We’ve been at YH for many years, we take all of our animals here. My whole family does actually. We’ve never had a bad experience. The staff is amazing, the front desk ladies are so sweet and super helpful, you can tell they like being there. The techs are amazing, and our dogs love them all. The vets are all great also! We love Dr. Stock! He is always very thorough, and explains things well! You can tell everyone there loves what they do.

The staff at Yukon Hills is very personable and honest. They continually provide me with honest care and offer advice to save costs. I don’t ever feel like I’m being overcharged. This animal hospital was the only one I called that could see my sick kitty same day. The lady I talked to was very nice and helpful. Her name was Vanessa. Dr. Summer and her nurse Ranae were very friendly, comforting and reassuring. Cassie was so helpful when I called back for a concern. I will highly recommend this pet clinic. They were upfront on pricing as much as possible. Office was very clean as well.

The doctors are incredible. The reason for the 3 stars is although I believe the office staff are working hard it’s clear they need more training. Further, for some reason they can never pull up my account and the issue is still unresolved. My account has been having issues for a minimum of 2 months and that is being gracious. Editing to add more information. After leaving this review the hospital manager called and was extremely receptive to the feedback given, as well as, provided explanations that were helpful for me to understand their end of things. I will continue to provide feedback and am looking forward to continuing my relationship with Yukon Animal Hills Hospital.

To start our vet experience has been fantastic, we had our German Shepherd spayed there and everyone was great and everything went fine. However, we boarded our dog there and they charge extra for play time.... it's $12 for a 15 minute play session. We've boarded at plenty of other places and have never had to pay extra for play time. That is the most ridiculous thing to charge extra for and we will not be boarding here again.

Our Lab had to have emergency surgery and they were able to work him in and did an excellent job! Took amazing care of our dog, while providing updates throughout the process. If your animal needs any care I’d highly recommend the Vets at Yukon Hills!

Yukon Hills slogan is “Where Pets Are More Than Pets, They Are Family” and that is so true!! I switched from a vet that was only out for money and didn’t care about you or your pet. Yukon Hills is the exact opposite and they really show that they believe in their slogan! From my first phone call to mine and my puppies first visit, we were treated like family! They answered my “dumb” first dog mom questions like they were the most important questions they were answering that day. Every pet I saw in Yukon Hills on the day of my appointment looked so happy! I cannot say enough good things about Yukon Hills! I’ve even gotten my mom to make this her vet. If you’re thinking about switching vets, and looking for a sign, consider this your sign! You won’t be disappointed! **edited to add, I had to my puppy to Yukon Hills cause she was sick, and they were so good to her, with her, and again with me! They even called me the next day to check on her!! Every time I have to take my puppy here, I always leave happy!

Get you checked in and 5 minutes later move you to the room. They take about 15 minutes to view my dogs and gather the test specimens. The shots were given and I was in my car taking the dogs home within 35 minutes from appointment time. The staff is polite, good with the dogs, and quick to answer any concerns.

After my dog’s dental procedure, he had 2 bloody fingerprints on his head when they brought him out. The vet tech was having a bad day and was rather short with me, or maybe she’s just rude all the time?? And no one called later to check in to see how my dog was doing. I was very disappointed. I’ve been going to Yukon Hills for many years and things are changing. Not sure I’ll go back.

TLDR: I was very satisfied with the care and attention that my pet and I received during her emergency visit; and although the staff was proactive (and successful) in working with my budget and identifying potential discounts, some services were much, much more expensive than my regular vet while others were roughly the same. I came in for an emergency on Saturday morning; this is not my usual vet. I told them that my pet was struggling to breathe and the front desk employee immediately asked to take my pet to the back to get her helped. She checked me in afterwards. I appreciated the urgency. Caring staff; they were understanding and empathetic to all of my concerns, including cost; they made every effort to fulfill my requests. When an employee didn't have an answer for me, they were solid and said they would get me an answer (and they did). They were very busy that morning, so I won't pretend that I didn't have waiting periods before getting answers and updates, but it was not unreasonable for an emergency/regular vet clinic on the weekend. X-rays were the same price as my regular vet. Private cremation was upwards of $400 for a small cat; my regular vet was $130 for a medium sized dog. Partial profile on a cat at my regular vet was $70, but blood work here was $700 for a "quality of life" blood work assessment of a 17 year old cat. I told the vet I was upset that I had to put a price on my pet's life, but the vet was very compassionate and helped me work through the issue personally. The employees are actively on the lookout for cost-reducing situations, and I benefitted from a military discount, a discount because there was a specific issue with the records my vet sent, and I was able to use care credit easily (without knowing my account number), all due to the employees having my back. Using care credit with the six month no interest option was so much better than using my 18% credit card. I was in the clinic from about 9am - 1pm (ish) for my emergency. The chairs were not uncomfortable (the last hour might have been a little uncomfortable). They have bottled water and coffee (maybe snacks too, I didn't look that hard). I requested fur clippings. My regular vet offers that, but here either they don't offer it explicitly or I was just ahead of them before they could offer it, but I am glad I asked. They were very generous with the clippings they gave me.

