We have been coming here for years now. We have had three dogs undergo surgery that were all successful. 2 of the surgeries were high risk, but they did an incredible job. They were able to send us pictures of our dogs when they had to stay overnight, and truly took great care of them. All of our dogs scars healed perfectly. Definitely the only clinic I would trust my dogs life with.

Best vets ever. I took my foster kitten to three other good vets in the valley in two weeks and vca did whatever they needed to do to find a solution for the little guy and never gave up on him. They checked in multiple times a day and were so sweet. They have a lot of Dr's here that they are able to bounce ideas off of each other as well. HIGHLY recommend this vet.

I’ve started going to willow creek in the last few months after having too many poor experiences at my previous vet. I got a second dog who came home with a limp and that vet was wildly unhelpful so I found willow creek. They told me it could be an acl issue and referred me to a specialist where I was able to get that figured out for her, which the previous vet did not do. I’ve had great experiences with both vets I’ve met with at willow creek, and all of the vet techs and front desk staff as well. They always feel very relaxed and conversational when meeting with me which is refreshing and appreciated !

My dog was having a very serious medical issues. After being turned down at my regular vet and facing unknown hours of waiting at any of the SLC ER vets…I decided to call this location as it is fairly close to my home. They were able to get me in right away. They were very kind and compassionate in the difficult situation that we were in. They were able to end his suffering quickly and with dignity and respect for my dog, myself, and my husband. I will forever be grateful for that.

I've haved used Willowcreek for well over 13 years. I miss Dr. Holley, but there are other capable vets. Sadly, I feel that vet care is out of reach for so many people which leads to abandonment, lack of care or people just not adopting pets when they typically might. This isn't an issue with Willowcreek alone, it's everywhere.

I took my dog into Willow Creek for a routine check, Jenna picked her up to take her in, she was so friendly and nice I knew right away this would be a great place just from her pleasant attitude and professionalism. Dr Barney did a great job examining my dog and after a quick phone call explained a few concerns he had, we agreed it would be best to do a full blood panel which thank goodness came back clear. He explained everything in detail and made me feel so comforted after quite a scare. I will definitely be taking my dog here for any future appointments!!

Dr. Aaron Barney has been our veterinarian for many years. He has cared for two of our beloved dogs over a span of time. We received extraordinary care & we would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Barney. Our dog recently passed away & his compassion was really exceptional. Our beloved pet lived a long & happy life due to having great veterinary care. My kitty Bella started squinting in one eye a few days ago. I called to schedule a new patient appointment and they managed to get me in early the next morning. Bella got to see Dr. Mitchell. Even with all of the craziness with Covid19, she still took fantastic care of her. They had her in and out in under 30 minutes for a full checkup. The bill was super reasonable too between the visit and ointment for her eye. The staff was super sweet. Thanks Dr. Mitchell! She is a very happy kitty now that she's back home!

Back in august of 2020, two baby rabbits were brought into my care. They were too young to be away from mom. One of the rabbits, a girl named Littlefoot, was really small and losing a lot of her fur quickly. I took Littlefoot to 5 different vets before I found Dr Ahlstrom. Dr Ahlstrom was able to figure out what was wrong, more than “malnutrition” like the other vets said. She got meds for Littlefoot that day, and she immediately started getting better. Jump forward to Oct 2021… Littlefoot’s brother and litter mate, Spike, ended up with GI stasis. I called around to so many emergency vets in the middle of the night - none of which taking in rabbits. I was able to get Spike in with Dr Ahlstrom early the next morning. She was so kind, so gentle and so understanding of both the stress on Spike and on me. She has been nothing but helpful for me and my bunnies, and I’m 99.99% positive that if it weren’t for Dr Ahlstrom… my bunnies wouldn’t be here, and be as healthy as they are. We are eternally grateful for Dr Ahlstrom and the Willow Creek team

I want to thank Willow Creek Pet Center! They have been a great place to go to get help with medical issues for my pets. Recently I had to put my dog to sleep, and even though Willow Creek Pet Center didn't do the euthenization they were thoughtful enough to send a floral arrangement with a sympathy card. I normally take my dogs to Willow Creek and adore our vet. But this morning I called to get my two dogs in, and I was told that our Vet couldn't see them until end of March. I said can I not get them in anytime this week? She asked me if this was an emergency or what "I" thought was an emergency. I then was told I could call back and see if we can get them in tomorrow under an emergency. She said they were too busy for us.

Vetranarians have an extremely difficult job, take care of your animal and please you. Sometimes that is not an option, and I can't imagine what it must feel like to tell a pet owner not so wonderful news putting a difficult decision in the hands of the owner. Dr. Mitchell did an astounding job in both areas, and we are grateful to her for never giving up on our baby Abby, or my family.

