There are so many wonderful things about Bethany Family Pet Clinic. I have taken my dogs there for years. The staff is both professional and friendly. The staff has always answered my calls and responded to whatever I need. My dogs like their vet and the vet assistants...and that hasn't always been the case with other vet clinics. The atmosphere is calm, clean and inviting. Soft music is played so the animals feel comfortable. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants the best care for their pet.

When I moved to OR, I absolutely DREADED finding a new vet, because I know how overworked vets are post-pandemic. But we got right into BFPC! My boyfriend is a hard sell on vets, and he loved Dr. Rodriguez right off the bat. Our pup just got neutered today and the front desk staff were amazing at drop off, provided me with expectations and reassurance, and even offered for a vet to come speak with me to ease my anxiety. I was aware of the estimate before surgery, and asked about add-ons, and reassured that I would be kept in the loop. The vet who did the neuter, Dr. Hanrahan, called me herself to discuss recommendations and possible additional costs BEFORE doing anything, which I so appreciate! She was very personable and took her time to answer all my questions, and personally called me herself when my pup was out of surgery. The whole thing, drop off to pickup, was 5 hours, and so convenient. BFPC staff is wonderful, not only to the pups, but the parents as well. I especially love their fear free practice, and will continue to take my sweet boy here (pics of him for viewing pleasure) 😊

This clinic is absolutely fantastic. To start, the front desk is always very informative and make the entire process very easy. Scheduling with them couldn’t be easier. We accidentally showed up a day early to our appointment and they were still able to find doctor for us and saved us from a hour long round trip for nothing. The doctors always now how to make a dog comfortable and are always extremely helpful when it comes to answering questions and giving advice.

My dog had an urgent care issue on Saturday & I was able to bring her in to be seen. The staff are friendly. Dr. Pow is amazing. The care and follow up are top notch. Having weekend hours without being charged as an emergency visit is great!

My previous vet in Louisiana was wonderful, and I was so nervous to find another vet for my kitties. That, put together with Covid and the difficulty in finding a vet during that time, backed up my kitties check ups for nearly two years. Then I moved to Bethany, and really needed to get all three of them checked. Let me say, I wish I had come here sooner. Dr. Hadi is absolutely amazing with my three cats (one is super shy, one is super squirmy, and the other is ornery and aggressive). Dr Hadi and his staff handled them all with the gentlist, most loving hands I could've imagined. Not only did I feel relief, but I think the kitties were relieved as well! It was such a wonderful, painless experience that I was just absolutely floored. The staff and doctor are so wonderful at handling and caring for cats! And are certified cat friendly and fear free! I've never been to a vet with those, and oh it made such a HUGE difference. It was the first time we brought in our ornery cat for a checkup where he hasn't drawn blood from anyone. Absolutely amazing work.

I was worried that my dog was having trouble breathing. I contacted BFPC, and they gave me the option to drop him off so a doctor could check him over. I got him there by 8:30 and by 10:00 Dr. Lough called me to let me know there was no fever, his lungs sounded clear and he was doing fine. I was able to get him home reassured that there was no infection. After a couple of doses of Benadryl, he’s much better.

We have been clients of BFPC for a couple years now and have had our share of regular visits and urgent calls. The staff is always so helpful, and they go out of their way to get sick animals seen quickly. We are very grateful for the number of times that BFPC has kept our fur babies out of the emergency vet.

Overall happy with the vet experience. When one of my dogs hurt his leg they bandaged it (at first) in a way that caused his foot to swell up, and he's got a bald patch from where it was rubbing his skin (that won't grow back), so I almost gave 4/5 stars, but Dr. Velasco is a 5 star veterinarian. She stepped in halfway through his treatment, and was so caring and informative that I request her every time now. Wait times can be a little long with COVID restrictions, but before that it was always seamless, and the lobby is really nice once we get to go in again. I added a picture of the cute little heart she added to his bandages. She changed the colors each time, it was pretty precious 😊. Also, she was always sweet about his temperament, which can be pretty aggro. I still go here even though I moved 40 minutes away.

My dogs actually love going to the vet, since I've started coming here. Everyone is nice and welcoming. It's clear that only animal lovers work here. The vets are all very competent. So if I can't see Dr. Reyes, I'm in good hands no matter who sees my dogs. (Though they do favor her).... The place is very well run, only the latest technology, and if they can't help, they have no problem referring to one who can. I definitely recommend this place. Dr Mark Norman has a wonderful practice that he has created here, both for his staff and his patients alike. (And his patients people). ;) Including pic of two of their patients...

