I have been bringing my dog here for roughly 7 years off-and-on. There have been a few vets in the practice that were a bit abrasive but overall, I have loved every vet I've seen. The whole practice really takes the time to answer any and all questions or concerns without feeling like they are rushing. Highly recommend.

The doctors and all staff are AMAZING!! Dr. Kraabel saved our dog's life by diagnosing her rare Myasthenia Gravis disease. She is so much better now and we are 110% thankful for all the staff and care at Lien.

Really caring staff and no BS. Check in process is easy and wait time is less than 5 min on a normal day . I really liked that the vet explained the issue my dog was having in bit more details rather than just prescribing a medicine . Everyone was super kind to Bella and showed so much love 💕! There are limited parking spots at the clinic but plenty of street parking available . Lastly I appreciated the follow up call to check how’s her ear infection :) Bella was back to being a happy dog after few days of treatment 🐾

Taking our cat to Lien Animal Clinic for annual exam and vaccinations was a great choice for us. Staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Wootton's and his assistant John's approach to our cat was really nice, I haven't seen my cat that much calm and relaxed with someone else before. They gave us valuable recommendations about our cat's health. From my experience with Lien Animal Clinic I could say that they are not after your money, they are after your lovely pet's health. I would definitely recommend them.

Dr. Kraaber has been awesome and really was willing to go outside of normal conventions given my unique circumstances. My kitten was diagnosed with FIP and by the time I had seen him I had already been seen at about 3 different vets and been turned away by many more. I explained upfront I was against euthanizina and wanted to do everything possible to help my kitten live as long as possible with the best quality of life. I just wanted a doctor who was willing to support my decisions and didn't have strange ethical reasons for not wanting to continue care. Dr. Kraaber was not only knowledgeable about this disease and went the extra mile to confirm the disease and eliminate any other problems that may have been masked. When i brought up an experimental medicine, he went the extra mile to research it. I felt like he was the only doctor willing to enpower me to care for my kitten best. He worked with me every step of the way and tweaked delivery methods of medicines as needed. He even prepared me for taking my cat on a road trip over the holidays. I plan to switch all my cats over to his care. He is extremely thorough and would recommend his services especially to anyone questioning a diagnosis or needing specialized care. Furthermore, the prices at Lien Animal Clinic are extremely reasonable in comparison to other clinics for the same services.

This Clinic is by far the best I’ve been too. Very considerate staff and open communication. Yes like all other clinics, they have been pretty booked up, but this is happening at almost every clinic around the nation. Definitely not just an issue at Lien. The negative reviews are clearly self entitled West Seattle residents that cry because they didn’t get what they wanted ! Highly recommend to contact these guys when they start taking new clients again.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. They obviously care, always very kind, polite, sometimes it can be a little hard to get a hold of them due to busy times (especially with covid) but other than that absolutely great. Every doctor/vet there has always been very polite, and understanding. When my dog passed away they did absolutely wonderful by me, even sent me a personal "sorry" card signed by all. I'm moving to Idaho next year, and I'm very sad to be leaving such a great vet clinic behind me.

Wonderful staff! Everyone has been very accommodating and easy to reach by phone or email. They respond to calls promptly. Dr. Siepel is wonderful at handling our cats and provides in-depth information on their health and care. He has taken the time to manage both of our cats' ongoing health issues to make sure they have the best lives possible. I have never felt pressured in making decisions, but feel that he would advocate for animals' best interests if their owners were neglecting health concerns. Tech Cherokee is kind and good at handling our cats. She makes the scary trip to the vet as comfortable for them as possible. I can tell that everyone at Lien loves animals and they are so good at their jobs. The late hours on week nights are very appreciated for clients going to the vet after work. I love Lien and am very happy with our care here.

So thankful to have found Lien! We moved to Seattle from out of state and we're so anxious to find a great vet for our Siberian Husky Maverick. We were fortunate Lien was the first place we decided to try because we have had nothing but great experiences. Within the last six or so months our dog has had multiple issues. Varying from a case of conjunctivitis to a possible auto immune disease, the continuous symptoms had left me extremely worried. But no matter what, every single person that I interacted with at Lien has done nothing but comforted me while trying to get to the bottom of his issues. They have made sure they made time for Maverick every time I've requested an appointment, answered all of my calls and frequent emails (I'm talking at least 3 a week) about symptoms and progress, and above all else they are so thorough with their diagnoses and treatment plans. They have been adamant about doing what is best for him while making sure his treatments are done in the most cost effective way. I am so grateful that they care about him as much as I do. Thank you Dr. Wolf and all of the Lien staff!!! HIGHLY recommend.

