This place is the BEST OF THE BEST!!! We have 3 very anxious rescue dogs and was recommended this place by our trainer. It’s an absolute game changer. Megan works with our Zena, who needs extra time and love at the vet, and makes miracles happen. I never thought I would see the day where our babies could walk into a vet and feel so understood and loved. The entire staff, including our favorites Megan and Dr. Vaughn, spend so much time making sure our dogs are beyond comfortable. They take the time (and treats) to understand each of our rescue babies, never pushing or rushing any visit, whether that means sitting on the floor on the dog’s level, or talking in sweet voices with music on to gain trust. We used to stress about going to the vet and now we can sleep at night knowing we have this incredible team on our side. Out of all of our 10+ years fostering and working with many dog rescues, we’ve never met a staff more loving and kind. These people are godsends and meant for this job. The best decision you could ever make for your pet is bringing them HERE. Thank you for changing our lives, alongside Corduroy, Zena, and JoJo!!!

My review may be a little bit different than most on here. We moved here eight years ago and have been a client the whole time. Eight years ago our rescue, Bella, was only six years old. She had always been very athletic and full of energy. Being in a car caused her anxiety, so just the process of getting in a car and going to see a vet caused anxiety. She is now between 13 and 14 years old. She has always felt very loved and cared for and less anxious about going to her vet appointments. Fast forward to a year ago when Dr. Sansom, who had been keeping some eyes on some lymph nodes, diagnosed her as possibly having lymphoma. While we waited for the pathology report to come back, we were recommended to an excellent Oncologist who could see her ASAP. We chose to do chemo and through that process we had several times where we were able to come back to blue oasis to do blood work. It has now been a year or close to it since that diagnosis and six months, post chemo and in remission. We are back under the total care of Blue Oasis once again. Bella has been through a lot and is a trooper and is now being seen every couple of months to ensure she stays as healthy as possible for the rest of what is left of her senior life. Dr. Atkins and staff have made her feel loved, and at ease all over again. I know that they are there for us in every way possible as we enter a very difficult phase of life. I couldn’t recommend them more. Oh, Bella says they have the best treats, especially when you get spoonfuls of peanut butter.

I had a really bad experience at another local vet so I was a bit nervous bringing in my cat lyla. I bought a house last year and she came with it. She’s been on the property for at least 8 years and no one had taken her to a vet before. So I knew there were a lot of things that I needed to have done for her. The front desk was able to get an appointment and walked me through medicating her for the visit to help with her anxiety. They had a room specifically for cats and got us in quickly so we weren’t waiting in the waiting area. They let my cat get comfortable with the room and with them before doing anything. They used just the right amount of force/convincing and gentleness with my cat. Other than her being obsessed with churu after, my cat is doing great!

My pup is pretty easy going! He usually is healthy as a horse. One day I brought him in for vaccines and annual blood work and afterwards the poor guy was feeling awful. I called them in a panic and they saw him right away. They gave him X-rays (didn’t see anything) and an examination. They sent us home with meds following an injection for nausea (made him feel so much better) with the caveat to call if anything was off. I was told all my options to make him feel better and they were VERY transparent with prices. Turns out he ate something and was able to pass it later. The tech Jasmine called and checked on us the next day and the vet called me to talk to me about his blood work. Everyone seems to really care about my pup, from front office, to tech, to vet. If you go here, I’m sure you will notice the immense warmth/care this office will have towards your best friend.

From the moment I walked in with my dog through the moment I left, I felt as if every staff member treated my dog like she was their own. The exam was thorough, everything was explained to me in great detail and I couldn't be happier I chose Blue Oasis The facility itself is incredibly clean, calm and quiet. This is tremendously helpful for a dog like mine who tends to get overestimated quickly.

Amazing experience here. We had to find a new vet when we moved here from out of state. The first vet we tried made my dog terrified and he hated having to go. However, My pup loved the staff at Blue Oasis. They take their time to fully examine the pup and make sure they are comfortable at the same time!

The vet and techs really took their time getting to know my dog and earn her trust. This was the first time I have ever seen her treated so softly by a professional. I was shocked by how amazing they were in everything that they did! I would highly recommend this place for any animal. They really know their stuff! Now that I have found blue oasis I am thankful I never have to go back to Banfield inside petsmart ever again! I had almost forgotten what it was like to have a vet and nurses that actually care about your animal. They got me in for a walk-in appointment because my dog was having a skin issue. They were very knowledgeable about what was going on and helped me treat it that same day. All the staff was very kind. They even got to book a neutering surgery that my other vet could have been paid for if they had been even one ounce as concerned for my pets health as blue oasis was. Our family (now 3 fur babies) love Blue Oasis Pet Hospital and have been clients since they opened. We recently were gifted with a beautiful kitten (who had been thrown out of a vehicle on our dead-end road - it was just terrible and very scary). They were able to see us that day and 10 weeks later, due to their amazing care, she has healed beautifully. We would not go anywhere else. Our older dog and cat always enjoy their "fear free" visits too!

