Reviews of Como Park Animal Hospital and AfterHours Veterinary Care
Mady Garner
I am beyond amazed by this clinic! Early Saturday morning my dog cash began vomiting over and over. It got to the point where we had to bring him in. We ended up going here because of cost for the initial exam fee being much lower than those around the area. We got there and was told to expect a 4-6 hour wait (which was reasonable for their doctor having to go into a surgery) they however ended up getting us much earlier. We were recommended to keep my pup there overnight to help him pass what was in his stomach and unfortunately he had to go into surgery. But the staff there were very thorough with explaining the process and keeping us updated on how he was. Not only did they do that but they were so open about us giving them a call whenever we needed to check in on him. I can’t be more pleased with how this team preforms and operates. They never once made me feel stupid or shamed me for what was going on. I want to give a special thanks to the tech that worked with cash a lot and discharged him yesterday evening. I believe her name was Laura. She was so thorough and cared for our boy so much! Thank you to all the staff that worked hands on with cash and to the doctors that made him better. Much love to everyone over there!!!

I cannot praise them enough. We went in late at night with a sick rabbit, and were seen promptly. We were filled in very thoroughly on his condition, the treatment plan, and felt confident leaving him in their care overnight. We came home with a convalescent rabbit, knowledge of what we needed to do to care for him and appropriate equipment, and a reasonable bill for the care provided. We knew he would be in good hands there, and we thank the doctors and vet techs at Como Park!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking vet help with their animals end of life needs. A couple weeks ago I ended up taking my incredibly sick hamster, Syrup, during their after hours emergency vet service. Even when they seemed incredibly booked they took the time to examine her. They were upfront on the initial cost and wait time while being extremely compassionate. Ultimately once she was examined I was told there was nothing more that could be done without invoking needless pain on her. (She had blood coming from her mouth and apparently had blood in her urine when they had her at the incubator among other things.) They allowed me time to say my goodbyes, offered a couple options as far as cremation services go and even offered to take the payment in the room I had been waiting in. I can't express enough how compassionate and understanding they were throughout the whole ordeal and am extremely grateful to them during that hard time. Based on that experience alone I would 100% recommend them and hope to make them my main vet for my next furry friend.
P.S. Fast forward to a couple weeks and I was surprised and heart-warmed to receive a letter from them with notes expressing their condolences for my loss. It was something that they did not have to do but something I greatly appreciated.

They have the most amazing staff and skills. Our guinea pig had surgery to remove a mass here, about 13 stitches on her back right side, and we're so thankful for the team at Como. Carmel was treated so kindly by the team, and she is now doing great and fully healed now!! THANK YOU!! We highly recommend them. We just scheduled a general wellness check for our other piggy now. :)

We recently had to visit this hospital hospital after hours for a dog bite incident and our experience was the best it could possibly be. We were told a fairly long wait expectation but it turned out to be much shorter. I would recommend calling ahead if you have to go. We got to wait in a private room with a couch so it was very calm. Everything was very nice and clean. Every person we talked to was extremely nice and helpful! Hope I never need an animal hospital again but if I do I will definitely go back here.

So, a few years back a neighbor died and left her cats for the community to care for. I tried over the years to rehome them. When she was alive they spent their days outside and they would go inside at night. They received medical care if needed and were very loved. When attempting to re home them, they got really really upset and it was doing more harm than good. So we built them a really nice heated house, always had fresh water, food And love whenever they wanted. We tried really hard to make their lives as normal as possible for them. I believe they missed their mom but were for the most part happy. lucky ( the boy) died over the winter * they are 10+ yrs old* and we buried him by the window of his old home where his moms bedroom was. And Princess passed away at Como last week. We went into the after hour emergency clinic. We first went in around 6pm. And was told immediately that there was a 6-7 hour wait. We stayed around for a while, ordered some Chipotle to the parking lot and just waited. Around midnight the wait was still pushing 4 hours so we left.
I returned at around 330 because her condition had worsened and was in to see them with an hour. Princess was really sick. Really really sick. So the best decision was to have her cross that bridge and reunite with her family in heaven. She was a great girl. Her brother lucky was like no other cat I'd ever met.
The girls at como were purrrrfect. Kind, respectful and under the circumstances a pleasure to deal with.
They are new at this 24 hour's clinic thing so I'm not worried about the hiccups, I'm sure it will all work itself out. The new facility is really fancy. I am grateful ! Very grateful! If I would have taken her to AERC, I would have easily paid over $1000. Easy could have even gone up to $2000. With CPAH, I was under$1000. With the world the way that it is nowadays I thought that was spectacular. Sad, price has to be figured in when treating our animals. But again, I am very grateful and will always be a friend to CPAH! These are pictures of Princess at home and then waiting in the car! And then the sunrise that took her to heaven!

I took my rabbit to Como Park having never been there but being desperate for someone to save my little man. Like I suspected, he had developed GI stasis and had about a 50:50 chance of survival even with treatment. Once diagnosed, they provided me with the option to either hospitalize my bunny for a few thousand dollars or do at-home care for a few hundred. They were very understanding about my finances and did everything they could to comfort and care for my little boy. With the help of their care, my bunny survived and is healing well. I can’t thank them enough for saving my perfect little loaf of bread.

My 18 year old chihuahua passed away in the morning on 4th of July. CPAH was not only open on the holiday, but they took us back to a room as soon as we got there and were patient and understanding while I was blubbering. I was a total mess and don't remember the tech's name, but they were beyond sweet. They gave us all our options for cremation. They gave us a clay circle with her name and tiny paw prints pressed into it for me to take home. If that wasn't enough, today I got a letter in the mail: a condolence card from the animal hospital signed by not one, not two, but 10 of their staff. Needless to say I was instantly a blubbering mess once again.
Como Park Animal Hospital made an incredibly sad and hard thing as easy and comfortable as they possibly could. I will 100% be back and I hope the next time I go in it's under better circumstances.
Attached are pictures of the clay press, the card, and my sweet little old lady because why not.

This was my first time here with my girlfriend's anxious/reactive German Shepherd dog & we were coming in to discuss options for anxiety medicine prior to vet visits for vaccines. The one lady at the front desk cleared one side of the waiting room for us so we could enter in and go right to the room and because we also ended up having to wait awhile in the room, she escorted us to the back when our dog had to use the bathroom outside so we wouldn't have to go back to the front.
The vet tech was really nice too and so was the vet - both gave our dog the space she requires for first time meetings and we were given the required information about medication; as well as, training options, future appointments, etc.
While they may be a bit more expensive - the appointment flexibility is why my girlfriend takes her here so that she can have a calmer environment.
Alexandra Armstrong
Long wait or no openings.
We waited about 6 hours, turned out to be okay but got something to calm her down. Communication / explanations could be better. Overall wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after that wait time, but it was very difficult for a sick pup to wait out in the car. And burned up a lot of gas.
Molly Carlsten
I don’t usually write reviews, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to say how grateful, thankful and appreciative I am for this place and all the kind techs, vets who took care of my Baby boy Migo, my dogs were in a fight and Migo was injured pretty bad, we were sent to this place from another clinic that couldn’t take him. I can’t thank you guys enough. My Migo is my baby although he is sweet to humans, to other 4 legged creatures he’s not the greatest with and my anxiety and worries for him going into a vet clinic we’re through the roof. They handled my baby boy so well and treated him with such great care. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Thank you guys, you truly are amazing and the love you have for animals shows.
Thank you.

They graciously let us come in for an Urgent Care appointment that unfortunately turned into End of Life Care. As one who works in the VetMed world and understands just how hard scheduling urgent care can be (especially on a Saturday afternoon/evening) we are so appreciative. We were informed it could be a 3-4 hour wait. However, the team was able to triage our Ball Python in a fast and efficient manner. The entire staff was VERY kind and compassionate. We were very impressed by the level of care. Thank you for helping Queen pass painlessly. I was VERY impressed with the options for aftercare as well. Thank you again.

I am more than impressed with our experience here. We rescue reptiles, mostly snakes, and have an 8ft boa, Babs, that needed care. I was so nervous to take her anywhere because of the specificity of her species and the fact that most vets cater to cats and dogs. We saw Dr. Casey and he was very knowledgeable about her species, husbandry, care, and possible illnesses. He and the tech, Katie S., handled her without fear and gave us a lot of advice. Katie even taught us how to hold her while administering the antibiotics intravenously, something I was very nervous about. Babs got the best care and I will absolutely be coming back here. I was also very impressed with the price of her antibiotics and that they didn't try to sell us on unnecessary procedures or tests. They tried to be as minimally invasive as possible and treated her as the big sweetheart that she is, not a big dangerous snake. Would rate more than 5 stars if I could! Thanks, everyone! Especially Katie and Dr. Casey!

The only place in MN I found that treat pocket animals like my hamster. The staffs were so friendly and helpful, they see your pet right away and did not make my hamster wait if it’s an emergency. The expected wait hours were much longer than the actual waiting time and they provides drinks while you wait. The facility is so clean and I appreciate the staffs for helping and taking care of my hamster like any other pets and doesn’t see a small animal like him as less important than other common furry friends.

I highly, highly recommend this pet hospital. We took our cat here for his euthanasia and every single person working was kind and empathetic and helpful from the initial phone call I made until the second we walked out the door. I really need to highlight how amazing the doctor was, my little sister said he felt like a dad or a really good uncle sitting in the room with us. He talked about his pets and his experience with losing pets, and he asked about the ribbon my sister tied around the cats paw (she had a matching one on her wrist) and said he would make sure our cat Yoda was wearing it for every step of the process until the very end. I was crying about losing a childhood pet, but I was also crying at the amount of care everyone involved put into our cat’s end of life care. Please take your pet here, they’re amazing and they deserve the business. It’s clear they genuinely care about animals and the people who come in with them. If I could give them a million stars I would.

This has to be the best Animal Hospital / Veterinary facility I've ever been to. I've taken bunny there and they've always given her the care she needed until the very end. The staff are wonderful and the facility is very nice. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone with a pet. It is definitely a little more costly than other facilities, but it is more than worth it with the care they put in.
Veronica Roberts
Went there for an ER visit. Every other place we had checked with were at capacity for the night. Como was able to see us. We were told the wait could be 2-4 hours. It ended up being just under 2 hours so that was great. Everyone was very friendly. The new clinic is very nice and have several areas to wait with a complimentary coffee bar. The Dr was great and didnt try to push for unnecessary costs. Overall very happy with our visit! They also see exotic animals wich is great cause not many do.

We recently had a dire emergency at 1:40 am on a Sunday morning with our daughter’s 16+yo Chihuahua who we were dog sitting. Her dog had a grand mal seizure that lasted over 90 minutes. There were literally NO ER Veterinary clinics that were open or could see her (including the UM, which just disconnected my call) until I called Como Park. In spite of the 40 minute drive, we still took her there, where the kind woman at the desk unlocked the doors to let us in. We had to wait for another emergency to be taken care of but the brand new facility was clean, comfortable and had coffee available. The very sympathetic vet told us that the prospects were dim because it was likely a brain tumor, but she still offered us choices to tide our grand dog over while we attempted to reach our daughter by phone. We just couldn’t put another person’s pet down! Several hours later, we headed home with a critically sick dog, but our daughter and family headed back to our house from WI, where they sadly realized how sick their pet was. My son-in-law called Como Park AH back and their family of four ended up driving back to the clinic and euthanized their little Chi. Como Park AH made a clay paw print for them, and her ashes were available in a week’s time. A lovely sympathy card was sent. I think they were over the top in their care and consideration under the emergency circumstances. Thank you all for being there in our time of need. You all are a godsend.

