Won't lie, this place is in a rough part of town. HOWEVER, I have been taking my pups here for years. The staff is educated and extremely loving. They do a great job in every way. Always get the best way to care for my dogs. I once went to multiple vets to figure out my dogs stomach problems and this was the only place that solved the underlying issue. Thank you Animal House! My dogs are healthy and living a wonderful life with your help.

Thankfully you were able to schedule surgery the following day as she might not be here today due to internal bleeding. Dr. Heckle was so great. We’re here evacuating from Nola and were panicked when our dog started breathing quickly. There was a wait but it was great to have a walk in available. I have so much love and respect for the fine folks at Animal House! With 4 dogs, I have spent lots of time there with sickness, 2 ACL surgeries as well as routine shots and check-ups. I am thankful for their expertise and appreciate the way we are greeted and treated when we are there. Jess & Scarlet (vet techs) always greet me (and my dogs!) by name, with a huge smile and always go the extra mile to help. Most recently, I needed another blanket in the back of my car to make my dog more comfortable post surgery, and they came right to the rescue- no problem. Our dogs are our family, and we have many choices for vet care. We highly recommend Animal House and we are grateful for their expertise.

AHVC Antioch saved the day when I needed a pet euthanized and our vet was not available. All staff members were very understanding, compassionate and professional. They explained the process and answered all our questions. From check-in to completion, it took about 3 hours, not that long for a walk-in clinic, on a Monday! The fee was very reasonable and we were given a thoughtful custom keepsake at no charge. I recommend this clinic!

GREAT CARE.. Brought in my ferral cat Gray.. Florida had swollen leg and other bare spots.. He disappeared for a month cam back so skinny and injured.. They ran test find out he has cancer and FIV.. We both agreed put him down.. They first gave him a shot to put him asleep and then a shot to make him go over the 🌈. They asked if like a stone with his paw print and name.. So sweet and put his body in a bag.. If have to say good bye to you pet kid this is perfect place to go.. They are very caring...

Great friendly staff! Even though you can't make an appointment, they were fast and efficient and we weren't there too long. We have 2 mini schnauzers, Milo and Max, and they both needed all of their annual tests, shots, and monthly medicines for fleas, ticks, and heartworm prevention. They were very knowledgeable about the mini schnauzer breed. They also made sure that we got the best prices on everything we needed. They also give a referral fee to the person who referred you there, so feel free to tell them we sent you to Animal House, if you want. Lol! Our fur babies were still wagging their stubby little tails and our wallets weren't that empty when we left. Lol! We've used many different vets over our many years of owning dogs and this place is one of the best.

I couldn't get my cat into my regular vet. I was so relieved that this place had walk-ins. They took great care of my cat, and the cost was reasonable. They even messaged me today to see how he was doing. I have never had a vet do that before.

My cat had a urinary blockage and they took wonderful care of him. He had to go back in for a second surgery sadly but they were excellent the whole way through. From the start Ariel went out of her way to give me different financial options. And the doctors were great in keeping me updated and reassuring me. Stitches came out about a week ago and he is doing great. Will be a repeat customer.

Incredibly impressed with this place! I found this vet clinic when my dog was sick and I couldn’t get him in to his vet for a full week. This vet is 100% walk-in and I’ve only had to wait about 30 minutes both times I’ve gone. Techs and vets are all wonderful— knowledgeable, informative, and kind. Also I love that they tell you the cost upfront and get your consent before doing any treatment. So far this vet has been much less expensive than the vet I usually go to. Would highly recommend and am now a loyal customer!

I love this vet they're always thorough and friendly. They are usually pretty busy this wait time was a little bit longer than usual but it's understandable with the pandemic and everybody having to be a walk-in only but other than that visit was great always kind staff. I also love that the vet will call and talk to you about your pet before they do anything additional and just generally update you on their progress. Dr. Emily is always very friendly and considerate and will work with you and suggest to you what cans be done.

My cat was kept here for 6 hours to do an x-ray and bloodwork. I arrived at the clinic at 8:15am, was seen around 8:45, then after being told it would take 1.5 hours, was not able to retrieve my cat until 3pm. I had no intention of spending my entire day waiting for my cat. I took the morning until noon off from work thinking around 4 hours should be enough time. I had to call twice my self to figure out what was going on with my cat. Otherwise it seemed she/I was forgotten about. I know this clinic gets busy, but it's just an OK clinic, and I spent over $500 for the tests and some medicine that I already gave my cat for the same issue that did not help, hence why I came back. It's sort of advertised as an affordable clinic, but I'm not so sure about that. The time management is very poor. They also never gave me back her harness she was wearing when I brought her in, but I didnt notice it was missing until I got home. Unfortunately, I'll have to plan ahead and just choose a different clinic next time.

