We came here for Jaxon’s first puppy visit. The facility was super clean. The staff were professional and outgoing. My baby was comfortable with no signs of stress. The wait time was minimal. Our doctor was professional and informative about puppy care. I don’t think we could have made a better choice. I highly recommend Hope Springs, Sajo.

This vet clinic was awesome! The staff was so friendly and nice, not just to myself but the other fur babies in there too! I took my two cats for a wellness visit and they did amazing with my cats! Jesse was the assistant assigned to us for the day and she was great, so patient with my shy cats! I was so surprised my cats didn’t show any aggression toward the assistant or the doctors! I highly recommend this location after experiencing a great visit myself!

I recently left another local vet for terrible bedside manner. I brought my old, anxious dog in to Hope Springs today for his exam, vaccinations, and some tests. Dr. Evans and the assistant were SOOOOO gentle and patient. He was still nervous, but it went very smoothly! The exam room is big enough that he didn't feel claustrophobic and the building itself is so large that we were able to wait in our own little corner. The woman at the front desk was super nice. It's an extra 10-15 minute drive, but it's worth it. I'll be bringing my other pets as well.

Our first visit was pretty good with the exception of waiting 45 minutes to be seen. We chose this office because it is close to home and came highly recommended by our neighbors. We have 2 cats and one yorkie and decided to do our first trip with the cats. They were treated very well and handled with great care, so much so that they both received two vaccines and were examined without any trouble. Needless to say, that is a first. The facility is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. Forcier was fantastic and we are returning again this week.

My husband and I had to get health certificates for our travel through Canada, this was the best most patient vet staff ever!! Our dogs get so nervous going to the vet but they took their time to make them feel comfortable. That is so rare to find nowadays. Highly highly recommend these guys! Wish we could keep going here!

We brought our new puppy home over New Years. She has a handicap little leg and Hope Springs has been so attentive with evaluating and guiding us. We appreciated that the Great Bridge vet quickly requested we move her to Sajo under the watchful eye of Dr. Dailey and his vast orthopedic knowledge. She positively adores him. She caught just a glance of him just passing by our exam room last visit and went wild with puppy anticipation. All the vet techs have been wonderful, office staff too. We are so incredibly thankful to have found such a wonderful, caring clinic to watch over our little one. *Update: Adding a picture of our growing girl, happily waiting for Dr. Dailey. She watches for him every visit :)

We decided to take a chance on the recommendation of a friend because I was taken advantage of at a different vet office and my doggo suffered because of it. The other vet looked at my dog ,who was a client there, and saw her belly and said she had fleas, even though she’s on preventative. We take her to the groomer a month later and they say that she had ringworm. And I questioned it because she looks exactly as she did when we took her to the vet previous. So I decided to take her to this new vet Hope Springs. Come to find out she doesn’t have fleas or ringworm. It’s allergies. So a simple examination of my pet thorough, honest, and reasonable services. A solution to my pets allergies , she’s not itching and she’s healing. I appreciated Dr. Hoffman‘s honesty and care of my Bella. Hope Springs at Sojo and Dr. Hoffman is now our veterinary care for our baby.

I have 3 dogs. They all (for the first time) love going to the vet. The technicians and vet are extremely nice and treat the dogs as their own. The price is reasonable for the service we receive. They are great with checking in and reminding us of vaccinations that are near expiring. All in all I would recommend this vet to anyone with fur babies.

First, the new building on Diamond Springs is a well-deserved revision of the old one. Lots of space so nervous pets and owners are not on top of each other while we wait, and that is a thoughtful addition. I am always treated well and so are my dogs. The staff knows how to assuage pet anxieties and make the visit as pleasant as possible. Hope Springs treated my Corgi who had cancer and two knee operations on the Chihuahua. All professional and superb service.

Our Pet Duck Missy Pickles is very comfortable going to her Avian Vet They have the most wonderful friendly staff. The customer service and professionalism is A +. Top notch. They follow up asking how things are going. Their care doesn’t end at the end of the appointment.

