I have brought my senior cat here a few times to see Dr. Rozak. The whole staff is kind and we really enjoyed Dr. Rozak. Unfortunately, I had to put my baby down, and brought her in for an urgent visit and had another doctor help us. I don’t remember that vets name but she was also amazing and extremely compassionate through the whole process. Obviously nobody ever wants to put their animal down but I couldn’t have asked for a better place to walk us through it. When I am eventually ready to open my heart up to adopting another animal I will definitely be bringing them here

This was Macie’s first visit to Rau. We were greeted outside with a friendly welcome. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We waited a little bit due to an earlier emergency, but Dr Rosenblatt came out to apologize for the delay and let us know she’d be with us shortly. Dr Rosenblatt was excellent! Macie liked her a lot. Even getting her ears checked and two booster shots!! Dr R was kind and calming. I’m grateful to have good vet care in the area!! Thanks!

The Rau staff is top notch--from the front desk staff to the nurses, techs and doctors, everyone is incredibly caring and accommodating. My two pups can be skittish at the vet, but the techs and docs are always extremely patient and sweet with them. The docs take their time to listen and explain all treatment options. We have never felt rushed or pressured.

Rau’s staff, both admin and medical, are absolutely fantastic. It’s usually pretty chaotic there, but they are always friendly and most importantly treat our dog with so much love. That said, it can be frustrating dealing with long wait times even when you have a specific time for your appointment. I’ve had to wait an additional 15-30 minutes almost every time I’ve gone in, though none of those were emergency visits in which case I’m confident things would be different. I’ve also had to play phone tag and call back a few times after being told I’d receive a call that never happened. Finally, Rau can be expensive - but to me it’s worth it because you definitely get what you pay for in terms of actual medical attention for your pet. All in all, I would highly recommend Rau to anyone in the area looking for people that truly care about animals. Just be prepared for a wallet hit and a wait.

I have been taking my pets to Rau for 18 years. They have always been great with us. Dr . Rozak has been particularly wonderful with our dog Abby who is a bit high maintenance . Dr. Rozak has made room for us when I know her schedule is packed. She has been kind and treated Abby with the utmost care. I definitely recommend them!

It took me awhile to get the initial visit. I think the wait was about a month. Once my cats had their initial visit, nothing ever took that long to get an appointment. In fact, they got me a same day appointment once and they're pretty good about their scheduling. That's the first thing I'm going to tell you so you don't get discouraged with your initial contact with them. You can tell that every member of that staff is an animal lover. They are genuinely happy to see every animal that walks through that door. There's something reassuring in knowing that these people see your little four-legged family members the same way you do. They are invested in their health. I've used their services three times now. I've even had to use them for surgery to have some of my cat's teeth removed that went bad. Everything went phenomenally. They were so kind and treated my girls the way I would have. I have anxiety and don't always communicate important things effectively. The staff at RAO patiently answered every single one of my what if scenario questions and helped me tremendously. They have a very patient staff even with the human animals. I found their prices to be very reasonable. I've used three other vets in my life and find their prices to be lower than expected. I really believe that these people are in it for the animals above all else. I had fantastic experiences with them and I'm glad that my children are in their care.

We recently transitioned all of our animals from our previous vet to Rau and I cannot say enough positive things about them! I started off by taking my senior pug over for a wellness visit, we saw Dr. Rosenblatt, who was absolutely lovely. I had more answers in 5 minutes about issues my pug has been having then I 've gotten in the past 2 years. I took my cat for a check-up too and Dr. Rosenblatt and the rest of the staff were fantastic with him. I convinced my sister to take her shih tzu who can be a bit nippy and defensive. (I don't know the doctor who had her but was told he was a male) Instead of putting a muzzle on her as previous places have done, the doctor worked with her and my sister so that the dog feel comfortable enough to get through her appointment. We also recently took my mom's Pomeranian who needed to be spayed and had a hernia repair. The surgery went great, staff made us feel extremely comfortable leaving her in their care. Also price was reasonable and 2-3k less than we were quoted when we took her to Blue Pearl/VSEC. Would highly recommend this practice....10/10.

