I cannot say enough kind things about every single person that works here. I recommend this facility for anyone with a feline companion. From start to finish. They are professional yet so personable and have a genuine care and compassion which is so hard to find these days. I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Simon She is truly a gift. Technicians Jess, Alayna and Holly. Cat in reception helped me so much she made me feel not so alone amongst going through one of the most difficult times as a pet owner. Those of us who own felines know they are special and particular which is why Cat Doctors is such a blessing to both pet and owner. I have so much love for this facility and all the staff. If you are looking for a vet for your feline companion, don't hesitate call them today.

I have been seeing The Cat Doctors for over 15 years with my sweet cats and have always felt they have the best service and recommendations. They have always worked with me when I needed something big or small. I even moved away from South Tampa and the vet I went to with a new kitten misdiagnosed a costly eye infection and despite being further away, I decided TCD was the best for my kitties, so I continue to go back. There isn't a vet I would recommend more.

Wonderful clinic! Just moved from Georgia and wanted to find a cat only clinic for my sweet Alex. This is the place! Even though we had to drive from Tampa Palms to South Tampa it was worth every mile...Alex LOVED Dr. de Gale and the whole staff. They are all lovely people and you can tell they love cats as much as we love our babies. I highly recommend this clinic!

Oh, where to begin? Our fine, fine, seasoned gentleman had his first trip to their office in quite some time. I was pinned by a migraine and could not go but they got the far superior option, my wife. Barf ("Spaceballs" reference, I call him Mr. Mew) is an indoor/outdoor, seventeen year old, seven and a half pound wonder. He's a people guy. These pictures were taken in the exam area where he once again had the time to familiarize himself with each inch on His terms. Angela said that that was very important, especially in such a warm, spacious, and genteel of an environment so invitingly geared towards the Patient. Angela said that literally each staff member, from the front desk to the Doctor, were still as exceptional and sincere as they were when she started ten years and four cats ago. I can not understate how important hearing those things are to someone who was not there. I truly mean when I say, I am excited or relieved for you to join their family.

We started using the Cat Doctors in 2020. They accommodate both drop off and in person appointments. They are thorough, compassionate, take the time to make sure we understand what is going on with our babies, and treat our cats with love. If there is a problem, they will get you in quickly. They significantly improved the quality of life of our 18 year old girl over her last few years and smoothed her end time for both her and us. They were great with our two new family members as well. They are more expensive than our old vet, but to me, it is well worth it for the quality of care that they give our pets. Dr. Christine Simon is simply the best in our book.

I could not be more grateful that I found this amazing place to take my cat Josie. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, homey and clearly suited to cats. All of the staff we interacted with were so friendly and accommodating. Despite being a cuddly angel at home, my cat gets really stressed and aggressive at the vet, and I loved that this office operates with a “fear free” mentality and asked me the best way to go about handling her versus grabbing her and forcing it. Dr. Farrow was absolutely incredible - so kind, patient, transparent and made me feel totally comfortable with having her sedated to do her exam to ensure safety and comfort. I also loved that they gave me an estimate without me even having to ask before doing anything - that is true honesty and integrity at a practice that is hard to find. All in all I LOVED this vet and everything they are doing! It’s a 30 minute drive from me and I will still only be taking my cat here going forward!

Amazing experience..the focus is on cats and their owners. The vets and staff here are above and beyond. I was impressed how quickly they could accommodate my cat , Hey Jude, when he suddenly became ill with an ear infection. I was beyond impressed with the follow-up phone call by the doctor shortly after returning home, to explain what steps she took to treat my cat and answered all my questions. My cat seemed very happy and relaxed when I picked him up. He seemed to enjoy the cat friendly ,dog-free office. He felt at home and so did I. Thank you Cat Doctors for taking such wonderful care of my cat..I am looking forward to the follow up in a couple of weeks. I will be recommending The Cat Doctors to everyone lookong for excellent care in a clean and comfortable setting.

I can’t explain how thankful and appreciative I am for the staff that works here. Hailey at the front was super helpful and sweet, while Bella and Dr. Farrow took the most amazing care of my one year old baby for his abdominal surgery. although I was nervous about him spending the night by himself after surgery, I was communicated with the whole time and I could tell that the staff truly loved my baby boy. He was super well taken care of.