I can’t begin to express how grateful i am to Dr. Frye and the team at Hope Springs Sajo Farm. They made time to see my fur baby, even though they were slammed busy, and Dr. Frye was so thorough and knowledgeable, and she truly cares. They made my baby feel as comfortable as possible, and made several calls to get us in to an overnight facility for monitoring, and got us an appointment with a neurology specialist for ASAP. I recommend this practice 100%, and am so grateful to them for the care they provided to our girl.

This is the 2nd time I've had to bring a sick pet here because my previous vet had issues getting them seen in a reasonable time frame (and then wanting me to pay a deposit before they would schedule my appt when I've been going there for 17 years). Dr. DEWEY! She is the only vet that has really understood my anxious husky's needs despite all other attempts from previous veterinarias. The first time I was able to groom him at home while he napped with his new "chill protocol", I cried tears of joy! And to have him go into her office without being expected to be muzzled was a relief (especially to an already anxious dog). Bringing our newest addition to her was an easy decision. She gave our pup the best treatment, but what really sets Dr. DEWEY apart from other veterinary experiences is that she not only answered every single one of my questions as a new puppy owner, but she wrote everything down since I couldn't be at the appointment.

We did a lot of research as to the top of the line veterinary and hands down they are exactly that. We just got a boxer 12 weeks old and then adopted a 2yr old American Staffordshire Terrier. When we game in for our first visit the team was amazing. Very helpful with any questions we had and called/texted the next day to see how my boys were doing!

I was home for the holidays. Prior to my trip south, my dog experienced a health emergency (IMHA & ITP - anemia/internal bleeding/no platelets.) After she stabilized and was approved to travel, I checked with my mother’s vet (Hope Springs/Dr. Daily) to see if they could schedule appointments to bring my dog in every 2 weeks for blood work. They worked with me and were able to keep her on schedule for her blood work and provided support while dealing with a health issue I’d never experienced. I’m very thankful for their kindness and availability for us. Fortunately, She’d been seen during the Covid pandemic and was considered a patient while i was unable to travel back to the northeast for work.

Diva always feels well taken care of by the Vets at Hope Springs. Staff is friendly, patient and caring. Diva Is blind and deaf and is very anxious of the vet and other dogs due to being attacked in the past we usually get right in minimum waiting. Would highly recommend this vets office.

Hope Springs Sajo Farms has been our vet for 20+ years and I would not take any of my fur babies anywhere else! They have held our hands while helping 3 of our babies cross over to the rainbow bridge and have also rejoiced with us when saving their lives. I brought my pup in as a new patient. We were immediately greeted by the friendly and enthusiastic front desk staff. Dr. Stempien was kind, thorough, and professional. The facility is beautiful and the quality of care was wonderful. One of the most important things to me about picking a vet is choosing someone that can slow down enough to be thorough with my pet and not just do a check in and move on to the next client. A small but fun added bonus was that my dog loved being able to watch through the long window in the door of our room. I've already recommended to friends who are not satisfied with their vet because I'm excited to let Hope Springs care for my Zora for years to come!

I have not needed a Vet for my dogs for a while. I looked around and just decided to go back to the vet I had always used. The phone call to make an appointment was not what I expected. The person that answered was not the nicest and a little rude. When you have an animal that needs care and you are told your appointment is almost a full 2 weeks away, there will be some sighs and hesitation. There may even be some questions. That is no reason to tell the caller "when you figure it out, call back. bye." That is how it ended and she hung up. Hung up in the middle of the conversation. This post is even before my pup would have been seen. I have since had my pup looked at and even finished the medicine prescribed. The new vet to this point has been great.

Love this vet. They are extremely nice and truly do love your pet. My baby has gone to them over the last 4 years and I love the way the treated and handled her. Unfortunately my baby was a part of a tragic accident which broke my heart and I ended up having to euthanize her. One day while checking the mail I saw a card and to my surprise, all the workers came together and signed a card expressing their sincere condolences and included a picture of my baby. That was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do. To the team at Sajo Farm...Thank you. Bella was more than a pet to me. She was family. I bring my German Shepherd here and her son, my experience with the vets I've had so far have been very good, they're extremely knowledgeable, kind, and they're great with elective procedures. Curbside service can be difficult especially during covid so I appreciate the patience with my pup who is shy and nervous. As far as pricing goes it's the same here I've found as surrounding veterinarians, I loved my previous place but decided to stay here because of the customer service.

