Just relocated to the Tampa area and was nervous to get my senior dog set up with a new vet. I am so happy I read reviews and stumbled upon Bayshore Animal Clinic! There was hardly any wait between being checked in with the desk and being brought back to the room with our vet tech, Aiden. He was so welcoming, informative, and made sure my anxious dog was taken care of in the right mannerism. He also understood my financial expectations for the appointment and worked with me to find a great care plan that fit my budget perfectly - huge props!! Our vet Dr. Libetti was also such a gem! She really took the time to understand my concerns, answer all questions, and made my dog feel comfortable during exam as well. Overall I left so happy with the staff and how this appointment went. Maybe now we won’t have to dread vet appointments in the future! lol

Dr. Rhodes has literally been a lifesaver. My little dachshund was diagnosed with diabetes last year, and was a particularly hard case to stabilize. Dr. Rhodes was absolutely incredible, she was persistent and eventually got my dog’s blood sugars normal again when it was looking grim. She was in continuous contact with me the whole time, addressing any concern I had (even when I called the office panicking over him) and constantly letting me know she would do everything in her power for us. My dog even fell in love with her (even after having to stay there multiple whole days with many blood sugar checks)…she honestly spent so many hours taking care and healing my animal. And when he finally stabilized, her and the technicians all had party hats on and a card and balloon tied onto my dogs collar when I came to pick him up. I literally cried, she CARES so much, and I still have the card on my fridge. I will vouch for this practice a hundred times over, my initial visit was with the owner, Dr. Drewes. He offered me a tour of the whole facility, told me about himself, and actually spent time with me and my dog, which in my experience isn’t the norm. He put me at ease immediately and knew I finally found my new home veterinarian. This practice saved my dogs life and Dr. Rhodes’ persistence is absolutely amazing. The reception desk is always friendly, cheerful and all the techs are wonderful. Thank you Bayshore Animal Clinic for being so awesome!

Just switched to Bayshore Animal Clinic and SO happy we did! The staff are all incredibly friendly, a big change from the previous nearby vet. Absolutely love Dr Duvall and vet tech Heather! Only been here a few times in the last month, and in between visits my situation has drastically changed, all visits have been very positive and the staff extremely understanding. I'm just sorry I didn't switch sooner. My kitties are definitely in good hands :)

I had such a positive experience here. My cat can be a little on the ~sassier~ side, and Bayshore Animal Clinic worked with me to meet my cats needs. They had a special room for cats that had cat pheromones, cat nip galore, a cat hammock and more, and it made all the difference with my cat's experience. They also take the time to answer any and all questions that you have. I highly recommend! Thank you so much for all your help!

My Lucy & Ethel are the biggest fans of Bayshore Animal Clinic on gandy Blvd. The "new" owners have been amazing!!. The previous BAC owner, Dr. Stu, took care of my Mika for 12+ years before he sold to the current owners. So I've been a big fan of BAC for 20+ years!! Also, I'm glad I got the pooches Trupanion pet insurance. VPI was a waste of money... Trupanion rocks!!

I love Bayshore Animal Clinic. They’re always super sweet to my dog, even though she’s high anxiety and is always afraid of Dr. Rhodes when she comes in. (I love Dr. Rhodes and she is so kind to my pup…my dog is just silly and a big baby!) I recently found out they offer a small military discount, which is helpful and appreciated when spending lots for an annual visit and work up! They also price matched Chewy for my dog’s flea and tick, which was so helpful for me because the competitive prices are hard to beat, but I needed to get her back on her meds as soon as possible.

We had been going to our previous vet for years, but were not happy with them. Dr. Rhoads was recommended by a friend and we couldn't be happier with the care she provided for our senior Golden. He was a patient here for about 6 months, but you would've thought he was a patient their for his 13 years have life. Very happy we came here!

I take all 4 of my pets to Bayshore Animal clinic. Dr. Higgins has been so supportive through our journey with a new puppy. After months of specialist visits and testing, we discovered he has Wobblers syndrome. BAC has been great about expediting prescription refills and squeezing us in for unexpected appointment needs. My oldest pup sees Dr. Panzarella who accommodates his many conditions with compassion. We are thrilled with the service and care at BAC.

Mostly good experiences. Had to wait 3-4 days to get a return call from the vet. I requested a permanent change in vets. So far, everything has been great. Must respond after BAC responded. The vet 'on call' did not respond for 3 days! After multiple calls requesting a callback. It had nothing to do with the vet being out of the office.

Dr. Duvall is the only Vetrinarian I would ever go to. She loves my animals more than I do. She helped my Maltese get his health back in order. He had numerous issues all at once and I had no idea how to even start getting him back to normal. Dr. Duvall diagnosed his issues and got him on the right meds that made him healthy quicker than I thought was possible. She also made the process as accommodating for me as possible because we had a newborn baby at home and it was difficult to be dealing with a sick dog and a new baby at home (amongst the several other kids we have). Thank goodness Dr. Duvall came to the rescue. We will sing her praises to any animal lovers and refer anyone we know to her.

