Very nice Vet clinic. Both of our dogs had their first visit this week. Staff was amazing, even with our nervous Beagle! Made both dog and owner comfortable. Highly recommend.

Several months ago, our dog injured himself while we were out on a walk. It was about 3:30pm. I could tell it was a serious injury, he was screaming and could put no weight on his leg, even slight a slight jostle while carrying him hurt. Plymouth Heights had no appointments--they were swamped. But they gave us pain medication to keep him comfortable overnight and he got an appointment the next morning. At that appointment, we found out he needed specialty surgery. This vet got him in to surgery the next week! They kept up with us throughout our pup's recovery, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. They were so patient with us when we were freaking out; they took care of our boy. Can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Zack has been phenomenal every single time we’ve been in. I can say that every experience with every vet and technician has been good or great. As a first time puppy owner I’ve been into Plymouth heights probably more than my fair share. Between puppy shots, upset belly’s and everything in between they always treat my lil guy like a king. They have a way of easing my worries and concerns with facts and and experience. Dr. Zack came highly recommended to us and now I’m going to extend that recommendation to anyone who is looking for a great, personal and kind vet. 10/10 stars.

We have been bringing our 2 cats here for about a year. We tried another vet in the area first, had a bad experience, and ended up at Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital. We have had consistently great service from all the staff here. They always are patient and go above and beyond to make sure that we understand everything regarding treatment options for any issues that need to be addressed. They are upfront with their pricing and are always happy to answer any questions we may have. We just had both cats in for their yearly checkup, and they were prescribed an oral medication to take once per day for a week. We called them twice for recommendations on how to make giving the meds easier for both us and the cats, and they were happy to provide assistance each time. We will definitely be back again in the future! Loki & Siete both give this place 2 paws up!

I had taken my cat here for 8 years. I never felt like any unnecessary tests or procedures were orders and prices were reasonable. Dr. Cameron was great, knowing my cats anxiety and nervousness going to the vet. She gave excellent care through her old age, and was gentle with her as she got older and more spicy at the office. I'm convinced it was the great care from the doctor and all of the vet assistants and technicians that enabled her to live as long as she did. Dr. Mulcahy was also very compassionate when I decided it was time to let my girl go at almost 21 years. I have referred people here and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Thank you for giving my cat excellent care!

All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. We adopted our pup from a rescue and I didn't know that our first exam, nail clipping and one of his meds were free! He loved every minute at the vet (even the shots) and was exhausted from all the attention. Would definitely recommend!

I was fine with this vet the first couple visits despite the steep pricing and suggestions to upsell for service always. I had a sick kitten for a few days last year and they made it difficult to run all around town to get the medicines I needed after many attempts of getting ahold of them. They weren’t able to see me for a couple days even with their emergency line (you just leave a voicemail). More recently I called and scheduled 2 shots for my 1 year old kitten. She gets so sad and cries/shakes in the car so it’s an ordeal to drive into the vet. I got there today and they told me they never put my appointment in the system when I called. So frustrating because my call was extensive going over what shots and if my other cat needed to come in and when. They asked the vets if they could fit me in and they said no. Super frustrated with this unprofessional experience. I plan my day and week around appointments and went through the stress of bringing my pet in for their scheduled service to be sent away and told to come back in 5 hours. I plan to switch vets. **UPDATE - the vet administrator called and personally apologized about sending us away without seeing us today. I appreciate them taking the time to follow up and try to make things right. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I just got a rescue a month ago.He got a scratch on his eye and I needed a vet, so I picked Plymouth Heights. I usual make the wrong decision. Thank the lord I picked this vet. She and the assistant were fantastic. They even called the next morning to see how Riley was doing. I snapped a few photos. Its clean, and reasonable priced. I took him for a recheck today and his eye is healed. I'm so grateful I picked them. They were busy and still got to us on time. The staff and doctors are great. They will definitely be Rileys vet. Thank you so much for the great care and kindness that you showed us.

