The team at East Valley vet is top-notch. They care and love for Buddy as much as if he was their own. We found them in an emergency situation on New Years Day, when Buddy had a serious arterial bleed from a skiing accident. Even though they weren’t open yet (was early in the morning) and they already had a full day booked, the EVVC team prioritized us and made time for Buddy, and had him in great shape in no time. Every time we’ve gone back, it feels like the very best care we can give to our pup. We’re so grateful y’all are doing what you do - thank you!!

We have been coming here for our new puppy and it has been really great. The vet techs are all super friendly and I mean that doctor Sophie is so sweet and kind. They're super responsive on email and phone calls and they've taken care of us so far. I think the nice part is they are very personable. You can tell they care a lot about your pet and the place seems clean and well attended which means they take care of a lot of fur babies.

I love this vet clinic. They have been our regular veterinary provider for the past 2 and a half years and I am constantly impressed with their professionalism and care. Yesterday, my four-year-old doodle went in for a sedated dental cleaning and I am thrilled with the results. Dr Michelle did an excellent job; his teeth are white and sparkling for the first time maybe ever. On top of that, the staff did a thorough job communicating what needed to happen on my end prior to the procedure and then did an equally thorough job communicating with me throughout the day as my pup moved through the process.

I absolutely adore Dr. Butler at East Valley. I’ve been going to East Valley for many, many years. We’ve now moved to the other side of the Valley - but we’ll make the drive to see Dr. Butler. She’s extremely patient with one of my shy dogs, and will tolerate all the slobber & love of my not so shy dogs. I love her tortoise stories! She loves all animals, hers, and yours. And it’s obvious. I love this clinic! Everyone is very friendly and professional. My dog sees Dr. Wiszynski and she is wonderful. She is thorough but doesn’t push any unnecessary treatments/services. East Valley Veterinary is the best vet I've used in years. In this bizarre pandemic world where it's really hard to get veterinary appointments in less than a month and a half, they've always been able to see my pets in a reasonable time for regular appointments, and their 'drop off' last-minute appointments for urgent needs are extremely helpful and much less expensive than I would expect. Dr. Butler is direct, down to earth, and extremely caring, and I always feel like my pets are in good hands with her. She is sensitive to the price of veterinary care and honest about the scaled options available for treatment. She is thorough in her exams and evaluations and is great at explaining her findings in an understandable way. The other vets we've seen have been equally as attentive, professional, friendly, and forthright. Also, their vet tech staff is top notch! Both of my older dogs can be extremely nervous at the vet and they make them feel extremely comfortable. Highly recommended!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We just needed vaccinations and my dog was comfortable and at ease during the time we were there. Dr. spent time discussing helpful vaccine information. It was our first visit and we’ll return. Our regular vet had a 3 month waiting list and we were able to get in so much quicker at East Valley and I was able to go in with my dog. Absolutely love East Valley Vet! I have been going there for quite a few years and they have treated multiple pets I’ve had. Yesterday, I went in with my elderly cat and waited sometime to see the vet, they were putting another animal down that day :’-(.The vet tech kept me informed throughout the time and was very skilled to run majority of the tests needed. When the vet arrived I didn’t feel like I was the last appointment that day and she spent close to 30 minutes reviewing blood work, giving me plenty of options to consider, and most of all just offered support that I didn’t realize I needed so much. She was a great listener and understood my wants and needs. East Valley will ALWAYS be the vet I choose for all of my animals. Thank you guys for always being so gracious, supportive, and available for us.

Love Dr. Butler and the East Valley Clinic! I was stressed about finding a new vet after numerous frustrating experiences with a downtown vet-who-shall-not-be-named, and East Valley exceeded my expectations and then some. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, patient with my neurotic pet owner concerns, and seemed like they genuinely cared about my dogs. The clinic was clean and the whole experience was very pleasant. On top of all of that, it was extremely affordable! Can't recommend them highly enough!

I went for one reason only but they went out of there way to give me so much advice on how to train my dog. They followed it with sending me links on how up train my dog as well. We used to go to Hillside, but ever since they got bought out by a large corporation, dealing with their practice has just been awful, so we decided to follow Dr Michelle Bartholomew over to East Valley and we’ve never looked back. We have seen Dr Michelle and Dr Sophie over here and both are amazing vets! They take so much time with our dogs at each visit and can get our dogs in on emergency appts if we are having problems. They don’t try to sell you the whole kitchen sink and find ways you can cut costs for your pet care, which is so appreciated. They are a very honest and caring group of doctors at this practice.

