I just got back from my first visit and Cheatham County Animal Clinic and I have to say it was one of the best vets I have ever taken my dog to. I brought my black lab Karl in for skin allergies , an eye infection and to get his nails trimmed. My dog had major anxiety when it comes to nail trims so I knew it would be a hard task for them to do..But they did succeed and they were so nice about it , I was so grateful ! They explained everything to me and I appreciate how they didn’t try to force any unnecessary procedures or medications which I have had happen at the majority of other animal clinics. The meds I got were very cost effective and so was the cost of the office visit. I am so happy and relieved to have a new vet that I feel comfortable with and trust ! We moved to Ashland City a year and a half ago. We had been with our previous vet since 1987, and my husband and I—as well as our dogs—were very spoiled. We found this clinic online and it was close so we took a chance. Boy are we glad we did! We have our babies groomed there, and the vet we see is incredibly thorough. They just had their dentals, and Dr. Salvo had to actually drill into one of our female’s teeth to extract it. We received instructions for post-op care both verbally and written. Instructions were very thorough. While they were under anesthesia they even did a complimentary nail trim on them and given what we go through when we try, we were grateful! We are very pleased with the clinic. The staff is friendly, they spoil our babies while they are there, and Dr. Salvo is great.

The staff was very professional and friendly. My dog has gone to other groomers and due to fear biting they refused further service and did not complete the service. I was called by the groomer at Cheatham County animal clinic explaining she was having the same experience. Not surprised I said I would pick him up, but she then explained she understood he was scared and not aggressive and that she had completed most of the work and would allow him a break and I could bring him back the next day to finish. I took him back and she was able to finish with a muzzle. I was very pleased with her dedication and coming up with a solution rather than turn him away. He looked so good when she finished even with all the trouble she faced so I can imagine how good he would have looked had he been more cooperative. I definitely will be using this clinic from now on.

Have taken Oliver here 4 different times in the last two months or so for concerns. The staff is friendly. They have gone over everything they can do before they do it. They detail the costs before doing anything so i know how much ill pay for the service. They dont try to pressure you into getting anything done to your animal without your own input.

I have used CCAC for over a decade. My Yorkie is elderly. He is on congestive heart failure but he is still active and eating. They were kind enough to consult with a canine cardiologist on his behalf to see what medicines would benefit him best. This at no cost to me. I consider this great for two reasons 1. They went above and beyond 2. It’s important when an MD realizes something is possibly out of their scope and defers to a specialist. I wish more doctors did this. We have always been happy with their team.

Cool feature: they have an app with rewards, and texting or messaging capabilities to quickly get responses on issues or set up an appointment beyond a checkup. Our dogs both felt very safe with their staff. The vets listen well to owner concerns and works with them to discover the issue and proper remedy. Totally worth what you pay!

After a Google search of my own, I decided to try Cheatham County Animal Clinic (having tried several vets in Clarksville over the years and being disappointed both in value and expertise). I was impressed enough that they are now my go-to vet, even though it's a 40-minute drive each way. I will keep coming back for the knowledgeable, professional staff and the affordable, loving care they provide to my fur baby.

Everyone here is great! We take both of our dogs there and they remember both of their names and pretty much anything that's happened to them recently. Our big one also has some growling issues and they worked with him every visit and he no longer gets mad at them. Very easy to use and responsive appointment scheduling and reminder system as well.

I appreciate the competence, friendliness, and honesty I've received from the CCAC staff, both for medical appointments and for boarding! My cat is notoriously difficult with vets but their team made it easy to bring her in. My dog LOVES their office. The building was clean and organized and I felt reassured that my baby was in good hands the entire time. I will never take my babies, Sampson, Pearl and Jack to another vet!! I've been taking them here since I moved to the area 7 years ago. They make me feel that my babies are the most important patients there. Even my Sampson!! To say that he is a handful, is an understatement!! He is an absolute jerk at the vet's office. Even for a toe nail trim! It would have been a lot easier for them to refuse to see/treat him again!! But they didn't. Dr. Tracy and her staff have his number and they still take care of him like he was their own. If you haven't visited them, you really should!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Very thorough and patient during the exam. We were the last appointment of the day, but did not feel rushed. The Assistant was so caring for my baby that she gently brushed her while she was sedated. As we left the Vet carried her to my truck to keep her safe and comfortable. Thank you!