I took my moms cat in to this vet for her one day and after my visit, I instantly changed my pet care to this center as well. The vets here REALLY care and will take the time to break down the ins and outs of any care your pets needs and why they need it. I’ve never felt more educated on my pets health than when I’ve gone here. Dr. Ferreira is who I’ve worked with and she is the very best I’ve ever been to. It’s also not much more expensive than anywhere else I have been either. I will only bring my pets here going forward

We just moved to Utah with our two fur babies that are our whole world. We did a bunch of research looking for a place to board our pups that would be able to accommodate their special needs and keep them safe and happy. VCA was the only place that offered everything we needed. Our boy is on am/pm medication and is quite the worrier, and our girl is also on medication and is not dog friendly with many other personality challenges. Our pups were safe, happy, got their medication as needed and overall enjoyed their stay. We got the TLC package and the daily updates were just what I needed to keep my worries at bay. We picked them up and they were happy and loved the kennel techs that brought them out to us. After we got home they settled right into their routine and took great naps. They are clean and in great spirits. Amazing experience, highly recommended for the nervous pup parent unsure about boarding their babies. 🐾 🐶

Always love my time at VCA Willow Creek Pet center. They have treated many of my pets. Their prices are reasonable. Location is fabulous. Their front desk people are always kind and receptive. I love the drive up option. Dr Barney is the vet I prefer to visit. He is kind and encouraging each time I visit. I would and have recommended to anyone and everyone. Their grooming services are great. Their boarding is fantastic and puppy day care is fun. They have a dog socialization class which is great for young puppies and old. They have it all!

I have been coming to Willow Creek pet center for about 10 years. I have 2 cats and and they have both have health issues. It takes a lot of stress off my shoulders knowing that the vets and staff will do everything possible to keep my pets healthy and happy. I would definitely recommend Willow Creek pet center to anyone looking for a high quality vet for a reasonable price. Our vet, Dr. Simmons is very knowledgeable and treats her patients as if they were her own. She is very patient and takes the time to explain everything going on with your pet and makes sure your comfortable with the treatment and how to administer the medications. I couldn’t be happier with Willow Creek and there staff.

i am shocked to read all the negative reviews on this place! i have a chihuahua/pug mix who ingested one of my prescription Adderall and i brought him in at 11:30 at night and they were phenomenal with him, they told me he had gotten into some recreational drugs so i did not make the connection to my prescription drugs right away, i kept telling them no, he was not exposed to any recreational drugs until my friend pointed out that my prescription was amphetamines and thats when it hit me and i was able to tell them exactly what he got! Even though they suspected he had gotten illegal drugs, they never treated me with anything but the utmost respect. I was so upset i called them at 530am to check on him and they told me how he was doing and said i could come see him anytime. When i arrived to visit him, they brought me into the back rooms where he was in a cage and they let me hold him and pet him and he was still pretty.whacked out on the adderall but they had him on iv fluids and i was able to pick him up that night and he was back to his old self again. i couldnt be happier with their services. i was pretty freaked out when i brought him in and everyone was kind and professional and sincere. i recommend them to everyone. i never saw or heard anything that made me concerned about the quality of care my dog was receiving, i did see caring professionals dealing with very emotional situations and handling them with calm and sincere responses. I was so impressed with the people who worked the graveyard shift i brought them 2 dozen crispy creme donuts to say thank you!. i wonder if people have considered what a difficult job these people have and the volume of emergency situations they deal with every day and night. i know i personally couldnt handle the stress or the emotions involved when someone is looking to you to save their beloved pet. It is a huge responsibility and i think the staff takes their jobs very seriously. They saved my dogs life and i would not hesitate to take my Rico there again. Thank you again Willowcreek staff!

I literally cannot believe how amazing this clinic is. I took my rat in for surgery to have a mass removed and Dr. Kim knew exactly what she was talking about which is pretty rare inmy experience when it comes to pet rats as they are considered exotic animals. She gave me very detailed information about the surgery process and she reassured me that she had done many of these surgeries in the past and they were successful (it’s always scary when your pet has to get put under as they can’t regulate their body temps like humans can, especially a tiny rat!). After the surgery she called me herself to tell me how it went and how my rat was doing and gave me a time to come and pick her up. She gave me detailed instructions of how to care for my rat post surgery. She also sent me home with a long sheet of neatly typed out instructions for the medicine, potential side effects to watch out for, what my rat may act like after the surgery, how to spot if she is in pain, the list goes on and on. She even gave me a call a couple of days later to check up on me and my rat to make sure everything was ok! The cost of the surgery and all the medication was over $100 lower than she had originally quoted me as well which is always a nice surprise. The front desk staff and the vet tech that helped me were also very friendly and kind throughout the entire process. I can’t recommend this clinic and Dr. Kim enough.

We needed an emergency vet visit and these guys did a great job. They got our poor dog in hours faster than anywhere else quoted us, and were still substantially more affordable than the places that were going to make us wait!! Their diagnosis was spot on (we confirmed with our regular vet once we could get an appointment) and they didn't try to trump up the bill with random testing or extra diagnostics that we didn't need. Our poor puppy is doing much better now after following the treatment they prescribed, and their staff was really nice. We'll definitely visit them again, but here's hoping we won't need them!!

