Great veterinarian services at very fair prices especially because they take small and "exotic" animals such as my fancy rats. They can have a long calendar wait but if it's an emergency they can get to you much faster and honestly they're so kind, quick and efficient they wait seems like nothing. I really love that whenever I take my rats they're showered in nothing but compliments about how cute they are. 💜

Dr. Murphy was the best! The moment she walked in, she got on the floor to play with my dog and make him comfortable with her. She asked about any concerns I had, and I was comfortable telling her even the silliest things, because she obviously knew how much we care about our dogs. She explained everything she was doing and why we were doing it. My pup got a clean bill of health and lots of treats. We will be back!

Ruby had to go twice to the vet to get a glucose curve reading to treat her diabetes. She had to be there all day each time. She was calm going there and calm when we picked her up. I think she was comfortable being there. Thanks for treating her with love.

Outside of the waiting in your car to have a veterinary tech come get you, the staff was great with greeting and smiles. Very friendly. The technician was very understanding and thorough with questions about our dog. The wait time to see the actual ve was very short, we didn't wait very long. They went over all options and had what was needed to have our chihuahua's throat lump examined

Fronts desk was great, and it was easy to make an appointment. The vet tech was extremely nice! Vet was great and answered all my questions. Didn’t feel rushed! My dog has had bad experiences with vets. He’s a German shepherd mix! They were patient and also very fast with the shots. I also brought in my cats the same day. My old man cat loved everyone and they were so sweet and gentle with him. Overall I’m VERY happy with my experience. I can finally say I’ve found a forever vet for my animals.

They’ve been great, I started going to them in June with my dog’s first check up. They’re a nice, small vet office. Have good availability, I love Dr. Goss. I have a skittish, traumatized dog and Dr. Goss has been amazing with him. Good prices for all services. And this is my first dog so I’ve called with a lot of questions and can always reach someone.

Chippewa Animal Hospital is the best vet we've found in the area. The veterinary staff are so kind and attentive, and the care they've given our cat is amazing. They're typically able to fit us in for appointments quite quickly and are very responsive over the phone. The vet also spends a good amount of time with our cat and explains any possible issues and treatments thoroughly, so we always feel good when leaving the hospital.

Excellent service and communication. The entry to service feels a bit like crossing the boarder. However, once inside the service is fantastic. Prepare to get comfortable in the parking lot, either dropping off, or picking up your four legged friends.

The vets and the staff are super professional; super knowledgeable; super friendly and super compassionate each and every time I bring Ruger in! Whenever I create an appointment on PetDesk, they respond immediately and if I create the appointment on a Sunday, they will call on Monday morning to inquire about the problem more thoroughly and try to get me in as soon as possible if it seems urgent! I have had pets my entire life, and that means I've been going to veterinary services for decades now. Chippewa Animal Hospital is the best. Dr. Meyer and Dr. Goss are knowledgeable and care a great deal about the health of my best friends. All week, my dog has been laid low with some mystery illness/injury that has scared the life out of me. I have had him in to see Dr Meyer twice, talked to one or the other of them on the phone every day and they even let me swing by at closing time to pick up a new medication for him. When I did, Dr. Meyer told me that she had been up late the previous night thinking about alternate diagnoses that might better encompass his symptoms. On her personal time, she was thinking about my dog and his situation. I've never had that happen before. I'm so grateful to her and to the rest of their team for being just excellent in every way. My pets will always go to Chippewa Animal Hospital.

This vet office has taken us through heartworm for one of our rescues, a slew of digestive issues for the other, and severe anemia in our cat with compassion, responsiveness, gentleness, and a little dose of humor to balance it all out (which is needed when your cat think he can kill the vet if he just tries hard enough). I have been coming here since I had my first dog Cocoa in 1994. We tried switching to a different vet closer to home with our 2 newest pups and it didn't come close to Chippewa Animal hospital. I love the staff! They are so caring and compassionate. The prices are a little high, but it's worth it for the service you receive in my opinion.

Brought 8 puppies to be vaccinated, thought it was going to be several hours...no...less than 30 minutes. Great team work, friendly, accommodating, highly recommend. Prices cheaper than Caroline House Pet Fix Clinic. Did not know I had a animal hospital in my neighborhood...driving time 2 minutes. Will recommend.

My favorite is that this vet practice is conservative as far as treatments, such as, spacing out shots if customer asks. I have a 10 lb. dog and prefer not to have all his shots at one time, and this practice is fine with that.

