If I could give more stars I would! The waiting room was clean, check in was easy. Receptionist was kind. The doctor and vet techs were amazing, they took really good care of my bunny butterscotch. Patricia was knowledgeable and super nice, after the doctors main examination she walked me through the treatment plan for butterscotch step by step and answered any questions I had. She gave me care tips for his diet, his housing environment etc. It’s clear she loves what she does and it reflects in her work. I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else! Thanks so much to all the staff ♥️

This is the best veterinarian group in the world! The Doctors are caring and listen to your concerns and offer varied suggestions for treatment. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can tell they love animals. We have been coming here for over 20 years; they include 3 dogs and 3 cats over the years. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

It has been a little over a week since I came here and received the advice that my little girl should sleep peacefully. I originally came here to get a second opinion on my fur baby's health, and I received more information here than at the previous place I went. They informed me about what's to come at the stage she was and how soon it would occur. They displayed complete empathy when I broke down informing me of who I can call, since I wanted her to sleep peacefully from home where she was most comfortable. They even checked if any of their doctors could visit my home that day or the next. Because of them and their suggestion of calling Lap of Love, my family and I were introduced to an amazing vet doctor that explained the whole process, was truly kind, and felt with us. Thank you - because of you my baby was able to go to sleep without pain and do so in her own home, in her own bed.

They were professional in dealing with me when I was frustrated about the blood work and procedure steps which confused me. Dr. Dinito was patient with me and explained everything in detail and made me feel more informed and comfortable with mkving forward.Overall I'm very happy with the results with them removing a large mass from under my dogs eyelid. He looks like himself again and can be comfortable and I can tell he's happier. Thanks very much to the whole staff

The front desk people were amazing! They quickly and efficiently accommodated me and my dog. Our wait time was maybe 10 min before the vet came into the room. The vet came in and literally sat right down on the floor with my dog. She was thorough in going over his wounds and I felt she made a wise decision to treat my dog with another round of antibiotics. She listened to all my questions and concerns and patiently answered them. The spray cheese was a nice surprise to get my dog to cooperate. I'm very happy I chose them as our new vet.

We have taken all of our cats to Temple Terrace Animal Hospital almost exclusively since coming to Tampa 16 years ago. After moving across town and giving another place a try, we opted to return to TTAH because of the major difference in atmosphere, empathy and expertise. Our senior cats were also happy to go back to their longtime doctor, Dr. DeNitto. When it was time for Lucky to cross the rainbow bridge, she and one of her techs made a house call so he could be comfortable at home and have his furry friends there to comfort him. Our anxious boy, Teddy also appreciates the fear free, feline friendly methods used at Temple Terrace Animal Hospital. The doctors, techs and staff at TTAH have always shown a genuine interest in not only our fur babies' health, but also our understanding of their medical needs and our peace of mind. They always find a way to help us see a vet if there is an urgent need, whether it means dropping our baby off to stay for the day, helping us find an open appointment at a sister hospital or helping us determine if an emergency hopital visit is needed. It is obvious the health of our pets is the highest priority. We have had several elderly and medically complex cats over the years and would not go back to a veterinarian who was not part of the Tampa Bay Animal Hospital group.

We have used Temple Terrace Animal Hospital for the past 50 something years. I can not say enough how great the place and the staff are. It is well kept up, well staffed. They truly go beyond. If you are looking for a kennel occasionally this is the place to go. They take wonderful care of the animals and our dog loves going there.

I’ve been taking my 3 kitties to TTAH for several years now and always feel that they truly care about my fur babies. They are gentle and kind, even when my cats are causing mayhem. My oldest gets extremely anxious at the vet and they always go the extra mile to provide her care where she would be comfortable (that meant getting on their hands and knees on the floor). My youngest knocked everything off the counter and they still were very patient with her, while also providing tips for behavior modification at home. I trust TTAH with my fur babies and know they are being treated with excellent care!

I love this place, really I do. I don't think I have ever had a bad experience with them. Top notch service and care. But those experiences come at a cost. I find them to be quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. I only gave them three stars because as much as I like them I may need to find a new vet because I can't afford them.

Unfortunately a stray cat passed away in front of my driveway and I am not the type to look the other way. I called them and they were closing soon, but she said it would be fine to swing by anyways so that they could cremate the poor kitten. When I got their one of the ladies said they would be poured in a butterfly garden and thought that was very sweet as no matter how strong you are, seeing the life stripped out of something is tough and it brought me to tears in my car on the way there (with appreciate for the life we do have.) I have grown up with cats and dogs and have respect for everything they do, even though I’m not a current pet owner.