Rau is great! A while back my puppy was sick and another vet he was going to could not see him for A MONTH! It wasn't the first time they told me to just take him to VSEC which also couldn't even see him because they were at capacity and were only taking critical patients. Even though my dog wasn't a patient at RAU yet, and they were swamped too, after hearing his symptoms and age they got him in within days and on the meds he needed. Ever since then I have only continued to have positive experiences with Rau. Its actually a little out of the way for me there are plenty of vets closer but I wouldn't trust my dog with anyone else!

They have great covid safety protocols. You pull in to a numbered parking space and someone comes out to check you in. They come out and take your baby pets in. They then correspond via your cell phone. You even pay for the visit via your cell phone. We took our baby kitty in and felt she was in good hands as we worked through diagnosing her tummy issue. And while the do not have ultrasound capabilities here, the referred us to a hospital who could.

We first came to Rau Animal Hospital because they were the only vet in our area where we could get our cat, Cooper, seen on what turned out to be his last day with us. The staff was so kind and caring and took such good care of our little friend who was in so much pain by the time we made it to their office. When we finally felt able to open our hearts and home to another furry friend, there was no other choice in our minds who our veterinarian would be. Rau has a great, devoted, knowledgeable staff who go the extra mile to make sure you and your pets are well taken care of and satisfied with their services. They seem to genuinely care about and for each animal who walks (or crawls) through their door. We have now added a new puppy to our family and are very proud to call Rau Animal Hospital our veterinarian for all our furry friends.

I went to Rau to pick up my dog, Adrienne's, footprints from when she was euthanized last year. They were very nice and kind. They tried to save my baby, but her cancer was too far gone. They helped her go peacefully and really made the experience so much better for myself and my daughter. They liked my dog so much that several staff members were in tears right along with us. I worked at Rau many years ago and the care they give animals and their owners too, is unsurpassed.

After the death of our previous much-loved vet, we decided to stick with the new owner; however, little by little we found things that we were uncomfortable with. We were not permitted to be present when our lab was being examined, for one. It was our future daughter-in-law who recommended Rau. From the time we pulled up for our first appointment, everyone was warm and welcoming. The office itself is warm and welcoming and meticulously clean. Dr. Eisenstein took her time with Hooper and even sat on the floor with him - we could tell that our Hooper felt very comfortable with her. We are so happy that we have switched over - thank you all!

I went to Rau for the first time. I wanted to switch because my aunt went there with her dog and I felt like I needed to find a vet that was closer to home. I am really excited about the switch. My prior vet was good too, but the staff made myself and my dog (Nelly) both feel comfortable during our visit. Nelly wanted to look out the window and they told her she could sit on the bench to do so to keep her calm. They offered her a few treats throughout her visit and were really happy to accommodate her. One thing I liked is that they didn't try to upsell me on a bunch of shots and products. She got what she needed and we were on our way.

Rau has always taken great care of my dog. We recently had a visit for a paw injury and when the vet did her assement to listen to his heart she found a murmur. I was devastated, but she listened an additional 2 times just to be sure. He needs a cardiac workup which is fine because I want to make sure he is ok. They have veterinary cardiologist who comes a few times a month and I was able to get in sooner than I thought.

Rau has been our vet for well over a decade. They are professional and friendly, and always listen to my concerns and questions. They always follow up a sick visit or procedure with a call from the nurse the next day to check in and address any issues. They are taking good precautions for Covid to protect themselves, the pets and their customers. The office is always clean and well kept.

I've only had good experiences here! I have two cats that have been with the practice since 2015 and a new puppy. They allow my two cats to come in together which makes my life so much easier. Since my dog is still a puppy, I wanted to keep is appointments separate. As of May 2022, they are allowing owners to come in as long as they are masked!