Dr. Wootton is wonderful! I brought in a very scared little rescue dog, and he was so gentle and kind to her that she actually relaxed enough to roll over for a belly rub by the end of the appointment. He explained everything he was doing during the exam, sharing his findings as he went, and answering all of my questions. The young woman at the reception desk was also very sweet, got me checked in quickly, and made me feel welcome. Thank you for the excellent care. My co-worker recommended this clinic to me, and now I will be recommending Lien Animal Clinic to all my friends too.

I love the doctors at this Lien Animal Clinic. I have been taking pets there for the past 20+ years and the care is fantastic and the docs seems to truly care about animals. On the other hand, I have been frustrated with the organizational/business side. Not so much to make me stop going there, but I do go with the knowledge that there may well be confusion. The staff are generally supportive, friendly and thoughtful.

My dog Natasha and I have been coming to Lien Animal Clinic since I first adopted her five years ago. She's a reactive dog with issues, but they accommodate her so well, and with a great sense of humor and gentle care (including calling her muzzle a "party hat", which I love). Recently, she had to have a few teeth and an eye tumor removed, and even with restrictions from COVID-19, they were so fast and responsive throughout the entire process and took extra care at discharge, including answering any follow up questions I had and checking in on her recovery the week after. We absolutely love Dr. Seipel too. I couldn't recommend a better veterinary facility than Lien Animal Clinic.

My pet became very sick and couldn't eat. Covid-19's necessary safety restrictions have overwhelmed animal clinics. However, Lien did everything they could to schedule the surgery asap, despite full schedules. Dr Tweed & all the staff at Lien are always nothing short of wonderful to my dogs and I. It is apparent that they all have a lot of love for family members of the furry persuasion & it shows. Combine that with their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism and I can't imagine entrusting my babies with any other clinic in the city. As an update... since my previous main vet moved on from this practice, and some new fur-balls have been introduced into my personal wild animal kingdom home (can anyone say COVID kitty?!?!), I have had the opportunity to see the other vets and techs at Lien and have been absolutely impressed with every single one. The entire team is always amazing! They have taken the absolute best care of my furry family members. Over the years i have experienced the tragedy and inevitable horror of losing one of my babies and not only did Lien give my dogs and cats the best care imaginable, but they have been so kind and considerate to me as well, sending cards, even flowers once, to show that they truly care. The best vet experience we've ever had. Staff is knowledgeable and professional and Dr. Wolf was the best vet I've had for any animal, ever. She genuinely cared for our animals and helped us through end of life scenarios for one of our pets. The whole office even sent a signed card after the passing of our dog, that kind of genuine human caring and affection is what you can expect from this place. I’m a new pet owner and new to Lien Animal Clinic. I completed the pre-registration paperwork online, which was nice. Our visit was very efficient - little wait time until placed in an exam room, seen within minutes and check-out equally quick. The staff was very personable, but also very aware that this little puppy wasn’t going to tolerate any interactions with other 4-legged friends. Dr. Dertinger spoke very quietly and calmly, and offered many suggestions for addressing puppy behavior. I’m grateful they were accepting new clients.

Staff is efficient, proficient, and professional. They are able to answer my questions. Front desk is very reliable about returning missed calls.

They always give parameters that would mean you should bring your pet back for recheck. Twice when we've had a dog with life-threatening condition (Addison's disease, herniated disk) they've promptly made diagnosis and instituted treatment and referrals.

Honest and straightforward in a way that makes taking the information easy and helps you better understand what is going on with your pet. Had our first appointment at Lien last week for our German Shepherd. The vet took plenty of time with our pup and made sure he was comfortable. Lots of good explanations from the vet and overall the price was extremely reasonable compared to the last vet we used. A fecal analysis was around $40 compared to my last vet who charged $160 for the same thing. From this initial visit I give them a thumbs up.

We always have a great experience with your team even when we are going in for surgeries or not the diagnosis you want to hear. The care is exceptional and genuine. The quality and thorough time taken to explain and answer questions is very much appreciated. My dog gets excited the minute we pull into the parking lot no matter how many times she has to have something removed. That I think says a lot.