Over the span of 9+ years and living anywhere from Downtown Tampa to Lakewood Ranch I have been bringing my 2 dogs to BAC. They are the most thorough and thoughtful staff and always make time to answer any questions and address any concerns I have with my furry friends. I have been going to Bayshore Animal Clinic since they were located on MacDill Avenue. Over the years my dogs have seen many of the Vets there, who have all had my complete trust. Whether you see one Vet or many, your pets will be treated as if they were theirs. It gives me great comfort to know that I can go to any of the Vets or technicians there and receive “preferential” treatment. I also really enjoy their new facility; it is very professional.

I came to the clinic with a very sick kitty, and the staff at Bayshore Animal Clinic treated us with kindness and compassion every step of the way. Dr. Higgins put together a hospice plan that allowed my beautiful Mia to live virtually pain free for another six months. When it came time to put her to rest, the team made it so that she drifted peacefully off to sleep. Dr. Higgins explained every step of the way and made sure I was able to hold her the entire time. I am not sure how they managed to make one of the saddest days of my life bearable, but somehow they did. Thank you to Dr. Higgins, Nikki, and this fantastic team for all they did for us.

I recently found Dr. De Gale on a community page on Facebook. Several people including my mom recommended her to me as well. She recently transferred clinics. However, she took the time to discuss my concerns with my dog over the weekend via Facebook. She mentioned a new diagnosis that 2 other vets and several hundreds of dollars later was never discussed. I made an appointment to see her and was very happy with the outcome. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me, as I came in with my infant and dog. My dog has anxiety and was comfortable in the office after a shorter time then normal. I did have to take her myself to the back and help keep her calm while a procedure was preformed however, they had no issues with me being there. I would recommend the clinic, it's staff and Dr. De Gale to anyone and will be happy to continue driving 30-40 minutes to visit.

As an Executive Healthcare Practitioner, compliance consultant, I must say that Bayshore Animal Hospital is as as safe a healthcare clinic in sanitary/clinically appropriate environment as 90% of those "human clinics" where I have performed compliance and life/safety audits. As well, the veterinarians, support staff-front and back staff- are incredibly efficient, kind, caring, and clinically sound. All three of our four legged children actually seem to be excited to see their Bayshore A.H family when they need a visit!

I just wanted to post my experience here and send a big THANK YOU to the staff and owners for being a Fear-Free clinic My dog, Malcom, had a rough start to his life. We've had him for 3+ years and it's been a long, hard road learning how to care for a dog like him. He's reactive and fear-aggressive. He's a great dog, but he's difficult to manage. Malcom has never had a good Vet visit in his life. It was a HUGE source of anxiety for all of us. He has always had to be muzzled and restrained by multiple people. Every. Single. Visit. Until recently. I'll be honest, I was nervous bringing him in. I must have called this clinic at least 3-4 times over the past couple months asking the same questions over and over about how trained the staff was and how much of the Fear-Free methods were used there. They are the ONLY clinic in driving distance that offer these methods or know anything about it(I've called around!). And honestly, the only reason I know about it is because I work with animals and am FEar-FRee Certified as well, I found them via a search on the website after I got my certification. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot and called to come in the side door, I felt at ease. As did Malcom. Every single person we interacted with executed the Fear-Free protocols flawlessly. Cindy greeted us at the door and put us in a private room. She took the time to let Malcom get comfortable with her and get our basic information. Our Tech Tracy, did the same. As did the Vet we saw, Dr. de Gale. Each one of these amazing ladies really went the extra mile to make sure that Malcom was relaxed and comfortable with everything that they did. They read him SO WELL and handled him with the upmost care. For the first time in his life, he made it through a Vet visit with absolutely ZERO restraint. When he got nervous, they backed away and let him relax and built back up the trust again. I'm still amazed that we were able to get a blood draw from him with no reaction whatsoever. I just can't put into words how happy and thankful we are right now to have found this place. I literally cried tears of joy and relief on the way home. It's been so hard for us to see this creature we love so much have to go through what he did before with a vet visit. How traumatic its been for him. I can't explain how relieved we feel right now, knowing there is a safe place he can go to receive care now. I honestly can't thank this place enough. Thank you to the owner for taking the time to learn these methods, certify herself, and implement them in this practice. And thank you to the staff for doing the same. Thank you all, for caring enough to take the extra time to be Fear-free. It truly means the world to people like me who need this. Cindy, Tracy, Dr. de Gale (ANd everyone else at BAC)- THANK YOU!! You have helped to change my dogs life for the better and we appreciate it more than you know! P.S. I honestly don't understand the reviews complaining about the money they were charged. Before they even started the exam and treatment, we went over everything we wanted done. They gave me several options and a quote for the high end and low end depending on what tests and such I chose to do. They did what a good VET SHOULD DO. Explain what things are, why they are needed, what could be done at a later time, and then let me make the decision on what I felt financially comfortable handling at this moment. Sure, they are a little more pricey than other Vets I have used. BUT - they spent an hour and a half with my fearful dog, to make sure he was at ease and comfortable receiving their care. This is a business and time is money. If they ONLY cared about the Money, they could be just like most other Vets and not take the time to be a Fear-FRee clinic. Handling animals in this manner takes a tremendous amount of extra time and effort. And IM GLADLY willing to spend the extra money on that for my dogs happiness and well-being.

