My wife and I bring our 7 month old Golden Retriever and our 12 year old terrier mix to Brandon Lakes and we could not be more happier with the service they provide. This is honestly the best vet we have ever been to. They show so much care and love to our animals. They ask all the right questions to make sure they are not missing anything and answer any of our questions/address concerns. They always follow up with us on how our animals are doing. They also remember our dogs and their names when we come in. We aren’t just a number or seen as $$$, but feel like we are a part of their family. Doctor Harris and Rodriguez are phenomenal.

I brought my cat here yesterday and they were just great with him, just like last time I had to bring him in. Unfortunately this time there was a very loud, unruly customer yelling about masks and communism and other nonsense. This woman was so loud that she was making it really difficult to explain my cat's symptoms to the vet tech, even though we were in a different room. BIG props to the front desk though for handling a tough customer situation so calmly and professionally. I have zero complaints about this place. Everyone here is really kind - they've fit me in on short notice, and are very understanding and accommodating. You can tell they all love animals and this isn't just a paycheck for them. Treatment plans are outlined clearly and explained with the price right there, so there's no surprises. I never felt like I was being pushed out or rushed to get the next patient in. I will be sad when the unstoppable rise of Tampa rent pushes me out of the area and I have to find another vet! Thank you for treating me and Batman so well.

Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital is a place I trust with the care of my fur baby. My pet was recently neutered and he was given the best care. Dr. Rodriguez is very skilled and professional. He shows the utmost concern for my dog and reached out to discuss a potential issue that may need to be addressed. He followed up to explain, and assisted in ensuring referral. He calmed my fears and didn't make it seem like the sky was falling!! The office staff, from front desk, to grooming and kennel are awesome, as well. Always courteous and attentive. I like how they try to keep costs down and check in with you after every visit. Great people, professional, caring, relatable, and clean, organized facility!!! My dog is always happy to go there!!!

They always treat us well and efficiently when we come to visit. All of the doctors there are polite but also personable, take time to talk with you and go over everything they find. Dr Woodside is our favorite doctor there, but we have been going to him since he first started the practice. The other doctors are great too!

I have been extremely happy with everything Dr. Woodside and staff have done. There is a great deal of sincerity in the love for animals obvious in everyone I have encountered there. I had already been through two other veterinarians who essentially blew off my pet's symptoms, said she was too old for surgery even though she has more than half her life left! From the beginning I was put at ease by the expertise and plans moving forward for Lola's health with Dr. Woodside. If I had continued with the plan of treatment suggested by the other vets, I am convinced Lola would not have lasted another year or two. Now? We've got a whole lot of years ahead and for that I am so thankful. Thank you to everyone for the kindness! I am so glad Lola is in expert hands who truly care :-)

Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital is the best vet office that I’ve been to. I’ve been a client from this office since 2 years ago and the attention and care they give cannot be compared. 2 years ago my Labrador needed emergency surgery and they were able to accommodate me and the doctor was so amazing and he explained everything in detail. I recently took my German Shepherd puppy to them and I’m so happy I did because they were able to figure out what was wrong with her. The staff is excellent! Everyone is so nice and it shows that they care about their job and it seems like they are happy to work there. I would recommend this office to everyone and would never change it!

