are great at what they do, but you as a pet owner have to do the little things right in between visits. It's not just about emergency care, but it's also about preventive care. If you have a pet, bring your pet here for care. You will NOT regret it.

I adopted two kittens and had a voucher for a free physical for my new pets. They were so nice and friendly at this location. One of the kittens needed to get another shot and they offered to do it or let me bring him back to the shelter's clinic with no pressure. The vet was very nice and knowledgeable. Mine was the first appointment of the day at 8am and I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Not bad at all.

I've been going to Prince George's Animal Hospital for the past 5 years and have had consistently good experiences. The staff are very caring towards the animals there, and you can tell they really care about the four-legged patients! The vets (Drs Khianey Sr and Jr) are thorough and take the time to listen. I don't feel like I'm being up-sold when I'm there. During the pandemic I had to take my cat for an unexpected visit and I was very nervous about how it would go. They picked up and dropped off my cat curb side and I discussed the issues over the phone with the vet. It went great, big relief to me that they are taking safety seriously during COIVD!

We have 17 year old dachshund that was only seen by one vet his entire life. I have since moved from AA County to PG County and needed to find Rupert a new vet. They saved my 6 week old puppy that had pravo and I will forever thank them! They make sure that they are comfortable with them and are as gentle as possible! The whole process was pleasant from initial phone call to when the tech came outside to receive my 14yo chihuahua. Given the pandemic humans aren’t allowed in the clinic, but everyone was profesional, respectful, and organized. The Dr. was thorough with the diagnosis and I received emails with more information. Although I was worried about this process they gave me a piece of mind knowing they took good care of my little Maui.

Everything went smoothly as usual, however, when we were all coming out of the exam room, there were several very large dogs in the waiting area and it was very tight and I was hesitant to bring all three of my little ones through. The tech saw the same situation and before I could say anything he sprang into action and asked me to wait in a third room while he got the larger dogs to move to the other side of the room. Dr. Narendar Khianey, DVM has been the “only” veterinarian that I have entrusted my cats (3 fur sons,1fur daughter) to over the last 25+ years. My fur daughter lived for 16 yrs. I have two remaining fur sons that I have had for 18yrs and 9 yrs. When my cats have had health problems and acute problems, I have been able to get them in to be seen the same day. I find Dr. Khianey to be up to date on his veterinary knowledge. He explains health problems in a way one can understand. He follows up with you through direct conversations until the problem is resolved. During this pandemic, my senior fur son had a recurrent problem that needed surgery and drainage. I called when the office opened and was able to get him in that morning and home that evening. He was better within 24hrs. Thank-you Dr. Khianey for all the years of dedicated veterinary care.

My experience with the Khianey family and team has always been great. Both Dr. Khianey and son always laughed at my jokes so that's a win in my book. I have been a long time, but infrequent customer and have watched the practice grow over time. None of my cats came home worse or seemingly traumatized by their experience. I just wish they get over the whole car ride thing lol.

Both Dr Khianey are exceptional professionals, since day one they’ve treated Tamalito so good! My little fur ball pal whenever needed a shot he would get treats, even while doing his nails/claws. Moving to a new area it’s always challenging to find doctors, we were lucky enough to find this vet and now that we are moving out again, we don’t care driving 2 hours, as long as our cat is in their hands it will be worth it. I truly recommend them since they know how to treat their pacientes, employees, and clients.

We brought our first cat here as a terrified shelter rescue, and they worked hard to make sure he was comfortable and had the care that he needed. Making an appointment is easy, as they are open on Saturdays, and they are very quick to respond to e-mails. Honestly, I can't think of a way for them to improve their service and look forward to bringing our cats here again, even though we are moving farther into the city.

We took our dog to PGAH yesterday for the first time. They were very accommodating to us and our large Presa Canario. They did their exam and let us know up front what could and couldn't be done for our dog. We thought he would need an expensive surgery, but that probably wont help his problem. So instead of taking our money (like other vets have done), we went with a different approach. We had to drive 30 minutes to their office, but for the experience it was worth it! I read a lot of reviews about other vets in my area, but this office by far is the best in my opinion.

