They took my puppy there for an emergency and they provided excellent care. Doctor came out multiple times to speak with me about the situation and necessary treatment for my pup. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, I gave only 4 stars out of five because their waiting room wasn’t well kept and I didn’t have an opportunity to see the room where my puppy was kept for hours. I hope it was great and comfortable for him. All in I would recommend highly to come with your fuzzy babies. Place is reliable and excellent care.

As some have noted, you usually have to get put on hold for a bit when you call this clinic unless it is an emergency. Other than that, we had a great experience here. We had our dog checked out for a little bump on his head that we worried may be cancerous. The doctor examined it and determined that it was only a small cyst, draining it at no additional charge. An appointment was required, as well as a $75 nonrefundable deposit. They had us drop off our dog rather than go inside. The whole thing took only about an hour—no issues. Staff were very friendly and the doctor personally called to explain what was going on with our dog before we picked him up.

despite all vet being overbooked as of late washington dog and cat took my cat in and possibly saved his life. very efficient staff members very attentive overall would recommend they get straight to the point. I will be coming back in the future for my pets. and of course with any vet clinic just make sure you have a plan b with finances, as it is pricey but this clinic has reasonable pricing.

I took my German Shepard to get checked out and they were very nice! I asked how my doggy behaved and they said she did a great job! She didn't look scared and seemed to go in and out without any problems!

Great service and follow up. Due to Covid only by appointments and once you are there you call the place and they will confirm your appointment and take your dog. Later the veterinarian will call you and explain your dog's situation and discuss anything that needs to be done or recommend to you. After the call they will call you to pay and pick up your dog. I paid on the phone with my visa, but not sure if they take cash. After they confirmed my payment a lady came out with my dog and receipt to the parking lot.

Perfect Experience Was looking for a new dog hospital and found this one. Looks sketchy and cheap from the outside but once you enter the doors it’s so welcoming. The staff was so nice and caring. Explained everything so clearly. Took care of my chihuahua wonderfully.

Love it here very friendly staff and doctors so good with our family great doctors very professional we have 3 dogs 2 boxers and now a new member of our already growing family a 6 week old German shepherd pup whom we found starving and abandoned I’m so grateful because they scheduled an appointment for our baby immediately and got everything taken care of I trust my fury family in they’re very capable hands I recommend this place any chance I get . Came in with an emergency appointment in the early morning since no regular appointment available soon. Nothing super serious but still cost 200+ (was 500+). Waiting time is ~2hs but figured there were some delay with all the calls. Figured that most prescribed meds here are much more expensive here than online, especially ones with genetic. Make sure that you do your research before paying for the bills.

They do a good job but don't seem to care about their clients' time. It's very common to have an appointment for a particular time (for an appointment that should take 15-20 minutes)...and three hours later they have not looked at your pet at all. Also, when you call and they force you to take a "brief" hold you may as well hang up and call back because they will likely forget you are on hold.

This retired senior is so grateful for the support of the staff especially the doctor.,at first the fee was out of my budget and I was just going to get my kitten and go home, but they worked out a payment,and it was just what I could afford for I am not wealthy and being retired senior is literally living within my monthly budget, paying monthly bills and buying groceries and medical prescriptions, l have serious medical conditions. My kitten keeps me from giving up and keeps me moving.. She is so full of life I named her Smokie Potato.. Although I'd have liked to go inside with my pet, I was happy with the Doctor's thoroughly explanation of my cat's over all exam results/concerns. She suggested blood work and I was pleasantly surprised that I got the results within my visit, unlike other vet clinics, I'd had to wait 1-2 days for the results. She also provided an estimate for a future needed thyroid/dental extraction procedure.

Doctors and staff are professional, friendly, caring and very important to me, they are also compassionate towards pets. Their hours are very convenient, and one more thing they are following COVID-19 protocol as required by the state. Update: My fur baby continues to be seen here. She is now 16 years old. Her former vet was Dr.Barron who was so good to her. Since her departure, we were nervous of who would become her vet but, then we met Dr. Cassidy who is an absolute angel! She is the sweetest and most caring doctor. She is so knowledgeable and always tries to help you in any way that she can. We are so grateful to have her as our vet. We just started taking our 11 year old Miniature Pinscher here. Everyone has been wonderful to her. The place is clean and the staff and doctors are really friendly and caring.

I take all my pets here. They had my last pup for all 13 years of her life. Easy to schedule and vet is very polite and informative. The parking is just HORRIBLE and getting in and out amid COVID has been a bit of a pain since we all have to park and wait outside. Not anyone's fault, just an annoyance.

