Blue Pearl did a generally good job and I was happy with Dr. Cunningham. People there seem to work pretty hard and they always tell you how especially special your pet is.
But, they are incredibly expensive. I am angry right now because my cat has been in there twice recently at the cost of around $1000. In a follow up by phone they told me he should be given a medication - but because I already had some at home, I wanted to finish that bottle up. I ran out of it this morning. Today they would not give me more medication because I didn’t have an actual prescription. It wasn’t filled out only because I had some left over. They did find the med recommendation in their vet’s notes, but they wouldn’t allow a prescription to be written unless I brought my cat in again for another expensive emergency visit which he does not need! At my usual vet, I have gotten new prescriptions based on notes, so it’s within their capability to do so. My regular vet is closed until Monday or I might be able to get it from them. Now I either have to pay the big bucks, or wonder if my cat will be in misery. I’m really ticked.

My two year old lab had a pet emergency at 10 pm and I found Blue Pearl from google search. Receptionist Wendy took my panic call and handled my fears with patience and grace. Helping give me over the phone advice until I decided to bring my dog to them. Everything was fabulous even helping me with payment options through Care Credit if I needed it. Every interaction I had was positive and professional. The vet, Dr. Kevin Bitu, was so reassuring that my dog would be fine afterward and didn’t add on any unnecessary care. I felt he (they all) were watching out for my best financial interests, too. Trust is through the roof. I have such peace of mind knowing exactly where I’d go in another pet emergency. I’m so grateful.

Took our pup here yesterday for a potential obstruction in his stomach/intestines. They were very upfront about all the wait times and costs, and made sure to check in with me before proceeding with other tests and scans that would be an extra charge. It took much longer than expected, but since our dog was stable other serious cases got pushed ahead of us, which made sense to me. I wasn’t overly anxious about his condition and it was a holiday weekend, so I didn’t have another place to be. Otherwise, it could have been much more frustrating. It was expensive, but we’re grateful we had pet insurance for him—another mitigating factor. Overall, I appreciated their forthrightness and clarity about his condition and their processes.

My 15 year old dog started showing signs of distress so of course I rushed her to the emergency vet. I walked in and they first thing the receptionist said hi what’s going on and I explained and she asked if I had called before and I said no and she explained to me that they weren’t taking new patients. My heart shattered I thought my dog was going to die in my arms. It was my fault for not calling I didn’t know you were supposed to call before going so anyways she said she would see us anyways. After 10 min the doctor told us my dogs prognosis was not good the doctor explained all my options so clearly and easy to understand after me asking many questions i decided my dog was ready to go. I called some family and the vet was able to make her comfortable while we waited. The vet gave us some time and I’ve put 2 other dogs down in my life and this was by far the most peaceful and respectful experience. They were so incredibly kind and thoughtful and although I wish I got to bring my baby home with me I knew she was in safe hands. Thank you for everything❤️

I was so impressed with the care my 3-month-old puppy received at BluePearl recently. She had ingested a foreign object after business hours so we were seen at their emergency hospital. Staff were able to quickly evaluate her and provide the necessary procedure to remove the object. All of the staff members were helpful and kind throughout the process, which I appreciated. I was provided with helpful information for her discharge and felt comfortable bringing her home after the visit. I was grateful for a smooth first (and hopefully last) visit to the emergency vet with our new puppy.

Our sweet boy Bogey is about to celebrate his first birthday and we are feeling especially grateful for Blue Pearl and their staff as they helped save Bogey’s life.
Back in September our local vet referred us to Blue Pearl for an emergency blood transfusion as Bogey’s Red blood cell count was dangerously low. We were terrified but the staff at Blue Pearl walked through everything with us and got to work on Bogey right away. Bogey ended up staying 6 nights in the hospital and received 4 blood transfusions. It was a full week of ups and downs. Throughout it all every single person at blue pearl was so patient, kind, and compassionate with us. Shout out to the receptionists for being so kind and friendly every time we called (often once a hour) and thank you to the vet techs for texting us updates whenever you could and helping us to arrange outdoor visits. The staff always provided us with an update when they said they would. It was very apparent they put caring for the animals first but were also so patient with us.
Lastly, I want to thank Dr. Mourning and Dr. Jarchow for their expertise and exceptional care. They worked tirelessly to treat Bogey. During most of his stay, we weren’t sure if he was going to make it and without them I don’t know if he would have. They gave us so much hope while still remaining transparent and considering our position financially. Bogey has made so much progress over the last few months and is doing well. Dr. Jarchow is still involved in Bogey’s long term treatment plan.
We will be forever grateful for Blue Pearl!

Our vet recommended we take our 10 week old puppy into them ASAP to get him checked out, and we could not be more pleased with this team. They not only got him in fast, they were honest and to the point which we really appreciated. They made us feel comfortable with our decisions and tried to ease our nerves as much as possible when it came to an emergency surgery. Afterwards, the team did fantastic at updating us about our puppy and sent us a picture on how well he was already recovering. They have been more than willing to answer all of our questions along the way. I would always recommend this place to anyone who needs it. We and our puppy thank you all SO so much. Because of you guys, he is still here with us.