For cats, this place and the vets are very kind and have the most awesome care! However, some of the front staff come off as a bit condescending and rude. I appreciate the work they do and the stress they are under dealing with distraught owners, but that's exactly the point. Being rude to owners who are worried (I have both experienced this in person and over the phone) really worsens and doesn't help either party. I think it would be great to re-train or reach out to the front team to just be a bit kinder because just as we don't know how their day has been, they don't know how the people coming in have been or is going through. Besides that, I do love this clinic (just be prepared to have tough skin)!

Look as far as pet hospitals go, most the doctors and staff are very professional and knowledgeable. I never have taken my pets here and been concerned about the care they will receive or attention. However they have a few plans they offer one of which is a preventative care package for dogs. I have called numerous times over the course of 10+ months to cancel this plan. And every time I call they say that the plan is showing as cancelled and that a manager will look into it and call me back. And every time no one ever calls me back and the next month I am charged again. At this point they have stolen 300$+ from me by failing over and over to cancel the plan that they keep saying is cancelled. At this point i'm just going to talk to the bank and see what my options are for forcing them to pay me back even if I have to take it to small claims court. The complete lack of effort put in by the staff to ensure my account is being taken care of has forced me to leave a poor review at a facility I otherwise would probably recommend for serious care. Edit: updating review now that the issue was taken care of, as stated at the start staff are great with your pets and up until now I had never had an issue so altering star rating to reflect that.

I've used VCA Willowcreek for over a decade. They have mostly terrific vets and kind, efficient office staff. I appreciate Dr Simmons' empathetic, wise evaluations and professional advice. Grooming is also excellent. On occasion, I've successfully used them for 'pamper package' boarding, and our little dogs come home happy and healthy. For great care, however, owners should anticipate high fees and a bit longer wait time at drop off and pickup. You can't be in a rush, or you'll become irritated. For a handsome price, they do provide a dog taxi, which is nice if you're disabled or just too busy.

First time here because the other two vets we went to couldn't diagnose our pet's issue. Within hours our pet was in semi-emergent surgery, which we think saved her life. They were very good to work with and the vet kept us informed every step of the way. Very knowledgeable and professional. I feel like our pet was in good hands throughout the entire process and overnight. Will definitely recommend them to others. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review was because of the cost. I thought it was a little high.

Fantastic! We moved states and I needed to find a new vet. I met with 2 other places before visiting this one. Staff is friendly, facility is clean, and the doctor we met with was attentive and knowledgeable! They offer pet training, which we signed up for later in March, and grooming. My dog is a tad terrified of being brushed and groomed but he came out looking fantastic and they loved having him. This is a great place to bring you pet!

Whoever is in charge of the hiring knows exactly what to look for & has nailed it. The staff is extremely caring & knowledgeable. Having to do vet visits over the phone without going into the building with my cat is not fun, but they make it super easy here. They describe everything clearly, and offer the same attentiveness and customer support as if you were there in-person. The only “drawback” is the price—receiving care here is on the more expensive side. With that being said, you are paying for high quality care.

I recently adopted a beautiful brown tabby at the Salt Lake County shelter. I was looking for a vet and chose Willow Creek Pet Center in Cottonwood Heights. I’m very pleased with the facility and the staff members there. As a new client, I appreciated that the veterinarian was on schedule and took the time to explain her plan to treat my pet for kennel cough. She also told me about the best way to position Lucy’s food and water bowls so that her whiskers don’t get in the way when she eats. Who knew that was important?? Even better was the fact that they are offering free exams for new patients and are able to fill prescriptions right there. Bottom line? Lucy and I are thrilled! Cynthia B.

This clinic has been in business for many years and definitely knows their stuff. I have trusted them with all my pets and they have done a fantastic job. I also LOVE their dog training classes!!! Price is very reasonable and I have always been impressed with the trainers and classes. These guys love the pets as much as the people and that is very important to me! We love Willow Creek!!!

After having an absolutely horrendous experience at a Utah (County) vet clinic, I drove the extra miles up to Willow Creek Pet Center to have the dewclaws removed from 7 new puppies. I can't quite explain what a relief it was to be treated by friendly, capable, caring individuals. The staff greeted me and promptly recognized that I had 7 young pups. They took no time at all getting me back to a clean room...away from the waiting area (which can be quite stressful to a mother dog with new pups). I was waited on immediately by the tech...who was kind, compassionate and listened to my concerns. The vet was able to come in the room and explain all that he would be doing...including a quick exam on all pups and mom. The staff brought each pup back one by one to the room after the procedure. They allowed the mother dog to nurse the pups and did not rush getting us out. The front staff even came into the room and did the whole check-out in the exam room so that I didn't have to juggle mamma dog and puppies again in the waiting room. This clinic has helped take care of my dog for the last 3 years, and after having such a drastically different experience at another clinic....I can firmly continue to stand by my support of this business. In the end, this clinic was also $35 dollars cheaper and their service was above and beyond my previous experience from just 2 days earlier. I will continue to make the extra drive to use this clinic because of the exceptional care they give the animals (and people!) they serve.