This was my first time here, and I was so happy with their service that I just had to write this review. This morning, I was looking around for any clinics that would be able to see me within the week, (I feared my dog had an ear infection) which is basically impossible with Covid. When I called, I was lucky enough to snag an appointment the same day I called due to an earlier cancellation for 3:30 pm. The staff, overall were very helpful and courteous. My dog was seen by Dr. Gabriele. She was straight to the point about the issue at hand, answered any questions or concerns we had. I also really appreciated her taking the time to work with me in regard to the hospital bill (financial issues), letting us know step by step what she planned to do. Her plan came out to be very reasonable, and it never felt like she tried to upsell us. Overall, I was very satisfied with how everything turned out and I definitely recommend this place!

Looking for a Vet is hard sometimes, and looking for a one that knows what they're doing and kind to your pets is even harder. I stumbled upon this place around 2006-2007, after I moved to South LA in 2003. I decided to give it a try, despite looking like it was a place no one went to (back then), mainly because of the littering and suspicious individuals that was present around that time on that street. Present day 2019, the streets are much more cleaner, and safer due to the school they built on Vermont. The location is easy to find and get to. The only downside is the parking space available. The people at this clinic are some of the nicest people you will find. Not only that, but they make sure to always keep the lobby and work area clean. I recently took my dogs to their routine rabies vaccination; the process was quick and easy, no fuss no muss. They do accept walk-ins during the weekdays, but you do need to be prepared to wait a little bit. They also have oral care and cremation services for your pets. I've been going here with all my past and current pets, for nearly 13 years. You won't regret it.

Easy Google directions. Main driving entrance is a narrow blue trimmed driveway for single vehicle passing. Parking availability limited. Immediately to the right inside parking entrance is door w/ signs posted. PLEASE read. Call phone # listed to inform them of your arrival. They ask that you & your pet stay in car, they will come to you. Please wear mask. Staff are friendly & wear covid appropriate equipment. The Vet & staff were helpful answering our questions. They were nice to our 4 month old female husky, she didn't seem upset or frightened by the staff, very friendly. I recommend Washington dog & cat hospital. 👍🏻

I have nothing but great things to say about the staff here, such a kind and dedicated team. I have been bringing my 14 y/o Himalayan here for almost two years and I honestly have no reason to look elsewhere. Dr. Wong is a superb doctor and extremely knowledgeable and REAL, she tells it like it is but also balances with compassion. The pricing is fair and they take Care Credit if you want to spread your payments out instead of paying it all at once which is nice. Overall, great place and you should rest comfortably knowing your fur babies are in good hands with the folks at Washington Dog & Cat Hospital! Update: Just got back from another visit on 07Dec2018. Dr. Wong instantly recognized my cat! At this point it almost feels like family when I go here. My cat is on a prescription diet so I often come back to pick up more food. Dr. Wong and her team have made me feel extremely comfortable knowing my pet is in good hands. Not to mention the other customers share a similar feeling whenever I am there. Keep up the great work!!!

They did save my dogs life but the whole experience could have been a lot better. We waited almost 7 hours, it gets super packed, don't know if it's because of it being labor day weekend. Also be prepared to shell out some serious money for your loved one. My bill was almost 700 dollars. My dog is back to being himself and that's all I cared about.

I have been taking my accounts to this pet hospital for more than 10 years now. The doctors change from years to years, but it feels nice and safe for me to go when my cats are having an issue. When my older cat started dying of renal failure they were very kind and loving to me and they took very good care of her in the end. I had her cremated with them and the way they delivered her ashes back to me was very delicate and nice.

My experience with Dr. Barron and her genuine care and respect for my cat has been nothing but impressive. The job a veterinarian cannot be easy having to share difficult news with pet owners about their loved ones, but she does with professionalism and genuine care for your pet. Bring your pets here. I adopted kittens 2 years ago and ran around la trying to find good trustworthy vets and I found them here. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Barron and Dr. Wong. They really cared about my cat when he had urinary issues. They spent a lot of time with me asking me lots of questions and explaining the options. I was impressed. They didn't want me to spend a lot on unnecessary tests and procedures but explained what was necessary and what can be ruled out. I've been to other vets around la and they seemed like a drive thru experience. The rest of the staff are great, friendly, and knowledgeable. The place was also the cleanest vet office I've ever been to. We've found our pet hospital and I wish them the best.

