No complaints, I brought my adopted pet in, thinking I had an appt BUT I had the appt at the other Veterinary Hospital on the same street. 🤦🏾‍♀️ However, THIS was the Veterinary Hospital I intended to come to because I adopted my pet from Midwest City Animal Shelter Center and they partner with this Veterinary Hospital and they have my pets info. Well given that it was my error, they were still kind enough to take my pet in this morning to look him over. I dropped him off and within 2hrs, I received a call from the Veterinarian explaining my pets condition and medication he prescribed him. Needless to say, thank you for your kindness and nice service.

Dr. Troy is thorough, gentle with the pets, and above all, extremely kind. His staff are equally kind and welcoming. Compared to the astronomical prices some OKC vets charge ($900+ for a cat x-ray), this vet's prices are very reasonable and the customer service is top-notch. If you want to be treated like family, bring your pets here.

Midwest Vets neutered my Dad's cat Cesar. Dad was ridiculously worried and if Cesar meowed wrong for the next week I or my brother were calling at Dad's insistence. Everyone was extremely patient, and not only understood Dad's worry but our impatience and embarrassment at bugging them over what was likely completely normal physical and psychological behavior. The staff exhibits not only care for their patients, but for their patients "pets". Much appreciated!

We have been w MWV for 5+ years now. We have a greyhound and they need some specialized care regarding anesthesia etc due to their metabolism. Also, our hound is allergic to EVERYTHING and we were struggling to find food for him. We had an allergy test done and now have a full profile of what he is allergic to. Recently, Dr Thomas found cancer in his rear leg and this was amputated. Dr Thomas and Dr Troy were so kind and the staff gave our hound so much love ❤️ it made the experience less stressful. We take all our pups for nail trims and the staff is great.

My family and I rescued a puppy and a kitten.As soon as possible, we scheduled an appointment with the vet. Dr.Troy and his tech ensured the babies were comfortable with them and genuinely seemed to care for them. Lots of knowledge and information was shared. I had to put my sweet 17 y/o Bella to sleep recently. Dr. Troy Acree is the absolute best. He gave me all my options and even told me what he would do and has had to do with his own fur babies. After we decided he brought Bella a big bowl of chocolate ice cream for her to enjoy if she was able to that is. Then he came and put her to sleep so gently and humanely. We love this Vet because he cares so much for his patients and their parents/owners. I have seen many of the Vets there and highly recommend them all. We just have a special place in our heart for Dr. Troy.

This place is wonderful I have used this for my babies for 28 years and Dr. Thomas has been my husband veterinarian for 50 years would trust no one else.. Update from 2 years ago. We have lost both of our little Roxie and Dash to time and an emergency that was unpreventable. Never has i have been shown for respect and grace than with the Dr, The Girls in the front, and every worker in the back that takes care of our kids. It makes you proud to know you have THE BEST EVER!!!!!

I have a 4 year old GSD. I originally got her in Savannah, GA before we moved to Oklahoma. The allergens in the Oklahoma air were not very kind to my dog over the past three years. I had tried many medications on her while visiting another clinic in the area but to no avail. Finally, I decided to try a different clinic and I am so glad that I did. We set up an appointment to see Dr. Coffey and the staff was very friendly and easy going. He was very informative and broke everything down in a simple easy to understand way without being condescending like other vets/doctors I have seen. He truly shows his compassion through how he treats you and your fur baby. I highly recommend trying Dr. Coffey if you are looking for a new vet.

Second time visiting this clinic with our two puppies. 1st time was with strict covid restrictions but this time we were able to go in the back with our puppies. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back. The lady who assisted the doctor was very nice and the doctor was awesome. After 5+ yrs using Midwest Vet for my senior yorkie mix, today was his last visit before crossing over. I just wanted to especially thank Dr. Acree and the staff for always taking such good care of little Biscuit and helping us extend his life as long as ethically possible. I called on a Friday morning and took my almost 14 year old yorkie poo, Bella, in the next morning because she was losing weight and was extremely lethargic. Dr. Troy diagnosed her with congestive heart failure and high calcium levels, indicating Lymphoma, and prescribed a heart medication. Exactly one week later she is eating well, running around and being her usual feisty self! In addition, when I was unable to access Bella's records thru the client portal, Megan assisted me by sending them via my personal email. I was very satisfied with all aspects of my experience with Midwest Veterinary Hospital.