The staff here are top notch, and compassionate and caring. My cat, Andy, is a regular here because of his unique needs and I would never think about taking him anywhere else. The staff all know him and how to make him most comfortable when he visits for full-day appointments. Andy is so important to me and I don't think I could trust another vet office with a drop off like I do here. Every visit, the veterinarians and vet techs are more than happy to answer my questions, no matter how many I have. They are patient and kind, and explain things in a way that is easy to understand and ensures I am giving Andy the best care at home. Thank you, sincerely, Brandon Lakes. I’ve been taking my pets here for years and I’ve had good experiences with each visit. I’ve had multiple doctors and techs and all of them are kind, understanding and explain things really well. They explain the cost of things upfront as well. I take my pets to a mobile vet for their yearly shots to save some money but take them here for anything the mobile vet can’t take care of or recommends additional care. This vet is located in the Winthrop plaza. Location is good with ample parking available.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Here’s why…. I was at a loss when my 6 month old French bulldog fell and fractured his leg (tibial tuberosity evulsion fracture a mouthful yes also apparently can be pretty common) after taking him to emergency vet and a follow-up with our normal vet they were recommending surgery that was to cost OVER $5k! I recently spent almost 6k 6 months prior for my older Frenchie so was a little stressed with the pricing and getting his leg fixed and getting it fixed correctly. I didn’t want to risk quality over cost and after dozens, honestly dozens of calls for vets in the area and MANY searched reviews I am sooo HAPPYY I found this vet! NOT only did I not have to compromise on the quality of care but the cost didn’t break the bank (overall still not a cheap surgery) I was able to schedule a consultation with the ortho surgeon Dr. Woodside. I went to the appointment nervous and defeated and wasn’t sure what to expect I felt reassured and all my questions and concerns regarding my pup were answered and handled and before the end of our consultation we had him sent back for blood work and schedule for surgery the following morning, which went GREAT! I also have to commend the staff at the front desk and the techs each time I had to come in for a follow-up they remembered my pup by name AMAZING! Overall the entire process from my initial phone call to the follow-ups and everything in between was just above and beyond! P.S. I do have a regular vet that I’ve been going to for the past almost 4 years I take all three of my frenchies too but considering this particular case with my pup my regular vet didn’t have a ortho surgeon and just referred me back to the emergency vet (yes, the one that cost OVER $5k to do the surgery) so happy to have found Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital with how friendly and welcoming they are I’m considering switching offices It was so warm and inviting!

So glad we found this place, it has been nothing but a great experience with them. Our pup Ollie had to get a CCL surgery and the post care is quite extensive. That being said, the information that was given for post surgery was very informative, helpful, and thorough. It was a nice feeling to be given so many tools to help my pup after the surgery. Additionally, I've called the office multiple times for assistance with medicine, physical therapy, and to discuss scheduling for laser therapy and follow ups, and the team has always been informative, friendly, and super responsive. Our pup Ollie's leg is healing up quite nicely, we are more than satisfied, and our pup is already moving better on week 3. I highly recommend this place for your dogs needs, the staff here is fantastic at what they do!

This vet cared for our English Bulldog, Jax, as if he were their own loved one. They were sweet, patient and compassionate to him and our family until the very end. We really appreciated that they took their time explaining everything to us when we ultimately had to say goodbye to our sweet dog, especially since this was our first family pet and had never gone through this experience. We were heartbroken, but the staff and vets at Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital checked on us and shared their condolences, as well. We now have 2 English Bulldog rescues and didn't hesitate taking them to the professionals at Brandon Lakes.

The staff at Brandon lakes is outstanding and provides more than anything I’ve ever received at ANY other vet! They are SUPER knowledgeable about English bulldogs which is a HUGE plus! English bulldogs are a super delicate breed and to know that they knew so much on them definitely made me feel super comfortable. They’ve made our puppy Yoda back to normal and he’s a happy little puppy again! You can tell the staff here definitely LOVE what they do and it’s not just a “job” to them. BEYOND FANTASTIC! Everyone let us feel welcome ( yes, ongoing clients) but always supportive. Put us into a private room in less than 3-5 minutes - so quick, so caring. We started going to BLAH a little over a year ago and it has been the best decision we could’ve made for our pups. Dr. Haire and the nurses on staff are kind, professional, and caring. When we had to take one of our dogs into Blue Pearl ER for a sprain, they called just to ask how he was doing. Most recently, our sweet girl Callie was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma on her foot. Dr. Haire and her nurses biopsied the tumor and referred us to Fetch Cancer Center where we unfortunately found out that our girl’s leg would have to be amputated to remove all the cancer. Dr. Haire was able to perform the amputation for us the day before thanksgiving. Callie’s sutures are healing up perfectly and she’s bouncing back faster than we could’ve ever imagined. This whole heartbreaking ordeal would’ve been so much harder without them, and we are so happy to have our baby healthy again. Ironically we stopped going to our former vet due to them being too far, and having rotating doctors so we didn’t have that personal touch, then we bought a house 5 minutes away from our old vet. We will continue to drive half an hour to Dr. Haire for the best care though, and recommend them to everyone. Special shout out to all of the nurses as well for answering our frantic calls when things were really scary, and for being compassionate and patient with our millions of questions. We are so thankful for you!