Giving Back Hope

I live right next to Chippewa animal hospital and I have some good things to say and some not-so-good things to say so let's start with the good things. Good thing is the ladies at the front desk are awesome, they're friendly and very helpful and always seemed concerned about the animal needs that i brought to them. Now for the not so good..when my cat Mason was very sick I brought him to that hospital to see if they could help him. hey charged me over $100 just to rehydrate him and gave him a pill...in addition to that quoted me over $300 more if I wanted to run some tests on him to see what was wrong with him and there's no guarantee that those tests would tell me what was wrong with him. My poor cat died two hours later. The doctor wouldn't even consider helping him without payment upfront which I didn't have it at the time but was more than willing to make a payment arrangement with them. My poor Mason suffered and died less than two hours later. I'm still upset about that and it has been over a year since the incident. And because of the callous disposition that the doctor showed while my Mason suffered and died, I'm only willing to give them three stars. I gave them all the money i had available at the time, like 90/bucks and they refused to treat Mason any further without the additional 300/for test plus whatever further treatment that would be required up front. But did offer to let me apply for a credit card to cover the cost. Three stars for you, and that's being generous!

Quick and friendly service. I've interacted with both of the vets on staff and have been satisfied with my cat's care. The office decor is pretty outdated and the waiting room isn't very comfy, but if you're in and out for a quick visit it doesn't really matter...

We were visiting St. Louis and one our dogs had an issue that appeared to be quite serious, perhaps life threatening. I asked for an evaluation and they worked us into their morning schedule. The staff was great, Dr. Kurka took time to explain his examination, our options and risks. We left with confidence that our dog would be recovering and the charge was very reasonable. In and out in about an hour. Excellent care.

On multiple occassions , Chippewa has gone out of their way to get us in when we have serious concerns. When necessary , they've made a cooperative recommendation and subsidized our visit to an emergency vet. They are sensible , efficient , owner friendly , and reasonably priced. I'd not consider going anywhere else. Most recently here is my response to the survey: When you fit us in , reception / front office is as concerned for our Baby as we are , the Doc does her best , then contacts us for disposition and information , it's impossible to improve. They were able to get our dog in quickly after she was attacked by a raccoon. Pricing is comparable to other vets in the area and the staff is super friendly. The only reason they aren't receiving 5 stars is because the parking lot is tiny, horrible and they are right on a busy street with no place for animals to relieve themselves before a vet appointment.

We started going to Chippewa Animal hospital about a year ago following repeated disappointment with the service at the Chippewa Banfield. They were a breath of fresh air and we finally felt like our dogs received treatment based off what they needed (not what they could be charged for) This time last week, we had to make the appointment literally every pet owner dreads. Going in we weren't sure of the outcome ahead but had a pretty good feeling it wasn't going to be good. We were still fairly new to the hospital so this was our first time meeting Dr. Julie Nadeau- and I can't begin to express how grateful I am she was the vet to be with us at such a terrible time. Losing our dog that day was horrific but a week later all I continue to think about is how much more comforting she made that moment for us. She confirmed the worst, in the most compassionate way. She did a thorough evaluation of Harper and made certain we could be confident in our decision to let our girl go. Its like she knew we would play the moment over and over in our head and question if what we did was right. She relieved us of that personal torture so we could mourn our dog and celebrate her life like it deserved to be. I remember walking out of the room and seeing tears on her face- a family she never met. It was powerful and appreciated and I'm just really grateful that time was spent with someone that cared not just about our dog, but about us. We aren't quite at the place to adopt again but we will, and when we do we will be seeing Dr. Nadeau- she is amazing. And kudos to the Chippewa animal hospital receptionist and technicians as well- they too, are wonderful. Thank all of you for making such a terrible day, a positive experience. That's not easy to do. Our pets usually see Dr. Pendino, so I know him the best. He carefully considers all the variables in the animal's life as he makes his diagnoses. He does not treat anything unnecessarily. He asks for your input in deciding which would be the best treatment option for the dog and he is honest. He tells you when something needs to be addressed. I have never gotten the impression he was trying to sell me on anything- just a good, honest veterinarian. I truly think the world of him. So do my dogs and my cat.

Maxwell P. Rottweiler Pecinovsky was definitely not feeling well...lethargic, losing weight, and not even interested in barking. Standing 6 feet tall on his hind legs and usually 140-180 lbs not an easy dog to get in a car. But we made it in and he smoozed his way into the hearts of the people there. It is expensive...BUT MAX is much better and going back in 2 weeks. Thank - you Dr.Pendino and everyone involved!
