North Kenilworth has always seen our dogs since we first brought them home. We recently had a scare with our oldest and they were so quick to act and squeeze us in to address the problems right away. Dr. Young is AMAZING with our dogs and they get so excited to see her. I have so much gratitude for this office! A huge thank you to all of the amazing staff that works here!

This place is wonderful! I've been bringing my four boys here for years, and as a dog-sitter to many other canine companions, I'm always happy to recommend it. The staff are always thoughtful, and kind. They have their own parking area, which is great, and also doubles as a waiting/walking area. They have an app to help you keep track of schedules, and earn discounts. In short, while going to the vet can be a scary experience for pups, I always feel like my boys are well-loved, and looked after when I bring them here -- and it's always smooth for me, their person, as well!

North Kenilworth Veterinary has always been so kind to me and my dog. My dog was always super anxious and could be aggressive going to a check up, even though he’s a small little chihuahua. It was time to let my dog go and they were able to help with the procedure. It was a hard thing to do but the doctor and nurse helped me so much and explained everything. We love N. Kenilworth! Doctors and staff are both great and they have their own parking lot (which is kind of a big deal because parking in that area isn't always the easiest to find!). The services here are top notch and they really care about their patients as well as the "parents" of their patients.

So lucky to live in the neighborhood and be a client at this wonderful clinic. Their operations are always on point (through covid and all), meaning you never wait long and always get clear timelines and prices. Their doctors and staff are truly the best! Dr. Kirk has seen Zuri a few times (regular appt and emergency) and is just so educated, kind, and easy to work with. Zuri is a bundle of problems (gotta love her!) between epilepsy, anxiety, and a mischievous streak, and they are always so patient and understanding, no matter what Zuri's mood or circumstances are that day. Truly so lucky to work with this amazing team!

Millie loves her vet! 💕 I am so glad we chose this vet when we first got our puppy last year. We moved about 25 minutes away but still come here because no other vet compares to them. Dr. Young is amazing and really did save our dogs life by taking the time to figure out what was wrong with her. We really appreciated that she didn’t run any unnecessary, costly tests, only what she thought would give us answers and did them one step at a time. They are very responsive and flexible. We got our pup from a dog rescue and they use North Kenilworth Veterinary Care and recommended us to them when our sweet girl got sick and needed some help. They got us in quickly, assessed the situation, set our minds at ease and set in on fixing our girl. That was 6 years ago and we have been taking our dog there ever since. I have lived in many places with 4 different springers in my life and North Kenilworth Vet Care is the best. I always use them but was in a panic one morning early when my Miss Lady woke me up screaming in a voice that reflected excruciating pain and I could not reach North Kenilworth, and they were much further away than VCA McCormick; I went there only to find in my experience, that they not only over charging but gave Miss Lady a shot that did not even come close to touching her pain, then charged me almost 3 times what I normally would spend, then sent us packing with a recommendation to their sister Neurological hospital where they wanted over $1800.00 for an MRI just to get started. I then was able to make contact with North Kenilworth Vet Care where they took me right in on an Emergency, and after an examination of Lady said; first we need to take care of her excruciating pain and proceeded to give her a strong pain killer which started to work very quickly, along with 2 other medications, and spent the time it took to get Miss Lady comfortable for a more in depth exam. The kept her over night, gave me a very logical and reasonable explanation and cost for what had been done, and I picked Miss Lady up the next morning where she was 90% improved without spending over $1800.00 for a needless MRI as VCA was going to charge as a starting point. I took Miss Lady home with 3 different medications, enough for a week and North Kenilworth called every day to see how Miss Lady was doing, all this for a fraction of the cost I was headed for with VCA. I think VCA McCormick Ranch is far to used to dealing with clients with more money than brains, and they know if your beloved pet is in excruciating pain you will do or pay anything to get them out of pain. My Miss Lady was in Excruciating Pain for 2 hours longer than she should have been thanks to VCA. Thank God for the compassionate knowledgeable Dr. Holmes and the wonderful staff at North Kenilworth Vet Care on McDowell Rd. in Phoenix. These wonderful people care more about the animals in his care than making a quick buck. I have found in general the closer you are to Scottsdale and the North East area, the office visits and procedures double and you are just another deposit to their bottom line.