Temple Terrace Animal Hospital has been nothing but wonderful to us and our fur babies. We found them shorty after moving to the Tampa area, and made an appointment in a panic because our cat was very sick. They worked diligently and nursed her back to health. Dr. Rachel DeNitto is a great veterinarian. She is very thorough and sounds like she is great with my pups. (Couldn't be in there due to the virus). I don't have enough words to describe how wonderful this vet and these people are. I have a dog that's uncomfortable and aggressive at the vet. Dr. Bajc really takes her time with him to make him as comfortable as possible. It shows so much that she truly cares about my baby. I used to work at a vet so I was very picky about finding the right one for my boy. This is the 5th vet I tried in Tampa and I will NEVER go anywhere else!!! I also am a pet sitter & I refer all of my clients here!!! Seriously 10/10 everytime we go.

I took my cat in for a first time visit when I had some concerns over her excessively licking herself. It was so incredibly easy to get a convenient appointment and I was seen almost immediately when I arrived. This was absolutely amazing because my cat was so nervous and I didn't know how she'd do in a waiting room with other animals. Everyone on the staff was so caring and friendly. The vet took the time to gently look over my cat (I think this was the first time I have been to a vet that didn't grab her by the scruff to examine her). They pet her the entire time to calm her down and she did so much better than I expected because of this. The vet was honest in what she needed for future healthcare and the office visit was completely affordable. This facility also offers an urgent care option if you have a need to try to go in without an available appointment. I will absolutely be going here for all of my veterinary needs going forward. Exactly what you want for you and your pet.

The staff and doctor managed to squeeze me in at the end of the day and they really did not have to go out of their way to make sure my kitties were okay and that I had peace of mind. I brought my dogs here for shots and a checkup. All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The vet is kind and gentle and knowledgeable. They give you options and explain everything to you. They honestly care about the dogs comfort and well being. They have affordable payment plans for preventative care if you should need it. My dogs never crossed paths with other dogs during their individual visits which greatly decreased my anxiety. The office is clean. All around great visits and I plan to keep my pets here.

I called the vet and they suggested I bring the kitty in to have him scanned for a microchip. They took time out of their busy day to help scan the kitty for free. My dog got hit by a car about a month ago, unfortunately, but this hospital has helped us so much! Every single person working here is amazing. Dr Weiner and Dr Berns have been so kind and knowledgeable. All of the technicians, especially Travis and Ally, spent lots of time with Max and I felt comfortable leaving him with them. The physical therapist is now working with him and she is amazing as well. Max should be walking normal in no time!

We were new to temple Terrace and did not know any vets to bring an orphaned kitten left at our door … after doing some online research we decided to bring her into Temple Terrace Animal Hospital. And we chose the right place to care for our new kitten, Tip. Then after a year, while having Tip examined on annual we spotted some kittens there that were up for adoption, we fell in love with a male kitten but weren’t sure if we wanted another just yet. A week later, we stopped in and he was the last one left…. He wasn’t adopted because he has a cleft palate and would require care going forward. After hearing out the doc we decided that we wanted him and made the adoption. MAC has turned out to be a loving, spirited and amazing guy. He is our Special Needs Kitty, and despite the extra care required, he is loved every day by Tip and us. We are so happy to part of his life for however long he is with us. And thanks to the care provided by Temple Terrace Animal Hospital, we feel he will have a long and love filled life.

This place and the staff are simply incredible! We were vacationing in Tampa when our Frenchie suffered a bad nail break. We called first thing in the morning and they were able to schedule us in for an emergency appointment immediately. The staff were all so kind and answered all of our questions and concerns regarding the sedation procedure with such diligence. Quick 30 minute procedure and our little guy was awake and completely back to his happy self. I could tell the staff made him feel completely safe and comfortable. We are so beyond grateful for the amazing service provided and thankful to all the staff on shift today. Anyone who is able to use them as a primary care provider is incredibly lucky!

Update on my visit. Since my last review they have called me to apologize for the inconvenience and misunderstanding on my last attempt to have my dog's nails trimmed. Which I appreciated a lot. They rescheduled me for today. Upon my arrival, I was taken back into an exam room and the vet came in to see us. She was friendly and knowledgeable in helping my nervous dog calm down. They were able to trim her nails and do an ear exam even though my doggy was extremely nervous. So I'm an very thankful for their help and understanding. I would return here again and recommend them.