I usually don’t post reviews for things but this team is a lifesaver (literally)! Love them soooo much! My god, I had just gotten back from vacation and noticed my bunny was being sluggish and not himself. And as some rabbit owners know, it is really difficult to find clinics/vets that take rabbits since they are considered exotic animals. Due to the heat reaching over 80 degrees my bunny stopped eating and using the bathroom which is a very bad sign. After my regular doctor wasn’t able to see him and spending 3 hours on the phone calling clinics across King county to see who could take my bunny THAT day WITHOUT an appointment I was able to get in touch with Lien animal clinic who takes rabbits AND does urgent care! Perfect!!!! Dr. Wolf and her team were able to see my bunny and diagnose him between the 2 and a half hours from when I dropped him off and picked him up. My bunny was literally about to die and they saved his life. My interaction with them from beginning to end was phenomenal. They have great customer service, the doctor checked in with me during each step of my bunny’s treatment to make sure I knew what was going on, explained in great detail what was happening to him and what I needed to do to care for him, AND called and e-mailed me in the following days to see how he was doing. This team has great communication and if it wasn’t Dr. wold checking in another very well informed doctor checked in with me. They are he best!

They're thorough, patient and generally good humored. :-) Once, during a health scare, as in my pup was occupying every other thought in the course of the day and nite, I could not have been more grateful for Dr. Woof and her assistant. They know 'fur family values' through and through. You know what I'm talking about. Yep, they know the parents/guardians of their patients would pretty much die for them and they know its not your fault. Dr Kraabel spent many years keeping my mom’s beloved but medically complex dogs Gracie and Duffy happy and comfortable. Dr Wolf has treated my cat Noodles in person and via telemedicine, we are very grateful for the prompt and thorough care even in these circumstances. I’ve been taking my dog here since I brought him home, and have received great care from the facility. They are friendly, have great COVID policies, and most of the practitioners will call DURING the exam and walk you through it. It would be great to do a FaceTime call to see the doctor and assistant and your dog as they exam them, but maybe something to work toward and look forward to. I bought the puppy package, and have only paid for one exam fee-which I thought was strange. So get clarification on what is included in the puppy package prior to purchase to know what you are receiving. I thought Dr. Wolf to be rather cold and impersonal compared to her colleagues, Dr. D and Dr. Siepel. I had concerns about paw chewing-everything else regarding his behavior is normal. And she insisted on addressing his non-issue potty training “because it works so much better, and her dogs do it.” As a health care professional, I understand offering advice and a variety of solutions when a behavior is concerning. But I felt that her comments were rather insulting and insinuating that the routine I have set up for my dog was “less than.” Impeccable bedside manner can make or break an experience with a patient and their families, and I was disappointed with her communication. Dr. D and Dr. Siepel are absolutely incredible. Both have called while performing the exam, answered all my questions and have met me personally while retrieving my pup. I so appreciate their dedication to all of the animals, quality care, and exceptional customer service. I always feel very comfortable leaving my little guy in their hands!

We've been bringing our pets there for about a year and a half. We came to them the first time because our rat was very ill. They treated us with nothing but compassion and empathy when we had to put him down. They allowed us to hold him while they gave him the injections. They treated us just as kindly when his brother passed away a few months later. They've also treated our cats extremely well and listened to our concerns about them, whether it's related to health or behavior. One of our cats actually enjoyed his visit there because of all the friendly attention he got from the vet and the assistants. While our others weren't as thrilled to be there, they were treated with the same compassionate care and attention. One great thing about the vets at Lien is that they aren't afraid to talk about cost. They're up front with their fees, and they're willing to listen and work with your financial concerns. They don't take payments, but they will advise the best course of action based on your financial situation. They could have pushed us for an expensive treatment for our cat's urinary tract infection, but instead they advised a more cost-effective, conservative course of treatment (which ended up working fine). The clinic's schedule is definitely more convenient than other vets as well. The only quibble I have is that a couple of members of the front desk staff can be a little abrupt when checking out, but that has never spoiled the experience for me.

The Vets I’ve worked with here are exceptional. They have been caring and straightforward with us about our pets’ care. We trust them with our fur children. I was very scared to have my cat undergo surgeries, but was reassured when I knew he was under the capable hands of Dr. Seipel and Dr. Wolf. I wouldn’t take my beloved pets anywhere else.