I was first introduced to Bayshore Animal clinic while pet sitting a friends puppy in 2019. From that experience alone I knew it would be the only place for me and my future puppy. My golden retriever Bohdi and I have been in their loving care for close to 2 years now and we could not be happier or in better hands. They are not only attentive, thorough and accommodating, but extremely passionate about the care they provide to both you and most importantly your pet. Came into the clinic back in July, new to the area and my dog was sick. They took him in instantly and gave the best care, unlike some of the local vets that refused to take a new patient. They sent his medical records to other colleagues across the United States to help get second opinions on testing and X-rays. Explained in Layman terms what was going on. Had to make a hard decision and they were so great at such a hard time. Now having a new puppy, they are still as friendly and pleasant. Without a doubt trust them with my dog.

I've been bringing my senior dog, Goldie, here for almost 5 years and they are always so good with him. He is always well cared for and they try to make sure you don't spend more than necessary for things like medications. Even their curbside service has been a really smooth experience. They handle interactions mostly over the phone during the appointment, but I'm confident my dog is in good hands with their doctors and techs even when I can't physically be in the exam room with him. They're so thorough and never rush exams, and I've gotten follow up calls just to see how he was doing after starting new medications and minor procedures. You can tell the entire staff loves animals and my dog is always comfortable here, even seeing multiple doctors and techs. I absolutely recommend BAC for your beloved fur babies!

I read good reviews and had referrals from friends before going, but after leaving today I wanted to write my own. My cat was limping all week and I just wanted to get her checked out. They were booked today, but after I told them today was my day off, they offered to work me in! Very sweet! The practice is nice and very clean. The staff and tech were super sweet and I loved Dr. Walsh's demeanor. She is very friendly and informative. Not only did she assess what I came in for, but also another longstanding problem that other vets never offered any helpful advice or treatment for. Bayshore Animal Clinic has been an amazing experience for my dogs and I every time that we have come in. We have seen several of their vets and techs and they are all amazing. Even the ladies at the front desk are always smiling and oozing happiness, I guess I would be too if I got to see cute puppies all day 🥰. We have been going there for years, and they have been honest, given their recommendations(but not pushy at all), and have always made us feel comfortable and happy with our fur babies’ care. Dr. Bloom is our current vet, and she is amazing! She is sweet, caring, compassionate, and a true animal-lover! She even goes above and beyond by showing you specific things on the computer that could help you with your pet. I would absolutely recommend BAC and Dr. Bloom!!

I take both of my kitties to see Dr Bucki. He is always super thorough with his exams, and never seems rushed or lazy. (which is awesome since of course I want my cats to have the best care!) He also takes time to discuss important things regarding the cats with me, especially since one of them has a heart murmur! The vet techs we've encountered have all been very nice and comforting to my kitties. I also like that they have a "cat room" and usually take us back to the room quickly to wait for the Dr in there alone so they don't need to be around the dogs in the waiting room.

Found an amazing vet who can handle my Bella! The staff and doctors here are knowledgeable, caring, patient, and efficient with the most recent technology. This office has been a level of service I have never experienced. Bella is high anxiety from being taken from mom at 4 weeks old when we rescued her. Her hypertension did not intimidate any member of this staff. Everyone embraced her and adapted to her needs. I have been searching for a year to find a vet of this caliber. Her surgery, spay, went great. The doctor personally called me to communicate, from start to finish, how the day progressed. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby! She was a complicated case.

We recently moved to Tampa and were looking for a new vet. I stopped by a few vets in the area to see their offices. Bayshore Animal Clinic was not only the cleanest but the friendliest. The three ladies sitting at the front desk were so helpful and gave me a tour of the entire office. I saw the rooms, the surgery space, laser room, dental area and everything else. I can’t wait to start taking our pup there. I highly recommend checking them out! Update: We went for our visit with our dog and I couldn't recommend Dr. Gunter more! Lucia took care of us until we saw the vet for our dog's annual check up and she was very friendly and helpful. Amazing experience and everyone was SO friendly. We will be raving about this visit for years.

We recently relocated to Tampa from North Florida. Finding a new vet is always a stressful task because you want to find one that you can trust and that is reliable. Bayshore Animal Clinic has been just that. They are always on time, friendly, and very clear about what treatments they are doing for your pet. Our fur baby is an Australian Shepherd and he was itching really badly but not from fleas. The wonderful vet was able to narrow down what the issue was and explain it to us in detail. All the vet techs have been amazing and it was obvious to us they actually love animals. I highly recommend this facility to anyone with a animal child.

Made our first visit yesterday with our rescue dachshund. He shows signs of abuse, and Dr. Bowes and the tech were wonderful with him. They took lots of time to get to know him and let him get to know them. This is a big practice and I was concerned that it would be a fast moving business and not offer the personal touch of a small practice. Everyone was kind and engaging. The costs were inline with other veterinarian services I have been a part of in the last few years. The have new customers based on our first experience.