Dr. Holmes loves cats, which is awesome! He actually loves all animals but it is always nice to see someone that holds a special place in their hearts for felines. He also came out to the vehicle to discuss the visit. He personally made the trip which means a lot.

Who knew a bunny is considered an exotic pet? Dr Holmes, one of the few rabbit specialists in Phoenix, has been seeing our bunny for the last 4 years and takes great care of him. Trax is a house rabbit who does not like to be picked up so he makes regular visits to the clinic to get his nails trimmed between check-ups. We also adopted a stray calico cat that AZ Humane Society wrote off when we took her there. We brought her to NKVC and Dr Hoffman was much more positive and helped save her. She is now a happy, healthy cat that gets along with our rabbit! Friendly, caring staff!

We had been on the waitlist at this clinic for many months, and so far it has been worth the wait! Dr. Young and the rest of the staff at North Kenilworth are just fabulous. They are very knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through my pets' health histories and offer different treatment recommendations. It never has felt like we were being rushed or pressured to purchase something. I've been very nervous about getting a dental cleaning for my cat, given the risk of anesthesia, but I do feel safe with my pets being under the care of Dr. Young. The clinic itself is very nice — the rooms are clean and well-designed, and the location is very central and easy to get to. If you can get in here, do! While we were on the waitlist we went to a few other vets in the valley — VCA in Scottsdale was pretty nice but very very expensive, and Animal Care Hospital of Phoenix did our cat's bloodwork improperly and lost our other cat's records. We hope that our pets are well taken care of at North Kenilworth for years to come!

We have really loved this clinic. Working with Dr. Young has been great. She takes time to answer all questions and doesn’t pressure clients into decisions or procedures. The techs are always wonderful and knowledgeable as well. Sometimes it can take a while to get in but they offer cancellation list appointments as well for more urgent matters. Great practice!

North Kenilworth is the best vet we have ever been to! They are so good with our animals (a dog and a cat) - they obviously care deeply about the well-being of our fur-babies, and they are open and honest about any costs that might be associated with their care. Our cat recently had dental work, and the doctor called us on a Saturday, from their home, to make sure that she had recovered okay and wasn't having any side effects from the medication. That's a level of service that I hadn't expected, but am incredibly grateful for.

I moved to AZ almost 2 years ago and needed a new vet for my fur baby. I originally took her to one in Laveen, but felt the money was more important than the care given. Im so glad I ended up finding North Kenilworth! From the receptionists, to the doctors, they made sure they took care of my sweet little girl. I sadly lost her last year, but the care provided to her up until her last days was outstanding. I can't thank them enough. I have never been to North Kenilworth for a personal pet, but the strays I have brought in to check for a chip have been reunited with their families thanks to the staff. Dr. Hoffman is very good with our golden retrievers. He takes his time to hear our questions and is very professional. We recently took our litter of puppies that my doggies had and they were so caring and explained everything so good. We had an amazing experience with this office. After going to other vets and feeling rushed and not informed, this was such a refreshing visit! They worked us in the same day we called and were very thorough with their instructions and information—which was very appreciated. They also had wonderful personal touches that made us feel good about leaving our cat there for treatment. They sent us an update picture text with how he was doing a few hours in. The vet called me personally and explained what was going on. The vet tech came to my car with him and explained everything in more detail and answered all our questions. Finally, they followed up with us a week later to see how our cat was doing and if he was improving and if we had any questions/concerns. Definitely recommend this vet clinic for your fur baby!