I LOVE Willow Creek!!!! We had to put one our dogs down last year after hours and they were so kind and understanding during our difficult time. They even sent us flowers and a card!! We live in Draper and make the trip to take our dogs there because of their outstanding service and knowledge. They're friendly, professional and have genuine compassion for your pet. I have been bringing my dog to this vet since he was 8 weeks old. The staff here is always friendly and treat my dog well. Their team of veterinarians identified a heart condition my dog had at a very young age so we could medicate it early. This is also where we did puppy classes for him and where he gets groomed. The staff here is courteous and caring. You can really tell they have your pets best interest in mind but are transparent about their procedures so you're not left wondering what just happened. We've been bringing our dog here since she was a puppy and even though the ownership has changed the staff is still wonderful. While the individual Docs remain very good, the process, customer service, wait times, dog hold times, have all consistently declined as prices have sky rocketed...maybe the new reality under what feels like a VCA near monopoly. I miss the old Willow Creek!

I've been going here for years with my two dogs and two cats. This was the family vet growing up as well. I love that everything is always clean and that the staff are very friendly, especially the reception staff. Having 4 pets means you need a good vet and for me that's Willow Creek. I've had pretty much every pride cure known to dog done at Willow Creek and my boys always come home feeling relaxed. On top of having great service and awesome care, their dog training facility is good too. I've only used it for fun (agility training for my Sheltie) but he had a blast. It was fun to bond with him that way.

I was looking to switch vets and was recommended Willow Creek...thank goodness! This is a beautiful facility with a wonderful staff. They worked well with both my animal and my anxiety issues and made our appointment quick and efficient. First vet I have been to that made a whole game plan for my dogs condition and what we will do after each step to recovery. Amazing place and we wont be switching any time soon!

This is a very nice, very clean and very friendly staff and the doctors are great. I took my puppy Snowflake here and we had a great experience. They even set us up with a puppy starter pack thing with shots, nail trims, grooming and a bunch of other dog stuff for a super reasonable cost (about sixty dollars per round of shots). Absolutely recommend you take your animal here.

I'm not usually one to leave reviews - but I absolutely love Willow Creek! The facility is really nice, the staff are above and beyond friendly, and prices are extremely reasonable. They have amazing amenities when we have to board our dog - like complimentary baths, and a service where they send you a photo and text from your dog every day while you're away! After each stay, they print out a few photos for you, along with a little bag of treats for the road, and a report card on your dog's performance during their stay! Plus, they are excellent at sending you friendly reminders when your pet is due for their next visit. I cannot say enough good things about their service. They really care about your pets!

I think the vet service is great. But customer care needs a little help. When you call you get the option to leave a message. When you are waiting in the parking lot you get a long hold. I bet adding two phone lines, one additional support staff, devising a way to leave a text, or announcing an email would help. The vets and techs are wonderful. But its horrid to sit so long waiting in 101° heat.

They provide exceptional care and have a very caring staff. We have plenty of experience with vets, both emergency and non-emergency as our epileptic and mischievous dog required plenty of care and treatment. Late in his life, we transferred over to Willow Creek and we are so glad we did. The service and level of attention was beyond what we had been accustomed to at the other clinic. Unfortunately, his health issues were too much for his old body, and we had to euthanize him. However, the staff at Willow Creek made that difficult decision more bearable with their genuine and heartfelt support. I really felt that our Ben was in good hands while he was there. They took care of him with expertise and sincere compassion...so much so that Ben seemed almost eager to go to the back the second time we took him in to board him. I would highly recommend this facility.

I have been using the services at Willow Creek for 5 years, now. From veterinary care to the utterly compassionate, respectful and painless release of my dear Annie to the heavens above at 14.5 years old, Willow Creek staff and facilities have been remarkable. Most recently, I have been using their Stay and Play and boarding services -- fantastic service for dogs who love social interaction and activity!! The front desk staff and Stay n' Play staff are always super friendly and positive. Several staff know my little dog and me by name when I walk through the door… which makes it feel like a home away from home for my little rescue rover dog :)

They decided to cancel the Wednesday 7:15pm Pet Conditioning and make up class but didn't even go as far as putting a 'class canceled' sign on the back entrance door. 3 different people with pets waiting out back for someone to open the door... Very irresponsible for a business.

All charges were explained to me before my dog’s surgery and I was given a detailed list of what was required for surgery, as well as optional add ins to help make an informed decision so there were no surprises at check out. We have 2 cats and one English Bulldog. All of them go to Willow Creek. We have gone in with emergency situations, regular check ups, boarding, puppy kindergarten and grooming. We've been very pleased with all services. The facility smells nice and is clean, everyone...including other patrons...are relaxed and happy which make for a comfortable and less stressful visit. It is very hard on our cats, probably all cats, to take a car ride, be confined and go to a strange place. Of course, our Bulldog loves it there. She is happy, happy, happy....