Upon our return from a trip, our female dog had a UTI. Within minutes after our call to the clinic, we were able to drop her off and she was put under examination. The veterinarian called us up to give us a diagnosis. Two hours later we were able to pick her up along with some medication. She is doing well thanks to the prompt intervention of the staff.

Dr. michelle was recommended to us by friends. From the scheduling, to the check-in, the vet tech who took the information, and then Dr. michelle herself, was the best experience I’ve had with the veterinary hospital and all of my 60 years. My small rescue dog needed evaluation and a treatment plan so that she could have the best life possible. I could write pages of accolades for E. Valley veterinary Hospital and Dr. michelle. Every question was asked, every option was given. The follow up plan and pricing, and the care and concern was exactly what we wanted and needed. I was treated with respect, I felt my concerns were considered by Dr. michelle and I felt she understood what we needed as a family. Pricing was unbelievably reasonable. I had been quoted $2000. For the testing needed to determine heart, liver, and organ health. The price was 1/4 of that at East Valley. Care Credit is accepted and it made it possible for us to go ahead with the medical evaluation and care that our dog needs. No surprise, I recommend Dr. michelle and East Valley Veterinary Care.🐕❤️

Staff was great, very friendly and kept my pup busy in the waiting room. Visit with the vet felt rushed, she spoke very rapidly and used lots of medical terminology which I luckily understood as I work in healthcare and did a bunch of research before bringing in my new puppy, but would be difficult to understand what the vet was saying otherwise.

This clinic was recommended to me by an acquaintance early this summer. I had an emergency situation with my dog and my regular vet couldn't accommodate my needs for my dog to be seen. I called East Valley and they fit us into their schedule timely. The care and compassion each staff member demonstrated was wonderful! My dog needed surgery and they did a great job, not only on the procedure but on following up on her condition. A few times I got concerned and I texted them for reassurance and their response time to my text was quick. I have since switched to East valley for the routine care of my Dog. I went in yesterday for her yearly check up and vaccines. They remembered her and she was so excited to see everyone. This a 5 start establishment!

would absolutely recommend this clinic to everybody!! the vets, techs, and front desk staff have all been consistently helpful, kind, and willing to go the extra mile for my cat & dog! some things that won me over for real were: -they price fairly and are extremely transparent with the cost of meds/procedures when asked about any details -every member of their staff gives the same amount of care & detail to you and your pets, you will not find someone who will steer you in the wrong direction! -vets & techs are SOOOO patient. my dog is a rescue and she’s super timid and can be quite reactive, but dr. sophie & Hope took all the time in the world to make sure she was comfortable in their care! these guys are the real deal!!

Original: They were able to fit me in quickly as a new patient, for a second opinion on my dogs kidney status. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. I brought my very anxious 2 year old rescue dog to east Valley today for a wellness check. I took extra time to help her feel comfortable, brought her own bed so she felt more comfortable and lots of treat. Michelle got on the floor with her and did the exam on the floor. The staff I was extremely accommodating and helped my girl feel safe by not rushing her along. They even told me I can stop by any time for "happy visits" and they just give her treats and praise.

Easy Valley is a good distance from our home in Bountiful. We usually use a different vet, closer to home. Our 11 year old cat had a broken tooth and was suffering. When we called our vet, they said "maybe they could get her in 2 to 3 weeks". We've done business with East Valley before and found them to be amazing, so we called them. They got our dear cat, Hope, in the very next morning. 2 teeth were removed. They also trimmed her matted winter fur, while she was unconscious. Bonus!! We know that everyone is busy, yet East Valley Veterinary Clinic found a way to see our cat, with her emergency. Our dentist, Dr Hal Pollock recommended his vet when we need help awhile back. East Valley Veterinary Clinic got high praise from us then, and again now. Thanks Dr Pollock for the recommendation, these folks are outstanding.