Golden Retrievers

We take our 3 golden retrievers. They have been amazing with them! They are so good at there job that sometimes is hard to get an appointment for sick dogs. I hate that I have to go elsewhere but I also understand that they are busy with other animals to care for. They’re so understand, friendly and caring. Dr Hoffman listens so well to your concerns and takes his time to explain everything. I’m sure the rest of the Vets are the same. We love this place! When we get an appointment we love taking our doggies there. Well recommend just expect long wait for an appointment.

I LOVE North Kenilworth Veterinary Care! The pick up the phone, they are EXCELLENT at answering questions on the phone. The visits are well priced! And the doctors and staff-AMAZING! The babies seem to not be as afraid of the staff. My Li Li does not need to be muzzled during exams...at least that I know of. My Delilah was VERY well cared for until and even at her passing. They recently did dental work on Li Li and she is like a NEW puppy even though double digits of her teeth were extracted. She is doing AMAZING! THANK YOU for EVERYTHING! I love this practice and recommend any chance I get!

Everyone associated with this clinic cares so much, and it is evident in the way they conduct business. Every single interaction I’ve had, including just scheduling appointments over the phone, has been positive.They are so informative and are willing to answer any and all questions. The level of service you receive would come along with much higher prices at a different clinic. In addition to extraordinary service, up-selling has never occurred with us with either of our pups when they’ve had an appointment. We have never felt pressured into expensive procedures or medicine with our senior dog, or our new puppy. Efforts are always made to reduce the cost and ensure that we feel informed and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough, my husband and I absolutely love them!

We absolutely lovee North Kenilworth! Everytime we go or call, the vet techs are super helpful and very nice to us and our puppers!! Dr. Hoffman has been the best doctor we have seen and we have a 15 year old who has been to many vets. He has made us feel super comfortable and answer all of our questions. I decided after receiving horrible service from another vet to return to Kenilworth. I am glad I did, I took my dog and cat there and the staff were friendly and very informative. I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful practice. The prices are more affordable than other vet offices we've tried in the valley, but far better than that is the caring, knowledgeable staff. Every associate we've met has been incredible, and we are so grateful for the compassion they show our dog (as well as her human parents). We switched to NKVC late in our dog's life, and our only regret is we didn't find Dr. Holmes and his team years ago.

Angels work here. The doctors and staff at North Kenilworth deserve more than five stars. After a horrifying experience at another clinic in town they got us right in, discovered my girl’s problem and had her in surgery within 24 hours. They treated us both with love, compassion and kindness. I have seen both Dr. Hoffman and Dr. Channing for my dog and cat for a couple of years now. I have had great experiences with both of them plus all the AMAZING vet techs. The staff remembers my dog and his quirks and always make accomodations for him upon arriving to reduce his stress. Dr. Hoffman did my dog's surgery. My dog was born blind and needed an eye removed and was a complicated patient because he had kidney disease. It couldn't have gone better and the scar left behind is tiny and his face looks great. He gets compliments, even from his vet opthalmologist, on the quality of the surgery. He has also seen my dog urgently for emergencies, saving me hundreds to thousands by avoiding blue pearl. He responds to email questions thoughtfully and promptly which is another awesome bonus. I only saw Dr. Channing recently - I think she is kind of new to the practice - for my cat and also loved her "bedside manner". She explained things thoroughly, but in an accessible way. She made sure we knew the risks and benefits of a procedure. She also made sure all of our concerns were settled before we left. Lastly, she mentioned her dad is a veterinarian as well which I felt increased my confidence too. Lastly, this vet's office is very affordable and fair in my opinion. They don't do excessive tests (unless you want them). Sometimes, Dr. Hoffman has told me that he feels a test isn't necessary as he feels good about his diagnosis. Because I'm a worried dog mom, I opt for it to be 100% sure. He's been right without the test each time! I just love this place and the care and experience the entire team brings to the table. September 2021 update: This team never ceases to amaze me with the level of care they offer my dog who has special needs. I am so thankful for them.