I can’t even begin to describe how absolutely amazing the staff is at this practice. One of my dogs was needing to be muzzled during vaccines at our previous vet and the other one would shake and pee in the corner. We just had our first visit with Blue Oasis and what a complete difference! My dogs were calm, happy, tail wagging the whole time. One of my dogs even got blood drawn and had no idea as she was being distracted by other staff. There was zero stress for them or me. I left feeling great instead of guilty and sad that my dogs were scared. They really go at your dogs pace. Exams are done while being petted and not restrained. They check you out in the exam room so you’re not at the desk with other animals if you have dogs that don’t do well with that. It was truly a joy and I wanted to cry happy tears instead of sad tears. Thank you Blue Oasis! You guys are doing something amazing and truly making a difference in my dogs life.

One of the most outstanding vet experiences ever and I have had MANY! They were incredible. We were greeted with much enthusiasm and everyone made a point to engage with our dog and make her feel extremely welcome. Vet tech met with us for a good 20 minutes of “get to know you” time. Vet took her time on the floor with our anxious girl and never left her side. Pretty sure it was close to an hour for a normal exam, two vaccines and a blood draw, but that’s what it took to get everything done in the most calm, stress free way. I can’t give them enough kudos and I strongly recommend them for dogs of all temperaments and anxiety!

I was looking for a new vet after my last one terrified my dog and didn’t listen. This hospital is fear free and they actually listen. They read my intake paperwork about how my dog reacts to certain things and were totally prepared. They had treats and toys as distractions and didn’t hold her down when she got nervous. They took the time to make us both comfortable and for that I will continue to return.

This is the best vet office we’ve ever had BY FAR!! I cannot rave about their business enough!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 We found them because we had a very sick, younger dog (4 years old, and her breed typically has a life expectancy of 12-14+ years) who was not improving and our prior vet back then wasn’t cutting it. So we found Blue Oasis and let me tell you they are thorough, sweet, genuine, and SUPER transparent. After being boarded for treatment, our doggo needed to be transferred to a bigger vet hospital because she had unfortunately taken a sharp turn for the worse. I arrived super afraid and extremely shaken up because this dog was some of the closest family I’ve ever had and we didn’t fully know what was wrong with her. When I went to pick her up, the vet sat us down in a separate room and calmly explained EVERY single aspect of EVERY single test/lab they had run and explained their differentials as well as why the test/lab was performed. They allowed us time to not only ask a ton of questions— while being incredibly gentle and genuine— but they didn’t rush us at all (even though they had to close up their office for the day soon thereafter) and they even took time to commiserate with and comfort us. Ultimately, our dog passed away after a few more weeks— but it was only after this vet had tried everything they could possibly do and it was extremely apparent to us that was the case. They made one of the most hellish periods of my life more bearable and I will forever be grateful and indebted to them for that. They even sent us an incredible card after our doggo passed— filled with lots of super thoughtful messages/condolences— with an insert that had seeds for us to plant some flowers in our dog’s memory. Several months later, we got another puppy and we knew that the only vet we wanted for our newest addition to the family was this vet and this vet’s office. This office, to this day, consistently goes far beyond the call of duty and exceeds expectations literally every single time we have to contact them. I know I can call them about any question I have about our puppy and I will get a timely, thorough answer every time. If you have a dog anywhere near Mount Juliet: this is the ONLY vet’s office you should consider, period! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 They will treat your dog like their own and treat you like family. We are so blessed to have found them!!!

Wonderful vets! Really good at helping anxious dogs feel relaxed. Our dog likes our vets and she has trauma from past abuse that prevents her from getting along well with strangers. Great experience with very skilled personnel! Went in with my dog who has partial face paralysis. I was and still am very concerned about this condition but the doctor gave me a positive prognosis for her recovery favoring a bad ear infection as the most likely cause for this. Hopefully the prescribed medications and ear/eye drops help to alleviate her symptoms until she recovers from the infection. I feel confident that my girl got top notch care and we're praying for a speedy recovery 🥰👍.