We recently took Sage, our Tortie, to Cat Doctors for the first time. They are the best vet practice I have ever been to. They are attentive to both Mom and cat, and listened/answered all of our questions. I never felt rushed and felt the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

If I could rate the Cat Doctors higher I would! They are so amazing. The staff is always greeting you with a smile. From the staff that greets you at the door, to the technicians, and the vets, everyone has your animals best interest at the forefront of their mind. We’ve lived in multiple states, had numerous Vets.. and no experience has come close to ours at Cat Doctors. Beyond grateful to have found this place! Dr F and our vet tech (Paul) were 11/10 amazing. They took great care of my girls! One of my kittens is normally very nervous when she goes to the vet, however, she did so much better than she normally does when we went to the Cat Doctors. All of the staff was so sweet with her and treated her like a princess! We saw Dr. Norden and she did so well explaining everything in detail and helped us figure out potential solutions to help my cat's skin problem. They also gave her and her sister some toys to take home! The staff was also extremely understanding and helpful with my bill for all her tests, and I was very appreciative of that since I am a full-time University student. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed! We will be back!!

The Cat Doctors are simply the best. I called first thing in the morning with a sick fur baby. They not only managed to fit Louis into the schedule, Dr. Simon rushed the test results and had completed the needed emergency surgery by early afternoon. Everyone in the office is truly passionate about caring for cats. And more importantly they treat your kitty as they would their own. We will not go anywhere else!!!

What is this sorcery?!?! How could we have been in a veterinarian clinic with my cat? She must have been hypnotized in the parking lot; she was so calm! She never cried or trembled. She was happy and curious just looking around while waiting patiently in her carrier. My sassy senior even came out of the carrier on her own to say hello to the doctor! With an appointment our wait-time was only a few minutes. Every one was kind and compassionate with my sweet Bella Boo, and super sweet with us humans. The exam was thorough, not rushed, and their Petly Plan is awesome. Hooray! We have found our new vet! ❤️

The cat doctors saved my guy Mister-Mister. He had urinary issues and he ended up in the ER twice before and each time he went The Cat Doctors followed up with me the next morning to check on Mister even though he was seen by another vet ! His condition led him to have a procedure that required him to stay overnight and I was historical but everyone in the office was so helpful and understanding and stayed on the phone with me ( even when I lost my cool 🤦🏼‍♀️ ) . They sent text messages and gave me constant updates with pictures and did such a good job with him and he is recovering perfectly!

I love The Cat Drs and I think Dr. Simon is exceptional (and I've been to a lot of vets in 40 years). I just wish they weren't so ridiculously expensive. But I think that's because they are located in South Tampa where the wealthier people live as opposed to near the stadium where I live. But you do get what you pay for!

I’ve never had a Dr.’s Office that I would want to just stop by and say hello to the staff…. Especially a vet’s office…. but now I do lol… they are all sooooo accommodating, sweet, professional, and communicative! Their follow up and customer service is like nothing I have experienced before!!!

Office cat, Socks, had a gash on her foot that needed immediate attention. After calling area vets, Cat Doctors were the only ones that said bring her over, everyone else was too busy! Office is in a residential neighborhood and has very inviting, cosy offices. Doctor Savarese was absolutely wonderful with Socks and she loved the doc! Major points there! Socks got stitches and even a free ear clean. Jessica was wonderful in going over the bill and medication that was to be given. Ladies at the front were very friendly. All in all, excellent, excellent experience and if you have a kitty that needs a doctor, this is certainly the place to take them to!

The Cat Doctors are the best! I own five cats and I completely trust Dr. Connolly with their care. She is so kind and calm with my cats and she is so gentle with their care. She was able to diagnose my cat with a rare autoimmune disorder and her treatment plan has greatly increased his quality of life. She is also reasonable with her treatment plans - she doesn’t order unnecessary testing just to make more money, unlike other vets that I’ve seen.