Even in the midst of a pandemic, the staff at North Kenilworth Vet Care was amazing. They came out and greeted my puppy and I, answered all of my questions and then scooped him up, tail wagging and all and brought him out with his tail still wagging shortly after. The vet came out to my car and relayed the details from the puppy shots, exam, and again answered millions of questions all with care and patience. I am so thankful that I live so close to this spectacular vet and am looking forward to our next visit.

They didn’t up-sell treatments or tests but recommended reasonable and appropriate preventative measures for my puppy, and discuss his care in a way that was easy to understand and act on. I can’t begin to express my gratitude towards everyone at N Kenilworth. My dog has been my world for over 15 years and she has suffered from congestive heart failure for some time now, among other ailments due to age. Dr. Holmes is as good as it gets. There’s a selfish part of me that didn’t want to share this info because I wanted to keep him as available as possible. There’s no doubt in my mind that Dr. Holmes genuinely cares about his patients. He has gone above and beyond to address my concerns and has been thorough. He is the perfect balance of realistic, yet compassionate. I can’t finish this review without mentioning the support staff as well. This office is very busy, but efficient. I have seen the same faces since I began bringing my dog there. They communicate via email, which is super helpful with my busy schedule. The new app is easy to navigate and allows for easy prescription refills and appointment tracking. My emails are ALWAYS answered. I literally have nothing to criticize, not even constructively. In sum, I can’t imagine how I would cope with my dog’s condition and aging without N Kenilworth. Even though I want them all for myself/my pets, they deserve this review.

We were quite worried because we have had a lot of health issues with our senior poodle and we needed somebody who could understand our situation. Enter Dr. Channing at North Kenilworth. She and her team and have been incredible and have always put both of our dogs health above all. She is very understanding and actually cares about each detail regarding our dogs health. I've taken my two dogs and two cats to North Kenilworth ever since they opened in the neighborhood. Dr. Holmes, the other vets, and staff are always very caring and helpful. They provide good care and follow-up, and have been great about diagnosing and treating my dog Duke's chronic allergies. The office is always clean and pleasant.

It was different not escorting my two pets into see the vet (both the four year old cat and the one year old dog are quite apprehensive when going to the vet) but I felt comfortable. The staff wore mask and took both animals from my car and returned them. The doctor also came to the car wearing a mask to give me a report and explain all that transpired. I will continue to take my pets to North Kenilworth; they are great.

The staff are very kind and responsive. I take my chihuahua-terrier mix here for check-ups, nail trimming, anal gland express, and vaccinations. I can usually get an appointment within 2 weeks of requesting one. The assistants who answer the phones are also helpful and provide basic advice. My dog was having diarrhea so I called to schedule an appointment, but the office assistant explained I should try giving my dog a bland diet first, and that helped clear it up.

This staff has always made me feel welcome and that my cat sons are in good hands. We've been through colds, stomatitis, lymphoma...the works. Caring, professional doctors who take their time, follow up calls on pet patients, and quick treatment are all things you can expect. Fair pricing on a lot of treatments as well. I've been a client for over 8 years now and I'm proud to call this place my neighborhood vet. Highly recommend.

Can’t RAVE about this place enough!!!!! I called in for an emergency visit because my dog did not look well they were able to squeeze me in that same day! turns out my dog had a really bad urinary infection and required surgery. From the front desk, vet techs, nurse and dr Channing everyone was extremely friendly and caring of our fur baby! Dr Channing followed up days after the surgery to check up on Coco. it’s now over a month and dog has fully recovered and doing better than ever. Also prices are extremely reasonable!

My pet came down with an ear infection pretty fast and I needed to get him in fast. They went above and beyond to squeeze him in to get treated. They where friendly, responsive and professional!!! Best thing is... my beloved bud doesn’t have an ear infection anymore. They accept United pet Care too which is a total bonus because it saved me money on my visit! Dr. Holmes and the entire staff is amazing! My little dog Astro has had a couple surgeries there so far. He didn’t seem to be healing or recovering as quickly from his second knee surgery, so Dr. Holmes did a small follow up procedure to make sure Astro had the best outcome possible. Astro is doing great now. They always work with me on price and with my pet insurance. The staff always make time for me for questions and appointments. They are responsive and really care about animals - this is not just a job for them! As long as I live in the Valley, I will be coming here for all my pet’s needs.