My dog had bilateral TPLOs done by Dr. Woodside last year and he is doing amazing!! Doing these surgeries is the best thing I could have done for my energetic boy! He runs and plays outside with his sister and his favorite little girls everyday! (all day if he could). River loves his bionic knees!!

Unfortunately our 11 year old Black Lab/Rottweiler had advance stage osteosarcoma . They treated me with nothing but respect, although it was very bad news. The next day after talking it over with my wife we had to put her down. A hard decision, as Abby was a member of our family. When we arrived, they put us in a special room, explained the entire procedure, and gave us as much time as we needed (Amber and I were emotional recks). After completing the process, the doctor touched my shoulder, and the staff left the room, so we could say our goodbyes. What a wonderful place. We had already paid, (a more than fair price) before hand, so after we were done paying our respects, we could just walk out the door. The doctors and staff at Brandon Lakes are absolutely amazing!!! I would recommend anyone take their pet there. If we ever get another dog, Brandon Lakes is where we’re going, even though we live all the way in Wesley Chapel.

My rabbit is extremely ill and old (almost 12 years) with an upper respiratory issue, will have reoccurring infections and just recently started to have seizure like spasms, although there’s not much we can do because of his age, the vet there was the best. She actually cares for the animals and showed so much compassion towards my rabbit and after one injection he brightened up so much and started eating again. Even though we all know his time is coming soon, I can’t express how much I appreciate her for doing everything she can just to make him comfortable and give me a little more time with him.

I had recently moved to Florida and based upon a neighbor's recommendation, I contacted Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital for the care of my 13 and 12 year old pups. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff demonstrated professionalism and took care of these pups. Unfortunately, due to age and preexisting disease each passed. Dr Rodriguez handled each of their passing with compassion and empathy. I was amazed he and his staff actually cared and the sorrow they felt was clearly evident upon their faces. I would highly recommend their services. I now have a new pup and another arriving soon. Dr Rodriguez and Brandon Lakes Hospital will be the only veterinarian hospital who will be taking care of my new furry kids.

So happy we found Dr. Woodside & his friendly staff! Finally a vet that understands English bulldogs, their challenges, and options for a high quality of life. The last place we went to wanted to rush Munch immediately into surgery and said the surgeon would explain the pros/cons of the procedures the morning of the surgery (not prior) and then I could make a decision that day if I wanted to proceed. We came here for a second opinion, and I’m SO glad we did! Dr. Woodside thoroughly explained all of Munch’s options and it was not straight to the surgery table. I absolutely love Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital. We have seen both Dr. Taggart and Dr. Craver and equally love them. I always feel heard when I bring in my dogs and they have solved quite a few of our issues very easily. One of my dogs had a long standing nail issue that Dr. Taggart has no cured. I could not be more grateful. Not only do I love our vets, but the whole team is great. I had a minor scare this week with one of my dogs and they got me in that day for a drop off and were very understanding when I realized it wasn't as serious as I thought. I've had other vets where they have not been accommodating, but working with Brandon Lakes is a breath of fresh air. They also called me the next day to check in which I appreciated so much. I have a rescue that had been abused and is very scared of new people but he absolutely loves the staff. They are the only vet so far that I have felt comfortable leaving him with. I cannot say enough good things about them!

These guys are so great! we had to take one of our furbabies in for an emergency. They worked us in, addressed all our concerns and took great care of her! When i got there to pick her up after a day of observation, i found out they had been extremely short staffed for the day! Through it all they were kind, professional, caring, and took such great care of us and our baby! We never knew the stress they were under, just felt like we were the most important ones there. I talked to several patients while waiting and the absolutely told me how great the office was and why they still come there even after moving away from the area! Dr Craver, Sara & the rest of the staff are terrific & treat your pet like their own. They are compassionate & kind. I appreciate how they explain everything thoroughly. When I had questions following the day after my appointment, Sara called me back to give me answers. When my dog wouldn’t eat the rice that was recommended for a week, tips & options were given. It’s a busy office so you may to wait, but it’s worth it for the excellent care given!!