A great place to take your animals. Grooming for dogs is fantastic. They do a great job. Every time I take my dog Maverick they do a great service for my dog. That includes not just grooming but also all around animal care. I highly recommend them for your animals.

I'm not sure how often they feed the animals they board, and we probably should have asked beforehand. We picked our dog up later in the afternoon, and when we got him home he scarfed an entire large bowl of food down within 5 minutes. Which is not like him, and kind of concerning. Besides that, we definitely love their costs and dependability.

We have taken our pets to this clinic for years. One of our dogs, Toby, has a complex, chronic disease and can become quite ill. It is always frightening for us when he does become ill. The staff has always shown concern and compassion and have gone out of their way to provide great care for Toby (and reassurance for us). I noticed blood in the urine of our 10 yr old catahoula at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. I called the clinic, and they asked if I could be there in the next 30 minutes. They took Bella in immediately and ran a urine culture and ultrasound of her bladder, and within 15 minutes they confirmed that she had a urinary tract infection, and that it thankfully had not spread to her kidneys yet. Left 5 minutes later with antibiotic, probiotics and pain meds. These folks are AWESOME! Great service by caring professionals.

I've been taking my dog here for six years. They offer a variety of services for your pets. There is grooming as well as you pet seeing the Vetenerian and staff is wonderful. You also can purchase a variety of flea/took meds to several other necessary meds that your pet may need. They house overnight for your pets. Lots of services.

I have an 19 year old Himalayan cat, 2 dogs that were both rescues. My 10 year old dog is a mix of a French bulldog and a terrier. My 5 year old baby is a shih tzu and has to be groomed. CCAC IS AWESOME IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE SERVICES THAT I HAVE HAD DONE FOR MY BABIES! From vaccinations to emergency surgery that they have provided to my animals. I highly recommend them!

I have lived in Ashland City, TN about a five minute drive to Cheatham County Animal Clinic for 14 yrs. I am one of those "Fur-baby Mamas", but I never have more than one dog at a time. Dr. Tracy has been taking care of my dogs almost since we moved here about 14 yrs ago. At that time I had a little Maltese who was about ten yrs old, had a heart ccondition & was on daily meds. When it was his time to go, after a week of trying (at home to keep him hydrated via injections which Dr. Tracy had given us instructions, vials of saline & syringes) we knew we had all done our best but it was time to let him go. Dr Tracy agreed to come to our house early Monday morning to euthanize him. (He was a nervous wreck in a veterinary setting & I didn't want that as his last feeling.) Obviously it was time for him to go because he passed away peacefully in my arms only an hour before our appt for Dr Tracy to come to our home. Since then I've gotten another Maltese which she takes great care of. I've never been as pleased with both a Vet and the entire staff of a Veterinary Clinic. (I've lived in a number of different places, so I've had a lot to compare to). I highly recommend this clinic to anyone! Excellent atmosphere, staff & medical care. -Cyndi Whedon

My only negative remark is in a emergency situation Animal Clinics that montitor 24 hrs need to set up a monthly payment plan when all the money can not be paid upfront. I recently moved to Ashland City and my cat needed to be seen ASAP so I didn't really have a chance to research a reputable clinic like I normally would; However, I am so happy I found CCAC. Every employee I had enteraction with was so kind and helpful. I especially want to give praise to Dr. Fredin. She was incredibly patient and kind. Dr. Fredin went over every treatment option and was never pushy, instead she helped us decide what route is affordable with our finances but was also a benefical treatment. Having several cats with many vet visits over the years, Dr. Fedin and staff were a breath of fresh air compared to other clinics. They have made a happy and returning customer!