I had some bumps that came up over night. They itched and i scratched them so they bled. My mama made an appt and my daddy took me in to see Dr. Hoffman. Usually I'm super scared because of my bad experience and have to take my meds before i come but it went really well in there. Dr. Hoffman called and said the bumps on my chest are benign tumors. Histocytoma. I'm happy about that. I'm a boxer so I get lots of bumps. Thank you Hope Springs Vets and especially Dr. Hoffman for making me feel better. Leisel Loo

I had a great experience regarding care for my pet. Dr. Hoffman and Kelly were fantastic. The check in and check out process is a bit disorganized, probablybecauseof the new construction. There was no clear area for either and only 2 receptionist to check in/out 4 or 5 people that were standing around. I know before they tech or vet assistant would bring the file up to the receptionist to help get details for checkout, but this didn't seem to happen any more. Other than that, no issues!

I’ve had a great experience bringing my dogs there for the past 1.5 years. One of my rescue dogs has serious fear based aggression, the vets there are so accommodating to her in making sure she’s comfortable and not anxious. They’re knowledgeable and very welcoming for all questions I have. Their pricing is on the higher end (not insanely) but I’d rather pay the few extra bucks knowing my pets are being taken care of properly. I bring the one with behavioral issues to the Chesapeake location for grooming and it is a life saver. She never seems to mind to go and I don’t feel worried how she’ll act because I know they respect her boundaries and don’t force it like some other groomers do. I’m hoping this location will get groomers in there soon since it’s closer! All in all I suggest Hope Springs to everyone I know, highly recommended.

Hope Springs was a life saver with helping Carlton. It was so difficult trying to locate an emergency vet location that was not at capacity. After calling and re-calling locations, Hope Springs just had a cancellation and was able to squeeze me in the following morning. They completed a thorough exam, identifying the possible cause for his pain. They were able to put my mind at ease, and put Carlton on the right path to recovery. Thanks Hope Springs! Dr. LaDell is the best! My dog, Max, was due for his annual shots and he didn’t make a peep when they were administered to him! He is 10 years old and this is the first time he hasn’t made any kind of noise!! We will definitely be back to see Dr. LaDell. Highly recommend seeing her if possible.

Sajo Farms at Hope Springs is phenomenal! Their staff is very kind and caring. My standard poodle ended up having an unplanned C-section when her puppies were not arriving on their own. Dr. Dailey added her onto his surgery schedule and stayed late to make sure that her puppies were born safely! His surgical team added an extra couple of hours to their day as well. Dr. Ladell went home and came back after she was off work to help with the puppies arrival. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful vet clinic taking care of my poodles! I have been a client for over 10 years and have always received quality care.

Dr. LaDell is one of the nicest doctors at Hope Springs Vet @ Sajo. She shows concern and takes the time to listen to your pet issues..."thank you" Dr. LaDell!! Also, I would like to mention that I was sorry to hear that Shyann Boose had left Sajo...she always went out of her way to help...it was a pleasure to see her smiling face whenever I brought my doggie in to see the Doc...she will be missed!!

I really love this place. My dog was a show dog and I only get her the best. My wife used Hope Springs with her dog and loved them so we use them for our Polar. Some places freak out when a Bull Terrier walks in but not these guys. Everyone has to say hi to her and she loves it. I hate that we are going back home and have to find a new vet. I even though about bringing her back up but that wouldn't work if anything happens back home. If you want someone that really cares about your pet, you will find it here.