Willow Creek Pet Center was our vet's office for nearly 2 decades when we lived in Sandy, Utah. And even after we moved out of the state we would return there for doggy daycare, boarding,and vet services when needed during a visit. In the time that we used their services, which were primarily routine vet care, boarding and grooming, we were always treated with respect and efficiency. Their staff was always very kind, caring and patient with our mini schnauzers no matter what our visits required. The facility was clean and well organized, and their boarding kennels were spacious. Their fees were very reasonable and their hours very flexible. When the time came to say goodbye to our beloved Liebe, we were all treated with the utmost compassion. We highly recommend Willow Creek Pet Center.

Had a great experience today with Dr. O! She was able to quickly determine what is going on with my kitty, she took the time to thoroughly describe the issue, what is needed to treat it, and what other outcomes we may be facing down the road. It was so nice to get information to help put the issue into context and have a chance to ask questions. Although I want to make this a positive review about Dr. O, the other vet we saw a couple of weeks ago was quick to jump to conclusions, had no absolutely no patience for my questions, and then slapped a estimate for treatment down in front of me to sign for close to $2000. It is scary and a difficult decision to make to leave your cat for a few days treatment you hardly understand, especially with the high price tag. Hoping it was just an off day for her and not her norm.

Although they were quite expensive as it was a weekend emergency visit, I was grateful they were straight with me about my girl's condition so I could make an informed decision on how to proceed. Total 5 STARS. I love, love, love Willow Creek and so does our fury 7 month sweetheart. We started at Willow Creek doing puppy play time (we are regulars, we love it, our pup LOVES it. And Kris is the absolute BEST!!!) Before long we were doing puppy kindergarten which was a great experience. Before we knew it we changed vets and now our puppy goes here for her vet services. Dr. Madsten (I think that's his name!) has been our favorite vet so far. He's been so willing to sit with us and answer any questions. He was so good with my dog. There's also been a few times I've had to call to ask questions about different things since my dog seems to be a bit accident prone and illness prone and they always get me on the phone with a vet tech and answer questions without complaint. I've also been able to get in on the same day I've called for an appointment due to their extended hours. I haven't had my dog groomed there just because I found another groomer I really love but I heard they are excellent in that area as well! All in all, Willow Creek is a pet and pet lover's dream. Highly recommend!!!

I did just call in with some follow-up questions and my Dr was out today. The vet tech, Elise, was so kind and helpful on the phone and talked me through some suggestions to try. I love this clinic, and so does my sweet dog! I rescued a Yorkie a few months ago and when I got her she had horrible teeth, was malnourished and very scrappy. The staff at Willow Creek did an excellent job spaying her (her scar is so small and healed perfectly!) as well as deep cleaning her teeth and giving her a bath. She is very timid and shy, but they always are gentle and loving with her. I feel comfortable calling the clinic for even the smallest question, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend taking your pet to this clinic, they are wonderful!

We've been taking our dogs here since before their fancy remodel, and way before they we bought out by VCA. Until about this time last year, we've never had a bad experience. They've always been on the pricier side, but the veterinarians, as well as the front staff made up for it. Now the pricing is outrageous. Around a year ago, our 6 month old puppy was playing to rough and her dew claw was falling off. We took her in for an emergency visit, cause it was bleeding profusely. We ended up seeing Dr. Walters. Instead of taking Olive, in the back to have the techs help restrain her to even just get a look at her foot, she made my husband and me help. People who have literally no training in veterinary medicine as apposed to the vet tech, who have education and training for this stuff! In the struggle to get a muzzle her, her dew claw was ripped all the way off, and still hasn't grown back. She was so so traumatized by this new vet, as well as us. She still wont let anyone touch her feet. They had to put a soft cast of her whole leg, that they then tried to charge freaking $30 to cut off when it was time to remove it. I will never, ever take my dogs to Dr. Walters again. This has really been undery skin for just over a year, and a recent visit reminded me of what an awful experience we had with Dr. Walters. Now, there are only a couple vets that I will make appointments with: Dr. Barney is our go to. If he isn't available Dr. Ostahowski is the only other vet we will see. If they didn't have those two wonderful doctors, and I would give only 1 star. Their training programs are awesome, as well as the instructors. Kris is wonderful and was so patient with our high energy level border collie mix. Dont think we'll go anywhere else for training, but with the recent price increase, we might have to switch to a new vet. If VCA hadn't bought out the clinic, we would still go here for all of our pets visits. VCA really screwed the pooch, pun definitely intended.