While getting the kids ready for school I found that our 5 month old chinchilla got his foot stuck between the metal bars of a platform, fell over the side and snapped his leg in half. Just dangling there, it was horrifying. I'm a vet tech, so I knew this was not repairable. I wasn't sure if chinchillas could function as a tripod but found online that this is not an uncommon problem for them. It's hard to find doctors who will see exotics, much less operate on them, but I called Como Park and they were willing to take him on. They let me know it was a 2-4 hour wait to see the doctor, but they took him in back immediately to give pain meds which was relieving. I got an estimate, and the plan was to amputate his entire leg. They told me his surgery would be done over night, and the doctor called at midnight to update me and let me know he got through it just fine. She called again at 7am and I picked him up later that evening. I hate when doctors under medicate after a surgery, but they sent him home on two different pain meds in addition to antibiotics. Our little guy is doing great thanks to their staff. As a vet tech I feel qualified to be extra critical and judgemental - but I left here feeling very impressed and grateful. The hospital was immaculate and the staff was very nice and professional with everyone who came in. In the waiting room I listened to one lady talking with a caller who was obviously angry, and she was very calm and professional in dealing the person. People calling are already upset so I'm sure they get yelled at a lot, and I really liked how the staff member handled it. I will not hesitate to recommend Como Park when people call looking for a clinic that sees exotics.

it did take a very long time to get my animal seen, yet i went after hours since it was an emergency. they took care of her and she’d gotten better almost immediately. very very nice place and kind people

I brought my dog in for emergency care, and made the difficult decision to let him go. Everyonecwss so nice and helpful, except the guy behind the counter. He was rude and quite unhelpful. We walked in with our pet, clearly didn't have a free arm to open the door, and he up and leaves the dexk, another customer helped with the door. He handed me the paperwork, told me to disregard the visit fee, and walked away. Not a very compassionate experience with him.
Jonathan Valentine
We called in advance, and were told ahead that we would have a wait. After a couple minutes, vitals were taken; at an hour they attempted to pull urine; then nothing for a few hours after that. They are a busy place, and take a lot of care with their patients. Worth the time.
Serenity Evans
Had a really scary experience with our cat getting sick at 3am, they took very good care of her and were very transparent with everything going on, staff was amazing despite having a rough night. Everything cost less than what we had been planning on spending for emergency visit for respitory infection.
Jessie Manning
Very knowledgeable as an avian vet and so kind. They legitimately care about your critters. The price was reasonable. The wait is long.
Jennifer Bardzel
My cat was sick, but not critical, and I decided to come here. I am so very glad I did. The techs were courteous and upfront about the wait times for urgent care, which I understand, as all vet offices in the twin cities are slammed right now. The veterinarian was obviously knowledgeable and gave me good care options without unnecessary costs. I was kept informed of her condition, tests, options, etc., every step of the way. The total bill was very reasonable. The tech took the time to go over the discharge instructions with me and answered my questions. I felt good bringing my cat home and know where I'll be going again for my urgent vet care needs. Thank you!

I brought my rabbit there as it was the closest emergency vet that could handle exotic animals (made for a harrowing 30 minute drive.) Keep in mind this review is during Covid so systems were topsy-turvy just about everywhere. We had to stay in the car for safety purposes, but after not hearing from anyone for 2 hours after bringing him in we decided to call (thus deducting one star.)They said the doctor wasn't able to see him yet (which we completely understand) but assured us that our bunny's vitals were good and he wasn't being ignored. We were then told it would be another couple of hours before the doc could examine him. Mind you, it's winter and it's cold out...and running your car for 4 hours is not such a grand idea. We weren't allowed to leave (and also couldn't use the bathroom inside the clinic.) That was a LONG 4 hours 🤪 They did say we could run up to the gas station, but they wouldn't let us use the bathroom either!
The staff was very friendly and explained everything very well. We were sent home with the meds needed for G.I. stasis and the cost was very, very fair. I have to say shame on me for not knowing that not all emergency vet clinics take rabbits! Thank you for being there for us!

It is a great hospital. It was my dogs 1st time going there. The staff is so nice and made sure my dogs needs were met. They were very patient with me making sure they explained procedures and medications with me and making sure all my questions were answered. I had to find a vet at 130am and they were the only place that was open and when I called them I was very scared because my dog was in alot of pain and not knowing how she got hurt so when I called Como Park Hospital I was looking for a place that offered free or reduced cost clinic only because I didnt get paid for 3 more days and vet Bill's can be super pricey and I didnt have the money right then to pay so they had some resources that got me the funding to pay her vet bill and now I can make monthly payments until her bill is paid off. I found a place that's understanding of peoples situations and will go above and beyond for there patients and their owners. I will definetly be bringing my dog Dukes back for all her medical needs!!!!
Brandon Bartel
Excellent and friendly staff.
I brought my dog here for emergency care. They had no openings available but were able to accommodate us despite the fact that they were very busy.
If you have a pet that needs emergency care, I highly recommend this place.
Unfortunately they weren't able to help my pet, but it wasn't from a lack of trying.
Me and Jackson will be forever grateful of the care we received when none of the other places we visited would help.
I would like to give a special thanks to Audrey Pereira, DVM - As well as any staff members who provided us assistance on a very painful day.
Patty Born
We needed emergency surgery for our dog. I Was very nervous, because we had never been there before. They were very reassuring about what they could do for him.. And kept me informed though out his surgery and recover. And gave him lots of love. Thank you Como pet hospital!! You are all amazing!!!
Terry Blain
Our two dogs received wonderful care over a number of years from Dr. Sweeney at the Como surgery. He was endlessly patient and empathetic, and the dogs adored him. When we moved abroad Dr. Sweeney was meticulous in ensuring the vaccinations and paperwork were right. We couldn't be more happy with the service he provided. Thank you!
Justin G
The emergency vet was very helpful and caring and honest with the care of my puppy I would recommend them compared to other vet emergency and prices are reasonable also.
Pamela Watkins
They took very good care of my little girl Gidget. Gave me updates on how she was doing. They are very caring, made sure I knew what to do when she came home. The post surgical instructions were very clear, she's getting better faste then I thought she would. She takes her meds in the can of Hill's k9 d low fat (she loves it!!) Very friendly and helpful staff. She had a pyometra/spay I was a nervous wreck. The you soo much for saving my little girl Gidget
Donna Ryan (D)
Very helpful personnel but super hard to get a appt sooner than 3 weeks for wellness care.
Kate Libra
Even though I didn't bring my dog to them regularly, when I needed euthanasia for my dying pet, they got me right in and treated us with kindness at this difficult time. Even made a paw print of my sweet Gordo as a memory.
Crystal King
Just went to get dog licenses and they turn on a candle when a pet is being put to sleep. They are all friendly. Had to wait a but for the licenses but overall was a good experience. I would like to start bringing my pets here.
Angelique Bray Johnson
I have been to this vet for urgent care with my chickens. They are absolutely amazing, caring and knowledge as well as empathetic. I will only bring my chickens to this vet and Dr. Casey is phenomenal!
Robin Bloedow
My princess kitty had to be put down last night. They were so helpful and kind. They got us in right away and helped us help her cross the rainbow bridge.
Jillian Lemery
We brought Eddie, a guinea pig, in to be seen by Dr. Jennrich. The good doctor diagnosed a urinary obstruction that Eddie's regular vet had missed two days prior. He was kind and thorough in explaining the options. We had to make the hard decision that Eddie would be put to sleep as he was in too much pain. Dr. Jennrich and the gals up front were kind and sensitive about this. Even though we left minus one family member, I can not recommend Como Park Animal Hospital enough.

We had to bring my dog in due to a bowel obstruction. She’s eaten things before, but usually can puke or poop it out. This time, she’d become dehydrated and really just wasn’t acting the way she has in the past when eating random objects (not a common occurrence, but has happened maybe once/year). We called and they told us the approximate wait, took our information and provided other places to call in an attempt to find a shorter wait. We ended up choosing them based on various websites that said they were on the less expensive end of emergency veterinary care. The wait was exactly what we were told it’d be. My dad brought her in and said the customer service was great. She was kept overnight and the decision was made to have the surgery. Sure, it’s expensive, but that’s expected. They were very clear in explanations provided on why they chose the care they did and the aftercare instructions answered any questions we may have had, they even included a compliment. While I hope we never see them again (we already have a regular vet office closer to home), if we do need emergency vet care, we will choose them again!

We had to say good-bye to our loyal friend and companion of 13 years. This place was wonderful. They care about providing good care to pets, and the families. For such a hard time in our lives, this place made it so much easier. The staff was the best I've ever had to deal with in any line of work. They made this process so much more bearable at an unbearable time. Dignity. Care. Compassion. When it's time to say good-bye, this is THE place to go to help your family friend continue their journey.

I recently had to bring my hamster in to be looked at and was informed that unfortunately nothing could be done at the time and he passed away later that day. In challenging times like that, it feels great to encounter incredibly empathetic, caring, and supportive staff like the team at this hospital. They were kind enough to send me a note shortly after his passing and it made my partner and I tear up. Despite that being such a heartbreaking experience, I have nothing but amazing things to say about the service and support we received. Thank you!

My first experience with this vet and it was great! They were able to get me in last minute and treated me with compassion. I got seated to a private room to be with my rat before letting him go. They made it very comfortable and I got this clay print which I absolutely love!! Highly recommend!
Katie Bowen
Five star service! Although a small 24 hr urgent care facility, they were the ONLY pet emergency room that welcomed me right away and took immediate care of my dog who was vomiting and suffering from an intestinal obstruction. Every other clinic told me "no, sorry, move on, we can't help you, we are too busy." I appreciated the quick assessment and evaluation and the several proposals of how we could move forward. Costs were given in a range-best case versus worst case scenario which I appreciated. My dog did end up having surgery and quickly recovered and I felt well equipped when it was time to care for her at home (about 36 hours after surgery). They always picked up the phone for questions and I feel confident of every aspect of the care they provided my dog during her illness. I would highly recommend this clinic for whatever your needs for you pet may be.

I am so thankful!! I came in on Christmas Eve with a lethargic kitty who had no appetite for 2 days before this. This morning, he is playful and eating again! Thank you so much! My boy being himself again is the best Christmas present I could have asked for.

Had a terrifying encounter with a large man approaching me at night and yelling "So beautiful!" while I was bringing my cat in for an emergency visit. Luckily the ladies at the animal hospital let me in and called the police for me and made sure I was okay and safe. They made sure I was okay and at the end of my visit they walked me out to my car. They also took great care of my cat, and were extremely knowledgeable about what was wrong with him. They gave me all the information I needed to keep him healthy after his visit, and gave me a few price options with different treatments. I'm so thankful for this emergency vet for so many reasons.

What a great group of staff, I went in as an urgent care case... my beardie hadn't pooped in a couple weeks and wasn't eating. About 30min after being there (they had taken him back to the incubator). They came out to let me know he'd pooped a lot and if I wanted to take him home to monitor there would be no charge. I continued with the appt, since we were there but I thought it was a great offer.

First time at Como Park Animal Hospital and had a great experience. This was our first visit with our year old Iguana. Everyone was helpful. Stella,(now Stanley since we found out she's a he) was in good hands.

Last week my German Shepherd ingested some mold. I called to see if I needed to bring her in, and they asked a few questions, gave me instructions on how to care for her at home, and what to look for if she needed to be seen. My dog was fine because of their advice, and it really saved me a lot of time and money. I'm so relived my baby is okay and didn't need to go in to be seen, but if she does ever need emergency care I'll be bringing her here! Thank you so much ❤️

They gave the best care they could to my parrot and were honest and caring when it was time to say goodbye.

All the staff was so kind, caring and knowledgeable. Dr.Todd was honest with us and spent time thoroughly explaining everything so we could understand what was going on. We ended up having to send our cat to Heaven, yet they made the experience intimate, private and comfortable and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and supplied us with plenty of Kleenex and water. They kept her comfortable and pain free and she seemed at peace enjoying snuggling with us until the very end.
They are all so kind and I could let they truly cared for Mystique!
Thank you for all you do!!!

I really appreciate the level of care offered at this clinic! The staff seems a lot more transparent and straightforward compared to other places I’ve taken my pets. Almost all of the receptionists and techs who have helped me are welcoming and pleasant to talk with. Their team saved my cat’s life which I’m forever grateful for. It does get incredibly busy in there and sometimes it seems they are overwhelmed/understaffed, but excellent service nonetheless. My kitty says thank you!

I live in the st cloud area. My ball python had been going downhill quick. Brought him down here at 10 pm on a Friday. The vet had him in her office for 2 hours to observe him. I thought my little buddy was gonna die and they prescribed him antibiotics which I had to inject myself for the next month! I was in shock that I was gonna have to give my snake shots. She walked me all through it and made it so easy for me. They are heroes who work here. They not only care about the animal but when I was getting ready to head home (90 minute drive) they made me coffee to take with me. Thanks for saving Rori! He just shed his eye caps and ate a big ol rat!

My cat was attacked by a dog and I called around to about 30 places, I ended up speaking with an amazing front desk women named Yvonne, she told
Me about the price ( by far wayyy cheaper then any other by A LOT) she spoke to me about how to handle it and said call tomorrow morning at 8am and then be here by 9am. She was working in the back today and came forward to talk to me then realize she was the amazing person I was talking to on the phone. She was so nice and understanding. She calmed me down fromt he stress and talked me through everything. There was also another women who came by to see if I needed water, coffee or tea and she did that a few times during the 6hr wait period. We finally got to the back and the nurse who was with us was amazing also, so passionate and thorough and so honest about everything. The doctor was awesome and honest and answered every question I had. When it was time to go the nurse gave my cat her meds for me and then Yvonne checked us out. She came around and talked with my kids and joked with them and made this entire tragedy an AMAZING experience. I am so greatful for them here. There prices were okay and besides that the hospitality was beyond perfect. Thank you como park vet hospital for treating my cat like your family as well! We will deff be back in the future!!!!