The staff here is always so warm and friendly, the doc spent more time with Luna than my own doctor spends with me to make sure that she could get the best care possible. The staff was also very knowledgeable on the multiple options to address my pups allergy issues varying in strength as well as cost so that Luna could get what she needed without breaking my bank account. They're a great office that I drive a long ways to get to because I always leave feeling like Luna got the best possible care.

I have an appt with Dr. Bucki, and I haven't even been to my first appt, but this office is SO ACCOMMODATING!! I have so many questions before getting my puppy in Oct, and Dr. Bucki gave me a call back to answer my questions. We love Bayshore Animal Clinic! From the font office staff, to the vet techs, to the vets...It is clear that they are all true animal lovers. Everyone is always super friendly and shows our dog lots of love. During each visit, they discuss exactly what treatment they recommend, the cost, and your options before they do anything. We also receive a follow up call from the vet (and an email) after every visit to discuss test results or just to check on our pup. We have always been very satisfied and confident with their care of our dog. I highly recommend this practice, we usually see Dr. Panzerella, but have seen several other vets in the practice and have always been happy. We ❤️ Dr. Panzerella!!

I got my first puppy that I was solely responsible for, both physically and monetarily, and they have been so helpful in both regards. They answered any and all of my new puppy questions, and helped me tackle behavioral problems, as well as medical issues which my puppy experienced a lot of unfortunately. They never suggested solutions or procedures that weren't necessary and not once have I felt like they were trying to get me to spend more money. When we go there, everyone knows my pup, and is so nice to us both. I love the staff here, they are amazing!

This is by far the best veterinary practice in the area. Unfortunately for our kitten, we have recently required multiple appointments and have seen almost every doctor in the practice. We love Bayshore Animal Clinic. Dr. Bloom in particular has been wonderful with my cat that I've been having difficulties with for unknown reasons. The staff - clerical, technicians, and veterinarians - are all friendly and warm when you visit. The clinic itself is very clean and homey feeling. My cats don't like the vet much, but the feliway in the special cat rooms helps them to feel comfortable. It's a beautiful establishment, and well worth the cost.

We started going to Bayshore Animal Clinic about a year ago when I got my Sheltie puppy. Our first visit was great! All of the reception staff and techs are so welcoming and bubbly and they greet each animal with excitement. On my first visit we saw Dr. Panderella who was SUPER nice and I planned to go back to her again, but recently I was scheduled with DR WALSH - LOVE HER!! She really personalized the visit, telling me a little about her background and her own fur babies. She really made me and my dogs feel comfortable and I felt I could talk to her easily. The facility is clean and spacious and I love that they have complementary beverages (A Starbucks frappachio was exactly what I needed at an early morning appointment :) After trying out two other south Tampa vets, we have found the best of the best!! Dr. Drewes, the front staff, and the vet techs are all amazing they really care about the animals in the animals in their care. They always go out of their way to make my very nervous dog more comfortable, treats, sitting on the floor, letting me help with handling him. Vet visits could be very stressful for us but I never worry at Bayshore because I know they will be patient and give my dog space. They are always upfront with medical options and will give estimates if needed, I have never felt rushed, and have always felt they give comprehensive care. This is the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Panzerella and every veterinary and the entire staff at this clinic are caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. We used to go to another veterinary clinic in the area that would run all kinds of tests and prescribe medications that cost us thousands of dollars, and one of the medications almost killed my cat, which had allergies and skin problems. When we finally changed clinics and explained the cat's symptoms, the veterinary suggested a dermatologist at Blue Pearl and with their help we completely got the allergies under control. All the while, Bayshore Animal clinic was involved in the treatment process and worked closely together with Blue Pearl. When the same cat devolved chronic kidney disease, the vets at the clinic educated us and developed a treatment plan that include medications, allergy serum, and subcutaneous fluids that prolonged our cat's life for another two and a half years. When the cat's condition became so bad that he was at risk of suffering heart or kidney failure, the vets at the clinic helped us to make the difficult decision to let him go. Our feline friend peacefully fell asleep on our lap and Dr.Bloom and the veterinary tech were most compassionate and told us that we were giving him a gift by ending his suffering. We are forever appreciative of the care and compassion that we were shown. We still have one cat and we take her to the same clinic. We went there yesterday for her annual check up and we received the same excellent service as always and Dr. Panzerella took the time to speak to us even though it was a tech appointment. We highly recommend this clinic and would never think to go anywhere else with our pets.