Blue Oasis is amazing. The best vet experience I’ve ever had. I was looking for a new vet because we had some not so great experiences at our last one, and I didn’t feel like my concerns were taken seriously. I had heard about Blue Oasis through a neighbor and was told that they are fear free certified, which means that they will do everything in their power to make your fur baby as anxiety free as they can. I was a little nervous about going to a new vet because of our past, but decided we would try them. When we arrived there was another pup in the little waiting area who wanted to make sure everyone knew he was there (haha very vocal), they quickly checked me in and put us into an exam room so that we could wait in the quiet. Although both my pup(Chuy) and myself were still a little nervous about how the visit would go, that was quickly gone. When Megan came into the exam room with us, Chuy did her typical “if I don’t look at them, maybe they won’t see me” behavior. Megan was super patient with her and sat on the floor while she chatted with me about our history. After a while, Chuy came around and decided she was curious about Megan and wanted to say hello. By the time Dr. Lucas came in to meet us, Chuy had jumped up on the bench next to me and was just hanging out. Majority of the exam was performed with her laying, sprawled out next to me. They gave her treats and distracted her the whole time. I don’t think Chuy even realized she was being examined, as she left there feeling she made 2 new friends. Every concern I had was gone. Every question I asked was thoroughly explained. I can honestly say that picking Blue Oasis as my new vet was the best decision I made. I haven’t met the whole staff, but everyone I have met is super friendly. They listen to your concerns and make sure you are just as much taken care of through everything. They followed up to see how we were doing after the visit and if we had any additional questions that had come up. Also, they made it super easy and convenient to order our prescriptions and made sure to check that I had no issues with that process either. I have already recommended them to others - they are just wonderful!!! If you’re thinking about going here, do it!! You won’t regret it! Dr. Lucas has been amazing with our 11 year old Yorkie, Pookie, (which is also our only child)! Pookie had a Mast Cell Tumor on her left ear that had to be amputated quickly. I don't think Dr. Lucas could have been more empathetic. She was very professional and genuinely concerned. Her staff is very knowledgeable and always helpful. Blue Oasis has changed me and my dog's life in the best way possible. Our experience with other vets has been stressful and as time went on, my Great Dane turned into the dog who could not be handled by anyone at the vet without full sedation (sad and expensive). Enough was enough and we made the switch to Blue Oasis. Their fear-free approach was exactly what we needed and throughout our visits together over the past year, my pup went from growling, lunging and hesitation to enter the building to practically dragging me inside for the relaxing, treat-filled and wonderful experience they bring to the table. They recommended at-home training exercises to better prepare him for the vet experience which I happily practiced with success when it was time to go back for a re-check. I never thought my pup would be able to be handled at the vet again while conscious, let alone actually enjoy the experience and consent to the procedures he had to endure. I love every single person in that building. Grateful doesn't even begin to describe what I feel for this team.

When we adopted our first dog we knew we had to find a reliable and trustworthy vet to care for her, and Dr. Lucas and her stellar staff far exceeded our expectations. Dr. Lucas, Leticia, and team were amazing--our cat needed some major dental work done; we were nervous as our cat had not responded well to vet visits in the past. The Blue Oasis team treated our cat like a member of their own family, and treated my wife and I like partners in the process. At each point, we were educated about all options, medications, procedures, and the cost of what was being done. I can't say enough. They took something that we had been dreading and turned it into a great experience for us, and most importantly our cat. We had the same great experiences at BO with our dog, as well. I found Blue Oasis when I moved to Middle Tennessee. The doctors were referred to me by a fellow dog lover. I am so glad I took his advice! Dr Sanson is fantastic, she always takes time to explain everything about my dog’s heart disease. From labs to ultrasounds she makes sure that I am involved in his care and carefully goes over all of the questions that I have. We travel 45 minutes to visit her even though there are plenty of vets in my area. She is a God send.

We have had 2 English bulldogs who have been served by both of the Doctors. They go beyond to try and fit u in when their is a need. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. Every experience at Blue Oasis is a great one. My pug baby has been going there two years now and everyone there really cares about animals. Dr. Lucas is wonderful and easy to communicate with, also thorough in making sure our needs are met. The staff is brave when the pug needs a "pawdicure" and he has actually become more calm during it (the peanut butter probably helped). I would highly recommend Blue Oasis, and do so often on social media. The office is clean and beautiful as well.

I will never take my animals anywhere else. The staff are all very professional, courteous, and compassionate. They are really knowledgeable and have the most up-to-date practices that ensure your pet will be well taken care of. The doctors actually listen to your concerns and will patiently answer all your questions. When my elderly cat needed to go in for an emergency tooth extraction they took great care of her. She had been diagnosed with some heart issues that made putting her under anesthesia a risk. Dr. Lucas and her team communicated the risk and how they would do everything in their power to make sure the process was as safe as possible. Luckily, everything went perfectly, but I had a lot of faith that Dr. Lucas and her team would have done everything in their power to save my little Amy if it had come to that. I love the doctors and staff at Blue Oasis and will always trust them to take care of my animals as if they were their own.

