Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating. I saw Dr Lisa McNeil and my grumpy cat seemed to really like her and the assistant. I really like how she was with my kitty. Go mobile would be the only thing you guys could do to improve. Service here is already A++++++!!!! The front office is great, the techs are awesome and Dr. Moore is amazing! He makes my nervous girl feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t trust my animals to anyone else. My family has trusted their pets to this office for 40 years.

amazing customer service and amazing people. my pet and i felt welcomed from being over the phone to when we walked through the door. everyone loved my dog and we were treated with the kindness that was shown to us both. the vet and the nurse were all around wonderful and got my dog to feel better. Dr. Moore and the entire staff is amazing. I brought my very senior dog here, now 14, about 2 years ago as she was miserable and most likely on a downward spiral due to acid reflux. I had brought this issue up to other vets before and they provided no solution and told me she did not have long to live. After bringing her in they recommended giving her Omeprazole (Generic Prilosec) and low and behold the problem was solved and she was like a new dog. Every one I meet is shocked when I tell them she is 14 as she does not act or look like it! I believe with all my heart they have extended and saved my dogs life with such a simple thing. You can tell Dr. Moore is a true animal lover. Also, he really takes his time to discuss issues and possible solutions. They continue to be awesome and I will always be a loyal customer due to this. The entire staff is so great at helping us out when our puppy is sick. We had some complicating factors last week with our own health, and they made it so easy for us! I decided to visit this vet after seeing all of the great reviews, and I’m very glad I did. My girl Sammy is 11 years old and I’ve been to several vets with her, all of which were ok but lacked a lot of compassion or empathy. At Dale Mabry animal hospital, I have yet to meet a member of their team that isn’t empathetic and kind. Dr. Moore recently did surgery on Sammy, he called me before and after surgery to keep me informed and I was very impressed by how patient he was with my questions and I could tell he really cared about my girl. My dog is everything to me so finding a vet that genuinely cares and doesn’t try to exploit my concern is a great relief. I really can’t say enough positive things about them, I’ll be sure to recommend them to all of my family and friends.

The team here is wonderful, friendly and professional. I’ve been bringing my senior dog here for over a year and not only are they patient, tolerant and gentle with him, Dr. Moore and the team are completely transparent and realistic about his current needs and future costs to expect based on my dog’s heart condition. Had my very old chihuahua's dental done here, who needed multiple (multiple!) extractions. They did an excellent job. I was so worried, but the procedure was quick (kept him under anesthesia for as little time as possible), and he was eating normally within just a few days. They addressed all my questions, and even saw us on short notice when I had some concerns after the procedure. They also have a great system that allows you to communicate with the Dr. via text! I was able to send records over, pictures of existing medications, etc. Dr. Moore was excellent. I will be bringing my dogs here from now on

Look no further if you love your pets! The doctors and staff at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital are absolutely the best at what they do, and they do it with kindness and honesty. They love our pet's as much as we do (maybe more). Recently I had to put my pet down due to his age, Dr. Moore sat on the floor with me and Shaggy and was so patient and kind. Shaggy drifted off peacefully. Pricing is very reasonable, and team is honest with what is really needed and can help. My pet's have been going here for treatment and boarding for the last 3 years and the experience has been wonderful. Highly Recommend!

Been going here for 20+yrs. The staff is awesome. For our recent fur babies, Barney & Betty, Betty has some abuse issues from her past. The staff worked patiently with her and now she growls but doesn't bite them. We board them when we go out of town without any worries. Every time we go there, it is clean and smells nice. We are greeted with smiles and personal salutations. One more note, when "end of life" came for past babies, We were send a sympathy card signed by all the staff. We really feel like family.

With a heavy heart, it has taken me a while to be able to write this review. Dale Mabry Animal Hospital is both professional yet caring and has provided all of Goldie's veterinary services for over 10 years. Dr. Leavengood cared for Goldie since she was 8 weeks old. At 4 months, she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and ended up having a TPO on her hips. Even though he did not perform any of the surgeries, he spent time reviewing her x-rays and taking me through the process easing my concerns. He has been her vet ever since providing the utmost of care. Always listening, sometimes telling me what I don’t want to hear, but always a caring, supportive professional. A special thanks to Dr. Moore and Becky that drove Goldie to Blue Pearl, monitoring her vitals and holding her hand every minute of the ride. I cannot thank you enough. It is not that often in today's fast paced world that you can find this type of service. Dr. Moore's tenderness and compassion toward Goldie and support for me during this trying time was amazing! In the end, we said goodbye to Goldie, but know that she was loved. The entire staff at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital is AMAZING!

