The techs and doctors at Ferguson Animal Hospital were all very helpful with my new puppy. They took several phone calls and responded urgently to concerns I had. They also made sure to explain each checkup and walk me through their assessment. If you need a vet then I highly recommend the place. Only thing that would be better is if you could join your pet inside during visits but understanding it’s during this covid period and it’s for all our safety.

Well I was there yesterday with my dog the vet mentioned doing a eye test and blood work then never came back to the room. I was told I was supposed to bring my kitten in for her second shot but never got the massage. Feel like I was dismissed because I said my dog was old and didn't want to go to extremes with him. Just make sure he's not in any pain.

Called for a sick visit for my fur baby, unfortunately they did not have any appts available today but the girl I spoke to on the phone, Leah, took down my cat's symptoms and said she would speak to the Dr when he came in and would go from there. Received a call back shortly after and was told it would be best to bring her in for a drop off visit and she would be seen in between the scheduled appts. Staff was very friendly and put mine and my husband's mind at ease about having to leave her and assured us she would be well taken care of 😊

I appreciate Ferguson Animal Hospital very much. I spent 2 weeks trying to get an appt for my cat who was having severe eye pain. No one had available appointments. They took me in the next day sqeezing us in-between patients. No one else would do that. That's how much they care !

Dr. Deegan is the greatest and the whole office is crazy nice. They have been there with us through some tough times and we would recommend them to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital. The staff are all so genuinely kind and caring, both over the phone and in person. Both the vets and techs obviously do what they can to make the animals feel comfortable in a typically uncomfortable situation. Everyone loves our little kitten and they do everything they can to give us the best options for her care. I don't feel like they are just trying to get our money, and with such amazing staff, I am happy to pay the reasonable service fees. This animal hospital is easy to find, right off of the rotary on Woonasquatucket, and there is plenty of parking.

I am visiting from Colorado and desperately needed to get a veterinarian appointment for my dog who has a tumor in his mouth. Dr. Hopkins and the staff were wonderful. I have been to a lot of vets and this by far is my favorite one ever. The staff is attentive, compassionate and helpful. They take my concerns very seriously and I feel like I'm being listened too. They are really sweet to my cat and I trust them a lot. Dr. Deegan is incredible and the vet technician Sam made me feel comfortable and was incredibly sweet. I would absolutely recommend.

I took our 12 year old cat here due to sneezing and coughing, including sneezing blood. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The visit was contactless. The veterinarian examined him and called to give me her thoughts and ideas. Then, together we developed a plan for further action. She was understanding and sympathetic to the expense of treatment and testing. I did not feel pressured to have more done or made to feel guilty for the decisions that I made. I lived in Rhode Island for 9 years and went to several different vets before landing at Ferguson. This place blew all the others (and there were several) out of the water. I was floored. I'd NEVER experienced caring, considerate, service on this level before. I was incredibly sad to leave the area and I can only hope I find a vet like this again. Go here. You (and your pet) won't regret it.

Our first wellness visit with our Golden Doodle went extremely well. We waited in the car while Daisy had her check up. Both the Veterinarian and vet tech came out to review our puppies health. Can't say enough about the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Donahue is great. He was very compassionate and patient when we had to put our dog down because of cancer. The staff worked along side our dog's oncologist at Ocean State and stayed abreast of our dog's status. He sent a hand written sympathy card that was genuine and I believe showcases his passion and aptitude for the profession. I highly recommend.

The wait staff and doctors are very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is clean as well. They take the time to answer questions and they do not rush you. One of my cats passed away from old age and a health issue. They guided me and gave my cat the best care and referred me to the right specialists while he was being treated. Today we had our first visit at Ferguson Animal Hospital in North Providence for our new puppy Daisy Mae. The staff was extremely professional and even took us early. We met our veterinarian Dr. Donahue who came out and explained to us what was taking place today. All I can say is that Ferguson Animal Hospital is the perfect place for our girl.

I moved up from Philadelphia a few months ago and struggled to find a Veterinarian accepting new patients and providing consistent care during this pandemic. My cat got very sick last month and Ferguson Animal Hospital got her in immediately. Dr. Penny paid attention to everything I said and spent a great deal of time on the phone with me reviewing the details of all tests run and my options moving forward. Unfortunately, my cat’s health deteriorated and she passed away last week. As painful as the process was, Dr. Penny and the rest of the staff showed warmth, compassion, and gave me the time I needed. When I am ready for another pet, Ferguson Animal Hospital is where I will be taking them. I cannot recommend this office enough.

Last year, I brought my cat here to have a skin growth checked out. The doctor confirmed it was just a skin tag and did not pressure me into an expensive biopsy or surgery to remove it like I feared. (And of course it fell off on its own a little while later) I have had poor experience in the past with other vets where it very much felt like they tried to milk as much money out of you as possible at the detriment of the animal as well. Just this week, my cat became very sick. Dr. Marandola examined him, ran some bloodwork (I was concerned about the cost and he was able to cut out some unnecessary ones to bring it down). and explained the best case scenario would be to put him to sleep. Both Dr. Marandola and the vet tech that assisted (I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she was such a sweetheart) were compassionate and respectful to both me and my cat during the entire process. I was able to spend some time with my buddy before, during, and after the procedure. They also arranged for the cremation with Final Gift (I've used them in the past for my older cats, they are excellent as well) which I am grateful for. Considering the bloodwork, exam, euthanasia and cremation, the costs were quite reasonable. This is a practice that very much cares for animals and I feel do not exploit pet parents. I would recommend to anyone and will be bringing my other animals here in the future. Thank you greatly for helping me deal with this difficult time.

We would like to thank Dr Penney and staff who saw her on the day she was diagnosed with IMHA and went above and beyond expectations during a time when their caseload was overwhelming. This place was recommended to us last year by a friend and I’m really glad it was. I’ve been there for minor checkups and some serious emergencies that ultimately required surgery on my pup. Through it all the staff was always great, and everything went smooth with my pups. I’ve been to other vets that when you receive the bills they are shocking, and loaded with seemingly random expensive charges, but not here. I never felt as though I wasn’t paying a fair price for exactly the service I was getting. What stood out to me also were the post surgical visit checkups which sometimes required some more hands on intensive work. These were all extremely reasonable costs, $30 usually if my memory serves correct. Which makes sense in my mind as the bulk of the cost came from the initial procedure, but I’ve been elsewhere where the follow ups were costing as much as ordinary vet visits.

My 18th month old male french bulldog was seen for routine neuter with Dr. Hopkins on January 18, 2023. The procedure went well. Upon pick-up in the afternoon post-surgery, my pet was alert and responsive. He traveled home in the car without incident or concern. He ate and drank a bit and slept well through the night. Two weeks post surgery, he is doing great and living life as if nothing ever happened to him. I very much appreciate the care that was taken of my pet while he was under anesthesia as well the follow-up conversation that Dr. Hopkins and I had in regard to some procedures from which my pet may benefit in the future. With concerns related to anesthesia in mind, pet parents, especially those of brachycephalic breed dogs, should feel comfortable entrusting their animals to the care of Ferguson Animal Hospital. Thank you to all the veterinarians, vet techs and other staff at Ferguson Animal Hospital.