Dr. Connolly and Paul helped with the passing of my cat. They were personable, compassionate, and empathetic. They listened to all the stories I had to share of my little Ozzie and were so, so patient with me and kind as I parted with my buddy. They made a hard, emotional, heavy decision and moment as good and beautiful as it could be. They were so kind that I decided to take my other cat, Ezra to them to be cared for as well. Unfortunately, Ezra also will be passing soon, but she had a thorough work-up as an urgent care visit, Dr. Connolly personally called to explain the findings, next steps, plan of care, and all of the options, and I was confident that Ezra's care was in the very best hands. Paul was an incredible support and resource even days later in following up as he was so patient in listening to my concerns and thought processes as I talked through the options and what the best quality of life would be for my dear Ezra. Best vet tech I have ever encountered (and I have had 2 dogs, a bunny, and 3 cats all seen by vets, of course) as he is knowledgeable, dependable, and has the empathy of a saint. Whatever his salary is, he should get a big raise because he truly goes above and beyond. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Cat Doctors to anyone with a little feline friend and family member because they will be genuinely loved and you will feel secure knowing they are under the best care possible. Our visit with cat doctors was enjoyable. Office staff was officiant and friendly.The Doctor was knowledgeable and thoroughly checked our cat. She found that our cat is overweight and gave us good suggestions about special cat food and diet. She answered all our questions and gave an overview of the available services. We love the Cat Doctors! They have been A+ since day one. My older cats have complicated health issues and Dr. Simon and the wonderful vet techs do an amazing job helping us understand what the issues are and how to manage them. Our old vet at a different practice told us that one of our cats was severely ill and had only a few months to live. We then took her to the Cat Doctors, and Dr. Simon and her team were able to treat our cat for her issues, get them under control, and she's still her happy, lovable self nearly four years later! I sincerely believe that the Cat Doctors team love our cats as much as we do and treat them as though they were their own. Their genuine care and concern is obvious in every interaction. I truly can't say enough positive things about them!

We have been looking for a quality vet for our aggressive cat for some time. Unfortunately our cat becomes a demon at most vet offices and makes it hard to treat him. This office was super responsive, helpful, and kind throughout the entire process. The office staff are super nice and very thorough. The doctor was calm, knowledgable, and had excellent bedside manner despite the fact that our cat started misbehaving. They did a comprehensive and thorough exam of our cat that we have never been given anywhere. We feel really glad to have found this location. If you have a cat, please consider coming here. They are seriously the best. We will not be going anywhere else for our cat from now on. We are huge fans of this clinic :)

I brought both of my kitties here to see Dr. Norden. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly and assisted me however I (we) needed. The staff and vet were so knowledgeable and kind! And treated my cats and I with the most respect and the best attitude. There's even complimentary kitty toys at the end of the visit! They were quick about calling back with results too. I cannot sing the praises of this business enough! My last week was filled with so many restless nights and tears and they gave us comfort and hope again. We had a regular vet for our fur baby but moved and had to take her to a cat/dog vet about a week ago. We planned a routine visit for bloodwork to check up on her thyroid. Unfortunately, that visit ended in disaster. Our Purrl girl came back with a head tilt and extreme vertigo and was unable to walk or eat for almost the whole week. We were told to take her to the Emergency Vet but thankfully a divine intervention led us to Cat Doctors. They were kind, thorough, and so patient. They all had such calming voices, amazing personalities, and treated Purrl with respect and love. I want to say a special thank you to these ladies -> Amanda, Gina, Courtney, & Dr. Sullivan. I rarely write reviews, but when I do it is because I was graced with a special group of people. My girl cat Freckles had an ear infection. I called and they helped her! Very calm office- quiet. The staff is incredible and I honestly trust them! Very informative and helpful on future possible issues. The Doctors I've spoken to and Freckles has seen were Dr. Connelly and Dr. Farrow were very nice to speak with they explained her issues and would listen to me when I'd tell them what my little girl Freckles was doing. The Cat Doctors provide excellent care to the feline fur babies. They have been established in S Tampa for as long as I can remember and their empathy and compassion are equally matched with their experience and expert veterinary medical care. On my visit I was lucky enough to have Holly as my technician and Dr Simon for my vet. From the beginning of my curbside service intake to the diagnostics ran on my kitty, Frankie, every step of the process was seamless and professional. Patience was sweet to send me pictures of Frankie while he was back there with them and it made me happy to see him doing well. They really go the extra mile for their patients and their clients and it shows in their excellent reviews. The checkout process was easy, efficient and all done from the comfort of my car, and I left with a game plan that was easy for me to follow through with at home. If you’re in need of excellent feline care, I would highly recommend the staff and doctors at The Cat Doctors.