Saved my girls life❤️ Our experience in such an awful emergency was amazing to say the least. Our lab needed emergency surgery after a large mass was found in her abdomen the night prior, our vet got us an ultrasound and they found she had a strangulated lipoma. They were excellent with communication, they worked as a team and yes it was a lot of money but you can’t put value on quality care. Huge shout out to the blue Pearl team from the receptionists, to the radiologist to the overnight workers to the doctors & techs (dr Bishoy, Amy, Sarah!) all of you made damn sure my girl came back home, we are forever grateful! You all are heroes🙏🏼❤️ Thank you for your top notch services!!

The care that was received here was nothing but the best. I had searched for a diagnosis for my cat for two years, spending thousands of dollars and multiple vets. I arrived to Blue Pearl as an emergent referral and even though the outcome of my pets life was not what I wanted to hear, they quickly found the diagnosis and walked me thru the process. Dr. Wolf is an outstanding doctor who is to the point, giving you all the facts but was also compassionate to my cat and I when we had to make tough decisions. Highly recommend.

Wonderful group of people working in this amazing facility ! Our dog Tucker was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder last year and the whole staff at blue pearl starting from the ER physician to Dr Mazepa’ team has been amazing ! We are so grateful for this hospital and the care we have received ! Thank you Dr Mazepa and the Blue Pearl team !!

They have an incredibly difficult job having to have urgency in what they do while still handling the emotions of clients with their pets. My experience was wonderful. They checked every box in making sure we were informed of the cost, procedure and timing of everything. They gave us hope by being kind and offering words of encouragement for a situation that seemed dire for our dog.
Can't recommend them enough! Thank you!

Had to put down one of my dogs, this past weekend.😥
But...I couldn't have asked for a better experience, even having to go through that!
Thank You! God Bless You, for being, exactly who you are! All of you!

Elizabeth at the the front desk was very empathetic and so very kind. My two little fur babies were attacked by a big dog and we needed to bring them in right away. I was calling everywhere and couldn’t get them in anywhere. However, she helped us exactly when we really needed it. She made us feel safe, and made the process very smooth. We need more people like her in the healthcare field for our fur babies. She was gone when we came back to pick our fur babies. And we couldn’t thank her in person. So Thank you so much Elizabeth for the kindness that you showed us. It truly means a lot. Thank you to all the wonderful staffs there as well.

The staff here were really great. This was the 2nd emergency vet that we tried last night. At the first place we were given a two hour wait time. At Eden Prairie Blue Pearl they took are dog right in and checked her out. The vet called and talked to us within an hour. Really great Vet. Super helpful and supportive. Clearly stated what our choices were and what it would cost while being understanding and empathetic . I would 100% go back here.

Very happy overall with the specialist referral care and the ER/hospital care. Staff and doctors are great. Only hiccup was being told twice that the overnight doc would call with an update in the morning in a specific range of time, when I called after not hearing back the receptionist was somewhat short with me and I was told care was transferred and the other service would call with a plan. Went almost 15 hours without speaking to a doctor during a 30 hour hospitalization. My pet declined significantly in that 15 hours. I believe this poor communication be the fault of a single overnight doctor and given my positive experience with easily 30 other employees I would still recommend Blue Pearl.

We had never been to BluePearl before but ended up needing their emergency services when our beloved almost 8 year old mini schnauzer was diagnosed with Evan's Syndrome. At almost 2am, we had to call to bring him in to end his suffering. Everyone we spoke with was kind and sympathetic. When we arrived we were ushered into a separate entrance and our own little room that had been prepared for us. We were walked through the process and all the options in an efficient and empathetic manner. It was the worst day of my life, but they handled it in a way that I'll forever be thankful for. You don't want to have to recommend euthanasia services for your pets, but if you ever need them, I wouldn't hesitate to call BluePearl.
Rachel Coyne
The blue pearly clinic was amazing. Everyone is so sweet and attentive. It took 30 min to get in and they treated my dog like their own and even texted me pictures when he stayed over night. I would trust them with all of my pets. Highly recommend.

Our old dog was a patient with this practice probably about a decade ago. We since have rescued two dogs, and found a different practice. One of which is not people friendly. In his state tonight, he was so weak that he allowed us and the staff at blue pearl to hold him. We walked in presuming the worst, but everyone from the vet (Dr. Gayle) and ALL of the technicians were nothing but welcoming and understanding of our circumstance. The doctor heard us, and gave us all of our options along with her perspective on what was going on in a clear manner. Under normal circumstances I would give them five stars for their care and compassion that I witnessed tonight. Under a probable euthanasia case, they excelled.

I brought in a stray I found to scan for a microchip at around 5am on a Saturday. It was quick and fairly easy. Only issue is the woman who worked there just stood there and asked me to scan the cat because 'he seemed to like me better' (the cat wasn't aggressive, just walking around and meowing). It made me nervous that I didn't do it right because I've never used a microchip scanner before! Sometimes this place is your only option, but I wouldn't choose it if other options are available.