Life is hard right now and my best friend of 13 years got sick and I was struggling to find a vet I deemed good enough for my furry family… then I found this place. I have very high standards when it comes to vet offices, but the people and the clinic soared above every expectation I had and even gave me new standards of care! I recently visited the clinic for my dog’s annual wellness exam. My dog is approx. 60lbs, an Australian Shepherd mix, about 8 years old. Dr. Kelly and Erin (Tech) were incredible! They were so patient and sweet with my dog, even though they were quite busy they took the necessary time to build some trust with my pet before administering all the vaccines. It went very smoothly! I’ve had other experiences at different clinics where they are in a rush to get it over with and use force to do their job so it was really refreshing to see a kinder and gentler approach that gave both myself and my dog a good experience. Highly recommend!

While taking my puppy for her morning walk she was viciously attacked by two dogs. I called East Valley in hysterics and they went into hero mode. They said to bring her right in. She had a temperature of 107 when we got there. She had lost a lot of blood and I was devastated. It turned out her jaw was broken in two places and she had a tooth cracked in half (along with multiple other puncture wounds). As luck would have it, Dr. Smith a traveling ortho vet had just stopped by for another case. He agreed to operate on Bianca immediately. She had to wear her jaw apparatus for 6 weeks and needed one more surgery for adjustment. I was given cell numbers for both Dr. Smith and Dr. Lynette. They also called and texted regularly for updates. Dr. Smith even made a house call and sat in my closet floor with Bianca for 30 minutes one evening when she was having some problems. I can not even begin to express my gratitude to everyone at East Valley for the care WE BOTH received. I was bracing myself to have to take out a second mortgage or something, but considering what all was done for her I didn't consider the charges out of line. I would highly recommend East Valley for compassionate and knowledgeable care.

We are fairly new to EVVC so I don't want to be too critical. Our experience has been mostly positive thus far. We took our dog to EVVC for an ultra sound and we asked to be "on call" when it would be our turn as our dog gets very anxious when at the vet. He does not handle kennels well so we didn't want to drop him off for an all day visit. The clinic said fine so when the day came and we received the call, we hustled to the clinic for the appointment. When we arrived they took our dog immediately to the back and then returned and told us we could leave. We were confused as the tech on the phone understood our agreement. When we were told the specialist hadn't even arrived, we asked that our dog be brought back to us and we'd wait with him. I'm certain that our dog had been placed in a kennel in the back when it wasn't necessary. The specialist did arrive quickly and the appointment was completed timely. My thoughts are that communication broke down somewhere and we were not handled according to our previous discussions and agreement. Otherwise, the front desk personnel were friendly and tried to accomodate us.

First off I love that all the doctors here are women. I didn’t have to wait and the gals at the counter were so friendly and helpful. . Ida was the tech that helped us and she was so patient and kind. Dr. Sophia helped and she was just as wonderful. They both took my time with little baby to make her feel safe. She is a nervous little girl and I appreciated their kindness. I haven’t found a vet clinic in the past that I would have wanted to call “my vet clinic” Now I have!

Dr. Sophie is by far the best vet we have ever had. She is patient, gentle, and cares so deeply about her patients. My dog loves her which is really extraordinary because she has anxiety and trust issues, and doesn't normally bond with people outside of the immediate household. Dr. Sophie is always just an email away, and spends time to explain and talk with you about whats going on with your pet. The technicians and front desk people are also very kind and receptive, and will do their best to get you the care you need in a timely matter at an affordable price. I will never take my pet anywhere ever again so long as I live in SLC.

We love everyone at east valley vet! They are always willing to help and try their best to fit our dog in when she’s unexpectedly sick! They even call and check in on her after hours when they’re unable to see her in person. They’re so caring and compassionate, one time my dog was vomiting and couldn’t get into the vet so they had me come pick up some nausea medicine to last her until they could see her the next day. They’re great and do their best to take care of our pup!

I've never had anything less than a 5-star experience here. Everyone in the practice is so amazing. I followed Dr. Bartholomew here from her previous practice because she has always taken such great care of my cats, and I'm glad that I did--she is such an amazing vet. I had my mom start bringing our 15-year-old German Shorthair to see Dr. Butler after seeing her interact with a patient in the waiting room and being overwhelmingly impressed by how she handled the situation the owner was put into. When we brought him in for his visit, she got right down on the floor and made best friends with him and he loved it--she was so quick in his exam that he didn't even realize that it'd happened, but she was so thorough and talked us through a care plan for him. Being able to schedule online is SUPER convenient, but when I've called in to schedule as well, everyone I've spoken to has been very accommodating with making sure to find something that works with my schedule, and when I was added to a wait list, they were on top of it and I got a call the second the doctor had a cancelation. After having been to several different vet clinics throughout the Salt Lake Valley, East Valley is definitely, most consistently the best experience I've had and I will recommend them for years to come.