My cat has been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. Dr. Leavengood has been so helpful and full of knowledge through out the entire process. He is wonderful with his patients and explains in detail, as well as answers all of your questions with patience. He has wonderful bed side manner and the rest of the staff are very friendly. We found Dale Mabry Animal Hospital via Google search and decided to book an appointment for our pup Angel based on the positive reviews. We were SO pleased with the decision and have found a new vet for our pet. Dr. Moore was super attentive and really took the time to listen to our concerns, as this was a first time appointment. I recently moved back to South Tampa after being gone for 7 years. My two Chihuahuas Benny and Chico used to see Dr. Moore when we lived here before and I remembered how sweet he was with them. I was very excited to return to Dr. Moore as soon as we got here. Again, I was not disappointed!!!! Even though my two little guys are little old men now and my Chico has so many health issues...Dr. Moore was very attentive to my concerns about vaccines for my sick one and we came to an agreement on the best course of care for each dog. Rather than feeling like treatment was being forced upon me, I felt like Dr. Moore took my concerns into consideration and that "we" did what was best for Benny and Chico. That is how every pet owner wants to feel....involved! Patient centered care at its finest. Thank you Dr. Moore for being patient, kind and considerate. The tech that took care of shadow was very patient with him which I found comforting. Additionally, Dr. Johnson found the issue and started treating it immediately, then went out of her way to follow up with me to make sure the treatment for shadow was starting to work a couple days after he started it. There is nothing that would have made my experience better, I am very happy with the service Dr. Johnson and her team provided.

My dogs come here for their annual and 6-month shots as well as for (minor) emergencies. Saturday's their busiest day because of walk-ins but I've never experienced a very long wait time if I come on Saturday without an appointment. Reception staff is always very friendly during the wait. The techs are amazing. I always see "first available" vet, and I've never been disappointed. I really like that the staff seems to enjoy being at work. They are all friendly to each other, laugh and have a good time while being really efficient and thorough with their patients. I think this helps make my dogs more comfortable because the atmosphere isn't stuffy. I appreciate that they recognize my dogs even though I've only been there a handful of times. It seems like they keep a lot of staff and have a lot of facility room which helps them keep patients moving. I haven't shopped around for vets so I don't know prices, but they seem a little higher than my old vet in Ocala. I'm very happy about the quality of care though, so Coop and Daisy will keep coming.

I moved here a year ago, just before the pandemic. I have a retired racing greyhound and needed someone to care for him. I called a few places. I chose this one because of how quick they responded. I am so happy I did. They are awesome with Jett and with me! they worry about him almost as much as I do. Makes me feel safe with him in their care! I highly recommend the staff and the doctors! The doctors are just awesome and talk like normal people and not like they know more than you. Amazing place!

Dr Moore is awesome!! He has got to be one of the most compassionate people I think I have ever met. He and his team of the greatest staff who seem to all work as a family and they are not even related treated me and my family as if we were the most important individuals there. My animals are all doing wonderful thanks to the Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. Honestly I have nothing bad to say their facility was clean, staff was friendly and caring, but most of all they made it possible for me financially a single mother on disability to be able to provide care to my dog when she so sick, because of all them and their love and devotion to animals my dog Sasha is doing great. I just got my dog, Hansel from the Humane Society and as a first time fur mom (besides family dogs) I was so worried. This was my first time going to any vet and I’ve heard plenty of horror stories before about service and costs. This was NOTHING like that. It was superb. They were so efficient and good with communication and Dr. Leavengood (who has the same name as my dog, so funny!) was so informative and the techs were so gentle with Hansel. I have adopted two pets from a place that I feel that he care they provide for the animals is minimal and careless. I have taken both pets to Dale Mabry Animal hospital and was amazed at how well they treated both my animals as well as myself. When I brought my dog, they played with him, they gave him the attention he needed and also answered all my questions. When I adopted my kitty, they did the exact same thing. They listened, they took in my concerns, and they were able to properly treat my kitten. I expected a high vet bill, but was happy to find out that they are also affordable. I recently brought my girl Lulu to your facility. I’m sure you see many folks bring in their pets and sometimes not always with the best outcomes. This is probably business as usual. For me, it’s a day I will never forget. Lulu has been a part of my family for 17 years. She always brought us happiness. The past 1-2 years, she has been declining. We made every effort to give back what she has always given us, quality of life. Last week was Lulu’s toughest week, and it became increasingly difficult to ease her discomfort. I had a hard time coming to terms with her decline, but Lulu let me know it was time. Dr Moore was so compassionate. He let me know through his actions that this was not business as usual. This was tough. He focused on us, provided comfort and reassurance and acted like he had all the time in the world for us. He not only took care of Lulu in her final moments, but took care of me too. Despite the pain of losing her, we have the comfort of knowing Lulu felt love and peace in the end. Thanks to you. Thank you Dr Moore. Thank you all at the Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. I just had my first visit with the Dale Mabry Animal Hospital and I was BLOWN away! If I could give 10 stars I would!! Dr. Moore and the vet tech were beyond great and understanding with my not so A+ pup, whom is terrified of the vet's office. They both were so gentle with her, and really worked with all her anxiety. Dr. Moore found a heart murmur, which no other vet has before, and offered me several avenues to take for treatment. I highly recommend this office!