I went through with a decompressive hemi-lami for my dog with IVDD at Blue Pearl with Dr. Hollman. We are so happy, here’s my story!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
We were referred to Dr. Susan Hollman from neurology in January 2022 after our 10 year old papillon (who had just successfully finished surgery and chemo for cancer) suffered IVDD after taking a hard corner in the back yard and could barely use his back legs. She was incredibly thorough, informative, compassionate, and conscious of cost with balance of outcomes. She met me where I was at in the process of considering a huge procedure (both physically/emotionally for my dog and financially for myself). We had had excellent experiences with surgery (So sorry I cannot remember his surgeon’s name, but she was female and I loved that) and oncology (Dr. Duffy) at Blue Pearl in Arden Hills and trusted Dr. Hollman implicitly (Coop is 1 year cancer free miraculously!). Her and I decided to try a week of steroids, but escalate to MRI and possibly surgery if there was minimal improvement. Steroids didnt help Cooper. MRI showed what we thought, IVDD and we proceeded to surgery that week.
At first, right after surgery, I was scared I made the wrong decision because he lost so much more function. However, he slowly gained it back and then some after the first week. Dr. Hollman was communicative from the start that this would happen, but it is just hard to see as a dog mom. Seven months later now, he is walking almost normal and has a great quality of life. My husband and I feel it was the right choice for our family and situation and would absolutely do it again without question.
Turns out after talking to a TON of my co-workers, their dogs had also seen her for the same issue and we all decided to get our dogs treated and have all had good outcomes.
Just a PSA! Get dog insurance if you are reading this pre-emptively. You do not need to hold all of this financial burden while making life-changing decisions for a loved one who just happens to be canine! We didn’t have it, but made it work, but hopefully no one has to!
Sandy Anderson
Excellence! I brought my Maltese in with a serious issue and the compassion and care given to her was outstanding. You can tell they truly care about their patients. Both canine and humans. Thank you!

Had an emergency situation with my 6-month old female kitten. They couldn't get us in as they were overwhelmed with emergencies, but the staff was extremely helpful in finding another place to go. Very considerate and caring staff.

I will always be grateful to Blue Pearl Eden Prairie. My cat has come here in the middle of the night with issues, and last October my little dog Trucker started chemotherapy here for Lymphoma. As of March 03 he was healthy again......a survivor.
Though the cancer came back, and we lost Trucker on Saturday to the Lymphoma, I will be always be happy that we chose Blue Pearl. They did all they could over the time we used them. They educated us about what he was experiencing, and followed their guidelines to help him. They offered Trucker a chance, and gave us more time with him. The staff from front desk through doctors proved to be simply the best.
We suffered less emotionally in the long run because these wonderful people are so good at what they do for our pets, and they have the knowledge and compassion and dedication to do all they can in every case.
Adam Rowe-Johnson
Great people that show they truly care for your pets. Efficient system in place to ensure the animals most in need get cared for first, so if it isn’t urgent, expect a longer wait (up to 8 hours depending on how busy).
Jen Fracisco
The over the phone triage was really helpful but said it wasn’t really emergent but could bring my cat in if I wanted. When I finally saw the vet, which wasn’t a huge wait, he said it was good I brought him in when I did.
They cleaned my cats wound, gave him a cone collar and some antibiotics. $326 later- we were good to go. The estimate from the tech was $40 less than what I paid but at the end- good experience.
My cat’s wound healed well. Only complaint is they took him from me to do the shaving, cleaning and cone. Also the cone was way too tight and he was gagging. I had to take off the adhesive and replace it. The cone was way too big and it wasn’t adjusted properly to fit.
Care instructions were well explained. The staff was really great at explaining what was happening and super friendly.

We had a great experience here after our dogs got into it with a muskrat. From the front desk, to the technicians, to the vet everyone was wonderful. I have not had customer service like this in a long time. Thank you to all of the staff at Blue Pearl.

I left town and forgot insulin syringes for my dog. This group was happy to give me two syringes to get me through the night/morning doses. You saved me A LOT of trouble and you were so friendly to me. Thank you!

Two summers ago, our elderly cat Lexington experienced a neurological issue (most likely a stroke) which brought us to one other emergency vet before this one, and we were directed here as it was one of the clinics with neurologists available on an emergent basis. Even though our situation was stressful, the staff here was nothing but professional, patient, and kind, and walked us through every one of our options without making us feel pressured into a decision. They made us feel comfortable and supported in all of our options. Other emergency vets that I have personally been to with Lexington and with other animals have sometimes made us feel rushed into a decision or have made us feel pressured into medications and tests that they couldn't or didn't fully explain why they were necessary. Since the original incident and subsequent treatment and evaluation at Blue Pearl, our cat has made almost a complete recovery (admittedly mostly on his own with some basic help from us). Based on how positive of an experience we had here with Lexington, I brought my dog in recently when he was experiencing some acute intestinal distress. I was again extremely impressed with how patient and kind the staff are, not only when answering questions and providing information in a way that makes sense in layman's terms, but also in offering their professional opinion within the context of the situation. Their prices are of course higher for both the exams and the tests but you are getting what you pay for: expertise veterinary advice and evaluation within a few hours of the initial intake. Both of my experiences here have been nothing but positive, reassuring, and knowledgeable while still being considerate of each patient and their family, which is exactly what I look for from an e-vet. It is a bit of a drive for us but I would make the trek 100 times over for our animals to be in as good of hands as theirs.