I am so thankful for Dr. Forcier, Dr. LaDell, and the staff at Hope Springs Sajo Farm. My dog became very sick and for a few days, we were unsure what was going on. He was admitted, treated, monitored, and eventually needed surgery. Dr. LaDell knew it was time to go in and look for an obstruction and found that my dog's intestine had flipped over itself causing a blockage. This surgery had a high risk of complications and they all watched him closely and kept me informed. Dr. LaDell and Dr. Forcier teamed up to treat and monitor Leo, which made me feel relieved and that he was getting excellent care. He had to transfer to a 24/7 facility for one night out of caution for his condition and recovery but they knew when to make this call and arranged everything. My dog has fully recovered. Everyone here at this vet was very caring, they work together well and provide quality care, and they fit us in when I know their schedules were packed. Thank you for taking care of my dog, Leo! Your jobs are not easy, and I appreciate all that you do!

I would actually put it at 3 1/2 stars. I started with Dr.Hoffman about 2 years ago and at that time she was working at the Pembroke location. Well, I had what was supposed to be a routine exam with vaccinations scheduled for my dog, it was at 1pm and I didn't get into a room til about 1:50pm. Almost an hour after my appointment time and what frustrated me the most was the lack of communication from the staff. When I first checked in, I was not told that the Dr was running late. After waiting about 25 minutes, I went up to the desk to ask how much longer. I was told that she had just finished with a patient and that there was 1 ahead of me. I was also told that I could reschedule if I wanted to, but my dog had gotten sick 24 hours before his appointment, so I decided to keep the appointment. I am a little disappointed, but my dog has a recheck appointment in 2 weeks and we will see how long the wait time is then.

Be sure to follow up if you have any work done for your pet here. I have had to call 4 or 5 times to follow up with lab results/prescription status (each time the items were ready when I called because I had give several days each time, but they hadn't gotten to calling me yet). It worried me that if I hadn't called then when would they have followed up on their own? Overall a good place! I'm sure they are busy helping the pets in front of them, but they do need better infrastructure that helps them with following up.

Very thorough care and the staff will be so loving to your pet. Maybe it's just me but from what I know about good customer relations, they probably make everyone feel like their pet is the staff favorite. They are so loving to your furry (or other variants of) friends. They provide expert knowledge and gentle care. My only gripe is that it's a bit pricey and they almost always ask for and charge for a follow up visit to recheck the same issue. That said, that is part of thorough care but perhaps the additional charges could be waived for follow up visits. Otherwise, we love the way Hope Springs loves our pup!

My 9 month old lab mix was attacked at a dog park. She was taken here because of their emergency services and they were fast, helpful, welcoming, and friendly. Her wounds were cleaned and dressed and her breathing was as stabilized as it could be. They were very reassuring that she would heal up fine. I took her in for a follow-up appointment a week later and they were just as friendly & fast, even though it was an evening appointment. Growing up with cats, I had a bit of knowledge coming in; however, it's been a few years since I've helped my mother with her now 10 year old cat. I found a stray kitten about a week ago, and I decided to come here for an exam to get her checked out since this is where my family prefers. To start, I really like their curbside service! You park, give them a call, and they come to you to retrieve your pet. I get to relax in my comfy car rather than a waiting room or something with other people. Although it may be preferred to be with your pet in the Exam room, they are clear about their procedures with your pet while they have them inside. They call you for any information while you are in your car. They explained everything very well and took their time talking. I'm sure they go over the same information for standard exams many times a day everyday, but they didn't rush through talking for anything! They were very willing to answer any and all questions and were patient with me even when I asked them to repeat things! To continue, I had many questions about my kitten's first immunizations and prices. Because I found her as a stray a week ago and wasn't prepared for the bills, they were able to print out a very detailed and organized list of shots. It stated what they are and their prices. I was able to book an appointment in 2 weeks easily. Any and all costs today were clear; there were no surprise fees.

The support staff (front desk and techs) has always been wonderful and they're very skilled, but I've had hit-or-miss experiences with the actual vets here. My dog has had her teeth cleaned at this location twice and the price cannot be beat, especially for how well they take care of my dog. I'm extremely frustrated, though, that none of the vets seem to believe how active my dog and I are; her already very short nails have been trimmed during each of her two visits despite specific requests to not do so. Both times they've trimmed her nails, they've bled for at least an hour during our walks. Additionally, the male vet we saw (I don't remember his name) was unable to explain how one of her medications worked. Most of the vets seem great, but there's a reason I found a new clinic. Edit: the veterinarian who performed her last dental cleaning called me personally to apologize for the mistakes that had been made regarding my dog's care. I very much appreciated this and if my pup needs a dental cleaning during one of their sales/specials, I'll probably come back here. The staff seems to love my dog and she's never scared to go to this office, which is extremely comforting!