We have only been in the Tampa area for about six months, and since our last vet was a cats-only practice, we decided to take our geriatric kitty to the Cat Doctors. Yes, it is pricey, but absolutely worth it. Everyone there is so nice, the staff is so friendly, and the doctors are great. They were very helpful addressing the health issues that come with a geriatric kitty and helped us get his necessary medications. Yesterday we brought our baby in for some concerns, and it turned out that he had several serious health issues, which meant we would have to put him to sleep. The staff was so patient with us, helped us make cremation decisions, checked in on us, and let us stay for several hours while we cried and prepared to let him go. Dr. Vaughn even cried when the time came to say goodbye, despite the fact that she didn't know us very well. When we are ready to adopt again, I will not hesitate to bring any of my kitties back to this clinic.

I had a very good experience here. They were timely with my curbside drop off (due to COVID) and communicated well so there were no surprises. They made excellent referrals and were so nice during the difficult time of having my kitty diagnosed with cancer. Their follow up, forwarding records, honesty and cost let me know they care about my kitty and wanted to provide me with everything I need to get my kitty the best care. I recommend this vet to anyone with a kitty. I wish I could bring my dog here, too because their care is better than the vet I bring my dog to. I actually switched my dog’s vet because their standards let me know I can do better by my dog.

Are you looking for a vet? Do you want your cat to be spoiled with love? This is the place. Seriously, they take exceptional care of your cat. I originally was at another vet that was rated/reviewed to be very good. It happen that my cat became diabetic, I never received a diet plan or glucose monitoring, just given insulin and told that he will be insulin for the rest of his life. I felt that this course of action was way off and I decided to switch vets. It was the best choice I could do for my cat, I am his health advocate. He is now in diabetic remission (2-3 months after diagnosis) and just on dietary restriction. He is now a lot more active and more of himself since I started taking home here. I truly can say I feel confident in their course of treatments. The most important the pricing for treatment are not outrageous for what they do and they offer other cheaper options. Also, if you need to board your cat. They will spoil your cat. They gave him the royal treatment and they send messages with pics if you want. I could tell he settle in and became more comfortable after a few days. stop thinking and reading reviews, give them a call, they will take care of your furry family member.

They have multiple estimate options and are always willing to find a way to get the care my cat needs even when I need to fit in to a certain price range. Absolutely the very best experience we have ever had at a vet, the front desk staff was wonderful from our very first phone call to the time we walked in the door, Sam our Technician was super sweet and caring, and Dr Simmon was hands down the BEST Cat Doctor I have ever found and we went from our original vet telling us to euthanize to Dr Simmon giving us nothing but care, lots of her time, optimism and hope. I would highly recommend coming to this office no matter the cost but as always highly recommend pet insurance. They are ALL the BEST !!!

Very happy with this clinic. Staff is super friendly and they take their time with you. I spent all the time I needed talking with the vet and the vet techs. The clinic is quiet which is perfect for cats. No barking dogs stressing out my cat. My appointment ran on time and they are now allowing you to come into the clinic with your cat WHICH IS HUGE! Not all vet clinics are doing that yet. Highly recommend this clinic. Thank you.

They are amazing!!! When I moved to Tampa the first priority for me was to find a vet for my two kittens. I was nervous at first because my cats are so important to me....but now I have been going to them for months and I couldn't recommend a better place. The first time I went they gave me tons of free toys and some treats. I am someone who asks a ton of questions wether it is about their medicine or overall health. And all the doctors there take time to really explain everything to me without feeling rushed and if I am the top priority. Everytime I go I feel so welcomed and so do my cats!! 10/10 recommend this place

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I take my grumbly senior cat to the Cat Doctors and they’re always so patient and sweet with him. They walked me through every step of his lymphoma diagnosis and treatment (including coaching me on how to give him shots at home) and are always ready and communicative when I have any questions or concerns. I feel more comfortable with my old man in their hands than I ever have with any of my pets at any veterinarian before- they know their stuff and really, genuinely love cats. If you’re looking for a great place to take your kitty, this is it. I cannot recommend them enough!