We bring our two dogs here and I have to say, I have never had such a wonderful experience bringing our dogs to the vet before. The Doctors are very friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and will spend any amount of time needed to answer all of your questions and set your mind at ease. When you walk in the waiting room is large, welcoming and VERY clean. The staff is also very friendly, fast to get you checked in and even offer free refreshments to the humans (and their four-legged friends). Our dogs are senior and I always have a lot of questions and being able to have a dialogue with the Doctors and even be able to send e-mails directly to them (and have them reply back directly in a matter of hours) is tremendously important and reassuring for us. We, like other dog owners, love our dogs VERY much and like other dog owners, have very high standards for who gets to care for them. I’ve been going to Bayshore animal clinic with my pets for many years. But this past week reminded me why I like them so much. I return from an out-of-town trip to find my 14-year-old rescue quite lethargic and apparently in pain. My own vet was not in but Laura assured me that the newest vet, Dr Bowes would take good care of him. She did, and after some testing was able to diagnose and suggest treatment options. She called me, gave me a detailed but understandable summary and then followed through. I’ve never met this woman, but she called me several times to update me and treated me as if I was the most important person in her day. Laura and Ashley also communicated with me. It’s a great team! Just moved to the area and heard great things about this vet office. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the office and friendly employees. They have cold drinks at the front for their customers which seems like such a small thing, but these details are what set them apart from others. Jose the tech was super friendly and made us feel so welcomed. We saw Dr. Bucki and were very pleased with his thorough exam. He didn't make us feel rushed and his calm spirit made the appointment a breeze. Another thing that impressed me was the state of the art technology they use and the capability to do many labs and services in house. Being a pet owner isn't cheap, and it's a nice feeling when really do get what you pay for. You're paying for QUALITY at this facility. Definitely returning!

This is my first permanent puppy of my own and they've more than met my expectations in terms of price and experience interacting with the office in person and via phone. The staff at Bayshore Animal Clinic is so caring and thoughtful. My sweet girl was immediately treated so well in her serious condition and I was confident even when I had to leave her that she was with people who already cared so much about her. Alyssa and the rest of the front desk crew are so helpful and even on the phone will take time to remember me and answer questions or relay messages with the vet. Ashley, Meghan and so many of the vet techs really make their own relationship with the animals and are so knowledgeable and personable to work with. Dr. Panzarella took no time at all to see us and took delicate care of my baby (we had just been in a bad car accident). Once my girl was admitted for the day it seemed that all of the vets had an understanding of our situation, which made me feel more comfortable entrusting her there without me. Dr. Drewes was so helpful in really breaking things down so we could understand what’s going on medically and what our options are for treatment, as well as being open and conscientious about financial expenses. Even running into him in the parking lot, no file in hand, he took the time to come up to me and was able to discuss and already have in mind our situation and even new information they had discovered. I was so impressed with how much he was able to recall and knew off hand without even having one thing in front of him. To sum it up, the staff at Bayshore Animal Clinic are a great team and I’m so thankful I chose them during such a critical time.

I have been taking my cat to this clinic for 6 years and I will never go anywhere else! Dr. Drewes, Dr. Panzarella and all of the other veterinarians are the best anyone could ask for. My cat has had long term GI issues and was recently diagnosed with diabetes. They are very thorough and give me all the options so we can make decisions as a team. In addition they always try to find me the most reasonably priced care (lab tests, medications, etc.) so it is comforting to know that they are truly looking out for our best interests. The clinic is always extremely clean and the staff are amazing as well! They all provide extraordinary customer service and I trust them 100%. I wish I could give them 100 stars!!

Bayshore Animal Clinic is absolutely the finest, most kind hearted group of Vets in the Tampa Bay Area. Dr. Bloom cared for our sweet Chocolate Labrador Godiva till the very end. Unfortunately, it was time for Godiva to leave us. Dr. Bloom exemplified what I would say is needed in any Vet. She showed clinical expertise in diagnosis, a high level of communication regarding our options over the last year, and showed extreme compassion and empathy when we finally had to make the decision we all dread. Ultimately, Godiva is pain free and in peace now. We miss her very much and love her. I highly recommend Bayshore Animal Clinic to anyone who wants the very best for their loved one. Amazing staff. Dr. Bloom is incredible. Very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Very clean building and exam rooms. My one critique is the pricing & business structure. Based on our other Vet in the Tampa area their pricing seems to be about 25% higher. I also sometimes felt in certain situations they operated more like a business and less like a Vet. Tried to sell us on pet insurance which it sounds like they get a cut on. Also gave push back when we asked for a prescription for the heartworm so we could buy it online at a cheaper price. They said it was because they don't trust the quality of online retailers (1-800-PetMeds)? But I have not heard that from any other vet. Felt like they just wanted the sale. At the end of the day they are running a business, and I understand, and that is their prerogative. But it feels like all the Vet techs are trained to boost sales, and that is not an environment I feel comfortable in.

I've been going to Bayshore Animal Clinic since the days of Dr. Z when it was in a tiny place on MacDill. While the owners and staff have changed over three decades, I still consider this my "go-to" place for all my pets' medical and well-being needs. I am not surprised to see this place have almost a consistent 5 STAR rating. The vets here are SUPER caring and put animal welfare FIRST. They do not nickle and dime you for little things - they even price match medicines and mail them to you! Dr Panzarella treated my dog and diagnosed her correctly after 2 years of seeing another vet repeatedly who's solution always seemed to be more meds, visits and tests that became quite costly. Dr Panzarella is SUPER smart and SUPER customer service focused. The staff is excellent as well. I would send anyone there!