Kind, caring yet professional from receptionis to Dr. Yvette Pennington who's kind words in time of distress were highly appreciated. She not only updated about my pet cat's state of health but her compassion towards Garfield 😾 gave me peace of mind that he indeed well taken care off and in good loving hand's. The estimate for medical treatment was $250, by time of Garfield's pickup the actual bill was $217 which was another pleasant surprise and confirmed that honest professionals are still in existence. Dr Mitchell is an amazing diagnostician! My German Shepherd started improving in less than 24 hours. Keep in mind she had never seen my dog because I was in Nashville for a conference. Will was so calm and gentle with my dog. I cannot say enough good things about the whole staff! Bravo!

Very good communication and care with our first visit to Animal House Vet Clinic. They can be busy so you may encounter a wait but so few vet clinics accept walk ins and I found their care very thorough - excellent follow up as well. I Understand now why they come so highly recommended!

Great place to take your pets, I've had good results for multiple dogs across more than a decade. Fairly popular, so be prepared to potentially wait up to thirty minutes. Prices for basic checkups and vaccinations are lower than average, and they offer just about every service a pet could need, such as lab work, radiology, or end of life services. Overall, a trustworthy place to go, and will be even better when this darn pandemic is confined to the annals of history.

They have helped me with all my babies. Sadly I had to walk out without one and they did the best that they could with her. Although it was her time to go I definitely feel like they did everything in their power to give her everything she needed and I never doubted her safety there and I knew regardless of the circumstances that she was in good hands. In a nutshell, there's no place else we would come for veterinary care. I heard about this location years ago and although it's a bit of a drive for us, it's well worth every mile. Staff has never been any less than wonderful. They have an open door policy, walk-ins accepted, the price is a fraction of anywhere else and everyone is always so sweet. We visited Animal House Veterinarian early one Friday evening when our cat had a severe abscess and his cheek was so swollen...we had stopped at our regular veterinary but they would not even look at him without an appointment. They were so compassionate and understanding and took him in, even though their parking lot was full...they relieved the pressure and sent him home with pain medicine. Even with it being a weekend, they checked in on him and replied when I had a concern. We set up surgery the following Monday but was given a complete estimate...so...no surprises! We came home with medications and verbal explanations..he is doing well and we are so grateful for all their kindness and concern...what a super staff!🤗♥️

BEST VET IN NASHVILLE Outstanding staff. The doctors are amazing. It’s 5 star service at a 2 star price, but there is nothing mediocre about this place. We just adopted our little boy Nimbus a week ago. This was our first time with Animal House and honestly vets in general, but Dr. Pennington, Lindsey, and Breana gave excellent service. The entire staff is just so nice and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure our kitty was comfortable. Their walk-in system is also extremely convenient, as the earliest reservation I could get with vets around Nashville was the next week.

I’ve started bringing my kitten here for its vaccines checkups and what not, it’s been a pleasant experience every time and they’re affordable! A little problem getting appointment with code so called in. Answered quickly. Had to release our cat from pain and they did it very professionally and well. Oreo was falling over and had lost a lot of weight too. Felt bad about it but was taken care of at the end. They give you a paw print and plaster cast token for your pet which was unexpected and nice. They treated our pet with dignity, explained the process and he passed on with little or no pain. You are given choices on disposition of your pet and we took ours home and made a final resting place. I highly recommend them for veterinary services and for more.

Overall the people and the procedure to seemed to go very well. I had my dog neutered and everything seemed to go great, at least so far. My only complaint is the check-in/pick-up process which required entering a bunch of the same information both times on my phone. This was a bit of a pain and redundant but overall I would definitely recommend them as the price is quite reasonable compared to most vets. I paid $210 for neuter, wellness exam and microchip.

Our normal vet was all booked up in our pup was injured. Not only were they able to get us in but I didn't even have to wait for a walk-in appointment! The staff and vet were super nice and helpful with my crazy dog. I would recommend them to anybody.

I was super anxious about Molly's dental extraction, but at Animal House everything was super straightforward and half the price that some other vets in the Nashville area were quoting. They were also able to save a lot of her teef! The staff were very friendly and kind. A little over a week later and Molly's back to her normal self, and will be much healthier in the long run!

I've always taken my pets here growing up in Nashville. When I moved 50 miles away I was hesitant on going to a new vet because this place always went above and beyond to explain everything they were doing. I recently went back for a 2nd opinion and not only did they save me over $1,000, but they were able to explain,what the other vets didnt, what was wrong with my dog and were able to squeeze him in at the last minute. I can't thank them enough for the care they've provided my animals in the past,present, and I'm sure future.

Edited review: We talked to the owner and our situation is better understood. A very rude and hurtful technician lead to a terrible experience for my close friend, but this has been rectified and confusion is gone. My cat loves this vet but we are more cautious moving forward.

