Dr. Cox is caring and knowledgeable, willing to take the time to explain any question you might have or any how-to's. All the Dr's and staff are great and very helpful! I drive from 132nd St in Omaha to Council Bluffs, so that must tell you something. Good Day

Reasonable rates, very knowledgeable, front staff very friendly and helpful. Does a beautiful meticulous crop on Doberman puppies. They were ready to go home in three hours yet when we got storm stayed they kept the puppies for us one night. Grateful for such great service.

Doc Jody is a super guy. Well everyone there is really caring and are always willing and ready to answer questions. Our baby girl had seizures and were unaware of what they were so we took her there when she was having one and I walked in the door told Tim what I had been explaining to them she was doing he went and got doc Jody and doc Jody came out seen her and picked her up and gave her shot and after about 10 minutes she was done and then they gave us some pills and appointment in 2 weeks. Our baby girl passed last Saturday and again doc Jody was there with us the whole way and very caring. Thank you doc Jody and thank you to everyone there at the office who have ever helped us and Elsie. We thank you all with all out hearts.

Only the best! I've been with them for over 30 yrs. I have NEVER had a bad experience. They are so compassionate with my pets, when I've had to let a pet cross the rainbow bridge, the staff cries with me. I won't get up Dr.Jody for anything. He has an amazing staff.Any is always so friendly & helpful. They all go out of their way to provide the best care, for my pets & me. I like going here for the simple fact I am able to bring my dog in get their vaccinations and go. I was there less than 5 minutes from start to finish. They also don't charge a crazy exam fee just for their shots. Two shots $47. Can't beat that.

We had brought our dog here, after taking her to several other vets who did not know how to help her or were charging us an insane amount of money. Unfortunately, she ended up going over the rainbow bridge. We were completely devastated. The staff and Dr Strohbehn were nothing short of amazing....and ridiculously tolerant of us during this difficult time. (trust me when I say my boyfriend is nothing short of a handful) They went up and beyond anything we could had expected and took amazing care of our girl. We will be forever grateful. There’s several vets out there, however this is probably one of the few that I believe truly are in it because they care, and not all about the money.

I used to be a bigger fan of this clinic. I had brought my Doberman here for an ear crop and regular care in the past. There was always a bit of a wait, but it was worth it for such specialized care. I recently got a new kitten. He needed routine booster shots, so I set an appointment for today at 11:15 am. I showed up and checked in early (a bit before 11:00). The waiting area was mobbed and people were brought back into the exam rooms with their animals on a seemingly random basis. Most of the clinic's help left at noon, without so much as acknowledging me in the waiting room. After waiting for about an hour and a half, I lost my patience and left. I also was more critical in my review immediately following - the experience was very frustrating. Dr. Strohbehn did seem concerned when I left and he even wrote a response to this review. I do appreciate it. You have always provided my pets with excellent care, but taking several extra hours out of the day when it's not planned can cause problems for people. If you worked on your front end organization, your clinic would be stellar. I edited this review on 18 Oct 2018.

I am very picky to who I take my furbabies to. I moved here over a year ago and couldn't find a clinic I felt I could trust. this clinic is affordable and friendly. good vibes from everyone in the clinic. amazing. i got estimates from 2 other vets in town for dental work on my dog Tyler and they wanted to charge me $800 to $1200. At the clinic I paid about $250 for his dental work and shots for my other puppy. Thank you so much for treating my puppies💙 i highly recommend!

We've been taking our furries there since I moved to the area and they've been a fixture in the community forever. Scheduling can sometime be kind of tight but you get their full attention when it's your turn. Jody was exceptionally compassionate when our ailing lab was going through his last days and really went above and beyond for us. I wouldn’t give it a full 5 stars because of how rude the person I called to make an appointment was towards me and I had an appointment at 1 and I didn’t get in until like 1:30 ish , I think they should be right on things because people have things to do. But I definitely recommend to anyone! Their service is great and once I got her in they confirmed a problem , and now we are getting the problem sorted out! Only took about a few minutes!

This is the only place I trust to care for my animals, I made the mistake of going to council bluffs vet and they misdiagnosed my dog and I paid a hefty price ( only because Strohbehn was closed) but it will always be the best for my pets (family) and this place gives the proper attention to your pet that they deserve when Sick or just doing a routine wellness check

I have been going here with my 5 boys (dogs) for 14.5 years. Dr. Jody is the BEST! He has taken care of all our dogs. The attention they give to our boys is just awesome. Unfortunately, we have had a bad 2017. We had to put two of our boys to sleep, both were Cocker Spaniels, Toby was 14 and Sammy was 11, he lost his battle with cancer. When we had to make those decisions Dr. Emily was so caring and sympathetic she really helped us get through the process of sending our boys to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I would strongly recommend Dr. Jody and Dr. Emily to anyone!

I have been going to Dr Shrohehn's since I was a small child for all our dogs. They treat our dogs like they are theirs. One visit stands out from all the others. At that time we had a bassett hound and he was pretty young. One evening my husband had given Bogart a bone from a seven bone roast to him but did not break the tip of the bone off and he didn't want to leave anything. The next day early afternoon I could tell he was having trouble having a BM and then he was crying out. I called the office and it was after hours and Jody answer ( it one of the twins that just graduated from Vet School) he had us bring him in right away. Well we lived in Omaha, NE and their Clinic was in Council Bluffs, IA. We had to leave him as they said he was probably going to have surgery. Coming over in the morning, I saw the father sitting in his office at his desk with Bogart on his lap feeding him Bogart a can of cat food which was soft chicken food. They didn't have to do surgery as the x-ray showed the bone was logged at the end of his bowels and he was afraid of passing it out. I was still in shock of seeing the father hand feeding him. He was going to have to see if he had to pass it on his own, but they did have to put him under light knock out shot and take it out. After that never had to see another vet except Strohbehn Vet Clinc. We still use them today, almost 60 years later.

My favorite small town vet! Each time I've stopped in during the past 5 years, they are extremely busy and do their best to answer everyone's questions and phone calls. I've always had returned calls when I leave a VM. They are one of the most affordable clinics in the area which keeps them crazy busy. My dogs scream with excitement when we enter the parking lot, they love Dr. Whitehouse and the clinic's long time Vet Tech, Deb. Tim is always running between rooms, answering calls and helping guests in the lobby whenever I'm waiting my turn. We give them 2 dew claws up! We highly recommend Dr. Whitehouse for your vetting needs! She is very kind and caring when it comes to animals and takes time with her clients no matter how big or small the issue/concern is with your fur babies.
