Have consistently had great results with Millis Animal Hospital. Although different than many other veterinarians I really enjoy not setting appointments in advance. This makes it very easy to get care quickly with little notice. We have taken our four year old labradoodle to Millis since we got her at 4 months old and have never considered switching. They are always available to answer our questions on the phone if necessary and have never recommended unnecessary treatments or care. Each vet and tech we have worked with has been top notch.

I cannot recommend Millis Animal Hospital enough. They are a walk in clinic with several wonderful, caring veterinarians on staff. You don’t need an appointment, and unless things are popping off like crazy, there usually isn’t a long wait at all. We went in today for umpteenth time (we’ve been going to the since we moved to StL 2.5 years ago) because my 2 girls got into it and, while nothing too serious, one of them needed a couple staples and antibiotics. I was in and out in about an hour. Also, as far as vets go, they are very reasonably priced! With three dogs and a cat I’m glad I have such a reliable, great place to go! They are able to handle so much on a walk in basis it’s actually kind of amazing. We’ve been there for everything: vaccinations, stitches, medication, bloodwork, dental care, surgery,… everything! We’ve (sadly) needed their help with euthanasia with our old boy a couple years ago. They can handle most situations and are always great. I know my pets are getting the best care when I take them to Millis Animal Hospital.

They took amazing care of my cat jasmine and answered all my questions. This was her first time there. I got there around 0900, the check-in was efficient. I got an assessment, rabies vaccine, and urine analysis for $150. The prices were reasonable. It was always easy to get a hold of a staff member during hours of operation. I went with a friend to support her as she needed to put her 17 year old dog down. They treated her so well and with an amazing amount of compassion. This is a gut wrenching event and this place made it as smooth as possible and gave my friend all the time she needed to stay with her dog once the procedure was done. Millis is top notch and I would recommend it without reservation

Millis Animal Hospital has cared for all of my pets for the past 20 years. The entire staff are incredibly compassionate and caring. Recently my little Bella became quite ill and was laid to rest. Dr. Rodis was so kind and empathetic. She gave my husband and I the time we needed to say goodbye, and made this most difficult experience bearable. I can’t say enough about the entire Millis team. Millis Animal Hospital is one of the best animal hospitals in St. Louis. After moving here 4 years ago from Chicago, all friends and family said, "if you need a trustworthy, reliable and practical vet who takes time with your animals, go to Millis". Every doctor on staff is professional and takes the time to get to know your pet and your pets needs. They don't just recommend treatments for nothing and they take the prospective of "if this was my pet, what would I do". I would highly recommend Millis to anyone looking for someone who will care not only about you, but the pet that's sitting on that table.

Always top rate care for our dogs. No appointments, just walk in. They normally have a steady flow of customers, but if you avoid Monday mornings, the wait is never too long. We had to put down our older Golden Doodle, and Dr. Millis (Tom) was so compassionate and his love of animals was so evident, that it made the process... Less terrible. It was very hard for me, and yes I cried, and I think he did too.

I've been taking my pets to Millis Animal Hospital for decades. They've always done a great job with our animals! They explain what they are going to do, talk to us after examination, vaccinations, etc have been done. If anything more complicated, blood work, etc, they call with results the next day. Only thing I would mention is they are extremely busy, you might have to wait an hour at least. But it is worth it. I would highly recommend Millis Animal Hospital, but I believe at this time they are only accepting current patients.

I like the vets and the staff but the wait is awful. It would be great to have appointments for routine care AND drop in hours for items that pop up. My last visit I waited 1 1/2 hours with (2) 12 week old puppies. I already know I have to go back at 16 weeks but I can't make an appointment. Anxiety about encountering another marathon wait already setting in!

Millis has been a wonderful vet for our mini goldendoodle puppy. Due to covid, you have to wait in the car longer on certain days and times. However it used to be a walk in clinic, (first come first serve) which is great since you never know when you'll need to go the vet. For procedures and vaccines you can always make an appointment which is also super convenient. Great experience so far the doctors and technicians are always super friendly.