The vet and techs were great and very attentive to our jumbo cat's needs. Nice place!!

I just want to say Thank You to the After-hours Veterinary Care Team, for the exceptional service you provided to me, and my family at a very heartbreaking moment in our lives! Losing our beloved dog Coco Marshmallow was one of the toughest times in my life! But the care, and empathy you showed was just priceless! Then to go to my mailbox today, and to see a card from you all expressing sympathy, and for ALL of you to sign it really blew me away! It brought tears to my eyes! It shows you really do take pride in what you do, and truly care! Thank You again!

We had an emergency on Christmas eve. The staff was great and they took great care with our dog!

I had to bring my rabbit to Como Park during emergency hours when he stopped eating. Every person working was so kind and helpful. It never felt rushed when I called for updates, and I could tell the veterinarians and staff were very knowledgeable. I’m glad that if I had to go to an emergency clinic, it was this one.
Abigail Helget
I was dealing with a bit of a nightmare with my regular vet first being unwilling to see my dog because it was an emergency (he was going through end of life dying stages) and then canceling an appointment literally an hour before I was supposed to be seen. I'd talked to a ton of vet ERs and hospitals that couldn't see him.
With that, Como was soooo helpful! They saw us right away, the staff were unbelievably kind and honest with me. Everything from walking in and having staff make sure we were in a comfortable spot and blanket to sit with, to the vet providing honest and thorough information about where my dog was in the dying process. And it was not very expensive at all for a visit to a vet hospital. I highly recommend them and they were a shining light in what was generally a pretty sad and overwhelming situation.

The staff at Como Park Animal Hospital are kind, caring, and knowledgeable about rabbits. I have always had a great experience in the past few years I have been bringing my rabbits here. I also love that they are open 24-7 for urgent care (it gives me peace of mind that if an emergency happens in the middle of the night I have someone I can call). Overall fantastic veterinary clinic!
Elizabeth
Thank you so much to the staff that helped us the night I had a emergency, this place was really good to my pet and I’m greatly thankful they were available in such a short notice. I definitely recommend this place for many reasons. Kind, considerably welcoming and quick. Place was clean and I was greeted right away.

The emergency veterinarian, Dr. Todd and the entire staff at Como Park were very kind and professional. I experienced an emergency with my hedgehog and took her here for an evaluation. I've been a veterinary technician for 20 years-my clinic doesn't see exotics-and I've been on both sides of the exam table. Owner/client and technician. I've given and received bad news. So I feel confident in recommending Como Park for anyone who experiences an urgent medical issue. The staff here all showed compassion and were consistently giving me updates about the wait, what was happening. Though the outcome wasn't what I wanted, I appreciate everything that they did for me and my baby that night.
Terri
I brought my beagle here when our regular vet wouldn't bother seeing her. The staff from reception to techs to Drs were awesome. All I had to say was my pup's name and everyone knew who she was and what was happening with her. The docs proposed aggressive treatment of her illness and when she took a turn for the worse and was headed downhill they were honest and clear about her chances of survival, both physically and from a quality of life standpoint. Ultimately, our dog passed away and everyone involved was very kind. They worked hard to help her and were so good to her as well as to us. An excellent hospital.

My little shih-poo was SO incredibly sick and had accidentally stepped on the grass to sniff a dead squirrel (much to my horror) and 20 minutes later started foaming at the mouth, and stretching her neck out repeatedly.
ue to the surge in animals these past 2 1/2 years with people like I who bought a covid companion?
It is really really hard to get into emergency room (and Banfield is normally where I go for non emergencies) but after calling 15 plus urgent care places who all told me I wouldn't be able to get my dog in for help?
All yep ALL of the clinics told me to go to the U of MN St.Paul campus "Como Park Hospital" that that was where THEY would go.
Side note?
Over 3/4 told me that was where their doctors all graduated from.
If you use the "WAZE" app like I always do for directions? It places you in front of the wrong street. It's 1 block over just 30 seconds away.
Otherwise you will be confused like I was when I drove up and saw HUGE cows getting out of...umm. (I don't speak cow language) umm the cow pulley thingy... and I thought to myself "how odd to have us all....in the same check in area". Then I look behind me and see a trailer that either houses a Clysdale or a.... cirus.
Then I saw a student that reminded me of James Harriot from, "all creatures great and small."
I asked him where the entrance was for a small dog and he smiled and asked me if I had used the Waze app since everyone would always end here where he was standing lol.
Anyway.
After getting little precious girl in the right place they were simply?
Ahh-mazing!!!!
5 hr wait but my girl was so fascinated by the screaming cats and I also saw 2 friends from when I used to live 25 plus years ago on the St.Paul side of the river and I was astonished that despite having 2 x-rays and an ultrasound plus meds my bill was just a freckle over $500. That was so cheap in comparison to the other places I have gone for 1/2 that kind of urgent exam.
UnaTunaLuna
Never been their to be seen for my pets, as they are always super busy. I am however l on a wait list for the future. Just by talking on the phone I can tell that their staff is super friendly. Other then that no issues besides the waiting and having to make appointments months out.
Stacie Zaffke
Excellent care here. I took my rat here for end of life care. Everyone was respectful and caring. They were able to get us in for a same day appointment, and the whole process was streamlined. The facilities were easy to find and very clean. They offered a complimentary clay plaque with his paw prints and even sent me a sympathy card after the fact. Many thanks to the wonderful staff.
Jennifer Sutton
Their emergency care vets and office staff are fantastic. Between the two days I brought my cat in I probably spoke to about 6 different people, all of whom were so kind and intelligent. They really made me feel cared for. Yes the wait was long, but we are in the midst of a global pandemic! They really are doing their best.

I had a great experience at Como Park urgent care. My 7 month old Siberian Husky pup had an allergic reaction that prompted vomiting and subsequent facial swelling. My regular vet clinic and AERC were full up and couldn't take us but I was able to bring my pup to Como urgent care.
The veterinary staff and doctor were very friendly, competent and caring. My pup received necessary and appropriate treatment and she is back to being her regular self.
Very grateful these kind individuals were able to help us in our time of crisis.
Alison Brooks
We took our 8 wk old puppy in to their urgent care this week because she was throwing up and lethargic. They were absolutely fantastic in reassuring us and providing the care Stella needed. We are so thankful they were available after hours. Lindsey and Dr. Todd were compassionate and informative during all of our conversations about testing and treatment. They called to check up on her a few days later and I am happy to say she is fully recovered and back to her spunky self!
Sophia Cloutier
Brought my 8 month old kitten Leo in tonight for throwing up blood and acting off and scared of me. They were absolutely amazing. They were honest about the wait time, they were extremely attentive and caring to him, I had to wait in my car because of covid but they kept him safe and warm in the building and updated me often. They were super reasonably priced and my kitty butt was feeling better by the time I got home. 10/10 will give them a million stars. For it being in the middle of the night, me being exhausted they were just truly amazing. Kept me calm and a lot of reassurance he was in good care. Also didn’t make me feel bad what so ever for calling to check in if I wanted to.
Josy Scully
Our kitty was in need of timely treatment and the team got us in quick! The whole team was kind and took such good care of her, did a great job at informing me of her treatment needs, and the bill was very reasonable. I will be bringing both my cats here from now on for care, I so appreciate everything they did for Jules!

My experience at Como Park Animal Hospital was one out of necessity and I'm so glad this ended up being the place I ended up. They treated my animal like their own were extremely nice to deal with. I would recommend them to anybody who has an animal in need.

You guys saved little my Fiver rabbit. I used the regimen at home you gave me around the clock and she seems to have made a full recovery. Adjusted her diet so hopefully she will be around a couple more years.

I’ve been here a couple times and most of my experiences were great but this most recent one is definitely not pleasant. So we have a sick duck probably egg bound. We have been chatting with people I know that have other ducks and have dealt with this but it got to the point that they recommended a vet because it’s that bad. We brought her here and they did a physical exam. They said she’s not egg bound because ducks are meant to lay eggs so it doesn’t happen often. They said she’s fine but she isn’t walking normal. And she is not herself but they said she is okay. Before the appointment she was passing blood in her stool but apparently when she was in the vet she was fine. Egg binding is very bad if not treated and can lead to a number of things sadly. This wasn’t the greatest experience but I’ve been here before with my reptiles and it’s a great place for most pets but for animals like ducks it’s not a great place to go. They tried but we didn’t get what we were trying to get. We still don’t know what’s up with her and she isn’t better. But I recommend for reptiles 100% they were so helpful for 2 of our lizards! But for our duck they weren’t much help. I will go here again for our reptiles but not for our pet ducks!❤️

They took excellent care of my bunny when we brought them in with G.I. stasis! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Needing an emergency vet late at night is always stressful but they made it as comfortable as possible.
Alicia Northenscold
Phenomenal care. Compassionate people. Knowledgeable with exotic pets.
The only downfall is the overnight pricing. I was told the overnight Emergency price would run me $800-1400 to have my bunny monitored throughout the night and if it passed in the night I would still need to pay. I decided to bring him home instead and give the meds there. He unfortunately passed a couple hours later. I was heartbroken and devastated, but happy I did not shell out the $$$ plus lose him.
Will be back here if ever needed.
Steve Anywaush
We came to Como Animal Hospital because my beloved dog, Spike, was suffering and it was time for us to say goodbye. We were really nervous at first, but the care and compassion the CAH staff showed blew us away. They made a traumatic experience so much easier to deal with because of their kind words, caring attitudes, and professionalism. They set us up in their special suite, laid blankets on the floor so we could lay down and cuddle with our dog, and they gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes to Spike. When it was all over, they gave us all the time we needed to grieve. They even sent out a special condolence card in the mail signed by the entire staff that made us feel better. We cannot say enough good things about Como Animal Hospital. Should anyone ever be left in that same awful position as we were, having to make one of the toughest decisions a pet owner will ever have to make, then we recommend Como Animal Hospital as the place you should go. A huge thank you to the staff there...they are amazing and they are most compassionate staff that we know of. They are the best. On behalf of Spike, my girlfriend, and I....many thanks.

They've been my vet for at least 14 years, maybe longer. Staff & techs are all friendly & helpful. Dr. Guzik is my usual vet & I adore her. Kind, well-educated & I trust her completely with my kiddos. They are on the higher end of costs, ime, but the quality of care & convenience of the after hours & emergency vet services makes it worth it. I've had a laundry list of procedures on a pretty wide range of species done here with no major issues. If you have a very sick bird, I'd suggest an avian specialist first, since birds are so unique; but they absolutely are a great bird option in a pinch/with less dire avian health problems.
Brittany Stafford
Employees are personable and nice. They clearly care and do their jobs with love for the animals and understanding for clients. The Vet really listened to my concerns and input and I was able to receive good care for my cats at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Our dog started limping this morning (of course a Sarurday) and we could not find the cause. I called Como and they were able to put him on the books for approximately 4 hours, which was fine. They offered to call 30 minutes before check-in so we could leave from Brooklyn Park as opposed to having us drive and sit and wait in the cold (-2 today). So thoughtful! Then they called me back within 30 minutes and said we could be seen! The staff were super friendly and the vet was very knowlegable. It was $ as he had to be sedated to get a good look, but that's the price we pay for our loved ones. I'm just thankful they could get him in so quickly with no muss, no fuss. Thank you Como Park!

We have brought our elderly dog here twice and have received excellent care both times. The staff were compassionate and caring. You could tell they really cared and wanted to help. They offered realistic advice and thourogh diagnoses. We felt it dog was in good hands with the staff which helped us. Prices were reasonable which also helped when going through an emergency situation.
Kelly Stice
The Veterinarian we had (Dr. Audrey Pereira) was fantastic. She took the time to talk to us and make sure we understood what was going on. Would highly recommend bringing your bunnies here. Ours had gi stasis and hes now going to the bathroom again!
Steph D
Reasonable prices for emergency services. The staff are super friendly. The vet that I dealt with for my dog with kennel cough took time to explain, answer questions, and treat my pet. She provided reasonable treatment options. I know they were apart busy when we went, but we were still taken care of. We brought a Guinea pig in the past as well and also received the same level of quality and reasonable care and treatment options. Thank you for your help with Oreo and Squeakers!

The staff at como park animal hospital are awesome!! They saved my bunnies life and have answered all of my questions concerning my first bun when he was going through stasis and now a new bun with dental issues. They try to help as best they can with appointments and even advice! I couldn’t ask for a more trustworthy vet office.