I've been bringing my oldest dog here for almost 10 years and Dr. Thomas, Dr. Stan and Dr. Troy have been wonderful the entire time. They are patient and never rude, they always have time to answer questions and are eager to follow up on the well being of their patients. Dr Troy is the absolute best! Ever hear of a dog being happy to go inside at the vet? Sure they like the ride but when it's time to go in mine used to hate it, they love going to see him. This is by far the BEST veterinarian I have ever had. I'm new in town and had a pet emergency. I chose this veterinarian because it had good reviews for both care and price. I was not disappointed. I've never seen a more thorough physical exam, and the doctor was very helpful another choosing only the tests he needed to diagnose my dog's problem. He was able to prioritize tests and treatments so that costs were controlled. The positive reviews don't tell just how great this pet hospital is. It's staffed M-S and has an on-call doctor when it's closed. The front office staff is friendly, kind, and efficient. The doctor himself called the day following treatment to check on my dog. I highly recommend this business.

Dr. Troy is awesome; he explains things in a way I understand and answers all my questions. BTW, I live in OKC and it's worth the drive for the care and attention received. We have been clients of Dr Anthony Thomas at this clinic for over 4 years. We could not have had a better experience. Dr Thomas is a fantastic veterinarian as well as an incredible person. On the few occasions we've seen a different veterinarian at the clinic because Dr Thomas was unavailable, we've always found them to be very knowledgeable, personable and caring of our two dogs. The reception staff is hard working (and worked hard given the number of loyal clients who obviously share our assessment--phone always ringing) yet able to maintain a friendly and helpful attitude. The recent critiques alleging otherwise are so outside the bounds of our experience, we can't believe that there isn't more to the story than is being told in the review! If you care about your pets and want the best for them, these are the folks you need to see!

I’ve taken several of my fur babies here and always received great service. Recently they had my dog, Barkley, for an extended period of time due to him being ill. He was so sick that I was worried he wouldn’t be coming home. Dr Akery was WONDERFUL and all of the staff were kind and patient with me as I worried about my little man. They communicate, they work quickly. My cousin and I found a stray cat that had gotten its back leg stuck in a gopher trap. We were worried that the leg would have to go. After two rounds of oral antibiotics, some topical antibiotics, and a very fairly priced surgery, our new little guy is right as rain!

My dog was attacked by a another dog well after normal office hours. I called a number of clinics, no one answered. This vet called me back (even though I didn't think I left a message), met me at the hospital (along with staff!!), and cared for my pup. He could have ignored my call completely or charged an outrageous amount but he didn't. I am truly grateful and won't go anywhere else.

Im new to the area and my cat started breathing weird early this morning and I was so concerned. I called them when they opened and they were able to get me in same day, which is typically unheard of on a Saturday, especially with COVID protocols. Everyone I spoke to was so kind and knowledgeable. And I just am so thankful. Thankfully my cat was just being over dramatic but I’m glad everything is ok! I would highly recommend this Vet to everyone! They saved the life of my 3lb chihuahua who had Parvo. No one else would even look at her for less than $1000. That was almost double total cost with 3 nights hospital stay. This week they helped my moms 14 yr old Yorkie recover from a severe kidney infection. The drive from moore to mwc is worth it! The people here are awesome. Dr Troy is The Best!

Wonderful people. Our family had an emergency situation that required the surgeon to be available if neccessary. He met us at the clinic at 8 am on his day off!!! I've went there for years and always liked the vets in this office. They are fair and compassionate. The ones I've seen realize we live with and know our dogs well so they take everything we say into consideration. The problems I have always had were with the paperwork. Many times over the years one thing or another has gotten messed up. Definitely check your paperwork info before leaving. I've been over charged, double charged, had wrong dates listed, and so on.

My other clinic I was taking my dog to .. did not explain anything to me and gave a estimate double what midwest gave me to have stones removed. They were polite and honest and did a great job with my dog ..even though they are across town it is worth the trip .I will keep coming back to them.

On our first visit to MVH, I brought our cat in (by appointment) to have her spayed. Very clean environment, professional, courteous staff and short wait time. The doctors are very gentle and caring, and will gladly answer any questions you have concerning your pet's care. The second visit was an emergency. She had been injured in a fight. We received immediate care, and again the wait time was very short even having come in without an appointment. We've seen three different doctors: the older gentleman someone else referenced in their review (I'm sorry, I don't remember his name), the doctor that took out her stitches after the surgery, and Dr. Lang who treated her fight injuries. They are all very knowledgeable and very pleasant. The staff knows our cat by name, and I'll be bringing her here to board when we're out of town since we're family now, LOL. Great place, reasonably priced, friendly people. We'll always come here.

We met Dr. Troy about five years ago when our 5 year old Maltese almost died from an immune disorder. He saved him for us and we were grateful for the care. We just lost him yesterday to the same disease because his little 10 year old body just couldn't get him through it this time. Dr. Troy did everything in his power to try and save Sprite for us. We had to make the decision to let him go yesterday. You won't find a better vet or better and more caring person than Dr. Troy. His clinic is always busy but that's because of the care you and your pet receive from his clinic. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

We have been seeing Dr. Stan Acres and Dr. Troy for over a year now and I can honestly say that they are the best veterinarians we have ever had! Dr. Stan treated one of our dogs for free when he found out we did not have any money and that she was just dumped off right after a tornado and Dr. Troy is going out of his way above and beyond to care for my daughter's turtle who contracted a bacterial infection from a turtle we purchased at pet smart. I will not take my animals anywhere else! The staff is always so good to us from the moment we walk in the door until we leave. Our pets are treated like babies there. Couldn't ask for a more caring or personal staff.