We brought our little miniature dachshund, Sugar, in to see Dr. Welborn. He had been highly recommended to us by a neighbor. Our little Sugar was listless and would whimper when you picked her up. Dr. Welborn and his staff treated us with kindness and respect. And by us, I mean my little Sugar and my husband and I. We did not have an appointment and there was no appointment open but they fit her into their schedule. We received a personal call from Dr. Welborn explaining to us what he believed was wrong with SUGAR. He prescribed a medication and told us how to watch her and to make sure she was not jumping everywhere. Dachshunds are known to have back problems because of their long little backs. Within two days of beginning the medicine she is like her old self and you can tell that she no longer hurts. We are watching her very carefully and have purchased ramps and steps for her to get up on furniture. It is such a relief to see her acting happy and not in pain. Dr. Welborn also called and explained all her blood work and was extremely personable and professional. From what I have read, he is one of only four board-certified veterinarians in the Tampa Bay area. That really shows in his knowledge and his compassion. I would highly highly recommend Temple Terrace, Animal Hospital. Also his entire staff that we interacted with were very compassionate and extremely friendly and you could tell that they love animals. I felt very confident in leaving my Sugar in their capable hands.

My boyfriend and I moved cities and still drive 2 hours away to continue taking our two dogs here because we love the staff (techs and doctors) and trust them to provide the best care for our animals. The doctors do their best to work with you towards finding affordable treatment options for your pets. They always take the time to thoroughly go over any questions I have, and I love that they call, text, and send emails to follow up and make sure that your pet is still doing okay. They truly care about the animals here, and their families. When my chihuahua had to undergo tooth removal surgery, I was so nervous and worried about him. They called me after his procedure to let me know that he was doing fine and that they were currently holding him wrapped up in a blanket, comforting him. I appreciated that so much. They called me several times after his surgery to make sure that he was still doing well and to ask if I had any questions regarding his care. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to everyone!

I went there for the first time on the 15th of July. And it was very nice and clean. The ladies at the front desk were always super helpful. At the appointment the total came up to $350 and i was budgeting money and they dropped it down to $100. They were super understanding. My cat is normally terrified at vets and he was definitely anxious. But he explored and kissed the vet, and he even let her hold him at one point. (Which he never does) I knew when I saw how open he was that this place would be my permanent vet. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

You absolutely want to make this vet your permanent vet care. Dr. Bajc actually cared to investigate the cause of my cat’s illness. Every few months, he’d suddenly fall critically ill—like in the matter of days he would just lose all of his weight. Vet after vet, I was told that his tests results weren’t making sense and that I should just euthanize him but he wasn’t giving up so how could I?! She was able to test him for a very rare disease in which it turns out he does have! I am eternally grateful for her work and that of her staff. You can trust that even when they’re busy, they will not let that get in the way of their care for your pet. Definitely recommend! Thank you Dr. Bajc!

Since moving to Florida my senior English Mastiff Dory has been having multiple Heath issues. Dr. Armstrong and her crew are the most loving and caring group of vets/vet techs I’ve ever encountered in 25+ years of having my own dogs. i really do not post reviews ever, but in this case i had to. my 1 1/2 year old bullypit bleu came in for an ear hematoma and the staff here took great care of my baby. updated us when he was entering and coming out of surgery. very caring, gentle, and efficient staff at this animal hospital. very expensive but you honestly get what you pay for. it was my first time dropping my son off, his first surgery and because of the staff everything went smooth. thank you all again!

My pets love coming to see their docs and techs at Temple Terrace Animal Hospital, and REALLY like boarding, too. The staff are friendly and helpful. The vets give you options and are understanding and supportive of your choices. They truly love animals. We moved to a new home but I make the slightly longer drive because my pets and I are comfortable with the services, and my pets live the attention. When we had to make a hard choice about our 19-year-old dog last year, they informed us of a hospice service that would come to our home. They don’t get money from the service but give their clients a chance to say goodbye at home in a peaceful, calm setting. It made all the difference. I highly recommend them!

When I rescued my chow chow a year ago he was up to date on all his shots. But when my boy started to itch I knew it was from a hot spot. Very common with chows due to their being doubled coated. Fortunately my car had blown it's engine. I panicked at first, as I wasn't sure what options I had regarding transportation to and from Vet. Goggled vets near me. Temple Terrace Animal Hospital was only 3 blocks from my house. Called them and was able to get an appointment that afternoon. When we got there, everyone was so friendly and helpful. They treated my dog with kindness and treated me with true compassion. I would recommend Temple Terrace Animal Hospital to everyone for all their pets needs.

Both my dog and cat go here and there's always a very short wait with appointment (compared to most vets where I wait 45 min just to get into an exam room), they offer refreshments, and they don't leave you waiting long to see the doctor. The techs and vets are extremely kind and friendly, and they will review their recommended procedures with you with costs included so there's complete transparency. You can deny any services you want and they don't judge you, they really seem to understand that money can be tight sometimes and they'll be upfront with what is and isn't critical to your pet's health to help you make decisions. I really love it here, and they always see to have availability if something comes up and you need to get in quick. I've recommend this practice to all of my friends with furry babies.