As a new dog-mommy to a rescue, it is such a breath of fresh air to receive such consistent, caring, informative assistance from the team at Dale Mabry. Since he is a rescue and we don't know our little boy's full history, it's great to have a vet that is so comprehensive and understanding. In addition, as a walk-in clinic, it is wonderful to have little-to-no wait time when coming in. We also took advantage of their boarding service, and the kennel tech did a fantastic job caring for our dog and making him feel comfortable. He also smelled so good when we picked him up, after the staff bathed him so well.

I have been going here for a few years and always have a good experience. I recently came in for annual vaccinations for my 3 cats and had very little wait time. I was able to get in and out quickly. The staff is always very courteous, friendly and professional. Dr. Moore helped with an emergency situation with one of my cats a few years ago, and his treatment helped my cat recover very quickly. Their costs are reasonable as well. I highly recommend!

Last week I noticed our local stray cat had an open would on her ea and I am so glad I found Dale Mabry Pet Hospital. The receptionist was helpful and sympathetic unlike Blue Pearl who I called first. We didn't have to make an appointment and didn't have to wait that long to be seen. The vet (Dr. Garrity) was very nice and cheerful. You could tell the staff enjoyed working there. The best part was that unlike most vets, she wasn't pushing for unnecessary treatment while judging you. Great price, wonderful staff. If I wasn't moving I would definitely continue coming here with my dog!

I am glad that the Vet we trusted sent us to this Vet, and I am glad that I listened!! They treated us like family and take such great care of our little girl Babette. They are great and always make good recommendations regarding care, and pass savings along...like getting her micro chipped, they had a special and brought it to my attention. Friendly reminders when boosters are due, and really great customer service overall. They sent her vaccination records right over to the doggy daycare so we could get her started there. These are good people and we cannot thank them enough!!

Dale Mabry Animal Hospital is amazing! The team is great and Dr. Leavengood knows what he's doing! Rocco is shy/anxious and the staff got a tail wag out of him, which is rare! My dog has chronic allergies and most vets try to throw all of the treatments or remedies on him at once. Dr. Leavengood didn't try to do that to Rocco and break my bank all at once either. I trust that the staff here isn't just in it for the money! They seem to really care about the well-being of my dog. Great experience here.

I have a small emergency when my lab cut his paw pad at the beach; I was very concerned about taking him to my vet because a few weeks ago when he had a similar issue I was charged a very large amount for a treatment I learned was not completely necessary. I called Dale Mabry Animal hospital and inquired about coming and they told me to bring him in that morning. They were so polite and quick and the vet quickly reassured me the injury was minor and he would be fine-- just gave me some antibiotics and sent me out. I am now going to make Dale Mabry Animal Hospital my primary vet in Tampa. 10/10 recommend

Dr Moore and Dr Leavengood have always taken excellent care of my yellow Lab Brooks! We recently visited for a dental consult and vaccinations and only Dr Bimonte was available that day. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about her now too! She calmed my neurotic dog mom nerves and was very patient in answering all my questions and addressing my concerns related to the dental cleaning and most importantly the anesthesia. I’m so grateful to have a veterinary office where I can trust that no matter who is seeing my fur child, he will be in very capable and loving hands. Office staff is excellent as well. I think it speaks volumes of this facility that there is so little staff turnover. I will continue to recommend this facility to friends.

Can’t say a bad word about Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. Dr. Dimonte has been so so amazing to both of our pups but most importantly our sweet Lincoln. Lincoln had emergency surgery over the weekend at a different hospital (they don’t do surgeries on the weekend) and she called to check in on him and make sure everything went okay. So sweet. I had a good experience in a VERY stressful time, so I decided to make them my vet for my dog (Lil Mama) and my cat (Kitty). Dr. Moore is amazing, the receptionists are amazing, the vet techs are AMAZING (Especially this one vet tech that I always forget her name but she wears a sailor moon watch and has curly colored hair, the way she cares and talks to my dog is insane. My dog is obsessed with her.) my dog is VERY fearful but she was so excited to go to the vet bc everyone was obsessed/loved her, she never feared the vet. A few months ago I had to move to Orlando for personal reasons And I’ve been on a mission to find a vet like them, it’s impossible, they spooked her with her shots and it’s been downhill since, now my dog is terrified of me even trimming her nails. She fears the vet, she has to take medication to even go to any vet now. I just wanted to share this to show that picking the right vet is very important and I just happened to stumble upon Dale Mabry animal hospital and I think y’all should choose this one. Sometimes I think about making a 2hr drive just for their vet visits.