East Valley Vet is the best! We have two pretty tricky dogs - one is dog reactive and freaks out when he sees other dogs, the other gets super aggressive in the vet’s office. The staff are always willing to accommodate, like taking us through the back door and letting us wait in our car instead of the lobby. They don’t make us feel weird or bad. The vets are down to earth and give us reliable and practical help to assure our puppies are the healthiest and best versions of themselves.

I have two 20 week old puppies and they've seen Dr. Sophie Charlton since 8 weeks. East Valley welcomes us warmly each and every visit and this last week I called them for help with two sick puppies. They were responsive, were able to get me in immediately (on what I know was an already very busy day for them) and Dr. Sophie stepped in so we didn't have to wait more than two minutes upon arrival. She then made sure to take care of them and me, the now worried sick dog mom. She spoke to all of my worries and was incredibly clear and efficient with next steps. Each visit, Dr. Sophie has spent quality time with us and for a busy office, that is not necessary but so very appreciated. What I was looking for from the beginning was a place that was warm and welcoming for my pups and a place that is dedicated to communication and care. And kindness. And East Valley has consistently been each of those things.

My dog suddenly came up lame, was not using left front leg at all. I went on line and made an appointment. I thought it was for that same day but it was actually for a month away. The clinic called and said they wanted to see her right away due to her symptoms. That impressed me. When we got there they were very nice, treated my dog wonderfully, and when I went to pick her up the doctor showed the xray and explained it very well. I would recommend this clinic to everyone.

My little Maximus (Chorkie) had some really bad teeth issues and needed to have some removed. I was super nervous looking for a place to take him because my first experience at another clinic went very bad.... I finally came across East Valley Vet and noticed they had some solid reviews. So I made my way to East Valley Vet to put those reviews to the test. Now, I wouldn't recommend any other place, East Valley Vet is the place to go with ur lil furry friends needs. They were very good with Maximus and very gentle with him. They kept us updated the entire time max was with them and even set the dosages for his pain meds for us so we wouldn't have to. Front desk is very polite and kind and the surgeons and nurses were very kind as well. This will officially be our go to place for any of our Pup needs. Max is now eating more comfortably and is no longer nibbling blankets due to irritation and pain :)

This is a hard review to write. My poor Denali girl had been having some issues. I took her in and she merited blood work and an ultrasound. After finding a large tumor on her gi tract Dr. Michelle addressed me straightforward and let us know she would be best off if we help her go easy. A few days later we were back. They had a quiet and dark space prepared for our sweet girl to move on. They were compassionate and crying in the room with us. It's never easy to lose a best friend. I'll never forget my sweet girl and I'll always remember how safe it felt at East Valley for her last moment. Thank you to everyone here, I'm sorry to have had to share my hardship and sadness with you great people.

They are pricey, compared to other vet clinics. Though, I don't regret paying the amount I did to fix my boy. They were sweet are beautiful, they understood my concerns and took amazing care of us. They sent him home with pain killers and everything... it was beautiful. He went home with us, and survived perfectly fine through the night with the pain meds. I am considering spending the same amount on my female to get her fixed as well even though I can find cheaper. They care about our animals and message us throughout the day about your pet when they're in surgery. It made my anxiety at ease.

East valley will definitely be our permanent vet. we were extremely nervous to take our little guy to the vet, he has high functioning anxiety which leads to aggression to new people, we were worried any vet would make us feel horrible for it & not have the patience to deal with him, that wasn’t the case at all with east valley, they were amazing with him they had us be involved with his treatment, they answered the million questions we had, & they didn’t rush us out of there after the office closed & the staff was the best! They have such a caring and attentive staff, and although their drop off service scared me a little bit I actually felt comfortable with it due to the staff’s professionalism, empathy, and patience. The vet I spoke to over the phone was also really patient and kind. She took time to explain all the options we had, all the possible diagnoses and treatments, and she was kind to let me ramble about my concerns. Overall it was a really good experience, they are pretty pricy but it may be for the quality of service.