I was skeptical about coming here from reading reviews; but it was my best option as not many places specialize in treating reptiles. I brought in my leopard gecko for sand impaction, and we were treated so well here. There was a very long wait (about 3 hours), but we did walk in during emergency hours, and it was obvious they were prioritizing animals that were in immediate peril, so I didn’t mind waiting. The nurse was so wonderful to us; she took her time and spoke so kindly to us. The doctor then came in and gave us honest treatment options, and allowed us time to speak in private before making any decisions. With a heavy heart, we decided that the treatment process was not right for Leonard, since the likelihood of its success was low, and would likely cause him a lot of pain. We chose to have him euthanized, and we were granted proper time to say goodbye, along with lots of morale support from the staff. They even sent us home with a clay pressed with his little foot prints to remember him by. Yes, the wait here is long, but not because the staff isn’t working hard; just because there are a lot of animals in need of medical attention. They were so kind and honest, I cannot stress how grateful I am that Leonard’s last moments were spent with loving people. Thank you so much to the staff. They made his transition out of this life full of grace and love. 💕

We had to take our daughter to have her bird seen due to an emergency. Someone who will see a bird is hard to find, especially on a weekend. On the downside, we had to spend hours in our car waiting for his treatment to be complete, but the treatment was complex and couldn't be done faster. On the upside, everyone was kind and professional. They did a great job with him!
Angela DiPalma
My sweet Daisy has been going here for years. We can never get the good care anywhere else that we have and to go in the past.
Lexi Holland
We've had two of our ferrets here on different emergency visits. The vets have been super knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with. Rates are incredibly reasonable, considering it's emergency services and they're usually able to see patients within a reasonable amount of time. Understand that the pandemic has still seen them sorely understaffed, but they're doing their damnedest!
Kim Rinde
The only time I've used Como Park animal hospital is during an emergency situation with two of my dogs. There after hours emergency care is excellent and the staff is very caring, although they can get very busy. If you go there with your pet that has a non-life-threatening issue, you might have to wait a while before you get care. Two of my dogs were so sick suddenly that they had to be put down in Como Park animal hospital handled both situations with grace and compassion. Neither was planned, both were emergency sessions that indicated the problem that my dogs had was fatal. They have a room that looks like a living room with sofas and a footstool for euthanizing animals, so you're not in some cold examination room doing it. You can get done on the floor with your animal to spend time with them before during and after the euthanasia or they will do it with the animal on your lap or laying next to you on one of the sofas. I cannot think Como Park animal hospital and it's staff enough for their care of Carl and Marty. I've also heard excellent things about the care they give during their regular veterinary hours.

Kind and knowledgeable staff. We are so lucky they are available! My Parvo foster Puppies pulled through with flying colors. Thank you!
Matt Lebak
They did a fantastic job taking care of our bearded dragon emergency. They were knowledgeable and kind. They ensured safe Covid-19 social distancing by having curbside waiting areas. The technician showed professionalism and compassion in a very stressful situation. If you have a late night bearded dragon emergency I highly recommend their services.
Jenny
When I brought my 8 week old puppy in after an accident resulting in a head trauma, Como Park's staff was so kind and quick to try to help my puppy. The vet techs and vet were all so kind and comforting and I knew they tried everything they could for my puppy. Unfortunately he did not make it, but the staff were all extremely comforting and accommodating with giving me enough time to make decisions. In a horrible situation, they were able to keep me calm and collected enough to make the best choices for my puppy.
I highly recommend them as they were exceptional with both animals and people.
David Lovell
When you arrive at the clinic, you are greeted by not one, not two, but three employees! Wow, that is outstanding customer service and they made me feel special, and Glory too! She was actually glad to be there. She was given unending attention. She is not one to take to strangers, she sure did like the staff there.
When the Doctor came in the room, she proceeded to get on the floor with Glory and gave her some undivided attention and lots of love. The Doctor asked lots of questions and gave her a very thorough examination.
The staff ran some test, took x-rays and performed test ordered by the Doctor. After a short wait, the Doctor came back to the room with a treatment plan of action. I was given some test results and detailed instruction along with medication.
If you need another reason to take your animals there, the St. Paul Police Department takes their K-9's there for any and all treatments. Also, this clinic is open 24 hours.
Give them a try.

My dog had been sick and hospitalized for 2 weeks. She rapidly went down hill early Monday. I called them and let them know ahead of time I was on my way to put her to sleep. They got me into a room the minute I walked in and were very compassionate. They took very good care of my dog in her last moments. I have always had good luck with this clinic. The staff and doctors are great.

This happened at midnight, my cat had injure her back leg while jumping off of a table. She must've ran into something on the way out because she started crying. My bf and I knew immediately something wasn't right so we called emergency vet services in the neighborhood as my vet provider was closed. I called one place who was super rude towards me so I gave this place a call and it was a life saver for my cat. The staffs here are super friendly, patient, and professional. They were able to examine my cat quickly and and gave us clear instructions and medications for us. I'm truly thankful they took care of my cat.
Sean Sullivan
Thank you to the staff at Como Park Animal Hospital. They treated my dog for an eye injury, removing a thorn that had become lodged in her eyelid and had caused a cornea ulceration. They were very professional , caring, and thorough. You can tell they really care about helping out our pets. They document your discussions with the doctor--diagnosis, treatment, and next steps--so you don't have to worry about missing anything. Check-in was very easy and efficient, even with the social distancing challenges. I would not hesitate to bring my pets there again.

Had to put our cat down a couple of years ago there, they were very sweet about it, especially it being the first time for our family. We went back there recently with our dog. They were pretty helpful but we ended up going to another place because we needed more of a specialist and they were helpful with that process. They are pretty reasonably priced too compared to other places around. Really not the best area but its a lot nicer on the inside.
Mark Gilbert
We visited after hours when my regular vet was closed. I thought they were great. The staff was helpful and understanding, and the vet was thorough and explained things really well. I'd definitely come back.

I had an emergency situation and no clue how to deal with it. I found a newborn litter of kittens in my basement from a stray cat that had found her way to a crawl space to have them safely. Sadly three of them were deceased however there were three little babies very much alive with umbilical cords still attached. This occurred well after business hours and in the midst of the stay-at-home order. I called the clinic and they walked me through what to do immediately & next. they had the supplies that I needed to help the babies, gave me advice for helping mom if she came back, and offered assistance with the deceased kittens, a HUGE relief. I loaded them up and brought them all into the clinic; they weighed the three babies gave me an approximate age(less than 1 day), Verbal and written instructions on how to care for them and what their basic needs were. They didn't charge me for this however, i chose to purchase bottles & kitten milk replacement formula while there for a reasonable fee. Their knowledgeable, compassionate staff who gave immediate response, direction & clear instructions gave 3 kittens a fighting chance! They thrived! soon to be ready for forever homes. This place was amazing! I give them 5 stars and would recommend them for routine Care Emergency Care and knowledgeable advice.

I brought my French Lop rabbit in during emergency hours. We had never been to the clinic before. I called ahead and they were waiting for us and immediately rushed her back for assessment. I was fairly certain she was dying as she was 8 years old (at the end of average life expectancy for her breed) and she was suddenly unable to stand or even lift her head. I brought her in pretty much knowing she wasn't going to make it only because I didn't want her to suffer. Everyone was very kind, caring, and patient. The vet told me it didn't look good but that they could try and would do an x-ray and some supportive cares. She didn't push diagnostic tests or treatment at all and understood that I didn't want to put a rabbit who was already at the end of her life through anything more if she basically had no chance of meaningful recovery and very likely wouldn't survive anyway. She was very supportive and understanding and explained the euthanasia process to me and answered all of my questions. I asked to hold her and say goodbye before the procedure. She ended up passing away naturally in my arms and thankfully did not need to be euthanized. It was very hard and sad but also left me feeling at peace with the decisions that were made and the way everything happened. The care and kindness of all the staff made a very difficult experience bearable and I'm grateful to everyone.

This animal hospital might very well be the best in the country. There isn’t a single bad attitude in this place. Both of my dogs, one is 15 and the other is 12 and I have been to at least 8 different in both Illinois and Minnesota and Como Park is top of the line. Every nurse, vet tech, and veterinarian are just the most wonderful human beings on this planet. Dr. Kacey and Dr. Sweeney are just the greatest. I will never bring my dogs to anywhere else but this place. They truly are the best!!!!

After calling countless places to find an emergency vet on a Saturday for my rabbit who wasn't feeling well, I was relived to find this place! They started taking his vitals as soon as I walked in the door, which was a huge relief. They were very up front with costs for cremation and possible procedures, and very sympathetic when he ended up passing away minutes after we entered the building. They gave me plenty of time with him, and even saved me some of his fur. I couldn't have asked for a better place to bring my baby during the last moments of his life!
Amanda M.
Staff are kind and compassionate. To pets as well as their owners. I will only go here now.
When I had to bring in my fur baby to free her from suffering, the staff where so amazing. They completely treat your animals as your family members, and not just pets. Very wonderful people..
Dylan Splittstoesser
Both of my visits here have been sad experiences, but the team here was always respectful, comforting, and tried to make my animals end of life experiences as comfortable as possible. They gave clear information to understand options to proceed and empathy the whole time. They even went out of their way to get an ink paw print, which they normally don't do, to make things easier for us.

I brought my sick little hamster to Como Park Animal Hospital’s urgent care earlier this week. I waited about 4 hours (knowing with urgent care /walk in situations a long wait would be the case) and they put me a little more at ease right away by keeping him in the back to be monitored while I waited. This was nice and reassuring to me that he was being looked out for in the mean time. The staff were all very kind, and my options with pricing were laid out very clearly for me. Unfortunately, my little guy passed away later that night. I had to write a review because the compassion and empathy I received from the staff exceeded every other vet experience I’ve had in the past. They gave me the extra time I needed to pick up his remains and belongings the next morning. He was carefully placed in a box inside a soft bag with a quote from the Rainbow Bridge stitched on it, and I received a small clay paw with my hammie’s little footprints on it with his name engraved as a remembrance token of him. It may seem like a small thing, but it was incredibly meaningful to me to know that even after he had passed he was still cared for and treated with respect. I will definitely be using Como Park Animal Hospital as my go-to place for any of my other animal health needs in the future.

I had to come here due to some problems my bearded dragon was having. I ended up having to put him down. Though this is sad I still was thankful for the staff. They were kind, honest, supportive, and strait forward with me from the moment they brought in my beardie. The exotic animals doctor was honest and didn't give me a sense of false hope which I appreciated. They called me multiple times to keep me updated for a could not be inside. Altho the appointment wasn't short I was not disappoint with the serves they provided.

The staff was very very friendly and thorough on explaining everything. Unfortunately my poor baby cat was extremely sick, and i had to put him down. The staff was very understanding and very professional and catered to my situation perfectly. They even made me a paw print plaque of my baby's feet as a memorial. It made that awful experience a little better. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet in need medical care.

Amazing staff. Really compassionate in our difficult time.

They did an amazing job with our little girl oogie! We took her in to the emergency part of the vet and we didn't even have to wait that long. Only two hours from when we showed up and us leaving with our little girl. She's just like her old self and it makes us so happy!
Cory
Very helpful nurses and Vets. My son's pet ferret had been acting very lethargic. On the drive down he passed some material he had ingested. The Dr. came out inspected it and said well I think that was his problem. Turns out the he was right!! Our ferret has been back to his regular ferret stuffs as usual!! Thank you very much!! It's a drive for me but it's the only place I trust!!

It was a great experience from the first call through their after care call to see how my dogs were doing. Our dogs got into some chocolate and we called them very concerned that something could be bad. They took the time to ask questions, explain the fees/ process over the phone, and genuinely cared for us from that first scary moment. Once we brought them there everything was smooth, they were honest and up front about everything. Even after picking him up the next day, someone called to follow up on his after care. Best vet around!
Amber Bouret
Had an emergency visit and the staff were amazing. I know they were having a super busy night but they were all so kind, helpful and amazing with the pup.
Jess Birken
Our dwarf hamsters had mites, and after weeks and weeks of trying natural remedies, we came in for treatment. The staff and vet were all wonderful to work with. The intake and exam process was thorough and everything was explained clearly. We got a good home care plan too. I would definitely recommend Como Park Animal Hospital to any pet owner and especially small animal parents!
Brennon H
The doctors and nurses at Como are extremely kind and helpful! We had to leave our puppy there over night and the nurses provided updates on how she was doing and even followed up a couple of days later to check in on her. They were also very upfront about cost and care plan.
Nicole Hokenson
I had to call to ask a few questions about my cat's getting fleas and what to buy for them or if i could bring them in. They gave me recommendations over the phone. I followed everything they said and we have been flea free since. Very grateful.