I am amazed at how great Millis Animal Hospital has been to us. They are so kind and compassionate that it actually shocks me. They never try to guilt me about anything, they never offer unnecessary treatments or try to sell me extra food or medicines. Their billing is trustworthy, and surprisingly from my calling around they always have the most affordable prices of all of the vets in the area. Except for surgeries, they do not schedule appointments. Rather, it is a walk-in clinic, and even at its busiest times it's not too much of a wait. If you are looking for a vet, definitely give Millis Animal Hospital a visit. I especially recommend asking for Dr. Savage; she is much sweeter than her name would suggest.

This veterinary hospital does not take appointments because they have TWELVE veterinarians on staff. They keep hours that are helpful for working people having Saturday hours and some evenings during the week. They are HOPPING busy, but they are great at moving patients in and out. Great staff...and they keep their prices low. Pretty conveniently located with regards to highway access. Daisy said she didn't like getting her blood drawn, but she's " OK " now. 🐕

Millis is amazing. I've been taking my dog there for 11 years and unfortunately I took him there for the last time today. Millis was there for his first and last visit and they've been courteous and professional each time. They have walk-ins and are very busy but it's because they are good at what they do and are understanding. I've seen quite the variety of pets too. All in all, choose a vet that you and your pet are comfortable with, but if you are in this area, Millis is a great option.

We started going to this vet when we got our Doberman puppy in May 2018. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We don't always see the same vet but they have detailed records and can pick up right where we left off. The waiting room is pretty big. We like that it is walk in service and no appointments needed. It has always been clean even on busy Saturday mornings. We are very thrilled with out choice for vet.

Their willingness to take walk ins without charging an exuberant emergency fee is amazing. I was able to get my dog in for a consultation and then schedule surgery in 2 days, when my regular vet was going to make me wait 2 weeks for just the consult or pay emergency fees and then wait all day for a free doctor. Millis is definitely our new go-to vet.

I started going to Millis Animal Hospital in the 1980s at their old location. This visit was quick to get in as usual. They are friendly and knowledgable. Mills is moderately priced. Not the most expensive. They will give you quotes for cost of everything. I trust them with my pets. If you have your favorite doctors you can ask and wait for them for more serious visits.

They take such great care of my dogs! We have been taking our family dogs here for 3 generations and I was worried that when they built the new building that the level of care and bedside manner would decline. That is not the case at all. They never try to push extra medications or procedures on me like has been the experience for some at other local vet clinics. Dr Savage is AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about this practice. It’s clean, well staffed and they really care about you and your pet. This is the place to take your pets and the women at the front desk are so warm and personable. It’s a walk-in no appointment necessary practice but you don’t wait long if at all because it’s so smoothly run. Wonderful people wonderful place!

The vets here are knowledgeable and extremely capable. I brought my puppy in, took a seat, and was seen right away. I can imagine the wait may be longer or shorter at different times throughout the day, but it was convenient to be able to just walk in without an appointment.

Very professional staff with neighborhood pricing. We have been coming to Millis for the last 8 years after being referred to them from the vet at the APA who could no longer assist in their advanced needs. We have never been disappointed. You can make an appointment or walk right in. As a walk in, I dont think we ever waited more than 20 minutes even on the busiest Saturday. Staff, Techs, and Drs are all friendly and professional.

What a wonderful team getting all our pets taken good care of. We had to wait in the van because of the virus but they had it nicely organized and came out to get each of my dogs one at a time. Now they have been tested for heartworms and will be on their heartworm prevention on time because of their hard work running car to car in and out in this heat. We have good air in our van front and back so be ready to run your air. So thankful for this team for all their hard work during these uncertain times. Max and Luna waiting their turn.

Dr. Larry Millis was a great vet when we had to make the tough decision to put down our sweet Vito. He explained all of our options and left the choice up to me without being pushy. He went over the risks and costs of each option. His staff was extremely kind and gave us as much time as we wanted to spend before moving forward with euthanasia. I would highly recommend Millis for veterinary care. Their rates are reasonable and the fact they accept walk-ins only makes it much easier to get to their office when convenient for me. We have permanently switched vets for our other two dogs and will continue to use Millis in the future.