I brought my dog in to have his rabies vaccine updated. I was frustrated that this wasn't addressed at our last visit a little over a month ago and was going to have to pay for a full exam and office visit in addition to the vaccine. When I expressed my disappointment to the vet, Dr. Gunter apologized for the oversight and did not charge me for the office visit or exam. He was extremely gentle with my dog and did a thorough exam. As a Nurse Practitioner, I make sure that I am staying ahead of my patients needs and saving them money where I can. I was very pleased with the customer service I received today and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet.

I must say I'm not usually one to write reviews. But I feel this is really well deserved to the wonder staff and to any pet owner in the area. The Bayshore Animal Clinic is by far the best vet I've been to. I've had tons of pets my entire life and its nice to finally see people who value them as much as I do. The circumstances involving our sweet cat were not the best. I will not go into detail, I will just say he was very very sick. We weren't sure what was wrong with him when we took him to the vet but stayed optimistic. The doctors and nurses were incredibly kind throughout each visit. They even remembered our cat each time we brought him in. They did literally everything they could for our cat and did their best to keep costs down. Even working after hours to assist with our sick kitty's care. The doctors even went so far as to check in with our cat throughout the week to be sure he was doing okay. My boyfriend and I had to leave our cat with my brother during a business trip for a week and my brother was able to to bring the cat in with no trouble and they answered any questions he had. They really go out of their way for their customers and their pets. Unfortunately, our cat did not make it and we had to put him down. Again I want to thank the staff for their kindness during this time. They even called to check in with us a few days after our cat had passed. They sent us a signed card from all staff along with an imprint of his paw print. It really means so much that they tried so hard. I hope if any of you read this please know how grateful we are. We will have pets in the future and as long as we are in the area we will continue going to Bayshore Animal Clinic. :)

An efficiently managed clinic with plenty of staff to handle all arrivals. They have an exclusive cat room with a pheremone diffuser to aid in the animals calmness. Dr. Alexis de Gale and the staff are a caring and compassionate group of professionals. They follow up all visits with several phone calls over the next several days to check the status of my pets and answer any questions I may have. My cats have never been so calm and relaxed during a Vet visit in the entire 10 years I've had them.

Dr.Panzarella and Dr. Drew’s are fabulous doctors, I can’t say enough good things about them. They have gone above and Beyond to help my dogs. One of my Labradoodle‘s has a brain disorder Dr. Drew’s was right on top of it he sent me too Sarasota to get an MRI and that safes my boys life. They always call and check up and make sure he’s doing OK. I also had a dog that was blind and had a lot of issues and they took such good care of her truly cared and loved her and was there for me when I had to put her down it was devastating, without them I don’t know what I would’ve done. The love that they have for the animals is nothing I’ve ever seen before. If you were looking for Great veterinarian you really need to go to them, it’s unbelievable how they are there for you from the beginning to the end.

If you love and care about your animals and you are VERY picky like I am, look no further! This place is hands down the best. Knowledgeable and patient doctors, friendly staff, and clean facility. There is also zero waiting time. I found this place after a previous vet had put us through the wringer (you can check my previous reviews)! We called asking for an immediate check up for one of my dogs and they squeezed us in with Dr. Haworth the same afternoon. He took the time to go over our X-Rays and calm us down and assure us there was no emergency, which we were led to believe from our previous vet. We set up a treatment plan and we were on our way! No insane fees or scare tactics that some offices are notorious for. I brought our other dog in for a check up and yearly exam and the doctor recommended teeth cleaning under anesthesia. I am terrified of anesthesia because I had a dog pass away from intolerance in the past. Dr. Haworth took the time to give me a walk through of the surgery rooms, dental cleaning area, and introduced me to some of the techs! I met with him two more times before he did the surgery where he explained it to me in detail. The day of, he called me every step of the way with both of my dogs to keep me calm and informed. Amazing person as well as a doctor. Since we have made this our main office, Dr. Haworth has since retired, so we have met with Dr. Drewes (one of the owners) and he did a complicated surgery on my dog for me. I told him my concerns with the anesthetic and he assured me and told me all of his experience (can I say WOW?!) His history is impressive. The staff here are amazing and kind, especially Ashley! She's so gentle and knows her stuff. I always feel great trusting her with my pets. Dr. Drewes and his wife, Dr. Panzarella, have built an amazing practice filled with unbeatable staff and years of experience. If you're looking for a new animal Doctor, look no further because this is the best you will ever find.

Drs. Drewes and Panzarella are truly a gift to Tampa Bay. I have taken Nathan to Bayshore Animal Clinic since getting him as a puppy and was satisfied with the care received there. Since this husband and wife team took over as owners, they have certainly taken the quality of care up a few notches. They genuinely care about their patients and take the needed time with their parents- and without the lecturing that I certainly deserve at times. Their follow-up is impeccable and they really do want to know how your dog or cat is doing. I just wanted to end with a word about the techs whom I consider the unsung heroes there. They are always nice and polite regardless of their frantic work pace, and always helpful with administering meds to my stubborn dog. More than that, they are the first to ask the reason for the visit as well as answering any questions prior to the vet arriving in the room. Dr. Bucki was great and so was Annabell. Zoe gets very nervous at the vet and tends to bark and cry. We were kind of causing a nuisance in the waiting room and I felt terrible. The front desk, without me asking, got us into a room asap which was appreciative. Zoe was then able to relax in quiet. Anabell was very nice and spent a good amount of time with us. Dr. Bucki was great and explained all the treatment options for us and the different price points. We ended up walking out paying almost $500 which we didn't expect, but I feel the prices were on par with the services provided and the facility itself. It's true you get what you pay for. I truly appreciated the amount of time Dr. Bucki spent with us in the room, out of the many vets we've seen, no one has ever spent that much time and cared to explain everything like he did!