My 15 year old puppy has had ear issues since she was a puppy and I couldn't get in to see her regular vet until this coming weekend. Well, she was just miserable and I began looking for a vet that has late hours in hopes of avoiding the emergency vet. These guys were very nice and understanding and made her an appointment for that night. They did this even after I made it clear that she was more than a handful when it came to something she 'knew' was going to be unpleasant. She may be 15, but she's fast and means business when she knows something bad is going to happen. They were fine with that and took care of her with little fuss. Their prices are very reasonable and I have nothing but good things to say about our visit from start to finish.

I brought Roxy, our rottweiler, here to take care of her required vaccinations, have blood work done, and conduct a thorough exam. When she was about 5 months old we found Roxy abandoned on the side of a desolate road, and has developed some issue when being handled by strangers. Over the years the process of taking her to the vet for routine visits has become more and more difficult due to her anxiety and past bad experiences. She would not let most staff near her without a struggle, which caused getting properly checked out and even having vaccines administered seemingly impossible. The entire staff at Hope Springs were patient and understanding of Roxy's issues with vet visits, and were able to get everything done with minimal struggle. Thank you so much to the entire staff, and you can count on Roxy and I coming back in the future.

I don't know who Skip Schmidt is but he/she must be bitter about something and seeking revenge, retribution, or looking to defame the Sajo Farm Veterinary Hospital name. I have not been to every animal hospital in the area, but of the clinics I have been to and the few I have heard about from other people, Sajo Farm is by far the best I have ever been to. The staff is very knowledgeable and their office always has a pleasant and inviting feel. Since Julie's departure, there has been a different vibe that seems to have positively affected the staff. I am not saying that this has anything to do with Julie's absence, in fact I had several very positive interactions with her. Even when Julie, the old "office manager", was working there I was treated with respect and professionalism. I trust the entire staff at Sajo Farm from the receptionists all the way up to the doctors. They are all very willing to help and I would, and do, recommend Sajo Farm to anyone who is looking for a vet. If you are looking for a great vet for your companion animals then you should try Sajo Farm, you will not be disappointed.

I've been going to this vet for about 16 years now. They are very conveniently located near my house and they have always been great at working in last minute appointments. You can tell the staff of vet techs genuinely love animals. The doctors are caring and knowledgeable as well. Dr. Ladell is my usual pick, but when she's not available, the others also provide excellent service. They offer boarding that's reasonably priced and I feel like my cat will be happy and safe when I'm away. Some of the other services are rather pricy.... They charge more for a simple spay or netuer than any other place I've been to, and I do get tired of the up sells for certain products. But all in all, I feel that this is the best vet in the area and they always provide the latest services and techniques.

The first time we brought one of our Chihuahuas to see Dr. Dailey at the Sajo Farm location (Hope Springs) was in 1991. We had been coming to the previous location of his practice (Haygood Rd) with our "fur-family" before that, and the wonderful care we received was worth following him to any location in Hampton Roads. Dr. Dailey has always been there for us when needed. His mannerisms are so naturally calm, friendly, and caring. It's evident that he loves his work. He is very knowledgeable and efficient, as well as considerate. He is honest, in that he doesn't suggest treatment or preventive measures that aren't necessary. Yesterday (7/11/2018), our most recent family member saw Dr. Dailey for the second time for routine care. "Yasmine" is her name. She's our recently adopted rescue, a 10 year old Pomeranian, weighing in at just a tad over 8 lbs., a small girl. As usual, we received excellent care services, and I left feeling confident that Yasmine's good health report was accurate. Dr. Dailey's assistant, Janeen, is awesome as well. Janeen has worked with the practice for 12 years and just seems to have that "magic" with the animals she approaches. With that said, I send the usual "Thank you so much for all you do" to Hope Springs Veterinary, especially to Dr. Dailey and Janeen!