My first experience with VCA Willow Creek was because I needed an emergency vet on a sunday after my cat vomitted up blood all over my house. It was later determined that Beanie Boy had stomach cancer and he had to go back to heaven. They were unbelievably caring during such an emotional time. So, from this experience I decided to use them again, this time for my other cat, 10 years old, needing dental care. I took him in for a general assessment and to discuss what it might cost to do a dental workup which I knew would involve extractions. We met Dr. Ahlstrom and she was very agreeable to listening to my financial/budget concerns while also wanting to do what I needed to to care for my cat. That day we did all the blood workup necessary for the future dental visit so that I could have that part of the cost out of the way. Since my cat is exclusively an indoor cat, she did not require a whole slew of shots, just the rabies was necessary, so I saved some money there as well. I scheduled the dental service for February where they gave an extra $50 off (dental month special). I let her know the amount I had budgeted for care, and she called me in the middle of the procedure to discuss what she found and what really needed to be done. I'm a single mom without any child support, so this was important to me. We agreed on a care plan quickly over the phone (after she had carefully assessed all his teeth), one that worked for both the cat's needs and my finances and she moved forward with the procedure. I picked up my cat LiLi that evening and met with her. He had to have 11 teeth pulled, poor little guy. But everything came in within my budget as promised, and actually it was significantly under the max amount I set. I always get a feeling of being well cared for by everyone in their office from the front desk staff to the assistants to the doctor. They communicate very clearly and give clear expectations and their follow-up is awesome too. My cat is doing very well! He's eating like a champ, using his box and grooming himself. I have had nothing but great experiences here and plan to remain a happy customer. I have not used their boarding or grooming services, so cannot comment there (yet). For those who have posted a negative review stating their annoyance about "holding" if their issue wasn't an emergency, I'm shocked! Wouldn't you want someone else to hold if your pet was having an emergency and someone else was just ordering food or a grooming appt? Wow. You guys at VCA keep on being awesome! Don't let the haters get you down!

Lone peaks people make any stressful visits easier and pleasant for both you and your 4 legged family members. They always try to go above and beyond the normal vet experience of wait , you have 5 min for your visit, pay up regimen found in alot of the other pet care facilities around. It's always clean, and their pet items are very reasonably priced and stocked with durable Kong toys no matter what size pet you have. I've always been able to reach either my personal vet, or a vet assistant if there are any questions or emergencies, even after hours. The only thing not positive as with most vets is the inevitable bill at the end. The prices are high but there are programs and wellness plans always available that will ease the pain in your wallet. My little buddy has always been treated like one of the family, so I highly recommend this pet center to anyone looking for more than a 15 min stand before you grab your wallet.

Went here with our Great Dane when he was limping on his left rear leg, we thought it was related to his hips but after x-rays and exam they told us that it was a torn CCL (dog version of ACL) and they recommended we look into surgery. I’m absolutely sure the other groomers are just as good.I’ve seen other dogs come out that look beautiful!!!! But I have to warn you they have New Owners, if you want to leave them a TIP YOU BETTER HAVE CASH ON YOU!!!!! You can’t add it to the credit card!!!!!!!!!! And they have boarding & daycare and every time I come in to pick up Ciji from her grooming, out front at the reception area they have cameras where you can see the dogs in daycare they’re just playing and having so much fun!!!!!! They keep the place very clean it’s a huge place they have a lot to offer people and their four legged family’s!!!!!!!!!! Your pet is never left alone in daycare ever!!!!!!! Plus they have the cameras also. So please check it out these guys are really trained to take care of your pet!!!!!!!!!!! So you’re mind can be at ease not have to worry!!!!!!

We love Willow Creek. We have used them for boarding with 3 of our dogs. The care is great and it is nice to know that the facility is attached to a vet clinic. We also used their emergency pet center when one of our dogs collapsed. She was dealt with immediately and all procedures were explained. Two veterinarians called us with frequent updates and the vet technicians were always happy to answer questions on the phone. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we took her home to spend her last few weeks with us. Even so, the veterinarians thoroughly discussed our treatment options in a compassionate manner and even sent flowers after she passed.

The puppy training classes are terrific! Each of my children has, with a parent in attendance, taken a young dog through the class, and both the humans and the dogs have been much the better for it. Be sure to get to class early, so you are not rushed. Just watching the other dog owners arrive, and seeing how they handle their dogs, is an education in itself, and the teachers from the Willow Creek Pet Center are exceptional.

I've used WCPC since Dr Campbell opened his clinic in the little house where the strip mall sits now on Highland. Having had 6 dogs in WCPC's care since that time, I now use Dr. Barney for any surgeries. I am extremely well pleased with the condition of the kennels.........VERY clean (this cleanliness is very important to me and I've taken a couple tours back there before they bring my dogs out after boarding); the front desk is usually adequately staffed to get checked in and out, and really I have been happy with all the vets there. Tremendous emergency staffing also. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I highly recommend it.

We've only been to this vet a hand full of times for one of our pet rats, and each time their exotics vet has been the most caring person. It's really hard to find a vet that will treat rats (In the Layton/Kaysville area there is only one vet office with an exotics vet) so having some place like this that is open 24/7 for emergencies is awesome. It's honestly worth the extra mileage to get my pet seen here when my usual vet is booked solid.