I was extremely impressed by the service and treatment my dog and I received today. My dog had an urgent but not emergency need and my normal vet was unable to work him in, suggesting I take him to Advanced Veterinary Care which would have been my last choice. I could understand if it had been necessary but I did not feel it was and was disappointed that they did not offer a drop off visit. After calling one other local vet, I contacted East Valley Veterinary Clinic and they immediately offered their services even though we were not one of their established clients. I dropped my dog off and received a call two hours later telling me that he had been checked out and they did not find anything concerning, he possibly just had some muscle soreness and did not require further testing at this time. I picked him up, was provided medication and paid the bill which was extremely reasonable. I am transferring my pet to their care and highly recommend them to everyone who has pets!

Just moved here and took my dog to East Valley Vet to update her vaccines. They were really polite on the phone and I was able to set up an appointment only about a week out. They aren't letting guests into the building with their pets which I was a little nervous about because it seemed like it'd be scary for my dog. The people at East Valley were really nice and talked to me on the phone while they were giving my dog her checkup. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by how good the communication was even though I had to sit in the car the whole time and I thought their prices were really reasonable.

Quite honestly amazing. We're new to the area, set up care with East Valley, and have had two minor dog emergencies since setting up care (minor because not emergency vet level, but definitely in the category of needing dealt with soon). Both dogs were seen quicker than I thought possible. One dog was seen day of and only took a few hours to get all the meds for the diagnosis. I know that vets run themselves to exhaustion and further, and are nowhere near as appreciated as they should be. Y'all should be appreciated. Plus bloodwork back in 15 minutes? Wow!

My little girl has been through so much these past 6 months I don't know how she has remained so sweet and good. She got glaucoma right after a bad break up with me and her dad. We moved in with my son who has 5 dogs for a month and then to our new home in Sugarhouse. She has been treated by the Eye care for animals clinic these past 6 months and they are great. They determined that she is no longer responding to the medication (which we knew would happen eventually) and she is in pain. They determined that the eye needs to come out. They also told me that another vet could do it for half the price. I contacted the vet that they suggested because members of my family have used them for years and they have been happy. Her vet is retiring and doesn't do eye extraction. This clinic told me that they couldn't get her in for 6 weeks. I researched East Valley and they scheduled her for 2 weeks out. The price is about the same at both clinics. After reading the reviews and learning that the clinic is just 5 blocks from our new home it was a no brainier. I was needing a new vet anyway. I kept calling with questions and they were so patient with me. I look forward to a new relationship with a new vet.

Based off a referral from our friends at Pure Paws, we took our 2 large breed puppers(9 yo, 7 yo)here yesterday for their first appointment. The experience was positive from start to finish. Staff was on point with obtaining pet records from our prior vet to getting us in their systems for future visits. Although I prefer to be with my sweeties during their visits I am grateful East Valley Vet Clinic is keeping community safe with stringent COVID processes that flowed easily VIA cell phone as I relaxed in my car in the parking lot. Dr. Kelly helped me understand my options with an upcoming potential procedure and I felt enlightened to make the best decision if/when the time comes. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Butler and staff, I knew we were at the right place! I really like this vet. I came here because they are familiar with greyhounds and handle the breed needs very well. I continue to come here because they are also knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I really feel that they have my dogs' best interests in mind as they help whenever I call/come in. Very happy with them overall and highly recommend them. I don't know if they are the cheapest, but they are a far cry from expensive! The only heads up I would offer is parking. Their parking lot usually has a space but it's an odd shape. Be prepared to park carefully or on the street.

He has a collapsing trachea due to this age (14 1/2) but needed a grooming so badly. East Valley Vet Clinic was very helpful in establishing a new vet in a new area. My family and I just moved from Indiana to Utah and were planning a trip out of town shortly following the move. This trip out of town became less stressful when I was able to establish a vet in the area in case something were to come up with my pet while he spent the week at the sitter's. I called and expressed my want to establish a relationship in that same week and Dr. Burton fit me into her schedule within days. When we met through the initial appointment we reviewed all of my Rosco's medical history and discussed his habits in daily life. When I expressed my concern for not being familiar with the area and wanting to keep our active life active, Dr. Burton discussed with me the wildlife that could cause harm and how they could be avoided. Dr. Burton also suggested classes for my pup & I so we could better understand our new environment and suggested I call when we plan to adventure out in back country and she will help prepare us for our adventure. Dr. Burton was beyond accommodating to our time, she fit us into her schedule very quickly, she took her time with us and I truly appreciated the care and information we received. I am very pleased with our choice of East Valley Vet Clinic as our established vet.