We’ve been using Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital since we moved here 3 summers ago. They have always given our doodle Rooney the best of care & really go out of their to accommodate his idiosyncrasies (not good around other dogs). Recently he has had a very serious health issue & they have given him amazing care and have worked with us explaining his disease, the care it requires and the prognosis. All the staff (The Billing dept, the vet techs & the vets) all have been so great working through these most recent issues as well as his previous visits. We are very grateful to everyone there for just being so amazing and caring!!!!

My Great Dane Goose became a patient here when he was just a baby. They have ALWAYS provided the most amazing care for their patients. My Great Dane requires special care (due to his personality) and they always take their time and go above and beyond with him. Absolutely love this place. My dog is 8 yrs old and I just got her spayed, she also needed dental work and tumors removed for testing. She got it all done in one day and I was beyond nervous and stressed. The staff was very caring and answered every question and concern. They called me with updates throughout the day. I was new to Florida when a crisis hit with my 4 dogs. Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital told me to come in right away when I called them. Their compassion, empathy and caring was more than I ever expected since they didn’t really know me or my dogs very well. I have never been to a vet where the whole staff was so understanding! Not only did they take care of my dogs, but the took care of me to make sure I was ok and to patiently calm me down and make sure I was no longer is shock. They have the Best staff and vets are so understanding. On a side note - One of my dogs is old and she can be aggressive towards people. I know to muzzle her under these situations. This staff has worked hard to earn her trust! Now my dog is very comfortable going there, she is used to they staff and will go with them now without hesitation. This is a dog many vets have told me to never bring her back. Not Brandon Lakes! Dr. Rodriguez is the most caring, gentle, and empathetic vets I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Choosing the right vet for my puppy was very important to me. With so many options in the area I wanted to make sure of many things; but the most important is how staff made me and my puppy feel. I didn’t want him to be nervous or anxious about visiting the vet so it was important how he felt when we walked in the door. Although at first the clinic was professional and was the vet recommended for acupuncture, I feel my dog got kennel cough after spending a day there. It cost me a total of $500 between the emergency clinic and their clinic and still not a definite diagnosis.

I do not have any complaints with the veterinarians ; however, please explain to my how your pharmacy runs out of our dog food and later learned the food is on back order. We did not receive an email stating the item was on back order. Now we are out of the prescribed dog food and have to order from another provider. Now that provider has tried to contact you but you told them that we have to have a written prescription in order to obtain our dog food which will add to the delay. All you had to do was look up our dogs chart and look at her prescription and give the okay. We have been seeing Dr Woodside for close to 14 years and this is absolutely ridiculous. IT IS DOG FOOD, not a narcotic. These are the types of reasons people switch veterinarians. K Brode UPDATE: Within the hour of my post, office manager (Anya)hopefully I spelled her name correctly, reached out to rectify the situation. Apparently the policy of the office is to submit a written prescription. As I do agree a written prescription may be necessary for medications, they should be a little more lenient with “dog food.” But I digress, I do appreciate the responsiveness from the office to rectify the situation. My dog buddy gets very nervous around the other dogs, but as soon as the veterinary assistant came in he calmed down pretty much immediately. She was great him. The vet also has incredible "floor" side manner he had to get a bunch of shot and even vaccine through his nose, but he wasn't fazed by any of it. He was to busy enjoying all the attention and butt scratches he was getting. The building is well kept, and the staff is super nice and efficient. For my first visit to a new vet in 10 years I couldn't be happier!

GREAT! Our dog was attacked by another dog. Took her to Blue Pearl Emergency - nightmare! Wouldn't let my husband come in to calm her down and open her mouth to be examined - even after being given a sedative - so $323 and no mouth examination for loose tooth sticking out of mouth. Brandon Lakes vet DID let husband in, examined ALL of dog, removed tooth. Worth every penny!!

I really love this place. They treat my pet as good as I do, and actually listen to your concerns and input opposed to trying to push products you don't need onto your pets. I feel like their prices are extremely competitive as well as a very nice staff. They're always review my Dog's file before coming into the consultation so I don't need to repeat everything that has been done in the past. This Vet is great. We have taken both our dogs here the past year. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The only down side is the prices. A simple routine Check up can get pretty expensive, but they do accept Care Credit which helps us out a ton! Overall I would definitely recommend this place for your fur-babies.