Update: In the last 4 years, we've seen every vet at como through our variety of pets with a variety of medical issues. The staff and vets here are always so kind, even with my pets that are actively trying to bite them. I recently brought in my new kitten for a routine vaccination, and she had a rare allergic reaction to it. Dr. Casey and the techs rushed her to the back and stabilized her. They apologized profusely for something that was in no way their fault, and gave me updates the whole time so I could stop having a mini heart attack.
Today I brought a newly adopted hamster with an eye problem in for a free wellness exam through the Animal Humane Society. I wasn't expecting much, but Dr. Jennrich was extremely welcoming and happy to answer any and all questions we might have. He took the time to thoroughly examine our new pet and give us suggestions for his care, even though most consider hamsters to be nothing but pocket pets. I have been searching for a good primary veterinarian for my household's other furry inhabitants, and I will definitely be bringing them to Como Park after today. Thank you so much!
Peter Thomas
We’ve seen every vet at Como and they are all great. Pets are expensive and no vet is inexpensive, but Como is at least there when really needed, while providing consistent, quality service. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences the past 5 years with our dog and cats.
Peyton Hurst
New client, and both my dogs came in this week, and the staff was tremendous. Everyone was helpful, and accommodating. Special kudos to Tracy who was amazing with both of my dogs.
King Shua
Wonderful place to bring your animals. Great staff. Quality care.
Kindra Houghtaling
I love this place. They treat my dog great, it can be hard to find a good vet you get along with when you're from a completely different state. They have made sure my dog is at his healthiest, and always have suggestions to help with any other minor issues he may encounter. Making appointments have always been easy, and they are open 24hrs!!
Abby
I brought my guinea pig to the AfterHours urgent care. The staff were friendly at the front desk. The veterinarian as well as the vet techs were compassionate and quick to address my concerns. Unfortunately, my pig was in too much pain and had to be put down. The staff were very comforting. The price was also very reasonable considering it is an urgent clinic. If your animals are in need of help, do not hesitate to bring them in to Como Park Animal Hospital.
Kari Carlson
They were compassionate and took such great care of our dog during an emergency nobody hopes to have to deal with. They helped us apply for a medical credit line for our dog and let us visit him during his hospital stay. Their staff were so kind, I am happy we chose them.

My dog got bit in the face at the dog park on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. I couldn't tell how bad it was so decided it couldn't wait. When I called they explained their procedures and fees, they were very polite and upfront with everything. It was a little busy when we arrived but the wait was very close to what I was told over the phone. All the staff were so sweet and patient with my dog when he was a little noisy in the waiting room. The vet was great and the tech answered all my questions. It ended up not being serious but we all felt much better for the peace of mind. Thank you!!
Elizabeth Mathers
They are very kind and caring. I hadn't come here before quarantine began. They offer sound advice and I am not stressed about them pressuring me to make decisions. They have taken great care of my cat Buddy and were able to draw blood without sedating him!
Kevin Mansfield
Took our sick pup in late on a Sunday. They treated us and him extremely kindly and quickly. We got his results back in a very timely fashion and they answered all our questions about his condition. Very kind and compassionate people work here.
Casey Cameron
Como Park Animal Hospital is my primary care clinic for three animals - two dogs, and a cat. They are open 24 hours a day, which is hugely convenient! If you schedule during normal business hours, you pay less, but having the same folks in the same place, any time of day is great. The first time I went here was with my newly-found stray dog, at 11pm on a Saturday. We've also made appearances on Halloween night (dog had an infected bite), and others!
They are great folks, who genuinely care about your (their?) animals. I think it's a little more expensive than other places, but I appreciate that they give me all the options, and let me choose what treatments I want to pursue - and I really like being able go to the same place (where they have all of our information!) any time, any day.
Nikki Harren
They are very good at what they do. Thanks for working with us and our kitten. We will miss you zoey RIP babygirl

Took excellent care of my Chip. She had a broken tooth that was originally growing funny. Got her in quick (she's an exotic). There was a little bit of a wait while waiting for the doc to finish with another client but rest of the hospital staff assured me it wouldn't be long and made sure to check in. But once in the doctor looked at Chip and assessed she needed a tooth trim that they did same day and gave her some pain meds. Chip was off after everything and the Doctor even called me personally the next day to see how she was! That's some excellent care. Her recheck went perfectly as well. Super quick and friendly service, makes my drive out there worth it. Love that if something should ever come up after hours that they're available. Hard to find with an exotic vet.
Shawn Puckett
We had an early morning emergency with our new kitten and the staff was very understanding and accommodating. Of course in the time of covid it makes sense you need to wait in your vehicle but they keep me well informed and their processes worked without confusion.
Leora F
They are always so kind and caring but a few days ago, a staff member there was exceptionally awesome and went way above and beyond to show me kindness. I went for urgent care after hours to have my gerbil put-down and this staff member (I believe their name was Lindsay?) sensed that I needed support in making that decision and did so much for me to make me feel comfortable and understood. I was alone there and was having trouble making a decision about putting my gerbil down so I asked Lindsay what they would do, and Lindsay helped me detangle my thoughts by going over the facts of the situation and what each fact could mean in terms of making such a hard decision. Lindsay really knew how to help my decision process along while staying neutral in their opinion and not expressing negative feelings about either decision. It would have been a much harder experience at the clinic without Lindsay there for me, so I just felt like I needed to let the clinic know how much they, along with everyone else there, are appreciated.
Lisa Flygstad
They are very professional and explain everything in detail. And with the curbside service they are sure to update you with everything that is going on with your fur baby. Highly recommended and prices are awesome. If you are looking for a animal hospital this is the best place. Also extremely friendly staff
Lorien Auer
We came to Como Park Vet seeking a 2nd opinion for a sick elder cat. My husband had used them a decade before and trusted them. Dr. Jennrich was able to help him without resorting to surgery like the previous vet had suggested and he's still around 2 1/2 years later.
Adam Arnett
I've brought my cat here for asthma and a uti and both times she received great care and easy to follow instructions afterwards. It can be a bit pricey and sometimes the wait can be a while, but it's always worth it!
louise Pete
We took our tortoise Janie to the urgent vet.
They were very friendly and caring.
Dr Erica Moore called through the whole process and talked about options.
Unfortunately there was nothing they could do for Janie. They listened and answered my questions through my crying. They were very patient with me trying to ask questions while I was crying..
I would recommend them to everyone.
Louise Atkins.