The pandemic-required drop-off system to deliver my pet worked very well. My cat needed a distemper shot. I mentioned I was traveling with her next month and the technician suggested several things to think about which were very useful. Unfortunately, my cat is somewhat of a "sensitive snowflake" and became lethargic, feverish, and developed a limp in her left foreleg about six hours after her shot, just like I did a week early from my flu shot. I called the office the next day and an available vet assured me her symptoms were most likely temporary but to call back if her symptoms worsened. They didn't. Very please with the staff's support and I'm more confident that my travel next month with my cat will be smooth riding given the tips provided.

The people who work here are MARVELOUS. We had an emergency with a new kitty (new to us, rescued), and somehow, despite not having any appts available, she got taken care of. It took some time that day, but the emergency was put to rest, and our questions about Sadie were answered. Her tooth extraction was two weeks later, and we were so relieved about Sadie's health that we brought our older cat (Latte) there also for treatment and immunizations. And surprise of surprises, we got a thank you note for bringing our kitties in for help. Now how often have you gotten a thank you letter from a doctor when you were sick?? NEVER!! The note was the icing on the cake. East Valley took the prize with the note, although our kitties' health is much more important to us... I haven't even met the vet(s?) because everything was done by distance -- you bring your animal to the clinic, it gets picked up and is treated, then you come back to the clinic after you're called, and pick up your treated furry friend -- but I feel these people really care about my animals and about ME. We'd been going to our former vet since about 1975, a verrry long time, but after he retired and sold his practice, although the new people were very nice, East Valley just swept us off our feet with their understanding and their excellent care of our furry friends. And they're less than a mile away, which is sooooo convenient. That's why I gave East Valley five stars. If I could give them more, I would! So in my mind I've given them 10!

I could tell Boo was LOVED during her experience today. Never before has she been in such good spirits after a vet apt. I want to start by saying, that other than one thing I will get into later in my review, this place is 5 stars hands down. They got me in same week for just a general wellness checkup. Super clean, the staff are so nice and knowledgeable. It all went very quick but thorough and attentive. They were simply efficient. My sweetheart kitty can be feisty if handled and moved by strangers, especially when stressed, but Dr Kelly handled her so well, where kitty didn’t even flinch! Dr Kelly was also very knowledgeable, explained things well, and understood that its not necessary to jump to expensive testing and specialist visits and medications right off the bat for something that could have a simple solution. I felt totally comfortable in her care. I have only owned one other cat, and the few times we took him to the vet my ex handled all that, and usually my fosters just go to the vet at the shelter, so this world of private vet care is new to me, but everyone was awesome. Now. The reason I deduct stars... I chose these guys over another vet just as close and just as well rated because of a promo they had on their website, of new patients having their first exam free. Being a new professional with student loans, I’ll save what I can. I mentioned the ad when I made my appointment on the phone and when checking in. When checking out, I was charged $27. I asked the staff checking me out, who was the same person I checked in with and reminded of the coupon I wanted to use, if that was including the free exam coupon, and she said yes. I wasn’t going to argue because $27 is still a great deal, but it makes me nervous for this reason: If something as simple as an exam, their definition of “free” is a $27 charge, if/when there’s a case where I need more extensive care or testing for fur baby, is there going to be jerking me around with the price, or a higher price than other care providers? I did have a question of my kitty’s snotty nose, but that didn’t require Dr Kelly to do any sort of examination outside of what she already did. There was no fine print on their ad of “does not include x-y-z”... its just the lack of transparency or straight forwardness that worries me in the future. If it had been a different week, I may not have had that money, because I didn’t budget $27 for a free vet exam! Its possible there was a misunderstanding about which coupon I meant, even though theres only one in their website and I emphasized FREE exam while booking and checking in, or that if I argued I could have “won” and not been charged, but thats not who I am, I just expect a “free exam” to be, well, free. This combined with the two staff members trying to figure out some financial thing about another patient and if/what they paid while I was at the counter waiting to check out, makes me nervous of their organization and marketing and financial methods. I may try another vet out or drive a little further to the vet my foster coordinator suggested, just to shop around, but I did love this place!