I have been coming here for about 11 years now and I have had nothing but exceptional service every time! I have rushed in my last two times and have been helped very quickly and had all my dogs needs met. Time is very important for me because I am always so tight on it and every time the staff here is able to get me in and out with everything I need. I had my senior cat who got in bad shape very quickly and took him to get checked. The staff was very professional with explaining everything about walk ins. Once I was there every single person was friendly, informative and supportive. Unfortunately my little one, rest his soul, had to be put to sleep which as we all know it's so difficult and heartbreaking. For me the way the staff reacted and handled everything made the process not easier for the heart but it was not as painful to go through the motions. My puppy displayed concerning symptoms this week; he appeared very lethargic, exhausted, and not eating. I decided to take him to Animal Urgent Care, located in Burbank; however, the facility failed to address my puppy's significant symptoms and provided little to no information. I was not satisfied with the care; therefore, I decided to deny further testing. I decided to take my puppy to Washington Dog and Cat Hospital (WDC). WDC has been fantastic! Despite this experience being overwhelming and stressful, Dr. Pacificii has done a tremendous job. She has not only been tending to my puppy's symptoms, but I am constantly receiving updates on my puppy's status. I appreciate that WDC takes the time to send me an estimated cost of the procedures before making an important decision. I also recognize how much information is provided regarding results and what they mean. WDC's most valuable quality is their communication skills, a skill many facilities lacks. If you have concerns for your puppy, I recommend this hospital because you will be notified "exactly" what is being provided to your puppy, especially during a pandemic where owners cannot enter the facility with their pet.

Wonderful, caring staff and a great place to trust with the care of your furry friends. All the doctors are very skilled and compassionate. They call you repeatedly after a procedure to follow up and make sure everything is progressing accordingly. Even if your specific vet is not available, another doctor will review your pets records and do everything they can to help you in person or over the phone. I have an 11 year old 100 lb dog who does not like vet visits and they are great at handling him and comforting him to alleviate any further stress. I highly recommend Washington Dog and Cat Hospital. We have lived many places around the country and been to many vets in southern california and this is certainly one of the very best. I think it is a low-cost place but you would never be able to tell by the top notch care and highly capable and competent staff. Thank you for always taking superb care of my best friend!!!

The staff and Dr. Lisa Barron are all great! They treat my fur baby with great care. They listen to your concerns and explain things with detail. They really care the animals. I recommend getting the nexguard chewables for fleas and ticks as well. My dog is picky but she likes these pills & no pesky fleas or ticks!

First of all. I have been to AT LEAST 10 different vets in the last 5 years. This hospital is excellent. Parking was great, I made an appointment and it was honored. Staff was friendly, and the vet tech was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very gentle and patient with my 9 year old cat. The doctor was very considerate, explained everything to me, and even anticipated my questions. Very thorough detail oriented practice that takes everything into account; she asked several times if I had additional questions or if there was something she could explain to me. Pricing was fair and the priority was the health of the animal, so rare in vet clinics these days! I was on my way with a couple of prescriptions and a written one that I could fill at CVS. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Very honest and straightforward practice that can accommodate lots of clients. bravo!

Dr Baron is very sweet and takes time to call you and spend time explaining things. she is very meticulous and patient and sweet with the animals. very knowledgeable and makes sure that she tries to exhaust every possibility. she's been taking care of my cat Pierre who has had a lot of issues and she did a surgery on my cat Bobby Joe, and I feel I was really well explained taking care of. I've gone to this veterinarian clinic four times and their service is great. They are attentive, knowledgeable and try to give you the best advice and care for your pet. I will say that if you dont have an appt. you will have a longer wait time and this is not a 24hr care center if your pet needs to be monitored arround the clock( ex. accident or surgery ) unfortunately the staff leave at arround 8pm and wont be in till the next day so keep that in mind. They do give you options and let you know in advance if your pet need to stay. They accept care credit ( great for pet bills) cash and other known credit cards(Visa, Mastercard etc.)

I have been visiting this veterinarian office for maybe 15 years. The vets are all very kind and professional. There is some turnover, so I have rarely seen the same vet on consecutive visits. This office shares staff with Rancho Park Hospital, however, and I have been able to see the same doctor by splitting my visits between the two offices. This particular vet, Dr. Marks, operated on my dog, and I have been very happy with his care.

Dr. White was caring and knowledgeable. I walked in and they were able to see me within minutes. They did my dog’s vaccines, and fecal sample. Everything was very professional and clean. I’ve never been to the vet. It was a great experience. I recommend them.