We had brought in a stray that we found in the country last night with a really bad eye. We waited about an hour to see the doctor but staff checked in on us and we’re really awesome and friendly. The doctor was quick and laid out all of our options for him. We chose surgery but he unfortunately passed away during sedation.
During the whole process every staff member we spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and I’m super thankful they do their jobs.
Jan Leathers
Como Park Animal Hospital is the the best place I have ever taken my cat. Not only was the entire staff personable and compassionate, they treated my cat with respect and thoughtfully gave me all the options available for treatment. They even provided a second opinion from a radiologist when diagnosing my cat's illness. When it came time for euthanization, they had a warm and comfortable area for our family to say goodbye to our precious kitty which helped us to come to a proper closure. Como Park Animal Hospital understands that pets are family. Even if I move far away, I will always bring my pets to this place for the best care.
H B
I went to Como Park based off a friend's referral, and I had a great experience there. The staff were friendly and experienced, and really took the time to fully answer my questions. Dr. Sweeney saw my Russian tortoise. In my experience, it's hard to find a good vet for exotic pets, and I have definitely found one at Como Park Animal Hospital. They told me all the treatment options for my pet, and all the pros and cons of each treatment, and sat down and walked through all the parts of the bill with me before performing any procedures. Overall, they did a great job!
Dan Peterson
This vet is a bit more expensive from others I’ve been to, but the staff is fantastic and the veterinarians are professionalism knowledgeable. Plus having your vet available 24/7 is great peace of mind. I’ve taken my dog and cat here for a wide variety of issues and they always seem to know what’s going on.
Karla Anderson
I had my bun in for a dental float with dr sweeney on dec. 18th and by the second or third day after he came home he was eating on his own and running around like a brand new baby! He seems to be doing much better already and I couldn't be happier that I found this vet. I had him in to a different vet and they wanted several thousand dollars to do the procedure which i just couldn't afford. Thank you so much for delivering such amazing pet care at much better price! Its heart breaking to hear your pet needs help but u can't help them due to cost. This animal hospital has spent so much time and went above and beyond to work with me around my work schedule to get him the help he needs. Can't thank you enough this place is a blessing! Also, he is now running around and doing binkies again which I have not seen him do in quite some time!!
Andrew Sean
All staff - from reception, to nursing, to the doctor, were friendly and polite, and demonstrated high levels of skill within their respective fields during my interactions with them. Setting up the appointment was quick and efficient, as was check-in. The nurse was quickly able to assess the condition of my puppy, and provided the information appropriately to the doctor, who was detailed and thorough in her analysis. All in all, the whole office seemed to work effectively as a team, and that made my experience better as a customer and definitely cultivated trust for me in the hospital's ability to effectively care for my dog. I will continue to come here for future visits, and hope for a long and healthy life for both my pup and our relationship with the Como Park Animal Hospital.
Julie Van Steenwyk
It was the only place within 2 hours of where we live we could get emergency care for our dog. After a two hour drive, we had to sit in the car park for 4 hours, still hear waiting to hear from a vet as to how our little boy is.
The Covid situation has made it IMPOSSIBLE to get urgent care for Animals. It is heartbreaking. My husband is on chemo for cancer, I have a major health condition, but you have to do whatever it takes to keep your pets safe. It has been a very trying, nightmare day. Just hoping to hear good news.
Eli A
Very compassionate and helpful when I had to put my pet down tonight. I was very tired and disoriented at 12 going in to get him checked out. I was confused and the vet talked to me multiple separate times through the procedures. Thank you for your compassion.
M SK
One of the few places that I know of in the Twin Cities that offers 24 hour emergency care. Their staff is very knowledgeable with exotics (including rabbits). I have 2 rabbits and they've both been wonderfully taken care of by the vets.
Dalton Kindle
Dr. Hanson and her team have been amazing! Brought my cat in for a blockage, took care of him very quick and updated me very frequently when needed. Super kind and super professional and helpful. Love this location more than anywhere else💜 …
Allan besner
Great doctors. We have guinea pigs and it is hard to find vets to see these little cuties. The staff and doctor were very attentive and explained everything and helped us understand what was going on with our guinea pig. Thank you!
Natalie Steenrod
We utilized the emergency after hours care, and ended up needing to leave our bunny in their care for 36 hours. They welcomed frequent calls to check in, questions, and visits from us to see how she was doing. Their level of caring helps so much. I'm also so grateful that they are experienced in exotic animal care!
Jenney Waldera
Everyone is so nice, from the vets to the techs to the front desk lady. My dog doesn’t always like strangers and they were very understanding and handled him professionally and with compassion when I brought him in for an eye injury after hours. I’ve never needed an emergency vet before so I was dreading the bill, but it was more than reasonable. I definitely recommend this vet!
Clari Gazzero
They took a rabbit that we found on the road after being hit by a car with serious injuries specially on one of the legs. They were so nice and told us they'd do all they could to save him. I'm so grateful we found this place searching the web so we can give this rabbit some hope. They're open 24/7. They offered this service at no expense.
Tanner
The after hour emergency response was great. A kind lady answered on the first ring & helped me stay calm while figuring out what was wrong with my kitty. Even though they didn't have room, she recommended other options nearby that had room. She is exactly who I wanted to be talking to while worrying about my kitten choking
Samantha Deviana
I took my two year old pug horchata there. She was feeling very bad. We couldn’t go inside because of covid 19 they called us and asked questions. I felt very safe letting my dog be in there. They gave us treatment for a very good price. My dog has been feeling back to normal and has been very happy since. Me and my mom are very great full. Everyone that was working that night was very nice. They called up again the next day to check up on her. Horchata is doing very good after following the directions given by the doctor. Thank you
Lori Angus
We want to thank the entire staff at Como Animal hospital. The staff is professional and caring. We appreciate everything you did to make Weebit and us comfortable at a difficult time. We are confident we made the right decision to let him go and end his suffering. Thank you for your compassion. You are truly a champion for our pets wellbeing.
Ashley Mellgren
We adore this place. All the vets and vet techs are wonderful and really enjoy their job and it shows. They are busy but they are good! Our dog loves going here and the staff are so sweet to her! They don’t push you into anything and will answer any questions you have. They give you both sides of things and are honest. We love this place!
Renae Jones
I had to make the saddest decision a pet owner can make today. Everyone was beyond kind, supportive and helpful. I want to especially thank Rebecca. She was so patient and kind I am sorry that I can not remember our vets name but she was great too, as well as everyone we came in contact with. I will recommend these wonderful people to everyone. When I decide to adopt again, I will be using them for my pets care .
Fletcher Lewis (Fletch)
I have been bringing my dog here since last year when he had an emergency issue and the staff has always been supportive, kind, and transparent about costs. They recently diagnosed my dog as being diabetic and have constantly followed up with me on his treatment as well as his behavior and health. I would highly recommend this animal hospital for emergency services (it's cheaper than the U of M!) or just as a regular vet.
Emily Kubic
Great service. Very knowledgeable about reptiles. They're still open 24 hours and keeping the public areas very clean (so important right now). Wait times can be long, but staff are up front about it and will keep you informed. Highly recommend.
Trinity Beell
The veterinary assistants and technicians here provide unparalleled support! This clinic has one of the most compassionate vet teams I’ve ever encountered. They even cater to pocket pets like rats!
Michael Olson
Took my dog here great place. Also when came time to stop his suffering they made it very easy a smooth. Next dog will go here for sure..thanks to everyone.
Rip Bubba.
Seamus Kane
The staff we worked with here were so compassionate and understanding at a time we needed that most. When it was time to let our little kitty go, they made sure we were comfortable every step of the way and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. I can't thank the staff enough for being so understanding when we made the hardest choice a pet parent can make. Thank you so much.
Lal Stiles
They were very helpful.
I can't thank them enough for fixing our cats problems.
Theo Hysell
Adding context - our dog had swallowed gum and my fiance was very worried about xylitol poisoning. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the pricing was very transparent. I knew well in advance what the amount was going to be for the best and worst case scenario as we left our pup for a few hours of observation.
It's comforting to have a place to go to for emergencies.
Aimee Sabetti
Everyone here is so kind and helpful! Without them we wouldn't have our dog today. They are always ready with answers and kindness. Just an incredible place to bring your beloved pets! They always take care of you and your fur babies like family.
Andrea Paulet
This has been a great place for care for my two guinea pigs. They are open 24/7 and are knowledgeable in small animal care. One of the pigs had an ongoing chronic issue and we spent a lot of time here. They were always willing to help and keep costs as minimal as possible. Despite his illnesses, he lived to be over 5 years old! Would highly recommend to others.
Benny J
Had to recently say goodbye to my bestfriend moose, the ladies at como park animal hospital made saying goodbye as peaceful and as comfortable as could possibly be. They all have compassion for animals and could tell they actually cared for animals and it wasn't just a job to be there, they went out of their way to make sure they were doing what they could for my family as we said goodbye. Would highly recommend going there for all of your pets needs.
Cameron H
The check-in process was smooth. The doctor and technician that helped our cat were friendly, considerate, and understanding. They were very upfront about cost, treatment, etc, and they did not pressure us into making any decisions and allowed us plenty of time to decide.
Superbuick26
Growing up my parents always brought our 3 cats here, all 3 lived into their 20s.
I now have 3 dogs of my own, ages 8-14 who are once again very healthy thanks to the excellent care CPAH provides.
I have not refered anyone to any service more than pet lovers to this vet. They will let you know how best to care for your animals, and have always been incredibly professional.
Don DeBoer
My cat shut down on me and I knew it my heart it was time for him to be euthanized. I was in quite an emotional state but the folks at Como Park were so professional and so sensitive that it made this devastating experience just a little more tolerable. Although I know they do this on a regular basis it was good to be treated in a way that didn't leave me feeling like just another number. Thank goodness there are Urgent Care places like this so my cat wouldn't have to suffer another 24 hours in a slow and painful death. They have a family room where you get to spend your last moments with the cat until you are ready for them to come in. They discuss options in a way that is clear and without pushing you one way or the other. I'm very thankful.
Lisa McDermott
We have taken our dogs and cats to Como Park for decades and we will continue to take them in the future. The staff are very friendly and understanding. This is a 24 hour emergency vet, so walk in times may take awhile as they take cases by emergency status. Appointments are recommended.
Brandon imsdahl
We've been going here for a year. Our pup loves the place. The technician's and vet's are informative and great but they typically start the appt late and it can take quite awhile to get out. If you have time to wait, then I recommend but if you're in a time crunch, like most people, it can get annoying.
Tori Miller
We took our sick kitty here on a Sunday, and knew that more than likely we’d have to put him down. Everyone was so kind, they broke down the cost right away, gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and even made us a paw print clay mold of our sweet boy’s paws after he passed. I’m grateful that we went here in our time of need, and that the staff could make a painful experience as easy as possible under the circumstances.
Rayleen Cottrell
This place is AMAZING. They were so busy and possibly short staffed because of the amount of pets coming in, but this did not affect them whatsoever! They were the most kind, caring, efficient staff I have seen!! Kamilah was brought in immediately for supervision and they made me feel safe that they were taking the issue seriously. They were so gentle and kind with Kamilah and offered so many options in how we could treat and help her. They explained thoroughly to me what they did and what they were doing at all times. I think these things are very important and I will bring her back to Como if need be! I know I can trust them with my baby. Thank you all very much for your hard work!
Hanna L
Went in late night when I found a kitty under our house in the cold... They did a quick check to make sure he didn't need immediate help without even charging me. I really appreciated the peace of mind knowing he'd make it through the night until I could get him to the vet the next day, and now we have a new furry family member!
Allison Henz
My husband and I are heartbroken over the loss of our bunny, but so pleased with the care and compassion she was treated with. We can't thank the staff enough for caring for her like she was their own. Would absolutely bring future pets to be seen at this clinic.
Johnny & Sheila Galvan
Great staff our Odie was well taken care of here.
Monica Hanson
The vets and vet techs here are always kind and patient. They give you options to work within your budget.
Kaitey Maloney
We’ve never been so pleased with a vet before. We’ve gone to their emergency walk in hours twice for our two dogs and were treated promptly and with respect. They even called the day after both visits to check in! I definitely recommend and we will be making the 20 minute drive there in the future.
Tischauna Hinrichs
They are so awesome at this clinic! Very nice and knowledgable. I brought a couple of rats in who were having issues. One sadly had to be put down but they were very sincere and caring. The 2nd baby is doing very well on his meds! Thank you for all you do!
You are officially my go to place when in need!!!
Icarus
Wonderful service, very caring and knowledgeable, for both of my small dogs and my parrot! For those complaining about being refused service, what do you expect? to have them drop everything for someone who can't or won't pay them? Unfair to leave degrading remarks due to not having the money to take care of your pets. Get pet insurance so you are prepared. Also, they do NOT ask for money up front- every time I've come in, they only address the money afterwards. Also, every time I have called with a question, including several worried emergency calls for my bird, they have asked the vet questions, and answered all of mine, and helped me over the phone. They have gone out of their way to apply discounts, so that I could afford visits, including waiving the vet fee for my rescue pup on her first exam. LOVE. Appreciate. Thank you, Como Park!
Tiffany Marie
Today i brought my sweet bunny Jeffree into the vet because he stopped eating. Unfortunatley his condition was very bad and i had to put him to sleep.
These guys were very supportive and patient with me as i was making that detrimental decision. I highly recommend the emergency vet team, they were amazing.
Rest In Peace my little bunny, i love you.
Aleta Davannavong
My rabbit had GI stasis and we had to go to the emergency room and we were in the waiting room for two hours. Once she was finally seen they told us it would be good she was hospitalized, but I chose not to because the final price was too much to pay for at one time. They did give her an X-ray and take home medication for a reasonable price so I am glad I brought her in at a short notice.
Amber Deck
The Doctors and staff at Como Park Animal Hospital are wonderful! Working in the field it's hard to go to another clinic and not be in control of my animals care but at this clinic I had no worries. They gave my very sick ferret amazing care, love, comfort and kept me informed as much as possible which I appreciated greatly. Unfortunatlly in the end we had to say goodbye to our baby girl but they made it as easy as possibly and the clay paws they gave us were perfect, you could tell they took their time and made it special for us!! I was also able to go in at anytime to visit with her which made the whole experience better. I now know where to take my animals for over night care or anything else I can't do at my clinic! A million thanks for everything they did!
Carolyn Anton
I was very pleased with care, thoroughness and treatment plan for my little budgie.
Only negative is the parking situation in the back. Very cramped and difficult to maneuver a vehicle in such a small area!
Caleigh Cain
I brought my new bunny to Como a couple months ago, and Dr. Sweeny was very kind and knowledgeable about the attention my bunny needed. He clearly laid out suggestions of exams he could do, as well as the estimated price (which, as a poor college student, I greatly appreciated!). All went well and Gus and I were on our way home shortly. I will definitely be returning when needed.
Jessica Ehrenreich
Como park is wonderful. We've taken all our animals there and the staff is always thoughtful and attentive. They gave all our pets first rate care and sent a beautiful card when my guinea pig passed away. Would highly recommend.
Genevieve Meier
Said goodbye to my cat here recently. The staff was extremely helpful, kind, patient, and respectful, and they helped me say goodbye in the best possible way. Pricing was good for how late in the day we were helped, and at no point did I feel neglected or unappreciated, even when it was clear the staff was dealing with several emergencies.
John Rodriguez
Thank you so much to all the staff there at Como Park Animal Hospital. My seven year old dog, Raven, seriously hurt her rear leg and it was clear it would require an amputation. The staff was all compassion and professional throughout the process and fostered a diligent yet calm atmosphere that gave my doggie girl and I much comfort. Raven and I both thank them very much.
Corri Connolly
Brought my 18 year old cat in on an emergency basis. The staff were friendly. My only complaint is that the vet wanted to do bloodwork PRIOR to putting my old boy under anesthesia and she was supposed to call us with those results BEFORE he went under. She never called AND they had to sedate him BEFORE drawing the blood. Not what we agreed to and ended up spending almost 200.00 on unnecessary bloodwork. He's 18. I only wanted to know if he was okay for anesthesia. Nothing else. So that was very disappointing. Also she never called us prior to putting him under, we actually had to call them His care otherwise was good. I don't think I'd go back there though because this was a very costly mistake and I wasnt kept updated on my cat.
Chandler Hellenbrand
Couldn't have asked for a better experience at Como Park Animal Hospital. The staff was very kind and treated my rabbit with lots of care during her general wellness check. Dr. Jennrich was very knowledgeable and caring, and I will definitely be returning to this clinic the next time my rabbit needs to see a vet.
Michael West
Under extremely sad circumstances this vet clinic made the best of an awful situation. My best friend, pup, little girl, and most courageous of dogs was dying. They assisted my 13 year old dog pass in peace with the wife and I in the room. I can't thank them enough for being so understanding and helpful. Thank you all to the staff who helped my wife and I go through this extremely hard situation.

Jan 31st 2018, my Buddy (cat) whom I saw wandering the street for 4 years and took him into my home baiting him and getting him to trust me. For the next 6yrs he brought so much love and laughter into my home. Came in from outside, quivered, then his hind legs collapsed. I rushed him in, he had a blood clot but also heart disease, his prognosis wasnt good at all. The Doctor and the staff were amazing! I could see Buddy was failing fast, I never had an experience like I had here. A horrible situation happened, but the staff here are so compassionate they made it easier on my Mother and I to say goodbye. But it disnt end there. Today I got home and there was a card with such kind words written within. Brought a tear to my eye. I will be bringing all of my pets here going forward. They brought back my faith in veterinary service. They really care. I was sure if it was Buddy's loving personality, I'm going to credit both. I really appreciate the staff here. They care because they CARE, not because they are getting paid to do so.

I very much appreciate that they're open 24/7; you know that's a sign that these folks care about our animal friends by providing services at any time of day. I brought my hedgehog Nora in at night after she'd been acting strangely and appeared to be in discomfort. Being in a new environment, she naturally went into defense mode and wouldn't unroll from her spiky ball, making it difficult for the vet to examine her. Instead of just jumping into anesthetizing her, the vet spent her time talking with me about Nora's symptoms, the possible tests, and potential outcomes. I had gone in knowing it might be the end for Nora, as she was an older hedgie, and after considering the stress going through tests would cause for her and her future quality of life, the vet made me feel okay about my decision to say goodbye to my friend. She clearly explained the process of euthanasia and assured me that it would be painless, and then they let me spend as much time as I needed alone with Nora to say goodbye. When it was over, they gave me a lovely little clay disc with Nora's paw prints and her name on it. I'm sorry I don't remember any of their names, but all of the staff I encountered were friendly and caring and made this sad experience as comfortable as one could hope for. I hope to never need to use their emergency services again, but I will now bring my cat here for routine and preventive care.
Hannah Joy
Saw my cat at 2 AM when he wasn't feeling good. Didn't have a long wait, was seen promptly, and everyone was friendly and loved my little kitty. Got fluids and a note to watch for improvement. No one seemed to be trying to push a lot of tests or other expensive stuff, just left it at whatever we thought was best.

We have taken our cockatiel there for his first checkup and his one year check up. The staff are wonderdul and so helpful taking the time to explain everything and answer all the questions that i had. I am so glad that someone recommended Como Park to us. We are very satisfied and will continue to take our pet here. Its nice to find a place that i can trust.
M
They are kind and professional, they also know bunnies well and have provided high quality care and advice for mine.
Thanks to their recommendation, I was able to find an excellent opthalmologist for one of my little guys who needed surgery. He recovered without any scarring at all.