I'm new to the area, and did a lot of research on surrounding vets before deciding on Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. I like that they are a walk-in clinic. I went on a Saturday morning (busiest day), but still didn't have to wait too long before being seen. I liked that a tech took my pup back to get his vitals while we waited for an available room, as that cut down on the appointment time. I can tell that the staff and doctors really care about your pets. I've been to some offices where it seems like they are just trying to nickel and dime you for every little thing. My dog was comfortable and loved all of the attention he received from the vet, techs, front office staff, and anyone who happened to walk by. I needed to find a new vet anyway...last Saturday morning my dog was not feeling well and I called to see if I could possibly get her in as a new patient. I was told it was walk in and with a copy of shot records they would happily see her. After a short wait...we were walked into a room. Everyone was wonderful, kind to my dog and me, and the care was top notch!!! Tests were run and a thorough exam(and not to break the bank), her nails were clipped and we were on our way. It turned out I was worried over nothing-my dog was just having one of those days. I received multiple follow up calls to see how she was feeling. Wow! To entire staff that I met and Dr Bimonte I thank you and V and I will be back!!! Sorry to ramble but the last vet I saw in Tampa told me my dog had a thyroid problem and needed $600 in xrays to look for problems. I brought those papers with me and Dr B was surprised cause she said her thyroid levels were normal. Again Dale Mabry Animal Hospital -here for care so we can take care of our loving pets without breaking the bank.

June 2019 We took our mini poodle Shyla to Dr Leavengood who knew right away the problem and the tests supported that she was indeed diabetic. He reassured us that is was a manageable condition and without hesitation we took up the challenge. Dr Leavengood and his staff are very attentive and instructive, they make us feel at ease when we(my daughter and I) were overwhelmed with worries and emotions. Everyone is pleasant and eager to help you and your pet get the best experiences . They also have boarding service, in house laboratory and X-rays. There really is a reason why this place has such amazing reviews compared to other vet offices. All of the staff, from the actual doctors to the techs and front office staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. I love the "walk in only" structure, you have the ability to be seen first if you arrive upon opening and there's never overbooking issues or long wait times for appointments like other vet offices. Prices are fair, they never try to gouge you for services your pet doesn't need. I also love their online site for purchasing flea and heartworm meds, and they're always sending out coupons via email. All in all this place is the only place I will ever take my dog, and any future animals I might ever have. Always a pleasant experience, I 100% recommend.

Brought my golden here for the first time so he could have a yearly exam, get vaccines, and his preventative meds. Also brought in our new kitten to make sure she didn't have worms and was healthy enough to be around our pup. The staff here is amazing, they cared for my very hyper golden with ease and knew exactly what to do to calm him down for his shots and tests. They loved on our little 4wk old kitten while they tested for parasites and provided us with some tips to help her grow strong and confident over the next few weeks before she comes back for vaccines. All of the test results (heartworm and fecal for the pup, parasites for the kitten) were provided during the appointment which was a happy surprise because it usually takes most clinics a day or two to return results. It was a relief to know that our kitten and pup were both healthy and ready to be introduced that same day. I also want to note the compassion I saw the staff exhibit for a young woman who was having to say goodbye to her dog while we were there; the staff was emotional with her and seeing the comfort they provided for her and her pup was extraordinary. For as long as I am in Tampa, we will be returning here.