As always, the care was excellent. Took my schnauzer in for GI upset. During course of exam Dr Kerse discovered an undiagnosed heart problem and we are able to treat early. Very thankful for attentive vet! From the reception staff to vets there is not a better place to take your furry family members. Have been taking our various dogs there for 40 years and wouldn’t begin to think of going anywhere else

I had taken by dog to 2 other vets before this one. They were quick to say he had arthritis without any other tests. We came here yesterday, xray and gave us the diagnosis of Cancer. It was a sad day, but now we know. They told us how to keep him comfortable and let them know if we need anything. They were very kind and understanding.

Truly such a great establishment. Techs and doctors are genuinely compassionate. Not only with the animals but with the owners as well. The only issue I have run into is ill-mannered interactions I have encountered with the main receptionist Vanessa. I am not usually one to write negative reviews. I am visiting my daughter in Mustang. We are from Connecticut. My Service dog has a shoulder condition called OCD Osteochondrosis. He had a severe flare up while here. They were able to get him in with in an hour of the initial contact. And had him x-rayed and prescribe gabapentin and a referral to a surgeon at Scissortail Animal Specialties. Kane will be under the knife on Jan 31 to hopefully corect his condition. He has pulled me through some rough times. My turn to care for him. I will be his Service Human. Thanks Dr Gee!

I called exactly when they opened for a VERY urgent situation. They got us in within an hour despite the fact that my dog had never been seen there before. Everyone was so nice and very patient. They took great care of my dog and came up with a good care plan that I really liked. They were very cost aware and had recommendations on what things could wait versus what things were more important. 10/10 would recommend.

Yukon Hills is always so good about getting our animals in if urgent or even for checkups. This last time we went in our 15yr old dog was stumbling and walking backwards, acting super strange. We instantly though it was some sort of brain issue. The vet took her time and thoroughly check him over. They didn't do a bunch of unnecessary tests. She then decided to check his neck. Sure enough he wouldn't bend it one way and she realized he most likely pinched a nerve in his neck and got him on meds. Literally within 2 days he is acting like himself again! We are so relieved and happy. Plus glad we didn't have to pay for a lot of tests that weren't necessary. We love Yukon Hills. We've always had a good experience with cats and dogs!

Our first time at Yukon Hills we were so pleased with the front desk staff, vet, and vet assistant. We recently changed vets because our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy. Our dog loved the vet and was happy to see her and take treats from her. The vet took the time to research medication combinations and the right dosages for our pup. The vet even called with options for our dog that we had discussed during our visit. We couldn’t be happy with the switch to Yukon Hills Vet.

This place is very spacious and the lady I talked to on the phone the day I booked my appointment was so nice and informative. However, my appointment was very different, I am sorry to say. The appointment started 20 min late but they apologized. I think I got them on an off day. The tech and vet were nice but you pay a lot and I just felt our appointment could have gone better. I would come with a list of questions which as a first time pet owner, I didn’t know even know what to ask. I felt they could have gone over each of the vaccinations with me and what are symptoms look out for, tips on separation anxiety. Something that I can take back and use I guess. Like I said they are all nice and I really think I caught them on an off day. I just don’t have the funds to try for this type of an appointment again and give them another chance for what we got.

This was our 1st time and I can’t say enough about how wonderful everyone was. From the front office, to the vet tech, to the veterinarian, to the check out lady. Everyone was so kind and very gentle with my dog. Diagnosed him within 15 minutes of having a tumor, and scheduled us 2 days later to get it removed. I’m sure the surgery will go just as smooth as the 1st appointment. Highly recommend this place!