I brought my rescued street cat here to see a vet for the first time ever. We had a wonderful experience there. During these hard times with the pandemic, Cat Doctors allowed me to accompany my pet the entire time since I made an appointment. Apart from being walking distance from our home this was a deciding factor and I’m so glad I chose Cat Doctors to care for my Sir Kingsley. They gave quotes for everything before doing anything, as well as multiple options for moving forward with treatment. They went out of their way to schedule in our family member BJ for a last minute appointment after she started showing signs of illness. As much as we were impressed with their skills, we were overwhelmingly touched with their concerns and follow ups to ensure she was taken care of and recovering quickly. In addition to her flu-like symptoms, the doctors were also able to diagnose dental issues that were putting her in pain, even though she wouldn't show any discomfort. After I sent them my detailed email, I was contacted by Kelly, the practice manager. She genuinely apologized on behalf of the practice, and then went the extra mile to rectify the situation in a way that not only corrected the situation to my satisfaction, but made me and our kitties lifelong clients. They communicate everything so effortlessly and document everything that is provided during your cat's visit. My poor Sweetpea started vomiting last August 2020. We just moved and were under a full house remodel so I thought she was stressed and over grooming, as she had never vomited in the past, especially as a short haired cat. I took her to a local vet once I noticed the weight loss and they said she must have allergies due to her higher liver levels, so go on this intestinal prescription food. That didn't work and she was losing more weight so I went to another local vet. The second vet wasn't concerned about her liver levels because they weren't "that high" and swore she had hairballs. He prescribed hairball control food and laxitone. That didn't work and she was losing more weight and projectile vomiting brown liquid at this point. I got her an x-ray and it showed nothing. The vet still maintained hairballs and told me to shave my cat, but if I wanted to get an ultrasound done, I could take her to Blue Pearl. Nope! I called The Cat Doctors that day and explained everything and made an in-person appointment. Dr. Connolly called me the night before her appt. and explained that she feels Sweetpea might have an intestinal issue based on the history and recommend a very specific test. Sure enough, that test came back as intestinal disease. She was put on antibiotics for 2 weeks and was to have her blood re-checked. Sweetpea still had elevated liver levels, so we did an ultra sound in-house with Dr. Ludrow, as Dr. Connolly felt she might have lymphoma. Ultimately, Sweetpea was diagnosed with lymphoma and placed on chemo and other medication. She just had her labs redone one month after starting the chemo and I am happy to report her liver levels are in the normal range, she is maintaining weight, no adverse effects to the chemo, and she has not vomited in over 2 months. Dr. Connolly literally saved my baby girl's life and I am forever grateful! She used to thrown up 1-2 times a day, every other day sometimes and lost 4 pounds in 6 months. Now, it's like I have my happy, sweet girl back. Dr. Connolly is so knowledgeable and the vets at The Cat Doctor's possess such talent. Everyone is so nice and I am so grateful for their genuine vestment in their patients. This has been such a trying experience with my girl, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am forever grateful to Dr. Connolly and all involved in having a hand to extend and provide quality again to Sweetpea's life. I can't say thank you enough. Just the best and anyone with a cat, sick or not, should go to The Cat Doctor's. I wish I could give them a million stars!

I have been going to the Cat Doctors for almost 20 years. Dr. Simon is wonderful. However today I was very disappointed with the care my cat received - no care received at all. I took him in to update his shots and was told he had a fever of 104 degrees. They (the tech) made no effort whatsoever to have a vet take a close look at my cat or to even perform a brief exam. They simply told me there was nothing they could do. I am now sitting in Urgent Vet Care and the staff here is beyond shocked that my own vet of 20 years refused to do an exam. Very disappointing....UPDATE: The Management at The Cat Doctors could not have been more professional in addressing my concerns. They contacted me apologized and reimbursed me for my expense at the Urgent Vet Care. I don't want one incident in 20 years to result in a negative relationship with the Cat Doctors because 99.9% of my experiences have been excellent. Thank you.