Now that she has her own practice she still offers top of the line dental care plus the very best in wellness care for our beloved pets. Our dog needed a nail trim and tends to be nervous at the vet. When I called to make his appointment, the front desk easily coordinated getting him in and made his entire experience great. They were so caring and comforting to me when doing a second opinion on my cat Merlin. Starting with the questionnaire they sent in advance of my appointment to understand my dog's preferences and stress triggers and continuing with the gentle handling and patience they demonstrated during her exam, we both felt like her experience was tailor-made for her. Each and every one of the team made us feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed and they took their time to answer questions with expertise and kindness and it put my dog and I both at ease. It's amazing how little things like having cheese on hand (my dog's favorite!) and allowing you to check out of your appointment in the exam room (rather than bottlenecking in the reception area, a major point of stress with most pets) make such a difference - the facility design, fear-free philosophy, and total approach of Blue Oasis strives to minimize the discomfort for pets during what is typically a frightening, stressful time. We both truly felt taken care of - I don't know if I can say that about any other vet hospital we've ever been to. AWESOME! Blue Oasis is fantastic. I have a dog that has high anxiety at vet clinics, and the staff here is superb. First, they don’t judge (me or my dog). They understand my dog is afraid not bad. Second, every single member of the staff was laser focused on making Gemma comfortable and cared for. They have such a great attitude. Third, and the most critical, Dr. Samson is Simply. The. Best. We have been going to Blue Oasis over 4 years now and they continue to wow us. This week we took one of our dogs in who is completely terrified of going to the vet. They took their time with him and showed tremendous patience with him. The fear free approach is just what he needed. He got treats and played ball and Dr. Lucas was able to examine him and even get a blood draw for his heart worm test. Our Hank had a positive experience and his fear of the vet will decrease each visit. They are amazing and I wish we would have thought to video this because it was truly amazing.

Once again, the team (Dr. Sansom and nurse Dannette) at Blue Oasis saved my baby and got her back on track!! I moved 30 miles away from this place but will continue to come back no matter where I live. I LOVE the girls up there, they are truly in touch with my doggies feelings, whether they are going through pain or wagging with excitement! They are loving, patient, trustworthy and most of all so, so incredibly good to all of my pets. I can tell that they love all of my animals just like they were their own. I've tried going to other Vets closer to my house but I have never found a place like Blue Oasis, ever. Dr. Lucas and her staff are amazing! My English Bulldog Jinks ADORES going to visit all of her friends when she needs her allergy shots. The office is always super clean, everyone is friendly, and the prices are good; especially considering the service level we receive! When Jinks needed eye surgery I was given the option to sit in and watch Dr. Lucas perform the procedure. I thought that was an awesome level of transparency and it was appreciated. (I'm a big weenie when it comes to my pets though so watching wasn't in the cards for me! lol!) My dog has a lot of health issues and every time something has come up Dr. Lucas has worked with us to not only discover the best solutions but to also work within the confines of our life situation and it has made all the difference with Jinks's health. Blue Oasis Pet Hospital is the place to take our furry loved ones. The staff goes above and beyond and answers all my questions regardless if I asked the same one the last visit. :) I am a very attentive dog mom and when I met Dr. Lucas, I immediately knew she would take care of my furbabies which she has exceeded my expectations. We recently added a new puppy to the family and she has made a point to make his vet experience a positive experience so that he will learn that coming to the Dr. is not bad.. He is a large need pup so she gave me pointers on how to start teaching him now so that I can control him when he reaches his adult weight.. I also have a 12 year terrier who is moody but she always takes her time with him and eases him into getting his checkup. She took some of his teeth recently and she and the staff made sure I was provided periodical updates during the procedure. I was super nervous since they had to give him nitrous oxide and did I say he is 12...so I was over the top nervous but felt very calm once they started. Afterwards, he bounced back and has had no more issues with his pain.... I want to say Thank - You to Everyone at Blue Oasis!!!