We were in need of an urgent exam for an abandoned kitten we found and wanted to re-home if he was heathy enough; we could not keep him. Good luck finding help on a Friday afternoon!!! But we talked with Animal House, and they said bring him over. Their setup with check-in online, waiting in car until time, and then being directed to an exam room without sitting in a waiting room with a crowd of people and animals was very efficient! The vet, Dr Spence, and the nurse, Katy, were both so professional and kind. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them! Btw the kitten is ok and is being adopted by my daughter’s friend! Thanks so much!

This was my best vet experience I've ever been to! Busy full lobby on a Saturday, it was still very quick yet so on top of what my pet needed and the staff communication was the best I have ever seen. Everyone there was treated nicely and walked through various options and such. All of the staff we talked to we're smiling, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with care. They were really friendly and my cat loves them. They gave her nails a trim and checked her vitals and gave her flea killer thing that last a month. They also had a grant thing so my whole time there was free. Also it only took about 20 minutes when she went back there. I will definitely return.

This was an amazing experience. My cat had a bladder stone, and I brought her in for an exam after work one day (her regular vet couldn't get her in for weeks). The wait was very minimal even though the lobby had quite a few people in it. The price was very reasonable - they came in less than the quote. They were also able to get her into surgery 2 days after her exam. Overall, amazing experience during a really stressful situation. Everyone who saw her was up-to-date on her information, so I didn't have to explain over and over again. The staff was super friendly from the techs to the receptionists! I am switching both of my cats to go here from now on!

Cannot recommend this office and it's staff highly enough. Kind and professional from first to last. Informative and helpful in understanding the options. Animal House Vet & staff are great! They provide excellent care, quickly and affordability. My kitten, Potato was a patient (after the previous clinic he went to applied either too much flea medicine or he had an allergic reaction to it). Potato was a patient here throughout his recovery and he is 100% thanks to Animal House. This was our second home for a while. As I tend to be very particular about making sure he was ok. I would send after-hour concerns to the email and online website and received timely responses. I highly recommend Animal House for all your fur baby needs. Don’t forget to ask for their recommendations on concerns you’re not familiar with. I always got the best advice after asking for their suggestions on flea prevention, etc. Potato is a heathy kitten now thanks to Animal House. Potato and I appreciate you all very much! 🐱❤️

Staff members are very courteous & professional (although I've only spoken to the "runners" •staff who come to your car to get your pet & then bring them back to your car after vet has seen them•); prices are VERY competitive; the only concern I have is that you can't go in to see the facility; I even asked if it would be possible to set up a "walk thru" at a later date but was told that the only exception to allowing anyone other than staff inside was if an animal was being euthanized. Having said that, I would still recommend Animal House to family and friends.

Love, love, love...Animal House! Would not take my cats and dogs anywhere else. When my 19 year old Siamese cat was in pain and ready to be put to sleep, they were so compassionate and caring. Scarlett, my sweet Dachshund normally has anxiety when I take her into a clinic but since we found Animal House she seems more relaxed in the way the Techs and Vets treat, and interact with her, as they are treating her for her current condition! Super quick!!! with everything going on with Covid I expected to be there for hours, but the staff has it together and its run like a well oiled machine! I have a 7 yr. old 5 lb. poodle and had put off getting her spayed because of all the horror stories I have heard regarding small dogs and anesthesia. They were amazing. These people are amazing. My cat was hit by a car and broke his humerus, so I took him to NVS since it was after hours. NVS charged me over $600 for x-rays alone, and said they'd charge $3500-6000 for surgery and amputation would be the same price. I called probably 20 places the next day and finally found this place... The vet called me back after reviewing his x-rays and was the first person to really seem like they cared and wanted to help me. After one failed attempt at surgery (he was too weak for the anesthesia) and then the real deal I still paid far far less than the lowest quote anyone gave me, and my little baby is already doing SO much better. I cannot recommend this place enough.. don't let the area and exterior looks deter you away.

Dr. Herd (owner) and staff are absolutely phenomenal. My cat, Pilaf, came in with tremors and a tongue lesion from some horrific flea/tick repellent wipes (Vet's Best, "CAT SAFE") that made her unable to eat and even drink. Immediately, Dr. Herd knew what was going on, anesthetized my rather unfriendly cat, and gave her a thorough bath to get the essential oils of the product off (they even cut my cat's nails and trimmed up some matted fur on her belly while she was out!). While my cat was out, Dr. Herd brought me back to see my cat's mouth to point out what exactly was wrong. She also expressed major discontent that this company was so irresponsible as to sell a product with MULTIPLE INGREDIENTS that are TOXIC to cats. I have never had a better experience at a vet and I have had animals my entire life. Every staff member was extremely nice and Dr. Herd was genuinely concerned about my cat. They are also EXTREMELY well priced (visit, pain meds for her tongue, flea collar, and vaccines). I was expecting to pay nearly three times what they ended up charging me! BEST VET CLINIC, HANDS DOWN. 5/5. Dr. Herd is a phenomenal vet. Knowledgeable and compassionate!!! I was completely blown away.