We took our cat Nugget here since we were having a hard time getting an appointment at other vets. I was so thankful to find that this was walk in only. He had stopped eating, was throwing up, and was starting to get some bald spots. Everyone was very nice here! They ran some blood tests and found he has Kidney Disease. They educated us in what we need to do for him and showed many ways to help him. Dr. Moore was so find and helpful, nugget took to him like no other! Came in on a Saturday because our lab had a broken toe. Although we did have to wait for quite some time (Saturdays might be a busy time), the waiting area was comfortable and the staff was very kind. Also there are treats to keep the pups entertained. Recently I adopted a Dog from the County Pet Shelter. Within a few days I took him in for an overall check. He needed some meds for parasites, overly sensitive skin from a flea allergy, etc. We discussed the dental care needed which I'll go back for once her skin issues are under control. The staff was superb, as usual. I'd expected a much larger bill too which it wasn't. Might I have received the same services at the Humane Society Animal Care? Sure, but it wouldn't have been with the same level of customer service or niceties. Fantastic experience from "Start to Finish" They accept walk ins, it was our first time with our new puppy, (a meet and greet with the vet), and everyone was so nice, and you could tell true, caring animal lovers. The front desk welcomed our puppy and started getting his info., in just a few minutes we were back with Patrick the technician, who really took his time with our Max and getting his info., weight, checking microchip etc... Especially since Max was a rescue. Dr. Davila was in just a few minutes later and not only gave Max a thorough physical, but offered much insight and many suggestions for the care of this newest addition to the family. This is a vet that has been here for at least 35 years! I remember coming with my puppy when I was just a little girl! It is well maintained and clean. The front desk staff is VERY friendly and helpful! We didn't have a long wait at all and were seen by very knowledgeable staff. The veterinarian took her time and asked if I had any other questions. We were given a welcome packet with great information and even a free month trial of Trifexis which is a three in one pill for heartworms, flea prevention etc! New vet for my new pet....CHECK!

Dale Mabry Animal Hospital has been our vet for the past 7-8 years. They care for for our two dogs and two cats. Even though their service is walk-in, first come first serve, we have never waited more than 15 minutes at the most to be seen. Their vets are caring, knowledgeable and thorough. A couple of months ago, I lost one of my best friends. My sugar glider, Artemis, took a turn for the worst after after a sudden and tragic decline in his health. It was one of the worst experiences of my life; one day he was there, and the next he wasn't. During this time, a staff member gave endless support and sympathy— something that Artie's vet at the time lacked greatly. I asked for recommendations for exotic specialists and they quickly replied within the same day! While it wasn't enough to save him as he was already too far gone, it gave me something that I had thought to be long gone: hope. I couldn't have asked for better. The level of understanding and kindness that was extended to me was beyond anything that I expected to receive. In doing so, they were protecting their employee from further harm. The fact is, those people could have gone to ANY OTHER VET. Today, my 16 yr old pet cocker Chaps was having seizures when I arrived at DMAH. They are a caring, well-educated, technically proficient staff and quickly moved to sedate her to ease her painful spasms. Quick blood tests pointed to a dire prognosis. Dr Hansel was thoughtful and of great comfort to me. He advised me of the reality and despite their great efforts she was never going to return to consciousness. Tough choices only were available and were discussed in a very gentle, caring manner and we agreed that euthanasia was the only humane option. They compassionately allowed me the to hold and comfort my Chaps in her final living moments. For this memory and their unbounded compassion, I will forever be grateful to their entire staff.

DMAH is a very welcoming family! You can walk-in with your pet and get in quickly. The vets are very informed and personable. They tell you how it is and even give recommendations on things you can do to improve your pets atmosphere at home. I have two scenarios to include in this review. The first was tow new cats moving into together for the first time. We brought one in becuase she apeared stressed out. The vet gave us some great advice on socializing the cats as well as things to do to make the home more welcoming to both. The next scenario involved one of our cats having a blockage and was unable to urinate more than a few drops. The vet examined him and recommended surgery. He referred us to a vet that is very well versed in the procedure. Everything turned out great after the surgery. Net-net, you won't be disappointed!

I can not thank the staff enough for being so kind to my fiancé and I when we brought our dog Dozer in. After taking him to one vet on Monday who completely misdiagnosed Dozer and treated us very poorly while racking up a huge bill (including a 20$ charge for just calling their office) I was desperate to find a place who would be able to get us in the next day with out charging us emergency fees so thankfully thanks to google I found this place and I will gladly drive almost two hours every time to come here for my pets. They took us pretty much instantly after we filled out the new patient form to see the Vet and vet techs. They listened to us very carefully as we explained our concerns about what we believed to be wrong and took actions immediately. After doing just a few X-rays they found the cause of Dozers sudden decline in health while explaining to us what was wrong and the courses of action we could take they were honest about his success rate with surgery which to me is amazing and shows they really care about the animals and not how much money they can make. With that being said Dozers outcome was not one that would be easy to make yet they gave us as much time as we needed and even started to help us look up mobile veterinary services near our location so we could have Dozer peacefully put to rest at home. While waiting they brought in some chocolate ice cream for him as I said he loves ice cream and boy was he excited to finally for the first time ever to have chocolate ice cream. As we were finally ready to leave the check out process was easy and the final bill for everything was incredibly fair. So again I truly can not thank the staff enough for being so kind, caring and helpful. ❤️🐾