Overall, I have to give this facility a pretty high rating. Their grooming is amazing and reasonably priced, at least for my small breed dogs. Though, every time they come back from grooming they are EXTREMELY thirsty. I'm not sure if this is a side effect of grooming or if they are not getting enough water while they are there most of the day. I have been impressed with their veterinary practice, as Dr. Bybee didn't try to nickel and dime me and he also didn't put the pressure on for high cost unnecessary procedures, like I have experienced at other vets. He was very sweet with my cat and did his best to make my scared kitty more comfortable. Their exams are also reasonably priced (note: reasonable does not equal cheap, just fair). The one area I will provide a complaint (and why I subtracted a star) is in their reception/admin. While there are a few notable great receptionists at Willowcreek, I have had multiple instances of not great service. I've had them mix up which animal had an appointment many times (including for the same appointment... I got three calls about grooming my cat and how I didn't have all the proper vaccines, when I was getting my dog groomed), not been charged for a service when I should have been, losing the paperwork for a rabies shot that THEY provided and claiming I needed to get my animal vaccinated again, charging my card the wrong amount... I've just been really unimpressed with this aspect of their business. But, like I said, there are a number of very good receptionists/admins here, they are just not consistent. And, arguably, this is not nearly as important as the wonderful health care they have provided my animals. I will definitely recommend Willowcreek to people I know.

These guys were great! The day we left for vacation we found out my sisters dog had parvo and she was supposed to watch my dogs. Willow Creek had no hesitations on taking our pup last minute and ensuring he wasn't exposed to parvo from my sisters puppy. Luckily our baby was just fine and her baby recovered but if it wasn't Willow Creek we would have had to cancel our vacation. They took such great care of our boy and were happy to give me updates the 2-3 times a day I called lol. They were AWESOME!

My yorkie was viciously attacked by a large dog on Easter Sunday. Not only was I thankful that the clinic was open but they had an amazing vet tech at the facility that prepped my poor, bloody, in shock dog so that the vet, Dr. Deborah Holley, could examine him right away. Worse day ever followed by a week of stressful worrying. The staff at Willow Creek was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, especially Dr. Deborah Holley! Dr. Holley and the vet techs saved my dogs life, the staff was always friendly when I called and visited over and over and were genuinely sympathetic. Dr. Holley continually updated me on his critical condition, understood my financial situation and did everything in her power to keep the bill to a reasonable amount. He has severe spinal nerve damage causing partial paralysis from the attack. Instead of giving up we all, especially my dog, fought for his life. I’m forever grateful and my little guy is home recovering, continually improving, and getting TLC.

I've been a client of Willow Creek Pet Center for about 25 years and would never take my pet anywhere else. We started seeing Willow Creek when it was a small clinic and Dr. Campbell was the only doctor. We had a dog that was epileptic and needed a clinic that had 24 hour care. Dr. Campbell has been our vet for 5 dogs now and we've never received anything but excellent care. Our Meisje, that we lost a little over a year ago to lymphoma, had her life extended by almost 2 GOOD years due to the loving and excellent care we all received....we as in Meisje and family. They were always there for us and when it was time to let her go they helped us in such a comforting way. The front desk, techs, doctors and grooming is top of the line. they seemed nice enough on an emergency visit. Unfortuntely one of the issues I brought up did not get checked. Brought in for foxtails and only the ears were done. 4 days later I took my dog to my normal vet and the injury on his paw requires surgery. Shame. He was already put out once this week and it could have all been done at the same time. Now he's gotta go through the process twice and it just sucks.

Dr. Barney and his staff are great. As for the daycare...my dog will never return. This was his first day for doggy day care. Apparently there was another dog with the same name as mine, different breed though. They took my dog gave him vaccinations he already had and is not due for yet, they screwed up because there was another dog with the same name as my dog. I get a call at work stating oh we accidentally vaccinated your dog today. OMG!!!!!!!! I work in the healthcare field, did they not look at the breed, no they did not, did they not realize I was not there with my dog and he was only there for day core, NO. My dog is my world and apparently he had a mild reaction and diarrhea. My dog is only to see Dr. Barney. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE FOR DAYCARE OR BOARDING. I have never been so furious in my life. This proves to me they do not pay attention to detail and what the heck they are doing. Dr. Barney and his staff are awesome, especially LeAnna, but otherwise my dog will never ever return for daycare or boarding. I am completed dumb founded by their mistake. I have no trust in the boarding or day care part of the facility.

I was in Salt Lake City on vacation, and my dog, Barkley, hurt his leg while on a hike. Willow Creek was able to take us in right away, quickly diagnosed his injury as a sprain, rather than a fracture, and got us on our way again with some medication. The vet we saw, as well as the technicians, were all very friendly and helpful and were very gentle with Barkley. I definitely would return to Willow Creek Pet Center and recommend it to anyone who needs a vet in the Salt Lake area.