We have been going to Dr. Posey for DECADES. They have grown a lot over the years, having many great vets now including Dr. Posey's own son Dr. Joshua Posey! The techs and front office staff are also very caring and compassionate animal lovers. And the senior Dr. Posey, about 20 years or so ago, actually came outside and changed a flat tire on my mom's truck out in his parking lot!! How many doctors will do THAT for you??? The vet and vet tech were fine it was the staff at checkout. I called back today to setup the appointment for his teeth cleaning and addressed the issues with one of ladies that's been there as long as I been going. Very friendly and welcoming. My dogs haven’t been to the vet in awhile and the staff did a great job at doing a wellness check on both my fur babies to make sure they were healthy. Also have recommendations on what vaccines we should give my 13 year old boy as some vaccines were not necessary at that age. I didn’t feel like they were trying to just make money off us and really cared about my pets. They even called and said that they accidentally overcharged us and promptly refunded the extra. Very pleased with our experience and would recommend for sure!

You guys have gone above and beyond for our family and little ones. We moved here this winter. My Mom had an emergency with her cat in February you were there with compassion and took the time to make sure she understood everything. **EDITED** Recently my 6 month old puppy had a recent situation of the runs. While I was doing all that I knew and could at home, it just seemed it was not getting better. I called the office, explained the situation and they were able to see my puppy just an hour later to help get her fixed up. She is feeling much better and getting back to her crazy puppy ways quite fast. The girls that helped love my puppy just as she was one of their own. I have had a wonderful experience every time I've been there and won't even consider going anywhere else! I have had many animals and have had to have many vet visits. Not one clinic I have gone to gives me the feeling of not just an animal. My fur baby was treated as if she was one of the staffs fur babies. Very warming, welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. They also give estimates ahead of time, are thorough and understanding as well. No extra trips needed, all tests are done there and then, very quickly, and all prescriptions given! During COVID crisis, we trusted them with ours while waiting in the car and that is saying a lot. We could tell by their behavior that they were perfectly taken care. If you are entrusting your loved ones with them, you can feel safe and assured they are treating them as you would yourself. They all have my confidence and eternal gratitude. Every visit they impart great insight and provide you with the knowledge you need to keep your fur baby safe and healthy. My first experience here with my border collie, Hollypeno. From my first phone call to schedule, until the time I paid and left was a great experience. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and treated my "scared of everything" dog as if she was their own. It was really clean. There was no "vet smell." Love this group!! Docs and staff are awesome. We moved here a little over a year ago from Alabama and didn't know where to start or what to expect. They care for your babies like their own. I know some people complain that they may be a little higher on prices but they are about average from my comparison. We have had a couple of incidents with our girls and I've either emailed or left a voice mail after hours and had a phone call, text or email response the next day, usually morning with suggestions from Doc or a work-in appointment for that day! I can't ask for any better service than that! Also, they are upfront with you about options and the costs so you can make informed decisions. They will help you pick and choose what needs to be done and what can wait. We have been very happy and our girls love them too!!

I found Yukon Hills Veterinary Hospital to be professional and personal. Everyone was very nice and they took the time to answer all of my questions. I appreciated the cleanliness and the large sitting area in the front reception area, so everyone could spread out. I only gave a 4 because I was put on hold a very long time, eventually hung up and called again and the person on the phone very quickly said please hold and I was on hold a very long time again.

We had brought several of our animals here at this point, and I will say the front desk and vet techs were very accommodating and courteous. The first animal we brought in was treated and is doing better, but unfortunately the second animal we brought wasn't doing so hot after seeing one of the veterinarians. I don't recall the first vet we saw but because that animal is doing fine now I don't have much issue. It's the second animal that saw a separate vet who ultimately lead us to seek a second opinion elsewhere. I believe good work is done here, but I can't give it a full five stars based on my experience.

The absolute best place to take your beloved pets!! I have a special needs dog who is deaf and has several health issues. They have gone above and beyond for everything we have ever needed, and then some. They are more than just professionals in the veterinary field, they truly care about both you and your pets. I have used several other animal hospitals throughout the years and none of them have come close to the level of care and personal treatment I’ve found here. Every staff member, from receptionist to the vets, offer the same level of care and respect for both their customer and their pets. Plus, they are more than fair and reasonable on all rates. In many cases, they are cheaper than other animal hospitals while also being a level above the rest in regards to care. If you want a place who cares about your babies as much as you, then Yukon Hills Animal Hospital is THE place.