We took him to an an emergency vet and they quoted us around $2,500 to do the surgery and wouldn’t do it unless we paid up front. This is a “walk-in” only clinic. I went right after they opened, parked, called the front desk and gave her the lowdown on what was going on with my kitty. Within minutes someone came to get her from my car (during Covid times), and I was leaving about 45 minutes later. Granted my kitten has a little virus and they only had to do a few things, but I’ve had to take my dog and this kitten to the vet several times this year while we have to wait in our cars for HOURS. This is the quickest one I’ve been to yet, now that doesn’t mean some days will be busier than others. I do know I will be changing vets to this one!!

I am absolutely impressed with this clinic! From them staying open an hour later than business hours, trying to find an answer for my dog's illness, to the bedside manner. Dr. Cooper and the tech (Katie??) were excellent the moment I walked in the door. It's a walk-in clinic no appointment necessary so it's chaotic kind of like Grand Central station at rush hour. However the staff is top-notch. My cat was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and spent six days here and the bill was just over $1,000. That seems high but for 6 days of round-the-clock care compared to what other hospitals. would have charged it's very reasonable. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I took my dog in for teeth cleaning and extraction. During the review process of my quote I was told extractions are 10 to 50 dollars. From simple to worse case. So they quoted me 150 just in case they had to extract multiple teeth. ONE TOOTH. One tooth was pulled but because it was decaying badly they decided to charge me the $150 price! That is just ridiculous. First I'm told 50 dollars worse case per tooth. Now they're going to triple that price for one tooth? Very mad and feel like I was robbed. Just glad my dog is ok.

I took my elderly dog to Animal House 2 years ago when my regular vet couldn't see us quickly enough. Later that year, we had to have him put to sleep and again chose Animal House. My mother and I were sobbing uncontrollably and noticed the vet and vet tech were also emotional. They are so compassionate and do their best to help all clients, including those who can't afford certain procedures and meds. We have since decided to transfer all of our four dogs and one cat to Animal House! They text me & I inquired again & they stated it may be something that was put in the Dr notes and if it continues bring her back for x-rays. They did at least clip her nails for me. I've been taking her here the last 4-5 yrs for yearly vaccinations.

I am from Ohio and called this clinic on Saturday in Tennessee to inquire about the preventative measures they use in Tennessee to combat the tick population on dogs which we are now experiencing in Ohio. My current methods were not working. They took the time to talk with me and share what they use, knowing there was nothing to be gained from my becoming a client in their office. Disappointed in my experience here. We've been taking our dog Annie here for two years. Today we brought her in for a teeth cleaning, and they decided they needed to extract "a few" teeth. They tried calling me but they had my number wrong in the system (which seems weird to me since we've been coming there for 2 years and my number hasn't changed at all). When they couldn't get in contact with me, they decided to extract 13 TEETH from my dog's mouth without my permission. Aside from this, the person working at the desk hardly knew anything about the situation, and didn't even know simple questions like how many teeth a dog has in it's mouth when I asked. I know that they had our dog's best interests at heart, but I was very upset that we were not consulted in the decision to remove so many teeth. They did try to remedy the situation by offering me a partial refund, which I appreciated, but was overall disappointed in a place that I thought I trusted.

I've had Animal House take care of two of my dogs and I've always been treated with not only respect, but love and great care for my dogs. The staff is awesome. Dr. Heckel went over and beyond when my little Gus had Cushings. She worked with me to get the right treatment and even called other vets and drug manufacturers. Tell someone else that would have done that. Then, Gus got renal failure and I had to give him infusions. I cried and Gus did too. I've got to tell you I was so frustrated and rude to the staff. Dr. Herd went over and beyond to let me come in and she took me, my husband and Gus into their employee lounge and personally showed me how to do it...and wouldn't take any money for it. Recently my newly rescued baby couldn't walk and Dr. Herd personally came to my car (because of the Covid) and carried her in. Do I agree with the recent increases in prices? No, I shouldn't have to pay a office visit just to get my dogs shots. But, this Covid stuff has changed our norm. Is the office plush? No, it's a old building and they are working on it. I go to Animal House because of the doctors and staff are good at what they do...not to look at their building. Are the prices reasonable? I don't know. But, they do give us a veteran discount and I've recently read they give discounts for rescues. They also have some package deals. Check them out. I consider them family.