I had by far the BEST experience here, out of any vet I've ever been. My cat tore his nail completely off, exposing the quick. I called them in a panic, and they were able to get me in very quickly. They were so nice to me, and treated my cat (who was very grumpy and stressed out) amazingly. They were extremely informative about what had happened, and the best course of action, AND gave me different options - but 100% let me make the decision. Very friendly and empathetic staff in a conveniently-located, historical facility. My cat was having some dental issues so I called on Saturday morning at 9am to make an appointment. The first available was Wednesday which I accepted although I wanted earlier. Within 10 minutes utes, they called with an opening that day at 10:30am. The building is a really cool historical home that has been restored and updated. Plenty of parking and easily accessible. The staff immediately took us back to an exam room and everyone was extremely friendly to both me and the cat. They did a great job of explaining our options and providing services. Very pleased.

I have been going to North Kenilworth for about 10 years. I started with them when I moved into the area. But when I purchased my home there was a veterinarian practice closer to my home. Their office was open 7 days a week from 8 to 10 and since I was still working it was easier. The problem was because of the hours there were a large number of vets and you rarely saw the same vet twice. In addition they only knew what was on the chart but they didn't seem to share information with each other. At the time I had a senior cat with cancer that was being managed with medication that made her comfortable. But when I took her in for a checkup the vet that day had no compassion and thought it wasn't worth the trouble to make her comfortable since she was going to die anyway. I have never kept a pet alive just for me, but if they can still have a good quality of life with medication then I do that. I made an appointment that day with North Kenilworth and haven't gone anywhere else since then. I have 6 cats that are all rescues which means that some have issues both physically and emotionally. Three of them are on medication. While I usually try to see Dr. Holmes because I started with him, that is not always possible. The difference at North Kenilworth is there are only 3 vets who do share information with each other and aren't just reading off a chart. They are all understanding and compassionate and realize that pet owners sometimes need reassurance when dealing with an animal that has chronic or serious health issues. The entire staff is also wonderful, caring and knowledgeable. Whenever I call with a question the staff can usually answer it, but if not they will check with the vet and get back to me the same day. When the time comes to let a pet go they are gentle, loving and emotionally supportive. They even put a candle in front of a small sign on the counter that asks other pet owners waiting to be a little quieter than usual and why. I can't say enough good things about the veterinarians and staff at North Kenilworth. If you haven't been there and want quality, supportive veterinary care for your pet this is the place to get it.

I can't recommend this place enough. I recently took one of my dogs here after she began throwing up and stopped eating on/off. The entire staff is so friendly, caring, and got me in quickly. And our appointments have always been so on time which I feel like hardly ever happens. We took everything step by step, instead of installing fear into me and spending a ton of money upfront. We found that my dog had a mass growing inside her intestines and needed to have it removed. They got her in for surgery the next day and the recovery has been incredible - with them checking in on her already a couple times at home. I cannot fully express my gratitude for North Kenilworth Veterinary Care. I took my beloved Russian Blue, Nicolai, to them after he had endured a chronic respiratory illness for too long that his previous vet seemed unable to identify despite thousands of dollars in tests. Within five minutes, North Kenilworth identified a mass in his mouth that was essentially advanced cancer. Despite the pandemic and it being close to the end of their business day, this vet gave us time to process the news and gather our family, gave me clear guidance on our options and provided incredible support as we made the difficult decisions to let him go and end his suffering. Last week we picked up his remains which were placed in a beautiful wooden box that included his name on a metal heart. In addition, they provided a cast of Nicolai's paw print. So much kindness and understanding, along with a clear focus on the animals they serve ensure that our furry family members will be served by this vet well into the future.