I can’t say enough about this practice. I’ve been going to Plymouth Heights since moving to Plymouth in 2005. They have treated two of my Scottish Terrriers. Sometime around Christmas, my almost four year old Scottie Fiona ingested part of a cloth toy. We didn’t recognize she was sick until the following holiday weekend and after two nights in an ER with numerous tests, they did not have the staff to perform surgery to remove an obstruction. Desperate, I called Plymouth Heights first thing on a Monday morning and Ashley at the front desk recognized the urgency of the situation and quickly got in touch with Dr.Gale who said she could squeeze her surgery in. While Fiona is not out of the woods yet, I firmly believe we would have lost her if not for the willingness of the office to fit her in, and the skill of Dr.Gale and Dr.Zach (I forget your last name), during surgery. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Not even sure where to begin, but this place, and their staff, are the ABSOLUTE best. From the very kind, and loving, gals who do scheduling and answer phones/check ins, to the vet tech who cuddled her in her kennel after spay. Every single person we have had the pleasure to interact with here has been amazing. They deal with my all of my overly concerned dog dad questions and are always happy and kind in the process. LOVE this place and staff. 10/10

Their web site states they treat exotic animals but they don't treat budgies. Their website also states pet boarding and other pet boarding services but when I called and spoke with an employee (not mentioning her name for privacy) I was told they don't board either. She did recommend a pet boarding place in Minnetonka. If they don't offer some services than why does their website list the services? Their website needs to be updated re the boarding services. I am sure their pet hospital is good so I can't give them a 1 star. 3 stars due to the confusing non existing services they have listed on their website but do not actually have.

We would highly recommend PHPH. Dr. Owens is so great, we've brought several of our dogs over the years to her. The staff here is always friendly, helpful and caring. We are happy to drive out of our way to come here for our dogs' medical needs.

The staff at this pet hospital are absolutely amazing; reception, techs and Docs. They continuously go out of their way to accommodate my anxious American PitBull Terrier. Dr Zach listened to everything emphatically that I had to say about Nala Jo and ALL of my concerns. They have a Pittie patient for life. I promise you will not be disappointed with the care they give.

We *almost went to another vet until we got a recommendation for Plymouth Heights for working with our newly adopted adult shelter dog on his anxiety and potential reactivity. I let them know during booking that we may need some special care, and wow, my dog now thinks the vet is the most fun place in the world. They took the time to make sure the dog was comfortable and happy, and you could tell they truly enjoyed what they were doing. The office has been professional, on time, and responsive with follow up and general advice. Couldn't recommend this place more, especially if you have a dog dealing with anxiety and new to the whole vet thing.

We have had great experience with both cats and our dog at Plymouth Heights over many years. The Vets and support staff are all caring and helpful in every aspect of the visit and followup. We also use their Pet Suites for our dog and have always found the staff informative when there was a concern and enthusiastic about your pets visit. The facility is wonderful and is always clean. These vets have been wonderful and have worked with us through 4 cats who have had a myriad of issues. They are always kind and aren’t afraid to go the extra mile to help make a diagnosis and find a treatment plan. They genuinely care about their clients. It’s a bit of a drive for us to get there but we consider it well worth our time. So do the kitties.

Very friendly and caring staff from the front desk, to the vet tech, to the vet herself. I brought my little old Boston terrier there and they didn’t try to push any unnecessary procedures (he’s 14) but they did a thorough job. Very sweet and gentle. I also brought my 5 month old puppy to their sister vet (Rockford rd animal hospital) and had the same wonderful experience. Good prices and they don’t make you feel guilty about opting out of things that don’t fit your pets lifestyle. I definitely recommend them!!!

We love Plymouth Heights! Our experiences there have always been pleasant, comfortable, and accommodating to our dog’s needs. Most importantly, though, the doctors and staff are always incredibly knowledgeable and effective at conveying information. Their COVID-19 procedure is absolutely fantastic as well. The procedures made it quick and easy to safely get the service we needed, and our dog never seemed to be more distressed than a normal vet visit.

I go to Plymouth heights because I no my pup pals are in good hands. Appointments are easy to make and they always call to check on them the next day after an exam. Really great place. The vets and techs care and are genuine. Not there to rip you off. They've suggested ways to save me money on common medicine for my pet, and offered common sense advice for concerns and what not to worry about vs when to worry about it. Plus discount on multiple pet visit! Great for 2+ pet households! Had a very fearful rescue and they're so patient and willing to work with her. Giving her time to get to know the people and place, prioritize the visit to what's most important to put her ease.