I have two dogs, Remi and Rixton. Rixton had an ear infection, so I booked my first appointment with Temple Terrace Animal Hospital after moving to Tampa from Upstate NY. First, the interior was clean and aesthetic. The front desk staff was very friendly and checked Rixton and I in promptly. I had a drop off appointment, and left Rixton with them for approximately 4-5 hours. They took great care of him. They called me throughout the day to go over results and asked if I wanted to proceed with them administering vaccinations. They also were up-front about the cost (transparency about costs is important to me). I now have an appointment coming up in two weeks to bring my other dog, Remi, for a checkup. Remi doesn't get along with other dogs, and they are able to work around that for me. I would highly recommend this practice because of the friendly and informative staff, as well as the clean facility. :)

Staff is great. They respond to all messages in a timely matter and treat your pets as their own. The pet resort is a great asset to the practice as well. If you must leave your pet overnight or for a few days, it's very reassuring that they are on location of their own veterinarian should there be any issues. And the photos and videos they send you while you are away keeps you from missing you fur baby a little less! So glad we found the best overall place for our puppy!

Long review, but I know I meticulously search reviews. I hope this helps someone! I recently moved back to Florida and needed a new veterinarian. My previous veterinarian (who I worked with at a humane society) was amazing! Unfortunately, my eldest dog experienced traumatic experiences at two separate vet offices before finding her. Those bad experiences were filled with forced restraint, telling me he will turn on me one day, and in one instance pinning him to a wall. Also, brushing me off and telling me “we know what we are doing”, and me having no experience, at the time, I put my trust in their “techniques”. After that he was done and if we stepped foot in a vet office he would start panicking. So my previous vet and I worked on his recovery from those bad experiences. After working in rescue I have learned a lot and know there is a gentler way of handling, that avoids trauma. Back in Florida I tried a vet office with my two other dogs, who are very indifferent at the vet. The experience was not great. My one dog, who has had no problems at a vet office in 8 years (his entire life), had a bad time. I was super disheartened and frustrated. I immediately cancelled the appointment I made for my nervous dog. Back at square one... and I really needed to get him in for teeth issues. He’s a senior now and I didn’t want to trust just anyone with him. I was about to drive across several states just to bring him to my old vet (not joking). Nothing really bothers me, and I’m never very particular, but with him my anxiety goes crazy. He’s my best friend and we have been through so much together. I didn’t want him to be traumatized at a vet AGAIN. A friend suggested I call their vet office, Temple Terrace Animal Hospital. Holly took my call and was AMAZING! She took the time to answer all my questions, she didn’t brush me off (which kept happening calling other places), and you could tell she really cared. They offered a Fear Free visit first so he could have a happy interaction before his actual vet appointment. Also, they let me stay with him (masks on) to help calm both our nerves. Jo Mar led our Fear Free visit and she was AMAZING too!! My dog was so calm and really enjoyed himself... mind blown! A couple other girls joined in the showering of love and treats (I didn’t catch their names, sorry) and were so kind too! They asked me about his triggers and took notes. I was so relieved to just be heard and not brushed off like I didn’t know my dog best. My initial anxiety was at a 10, quickly went to a 1. For his vet appointment (which required anesthesia, dental work, and up to dates) we saw Dr. DeNitto. She was AMAZING! She let it just be me and her in the room to help him feel relaxed, and made the overall experience so positive and stress free. No force, no pinning, no fighting. Every animal is different and they took into account what was best for him. She explained everything, followed up, and just overall cared. I know working in the animal field can be tough and thankless. You have good days and bad days. However, I just wanted to take this time to extend my deepest thanks. Kindness goes a long way and that kindness truly made a difference in my best friend and mines experience. I have to drive about 45-50 minutes to get there but it’s well worth the drive! Thank you Dr. DeNitto, Holly, Jo Mar, and everyone else there (everyone I encountered was so nice).

I called to fit my dog in as an unscheduled visit, since my usual vet was rude and couldn't accommodate our dog. Everyone I spoke with was very professional and courteous. My dog was seen shortly after I dropped him off and I received a call from the vet who saw him. When I picked him up, he was already feeling better! I also received a detailed evaluation form along with the call from the vet. Everything went well from first phone call to pick up. I like Temple Terrace Animal Hospital and will get his annual physical done there when I bring him in for a follow-up appointment. I can't think of any suggestions for improvement over the service received.