I've been going to North Kenilworth for approximately 4 years now and couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention both I and my critters receive. I primarily see Dr. Young and have been very happy with the care all of my pets have received. I would trust any of the veterinarians there and have always been seen quickly when the situation demanded it. Their prices are good and far less expensive than my last Vet Clinic although the care there was excellent as well. Unfortunately, Dr. Young has moved on but has been replaced with Dr. Channing. Dr's Holmes, Hoffman and Channing are all great and my critters don't mind going to the vet at all.

My kitty baby, Bootsie, had been sneezing for weeks, and North Kenilworth was both highly rated and close to the house to which I’d recently moved. I was able to get an appointment within a few days of calling, which was awesome considering their popularity. My appointment was during rush hour, which was the only downside due to traffic clogging up my only way in to the parking lot (the other way in/out is along a one-way street, and I was coming from the opposite way). That’s a downside to the physical location, though, not the office itself. The office itself is great! Small, quiet, and the whole staff was so kind and patient from the get go! My vet was also so gentle and sweet, we loved him!! He was realistic about Bootsie’s care needs, without trying to pile on unnecessary costs. Prices for the services I did get/will need were reasonable, which I was also definitely happy about! Bootsie and I both feel lucky to have found this place to be our home veterinarian! If my other kitty ever gets sick, I’ll be bringing her here, too.

I did not get to see him the first visit since one of my dogs had an injury and large tumor in his hind leg and they got me in the same day with Dr Hoffman. I took another dog to see Dr. Holmes and again, nothing but great staff, was seen right on time both visits and another call from the Dr. Regarding test results. I love the staff at North Kenilworth Vet Care. They really care about my cats. They always greet us by name when we walk in the door. I love Dr. Holmes. He always explains everything to me and lays out all the options. He doesn't push me to do unnecessary procedures. For instance, my 18 year old cat Patches has a mass on her nose. He biopsied it and found out that it's a benign tumor. He said we could just leave it because of her age and since it would require extensive cosmetic surgery. Also, I had to put down another elderly cat 2 years ago and the staff at NKVC were amazing. They were very understanding and kind to me. Oh, and they always fit me in if there's an emergency. They don't cost as much as other places, which is really nice. And, they take in homeless animals and find them homes. They truly are an asset to our community. NK is a little more pricey than some of the surrounding vets offices on paper, but their expertise, kindness, and professionalism is worth every penny. Additionally (though this is just a suspicion) I suspect they have gone the extra mile on more than one occasion without charging extra when they totally could have. I have a chihuahua with all of the unfortunate breed associations -- he's aggressive when he's scared, his teeth are bad, etc. I knew at some point that they would need to be removed and Dr. Channing did a great job of keeping him comfortable during the procedure, checking in on how he was healing, and educating me on how to be a better pet parent. I've always had pets, but for a long time I was under the impression that vets were only for "emergencies." They've never shamed me for that, instead focusing on what we can do in the present and in the future. They're amazing. I no longer live in Downtown Phoenix, and I have to Uber for every trip (I ride a motorcycle and will not risk my pets safety) but I joke to friends that I could move across the country and North Kenilworth would still be my vet. (Edited to add more context and praise because honestly they have been working SO hard during the pandemic and the techs there are especially amazing too.)

Dr. Holmes takes care of both my dogs. One of my dogs is not exactly easy. He is a rescue and his fear based behavior is off putting to say the least. Dr. Holmes is patient with him, takes his time to treat him. At this time they are doing curb side service. The tech comes out takes the pet inside and Dr. Holmes comes out after the exam and we go from there. It's a well put together system that works well.

I went today to put my dog to sleep after 16 years and I had never been to this vet. I went there because it was close to my house. They were kind , patient, accommodating to my large family on a holiday weekend. We were able to get a same day appointment. I called at 8 and was in at ten. I researched in advance for what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. It was a peaceful and moving journey and the dr explained everything until I asked him not to. No one wants to lose a family member but these guys were amazing and did a great job, so if you can come here to do just that they are great.