Dr. Bowes and the technicians at BAC helped our 10 year old golden retriever who I found unable to walk when returning home from work one afternoon. Dr. Bowes and 3 technicians saw us sometime after 6pm and did an x-ray to see what was going on. Dr. Bowes diagnosed our dog with a dislocated hip and referred us to BluePearl emergency hospital on Busch Blvd. so that his hip could be put back into the socket (closed reduction) or have surgery. She walked through the possible steps that Blue Pearl would recommend and emailed our dog’s x-ray to Blue Pearl before we left. I felt informed about our dog’s condition and better prepared to discuss options when we arrived. I appreciate Dr. Bowes letting us know that a specialist would have more experience with a closed reduction or surgery. We followed up with Dr. Bowes 2 days after and she informed us that she had been following our dog’s progress on the paperwork that BluePearl was sharing with them. I feel reassured that Dr. Bowes cares for our dog and was following up on her own; she certainly went above and beyond the basic expectation of care.

The building is very nicely decorated. The veterinarian is most likely qualified. The staff didn't impress me, trying to charge me the full dog tag rate even though i had ID proving i was eligible for the senior discount, but ultimately gave it to me. The prices are extremely high compared to the same services i used to get at my high quality Fort Lauderdale animal hospital. I just did not click with those high rates. I now drive my dogs 90 miles one way to Dunnellon Animal Hospital where i get the same veterinary expertise and services, friendlier staff and Fort Lauderdale prices. Much happier driving that far to get pet care rather than continuing to go to Bayshore.

We recently moved into the area and hadn't had a chance to find a new vet before our dog suddenly got very sick and we had to put her down. A friend recommended Bayshore Animal Clinic and I liked their website - a completely shallow reason to go to a place but it was comforting, and that's what I needed. I had no idea at that time how true that gut reaction would be. Dr. Mondschein was amazing and did everything he could to help a hopeless situation. The fact that they showed her so much love and took the time to thoroughly explain everything meant the world to us. He treated her like she was his own, and on the one week anniversary of her passing called to see how we were doing. The clinic sent us a ceramic tile of her paw print with her name on it, and they sent us a card signed by everyone in the office with a photo of a dog the same breed as her on the front. We broke down crying when we saw it. It's the attention to detail and amazing compassion that overwhelmed us. We're getting a puppy in February. You can bet they have our business for life.

I have been going to this clinic for over 25 years. Recently i took both my chihuahuas Sam and Jo both females in for their annuals. Dr. Bloom was the attending physician, she is excellent with our pets and also takes the time to explain any situations she might encounter while examining them, you leave the clinic with a complete understanding of what was done and they follow up with you the next day to see how the pet is doing and if any if you need any questions answered. After i took my pets home, one of them Sam had an adverse reaction to one of the shots she had received and her face was swelling up. I rushed back to the clinic which had just closed for the day and was able to find Dr Bloom and a Technician who immediately took my Sam in and started to work on her recovery. As i waited in the parking lot due to corona virus restrictions some of the Tech's I hope that is there title were coming out to go home and each one stopped by me and told me how my Sam was doing and that she would be out soon, that helped so much to calm my fears. I want to say thank you to Dr. Bloom and the staff members at the clinic for all the kindness and love they give to our pets, your kindness to me that day will not be forgotten. I was referred to Bayshore Animal Clinic by my dog's trainer at PETCO. My dog had been randomly showing signs of nausea frequently and it didn't seem to be improving. Therefore, I decided I would give Bayshore Animal Clinic a shot since I had heard such good things and they definitely lived up to every good thing I heard. The staff and Dr. Haworth were extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely care about my dog. I didn't feel like I was just another patient they were trying to rush through so they could move on to the next one. Dr. Haworth really took his time to try to get to the bottom of what was causing my dog's nausea. They didn't try to push any expensive treatment or medicine on me either which I really appreciated. Past veterinary clinics I have visited seemed like they were more fixated on racking up my invoice vs. really wanting to help my animals. One day I went looking for a new vet and I found this place around the corner from where I used to live which is in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. Jacob Drewes showed me around as I had requested and the very next day I returned with one of my felines. I wish that I had found this place before using any of my previous vets. Not only is the staff friendly, caring and efficient but the owner Jacob Drewes is wonderful who actually cares about his clients as well as the critters and is intelligent and witty. He takes the time to assess and act on situations as well as explaining everything clearly about my pets. Even as a worrier in general I am always at ease either leaving my pets in their care or just going in for office visits. Unlike past most or none of my previous vets, staff members call to see how my babies are doing after being seen or treated for anything. Every detail before a procedure is performed is explained beforehand. Once I brought in Banerjee, my favorite feline without having an appointment not being sure if it was an emergency and was seen immediately. As usual I was reassured that I am always welcome and unlike other clinics I received a call checking on my baby which made me even love the place more. Being more than a business I never feel rushed and am relaxed about how I am treated as well as my pets. I can't state enough how relieved I am to have found this new vet after I thought that it would be hard for me to do this. Jacob Drewes makes even some other nice people look bad and as well as being a great vet and person he is intelligent and humorous.