I decided to come here after a really bad experience at another animal hospital in the area. Today was my puppy’s first visit and I could not be any happier. The vet (Madison Bajc) greeted me from the phone (due to COVID) by complimenting my baby and his cuteness, which made me so happy. Then she explained thoroughly what she found during my pup’s examination and what plan of care to follow. She went over the lifestyle vaccines, and explained the heartworm & fleas prevention medication. We talked a good 15 minutes as she was super thorough and answered all and any questions I had . When they brought me back my puppy, they also brought me a blue bag full of information sheets that explained everything we had just talked about. They also printed out estimate sheets for future procedures that might be necessary. To top it all off, they gave me a 2lb bag of the food they recommend which I thought was an extremely nice gesture. They also sent me an email that went over each part of my pups exam and her findings. At the end of this email there was a personalized note by the vet that made me feel extremely special. This is my first puppy and they went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this place and I know my dog is now in great hands! The ladies at the front desk are also super nice and helpful. I appreciate everyone here.

Its hard to find a good and caring vet these days, you are not going to find Dr. Pol every where you go but this place very close. The office staff was kind and friendly and pleasing to deal with. Some places that I have been to the office staff seams that they didn't want to be at there office, but not here. Everyone seam to be in a happy mood. That a big plus, because this is your first line impression on how the office in a whole likes being there. As for my vet Mrs. Armstrong, was great. She took the time to ask if I had any concerns about my pet and really to the time to listen about my concerns, and had answers for me . As for my Vet Tec, sorry I don't remember her name very kind and gentle with my pet . Had to draw blood for a blood test and showed kindness to my pet. I could not have found a better place to take my pet. My only concern is that it is a little pricey, but I think that you are to find it pricy no matter where you go. I brought my new puppy in for his first puppy check up and all of the staff and Drs are so sweet and knowledgeable. They made me feel really lucky to be there and my puppy felt really comfy in the environment. While waiting in the back room for the techs and vet they had some mellow music playing and my puppy just fell asleep in my arms very relaxed. The techs we're gentle and it was obvious they were all very much animal lovers. I brought my puppy here because my moms dog is also a a patient here and they've always been so willing to work with my mom and her senior dog who visits often. At end of business day on Monday, March 23, 2020, I made an appointment at the Temple Terrace Animal Clinic for our very sick, 13-year-old cat. We were new in town and, unexpectedly, our cat stopped eating, and cried almost non-stop -- in obvious distress. We felt very grateful to be able to get an appointment for the very next day with a Dr. Lacie Armstrong. Dr. Armstrong was absolutely wonderful with our beloved fur baby, handling her with great calmness, gentleness and competence. A battery of various tests were presented as diagnostic options, complete with detailed printouts of price estmates, which we appreciated. We decided to begin with a first round of blood sample tests. Fortunately for our budget, our cat's problem -- final stages of kidney disease, no cure -- showed up in the first round of testing. Dr. Armstrong very professionally presented our options (which were two temporary, expensive and very limited "patches", OR to have the cat put down). We decided to sleep on this decision, then called the next morning to have the cat put down, much to our sorrow. The next day we were ushered into a peaceful, private, tastefully decorated, candle lit room where we could say our last goodbyes to our precious cat. Then, when we were ready, Dr. Armstrong came in and put the cat to sleep by two injections, all while we were still cradling her. All the staff at this clinic were very friendly, helpful and efficient, and excellent about giving us printouts of financial estimates before moving ahead with any work. Dr. Armstrong was particularly exceptional, very empathetic, and a genuinely caring person. We would recommend her and the "Temple Terrace Animal Clinic" to anyone!

Dr. Bajk is the most caring vet. She goes way beyond patient exams and diagnosing. She does her research for the best treatment to fit the problem. She literally finds the time to call or text you days later to check on their well being also. You sure don't find that these days where most dispense 'their" preferred antibiotic, incorrectly diagnose and send you out the door with empty pockets.

Went there for the first time today to take my newly adopted dog because I needed written confirmation stating that she is not aggressive nor an "aggressive breed". I got so much more than what I expected! The staff there is great! They paid her a great deal of attention and she loved every bit of it! She's the sweetest dog I've ever known, and they helped me prove that to my apartment complex. They gave me estimates of everything before performing anything on her as well, which was very helpful as I'm low on cash. I would definitely recommend them to everyone in the area and tell people to go out of their way to come here!

Everyone here is super nice and respectful! They took care of my cat in record time even though I showed up ten minutes early for my appointment. They check your animal and give you a list of recommended medications and flea prevention that you are not obligated to accept. They even provide a free exam for first time patients if you download the coupon from their website, which saved me $60! Over all the place was clean and nice to be in and I would recommend anyone to go here if you want nice Vets to take care of your animals.