This was a positive experience as well. Someone called a few days later to check on her and I had a few questions. I’m from out of state and temporary staying in OK. I brought my dog with just because I simply didn’t want to be away from him for so long. He ended up getting into some garbage and getting into some very serious trouble which resulted in emergent care. I called on a Friday and without hesitation of him being a new patient and not knowing his chart he was accepted without any hesitation. Kai was taken care of immediately and did need emergency surgery and I was updated the entire step of the way. As this was not in the plans for my poor boy’s time in Oklahoma I am forever grateful Yukon hills took us in! Kai’s doctor was absolutely wonderful!! I had to take my sweet boy in for his pheno levels because he takes phenobarbital for seizures. I love this vet, but I gave it a four star today becaUse they were really busy and it didn’t seem like they were as personable as they usually are. The vet tech was very sweet but she kept having to relay messages and questions to the doctor the whole time. We never saw the doctor. She didn’t examine my dog or didn’t come in to answer our questions. It felt like they were trying to get people and their dogs in and out of their as fast as they could. I was a little disappointed with todays visit.

Our 12 year old Lab had terrible hip dysplasia that eventually made it where it was almost impossible for him to get up. At the same time, our 15 year old Rat Terrier was blind, deaf, and started having coordination issues that had her walking into walls and jumping out of our arms unexpectedly. We had to make the difficult decision to end their suffering. We were leaving in a week with 24 hours in the car, and we knew we couldn't put them through that long drive, especially since my lab could barely get in the car even with a ramp. Our vet at the time had said when we decided that they could squeeze us in that week. When we discussed it and made the decision the following day, they said they couldn't get us in. Yukon Hills squeezed us in. I'll never forget how comforting and compassionate the entire staff was during one of the worst moments of our lives. Right then, we decided to move all of our dogs over to them. We recently got a new puppy, and right before her 3rd parvo vaccine, we had to take our daughter to college. I couldn't kennel her, so we brought her with us, carried her everywhere, and tried to be careful. Unfortunately, she tested positive for Parvo when we returned home. Yukon Hills has taken the best care of my baby, and I'm so thankul. They saved her. Thank you Yukon Hills for always being reliable, dependable, and for loving our babies like your own.

I took my cat here to get a health check and to get his shots up to date. While he was scared, the staff made sure to calm him down with pets and soothing words while he was in the room. After a few days, my cat was still lethargic and sore from the shot (which is very rare!) Dr. Posey was able to see him the same day, prescribed pain medicine and gave him another shot to relieve his pain free of charge. My cat is now his usual self, and I am happy that Yukon Hills was able to correct the situation!

I had my cat declawed there, everyone was very nice and very upfront about all of the costs and both of the procedures they provide. Everyone remembered my cats name even a week later after I called! Everyone from the time you are greeted at the front desk and through the exam/checkup with the Vet is wonderful. Wow. Yukon Hills Animal hospital is awesome. My husband and I were staying in Yukon on our way to California when our dog Lacey got sick. I called at 7:30 am and was given a 8:10 am appointment. Everyone was beyond wonderful and caring. Lacey saw Dr Abby Werner. Dr. Werner was so kind and knowledgeable. She totally diagnosed Laceys problem, and gave her the right medicine. We stayed in Yukon an extra day and Lacey saw Dr. Werner the next morning before we continued on our trip. Lacey is doing great and we are forever grateful for the care Lacey received at Yukon Hills animal hospital. Prices were very fair.

Just a week after being in my new home, my little fur baby hurt her leg. Yukon Hills Vet got her in within an hour. They were very kind and understanding and listened to me. Although the diagnosis wasn't what I hoped for, they took very good care of her. She will require surgery and I fill comfortable knowing they will take good care of her. Vanessa was a tremendous help when I had to have my beloved Boxer put down this January. As a former Vet-Tech, no amount of Euths prepare you for your own. Still, she helped me hold it together throughout the sudden process. Having said that, I picked up my Staffy today after boarding for the weekend and everything was great again! However, what I can’t get over is the cost for a bath. Yes, he’s a larger dog. I bathe him with no issues; he’ll even jump in the taller tubs if your tell him to, but $44 for a bath is outrageous. I’ve bathed horses for less than that. He better have received a deep-tissue massage and therapeutic facial for that price! I’m not sure if my husband asked about the cost when he made the request for a bath, because if he did I’m sure he would’ve said “hell no, thanks anyways”. I’d hate to switch to a different Animal Hospital because I appreciate the care they provide, but unless a dog has to be sedated there is no reason for a bath to cost that damn much. I was literally speechless during checkout. I’ll just sacrifice having a smelly car next time.