This was my first vet visit with my first cat so I was a little nervous but the people were soooo kind. And they treated my cat like he was the most important ball of fluff in the world. They were so gentle and sweet with him. They also did a great job of talking me through all my options and not pushing expensive add-ons to me like people have said other vets do. I felt very confident as I was leaving that the health of my cat was in really, really good hands with them.

This was my 2nd visit and my first time I was able to accompany my Lab into the facility. Dr. Murphy was very thorough and explained exactly what was going on with my dog. She provided meds to help with the arthritis in her hips and knees and even recommended sticky paw pads as a way to give her the stability and confidence she needs to walk on hardwood floors without collapsing. They work great! We were taken into the facility immediately upon arrival and did not wait to be seen.

The doctor and the assistant came down on the floor with us to do their job. Im still mourning but grateful that our beloved went to sleep in peace with us being the last things she seen. Although I did not take my pets here, they were incredibly helpful. One of my cats was in a health crisis, and I called them right before they closed. The woman I spoke with was calm, but honest about me needing to take him somewhere quickly. She spent her time getting me phone numbers and locations to help my baby. I appreciate it endlessly.

These guys are the BEST vet! I have many clients who use them (I’m a pet sitter) and have taken a couple client dogs here while owners were away. They gave quick, attentive, and knowledgeable care. I took my own dog here for a broken nail when our vet was closed, and since he’s accident prone, we’ve been here a few more times since last minute. I decided to switch to them as my full time vet because they keep saving our butts in our time of need, and I can tell they really care about me and my pets. When I mistakenly called this hospital thinking they were a 24 hour vet, they spent a great deal of time talking me through a health concern with my dog- even though we aren’t patients there, and despite it being 5 minutes before they closed. They provided me with excellent advice, as well as being extremely caring and thoughtful. We ended up taking to our dog to an emergency vet for treatment and she’s recovering well. Meanwhile, they called me the next day to check in. Incredibly kind and genuinely caring staff. If we ever need a new vet, this is the first place we would call.

Sadly my only two experiences were a senior cat check up 6 months ago which went smoothly and easily, and when I had my very old buddy euthanized a couple weeks ago. They were BEYOND accommodating and I cannot sing the praises of their bedside manner enough. Saying goodbye to a furry pal is excruciating and I still miss him so much; they made his transition smooth and let me be in my grief as much as I needed. The people at Rau have hood hearts, of this I am sure.

We’ve been with RAU for a little over a year now and the doctors’ are fantastic. Doctors’ Murphy and Berardino are extremely thorough in their explanations when running through their physical exams of our golden and very patient with questions we had (we tend to be nervous pet parents). The only issues we’ve had is with calling medication in to change pharmacies and it still being called into the old pharmacy. Receptionists for awhile, every time we called, had a hard time finding us/our pet. It also seems when we call, they can come off a little harsh. Overall, experience is wonderful. Thank you RAU.

When I called them about my brother's cat, MJ they initially gave me a appt that was about 2 weeks away. After we spoke over the phone, she called me back that day and told me they had made room for her within the week and would I like to bring her in? Of course, we went and they were the most personable and caring staff. We got lost and were a little late, but they were waiting outside for us. They took the time to go over all procedures and recommendations, didn't charge me until I agreed and treated MJ with love and compassion and concern. I took my Gracie to another vet and though they were good, I will now be going to RAU for any follow-up with my baby. The office was clean, well-lit, happy personalities and just a good vibe from all staff members.

My dog's veterinarian Dr. Brianne O'Loughlin was extremely attentive and made sure we understand the instructions of caring for my dog for the past two months. Rau is the best place to bring your animals for care. They are all kind, considerate and very caring people from the receptionist to all of the Dr.'s that have taken care of my kitty. They are following CDC guidelines in that they come out to your car to receive your pet wearing masks ( and ask that you do the same). Just took my kitty there for the first time very very nice staff the place is very well run. They weren't overly pushy with vaccines which I really appreciated. They prescribed a powder to put on the cat's food to help him with his vomiting so far so good the cat actually likes it so it's easy to give it to him.