Dr. Lucas was wonderful today. Went to see her for a possible dental surgery on my 18 yr old cat. Dr. Lucas wanted to be sure my cat could endure the surgery so she spent time checking various aspects of her health and determined it might be better to weigh all the options before administering an anesthetic that could possibly result in some post-op negative outcomes. I was apprehensive going to see a vet I had never seen before but Dr. Lucas was so thorough and so honest, I am looking forward to a return visit. From our very first visit with Dr. Sansom and Jess to our most recent surgery with Dr. Lucas and Jess, I have continued to be impressed. I’ve never experienced a vet who puts so much importance on the owner-pet relationship, and it’s a great thing. My little guy just had a lot of bad teeth extracted, and I got to be with him through the sedation process, and into the surgery. Dr. Lucas and Jess were incredible – they answered all my (many) questions, walked me through why they were doing each thing, and put so much care into giving Jasper their absolute best. The ladies at Blue Oasis gave my little guy extra snuggles, and carried him around while we was recovering and waiting for me to pick him up. They loved on him like I would, and I couldn’t ask for more than that. The next day (a Saturday), Jess called to check on Jasper to make sure he was feeling ok and I had no concerns. I was raised on a farm and have had dogs for over 40 years and in this time I've dealt with "country" vets as well as "city" vets having lived in Orlando, Miami, and Dallas. Put simply, Dr. Lucas at Blue Oasis is the best Vet I have experienced in the 28 years of having dogs in my family. What stood out: 1.) First, Dr. Lucas is very well educated, but comes across approachable and down to earth (literally getting down on the floor to do a full physical exam of our two dogs). She even taught me how to express my Labradoodle's anal glands...which is a big deal for anyone with a dog that has this issue :-) 2.) We were with our dogs the entire time and even went back to what is regularly regarded as a "staff only" area in other Vet clinics/hospitals for our dogs blood work and vaccines. 3.) Finally, price matters and Blue Oasis was a full $200 less than last year's check-up in Cincinnati, OH. There was no surprise at the end of the exam as cost estimates were shared along the way.

Dr. Lucas and her entire staff at Blue Oasis Pet Hospital in Mt Juliet is the best vet my dogs have ever known! She was able to effectively treat an obnoxious itching problem for my dogs in which other vets were all unsuccessful. I have 2 lapdogs that require extra TLC. 1 is a rescue dog and he was very skiddish w/ other vets. Dr. Noel Lucas won him over w/ patience, gentleness, and understanding. He now delights when he sees her. The other is 1 yr old and has non-stop energy. She won't sit still for me ever, lol. I was amazed to see how Dr. Lucas' soothing voice and expert dog psychology awareness puts Daisy into a state of tranquility w/ ease. What really helps alot is the fact that you are allowed to stay with your pet during any exam or procedure. They are thrilled to allow you full access to their state of the art facility and explain all aspects of treatment. Nothing is "behind closed doors". They also seem to specialize in small pets of any variety. I am eternally grateful to her and her staff for finding a loving home for 2 adorable guinea pigs I had rescued and in desperate need of a home.

Dr. Noel Lucas and the staff were very professional ,friendly and skilled in lovingly preparing my Baxter for surgical dental cleaning and probable extractions. The nurses and techs constantly talked to and rubbed Baxter. He was very nervous and I was able to hold him throughout the prep, then he was taken to another room for a cardiac test and brought back to me. All during this time I was being told what to expect and how Baxter would probably respond, even to the calming and sedating meds were given, I was able to hold Baxter. That gave me a great sense that all was well and would be well when I had to leave him. I was called when the procedure ended, and given Baxter’s condition, which was very good. And told when I could pick him up. Pain meds in syringes worked so well. Thanks to all at Blue Oasis, Baxter feels a whole lot better 1 week later! Mom

Props to Dr. Lucas and all of her staff at the Blue Oasis Pet Hospital in Mt. Juliet! My youngest cat, Bindi, was suddenly sick with a pretty high fever yesterday and we called Blue Oasis to see about getting her in. They didn't have any regular appointment openings but told us to bring her in and they would work us in. We were able to get into a room right away. Dr. Lucas came in shortly after that and got to work on our sweet, Bindi. Always a wealth of information and such a wonderful, fun bedside manner, Dr. Lucas was able to put our minds at rest about the gravity of the situation. A couple of injections to help and some meds to take home and we were good to go! Bindi is so much better today. I am so glad we didn't wait and got her in yesterday. We were prepared to have to wait but really didn't have much of a wait at all. As always, the staff was top notch, very professional and personable. We are so fortunate to have someone of Dr. Lucas' caliber in the Mt. Juliet area now. We have complete confidence in Dr. Lucas and her staff and would recommend them to anyone.

I have an excitable and incredibly stubborn 60 lb GWP who is historically very difficult at vet visits (and baths). I decided to try Blue Oasis because they stress that they are fear-free and I have to say, I was not disappointed and neither was Henry! They were very thoughtful, took extra time to get to know us both and made it an extremely pleasant vet visit. I would absolutely recommend them and they will be my go-to moving forward. I only wish they could be with us for bath time....