Our dog became very ill while we were out of town and our young adult daughter was watching him. Our home vet referred us, on a Saturday, and my daughter took our beagle in to the Eden Prairie ER. As we drove home, Dr. Clark consulted with us on the phone. The news for our beagle was not good. We requested comfort and care until we could all be with our dog. Dr. Clark and the staff were all so kind and responsive in our sad situation. I can not say enough about how Dr. Clark handled everything and provided comfort care for our beagle until we made it back to Minnesota. Saying goodbye is so very hard. Having confidence in all that was provided to our dog and our family made a world of difference. With gratitude to Dr. Clark I submit this review.

I had a good experience here! Everyone was patient and kind! They saw my dog Deuce last Sunday night. He was having abdominal pain! I had limited income at the time and I never felt judged. We did what we could with what I had at that time. The next day we saw our vet back home. Come to find out he had mass on his spleen! He had his spleen removed and is recovering great! Thank you for what you did for me the night I came to you guys! Thanks for having the passion to help animals and the community! I know from experience, people in this field are not in it for the money, considering you don’t get paid much. Especially the techs! Everyone remember to be nice to these people. They do what they can! Research compassion fatigue. It’s a real thing. Show these hard workers kindness please! ❤️

Very happy with this location and there services.
The parents dog needed a specialist to figure out puppy health, and was able to on first visit.
Since then: puppy is doing so much better.
Months before that visit: gf took my dog in and was able to get issues resolved first visit as well.
BluePearl: keep doing great work. Will be back if anything ever comes up as well as will let's others know how good your company and its services are!

They got me and my puppy in when the other 20 places were at max capacity. It was a smooth and easy interaction. They informed me of everything I needed to know, guided me through the process of contacting the pet poison control team, and updated me as I waited for answers and solutions about my puppy.

At 9 pm my poor cat Gus was bleeding everywhere, we were referred to blue pearl by our vet in town. We were told to pack him up and they’d see him as soon as we got there (about 45 minute drive). I maybe waited 2 minutes before he was checked in and getting triaged. By 12:30 I was good to head back to go get him. The staff were wonderful, patient, and kind to Gus and myself. I’m from out of state and his last emergency vet bill was $700 and we had to wait two days so we were very happy when we were able to receive EMERGENCY care immediately for $430 total with medication and everything he might need. Thank you!

Didn't even bring my dog in this particular instance...BUT talked to Molly over the phone as to whether or not I should, after symptoms. She was extremely sympathetic to the situation, and listened to everything I had to say! She gave her advice and assured me clinic was always there if any of my pup's symptoms changed. What a wonderful first impression! I'll be sure to keep this place in mind if anything ever comes up again (although of course we hope it won't!) :)

my cat rayne got hit by a car last night around 1AM and by 1:45 we were rushing her to this hospital and right now she is doing well but the palate is split and she has a bleeding eye. for now she is doing well and thank you to everyone there that saved her from bleeding out ❤️❤️

I just want to say I called there And spoke with Trish She was an angel And gave me all the information I could have ever wanted And told me if I needed anything Feel free to call me back thank you for your kindness👍 …

Had to take my dog in for an injury, and I had the best experience! The staff was kind, communicative, helpful, and took great care of my dog while he was here. If you are in a pet emergency, this is definitely the place to go! They made me feel at ease and I had a really pleasant experience.

This review is for Dr. Jackson. My little Maltese ended up needing bilateral luxating patella surgery and I was so anxious. I trusted Dr. Jackson immediately (I was actually able to come in and meet him during the consult) and he took great care of Dennis. He was great with follow up and was able to help us with a complication that was out of his control. I would recommend Dr. Jackson to everyone. The only negative experience was when we had a horrible care coordinator initially who didn’t follow through with anything that she said she was going to do. Once we got a new care coordinator, everyone was wonderful, including the emergency staff since we had to call there to check in on him during his overnight stay and due to not being able to go in. All of the vet techs that I was able to talk to knew my dog and gave me specific information regarding how he was doing.

My beautiful pup had to go in last night for a really bad allergic reaction THE TECH WAS AMAZING I wish I would have caught her name she treated my baby so well !
The Dr was so KIND and friendly was complementing my 🐶 while explaining everything to us I can’t thank you guys enough for being so good to my puppy!
If you want a trustworthy team to take good care of your baby BluePearl is the place to go!