Wonderful staff, wonderful doctors. I switched to MVH after a bad experience elsewhere. I was relieved to see such kind and caring people with so much knowledge!!! I have seen more than one of their veterinarians and haven't met one yet that I didn't like. I'm baffled by some of the negative comments here because that is not my experience at all and I have quite a hard time believing them. Basic rule: respect. Be respectful (don't act entitled, remember there are other patients besides just you and your furbaby and these women are doing all they can to help each person to the best of their ability!!!) and respect will be given in return. Works in all walks of life, actually. :) Only problem I have every had is wait time. A few times I have shown up for an appointment and had to wait over 15 minutes just to be called back. They may have had emergancy patients or fallen behind because of the EXCELLENT care the veterinarians give. They want to make certain you understand and answer every question. This is a wonderful clinic and I would never take my furbabies anywhere else!

The staff and vets here are the best. I generally go to PetVet, but for hospital and xray needs, this place is wonderful. I love Dr. A. He won't charge you if he decides nothing needs to be done. They charge a VERY reasonable fee and take excellent care of my dogs. The techs and front office staff are superb! Great attitudes, at times when people are dropping in without an apt it can slow things down, but they handle it in stride. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for about 4 1/2 years. Dr. Thomas is the most amazing doctor! Dont let his older age full you! we have a Chihuahua and he is always so kind and gentle with her and always knows what it is that is wrong with her. anytime we are there for a sickness, she gets a steroid and antibiotic shot to help her get better faster. She has stayed here many times while we are out of town and she gets top notch care, get gets her nails groomed and baths while we are gone. I also have a boxer whom Dr Thomas has helped out very much. he had a EXTREMELY bad sinus infection and Doc Thomas looked him all over did blood tests started him on antibiotics, and a steroid and antibiotic shot, i had to take him back later that day under emergency hours because his breathing had gotten worse, but Dr. Troy was amazing and gave him some more steroid shot and antibiotics to take home with us. Most of the time they are running late, but to me good care is worth the wait. The front gets really busy and can be confusing sometimes, but i also work in health care and understand 100%!!! Best Vets ever, all have been there for many years and i trust them 100%!

Just got home from our 40 mile round trip to take our little Sophie in for what we thought was a torn ACL as our other Bichon had a similar leg carry. Dr Troy who we’ve watched join the staff after becoming a Vet as we soon will be starting our 32 year with MWCVC them. On occasion I forget the Doctor part and just call them Troy and Tony. Dr Stan is one of the finest surgeons around. He made an ACL out of some material on muscle to put our Harry’s leg back together. I’ve seen some jabs at the staff. I do admit they change from time to time. As many times we’ve been there over the years, consider the job. Most animals brought in are hurt or sick. Most are the BFF’s of the people bringing them in. I’ve been there when there was no room, there was a line of people checking out and all phone lines were on hold. Most are young and had no idea the stress trying to deal with all that goes on. Peggy has been there for sometime, a number of years. Get to know your office folks so you can call them by name. Work with them for the best time to get your baby in to see one of the “Animal Whisperers” that can tell in some cases just by feel, what’s wrong as with us this morning. My dog breeds have knee cap issues. After a quick consultation, keep her from chasing the squirrels for a few days, he thinks with rest, she’ll be fine. Those who have said unkind things, think a bit, they will check out your lizard to your not so nice poodle that wants to eat their face. The staff on occasions I’ve personally seen, handle a no place to sit, to people 4-5 deep waiting to pay. I have 2 Clinics within minutes but I drive from near Yukon because I trust no one else with my 2 best friends. Just thinking about the two young ladies there this morning, both barely 20, Peggy is a God send. Sorry for the long piece but the unkind words from some, made me think, how tough every job inside that building is. Humans can tell you where it hurts, these folks have to know and the staff has to decipher what the Docs are saying. Best animal care around!

We had the horrible experience of having to say good bye to our dog. Our regular vet couldn't see him and we were luckily able to get an appointment here. Everyone was so kind and the vet (I was upset and honestly never got his name) was so compassionate. He gave us the options and then discussed with us the risks and benefits. In the end the best choice was saying goodbye. He gave our boy ice cream and explained the process. This was a horrible day and a horrible choice and the empathy and kindness of the staff made it easier. Thank you for being there for us and our pup and thank you for your compassion.