I've been going to Temple Terrace for three years now. They have taken phenomenal care of my three animals. They go out of the way to make both you and your animals comfortable with things like cat-specific rooms and by offering pet parents refreshments while they wait. They are also very understanding regarding cost and often are able to suggest low-costs alternatives--something that's been very important to me as the owner of an 18 year old cat. They techs and the front desk people always make a big deal out of seeing me and my pets and it really shows that they care. The best vet I've ever been to by far. I'm going to miss them so much when I move away in a few days.

I had to make a last minute appointment for my cat when I realized she was showing signs of an eye infection. The hospital was very kind about squeezing her in. It took no time at all to get into a very clean exam room, and I was kindly offered a beverage while I waited. The medical staff were all very sweet to my cat, and took the time to explain every thing they needed to do for her. They each allowed her time to warm up to them before they began to examine. I highly recommend this facility, and I am grateful for the wonderful service they provided to my kitten and me.

I decided to come here because the Harris Vet wasn't opened on the weekends, so that's something i have to say that if you aren't available on the weekdays that this vet is opened on the weekends! We adopted a new puppy during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we have never actually been inside the office, only phone communications and pet pick up and drop off in the parking lot. If your looking for a vet, come here!!!!! I had to leave my dogs vet because they wouldn't give him his shots due to his aggression. The thing that was horrible was they didn't even try. I got to this place and it was the best decision!! They even cleared the lobby for him, and were able to give him his shots without sedating him! They worked with him and even gave me the option to go back before the next visit so he can get use to the vet! The vet talked to him and was so sweet! They made me and my dog feel amazing. I always have a pleasant experience when I visit Temple Terrace Animal Hospital or any of there other locations. The veterinarians and staff are highly knowledgeable and always so nice. They do their job of giving you the best recommendation for your pet and situation. The entire staff is trained in educating pet owners on the importance of preventive care so that your pet stays as healthy as possible. I read some reviews by pet owners upset about the recommendations made because it was costly but I disagree. It ends up more costly when your pet is not properly cared for or even worse, the loss of life. On our most recent visit my french bulldog saw Dr Madill and she was nothing short of extraordinary. She was very thorough, very confident in her diagnosis and recommendations and very pleasant. I loved that she made it a point to address all of my concerns that I had and any issues my dog had. I prefer an honest vet who does not hesitate to offer care. I’m grateful Dr Madill was able to address all of my dogs issues in one visit. I would of been upset if she had not of noticed something and a week or two later I had to return and pay another exam fee. I am confident this animal hospital saved me money in the long run. I am also very grateful that years ago they recommended pet insurance, I’ve had it ever since and I have saved literally thousands of dollars since my pet ended up with so many issues. Thank you Dr Madill and the entire staff for the great care and all of your kindness.

I had an emergency and previously visited North Bay Animal Hospital a sister animal hospital to this location. I loved that location but Temple Terrace animal hospital is significantly closer to my house. I scheduled Bella’s follow up visit with Temple Terrace. I had received excellent care at North Bay and was concerned that the care wouldn’t be as good at this location. I am happy to say that was not the case. Bella received excellent care at Temple Terrace Animal Hospital. They were able to see all her information from North Bay and take care of all her follow ups at this location. Everyone was very friendly and everyone was very knowledgeable. We saw Dr. Godzisz. She was great with Bella. Bella normally does not like her ears touches but she didn’t get Dr. Godzisz any issues. Also - I just find it adorable that they have backdrops set up so you can take your pets picture!

I have been taking my dog here since August 2018. I like how the animal hospital has an attached daycare/boarding facility because my pet is in the best place possible if she got sick while I'm away. We love Dr. Madill and how she/TTAH don't push anything on us and discuss treatment options at different price points. They price match medications which isn't something I've come across much at other animal hospitals, and I love how accessible they are through email or their app, not just the phone.

I was very impressed with how professional things were handled and was at ease when they came to pick up our baby boy for his first appointment ever. Very patient and skilled veterinarian practice. I have three giant breed dogs, which can be overwhelming for some vets. One boy is overcoming panic at vet visits after a bad experience. The techs and vets are actively helping with fear free visits and gentleness that my strong, 140# just turned 3 year old needs. He has come a LONG way, and has many friends at the vet's now. His visits are so much easier because of their dedication, and I can't thank them enough. He's not tackled, sedated, muzzled and feared like at the vet visit that started his anxiousness. He is welcomed - happily called by name and offered lovings and treats for good behavior which he shows as he recognizes each friend from reception to techs to vets - and they all are! Each person involved smiling, talking to him and allowing him to relax and greet them politely. It takes extra skills, efforts and a special love for pets to do that, and it means a great deal to me and to my dog. And I know everyone - my dog included - is safer for their dedication. My other two? They are so excited to get in and say hi to everyone! Exams are thoroughly done, but my boys act like it's one of their favorite petting sessions from techs to vets! Shots are "quick and easy", handling gentle and safe... my boys love this Temple Terrace Animal team for so many reasons. And, I also have other pets who visit, including "exotics" like a Quaker parrot & reptiles. I trust my pets are well cared for each time they visit. There is a side room to help minimize anxiety some cats, birds and reptiles may experience, so they are not hearing a dog bark in the next room. They also do cat rescue and boarding on site. If you are looking for a great "family" vet, I can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend Temple Terrace Animal.