The staff here are top-notch. The level of care they provided for my dog was above and beyond what I've been accustomed to. They treated an eye injury my dog had, and established ongoing care for a knee injury she has had for years. My dog is almost 9 now and has never been in better spirits, thanks to the care of these vets and their technicians!

We had received recommendations from two other families so made our appointment for our new puppy. Two days prior to her first visit, our puppy jumped off a ledge and broke her leg. So we showed up t oour first visit with a broken leg! The staff at Plymouth Heights were very nice and understanding. We went in weekly and they took great care of her! Even when she got her cast wet twice, they were still nice!

Through liver issues, 2 lymphomas and normal check ups - I’ve never felt so cared for as a mom and my dogs are treated do well. The care givers are gentle and so very kind. I can’t thank the staff and the doctors enough here at Plymouth heights. My boy Marley has been having disk problems. And just one round of laser treatments and getting him back on the right medication has helped tremendously. I’m so happy I found this place. Going to continue the treatments he needs with at this facility. They truly genuinely care about you and your pets care. I’m crying happy tears at the help they have given my boy and how he’s feeling so much better. Still a long road ahead but I know the doctors and staff will be here to help him every step of the way. I recently became a new puppy owner. I was quite satisfied with the information I received over the phone when contacting Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital for the first time. When I brought Mocha to get her first vaccinations and a health check, I was met by genuine smiles and a loving environment. The staff truly enjoy their roles as caretakers of your pet. The doctor sat with us and discussed health issues, training techniques and tips. In all I received more attention from our new pet’s doctor than I get from my own physician. The service is outstanding, the attention genuine and the love is apparent. If you were considering a new or first time pet health clinic, look no further than Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital.

I chose Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital because it was near to me and also they offer a free first time examination. My cat Minnie and I met with Dr. Cameron and couldn't have been more pleased. She and her staff really know how to make cats feel comfortable with a stressful situation as in going to the Vet. Even though their office is close to me, after this experience I would drive across town to go back for care. They are wonderful and I can't speak highly enough of the staff and doctor.

I have been taking all three of my dogs to Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital for almost two years, since I moved here from New Mexico. I chose them because of other reviews and because of the alternative treatments that they have available. I have seen each of the vets, and each one is superb. They are knowledgeable, caring and listen (to me and my dogs - we are equally vocal). The support staff are also top-notch, from the front desk to the technicians. If you want to make sure your pets are getting the best possible care, these vets may be your best bet.

They don't rush you, answer even the silliest of questions, and take the best care from a routine visit to an emergency. The day care staff have been wonderful. Great experience. We normally go to Banfield but they are never able to fit us in for acute issues. Called Plymouth Heights and they were able to squeeze our pup in for his skin infection issues. Never been here before and they were more accommodating than the vet we have been going to for over 8 years. Thinking about switching all of our vet care here. Very nice team.

We have had nothing but good experiences at Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital. Our golden doodle Scout sees Dr. Deb Cameron, and she actually loves going to the vet! Dr. Cameron is knowledgeable, friendly and gentle with our pup, and has good communication skills. We are first time dog owners and have appreciated the way Dr. Cameron always takes plenty of time to answer questions and present various options. She never puts pressure on if there are decisions to be made. The vet techs and front desk staff are also wonderful. Once when our dog was very sick and Dr. Cameron was out we saw Dr. Krych and I was completely comfortable with him taking care of our dog as well. Highly recommend.

I needed a new vet because of a bad experience with a former one. I was referred to Plymouth Heights Animal Hospital and I couldn't be happier. My dog needed 2 surgeries within a 10 day period. They brought in a board certified orthopedist who took very good care of her. The aftercare through the vets and their staff at the clinic was top notch. They are knowledgeable and compassionate and helped both me and my dog through a very difficult time. Recently, I brought my dog in to have one of the pins removed from behind her knee. After examining her, the doctor recommended that we delay the procedure...possibly indefinitely as my dog is doing very well. No need to put her through another surgery unnecessarily. I trust their judgment and know that they will always put the needs of my dog first. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was very happy with the care my cat received at Plymouth Heights. The staff there were all sweet and attentive, and always gave a lot of information about my cat's particular health needs as well as treatment recommendations to expect as she gets into her old age. The treatment kept me coming back even as I moved farther away. Admittedly, it ultimately took another move and a busier schedule to change to another vet closer to home, but I'm grateful for the experience I had at Plymouth Heights.