I've had Weimaraners for 25+ years. We moved here in 2008 with my 14 YO Weim. Brandon Lakes couldn't fit me in, so I took her to Banfield and was not happy. When I rescued another, I took him to Dr. Woodside, when he was still on Lumsden, by the Home Goods. It was the best decision ever. I have never worked with a more personable and approachable vet. Previously, all vets kept me at arm's length and I could only converse with them through receptionists and techs. Dr. Woodside takes the time to call me personally, and answers my texts and e-mails. I have several neighbors who take their dog to him, too. He has since added 4 other vets who are equally competent and personable. They never shy away from coming out of the back into the lobby to answer a question that I forgot to ask when in the exam room. The atmosphere is always very positive and friendly. Often, Mrs. Woodside comes out to pet my current Weim's long, soft ears (I'm on #6). I rescue from BDRR and FL Weim rescue. I also have 3 cats, so I'm there almost every other week. Dr. Woodside has done extensive surgery for many years and recently added TPLO to his repertoire. My current rescue Weim had to have both knees done and both surgeries were extraordinarily excellent. His prices are very reasonable compared to other vets, such as Blue Pearl, where both TPLOs could have easily cost me double. One of his other vets offers acupuncture. He has outgrown his second location and is expanding his facilities, so there currently is some construction next door. He throws an annual October yappy hour party and costume contest outdoors and they are a lot of fun! It feels like family. I highly recommend Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital!

We've had multiple great experiences here with our fur babies. We have five cats and three of them got sick on three consecutive months. As one was getting better, another would get sick with something totally different. The doctors at Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital took personal interest and great care of our babies. The staff know them by name and are so gentle with our kitties. They are always smiling and ready to help. They're centrally located and have nice, clean facilities. They are very responsive and call the day after treatment to chek up on how kitty is doing. A very bright spot in animal care and Brandon/Riverview. I can't express how appreciative and blessed for the Doctors and staff here. I brought my chihuahua "daughter - Maya" (12 years old) in yesterday at 7am for a surgery. She was diagnosis with Pyometra and we needed to act fast to preserve her life. I was ball of emotions and scared out of my mine. This was Maya’s first surgery ever in her life. As usual, this is a place were the staff truly care about animals/pets. Dr. Rodriguez and his team were very patience and they answered all of my questions. Both Dr. Rodriguez and the staff showed compassion and empathy for me as well as Maya. They kept me inform before and after the surgery via phone. They cared for Maya as if she was their personal baby. They were extremely professional and I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else.

My previous vet passed away and I have been searching for another one that matched the quality of care as Dr. Bruce Anthony- RIP. I brought my Cane Corso in for what I thought was a mild ear issue that had gotten worse, causing him to shake his head violently over the past couple of days. The friendly staff made a same day appointment for us. I was not financially prepared for the total cost of the treatment he turned out to really need. Dr. Taggart, her assistant and the other staff took care of my baby and worked with me to get what he needed done, as priority, that day, with meds to get him by until I could afford the rest. They also did his ear cleaning even though I only had half of the actual cost. I am so great full and thankful for their kindness and compassion for my boy. I will definitely return with my other 3 furkids.

I have mainly had the pleasure of working with Dr. Heppner and she is a complete sweetheart! I had to get my corgi fixed and was concerned about price so I was going to have her spayed at a low cost clinic. Dr. Heppner understood my case and went above and beyond to talk with Dr. Woodside on working out a payment plan and discount so that my dog could get the best treatment in Brandon, even though I had recently moved and only been seeing them for a couple months. Yes, I did pay more but was it worth it? Of course! My puppy was obviously very tired and unlike her playful self when I picked her up post surgery but by the next day she was back to being her spunky, bubbly her! Very grateful for the care and expertise this hospital has to offer and their services are always wonderful. It is always great to have the same vet tech and doctor for each appointment as well so my Bella is always excited to visit the vet. For every service they print out a list of all the charges and have you sign before proceeding with the service. If you have any questions, ask! I have always had my questions answered without any negative attitude. Please consider this establishment, it is worth every penny!