I chose this place because its 5 minutes from my house and they had a special where they give you $50 off your first visit. The staff was kind, friendly, sincere, and knowledgable. Dr. Haworth was kind, honest, and reasonable in his approach and gave me a lot of really good information. I see a lot of reviews complaining about extra services and costs, but I had zero issues with any of that. To the contrary, they actually suggested we try cheaper and less invasive options for treating some of the issues and they didn't try to sell me anything extra. Would definitely recommend to others!

We are so happy with the great care and attention we get at this clinic, having happened across it by nessessity and now we won't go anywhere else! My daughter found a stray, extremely emaciated and no collar. I called the vet we use for our other dog and they were closing for the day (at 2pm) so I called the only other vet in town, TTAH. They were able to see her in an hour. We saw Dr Madill who is, along with all of the techs and front office staff, the most loving and gentle person. She loved on our little stray so she wasn't scared. She scanned for a chip and there was none. She wanted to keep her overnight since she was in a fragile state, and she called us overnight and again first thing with updates. They were able to give her some fluids and through trial and error, finally got her to eat some soft food. Fast forward 4 years and we have the happiest, healthiest, and most grateful dog, and she and Dr Madill still have the greatest affection for each other. Dr Madill even calls to check up on her if she has been in for an issue (stubborn ear infection) and if she sees me stopping in to pick up meds she always asks how she is doing. A doctor who cares enough to put a face she only sees twice a year together with the name of the dog is very special. TTAH costs a little more than our other vet did, but it is well worth the amazing personable care, concern and love.

Like most vets this one wants to get money for a ‘vet check’.The lie about ‘we need to make sure they can handle the stress’ is sad. I found a wonderful place called Just4Birds. It is NOT a vet but handle all grooming. Better yet they do not charge! They accept donations (I gave $20). They have 2 locations. One in Valrico and the other I believe is in Lutz. If all you need is grooming, skip being screwed.

This is a full-service veterinary hospital. They have an x-ray machine, surgery center, kennel, pharmacy, and physical therapist on-site. They can also do an EKG (although you have to schedule it because the person who does it is only available on certain days), and they'll even refer you to an animal acupuncturist at one of their other clinics. Basically, anything your pet needs, they've got you covered: either they have it, or they can refer you to one of their other nearby offices that does. All of the veterinarians I've seen there over the years have been really kind, with excellent bedside manner and a willingness to explain everything and even discuss the costs of the various options. They also offer free drinks and snacks in the lobby, which makes the wait much nicer. Of course, all of this doesn't come at a bargain rate, but they DO offer a USF discount, which makes the prices more reasonable. If you're obsessed with getting the cheapest price, go elsewhere. But if you want the best VALUE (or just care about the quality of your pet's care more than the price), this is the place for you!

I was very impressed with this hospital. Every time one of my many dogs needs to see a vet, they always get me in that day, unlike other hospitals that sometimes don't have an opening for weeks! They always try to cut fees by not recommending unnecessary procedures, yet they are very thorough with exams. The one minus is that the procedures they do recommend are pretty pricey.

Our regular vet was closed for a week when my dog got a hematoma on her ear so I googled and read some reviews that lead me here. I have to say after our experience we are switching vets now. Dr. Madill is the best. See I have a deaf boxer that can be quite rambunctious at times. Her and her staff handled my baby with such love and care. It amazed me how compassionate they were with her considering she was all over the place. After they drained it Dr. Madill , not a staff member, came in to explain everything to me and she made sure I understood exactly how to treat her sutures and her ears along with how to give her medicine. Her actions and the action of her staff are genuinely heartfelt.

For over 6 months I fought to find a vet (I saw 5 before temple terrace) that would take my cat's illness and need for a legitimate diagnosis seriously. He had been experiencing elevated liver enzymes and was literally yellow. Everyone else just wrote it off as run-of-the-mill liver disease and IMO threw medicine at it aimlessly, but in my gut I knew it wasn't the case. Dr. Armstrong took the time to walk me through everything and set an appointment for Dr Ludlow to do an ultrasound, aspiration and culture. It ended up being pancreatitis and an infected gallbladder! He is expected to make a full recovery, he's been on antibiotics for a week and is doing fantastic! She saved his life. Also the team is quick efficient and manages to maintain a friendly atmosphere through covid precautions and curbside service.