I love Millis Animal Hospital. Price is very fair, customer/pet service is great, and they move fast. It's all walk ins (I know some people don't work well with that, and that's fine), and with COVID procedures in place, you do have to wait some time in order to be seen. Before COVID, I think the longest I ever waited was 15 mins before I was helped (I've waited longer for actual appointments). Today, I waited for over an hour (they were BUSY), but once I was seen, we were done with everything in less than 15 mins and everyone was very helpful. I would urge you to use the QR code they have posted outside the building for check-in as opposed to calling in. If I were to complain, it would be that it's nigh impossible right now to get through on the phone line (strictly during these different times, not prior). However, using the QR code process was super quick and easy and someone had called me to finish my check in within 3 minutes. They were very helpful in determining his breed/mix, also. He wasn't what we thought, but just as the vet tech/asst said, "He's still 100% cute!" (didn't catch her name, red-headed gal, smart lady :P). I believe the Vet's name was Dr. Miller (Sorry, I'm terrible at names!), and he was so kind and informative. Thank you so much, I will always recommend you and your staff to every furry friend. Max and I appreciate all you guys do and for doing it with a smile!

Very professional, quick, and easy. Called ahead to set up an appointment as was told it wasn't necessary. Within 3 minutes of filling out the minimal paperwork I was seen by a vet. I brought my cat in for a suspected UTI, as a walk in. We were seen, treated and out the door within an hour of arriving. The staff was pleasant and professional. The facilty was also very clean. As someone who is only in St. Louis temporarily for a job, I'd recommend this business to anyone.

Expensive! Great office that doesn’t require appointments but their rates are as high as an emergency clinic. Took two dogs in for an ear check and walked out $213 poorer. Medicine fit ear infections was a total of $52. $161 was for office visit and ear cleaning, which seems steep for 45 minutes of professional time.

Have been going to Milllis since 1980; no appointment necessary. extremely professional; these Millis vets are all the same...extremely profession; doesn't matter whom you see. Brought my puppys there. Said "goodbye" to old friends there...was very distraught and they thoroughly understood... They go through the life cycle with pets as well as their owners. very justifiable and reasonable charges. Head of front desk calls everyone by name without looking up files. Cannot recommend more highly, obviously.

Started taking our older dog last year.. Had used Webster Animal hospital in the past--night and day difference. Our dog older, when we took to WAH for nail trim, they came back, said they had to put him under to get it done...he wheezed for weeks after anesthesia. Next time, took him to Millis, they took him back, and boom! Came back with him saying he did great giving me a treat! Not a dog factory like WAH, who's main goal is to sell their dogfood telling all that their pets are overweight and it's luck of the draw what doc you see. Millis people are super nice, you can see same doc each time if you want, compassionate about costs etc. Sadly, had to take the old guy back for his last trip, they couldn't have been more supportive and understanding.

Dr Albers has twice operated in our dog. Once to remove a mast cell tumor in her chest. The tumors have fingers and can be tricky. She has been cancer free for 2 years so he clearly artfully removed the fingers and all.

It it's great. Theyhave a wall in clinic for your pets. The doctors are very caring and our fur kids enjoy their visits there. Their caring for us and our fur baby Monday last meant so much. We had to put our boy down after 16 1/2 years. They made it so much easier on us. Though it is never easy.

Ashley Apking DVM examined my dog. My dog was not frightened, instead he acted like he found a new friend. He was still happy after he received several shots. I highly recommend this pet hospital for your pet. Don't be afraid of the "no appointment" policy. I waited 12 minutes before my dog was seen.

There is no better vet. For more than two decades, Millis Animal Hospital had been where our family has taken our pets (6 dogs, 2 cats). From Dr. Millis senior to Dr. Millis junior and every other vet, technician, and staff member, it is apparent that everyone cares. My mom still talks about how Dr. Tom Millis carried our first dog out to the car after being cared for. And when on vacation, one of the vets from Millis came out to Kennelwood to check on a pup who wasn’t eating as well. And when my cat was fighting for her life and needing IV fluids daily, Millis Animal Hospital worked with me to see that she got the care she needed. Even though I’ve moved more than once, I still keep bringing my cats and dogs here because I KNOW that at Millis they are well cared for. There is no better vet.