We brought our cat, Bamboo, to BluePearl the other night to be put down because he was sick with leukemia. The staff there were truly incredible with helping us during a tough decision. Mackenzie and Dr. Horton were very sympathetic and were doing their absolute best with our poor kitty. They really cared for us and for our cat and we cannot thank them enough for making this experience a little less painful.
Mary Pascoe
Our kitty has crystals in his bladder and after our vets hours, we thought he may be blocked. Within an hour of my initial call, he was triaged and we found he was not blocked. The staff was up front and honest with pricing, kind, knowledgeable and attentive. Thank you BluePearl. I hope we dont have to use emergency again (poor kitty), but if we do we will be coming to you! Thank you

We had an emergent situation with our 8 year old lab Cinder. We had went to the U of Iowa first but time was of the essence and needed an MRI fast if it was a disc issue. The university did not have a technician on hand so we had to drive an additional 3 hours to here. Right away in the morning the doctor; a vet neurologist (I’ll edit my review if I can think of the doctors name) evaluated our girl. She called me; she was so kind, knowledgeable with her skill and explained everything very clearly to us. Even though we lost our dog yesterday due to the most probable diagnosis of cancer; I greatly appreciated the care she received, the kind words from the doctor. The doctor was very honest; she said we could have done additional tests but prognosis was still poor. The cost of what was needed to be additionally done was very substantial. It’s hard to know how we could have afforded that if we had to do it but none the less they were honest and told us it wasn’t worth it. I’m giving 5 stars because I feel the care was amazing. The cost is steep; and I would imagine other places are too; but at the end of the day I would have done or tried to figure it out if it was needed and could have saved her. 💛

The BluePearl pet hospital is 2nd to none! They have such wonderful, sweet and well trained staff! I couldn't be more happy with the service they provided to our dog and us. They really take the time with each client and make them feel as if your animal is in the best hands possible. They promptly kept us updated even though they are so busy and dealing with so much. What a wonderful and professional establishment! Keep up they great work and service BluePearl! You guy's are great!

5 stars for Dr. Holm, who instead of taking advantage of a frantic pet parent’s urge to help their pets ASAP, talked me through other options when her price quote was unaffordable for me. She recommended another animal hospital down the road that has lower cost / lower income options which will save me over $1k at least.
4 stars for promptness.
2 stars for the $330 price for just an hour visit and some calming meds (which I guess is standard for most emergency services but still feels very steep).

I had to bring in my dog in due to major neurological issues. The staff on the emergency side did their best to help me. The nerology Vet who handled his case was amazing. She rushed him in to be seen right away even though he had a full schedule. They explained everything about potential care, treatment and outcome to me. I needed to put my pup down to save him from further pain. I expressed that quality of life was important and they took care with me and my dog. They let me say goodbye to him in person and they were caring, empathetic and knowledgeable. I hope I never have to bring a pet to an emergency room again. However, I will use this business in the future if I need to. Thank you to the staff!!

I had to rush my senior girl to the vet; I thought it was heart related & I was losing her. The locations closest to me were full, so I was in full panic mode having to drive 40 minutes with a sick dog. The person I spoke to as we were enroute was calm & handled it perfectly. The triage nurse saw her fairly quickly & assured me she was stable. Yes, it was a long wait time for the Vet to see her; they are so overwhelmed & have to prioritize cases, but they communicated with me clearly about each step & wait time. The entire staff was amazing with me & with my stressed out girl. The Dr. discovered something going on with her spine, which was related to numerous symptoms I'd been trying to get diagnosed since December. I was able to get her in to her regular vet for further tests & sure enough, she has Spondylosis. I'm forever grateful to the Vet for finally pointing us in the right direction. She's now on a treatment plan that has already improved the quality of her life, and is no longer suffering in pain she'd been disguising for months.

My male cat has a urethra blockage and brought him in quickly. It is an expensive place, no fault to them as it is an emergency vet. The staff were very friendly, so a great job keeping you in the loop (even with COVID restrictions), very informative and explain everything to you, and are very honest with what is important and what is elective. I knew exactly what was happening with my cat at all times which does help with peace of mind. They even sent a picture of my cat via text as my cat had to stay over night.
I highly recommend if your pet ever needs such a place.

We had an emergency where our puppy (who has intestinal issues) swallowed pieces of a tennis ball and needed immediate help.
Due to demand that night, BluePearl was trying to not accept any more patients to give proper care and attention to the admitted animals.
However, they were willing to make an exception for us as no other nearby clinics were available, and could sense the urgency of our situation.
This type of genuine care for animals (and the animal's owners) is all you could ever ask for. The staff was clear, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire experience. Thank you for everything!
Mercedes Miller
Phone was answered promptly and gauging emergent/urgent vs. monitor my pups situation was a huge relief. I was texted a list of urgent care facilities in case the situation changes. Thank you!