The only reason they did not get 5 starts is they are a bit pricey. I met with multiple vets when I found out one of my dogs needed CCL repair who either offered only TTA or TPLO. I had a bad experience with TPLO on a past dog and wanted to see if a less aggressive surgery would be possible considering she's only 3yo and 35lbs. They found that she was a good candidate for Tightrope, and 7 weeks later she's doing great. A couple weeks ago I took my dog back to my regular vet to treat hives she developed, my other vet completely missed one of the issues, so after a week of her not looking any better I had Temple Terrace take a look at her and they were able to correctly diagnose the problem and within a day she looked and felt a ton better. I highly reccomend this vet, everyone is super friendly, and the Dr's are very competent!

Dr. DeNitto was extremely courteous as well as respectful of my personal preferences. Although the Dr. suggested a medical diet as well as some vaccines (as vets have previously) unrelated to my appointment, she genuinely regarded my opinion and was not pushy for a sale. When I discussed my preference for holistic approaches, Dr. DeNitto readily provided me with the necessary literature and referrals to reputable DVM nutritionists as well as some off hand suggestions for oils and other home remedies that could add to my pets relief. Overall, the staff was very kind and readily answered my many questions. Seeing them dote over my fur baby and overhearing the kind things they said to him really made the overall ordeal that much easier to handle.

Dr. Denitto is wonderful. Back in December my dog had a dental procedure done at a different veterinarian's office. After the procedure, she began having issues eating which got progressively worse over the course of two weeks to the point she could only eat watered down wet food. After getting nowhere with the vet my dog was seeing at the time, I decided to get a second opinion at Temple Terrace Animal Hospital. Right away, Dr. Denitto said the symptoms sound like an esophageal stricture. She wasted no time and got me in touch with a specialist so we could get my dog back to eating normal again. I recently had to euthanize one of my cats that was with me all through college and after. The team/technicians were very professional and acted promptly to give her an exam despite being very busy that day already. The only thing that still bugs me and why I give 4 stars is when kitty was taken by a young man to have the catheter placed for the euthanasia medicine she clawed into my shirt like "dont let me go", as any cat would at a vet/strange place from home. When he brought her back he had clipped her front nails so "she wouldn't claw daddy anymore". I didnt ask for that to be done. She was about to be euthanized and had never had that done before; it was superfluous and almost traumatic to do so in my opinion. The clay pawprint I received from the cremation service was very brittle and broke once I got home (not cured clay, almost like a home hobby version) and yep, It has deep nail impressions as well as a rear pad/claw mark like a dog. So pretty sure it wasn't a paw print of my cat or even any cat. I was wondering how they would make the pawprint after freezing them post-mortem anyway. The cremation service probably has generic molds they use and used a dog on accident. I just threw it away. The vet that euthanized my cat with me was great and very sympathetic, wish I had caught her name. The sympathy card was a surprise and very nice; all around staff are great folks. Just tell that kid not to dont do things to people's animals they dont want done, especially in a time of grief. I mainly came to review because when it pops in my head it still bugs me...

We normally take our kitten, Charlie, to the nearby New Tampa Animal Hospital-just 5 minutes away, but we were referred to the Temple Terrace branch which uses laser surgery for de-clawing. We had him neutered as well. Charlie is doing extremely well post- surgery. He's even frisky at times; eating well and is very, very glad to be home. However, the e-collar does hamper his ability to eat out of a bowl. It is necessary to put his food on a flat plate and place it directly on the floor and even then, it is a challenge for him as the e-collar manages to push as much food off the plate as he can eat. We were given pain medication to administer once Charlie was home. The container advised three tablets were inside, yet there was just one. We are not sure if Charlie received the first two pills during his stay at TTAH, or if somehow only one pain pill made it into the box to begin with. In any event, the entire staff was knowledgeable; very courteous and efficient and professional in their bearing and appearance. Our wait time for both dropping off and picking up Charlie was short. The office and exam rooms were clean, pleasant and filled with interesting and informative posters and literature.

I usually take Patton to Banfield (the McDonald's of vets) for usual check-ups and whatnot since their prices are so cheap, but he recently started having seizures and they had the gall to tell me "you can bring him in on Thursday" (this was a Monday) because their appointment book was full. In a pinch, I called TTAH, and they said "come immediately, rolled a gurney out into the parking lot, helped me load him up, examined him, prescribed some medications that were cheaper than what I pay for a cold and he hasn't had a problem since. So if you're just looking for someone to give your dog cheap shots and a few free x-rays a year, go to Banfield - anything more serious, this is the place to go.

I have been a believer in Temple Terrace Animal for over 40 years and can think of NO place I would rather have care for my pets.