I first came to Rau to care for my cat of many years, when I woke up and she was bleeding. She needed immediate help and other locations wouldn't see her as she hadn't been in care. Rau agreed to see her, she had cancer. I felt the staff were very caring and delivered passionate care for her through her end of life. Having a comfort room to grieve with your loved companion was an experience that I will treasure, along with her paw print. As a first time pet owner, I wasn't aware of the neccessity of regular visits for an indoor pet. Since then we have adopted 2 lovely girls. Both cats are seen and treated with the same compassionate care. Rau's staff are the best.

We've had a mixed experience with Rau. I generally believe that the staff and doctors are genuinely devoted to their patients and customers and they have their best interests in mind. But some of the doctors seem to engage in quite a bit of cross-selling of services and products that they offer/carry in their office. We've also experienced lengthy wait times for scheduled appointments, usually with no explanation or apology for the inconvenience. I also have done some informal comparisons with friends and colleagues and Rau appears to be markedly more expensive than other alternatives. That said, their care is consistently effective and they have an extensive schedule -- we rarely wait more than a day for an appointment. We'll keep bringing our current dogs to them given our history with them, but if we were to adopt another animal, I'd be inclined to start him with a different practice.

After disappointing experiences with many closer vets, I drive 40 minutes each way to take our pets to Rau. The office is welcoming and well-run, the doctors and friendly and knowledgeable. And they've never pushed us into any treatment, always provided options. When it became apparent that our last cat was finally losing his battle with cancer, we took him in to be put down and were greatly relieved to find they have a whole room for that; you can sit with your pet, on a sofa, and take as long as you need.

This is only my second visit to Rau, and my first with my large American Staffordshire. Dr Murphy and assisting nurse know the breed and just gave him lots of positive praise. I appreciate this as the last vet I went to, I could tell she was not a fan of the breed. The service, diagnosis, and fees all work out to very manageable. You get a lot of value here at Rau and the nicest people. So a huge thumbs up for me.

Our first encounter with Rau tells the whole story. Our older cat George was in the early stages of kidney failure. One morning we found that one of his back legs was completely lame. We called our "regular vet" and they said 'sorry, can't see him, good luck.' Called Rau, where we had never been before, and they said to bring him right over. I went to the "regular vet" to pick up his records. They had no patients waiting, and the staff seemed to be twiddling their thumbs. We arrived at Rau and they clearly hustled to fit George in between regular appointments, given his condition. They got George sorted out that day and helped us with his care until his last happy day. Rau has been our regular vet ever since and our cats have received wonderful care there. Their facility is terrific and the care they give our pets is really thoughtful. I especially love their attention to pain management, which some vets don't worry about. Rau is the gold standard in animal healthcare. The current pandemic is no exception. I brought my Glen of Imaal terrier in for her annual vaccinations and routine testing. They called the week prior to confirm the upcoming vaccinations and the cost for each. We discussed any outstanding issues over the phone. I brought her in for her scheduled appointment. I called from the parking lot upon arrival and someone came to my car to get her. She was inside for 10 minutes and went through a weight and stool test and received her vaccines. They brought her back to my car and then called me in the parking lot for payment. They emailed me a receipt and a report on her appointment. I couldn’t be more pleased about their continuing care and their level of care for my best girl.

There are ups and downs. The good: Generally there are good vets, some I felt more listened more than others but certainly all wanted to help, but there is often not a whole lot of communication between them. They also are usually pretty good about getting appointments quickly when needed. The not so good: They tend to be pricey. We're now on our fourth time on hold trying to have our dogs' records sent to our new vet (we've moved to a different state). After over a week of trying he's ran out of his prescription we were attempting to refill. Each time we've called we've been told a new reason as to why it wasn't done (someone else's fault or breakdown in communication), each time it'll happen that day, next morning, we never hear again, it never happens. I guess once you leave them they really don't care.