I have been to three vet's in the Hampton roads area and no one was able to figure out what was wrong with my baby belle( beagle mix) I decided to try hope springs veterinary hospital... because do you happen to be right down the street from where I work. I walked in super nervous and hope that they would a provide the medication she needed so that she can be comfortable while we figure out what the bottom line issue with my dog belle. Dr. Hardy was very patient with me and listened to me as I expressed my concerns and my recent experiences with other Vets. She was very patient and told me what she suggested, made belle comfortable and made me feel a sense of relief. I can't remember her name ... but another young lady called a bunch of pharmacies to make sure that they were going to be able to fill my prescription. ALL of these ladies I came Into contact with from the time I made my appointment till the time I walked out of their office were absolutely amazing, show that they cared and above all were extremely patient. We have nothing but great things to say about Hope Springs! We first found them and Dr Dailey a few years ago when our Silky Terrier tore both his rear ACL's at the same time. We were devastated and having a hard time finding a vet able to repair 1 torn ACL, let alone willing to do both at the same time. A friend referred us to Dr Dailey. They were able to get Diesel in the day I called and ended up doing surgery on both legs the next day. They kept Diesel for the week taking extra care of him and making sure he was ok. They called me everyday with updates. Last year Diesel got loose and ended up getting attacked by a pit bull, he crawled back in our house and my son found him about an hour later when he got home from school. Diesel had lost a lot of blood and was barely moving. My son called Hope Springs and rushed him there. They were waiting in the parking lot as my son pulled in and ruched to Diesel's aid. They were able to sew up his wounds and once again took excellent care of him and he was able to come home a week later. His scars healed fine and he was back to himself in no time. If not for Dr Dailey and Dr LaDell, along with their staff I don't think Diesel would have made it. We would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Ladelle and staff are the best ever. Have a Yorkie with multiple medical issues and they always know what to do for her. New facility coming and they just added CT scanner and water treadmill for therapy. They have kept my baby walking and going strong.

I am a military veteran and cat lover so I have been owned by many cats in many different places around the country. I have come in contact with many vet practices and could rate these various practices from negative numbers to awesome... Sajo Farms has blown my mind with the best service, attentive care, and loving attitude toward their patients. The staff... from the front office to the vet tech and Dr. Dailey have a passion for the work they do. I highly recommend this practice to others in the area. I cannot speak of the other doctors at the practice, but Dr. Dailey is the owner and I cannot fathom him employing a doctor who would compromise his standard of care.

We have been going to SAJO for 10 years even though it's not as geographically convenient as other vets. Every time we've called around to treat foster/rescue dogs we've had (I always do a price check), SAJO had better prices and offered us a multi-pet discount. Great prices, caring staff, and wonderful grooming. We have only used their boarding facilities a few times, but our pets came home happy so we were happy.

So for starters let's remind everyone that you get what you pay for! I love Sajo (loved the old staff as well) but I love the feeling like my babies get treated like my son who is a year old. Our primary care is Doctor Dailey who I adore! I have a Bernese Mountain Dog (Kovou) and Sonny my Cane Corso. They treat him like I'd expect my son to be taken care of because they are my children. I can be hard to deal with because I do expect the best from you and no questions asked. (They haven't failed me yet) I call it my all in one place; they have grooming, boarding and surgery/vet care. I can always get in that day if I need to and they are open after I get off work which is hard to find and beyond helpful! My friend has also been having to travel to North Carolina for her pig and I suggested Sajo because they do everything and guess what? They do!!! I will eventually take my uromastyx in there just need to find time. Again I would suggest them (they also have great options in flea and tick medicine). Good luck!

Between the staff, the vets and the grooming this place couldn't be any better. I was using Banfield, but when a few emergencies arose with my fur babies and they couldn't get me in for two weeks I checked out hope springs. The very first appointment I had was an instant reminder as to why I hate big corporations. So we switched all our pets over to Hope within a few short weeks. I don't think we will ever go anywhere else.