My vet retired. I was DEVESTATED and so scared on who to now trust my 150 lb and 65 lb pups with. I did what we did in the old days and turn to the "yellow pages" aka "Google" now a days. I researched 4 clinics thoroughly under a microscope and magnifying glass. East Valley seemed like the best to try. After calling and speaking with the front desk and a tech asking various questions as a sort of interview, I made an appointment for my largest baby pup. EAST VALLEY VET CLINIC, THE ENTIRE STAFF, WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING AND ROCKED IT!!! They took time to come out and get to know my "big boy pup" on his terms in the waiting room, making him feel calm and engaged, then using a cookie helped him on the scale, talking to him in a calm, low, soft, tone voice, soothing him and getting him comfortable in a completely new environment. there wasn't any rushing, getting frustrated, anxiety going on that "my pup" would pick up on and emulate. The staff took note to what made him happy/calm and also nervous. The staff all worked within those boundaries, no matter how difficult it made it for them to get what they needed done or if it took a little longer than normal. My "pup" was wagging his tail and a smile that we even took a picture of with the staff b4 him and i left. THE ENTIRE STAFF AND VET, HERSELF, WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND everything that I have ever experienced in my past 35 years of owing dogs and vet visits!!! I RECOMMEND THE EAST VALLEY VET CLINIC WITH HIGH MARKS AND NO HESITATION!

I can't say enough good things about them! Our Rottweiler broke a nail (sounds stupid, I know) and was in so much pain!! We called both vets we had been to before as well as several others and they were all booked several weeks out. When I called EVVC, they said they were booked full, but if we felt comfortable leaving her there for a few hours, they'd work her in. Before they did anything to Snickers, the DOCTOR called me to let me know our options, and had already researched pricing for us. Snickers is a big scaredy cat and didn't like the kennel, so the Vet let her lay on the couch in her office while she was waiting to be seen! They took such good care of her and the cost was beyond reasonable for a Saturday emergency appointment that required sedation. I would HIGHLY recommend them! 💖

Ok, Dr. Lynette is amazing. She went out of her way when we were brand new clients to write a letter to the dog insurance in support of a procedure they weren't covering because she knew the claim was legitimate, it just hadn't been documented properly. The procedural costs are very reasonable and they bring in a top-notch surgeon (we've had two knee procedures). As a grad student, I needed to be very thrifty and I trusted that Dr. Lynette truly was taking my situation into account, writing me prescrips to Costco when I could get the longterm rimadyl cheaper there (Its not the awesome chewable kind which they have on site). But when it came time to pick a knee surgery, I also trusted that Dr. L wouldnt have suggested the costlier knee surgery if she didnt truly belive it was the better long term option for my medium, very athletic hound. I feel like she genuinely has the animals' best interest at heart and yet it's still affordable which is the most you can hope for from a vet. She always takes the extra time to explain what's going on and what I can expect in the future and answer any questions I have. I've never felt rushed during an appointment. I do get my vaccinations at the humane society where I adopted my pup because it is cheaper and they're so graceful over at East Valley, they even put those dates in and send me a reminder regardless of where I shop for my shots :) We've been going there for maybe 6 or 7 years and I will continue to visit East Valley as long as I live in Salt Lake!

These guys can talk to you, find out your situation, and give you suggested breeds to go with so you're less likely to return the dog later because "it's just not working out".

I initially came to this vet because it's conveniently close to my home, but I keep coming back because they have taken exceptional care of my dog. Six months ago, Kiya was diagnosed with an auto immune disease, and was on the brink of death. Dr Butler and Dr Lynette put Kiya on a prescription treatment plan and asked that we come back for a blood test every week until Kiya's counts were back to normal, if they ever reached normal again. During this time of expensive vet care (and no pet insurance) the doctors were kind enough to waive the fee for the visit to draw blood, while we still covered the test. This was a heart warming act of kindness during a difficult time, but also really helped minimize our costs. After two months of treatment, I'm happy to report that Kiya made a FULL recovery and is officially in remission. She is very active, healthy and happy, and we are so grateful to East Valley Vet.