Rau has been my family's go-to for Veterinary Care since my Dad was a child. The care and attention provided to our pets has always been exceptional! I myself take my 14 year old cat to Rau. She requires sedation at every visit and the staff are just wonderful with her, despite her difficult nature. The staff are wonderful when it comes to answering questions and ensuring you understand what is happening with your pets' health. I love their new reminder system (a post card, and e-mail if you are registered). The post-card outlines exactly what your pet needs at their next appointment. I find the prices to be on par with the care we receive. I am quite lucky to have "inherited" this wonderful practice for my pet.

She often needed to be seen on an emergency basis and long into the night. This is a long time established veterinary practice. They can do everything from trimming the nails of a dog to dental work and limited surgery. The office staff are always amiable as are the techs, nurses and doctors. They can do x-rays there however, they cannot do ultrasound. They are a little bit pricey for the service but do give you a one-two-one time with the veterinarian. They do have various open hours lasting into the evening, which is good for those of us who work. As well as Saturday morning hours. I feel that the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate especially when you're dealing with the possibility of euthanizing your pet. When it comes to matters like that they do go the extra mile to help the pets family grieve privately with a entrance and space specifically designed for that purpose.

They do everything in-house (including dental work, surgeries, routine exams, and grooming) and I've taken full advantage of this perk. The staff is generally very nice and helpful and Dr. Kirchhoffer is hands-down THE BEST vet I've EVER used. (Be aware of some of the doctors who try to scare you into expensive tests.) Esther is a superb groomer! The vet techs are competent (even with a berserk cat) and nice. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service I receive at Rau and will continue to use them for the life of each of my pets!

As Rau solicited via email that we give them a review, here it is; We have taken our 15 year old Border Collie nearly all of life to Rau and now our 2 cats as needed.. They are very good and caring. They offer top quality care and the best in up-to-date Technology and equiptment. However they are very expensive. As we have found a much less expensive, but much less convenient vet at third and poplar in the city we have not been going to Rau. Our dog needed a growth removed Rau quoted between $800 to $1200 plus, we had it done for $480 and had an excellent experience. For an emergency we would certainly go to Rau, but for routine care and simple problems I can not justify the cost.

Since she left Aston I took Jazzy to see her at Rau & she continues to be incredibly caring & so thorough with explaining what is going on. Jazzy will be 15 in October & I believe it's due to the wonderful care she received from Dr. Murphy when she went through numerous conditions. I appreciate the consistently caring and gentle approach I’ve seen Rau’s vets have with my animals. They have great hours and I’ve found all of their staff to be caring and patient. It was difficult finding a new vet after a very bad experience with our prior vet. We learned about AAHA accreditation and searched exclusively for vets with that accreditation to ensure that what happened at our prior vet’s would never happen again. That’s how we found Rau. Knowing that Rau performs up to AAHA accreditation standards allows me peace of mind, and my experiences with Rau’s vets has only increased that peace of mind. Especially when our most senior cat had sudden and untreatable problems last December, our usual vet was not working that day but I could not have asked for more compassion, professionalism, and well-communicated information than the vets who did tend to our cat that day. I had not known prior that Rau has a bereavement room, but I learned firsthand that day and it was so very helpful to have the time in that special space to spend our last hours with our cat. I am grateful to be within driving distance of Rau, and will continue to take my animals there as long as they continue doing what they do as mentioned above.

