I have always been happy with Pets in Need. I have been with them for a couple of years now. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. However, I was disappointed by my last visit. I took my dog in for a "Sick Visit". After the exam, I was informed that my dog needed vaccines. It didn't seem that they were busy so I asked them to give him the shot and they told me that I had to make a new appointment and come back more than a month later. Now I will have to make another trip from Western Cranston and pay for another office visit in addition to the cast of the shot. This organization is meant to help people with limited incomes.

Best vets around, they saved my Dog Dallas's life with a risky surgery no other clinic wanted to do for the price pets in need did... literally 1/8 the the price it cost. We bring All our dogs here for shots and checkups and nail clippings.The staff from front desk to the surgeon have EXCELLENT customer service...

Staff is so caring and considerate when you are scared that your fluffy best friend is sick. I was extremely satisfied with the level of compassion these people have...they truly love animals. My poor kitty Daryl wasnt feeling so good and i cant afford expensive vet bills. They helped me out tremendously with everything. Daryl seems to be doing much better thanks to the people at Pets in Need veterinary. (even though he was hiding under the chair in the exam room)

Kind, caring staff.. My kitten needed his eye removed which the charge was beyond resonable... They did an amazing job and they were able to get my Onyx in right away.. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.. I will continue to use them as my vet for always!! Thank you so much!! Onyx's eye has healed beautifully and he is a normal, playful kitten... I dont know what I would of done without them !!!

Appointment fee$25 goes toward exam fee $30. That was great to hear. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Felt comfortable. Big waiting room for space between animals. Only thing I didn't like is they don't take scratch pay. You have to pay in full. Even with discounts, our bill was $135. I ended up going half with my friend so her cat could have blood work and pain meds.

I brought my dog there for the first time. She had to be put to sleep. I got answers from vet that I wasn't able to get from any other vet in four years. Very heartbreaking. The Dr. was very comforting. She was very thorough with info. They did a great job in explaining everything. Very very very clean. I want to bring my other dog there. Prices are exceptional, they go on your budget. They really try to help. They do all they can.

This week was my first visit to this facility. I was very impressed, not only with the facility overall, but with the kind and knowledgeable vet Dr. Schenck. She listened to my questions and provided answers. The office reception staff were pleasant and efficient. Any call I made was responded to right away or a return call made in a reasonable time. I have had many pet companions over the past 40 years and must say this place is one of the best. I have a dental service scheduled and am hoping for a cancellation so I can get her in earlier. I'm concerned about the wait. I feel very confident about the services provided.

I cannot say enough good things about the PIN Clinic. Every single member of the staff bends over backwards for their clients. They treat every animal with love and their owners with respect and kindness. They charge the bare minimums so that everyone can access health care for their pets, but they sacrifice no level of service or care to give it to you. I get tears in my eyes talking about them and how they’ve cared for my dog who has a chronic lung infection issue. The team members all know him and greet him by name when he walks in, its a nice feeling and the attention he gets from everyone makes him more comfortable when he’s there. Dr. Schenck is hands down the best vet we’ve ever been to, smart, caring and kind. She and the rest of the team are nothing short of angels on earth. So much love for this wonderful place, if you are in need of an affordable vet, this is the place. ❤️

Genuinely nice caring people who love animals. I have separation anxiety when my therapy dog is away from me. Today I had to send her in the office alone. I was so anxious. The woman who came to get her from the car was so nice, gentle and had a good energy about her. It calmed me right away. They called me 2x to let me know what was going. Even though we got tough news, they gave me hope and eased my fears. Your pet will be in great hands.

I can not say either way. Our cat was very sick but because of covid they would not see her. We ended up putting her to sleep. Turned out she had cancer. I just wish they were not closed to dire cases. But really all they could have done was offer the same choice only i would not have had to spend half of what I bring in money wise a month to find out.

Very nice staff and prices are reasonable. They now accept cards for payment which is great, however they are only open 4 days a week so scheduling surgeries and appointments in general is a bit inconvenient. Other than being understaffed , they provide good service.

The doctor actually cares!! She is amazing and it’s available for people with low income which is amazing! She cut his nails and told me he had a heart murmur after checking his heart that CAWS in Warwick never did... thank god I switched to pets in need!!

I liked taking my dog here for her visit. The place is very clean and the staff are professional. The pricing is in the mid-range area and they also have special pricing for veterans which I thought was awesome. I would definitely recommend them to all the pet owners.

The place I was at was actually the ASPCA veterinarian which is two doors down from pets in need the ASPCA I was at is a low-cost that and it was a very heartbreaking day because one of my cats TT tiger had to be put to sleep because he had a belly full of cancer and it was heartbreaking I'm still heartbroken missing him but the ASPCA offers very low cost that care we brought two cats with us that day and they charged us $35 for each cat to be examined and they didn't charge us anything further but usually they do they only did that for us charging us only 35 each a total of $70 because that's what we were told by the main ASPCA lady who set it up that we wouldn't be charged for any treatment or anything else just the exams so if you're thinking of making an appointment for your pet at the Rhode Island ASPCA vet clinic next door to pets in need make sure you ask a lot of questions cuz it is discounted vet care.