I love that they're open 7 days a week and I've been happy with the doctors we've seen but scheduling is a nightmare. My cat has blood in her urine so I called to make an appointment but because it has been over a year since her last appointment they wont see her for anything until she has an annual exam and the first availability for that was 3 weeks out. But when my other cat had an infected tooth earlier this year they saw him within a matter of days even though it has been over a year since his last appointment. This isn't the first scheduling issue I've had and last time I had to find another vet that had better availability to see us for an urgent issue and it looks like I will have to do that again this time.

Update: my pupper will be 2 years old soon and it is thanks to Bethany Family Pet clinic that she's made it to her 2nd birthday. So many issues with my pupper but Bethany Family Pet Clinic has been there with us all the way with professional quality service and a big heart to help this anxious dog mom through it all!!! Huge shout out to Dr. Hadi and Dr. Rodriguez who have gone out of their way time and time again to save the day, always going above and beyond to take care of Clover. And everyone is so friendly and helpful. Being a vet is no easy thing and these days it is beyond difficult, but they are patient and thorough and caring. Excellent care. Dog and cat areas are separated, and the place is Fear-Free certified. (They go above and beyond to help your pet feel as comfortable as possible.) My vet even got on the floor and let my kitty eat treats while she examined him. They also provide hideaways for cats to help them feel secure, and have many other tools and tricks at their disposal. They made an excellent first impression!

My dog and I were living next door to the bagel shop on 23rd that had the series of gas explosions in 2016. After the accident, I got a call from Bethany making sure me and my pup were ok. After seeing us on the news they were worried about my dog with high anxiety. It was so touching to know that I have a vet that truly cares for my pups wellbeing. They have a patient for life!

I just moved to Oregon and chose this clinic based on all of the positive reviews, and I was not disappointed! The staff were extremely thorough and caring; you can tell they really love animals. Due to Covid, they had curbside drop off and pick ups, so I was able to see some of the other pet parent's interactions with the doctors and techs, and they gave careful instructions and spent a good amount of time going over the visit. The vet seeing my puppy called and went over recommendations and gave me choices if I wasn't able to afford the top suggestion for care, which I really appreciate. I am extremely thankful to have found Bethany Family Pet Clinic!

So grateful for this Fear Free Certified vet practice. My large generally sweet dog is terrified after a couple of bad experiences elsewhere. I love that Dr. Norman and this practice encourage free happy visits, and take their time to find ways to make the animals feel comfortable, even in our case seeing our dog outside for her routine exams when she flatly refused to enter the doors. :) They were very kind. We drive an hour each way to go there - absolutely worth every minute and every dollar.

Strange review to post, but since I moved here and started taking my pets to BFPC I’ve had to put both my cats down due to cancer/old age. Pretty awful experience as a pet owner but the vet staff were amazingly patient and compassionate both times. I really appreciate that they made it as easy on us as possible to say goodbye.

They take great care of pets, but they also take great care of humans too. The vets and techs and staff will always take time to explain everything and answer any questions or concerns, and I have never felt like I was taking up too much of their time. It may be above average price, but you are getting their expertise in every possible area of care, and you always want the best for your best friend. I have been through it all with them and will always recommend this pet clinic to anyone in the area.

I live about 45 minutes from this clinic but I make the drive anyways because I don't trust anyone else. I've been to SO many scammy vets over the years that care MUCH more about their profits than they do about animals. Bethany vet ALWAYS makes me feel like my pet is their first priority. If I ask, they clearly explain all costs BEFORE they do anything. Their costs for services are average but their transparency and care is far above average. They are always extremely patient and understanding, they take time to explain everything and are compassionate and empathetic throughout. I highly recommend them if you value care and transparency.

We just got our first dog (a 5 month old puppy) and scheduled her first checkup here, at the recommendation of a friend who has been taking her pets here for years. Then, a week before the scheduled appointment, our puppy got sick, and we called and were able to bring her in that day to see Dr. Norman. The whole process was great. I brought her in and waited in my car. The staff performed a test in the car and then brought her inside. They came out regularly to update me on the process. Dr. Norman came out to give me a status update and some recommendations. He told me what he wanted to do, why he wanted to do it, the prices of everything, answered all my questions, and was just great. I wish I had gotten the names of the other people who were working yesterday, because they were all super friendly and very patient with my dog. I called to ask some follow up questions and they were really great about making sure I understood my puppy's after care plan, and they called me this morning to check in to see how my puppy is doing. Based off of my experience, and that of my friend who has taken many pets here over the years, I would highly recommend Bethany Family Pet Clinic to anyone looking for a good place to take their pets.