I have seen staff come and go over the years, but I have never been disappointed with anyone caring for my pets. Recently when I had to say goodbye to my 12 y/o springer spaniel, my baby, Ginger, Dr. Bernardino sat with us and cried with us...cried with us...and I am certain that would have been the same with any of the docs there. A heart murmur was discovered and four teeth had to be removed, making the operation extremely delicate and difficult I'm sure. New to Rau, we were referred to them by a vet in our area who was closing before I could get there. It was to have my cat cremated after a screw up at my long time vet. Rau had us come to a seperate entrance where everything was done quietly and respectfully. I since have had my other cat there for a rabies shot and wellness check, again satisfactorily. We got a rescue cat and Rau has coached us thru the introduction phase. Their advise seems to be working but it is a slow process. Four stars now because we have limited experience but the experience has been really good.

When I had a problem with my Sheltie I had called Rau and their schedule was booked but they got me later that night and thank God they did because she was very ill they wind up finding she had pancreatic. I've been taking my Cavalier to RAU since June 2016 and have seen 3 different veterinarians. They have not agreed with each other in the diagnosis of the cause of his recurring ear infections, and suggested varying treatments, medications and diet changes. The staff at the Willow Grove office has been more helpful and the technicians more gentle and understanding than the staff in Jenkintown. My experience there was probably due to it being a Saturday morning and too busy for them to take care, although I had made the appointment 2 days prior. My dog is cooperative and good natured. They were rushed and abrupt and caused my dog unnecessary pain. I will probably not return to the Jenkintown office, although it is closer to my home.

Update to my last review: Lisa Mengucci · 3 seconds ago I will take my cats to no other animal hospital. The care my cat received here is hands above all others. I had to make the painful decision to say good-bye to my beloved cat today. Dr. Maryanne Miko Flasik and the vet assistant, whose name I did not get, made this unpleasant experience as pleasant as it could have been. They had me park around back and come into their "comfort room" for this process. It's a cozy, homey and quiet living room type room. They gave us the time to spend with Percy and explained what would occur. Both were so gentle and genuinely compassionate and caring. The last experience with euthanasia was not with them, but with another animal hospital. It wasn't so pleasant. I can't say enough about them. They truly do care. 12/17 I had taken my senior cat to Dr. Murphy at the Glenside location. The vet tech and Dr. Murphy showed genuine compassion and concern. Unlike Mt. Airy Animal Hospital in Mt. Airy where I had taken Percy and my other cats before. They have a sectioned off waiting are for people with felines and extended hours with online capability to request appointments and prescription refills. They are also a cat certified animal hospital! Most importantly, the care Percy received was top notch not to mention Dr. Murphy's follow-up. They are my new vet!

When my dog, Robb, ate a pound of raisins I called Rau and was told to bring him right in. (Hopefully you know that grapes, and hence raisins, are poisonous to dogs.) As soon as I told someone at the front desk I had arrived we were whisked back to a room. Within less than five minutes they had induced vomiting and a vet was discussing possible treatment after that. I was in no position to discuss costs before the emergency treatment but I was quite relieved to find they were reasonable, especially considering the emergency appointment. I felt confident taking him home knowing that if he appeared to show any signs of kidney problems that they were just a phone call away. Everyone at Rau is always friendly and this visit was no exception. He was given the new nickname, "Raisin Robb."

When my daughter was about 15 a bad kitty outside was taunting Mr. Kitty. I tried to grab my Golden Retriever Ben because he wanted to see why all the commotion. in the midst of this both Benny & I got bitten. I started to swell and was on my way to the ER & had to text my daughter to come home & call Rau to see if there was any 1st aid she could provide until I could get him there. The came and picked them both up they checked out Benny, gave him antibiotics and love and delivered them back home before I got home from the ER. Not only are they good at what they do, they're good people, too.

I've already submitted a review on Yelp, but wanted to add one here too to spread the word about how amazing Rau is! We just rescued our little pit girl on Valentines Day from Animal Control and she came to us with dry flaky skin. Last night it flared up pretty bad and Laurel was kind enough to squeeze us in with Dr. Willenkin for a late evening appointment. Sadly, a big emergency came through the door shortly before our scheduled visit and the staff called me right away to make me aware of the possible wait. It was very nice to be informed ahead of time and we certainly didn't mind hanging out in the waiting area having the girls spoil our Raven with lots of love and attention. Dr. Willenkin was very kind and thorough. She didn't push any unnecessary diagnostics and took a very mild and conservative approach to treating the symptoms first. We've seen several of the DVMs there and all of them have been nothing but amazing with our pets.