The vets are great. My poor cat was almost bald from scratching and licking, due to fleas, which he is highly allergic to. They shaved his hair and took care of his flea problem and gave him an antibiotic, and the cone of shame. Now that he's healthy I can go for his neutering. I would recommend these veterinarians to any low income family.

My saving grace. They provide regular veterinary care at very, very discounted rates. Like they even open the boxes of packaged meds so you can buy single ones. All of my cat's vaccinations were under $10 each. The vets are so nice, they're actually honest about what your pet really needs, unlike past vets I've had, who were always pushing new vaccinations and preventive services. It's so nice not having to defend myself against a salesperson while trying to make important decisions. You will need to provide proof of (lack of) income, like an acceptance letter from Medicaid or SNAP. Cons: Surprise, they have limited availability, and can be a little hard to get a hold of. They still offered me a next day appt when I said it was urgent.

My Emmie was so very ill when I took her in to see Dr Elias an she was cared for as if it was their own...down to the cute 💛 over her "i" on her name on her medicine bag!! We brought our 2 Havanese there, 1 needed medical attention, the other needed shots. The pup who needed medical attention (Duke) needed to be put down. They were very professional, compassionate and understanding and gave us the option to take him home or have him cremated. They did a beautiful with the cremation and we got a number of things in his memory for a VERY inexpensive price. The only problem we had was the ashes took longer to come back than they had originally said. We will bring Luke back when it comes time for his shots again. They were professional, courteous and attentive. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a need for inexpensive pet care.

I had to put my Borzoi to sleep yesterday and the staff here were amazing! I knew the reason I was there and started crying as soon as I walked in to the building. Cat broke her leg and the estimated price to amputate was over $1,000 pets in need help me save my cat's life for almost half the price. So grateful for them because the only other option I could afford was putting her down and I'm so grateful that she gets to live the rest of her life with us.

They saved my dogs life. My poor baby had a pyometra infection and after bringing her to 3 vets and spending more money than i had they got rite to the point and saved her life for less money than the 3 vets prior that did nothing for my dog. One place wanted me to have her brought for an MRI. Which is like 2k Another wanted to run all blood tests after bringing her 2 times. The last place i brung her in swansea did help me but i could not afford the surgery, so they gave me a grant and reccomended the PIN clinic. After they hydrated gemini i had to drive her to the pin clinic for surgery then pick her up and bring her back to swansea to spend the night at the hospital. She was very close to death and if the other vets were not just out fkr money they could have saved me some money and saved my dog the pain and suffering she was in for almost 2 weeks. The PIN clinic was extremely caring, kind and understanding of your needs. I thank god they were able to save my baby girl. If i ever hit the lottery or come into a large sum of money they wilm be the first place i donate too. For now i only give what i can when we go in to be seen. They are WONDERFUL😇 THANK YOU

I took my cat Jewelia to Pets in Need when I was referred for low cost vet care. The staff was very caring and compassionate when I brought Jewelia in I was so worried about her I was close to tears. I had called and they got me right in for an appointment. Dr Samantha Schenck examined her and and was very gentle and friendly. She suggested blood work and x-rays. With my funds being limited the Dr and the staff showed gave me a list of foundation that assist with funds to help low income individuals get vet care. I was able to get funds from 3 wonderful organizations and get the testing she needed. The tests were done and the Dr Sam even consulted a Vet Radiologist to make sure she didn't miss anything. It seemed it was crystals in the bladder she believed I gave her pain meds for a week and now she is back to her playful happy self thanks to the wonderfully exceptional staff at Pets in Need....

Love this place I take my cat and 3 dogs there it's amazing they are very good and affordable. My daughters cat had to get put down at VCA Animal hospital cuz we didn't have $2,500 for a surgery she had pyometria she just turned 5 then 2 years later our 3 year old shitzhu Lhasa apso mix got pyometria and needed same surgery and it was immediate surgery after the Cranston vet needed like $2,000 we thought we losing her til the vet told me about PETS IN NEED WHICH just opened 3 was prior. So it literally cost me $360 at Cranston animal hospital then cuz they wanted too much for surgery so pets in Need. Only charged like $130 for everything including 3 meds it was so wonderful the dr.'s , the technicians they are great. I recommend this place to anyone who qualifies they really are lifesavers!

I took my Chihuahua Becky here for her shots and nails clipped the staff all were very friendly, then when I left and took Becky home she had a reaction to the shots mild fever no appetite wouldn't drink her water so I called the vet here and they called right back when they opened and asked about Becky ,well Becky is still a little sleepy but got up and ate some chicken I boiled for her and I wet it a little so she can get a little water in her system she is starting to play now and run around I can't say enough good things about this place they really love and care about you and your pets I was awake all night with Becky watching her it was like when my kids were I'll but thank God she's ok now