This clinic is amazing. The staff and doctors have been prompt, compassionate and informative every step of the way. I brought my 2 year old cat Frankie in a little over a week ago as a new patient for stomach issues. It has been an emotional process trying to diagnose/treat his illness, but Dr. Lariviere and Dr. Rodriguez have been so thorough and kind trying to figure out the cause. They have worked him in many times and taken such great care of him (he’s very apprehensive toward vets) even calling to check in on him daily. That has made it less stressful and kept us hopeful we can get Frankie back on a healthy track. This clinic is pretty busy all the time and for them to go above and beyond to help us out even in short notice is greatly appreciated. You can’t put a price on the best care for your pets, especially when they are sick. We couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent care that has been consistently provided to our cats by Bethany Family Pet Clinic. Aside from routine exams, we recently learned emergency care is extremely reliable and more than professional. Care provided by Dr. Haudi to our cherished ‘Rey’ who landed with an infection was more than we could ask for. Rey is recovering with us now and this is our greatest joy for the holiday. The veterinarians take time to provide details explanations and answer questions, One of our dogs is extremely fearful and aggressive at the vet and requires sedation. The staff at BFPC treat him with care and compassion. This fear-free clinic means that they understand and have special training to work with dogs like him. We have been lucky to have Bethany Family Pet Clinic as our vet for 20 years. In 2001 we got Sammy, the Beagle and Dr. Norman took great care of him for 10 years. When Sammy got cancer we were so supported by everyone at BFPC. They did everything they could, but unfortunately…the cancer got too severe. The big blessing of it all was Dr. Norman coming to our home to help our Sammy “cross the rainbow bridge.” It was such a comfort to us and to our pup. It didn’t take us too long to get another pet, Jess, who is a mixed breed rescue pup and she has also gotten great care from BFPC. And…like a lot of other people, in 2020, we added another pup to our family, Drexler…another Beagle! Both of our dogs see Dr. Rodriguez and he has been just a great vet for our dogs. There are many things we love about Bethany Family Pet Clinic: - The doctors, techs and staff are always helpful with our needs. - We always feel like we get options for care, rather than just being told what to do. - Vet costs can get expensive, the folks at BFPC are cognizant of costs and try to minimize $$. - Most importantly, we (us and our dogs) are always treated kindly and with compassion. We will always recommend Bethany Family Pet and their great team!

Everyone was very kind and professional! My cats are scared easily and this was the best vet visit they've had. One of my cats, who notoriously doesn't like treats, even took a treat from the vet herself! Dr. Mohanraj explained everything along the way beautifully and broke down each test really well. Bethany Family Pet Clinic is the best place we’ve gone to. We first came here for an emergency with our dog’s stomach being flipped. While they couldn’t do the surgery here, they released some of the pressure to give our dog more time to go to the Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency Clinic (also recommended). Ever since we’ve been going here for regular check-ups and aging care. They are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and really want what’s best for you and your animal. I cannot recommend them enough

I had a great experience with this clinic. My pup had only been there once and had a spay scheduled for August. We found out we were moving in July and I reached out to see if there was anyway they could get her in before the move. They were able to get her in the same week due to a cancelation. The surgery went fantastic and he incision/stitches looked great! The staff was friendly and caring. I am sad to be moving away from this clinic!

My experience with this clinic has been wonderful. I transferred to Dr. Norman from another vet that our pets have been with for 30 years. The whole clinic has excellent customer service and my animals have been very well cared for by all the staff. It is great to have this type of pet clinic in the Bethany community. I have never felt rushed during exams and I so appreciate the ability to get in touch with our vet whenever I need to. I have now had both my older Yorkies seen at BFPC. I needed a vet closer to where I live and heard they were very compassionate. Both of my pets were seen by Dr. Pow. She is absolutely lovely. Very compassionate and caring, and extremely communicative. I appreciated that she gave a lot of information with her recommendations and thoughts, and then gave me the choices on what I wanted to proceed with. I have had a lot of experience with vets that were pushy or didn't listen, but she was very attentive and thoughtful. With the COVID-19 restrictions and waiting in the car for visits, they handle it very professionally and safely. Staff seemed very loving towards pets too - was told they babied my little ones, which always makes me feel good. Will continue using BFPC - I feel like I can put my trust in them completely.