The highest regards to Dr. Sweeney & the techs that worked with my rabbit on Saturday. I brought my rabbit in with no idea it would be my last day with her. The horrible situation couldn't have gone any better. I left with the confidence that my rabbit was treated with the highest level of care & the decision I made was the right one. Being a vet tech myself, I had many questions & concerns- Dr. Sweeney addressed my concerns & answered my questions with the utmost compassion & confidence.

We bring all 4 of our fur babies here for care. They do everything from nail clipping for my stubborn mini doxie to laser treatment on his sister (also a mini doxie) for her back.
We trusted Dr. Pat when it became clear that our smallest baby was not responding to treatment and it was time for her to wait at The Bridge.
I trust these guys with the lives that are most precious to me.
Hi there! I would give a 5 star rating for the service and the care. The only reason I rated 4 stars is the distance from my house, just mildly inconvenient.
Christine Shoemaker
I noticed that one of my tortoises was a little mucous-y and had a little inflammation around his eye area, so I brought both of my tortoises in for a regular check up and appointment. Dr. Sweeney was amazing and extremely helpful! He knew right away what was wrong with my Red-footed tortoise, and prescribed some vit A supplements and care sheets. The vets and technicians here are so nice, and they try to make sure that the care your animals receive here is within your price range and comfortability. The waiting time is a little long, but I know that they really care about the well-being of your pets. Really nice job. I was initially a little hesitant to come here because of the complaining/negative reviews, but my mom received quality care here at Como Park Animal Hospital for over 30 years for her Nanday Conure and her Yellow-Naped Amazon, so I trust them and will be making this a tradition to come here for animal care. Thanks Como Park Animal Hospital!
Lydia Rose
I truly appreciated how wonderful this staff was. My pet received a difficult diagnosis and I knew that they worked so hard to make sure it was the right one and they are still working to make sure that my pet is taken care of. Yes, it was expensive for me as a recent graduate but I expected it because of how much work they put in. Anytime I have an emergency with a pet I will bring them here.
Janna Stocker
An emergency after hours vet that can care for exotic pets and small mammals with a great caring staff, that provided excellent care to our scaly lizard baby.
Daisy Garcia
This is the vet I use for my 5 guinea pigs. They're the only local vet that has a rodent specialist and it was worth the drive. I took my pregnant cavy there for a check up and our vet sent us home with lots of helpful literature and an emergency line in case anything went wrong with the pregnancy. Very helpful and friendly staff and full time emergency care.
Felicia Rhodes
Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. They always treat my pets like they were their own. I wouldn't trust anyone else but the staff at Como Park Animal hospital with my furry family.
Kade Frazier
Veterinarians are like dentists. Your family probably goes to the same one for most of your childhood, and then you grow up thinking: "this is how dentists are" (which, according to popular opinion, is apparently someone who is terrifying). The vet my family went to was not very nice or caring and, apparently, only became a vet because he didn't get into med school. Additionally, we always had pet birds in the house so I never realized that many vets don't know much about to take care of them. When my parrot (inherited from my parents) became ill, I originally considered taking her to the vet I had gone to as a child, but then decided to try something new: Como Park Animal Hospital. And I'm glad I did! The staff here are friendly and great and the vet was very knowledgeable about birds and even knew details about the particular species I have. They all seemed to genuinely care for critrers, and they treated my feathery friend with respect.
Mary Koetz
Staff was kind and courteous. Took good care of my dog. Also very professional.
Jill LS
Took my gravely ill guinea pig here for emergency care last fall. Everyone proved kind, helpful and compassionate.
Tona Willand
Excellent individualized and concientious animal care with personal education and involvement of the human. The building itself is a sight to see with murals all over the walls, inside and out. A picture of Dr. Sweeney should be put on the wall with all the other vets!
Neil Ryan
Had to take our cat on a Monday night because his bladder was blocked up by stones. It was a long wait to be see.n (about 4 hours) but that was expected because a lot of animals were in rougher condition than Winston (he had peed and passed most of the stones in the carrier waiting ironically). They did take him to a private room and clean him up so he wouldn't be cold waiting which was very nice. The doctor and techs were pleasant. It was a bit expensive, but to be expected for urgent care. Honestly I thought it'd be more than it was. I would definitely come back for any urgent care needs. Just make sure to call ahead first.
Kiera Dunne
I was extremely cautious going here after I had read all the awful reviews but my ball python needed to go in since he had suddenly started acting weird. I brought him in on a Saturday night after recommendation from Twin Cities reptile store and they were ready to go right when I got there, very friendly and very informative! I think the only issue I had was that it was a very long wait with only myself and 1 other person there but there were only 3 people on staff that night. I highly recommend them.
Juleah Tolosky
I cannot thank the staff here enough. This week I had a sudden emergency with one of my cats and they were helpful, quick and so so compassionate to both of us. Even though nothing could be done to save her, they were so focused on her comfort and giving me the time and space to say goodbye. It was a horrible night but I left feeling so grateful they were open and able to diagnose and respond to her suffering quickly. I didn’t feel like they were trying to push treatments or services on me or my animal, they were honest and empathetic and I feel like they can be trusted in those toughest moments as a pet owner when you are emotional and scared but trying to do the best thing for your animal.
Jacob Constable
Have been bringing my 🐕's here for years staff is amazing feels like family people you can trust …
Dan Lipa
We brought our 20 year old cat in for end of life services at 2 am. They were very caring and compassionate even late at night. The price was a little high, but that's what happens with an emergency vet service.
Sydney Nygaard
I don't even know where to start; the staff at AfterHours made a hard experience as easy and comfortable as it could possibly be. Here is what happened:
A week ago, I brought my guinea pig into the emergency clinic because of labored breathing. They took him back immediately. Unfortunately, he passed away as soon as he received oxygen. A staff member brought me back to a private room and gently broke the news to me. She let me ask the questions and gave me time to grieve. She asked me if I would like to hold him, and gave me time as much time as I needed. When I called her back into the room, she kindly explained all my options to me. I decided to bury him at home, so they wrapped him up in a box for me. Further, they made a clay paw print (even pressed his name into the clay) for me to take home. They did not charge me for my visit. FURTHER, just yesterday I received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff.
Even in the worst of times, AfterHours staff went completely out of their way for me and my pet. I couldn't be more thankful for the support that they continue to give me and will surely go to them for any vet care I need in the future.
Margaret Bock
Very busy and kind. Unfortunately a very long wait but that is understandable.
Ronda Goff
They do a very good job. But with prices going up it's very spendy when you have 2 dogs. Keeping up to date with shots and everything and also they're bravecto and Sentinel every year for prevention.
JoAnn
The staff at the Como Park Animal Hospital are exceptional! They were very caring and thoughtful when I brought my cat in for her first appointment.
I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone with a pet.
Jamie McQuillan
Wonderful , wonderful staff! Couldn’t of asked for a better experience and treated our animal like their own. They made it very comfortable all around! Highly recommend and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thanks again Como Park Animal Hospital!
eric
We had a ferret in critical condition and found the staff there to be very understanding and were able to care for our ferret and bring her back into a stable condition. we don't know where we would have been if it wasn't for the fast thinking and studious care of the Como Park staff.
Daniel Grady
Sorry about everyone's problems at this vet but my experience went very well. I know she was in good hands and she was handled well. Clear instructions, happy to answer all our questions. Real only negative thing was the wait but that's expected. Highly recommended.
Sharon (Cheri Bomz Art)
The closest & (only?)Place i could find to take my cockatiel on a Saturday. Got in right away, birds delicate. I waited a few hours in lot. They wanted me to stay in lot. Pack a snack. Can use bathroom. Wifi available.
Driftlessdude
Stellar pet care and staff. Very respected for exotics such as parrots. I had even brought an ailing Burmese python there I had rescued and they helped her. A+ care for all furred, feathered, and scaled companions! 🧡 …
Peeps the Angry Lovebird
Good vet and very compassionate. I've had my birds and cats there. They offer 24 hour emergency services, which is nice if you work odd hours.
Ryan Barton
We've been going to Como Park Animal Hospital for almost 10 years. Dr. Jennrich has taken such care with our pets that it's almost like seeing an old friend a couple of times a year. He and Jessica have more than once gone well out of their way to do the right thing for our German Shepherd. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the whole staff at CPAH.
Rebecca Lind
Brought my dog in for a seizure at 10 pm and they took him in right when we got there. The wait to speak to the vet after our dog was being treated was reasonable considering it was a last minute intake late at night, but so worth it. Thank you Dr. Perrera.
Daisy Morgan
The team showed deep compassion and professionalism throughout the whole process. I was grateful to have such a thoughtful team on one of the worst days of my life. They recognize that our four legged friends are truly part of the family and treat them as such.
Star Skit
Late at night the day before Christmas Eve I had to bring my sweet lil hammy to this vet because he wasn’t doing well. We where helped and they even made me a press of his paw prints completely free of charge. And although the vets there probably didn’t exactly know what was happening with my sweet baby they did all they could to help, checking his heartbeat and then talking to us about putting him down after he clearly was getting worse. And then after we saw the amount of his suffering and we decided to put him down, a few weeks later we got a card in the mail apologizing for our loss. Overall they did the best they could with the situation, and I’m very impressed with the fact that they treat all types of pets. Not only cats/dogs
Would definitely recommend to anyone with an urgent issue with any pet
Brooklyn Brooklyn
I run a dog rescue and they did two things: great care and advice for the pooch plus they were mindful of our bottom dollar. They are on our list of providers.
Nakea Taylor-Johnson
This was our first time coming to this animal hospital...it was very clean and nice..the staff was great...the veterinarian and his nurse were great with my cat. They were compassionate..and was very knowledgeable...the only thing i didnt like was that we were not seen at our scheduled time...other than that..i would have given 5 stars
Donna Krueger
Very informative and helpful with the future care needed for our rescue babies!
B5 Fan
We have been taking our cats here for years. They have helped us through normal checkups, minor and major illnesses, and the Saddest Things. Everyone here is great and cares about us and our four-legged family members.
Audra Hilse
They took very good care of my corn snake when he had some unexpected trouble on Mother's Day. I found their rates reasonable for both after hours and regular appointments. I appreciate having an emergency clinic that has expertise in snakes.
Rachel Indihar
Took my sick cat there and was impressed with the compassionate staff, both at the front desk and the doctors and VAs. Highly recommended for regular appointments and after-hours Urgent Care.
Trevor Vaubel
My veterinarian at Como is super nice. You can tell she loves animals and is passionate about caring for them. The front desk staff is friendly and loves pets too! Love this vet!
April Willis
They took great care of my pet! Everyone was super nice! Really appreciated the after care call! Definitely would use them again
Dylan Ashur
Verry sad occasion for me and my wife. We arrived just as our fancy rat Marth passed away. The staff was verry friendly and even offered me a free paw print mold to take home:) again verry sad but they seem to know how to easy the moment. Would recommend to animal lovers in need.
Sheila Woolhiser
Brought my pup in with high fever and low blood sugar. He stayed 2 nights and the staff was so kind. It wasn't cheap but he'd be gone without their intervention.
Shelley S
You get what you pay for and CPAH is great but expensive. They have cared for our 2 dogs over 10 years. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Great hours too. We think it is worth it
Patricia Gustafson
They were good to my daughter's guinea pig, but for the cost, I wish more vets would offer li like payment plans or options, not be so cut and dry.
Al Angen
Nice, caring people who quickly took in my struggling pet and came up with a plan quickly to get her back to health.
Frederick Steimann
Absolutely love our vet, Dr. Pat Jennrich. He's taken care of our multiple dogs over many, many years.
Paul DeGeest
Great care, friendly staff. Our regular vet wasn't open when our dog got injured, so we took her to AfterHours on Dale Street. Long wait because they were tending to more serious cases, as they should. Initial treatment, then ongoing follow up with our regular vet. So far, so good.
Autumn Cornelius
I am so impressed by the quality of care and by the compassionate staff. If you have an emergency with an animal, I would go to Como Park Animal Hospital.
Tammie Christensen
We went in for an emergency and they were fantastic. Was worries may lose our fur-kid but they were able to help get him on the right track.
Casi Jean
I was so happy the amazing after hours staff was there at our time of need. New Years Eve my very old guinea pig fell ill, we knew that she wouldn't tolerate treatment. We took her to the AfterHours clinic to be euthanized and the staff was amazing and compassionate. We are so happy we chose them. Pricing was amazingly affordable for the care we received.
Tamara Avery
Thank you can begin to say how wonderful the care is at Como Park 24 hour Animal Hospital. The staff, from front desk to the doc....ALL AMAZING
KIND, LOVING and give the best care to your furry loved ones.
Brittany Knoblauch
They were so helpful and respectful as we had to put down our sweet ferret
Mike Anderson
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. We've been taking our bearded dragon here and recently brought our new puppy in for treatment. Highly recommend
DANA W
I'm very pleased with Dr. Casey and the staff here. We moved in June to this area, after reading reviews and visiting. So glad we choose Como Park Animal hospital. The communication and customer service is superb!
Aspen Schultz
They were very kind and great with my cat! They were also able to give me different options in care to help with prices and obviously care about the animals!
Julie Johnson
I was very impressed with the kind and compassionate care that we received with our guinea pigs. The staff was amazing with a difficult situation. My 16 year old and 11 year old were with me and they spoke directly to my 16 year old (they were her guinea pigs) and allowed her to make the decision to allow one of them that was very ill to pass on. They did a quick check of our other guinea pig to make sure she was OK without a charge. We were given options then time to say good bye. They made little foot prints for us to take home. They made us feel good that we were doing everything we could and that it wasn't our fault for the illness, but also educated us on a few things that we didn't know about caring for guinea pigs. Today we received a sympathy card in the mail and it is those little touches that give it a 5 star review.
Eleta Pierce
Or family has been going here since the early 90s, and CPAH is like family to us. Great drs and technicians, they care a lot about their clientele and their people.
Matt G
Very compassionate people. I brought my Rat to them for cremation, they made the most wonderful little mold of his feet and tail, and days later a Sympathy card arrived in the mail that the staff had signed & written condolences in. Warmed my heart
Mai Vang
They are amazing for keeping an active list of vets near by if the wait is too long during an emergency. Give them a call at the very least.
SPP
We bring our guinea pigs here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel like your pets are in good hands!
Sarah Kilawee
We brought in our cockatiel, Zoey, that we could tell was on her way out. We only had her for a few days, so she must have been sick when we got her. We found AfterHours online and learned they had avian vets on site, so we brought her in. Even though we had to wait outside due to covid, they called us to keep us updated. The vet and staff were very kind and let us know when she passed. The vet even stayed on the line to answer any questions we had, and we knew he did all he could to treat Zoey. It was a hard day for us, but we were grateful to the staff for their compassion and kindness. The cost of the visit and treatment was waived, and we just received a card in the mail today, hand signed by everyone in the clinic. Losing a pet, especially during these hard covid days, is extremely difficult. However, the team here was excellent and I would definitely recommend them.
Karin B
We've taken both of our dogs here at various times (one for chocolate ingestion, the other for a ruptured anal gland) and they have been so helpful. I've also called about an abandoned, malnourished cat we took in, and they gave me advice and told me what signs to look for to know if I needed to bring him in. He ended up being fine, but they gave me peace of mind that first night so I didn't have to worry until I could take him to my regular vet. Great staff, convenient location and wonderful service. Thank you!
Elizabeth York
I really appreciate the care my cat received here. Through several phone calls and in-person visits, I met and spoke to several vets and techs and they were all amazingly supportive and kind and cared for my cat as if she were their own.
Jack Schneider
Highly recommended! Long wait but was warned about that ahead of time. These vets and employees truly love animals. Felt very comfortable
Erik Grotberg
They took great care of our sick boy. He had to stay overnight with pretty wicked pancreatitis and they gave him a lot of love and fluids. He's doing much better now.
Michael Braddock
Brought my pup here early on a Sunday for emergency treatment. The facility is large and clean. The stafg were friendly, informative, and made the dog comfortable.
If I am ever in need of emergency services, I won't hesitate to bring him here.
Thomas Settevig
Staff is really nice. They seem to genuinely care. I will definitely bring my pets here from now on.
Betina Guimaraes
Awesome experience! Staff were incredibly understanding and professional. My puppy was under incredible care. Thank you Como Park Animal Hospital Staff!
laura smith
So happy with Como animal hospital. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Rebecca was very knowledgeable and kept our dog gunner at ease overnight! Would highly recommend!
Brian Sennett
The staff at Como Park Animal Hospital were very kind and accommodating with us during a hard time with our dog Luna. They are excellent professionals and I would recommend.
Ani Sorenson
I can't say enough good things about this place. Best techs in town and the vets are all great too. The waits can be long but once I am in a room with a vet they take as long as I need and that is time well spent.
Dayna Davis
The service was good, techs and reception were very caring. The vet we had was kinda just in and out, he didn't seem to view me or my rabbit as beings just a dollar amount. And VERY EXPENSIVE!!!
Tania Teigen
My Pom-chi was hit by a car, I ran her here. I was shaking and hysterical. This horrible experience was made better due to their knowledgeable and caring staff! She required surgery, so needed to stay a total of 5 days. They called me twice a day with thorough updates, Made me feel comfortable to visit and call w concerns. After she came home, the genuine care for my dog didnt end. I called w questions, they called to check on her. We still have 6 more weeks of rehab and PT to go through. I have 3 dogs and will never go to another vet!! AWESOME, AMAZING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!
The Drs and staff LOVE animals and it shows w their treatment of everyone!
blue druid815
They are some of the best vets i have ever taken my animals to. They are friendly and they care for animals very much. And a great place to take alot of animals in a state or emergency.
Tawny Blaylock
Great service, super helpful, friendly, and never made me feel like my baby wasnt the most important patient! I love it here and will definitely be back for other next emergency!
Talee Yang
Don’t expect to get urgent care right away. I came to them seeking help for my sick bird that was showing signs of life threatening seizures. They were booked in the morning and I had to wait two hours before being called into a room. My bird was placed in an incubator during that time while I waited out front concerned if my bird was going to live. The staff weren’t too friendly and it just made me even more stressed about my situation.Thankfully, he was okay despite having multiple seizures. The avian vet was helpful and the cost for medication & assessment was reasonable.
Tracy Martinson
One of the very few clinics that can treat exotics 24/7, like my sick little guinea pig. They can go down hill so fast, he might not had made it through the weekend without Como Park Veterinarians.
Scottie Johnston
Como park always helps me out, even if I don't have an appointment. It will take several hours of waiting to be seen if you don't have an appointment though.
Kurt Duncan
Great service! Was able to promptly diagnose and treat a problem my cat had on NEW YEARS DAY of all days. Grateful they were open to help.
Autumn Yencer
Brought my dog in during the emergency hours, I thought the care was good and the explanation of everything was covered. However I do think they are a little pricey. Over all a good choice for emergency care.
Karen Gregg
We had an emergency and this animal hospital handled the situation with compassion and care would recommend to anyone who values their pet to be treated with dignity.
Lizzie Mataya
My boyfriend and I fell in love with a very malnourished and sick stray cat I had found begging for food outside of my work. We tried our best to help her but we were losing the fight. My bf called several vets seeking immediate help. Since we both work evenings we were lucky to find this place. We brought kitty Sheba in as soon as we could, but there was nothing we could do. The staff and doctors were extremely informative to us and compassionate towards our kitty. Unfortunately we had to put little princess Sheba down, but she passed in my loving arms. It was a very difficult experience, but we both took comfort in knowing she's not suffering and the veterinarian staff 💯 cared. I would recommend this animal ER to anyone with a beloved pet. I know for sure if one of my other kitties fall ill I'm coming here.
Randy Hope
This is a great practice that also deals with small exotics like guinea pigs. Thoughtful and caring staff. They have better follow-up than some human doctors I've went to.
Elly Helcl
They saved my vet sick ferret and the entire staff I have interacted with have been wonderful.
Matthew Phillips
Wonderful veterinary clinic with late night hours for emergencies. All of the staff have been very friendly and helpful with my boy John. 10/10 would recommend.
Marta Grieman
Had to put my cat, Izzy, down at 5.30 AM on New Years day. This was after struggling with an autoimmune disorder for the last 6 months. When I called I was told to bring her right in and was promptly helped. Everyone was amazingly nice and made a tough situation as easy as it could be. The staff was very compassionate and caring toward me and my pet even though they were not our primary clinic at the time and did not know us. The accomodations were very nice and I got to hold my cat in a nice room during her last moments. I am extremely greatful toward the staff for how they treated this situation and I felt like Izzy and I were very cared for.
Sandy L
Wouldn't trust anywhere else with my new puppy. Como has always been great to our furry friends! Great care and a great staff!
margaret Funston
Great service from regular hours to after hours care!! The vets, vet techs and front desk are all spectacular!! Thank you for taking such good care of our pups :)
John Lang
Very nice kind and helpful. Was very good with our old pup nala.
John Hertzog III
Very much appreciate regular care, but be aware that urgent care can take hours and hours and while I understand there are more critical cases that come in, the staff does not update you about anything time-wise. 5 stars for regular care, 2 for urgent.
Nicola Koh
I love this place. The staff, nurses, and doctors are all amazing and very committed to my dog and cat. Have been going here for 4 years now and never had an issue
DANGOOMCL
We started out with Como Park animal hospital when we bought our first parrots, and continued going there with our dogs and then cats. Great doctors, great staff, and the best animal care available.
Kay Korupp
These folks remember you and all your pets. Although busy, they always take care to answer all questions and make you feel welcome. Always follow up with phone call on recovering pet.