I recently switched from Chestnut HIll Cat Clinic to RAU because we moved closer to them and because we had met "Dr. Jane" when she was filling in for someone at Chestnut HIll. I also boarded a cat who was on heart medications with RAU for a couple of years. I appreciated being able to pick him up on Sunday when we returned from our travels. They put him in an ICU-like part of the clinic so he was monitored the entire weekend. We are experienced cat owners (we have our fifth, sixth, and seventh now) and would not consider taking the cats anywhere else. I find their prices to be in line with other clinics.

First of all, I'd like to start by saying that, like most of you, my pets are my family. I want the very best care possible for them in every way. I have been taking my animals to RAU for so long I honestly cannot remember how long it has been. I trust them 100% with my pets health. The vets, vet techs, receptionists are all SO polite, knowledgeable, and just simply amazing. My pets have seen many of the vets and they are ALL so wonderful when it comes to advice, treatment, prevention. RAU truly treats the pets as if they were their own. My cat Oreo lived a very long healthy happy life (21 years!) and was always taken to RAU. In his final days, they made sure to help me every step of the way to be sure I had support. Not only has RAU been amazing with my dog and cats, but the staff is very very good with small animals as well. My rabbit and rats have all been to RAU. Many vets claim to see "exotics" but are not truly prepared. RAU was fabulous and even went out of their way to contact exotic specialists for extra advice. The vets here TRULY care. They will give you honest, heartfelt advice and have taken SO much time over the years to answer each and every question I have. And I have a lot. RAU is THE BEST VET HOSPITAL in my opinion and I could write a novel about how much I love them. Highly highly recommended! I'd like to add, after reading a review that talks about their prices, that I personally do not think they are expensive. In fact, quite the opposite. I find their prices VERY VERY reasonable. Often I went in expecting a larger bill to be surprised by something much lower. There have also been many times when they are willing to waive a fee, or give out a discount for special circumstances. The last time I checked, you can even get 10% off dental care just by going to a very very informative seminar given by Vickie Byard who is an amazing and extremely intelligent expert on Dental Care for your pets. And last, they have NEVER once suggested a treatment or service if it was not needed. I know vets who will do anything to make a buck. Saturday, January 10th was one of the most difficult days of my life when I lost my beloved Scruffy after a nineteen-month battle to cancer. Dr. Kirchhoffer, tried to tell me that chemo wasn't a cure, but only a treatment. However, I didn't want to believe it. Instead, I clung to the hope that with the right medications, the right supplements and immunity boosters, specially prepared home-cooked food, spring bottled water and love—oh, so much love, I could cure her. God – as well as your staff --knows I tried. With that said however, you gave me an additional year and a half with Scruffy that I otherwise would not have had. “If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever!” My family and I are devastated as we continually wipe away tears and look for our ‘shadow’ which is now forever gone. The healing process will take a long time, but I confess, that it will never be complete. Saying goodbye to Scruffy was heartbreaking, but the compassion that you and your staff showed to us especially in the end and the realization that she has been in such good, caring, and professional hands during these past years is so comforting and is much appreciated by our family. Again, many thanks to your entire staff for the love and special care shown towards our Scruffy, for prolonging her time with us until no longer possible, and in the final chapter of her life, giving our furry child a peaceful and dignified end. My 13 month old Australian Shepherd sustained an injury which required sedated bandage changes. The doctors at Rau are amazing with her. She actually looks forward to seeing her doctor friends. Fortunately the wounds are healing very well with the help of laser therapy and Ruby no longer needs to be sedated for the bandage changes. She is almost fully healed.