I was referred here in June after a foreign object was found via x-ray in my 1 year old dogs' intestines, at my routine vet. He was admitted to emergency hospitalization and had surgery the next day to remove the foreign object. He stayed a couple more nights to ensure he was recovering properly. I felt safe with him there since they sent me photo updates every now and then, and said I could call anytime I wanted to hear how he was doing. I did call a couple times, and each time they took the time to read his report and actually go see how he was doing, which I really appreciated. I felt the communication throughout the experience was excellent. Overall the costs were so high that I couldn't afford them upfront, but they recommended I check out "Care Credit", a credit card specifically for situations like this. It was very easy to set up the credit card and I now make monthly payments. I would recommend this hospital to any pet owner.

My dog, Hazel, was hit by a car Friday evening (1-11-2021). My husband was 6 hours away on a fishing trip. I called 4 vet facilities before I found one that could accommodate her injuries, which was Blue Pearl. I’m in awe that my dog is alive to this day!! They did absolutely EVERYTHING needed to save her life! She suffered massive internal injuries. I was preparing how to tell my children that our family dog wasn’t coming home... Blue Pearl made it happen that she did! They were my miracle! There aren’t even words to say how grateful I am for their continuous care and reassurance! I could call at any time to check on her status, and they were extremely understanding and completely empathetic! Those are positive aspects, but THEY SAVED MY DOGS LIFE! We were able to bring her home the following Monday. 🙌. I honestly didn’t think I’d see her again 😔. If you are EVER in dire need of care for an animal you love.... these ARE THE PEOPLE!

We just wanted to thank the doctors and staff of Blue Pearl for giving us back the Sadie we know and love. They brought her back from crisis mode after her dastardly humans took her to her vet's kenneling service. Nothing against the service - they were great - but Sadie had never experienced that before. It was bad timing between treating her to avoid kidney disease and potentially discovering an infection combined with severe separation anxiety. She was a shadow of her former self: not eating, incontinent, mild lethargy. She wanted to eat, was interested, but also afraid of it. In conjunction with our own doctor at New Hope Animal Hospital - who treated Sadie's renal issues with a blood Pressure med, the doctors at Blue Pearl diagnosed an infection that was quickly treated and helped Sadie get her appetite back. We have more medications than we have given any one cat at any one time ever, but Sadie is lively again - as lively as a 16 year-old cat can be - and she's nagging me about food again, eating AND keeping it down. The goal now is to get that pound back, and find a good cat sitter to come into the house for our next big vacation. We lost my cat, Simon, to nasal adinocarcinoma in January of 2020. We were not ready to lose Sadie. Not yet. Thank you again for bringing "My Sadie" back and making my sister Karen so very happy

Great experience with Blue Pearl. Of course it's late on Friday night when I realize that my cat seems off enough to be of concern. I verify that Blue Pearl is the emergency vet in town these days and call three of their locations - one tells me they don't have all the equipment I might need based on my concerns for my cat (thought he might have a flare of of pancreatitis), the next says the wait is up to 5 hours, but the last says they are full for the night at this time - so back to #2 which is Eden Prairie. I call them back as I head over and get the chart started, figuring I may have to spend 5 hours in my car, but better to know at the start. The staff person was very friendly and thorough, getting all our infomation entered and giving me the necessary instructions. I arrived at the location and called to let them know I was there and they called me back to bring him up to the door within minutes. Very shortly thereafter I got a text letting me know that his vitals were good and that he would likely be seen by the doctor in the next 1-2 hours and that I did not need to stay in their lot as long as I was available by phone. I headed home (15 minute drive) and as I had been driving for about 10 minutes, my phone rang, and it was the doctor! I filled her in on his history and what had precipitated my visit - and she listened carefully, then described her plan of attack based on that information. I asked about one more type of medication and she gave a well considered answer. She then clearly described he type of result we hoped for and the signs I should look for that would indicate that I needed to bring him back in after she released him to me (which would be shortly). I felt really confident that she understood the situation and about her plan for Oliver. I turned around and went back, arrived to find a text from Blue Pearl with my total and an option to pay online, then called to let them know I had arrived, and they brought Oiver out with meds and written instructions minutes later. All told I think I was back home in less than 2.5 hours from determining that I needed to take him in (could have been less, I didn't pay strict attention to what time we got going). I am very pleased with the service, and my bill was under $400, which honestly, isn't out of keeping with what I pay for a regular vet visit these days, and certainly worth my peace of mind and for the high level of service I received. I will feel confident using Blue Pearl again in the future and recommending them to others.

They told me that it could be about five hours before the doctor had a chance to see my cat. Instead, I think that we were in and out in less than three. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have their COVID protocols down to a science. They were very upfront about costs, and I ended up paying less than I had expected. The discharge instructions were also really clear, which I really appreciated.

My experience with BluePearl was wonderful. My dog was lethargic and was having trouble standing. I had an after hours emergency visit with my local vet, who couldn’t find anything wrong from their preliminary testing. They referred me to BluePearl, and they luckily had an opening.
Upon arrival, my dog was seen immediately, and the vet on duty (I can’t remember his name) was absolutely lovely. He made me feel safe, helped calm my worries, and made sure I knew my dog was safe. He didn’t suggest unnecessary tests, especially since my dog was happy to be there and running around like she hadn’t been lethargic and woozy an hour before.
I am more than happy with the care we received. Thank you so much.