Friendly, affordable. Took care of my dogs very well on 2 occasions. Not pushy Update 7/9/20: I attempted to make an appointment last month for yearly vaccinations. I was told I was a month early and to wait to middle of July to call back. Today I called to be told the earliest available appointment was 3 weeks away and that "it should be okay as long as your dog doesn't need rabies". Well, I asked her to confirm if my dog needed the rabies vaccine or not, and she told me he does. So I asked her what the "grace period" was (if any) for getting the rabies vaccine. The county (or whatever) can charge you fees and so on if you don't get your rabies vaccine on time so I asked her to confirm that and she could not give me an answer but told me she "thinks" it will be ok. I told her if she couldn't give me any sort of concrete answer that I would have to find another vet. Her response: "ok I'll send the records over whenever you do." No loyalty=no patients. Later.

My most recent experience was with a very sick dog with critical diabetic ketoacidosis. I started taking my dog to North Kenilworth because it was really close to where I was living at the time. It was just for routine shots and simple things that needed to be addressed and I was always satisfied with the care they provided. A couple years ago my dog became very ill and Dr. Holmes diagnosed her with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Cinderella was very sick and I feared she was not going to make it because her red blood cells were very low. Dr. Holmes was very good about calling daily and keeping a close eye on how she was doing. She ended up needing a blood transfusion which Dr. Holmes met me at his office at 10:30 PM on a Friday night, along with Diana the vet tech. They kept a close eye on her all night and she slowly but surely got better. Cinderella has also become diabetic which has posed a few challenges along the way but Dr. Holmes and his entire staff have been no less than awesome along the way. I no longer live in that area but no matter where I live I will take my precious dog no where else by North Kenilworth Veterinary Care.

After a horrible emergency visit for my 17 year old chihuahua mix that basically told me "give me an estimated $1000..probably higher and even though the dog will probably not make it thru surgery I should be comforted that he wont be in pain" Thanks to my friends referral to North Kenilworth (their rescue organization takes all their worse cases to then) I was assured I was in the right place..They arranged to get me in right away after my vet's office couldnt get me in for 3 weeks. Upon arrival I was greeted and a room was already available. The staff at North Kenilworth was compassionate,professional and knowledgeable and Dr. Holmes actually does the procedures.He explained everything fully, was considerate of my financial limitations and respectful of my concerns.The biggest factor was that Krypto was extremely comfortable with him...IT WAS AMAZING!.This place is quite far from me but well worth the drive. I'll update after his surgery.

One of my rescue cats, Prissy, swallowed a piece of yarn and sounded like she was choking and kept vomiting. I contacted my regular vet and said I had an emergency situation and needed to see a vet that morning. My regular vet had no available appointments and made no provisions for an emergency and said I would need to wait at least a week for an appointment. (Second time this has happened at my regular vet). I started calling around and North Kenilworth, although they also had no available appointments, realized it was an emergency situation, and said to bring in Prissy and they would be sure and take care of her. I was fortunate enough to have Prissy placed in the capable hands of Dr. Channing who immediately got the situation under control. It was touch and go all day as to whether Prissy was going to need surgery and not only did Dr. Channing keep me informed by phone all day, but she also agreed to stay after hours to perform the surgery if it was needed. Before such a drastic measure was taken, Dr. Channing attempted everything possible to avoid surgery. Fortunately, Prissy did not end up needing the surgery and is now fine. I was so impressed with the care and taken by Dr. Channing and the rest of the team at North Kenilworth. I'm spoiled to ever use another vet again. I can't thank them enough.

Do to the virus we parked our car in the parking lot and called the office. Within 5 minutes a technician came and took our two dogs for treatment. The dogs needed rabies shots and one needed a ear infection exam. within 15 minutes the vet came to our car with a report. Within 30 minutes total our dogs were back to the car.