I felt welcome and my dog had the best care in this place although brief. They are close to my home and that is a big plus. They are a bit pricey, but in my opinion worth it. The vet is gentle and loving with the pet and offered us compassion in grieving times. Highly recommend them. On top of that the place is always very clean and the rest of the staff is friendly.

Prince Georges Animal Hospital is the most incredible place, with the best staff and Dr. K is absolutely amazing. The entire staff makes you feel so welcome and comfortable, my experience was taking the family cat who was very ill, Dr. K. made a suggestion to take her home and let her spend her remaining days with our family. When she passed I was a total wreck and immediately called the clinic he heard how upset I was and called me right back he told me to bring her in the next morning and he would take care of her for our family and knowing that the hospital family was there for us made our loss easier to bear. I refer everyone I know who has a family member (pet) to take their beloved pets to Dr. K and know that they will receive so much love and expert medical care that they will never want to go any where else... I had my first experience with the PG Animal Hospital yesterday and it couldn't have gone better. We have an old-man cat (16+ years old!) who has a bit of an eye infection. He REALLY hates going to the vet and I didn't want to have to wait a long time for an appointment. I called these folks and they got me an appointment just two hours after I called and were also very friendly and understanding on the phone. The location is also amazingly convient with ample free parking. And coming from DC is super easy -- less than fifteen minutes and just off the BW Parkway. For DC folks It is so much easier to get to than the animal hospitals in DC and VA. The front desk staff were also friendly and understanding and the wait was brief even on a Saturday afternoon. It was also clear that the staff there get along and enjoy who they work with and what they do -- great atmosphere! Check them out! Check them out! You'll be happy you did and so will your animal friend!

We have two dogs that Dr. Khianey & his son have taken care of since the day we brought them home over 2 years ago. Both doctors are gentle, while examining our pups from head to toe. A few days ago our Parker, (shichon) got all his yearly booster shots & never made a sound or showed any sign of pain. My poor dog had a accident and her regular hospital said they didn’t have time to see her so I search for a local hospital that could take walk ins and I found PG animal hospital and spoke with Nyla, explained what happened and asked if they took walk ins and she said absolutely! I told her I would see her in a few. I arrived to their facility and was greeted by amazing receptionists that walked me through everything they needed. I was probably waiting only 15 minutes and was seen. We were taken to the back by a nice guy (sorry I do not know his name) but he was very calming and nice to my girl. I informed him she is very scared of everything and he did what he could to calm her down. Then shortly after Dr. K sr. Came in and looked over sky ( my dog lol) and explained everything he saw and what they would have to do. I had to leave her for a few hours then went and picked her up. When I did I spoke to Dr. K jr who explained everything that would be needed to do and would see me in a few days! This facility is great! I will be taking my dog here from here on out! This was my first time visiting an animal hospital for my own fur baby. I came home one day and my Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) had a swollen face. Turns out, it was an allergic reaction to a bug bite. But prior to that day, I always went to Banfield with my dogs. The receptionist was so friendly and the animal hospital smelled amazing, which was first for me as they usually smell of bleach and animals. But the Vet was very attentive to my concerns and worked with me. This will be my new go to! Plus they are conveniently located a few minutes from home!

I initially was a little taken aback when Simon's (my cat) regular vet did not complete the Sr wellness exam, but I was able to adjust and my experience was very informative and pleasant. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars was the cost of services. If I lived with limited financial resources, I would not have ben able to get the labs done necessary to determine that Simon is in the early stages of kidney disease. My cat's health is important to me, however, the rising costs of pet care make continued vet visits limited. Vet cost may be passed onto the consumer, and not directly a result of a vet raising their fees. However, I think vets, in my opinion, need to be sensitive to the costs that owners invest in keeping their pets healthy.

We have been coming to Prince George’s Animal hospital for about seven years. My Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier love coming to see Dr. Khianey. They are always caring and do a great job of advice on long term preventative care as well. - Update - through the Pandemic Dr. Khianey has been amazing, our dogs are so well taken care of. We can't imagine taking our furry friends anywhere else. We have been coming here since 2016 and it’s always consistent.