Amazing 24/7 pet clinic. They saved our puppy’s life that has an illness. Amazing staff who is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I would recommend them to anyone, and they are now my number one place for pet emergency!
Yes you have to wait a little bit but what do you expect? You are coming in without an appointment just like everyone else.

My (2) 13 week old Lab puppies got into my roommates sleeping pills, and we were both obviously freaked out. We found out about the BluePearl Pet Hospital, and when I walked in, they accepted both dogs without even asking for any kind of payment. I wasn't able to make the balance in full at the time of the service, but they were caring enough that they wanted to make sure my dogs were healthy first, and getting paid second.
The entire staff was kind and friendly, and they knew I was going out of my head with worry over my pups. They treated both animals with prompt attention, showed me respect, and showed genuine concern that they would both be safe.
I was able to set up a payment plan, and have paid the hospital off in full. The fact that I was sure I wouldn't have enough money on hand to cover the visit was a second concern to them. Their first concern was making sure my dogs would be all right.
While I pray both of my dogs have a healthy 12-14 year life span, dogs will be dogs, and they'll get in to things that are going to make them sick, and while I'm in Saint Paul (which is a hike!), I will never hesitate to bring them here. These people are the BEST! I can't thank the entire staff enough - THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WORKS THERE WITH ALL MY HEART!!!

These folks are professional, informative, quick, and reliable. Could not have asked for a better experience. Our male cat had bladder crystals which are life threatening. BluePearl got him in, performed the treatment, and got him out within approx. 4 hours. Molly was especially delightful on the phone and was a true partner in the process. I'd recommend BluePearl until my face turns blue!

I am incredibly grateful for this clinic. My dog got her collar stuck on our fence and nearly suffocated. It was after hours for our usual vet so we were referred here. As concerned parents we brought her in to have her checked out. With covid we couldn’t go in with our pup. I was worried I would have no idea what was happening. Within minutes of her being in the clinic they called to give us an update. They were very clear on what was going to happen next as part of her care. The vet checked her out and called us to share his findings. During the 1.5 hours she was there they called us 4 times to keep us informed. Really great service and I felt reassured and informed even though we couldn’t be there in person. We haven’t had to bring our dog to after hours care before but I had heard how much others have spent for the emergency services. I was pleasantly surprised by our bill- I expected it to be higher than it was. Thank you to the entire team who took care of Winnie.

Last Sunday, Aug; 15, the folks at the BluePearl emergency vet helped our beloved kitty, Stella, cross the Rainbow Bridge. Despite the circumstances, we were EXTREMELY happy with the service we received and the way we were treated. We called ahead and the process, including the COVID precautions the clinic is taking, were explained to us in detail. We didn't experience a long wait once we arrived (=less than 30 minutes) and were allowed in and were able to be with Stella at the end.
This wasn't our first visit to the BluePearl Pet Hospital, nor was it the first time they've helped us with a euthanasia for one of our fur babies. The treatment our pets and we have received over the years is reliably phenomenal, even in the most stressful situations. I can't recommend BluePearl enough.

First time there, a Thursday evening around 7:30. We were seen within 10 minutes. I was impressed with the place itself (the building and cleanliness and it was just a welcoming and inviting atmosphere), and I was impressed with the vet we saw and the tech. We sadly ended up having to put our 17 year old cat down that night, unexpectedly. The vet was VERY informative about all the options, the costs of each option, his thoughts on what might be wrong, etc. When we made the horribly sad decision to put him down, the vet was accommodating, let us sit in a comfortable room with him for as long as we wanted, and also let us stay with him after he was gone as well. Which I loved. Being able to hold him for a while to just let it all out was very healing. One thing I loved that they did was put an IV line in his arm before bringing him to the "comfort room" so when the time came to give him the shots, I could just keep him in my arms and we didn't have to stress him out in his last moments by sticking him with more needles. It was a calm and beautiful way to see him go. AND, 4 days later I received a hand written card from the vet with his condolences. Which I would expect from my regular vet, but not from an emergency vet who had only seen and treated him once.
Overall, 100% satisfied with this place! I'm comforted knowing they are close, convenient, 24 hours, and have good people there. Hoping I never need to go back (have 2 little puppies currently), but if I need to, I will fell confident going here!

I can't say enough positive things about this hospital. Two weeks ago, my dog had internal bleeding and needed a blood transfusion and surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Without the compassionate and skilled staff, Quinn would have died. They gave her a transfusion immediately and the surgery was done the next day. The doctors, especially the surgeon, Dr. Kalamaras, kept me posted every step of the way and were patient and thorough in their explanations. Because they are open 24/7, I was able to call and check on my pup anytime of the day or night. Whenever I called, they immediately found a doc or tech to update me on Quinn's progress. Although I tried to call only a couple of times a day, I'm sure that they were receiving inquiries from worried pet parents constantly. They never made me feel like I was bothering them or made me wait or asked me to call back. Quinn is almost back to her old self and I am forever grateful.