They won't let you and your pet inside. Need to make an appointment, then park in front. Then you have to call the lobby, and they come and get your pet. The vet calls and asks, what's wrong with your pet. Wait till they call you and tells you what's their diagnosis is. Then they ask, what card are you using. Ten minutes later they bring your pet out. I think it's rubbish that you can't be with pet!

Willowcreek has always been a great place for us to take out cat to but yesterday, we took our hamster in. Unfortunately the hamster did not survive and my daughter was devastated. Dr. Ahlstrom was very understanding and even gave my daughter little feet and hand impressions of her hamster. While a hamster may be insignificant to some, it meant a lot to my daughter. My 5-year-old dog had been having diarrhea for a few days. After he stopped eating we took him to a 24-hour clinic where they recommended expensive x-rays and blood work. We decided to wait and then took him to Willow Creek a couple of days later. They (Dr. Lupo) took a stool sample and prescribed an antibiotic. This fixed the problem, and we were glad that he was all better. *But* they didn't ask before doing the test, they charged us for food and droppers that we didn't need, and when we went back for a refill (I had spilled some of the medicine) they (office staff) charged us for a full bottle after we only requested half. I thought it was maybe just me, but they charged my sister 16 dollars for trimming her dog's nails. (At everywhere else I've been, "Your dog's nails are a little long - would you like me to trim them?" was just something they were doing to be nice.) I'd go back because they're cheaper than other places and they had a more effective approach to my dog's problem, but I'd make sure I know exactly what they're doing and why and how much it will cost. And I wouldn't be afraid to say I don't need something. And just in case you're wondering - I'm not one of those people who will sacrifice my dog's health because of cost. If it came to it, I'd pay all I could to keep him healthy and comfortable, and I'll gladly pay more for better treatment. That's not what I'm complaining about here.

I am only giving 4 stars due to the way Dr Mitchell handled my dog. She cared nothing for his safety and conducted an exam while my husband and I were in the room, she never took him back to get a good look so he wasn't trying to get away from her to get to us. Her tech held my dog so tight he was having a hard time breathing. I will never EVER let her handle my dog and I warn others against her as well. She should get written up for what she did to my dog. We had to take my dog back in because she didn't do a good exam he had to go back in that same day to actually have a good exam to see why his face was swelling up so bad. Dr Ahlstrom was amazing and made my dog feel safe and made us feel better about having to come back in. I will be lodging a formal complaint against dr Mitchell because what she did was disgusting and vile.

Way to over priced and i was charged me for a test that never took place and wanted me to do the dirty work. Around 85 bucks to have my dog bathed and clipped and hve her nails done and what ever else every other groomer does thats included in their cost. I was charged almost 70 bucks for a bath and clip and then another 13 bucks pluss tax to do her nails and stuff. Great place if your animal needs medical attention but way over priced for me we will be going somewhere else from now on.

Anyway, when we moved from Cottonwood Heights to West Valley City, it suddenly seemed like it was a little too far to drive for dog training, so I searched for and tried alternatives, including major pet store chains and group sessions where several people hired the services of a private trainer. Now I'm back with Willow Creek and both my puppy and I are very pleased. It no longer seems too far to drive from WVC to have a well behaved, responsive puppy. The trainers at WCPC have years of experience working with dogs and know the methods that work best. They are enthusiastic about helping you with your puppy and helping him/her succeed in learning the lessons needed. I will never go anywhere else again as long as I have a puppy to raise. This is my go-to boarding facility for my girls. The techs are very nice, and always polite and helpful when I call to check in. I also like the TLC package, where my girls get little upgrades (like a bedtime treat) and *I* get daily pictures texted to me, so that I can see that my girls are alright. They give a discount when you board more than one pet at the same time, and a free bath, as well (I think you have to board for at least 7 nights for that). Anyways, my girls are well taken care of and safe, and always come home clean and happy. That means the world to me.

We brought our 10 year old kitty Bruce into the clinic Monday after he got into lily pollen, as a precaution we opted to put him on fluids for 48 hours to flush any toxins. Things took a turn for the worse, and the vets quickly took X-rays and figured out he had heart disease and fluid came into his lungs. It was a roller coaster week; things got very bad and we were called in to Be by his side. Bruce made major improvements in two days and we were able to bring him back home! This would not have been possible without the expert care of Dr. Ahlstrom and Dr. Ferreira. These doctors not only saves our Bruce's' life but kept us informed and we're very patient with our questions (and emotions) as everything progressed. I am beyond grateful and forever appreciative of the entire team at Willow Creek that worked tirelessly to ensure baby Bruce made it out of this.

Couldn't be more satisfied with Dr. Ferrari and Willow Creek. I took my Chihuahua Papi in yesterday after a large lump showed up on his neck. Everyone was very kind and patient with me and Papi. The doctor examined him and listened to my concerns about not only his health, but my limited amount of money. We left with 3 medications and a plan, all for less money than what I had expected. Dr. Ferrari called this morning and checked up on Papi, what a sweet person she is! We will be back next week to discuss other health problems and follow up on his neck.
