Our family lives in Destrehan and we have four dogs. The Staff at Destrehan Animal Hospital has provided our pets with excellent care. What I love about this animal hospital is they take the time to evaluate our pets and they listen to and address our concerns. Our pets have complex issues , and I feel confident that our pets are treated with professional and compassionate care. The vet techs and ancillary staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Moreau, Dr Gina , Dr Bourgeois and Dr. Carter are the best veterinarians.

I love Destrehan Animal Hospital. They have amazing vets and the staff is great. Dr Jack saved my dogs life by making a hard diagnosis for Addison Disease. I would recommend them to everyone. Also, Dr Gina takes the best care of Toby each time we go.

I've brought my pets to Destrehan Animal Hospital since 1988. The first visit was because they're conveniently located near home, but I've continued because Dr. Jack and his staff are knowledgeable and treat my dogs like their own. My dogs have no fear or apprehension and neither do I.

Destrehan Animal Hospital is the best. We have taken Dolly there since she was a puppy. That is almost 12 years. The staff is always friendly and even recognizes Dolly when we walk through the door. We wouldn’t trust her care with anyone else.

We have been using Destrehan Animal Hospital since it first opened by Dr Jack. This year I was shocked when I was informed my charge was $160 for annual Vacs and Exam. Last year it was $120. That is a 33% increase over last year. I understand things have gone up but 33% is outrages. Leads me to think it is due to the knew ownership. May consider other options next year. I accidentally made our appointment for Monday instead of Saturday. I went in on Saturday and found that we weren’t on the schedule. However, it was just fine. They told me that they could fit us in anyway. Also I had been taking Jingle to another vet for 11 years and never actually met the doctor. I loved the doctor that she saw! She was so nice and informative. She took her time and made me feel at ease about Jingle’s health.

I know I did when I changed our Vet (Dr. Thiac Laplace, retired and I didnt like the interactions with the new ones an my children) I was panicked, I don't Trust ppl, actions don't line up wit der word. Thank God my neighbors baby dr. was here, still anxious it didnt take a minute watchin n listening my body n mind jus surprise me, didn't even know it had happened until dey called my babies name, when I got up I was so relaxed, I knew I had jus found our new Doctor's

My mother recently passed away and I was left with 3 little dogs. Well one of my little buddies injured his self. I waited 3 days to see if he would get better. He did not. So I brought him to destrehan animal clinic. I was nervous about going in, not only worried about Dexter but also the cost. After talking with my sister about other local animal clinics and how much they cost I was prepared for the worst. The staff was amazingly friendly and come to find out very affordable. Not fond of this clinic at all and it started from just meeting the attitudes of the emolyees upon my arrival. Never met the Dr so I really can't contribute on him. I saw a ton of young inexperienced vet tech wannabes and vetranarian wannabes. Your appearance is one thing but your attitude and demeanor are another.

Make an appointment. Even though you're the first one there, as soon as they open, on a Saturday, just for a couple of things, make an appt. Easy in and out. About the same as internet pricing. No issues. I do wish they would evolve into the 21st century and get an online appointment system going, even the state has that.