Update 6/14: I want to thank the office mgr for responding and when I followed up correcting misinformation I received causing my issue below. I can get the prescription I need to use where I want! All that any business can do is address customer concerns and I am satisfied with their response. Aside from this issue I've had a good experience with Brandon Lakes Vets and Techs. Older Review: After finding out I could get my dogs prescription for 1/2 the cost at an online pharmacy I called the vet thinking it would be a fairly easy process with my dogs records being up to date. Nope - they wont give any phone or faxed/email confirmation to the pharmacy. With several vets there only the doctor that saw your dog can write prescription - he was on vacation. Oh and if they provide the prescription through their pharmacy they wont give you a prescription to use anywhere else. Lol went here for 3 years and they wont get another dime from me. I will say the techs in the office are phenomenal and always helpful.

I have a french bulldog with endless skin issues. She is 3 and we have seen over 8 different vets for various issues over those 3 years. Admittedly, we are both slightly high maintenance (her with her skin, and me with my questions and somewhat overbearing dog-mom concern) I have NEVER experienced the type of care, compassion, professionalism, dedication, punctuality, and genuine human kindness that my frenchie and I received at this office. I was referred to Dr. Woodside by a friend when my Frenchie had an alarming mass on her forehead. In the span of 3 months we visited the office 5-6 times to get her issue taken care of. Every single visit was on time (literally never waited) and we were greeted with friendliness and lots of excitement each time by the staff. Dr. Woodside was patient with all my questions, my follow up questions, and my follow up, follow up questions. This office is full of wonderful people. We've definitely finally found our veterinary home.

I like the actual veterinarians However, which is a huge concern; they have the assistances come in like used car salesmans! And you actually haggle over treatments that are actually NEEDED. I HATE THIS! Of which of course starts out very high. I end up googling their diagnosis right then and there and most often than not find a much doable cheaper solution. This makes me upset. Now on our last visit we have a problem of anal glands! Gross! Because of the ick factor here I went along with the first choice medication for I was told this would nip it straight away. It was a very expensive antibiotic but we wanted to be certain not to fool around with this problem at all. Well one week later and $200s out the door as well as expressed twice guess what? Problem not resolved. Waiting for a call back now. Our dog is not a very social dog and weighs over 80lbs not easy to bring in. Also, they use blue pearl as their emergency "partner" Not a partnership I would say either. For they still require their own animal exam meaning even if you brought your pet to blue pearl the night before had exam and they gave diag. And tell you an antibiotic is needed which you can save a ton of money getting it thru your reg. Vet the next day instead of getting the rx thru them for its not a real 911 that a few hours will be ok. Well they fail to tell you the records of their exam do not matter you still need to bring dog to the reg vet to get re examed before you can get the rx. Very Frusterating to say the least plus its an extra trip for ypur pet an extra exam as well as unnecessary stress on both your pet and yourself. So even though I feel the doctors here are knowledgeable I do not like the way the "buisness" practice is ran. I love my pets and want to have good care of their health. I not only for them but myself as well think less is better when talking medications and natural is best. But when its necessary will do but don't push it and act like a used car salesman just to make your profit. So just for that reason Im back searching for a down to earth true animal lover vet not one who pushes the highest cost and unnecessary stuff. I know a profit needs to be made and dont mind paying for service I get it. But lets be truthful and real too.

We just moved here from Georgia and absolutely loved our vet's office there. When we went to Brandon Lakes for our dog's first appointment for flea meds I was completely blown away. I had goosebumps when I left bc of how sincere and thorough they were. The second time we went in for an appointment I was blown away again. You can tell that everyone there genuinely loves what they do. Seriously had goosebumps and teary eyes when I left just bc of how well they cared for my dog's (minor) eye injury and flea meds! When we first met Dr Heppner; Wiley had to be carried in; now after several acupuncture treatments he's walking again! She and the staff are super friendly and very caring! One Saturday I had a concern about Wiley and Sam at the front desk immediately stepped in and said she would talk with Dr Rodriguez and get back to me. True to her word she called back with a solution. You will not be disappointed in bringing your fur babies here. I have know Dr Woodside for many years as my vet and also my friend, thats the kind of man he is. all my friends know him, take their pets to him and love him. He is knowledgeable and all in all the best vet in town. He has kept my dogs in great health all the way to when I lost them to cancer at late ages. Dr Woodside kept my lab from having pain due to his hip displaisia and a 95 lb lab lived past 13 until cancer. Doc also kept my dobie in great health until she was almost 14. those ages are sometimes unheard of with those breeds. He now has my border collie in excellent health and she loves doc too. On top of being a very good doctor his facility is state of the art which has everything you would ever need for your pets best care. Any one who could write a bad review on Dr Woodside has no clue what they are talking about.