They always go out of their way to help the customers! I have worked with Dr.Lariviere, Dr.Pow and Dr.Norman so far for my dogs (Tori & Mello) and they have all been super nice. All the staff members always take good care of our dogs and on top of that, their price range is also very reasonable :) We are planning on continuing the care for our puppy with Bethany Pet Clinic even if we move to a different neighborhood next year.

As wonderful a Fear Free place as we could ever hope for. Our tiny, trembling dog gets pre-visit anti anxiety meds from Bethany Family Pet. This week’s visit for injections, Edwin, the tech held her so kindly and firmly that she felt calmer. She got a cat mask to calm her down as well. Our amazing vet, Dr Pow, reads dog body language and knew lots of little tricks to minimize fear. Dr Pow strategized and orchestrated the whole visit to our dog’s benefit. Our dog’s personal nail trimmer, Alicia, knew her by sight and remembered her idiosyncrasies. Alicia is 100% responsible for teaching her a nail trim is not an amputation! ;>) Love this place.

Dr. Velasco has been my veterinarian for about ten years and has cared for four of my animals. She is compassionate and caring, not only for them but for me. I highly recommend her discretionary use of diagnostic tests, enough but not too much. She always takes my opinion into account. Bethany Family Pet Clinic is a well-run and personal veterinary clinic that caters to cat and dog owners. I've taken my dogs here for about 5 years. The clinic is well run with organized systems, personable staff, and knowledgeable vets. They are open 7 days per week which is a real bonus. Pets seem to get sick on weekends and being able to load up and haul them down on a weekend is terrific. Yesterday my puppy was acting sick. I rushed her down to the clinic, arriving around 6:30; they close at 7 on weekdays. My puppy received immediate and prompt care. Fortunately it was a false alarm, she is perfectly fine. But being able to arrive on a moment's notice was great. The routine of seeing a happy, healthy dog in the morning but coming home to a dog not feeling well after work and then not being able to see a vet in these after-work hours has ended for me because Bethany Family Pet was there for my dog during after-work hours.

The entire staff is courteous, helpful and compassionate and when I’m honest and say that I want to do the very best we can for our pets but we are on a tight budget, they will work with me to create a feasible care plan instead of being judgmental that I can’t pay thousands of dollars for heroics. I also like their drop off option - we recently needed to have our cat seen same day and I was able to drop off and pick up for a minimal extra charge.

We brought our cat for a check up and vaccinations. The caring, compassion and kindness they show goes above and beyond. It's so obvious how much they love animals. I came to understand that the Drs have special training in helping calm animals fears. Dr. Velasco spent plenty of time with us and we didn't feel like she was in a rush. She answered all of our questions. Dr. Velasco was awesome! We used to come to this vet for years when we lived closer many years ago. We went to another vet after we moved which was much closer. I don't prefer to know my vet clinics well - it takes a good many years of annual checkups to get to know a clinic! However, while we were on vacation Bethany Family Pet Clinic not only took care of our very sick cat, they called me with daily updates, coordinated medical boarding drop-off and pick-up with our cat sitter, and got her stable enough to come home with me as soon as we got home. Their staff was excellent, making sure I knew what was happening and the right way to care for Juniper at home. Dr. Lariviere went above and beyond to make sure I felt included and comfortable with each progressive level of intervention. We still have some recovery ahead, but after just a year with Bethany - I know and trust them all: from the fellow Russian Blue owner who got me coffee to the surgeon who did her procedure. I called for a second opinion after our vet of 20 years told me my dog might have cancer and wanted to instantly charge me $500.00 for a cancer punch test after they had already charged me $150.00 for a fungal test that came back negative... anyways! I called 30 minutes to close and got Dr. Norman & he told me to bring my dog in even though he was full at almost closing time & he showed an actual interest in my concerns and took the time to not only get my dog seen right away but wave my exam fee for that trip. He stayed after closing time to answer my questions & we scheduled an appointment. I was so pleased i was able to ask questions and not feel like what i was asking was dumb as he showed great concern for the same things i was worried about. He did a needle test for cancer that was half the price of my normal vet and he did a couple other things at no charge that i didnt even expect from him. He also gave us a cream to use meantime until our results came back and today, 3 days later he called with the results & told us it wasnt cancer but something we had already pretty much suspected but were steered away from by our other vet (whom we've gone to for 20 years) & told cancer to get us to fork over more money. I have only taken my dog to Bethany for this one issue but I can say that i am transferring veterinarian care for my dog to Dr. Norman as he is compassionate about his job and doing everything he can to help your pet. They are awesome! I'm a happy camper with answers and a otherwise healthy dog. Thanks guys!