We followed our vet to this practice and its truly a great clinic. Its a bit of a drive for us but its worth it for quality care. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. Our pups get very stressed at the vet (like most) and they do everything they can to acclimate themselves with our pups to help ease their anxiety. Incredibly friendly and caring vet. We have 2 dogs which go to Lien for all their medical needs. Both dogs are a little difficult to deal with but Lien does an amazing job of calming them down and proving them with excellent care. Highly recommend.

I was there to see the dental hygienist for my cat. Check in was speedy and efficient. I only waited about five minutes before they took my pet and returned in 20 minutes as promised. Check out was quick and efficient as well. The clinic seemed reasonably busy with a steady flow of clients with cats and dogs. Since I was not there to see the veterinarian specifically I cannot comment on that level of treatment. Bottom line I was very pleased with the efficiency and speed of the clinic.

I LOVE Lien Animal Clinic. I have been going there for a couple years now and they are always super accommodating. My dog is very reactive around other dogs so going to the vet is a really challenging experience for us. The staff at Lien always work with me to make sure we get in and out of the office in a manner that works for my dog's training program. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. They're always willing to try to squeeze you in last minute and the staff has been so friendly. I saw multiple vets here and was happy with each one. I did one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and put down my cat of 20 years and I couldn't ask for a more supportive environment. They made a house call and helped her pass peacefully. I got a card in the mail signed from all of the doctors who took care of my cat and many of other employees. I can't recommend them enough

Our pibble mix had some growths on her for years. At least 3 vets pretty much thought they weren’t a big deal. When one of them started swelling, we decided to try a new clinic. Lien Clinic’s Dr. Seipel ran a couple tests and a biopsy, and it turned out that our pup had a pair of tumors. We decided to go through with process of getting them removed. Our dog went through a lot. (So did we.) Multiple appointments and a lengthy surgery. Everybody at Lien Animal Clinic took great care of her. (She actually likes going there for visits, especially seeing her favorite Vet Tech Cherokee.) Dr. Seipel and the team saved her life. We’ve found our permanent veterinary clinic.

When my kitty started drinking more and peeing more, I knew something was up. I hadn't established a new vet since I moved to Burien but had read nothing but great reviews for Lien Animal Clinic, so I scheduled an appointment. Dr. Wolf was kind, personable, and knowledgeable, and I liked the way she spoke to and handled my cat. That stuff's important. The labwork showed hyperthryoidism and Dr. Wolf has us on a treatment plan that we hope will end up being curative. I'm extremely pleased with the service I've received from everyone I've interacted with thus far at Lien. I especially appreciate being emailed my cat's full lab results rather than just being given a diagnosis over the phone. I love the doctors and vet assistants at Lien!! The online appointment system is great. They get right back to us by email and/or phone. We live on Vashon and they do their best to accommodate our scheduling needs. I also like that they print us itemized estimates/costs for care BEFORE treating our animals so that we are not surprised by how much we will have to pay. And, I am happy that they are a less expensive option than the clinic on Vashon. The only downsides to Lien are the size of their parking lot and that their only payment plan option is Care Credit. Otherwise, I am so grateful for all they have done for our 4 pets! Oh...and I love their extended/evening hours. Thank you Lien doctors and staff!

My most recent visit was with Dr. Wolf who was very sweet and though my boy didn't need anything as it was just a check up it was still a great visit. Also shout out to the wonderful front-office staff and vet-tech for doing a great job as well. Overall a fantastic location and I'm happy to bring my cat or any other pets I may have in the future here.

We have brought two generations of our feline family to Lien Animal Clinic. They are open 7 days a week so it is easy to get an appointment and they are always on time. They care for you animal family like they would for your human family. And in worst case scenario, when it is time to say good bye no one could be more sensitive. They light a candle in the waiting room letting people know someone is saying goodbye to a dearly loved pet. They do this to ask those in the waiting room to please be quiet out of respect. Then everyone at the clinic sends a condolence card that they all sign. Very moving.