I have only had one bad experience here and it was corrected by the other vets. Even with the one bad experience I still give Yukon Hills 5 stars. Every time my furry ones go in they are always treated with respected and with kind hands. I am very impressed with Dr. Posey and his son. I always request to have my animals see by either of them. I have never had my dog happy to go to the vets before. My big lab also goes in 1 to 2 times a month for laser treatment for his chronic ear infections. They were the first vets to not blame me for his problems and found the reasoning for his ear infections. The grooming staff is also extremely well with both my dogs.

I have taken 3 cats to this Animal Hospital over the course of 8 years. Before I report on the negative I'd like to give my gratitude to the following staff who were always nice, and very helpful. Dr. Andrea Blackmore (no longer there). Dr. Tori Smith, Chelsea, Allison, and Vanessa. My usual tech was Chelsea who administered Sub-Q's to my cat who was in renal failure was always so kind, friendly, and gentle with my cat who was 18. Dr. Tori Smith was excellent to work with, and showed that she cared for my pet. Unfortunately, I have to mention the negative. Consistently most staff would call my cat a He even though charts were listed as a spade female. I know the name of my cat would throw people off, but the sex of my cat was on the chart. There was one particular day I received terrible service. Dr. Tori Smith ran labs on my cat, and gave her antibiotics for possible onset of Pancreatitis. She told me to come back in two weeks for a recheck, and do an I-stat. I followed her orders, but the day I came back in she was not on shift. They ran an I-Stat, and Tracy brought my cat to me. I was surprised I got my cat back so quickly. I said has she had her fluids? She said I didn't see that on the chart. I had been coming in every few weeks for Sub-Q for over 3 years I always scheduled at the previous appointment. She took my cat again, and a few minutes later said my cat was being difficult, and could not administer fluids. There had been an alert on the chart to allow me to assist if required as my cat really didn't like being alone with strangers. She was much calmer when I was present. When I asked about the Pancreatitis I was told I-stat wouldn't detect that, and that i would need to do a complete blood panel on her. It was also explained that nothing was documented on the chart when I saw Dr. Tori Smith which I later found out from Dr. Smith instructions were on the chart they were just missed by the staff. So now there were two lab costs involved so I asked to speak to the vet about this. Unfortunately I dealt with Dr. James Posey who was incredibly rude, and hateful to me. I was trying to figure out where so many things went wrong on this particular visit. The costs of dealing with a cat in kidney failure had been mounting for some time. I explained to him all that went wrong this day, and he made me feel horrible for it. I asked him if he could meet me halfway with the blood work since one test was done in error. A comprehensive blood test was not necessary as I had that ordered 2 weeks before. I was told by Dr. Tori Smith to just do I-stat on this visit to re-check her values. Dr. James Posey was furious with me, and had this blank wild stare, and just said your cat is getting worse. I have staff to pay, labs to pay, I should just give you $50, and send you down the road. He was throwing a fit about the animal hospitals error. He had no accountability, and he proved that money is his ultimate focus. He was so hateful, and upset me terribly. I had recently found out my Cat was in End Stage Renal Failure, and how he handled things was atrocious! My plan was to stay with this animal hospital long enough to treat my Cat until I was no longer able to, and because she was established there. I had to let her go 3 weeks later. As much as I liked the people that I mentioned. I will not bring another pet to this facility because of how Dr. James Posey the owner handles his customers. I don't need a response Dr. Posey, as there is no value in it. I just hope in the future that you learn some people skills, professionalism, and most of all compassion. I hope no one else has to be treated the way that I was.

I had used this vet before to have few animals fixed, and when someone dropped off a stray at our place decided to try them again to have her fixed. The staff was good with her... she is recovering very well.. BUT.. we had no idea how old she was..and they were suppose to do an exam along with the almost 400.00 worth of other things such as shots and tests.. they wrote on her rabies vaccine that she was 6 days old?? The vet didnt know which dog they were making out the paper for? She clearly is not. They marked her sex as S?? I told them that we suspected she was pregnant. Noone mentioned it at all when we picked her up, And when I asked questions they seemed clueless. I never spoke to a vet. Not 1 time.. only the girls at the desk. I asked if there were any complications should I call.you.. I was told to call and emergency vet and given the name.. Again, the dog is doing well that is the ONLY reason for the 3 stars.. other than that.. I do not recommend this place.