I've brought all of my pets here. And have seen all of the Doctors here. Dr. Wong and Dr. Choi are amazing doctors they've seen all of my pets Bucky and Bubba. I highly recommend bringing your pets here. Do not let negative reviews fool you. They're affordable and open during covid. Recommend calling before showing up. They do take walk-ins until they hit capacity.

To anyone looking for emergency services from this vet: they only take in 5 patients in the early morning and you have to go within 30 minutes of them opening or else you will be turned away. Also, you have to call in advanced to let them know you’ll be coming and come within those 30 minutes. If you’re there any later, you will not be attended.

Had to put my dog to sleep. Staff was very courteous and allowed me and my family to hold my rottweiler as he was being put down. My dog felt comfortable in his last moments. We held him. He became drowsy and he was gone. Very peaceful. Thank you for making my dog's last moments easier for all of us.

I took my sick elderly dog and felt contempt by the veterinarian and some staff....like I was a bad owner....I'm not it's just that my family is lower middle class.... there's unfortunately a limit to how much we're willing to spend on our dogs health....I'm very sorry Oso. My dog was also extremely nervous....I partially blame it on the bad vibes they gave off. The other part of it was our own nervousness about what the diagnosis would be.

Staff friendly great! Twice the same UNFORTUNATE incident with the same vet (white female doctor). First, treated my cat for the wrong sympthoms, I had to take back the and pay the consultation again. A few days ago, took a different cat and it was " treated" - by t he same doctor- and the cats has not gotten well. I called to negotiate to bring the cat back wothout habing to pay the consultation, but they refused. Too bad, and how upsetting! I called the credit card to dispute the entire charge...

This is the BEST vet I have ever gone to in my life. The people there practice medicine because they love animals - not because they are trying to get rich and build a mega hospital. There is no way you will ever find anyone better than the people that work at Washington Dog & Cat Hospital. If you live in the area and do not use them as your vet, your nuts. You will not find anyone better!

So far it has been a positive experience, but I can't give it 4 nor 5 stars yet. The front desk never told me that on Sundays they charge extra. Maybe people like me don't mind but when you don't mention an additional $12 and you try to justify it, rather than remedy your mistake, that's unprofessional. We'll see how the upcoming appointments go.

Doctor Angelina Wong took wonderful care of my puppy Bon Bon! She worked really well with my puppy and her examination was very thorough. We bring our pups in here quite often and I will say that I have always been pleased with the service we are given Everyone that works there seems to care about animals and are happy to help.. :) Really have no complaints at all, I am completely satisfied with them!!!! TIP: book an appt in advance if possible, they accept walk ins but of course you will have to wait longer

One of my boys, since a young puppy, was always susceptible to stomach issues which eventually culminated in a serious illness. Our new vet, Dr. Wong, was 100% amazing; thorough, caring and informative. The doctor also recommended probiotics as part of their daily post treatment regime and wow, what a difference it has to made to the health and well being of our beloved sons. This is definitely a hospital with a lot of traffic. We were only there for a regular check-up and it was REALLY busy. There were animals that had routine issues, while some were there for serious issues. Dr. Wong is great...although was a little off putting initially. Above all, I would go back for more serious concerns, but not routine visits.

It may not look like much from the outside, but this is a great place to bring your pet! Reasonable prices + very caring Dr.'s. Urgent walk-in's are treated well + seen promptly. I have never had to wait more than a few quick minutes. Vet gently gave my extremely sick doggie a thorough examination + asked me detailed questions about my pet's symptoms, appearance, behavior changes, appetite, etc. (Be as detailed as you can + include even minor things u have noticed.) Vet diagnosed it to be a raging tooth infection. My poor baby! Total Price: ONLY $100 !! Yes, that's right. Only $100 for Emergency Walk-In Exam + 2 medications?? Amazing. They saved my doggie AND my budget. However, I was advised to get dog's tooth extracted soon + that is not cheap anywhere. But now, at least I can plan for it. Arf! Arf! Main entrance in Rear. Parking in Rear. Or park at curb + push Front Door buzzer. Quiet waiting area is roomy enough to keep pets separated. Flea treatments, medications, nutritional products, dry + wet foods, training aids, harness + leash items, more!

I brought my dog Richie to his place a couple of times. Yes, it could be a bit pricey, but I visited another place near Expo Blvd and it old, rundown, and just plain dirty and looked unsanitary. Dr. Angelina Wong is the best ask for her when you take your pets.