Our furbabies include rats and cats and the clinic has always treated both with the same amount of care and love. My friend and companion Jack the friendly dog developed a lack-of-mobility issue in his hindquarters. It gave me a fright - Jack had a serious hip injury at age 1, now 12 years ago. I was concerned he might be done walking much. The vet at Lien worked him over, first lightly and, as Jack expressed no discomfort, fairly aggressively - more than I would have had courage to do - and more than Jack would have tolerated from me. The diagnosis was age and probably a little arthritis. Great relief on my part and great respect for Lien. They have served me well for more than 20 years.

He’s an anxious rescue and gets nervous in unfamiliar situations. Staff: Very kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable! This was my first time visiting but they made me feel like I was already a “regular.” The Vet Tech (Nicole I think it was) and Veterinarian (Tom) were so gentle and loving toward my kitty, whom took in for anxiety. I loved that Tom started to use his last name and then quickly switched so we could be on a first name basis and that, to me, says a lot. Insurance: Lien is partnered with Trupanion, my kitty’s medical insurance company. This means my insurance company can pay Lien directly for my bill at the tome of visit, and that saves me a ton of money out of pocket up front. (I had to pay my bill this first go around since she was a first time client but I can do this in the future). Why 4 Stars? The cost of the exam fee here runs $30-$45 more than where I was going previously. The only reason I switched in spite of cost is convenience (Lien is literally right next door vs a 20 min drive). Despite this, I will continue to come to Lien given their kindness and compassion and knowledge are excellent (and we’re neighbors), and that’s what’s important.

These guys used to be my go-to vet. Treated all my animals well and were exceptionally kind when it came time to let them go. We were living abroad from 2018-2020 and when we returned noticed some unfortunate changes: * Calls for important test results (e.g. does my dog have cancer?) were not returned for days on end. * Early morning drop-off appt. Called at 2:30 for status and found that my girl was left sitting in a kennel for most of the day without having eaten, and was "next in line" to be treated. * I lost a prescription (for incontinence) and called to grab a couple of pills until we could order a refill/replacement. The tech said we'd have to wait 24-48 hours to fill the request. Anyway, it's not the place that it once was. The front office seems badly understaffed, stifled by bureaucracy, and I'm sure are not having an easy time of it - which shows through on their customer interactions.

I very highly recommend Lien Animal Clinic for their expertise, thoroughness, open and prompt communication, love for animals, respect and empathy for families. They are honest and direct about veterinary care priorities and pricing. I make informed decisions without sales pressure nor guilt. Lien has an exceptional network. When our cat, Lilly, needed emergency surgery last year, and Lien was booked, they referred and coordinated care with Seattle Veterinary Specialists (SVS), another excellent establishment. By the time Lilly and I arrived at SVS, Lien had already shared their diagnosis and x-rays. Their smooth coordination made a painful, stressful situation a little easier, pre-and-post-operatively. For this visit, took Lilly, who's five or six, for a non-surgical dental cleaning, which I didn't know was possible. It definitely depends on the cat! This would not have worked with one of our prior felines, who was a "kennel tiger". This visit was reasonably priced and provided necessary information for future dental care. While that will be more costly and will require anasthesia, I feel reassured and able to prepare better. Thank you, again, Lien!

I took my newly adopted adolescent cats in for a well-check and their final set of vaccinations. The staff was friendly, the clinic clean, and they appeared to handle animals well. More on that later. I'm not originally from Seattle, and I experienced some serious sticker shock. Their prices seem to be in line for the area, though. The main reason I'm not giving the clinic five stars is that they did not let me be present or even observe from a distance when they vaccinated the cats. They take animals into a central area to administer vaccinations. OK, I can see that that might be more efficient, make it easier to keep track of medications, keep things clean, or whatever, but when they took the cats out they pulled the exam room door to, leaving me inside. So I re-opened the door and stood, still inside the exam room, to watch. They told me to go back inside and over to the other side of the exam table (out of the line of sight.) At least they didn't close the door again. What's up with that? There shouldn't be anything going on that they aren't OK with me observing. When I remarked on this to my other pet-owning friends, they didn't see anything unusual about it. Well, it was a first for me in 35 years of taking pets for veterinary care in several major US cities. Long story short, I haven't been back.

I recently adopted a dog and as new patient the wait is long (if your pet doesn’t have a medical condition that needs immediate attention) but they do a great job to triage and make appointments as soon as posible, everyone is super attentive they have great communication and during the checkup they address all questions and symptoms over the phone providing great information.