i say this but they went beyond by far .
there are no words to describe there professionalism. thank you
Bonnie Neville
Very pleased. All vet staff are knowledgable on exotic parrots!
Only place open with avian vet on Holiday week.
Would definitely go there again.
Tyler Steffenhagen
Always there to help and have always taken good care of my pets from birds to dogs.
Emma Nelson
I called another 24hr pet place with a question and they basically said “dunno, sorry.”
So I called this Afterhours vet location here on Dale st and this super sweet lady answered-I wish I had gotten her name- and I asked her, and she knew right away and was like, “that’s it?!” Like my question was so easy and even though we have to (unfortunately) go to a different 24hr vet, she was SO LOVELY and like happy to answer my query and help and I just love finding places who employ such genuinely sweet and caring people. 10/10 LOVE
Sue Larson
Daisy and I THANK YOU with all of our hearts. You diagnosed what others could not. Did not push for unneeded and costly test. When I got home I call my current vet and had all of her records transferred to her new vet COMO PARK ANIMAL
Mary Ford
My dog was bit by another dog and I wanted to make sure he didn’t get infected so I brought him in later at night and the staff was so so kind and knowledgeable!!

Friendly, kind staff. Open 24 hours, cool murals, free hot chocolate and coffee for worried pet parents. Long wait, but they were busy.
Katrina Smith
We brought our cockatiel Charlie in because she had been severely injured. Unfortunately, she was beyond help. With care, compassion and understanding, the staff at the clinic helped us through our difficult decision of euthanizing her. We just received a card signed by all the staff and it touched our hearts so much. The empathy, patience, and medical care provided was exceptional to such a degree that we highly recommend this clinic to everyone. You will not find a better clinic. Thank you, Afterhours Veterinary Care.
Brooke Underdahl
Very friendly and knowledgeable!! They were able to help my chinchilla who had a bad infection. They saved him from loosing a foot!
Dan E
Been taking our animals here for 20+ years. Great staff and service. Sometimes kind of slow waiting but worth it.
Gwen Kachelmyer

Have been bringing our cat & dog here for the past 5 years, Love it! Always friendly staff and knowledgeable
Tracy Otterson
Saved the life of our cat! They offer regular vet care as well as urgent and emergency care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Ashley Franks
Spend $241 on two guinea pigs. The vet didn't tell me much beyond what I already knew, but everyone was quite friendly. Be prepared to spend $$$
SGT OPus
I cannot say enough great things about the staff with their professional and caring manner when we had the hard choice to place to sleep our beloved sugar glider.
J Ingalls
I understand with covid, waits will be long but six hours means a staffing issue when there were only two other cars in the lot. They did provide good care however.
Nancy Booth
Staff was efficient. They did a great job.
mary Bacheller
Excellent and compassionate care during an emergency. You made a sad situation as easy as it could be. Reasonable price. Thank you for all you do.
Jeremy Miller
Brought in my sand boa and couldnt be happier the vets and techs were very kind and helpful i will definitely be bringing her back for future needs
I dont understand why people complain if you cant afford a pet and the costs to keep them healthy then dont get pets its pretty sad
Kassidi Cottingham
Very kind and helpful when our cat had an abscess on his face. Thank you for taking such good care of him!
Derrek Chapin
Fantastic place of animal lovers. They really helped us with our guinea pig and understanding what was wrong and all available options.
Michele Ture
In an emergency situation they need to better explain that they don't take those till regular hours are over. But after that they were Great!!! Great place, great people, and great service!
Nicole Warner
They did an awesome job on my kitty Onyx. Thank you for taking really good care of her
Jenea Ylinen Fredrickson

CPAH is the best! It is a veterinary clinic that sees your pet as their pet. Thank you for providing my pups with such great care.