My pups and I recently moved back to Tampa, and we chose Bayshore Animal Clinic based on fellow Yelpers' recommendations. The whole clinic impressed me from my initial call to schedule an appointment to our most recent visit for Penelope's booster shots and thunder-induced anxiety. It's hard for a veterinary clinic to impress me because I am the most extra of all helicopter dog moms, but Bayshore Animal Clinic did it! Dr. Panzarella and her technicians were very attentive to the needs and wellness of both of my sweet hounds, recommending appropriate Florida-specific care like the leptospirosis vaccine, suggesting one pet insurance over another, and answering questions from both me and my mom, a helicopter dog grandmother! (Dr. Panzarella backed up her vaccine recommendation with research from the University of Florida, too, which made me feel respected as an intelligent dog owner and affirmed that the clinic was not just trying to make extra money by administering unnecessary vaccines.) I called the office the day after the second visit with a question about Penelope's lab results and her medication, and Dr. Panzarella returned the call herself within an hour. The clinic itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, with complimentary beverages in the waiting room (although we did not wait more than 3 minutes on either visit), friendly front desk staff, and knowledgeable veterinary technicians. Plus there is ample parking, a real bonus for South Tampa.

Dr. Panzarella and Dr. Drewes at Bayshore Animal Clinic are THE BEST vets EVER. Bayshore Animal Clinic has taken care of three of my dogs for the past 13 years. I recently had to move 45 minutes away. I very reluctantly, and much to my chagrin, tried a new vet in my new hood a few months ago because it was an emergency. UGH! I don't even know what possessed me to think I'd ever find anyone as good as Doctors Panzarella and Drewes. Hence, I have been making the trek to Bayshore Animal Clinic since then, no matter what, come hell or high water. You want to know how great they are? Read on... I have breast cancer. It has been quite the fight the past 12 months. I had to undergo 16 chemo treatments and 33 radiation treatments. I have had three surgeries and am due for a couple more in the near future. At the very same time I was diagnosed with cancer, the man I am divorcing stole everything from me: our money, our business, everyyyyyything. EXCEPT THE DOG! Hell, no. Ain't nobody gettin' the dog! I am destitute, to say the least. And in the middle of all of my cancer treatments, Sookie, my amazing dog, ruptured TWO of her cruciate ligaments. She has had one surgery and is due for another. Dr. Panzarella has helped me soooooo much through this process. She has helped me in so many ways with medicines, shots, X-rays.... Things I couldn't possibly pay for, but desperately needed for the one reason I had to fight cancer to stay alive: Sookie. My dog. I know I sound like a sappy Lifetime Movie, but it's all true. Dr. Panzarella is an angel of mercy. A gift from God in my crazy world. She has helped save my life, via my dog. No exaggeration. We've taken both of our German Shepherds to Dr. Panz for all of their needs and every experience has been truly exceptional. Last spring, Cosmo, our 11y/o GSD had to be put down due to a large cancer area which formed in her thoracic area and as difficult as the process can be emotionally, Dr. Panz and her team (Vicki and Jason) were professional, caring and respectful through the entire process. He was a pretty sick kitty so Dr. Panz took him home at night (she has over 10 years emergency vet experience) and used Facetime so I could say good-night! It was touch and go there for awhile so we will be forever grateful for the insight, knowledge, compassion and professionalism we experienced at BAC!!

I’m so beyond grateful to Animal Bayshore Clinic. I had already given them 5 stars after going there for almost 2 years. But I had to re-write my review, if I could give them 10 stars I would. Sadly I had to euthanize my 16 year old furry baby Venki in an emergency a few days ago at their clinic. And the compassion, kindness and humanity from the vets and technicians that day made a world of difference in such a horrible an extremely painful experience. The friend that accompanied me was in awe seeing how kind and compassionate the vets and technicians were. They allowed me to be with my baby the whole time even while in the back with oxygen. I couldn’t bear the thought of him being so scared or passing and me not being there. Dr. Panzarella was away and still stayed in communication with me and continued supporting me even after my baby was gone. And I got a beautiful flower arrangement with their deepest condolences. They say that you know who your friends are during tough times ! And Dr. Panzarella and her team truly and genuinely cared and were there for me at one of the most painful moments in my life. I trusted them with Venki’s health for the last 2 years of his life. And I cannot imagine having taken my baby anywhere else. Dr. Panzarella and her team will always have a very special place in my heart ! Thank you !!