These are the people, and this is the place, you want to care for your family. I’ll try to keep this brief but explaining the value they provide goes beyond words. We’ve had vets in numerous places in Minnesota, any side of the cities, north south east west... their advice and guidance always left us questioning, their solutions never seemed to solve the issues at hand. They weren’t bad but they didn’t make the mark. Plymouth heights is a godsend in contrast to that. From the very first visit they identified and solved the issues with incredible accuracy, detail, and care. Their passion for our babies (pets) rivals our own. For context, we have a 13 year old, allergenic, rat terrier named Kirby. He’s been to many many vets throughout his life. Only at Plymouth heights did they note the actual problems at hand. They gave us advice, medicine, and referrals (to blue pearl amongst others) where they conducted a surgery recently. For a bit more context some of the issues he had had been there since his birth - and no one had noticed until we brought him here. Long story short - I’d prefer to go to Plymouth heights for my own human healthcare if they’d offer it. I’ll trust every word they give us. And I thank them from the bottom of my heart. They made my little buddy Kirby happier, healthier, and frankly saved his life by likely extending it years. This is more a thank you than a review. I cannot possibly put into words the happiness you’ve brought our family.

When I got there they let me go right back to a room with the cat so she wouldn't feel stressed in the waiting room with the other animals. I was so worried about stressing my cat and that she would behave badly with the doctor. Dr. Cameron and the technician took their time with her and she behaved just fine. Dr. Cameron was also quick to let me know the results of the blood work done and was available to discuss it when I called in. Overall a great experience with minimal stress for both me and my cat. We will continue to come back for all of our pet care and would recommend them to anyone!

Early in March, when veterinarian clinics were moving to curb-side pickup, we adopted our 9 pound terrier mix. When I brought her to the clinic, she was terrified of everyone in gowns and masks. For the past 3 years we’ve brought our pup, Axel, here for everything, and every single time (until recently) we left more then happy and never worried if he needed to stay with them for any reason. The only reason for any unhappiness is simply because our boy picked up Blastomycosis on one of our many outdoor adventures this spring, and sadly did not pull through. I’m writing to let others know, that even though our story had a terrible ending, the staff at PHPH were wonderfully comforting and caring from the beginning of his sickness up until his last day, and even in the days following. This place is awesome! I had tried to get my elderly cat to her original vet when she was acting very oddly. They were full so they suggested I go to Plymouth Heights. I called it was easy to set an appointment, the nice lady on the phone even consoled me when I started crying (the cat had us that scared). As soon as I got there they treated Foofy (my cat) like she'd been their patient since she was a kitten. The vet and vet tech were wonderful with her. Soft touches and even talking to her. Walked me through what they FELT was needed (3 small tests) and what they could do (in example an xray) if I felt I needed to. The vet himself even suggested against the xray since he was pretty confident on the diagnosis. All said and done, the cost was less than I was charged at her previous vet for just a routine visit! We now know what is going on with our kitty and will be taking her back to Plymouth Heights for the rest of her life. I'll probably also be bringing any future pets there as well! They are absolutely wonderful!

I have a pet rabbit who I've had to bring in 2 different times for various issues & both times, I left with the sense that this staff truly cares about the people & animals that come through their door. Both times, Dr. Mulcahy really went above & beyond - the first time, she not only answered the many questions I had, but went so far as to go print out about 13 pages of information to give me. The second time, she personally called me the day after my appointment to check up on the status of my bunny. ALSO, I got stuck in some crazy weather on my way to my 5:30 appointment, causing me to arrive at 5:45. I apologized profusely, as I know that they close at 6pm, but everyone was so understanding, despite having to stay after hours in order to get my bun all fixed up. They not only have professional, knowledgeable & caring doctors, but their customer service is exceptional as well. Despite it being a 40-minute commute for me, I don't plan on taking my pets anywhere else!!