Dr. Simon is the best. We've been to several other vets in the Tampa area over the years with one cat that suffers allergies and another that is healthy as a horse. Nothing wrong with dogs, I love them, but it's a nice atmosphere tailored to cats and that's appreciated. WOW! We just had a wonderful experience with Cat Doctors. We were able to catch a feral cat we had been feeding that was very sick. We called Cat Doctors and they were happy to look at the cat without an appointment. We dropped off the cat (which all the other vets we called would not let us do) and Dr Vaughn called us an hour or so later. I've been using the Cat Doctors since moving to South Tampa about 4 years ago, and really appreciate everything Dr. Vaughn and her team do to keep my cat healthy. They have consistently provided great, friendly service. My cat is very anti-social and typically starts howling upon entering a vet's office. At the Cat Doctors though, he only gets irritable once procedures are being performed, and even then he doesn't howl like he does at other places.

They actually listen and pay attention to your animal! I've had a difficult time finding a decent veterinarian in my area so my husband and I drove from Groveland all the way to this vet because my niece takes her cat here. My Winston was having a terrible time coming back from a respiratory infection he had from the shelter we got him from. He seemed to heal from everything else but was starting to have different and worse symptoms from another issue that was yet to be determined. I brought him to a vet near us and they said to wait it out, that he was just one of those cats that liked to hide away by himself all the time. After that advise failed, we brought him to another vet that barely touched him then prescribed Amitriptyline. That was q bad 4 days for both me and Winston. We then brought him back to the first vet and had a different doctor look at him. She said he was allergies to something and said to try the process of elimination for food, laundry soap, candles, wall flower plugs... etc. This took some time and over 2 or 3 weeks, no changes and getting worse. Finally, we took him here and within a half hour, he's diagnosed with an inner ear infection. He's on day 7 of antibiotics and he's doing so much better. Unfortunately I think that since his ear was infected for so long, he'll have balance issues for the rest of his life. We will work with him to help him every day though so hopefully that improves. The Cat Doctors are the real deal and you can tell they care from the moment you step in the door. It's all in the details. I also liked every single employee I came in contact with. I'm not a people person so that speaks volumes!! Also, the fees were very reasonable and I felt like we got measurable value for what we spent. I wish they were closer so we could use them all the time but the doc was nice enough to give us recommendations for a vet closer to us. If they dont work out, we'll be taking long rides to the vet from now on! Thanks Dr. Haworth!! Winston says thank you as well!

I can only speak of Dr. Simon, as I havent met the other Doctor. Dr. Simon is one of the most compassionate vets I have ever had. We have been taking our cats there for nearly 20 years. It has been my experience that Dr. Simon will recommend testing if an issue arises, and most of these diagnostics are not cheap. As a cat owner you have the right to refuse any test, but what Dr. Simon is telling you is the most accurate information backed up by tests. It is the owners decision to test or not, but Dr. Simon is telling you for optimum results sometimes tests need to be performed to make a more educated diagnosis of your pets issue. I do think The Pet Doctor is a little higher than most vets, but the level of professional care is very high, perhaps the best in Tampa. This is a premium vet service with modern facilities and treatments....do you want something less for your cat ? I dont, so I continue to be a customer, and greatful to have access to such good caregivers. Thanks for being there Dr. Simon!

Dr. Simon, I believe, saved my cat's life at one point. I had written a very positive review at that time. I still think that Dr. Simon is an intelligent, knowledgeable and caring vet! However, I believe that the quality of care she gives can be compromised by an overload of patients. It seems to me, from my experiences with her, that she does not always have time to fully focus on any one cat in order to provide the best possible care. As part of that problem, she does not seem to always have the time to fully educate the owner.

The Cat Doctors make our vet visits so easy. We love our furry roommates, but they are high maintenance. The staff at The Cat Doctors take our stress away, deal with our cats’ stress easily, and provide our cats with excellent routine & specialized medical care. The Cat Doctors are equally as wonderful over the phone. If we call with questions, we are given great solutions to problems & it’s obvious the staff are familiar with our cats and they’ve read their files or notes/records. Many times our issues are solved w/o the need for an office visit. My only criticism would be that appointments are difficult to get (unless it is an emergency) so you need to schedule well in advance, but I believe it is because The Cat Doctors’ reputation for excellent care has gotten out. I can’t imagine taking our cats anywhere else & wish I could give more than five stars.