Dr. Woodside is the BEST!! He really cares about his patients. He did a wonderful job with our puppy Amber who broke her leg. If you want a vet who cares about your family pet then I would highly recommend Dr. Woodside. The staff members are very friendly and compassionate. Maleya (hopefully I spelled her name right) was a big help when Amber was recovering from surgery and with any other concerns I had. I would call a few times a day and she would be happy to answer any questions I had. Also Dr. Woodside called on his own time to check on Amber after her second surgery. That meant a lot to us. Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital is AMAZING. We had an emergency with our 3 legged pug Ginger, and they were spot on. I called ahead to let them know I was coming in with an emergency, and they were ready to go as soon as I walked in. Dr. Woodside was awesome as usual, however his tech Tracey was the real hero of the day (no offense Dr. Woodside)! Ginger needed to be kept overnight, and because Dr. Woodside doesn't have an overnight staff, we had to transfer her to Blue Pearl. Tracey rode with us to the hospital (over 30 minutes away), waited until Ginger was admitted, and she kept us sane with her honest , and realistic prognosis. Because of all their hard work, 24 hours later, Ginger is home and back to her usual happy self. Dr. Woodside, Tracey, and the rest of his AMAZING staff are true hero's to us, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

The goods: This is a nice facility, well equipped and with plenty of friendly and helpful staff. They are very good about fitting in patients that need immediate attention and wait times are very short. It would be a good place to go for a routine checkup or vaccinations which don't require constant communication and follow up and/or medications. Dr. Heppner is first rate and very thorough. Others: Medications and treatments are VERY expensive. Additionally they require you to either purchase medication from their pharmacy or get a written prescription that either must be picked up or mailed to you (which can take days). Then it must be re-mailed to your pharmacy of choice - all of which can take well over a week before you can even have a prescription mailed out to you. This is even the case with their own online pharmacy apparently (note - the hospital did go ahead and release my prescription to their online pharmacy "Vet Source" just now for syringes. They do not seem to carry the Vetsulin and Vetoryl products that I also need to purchase routinely). Additionally the prescription refills are given sparingly so that you get caught in this constant cycle of picking up and snail mailing prescriptions in hopes that they don't get lost somewhere along the way and leave you having to go directly to the hospital and pay the dear price for medications. Email communications may or may not be answered. Generally you will get a response if it is a revenue generating email of some kind - such as for an appointment. Requests for records, prescriptions, etc generally will require a phone call to confirm receipt. Even then I have had to wait for prescriptions and medications for 20-30 mins despite them being "ready when you get here". Communication within the office seems disorganized - probably due to the large staff and so forth. Don't leave a message with anyone and expect it to get passed along. Minus 1 star for prices and minus 1 star for "hassle factor". Hopefully my experience was not the norm.

In March of last year, my 7 year old German Shepard (Remy) blew out her ACL in her left rear leg chasing a frisby. Dr. Woodside performed a TTA (tibial tuberosity advancement) procedure on her about a week after the injury. One year later now and and you would never know she had torn her ACL! She has no limp, and is back to casing her frisby again. After the first 60 days after the procedure she was doing great but I never felt like she would make it back to 100% like she has. I would highly recommend to this procedure to anyone who has a dog with a torn ACL. As i told Doc it was well worth the investment in Remy! Thanks to Mark and all the great staff at Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital! Your the best.

If I could give 10/10 I would, Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital treated my son's doggie a.k.a my grandbaby AWESOME. They worked with me on every aspect from payment plans, dx, and plan of action. They went above and beyond their call of duty to help Milo. He had came in three times with vomiting and a rash, the rash was the least of our worries. He would possible need surgery due to a possible blockage, the doctor look at the xrays and collaborated with another doctor to help us make a decision on whether or not surgery would be definitely necessary. They also worked with me on prices, they didn't just look at the case and wanted money they REALLY CARED ABOUT THE PATIENT AND FAMILY.