I was referred to BFPC by my brother when I moved here in 2016. My bullldog came down with a weird stomach ache suddenly so I crossed my fingers and brought him in and I couldn’t have been happier. Shortly after that, his allergies went crazy and he started losing patches of hair. During this visit, we were matched with Dr. Lariviere and I’m so unbelievably grateful. She is utterly amazing, calm, patient and so caring. I always tried to make an appointment with her when I could however, when I did have to see another vet, the service was still phenomenal. The front staff is amazing and helpful and so sweet. Sadly I recently had to say goodbye to my boy but Dr. Lariviere walked me through the process and allowed me all the time that I needed to say goodbye. Just got home from seeing Dr Lariviere for my dog's injured foot. It was my first visit and I was very impressed by the level of care we received. To start with, I have a Belgian malinois who is also a working dog, and not exactly good news for the uninformed vet tech. That said, everyone here handled my dog very professionally and gently. He never looked as though he felt afraid, never growled, etc. The vet and techs here (I think I interacted with 4 of them, which shows what an integrated team BFPC must have) all worked with me collaboratively, even inviting me back to have a look at my dog's foot while he was under sedation (done as a precaution/to cause less pain and stress). They gave him a nail trim while he was under, weren't hesitant to discuss pricing and options, and were even open on a Sunday (which is a lifesaver because I will never set foot in a Banfield), and mother's day, no less! The office was very sanitary, had separate waiting areas and exam rooms for dogs and cats, and the staff were all professional and friendly. Pricing was not bad (again, especially for a place open on Sunday), and no one ever tried to sell me anything or talk down to me. I have no issues with my current vet, but I plan to switch to BFPC for regular vet visits. Once again, very impressed. No hyperbole necessary!

Recently found this vet as I was looking for a vet that could do some extra surgeries my dog needed. Staff is absolutely wonderful! I've taken my dog there now for annual checkups and vaccines, along with TPLO surgery (torn ACL). My dog healed wonderfully and Dr. Merrill was great at walking me through the entire process from start through recovery. My dog again torn his other ACL (sad day!) and gets another surgery soon, and it's nice not having to worry about it and knowing he's going to be in good hands again. They stay pretty true to their appointment times and they also email me back when I request, which is oddly hard to get other people to do.

After taking my skittish, vet-hating Siberian cat Gracie to a couple of other vets and having not so pleasant experiences, I was reluctant to try a new place. She is normally a very happy, healthy cat and I knew I couldn't put off getting her annual check up, especially since she is getting older (7). I decided to try Bethany Family Pet Clinic. They are located close to home and the car ride wouldn't be so traumatic for her (her previous vet was 30 minutes one way). Once there, Gracie settled down and stopped meowing. When Dr. Norman came in and started her exam, she settled down even more and even started to purr a little! Dr. Norman followed up after her lab tests came back and was very helpful and clear about explaining the tests and what the results meant. He is very compassionate and caring and both Gracie and I have found the perfect vet!

Bethany Family Pet Clinic's staff really goes above and beyond. We adopted 2 kittens to provide some companionship for our 16y/o cat, Charles. Coincidentally, 2 days after bringing them home, Charles stopped eating and was vomiting. We were extremely worried and thought we made a mistake bringing home the kitties. We took Charles in to Bethany Family Pet Clinic and we saw Dr.'s Liu and Reyes. They took EXCELLENT care of Charles and did a great job explaining what they thought might be going on and the best course of treatment to getting him back to good health. OF course, all of this happened while I was away for a work trip. My wife called one night in a panic because she was having trouble giving meds to Charles. I sent an email to BFPC that night asking for someone to call my wife to offer some advice on how best to medicate a cat (no easy task). Well, the staff took it to the next level. They offered to send someone to our house to assist with medicating Charles. My wife and I were extremely appreciative of this offer! 1week after taking Charles in to Bethany, he was mostly back to his normal self; eating, drinking, and socializing again. We were truly worried that he wasn't going to pull through after a bout of pancreatitis, but the doctors' treatment plan work beautifully. We would recommend Bethany Family Pet Clinic to anyone. They are compassionate, caring and their customer service is next-level.