My dog was acting very off. There were no regular appointments available last minute anywhere, so I decided to bring my dog here. My dog got her vitals taken on arrival and when we decided to admit her, she had to wait 4 hours to be seen by a Doctor (probably normal for an emergency hospital). After Dr. Moore initially saw my dog, she called right away with updates, and an hour after that, she had the answer to what was wrong. My dog was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and after reading more about it, it can take years for dogs to get diagnosed by vets. So not only was I impressed by Dr. Moore's compassion and ability to explain things thoroughly to a terrified dog owner, but her knowledge when it came time to diagnosing my dog. My complaint is that my dog was sent home with almost the exact same (dangerous) blood values as when she came in. And the medicine she supposedly got lasts 28 days. 10 days later her blood work was even worse and more dangerous. There’s speculation wether she even got the correct medicine during her overnight stay. There’s no way to prove if they made a mistake or gave her expired medicine but that costed me another ER visit elsewhere.

I have used other Twin Cities veterinarian ophthalmologists in the past, and Dr Trumble is the greatest! Gus woke up blind one morning, and with their diagnosis and continued care, he now has adequate vision that has remained stable for over a year

Cat needed emergency surgery. They took really good care of her. Called with frequent updates, let me know how she was doing, kept me up to date and informed every step of the way.
These doctors really do care! Because of them my kitty is now home and happy!

Awesome team of doctors and great communication/compassionate care. I was kept up-to-date throughout my cat's diagnosis and treatment and given lots of options and information at each step. Highly recommend this hospital, and will take my future pets here when they need medical care.

We brought our 10 yr. old German Shepherd Belle in, never thinking she would not come home with us. Dr. Kayla Moore is the best doctor and she was so supportive. Dr. Moore took a lot of time with us and once Belle's diagnoses came in she was so sweet and explained everything in great detail. The staff was very supportive and understanding. Other reviewers talk about cost, I guess when your dealing with the illness of a loved pet you want the best care and that is what you will get from BluePearl.

We brought our 14 year old cat here for "back there" issues. They were so hospitable and so nice I can't even put into words. We brought him home and wouldn't ya know it...a cone and 14 days later we still have Oscar! Thank you all for all you did for out kitty cat!!!

I was absolutely blown away with the care my dog recieved today. They treated him as if he were their own. We saw the dental specialist, Dr. Hansen for an urgent procedure and she was fantastic along with her tech! On top of that, my dog had a small cyst on his back that I mentioned because he was going to be put under, fully expecting and understanding they likely wouldn't be able to remove it. They did it without hesitation. I was also expecting an astronomical bill and the price was incredibly reasonable. While I hope my dog will not need a specialist again in the future, if he does, I will absolutely be going to BluePearl.

Brought in my 13 year old ACD twice in one night, the staff was very kind and helpful with discussing options and when the time came to put her to sleep, they were incredibly kind, and made the experience as easy as possible.
I think the prices are fair (but we also have insurance for our pets, if you do not, you should think about it), and the staff was knowledgeable and very sincere, during a very difficult time.
I would not hesitate to bring our other dog there, they do great work and seem to love their jobs (which at 2am, is not always easy to convey).

The vet we spoke to was super informative and helped us relax about the situation with our sweet little puppy. The vet that referred us here scared the heck out of us, but they did a good job of making sure she was healthy while also caring about the money we would need to spend if we were considering the worst-case scenario. They even called us the next day to make sure she was still doing well, which was amazing!
Thank you so much guys! Will definitely come back in the future if we have any more problems.
Hanna Gilsvik
So grateful to BluePearl for getting my dog, Prince, in for emergency throat abscess surgery same day. They were very kind and provided helpful discharge paperwork and instructions. Prince healed very quickly and is back to his old happy self. Would definitely go here again (but hopefully won't need to!) for any future dog emergencies. Thank you for saving my dog, BluePearl! Very grateful to you.

I discovered Blue Pearl several years ago after several other vets mis-diagnosed my dog. We have used Blue Pearl ever since for any major issues that have come up and always for emergency care. The entire staff has always been wonderful. Such compassion for my fur babies. The price is higher than other vets but so far it's been worth it every time. Highly recommend them.

I first went to Blue Pearl after I discovered a mass growing inside of my cat's cheek. Blue Pearl was so efficient. I dropped Ricky off for an emergency visit. The ER vet consulted with the oral surgeon vet on his mass while we were on the line. Ricky underwent surgery to remove the mass and pull 2 teeth early afternoon that same day. The staff called and provided frequent updates on the surgery outcome. They immediately sent the mass to a Pathologist to determine if the mass was cancerous or not. We were able to pick Ricky up later that same afternoon. About one week later the Pathologist confirmed the mass was non-cancerous. Blue Pearl provided a very detailed and well-done report on the surgery, findings, what was done. I was very impressed with Blue Pearl's speed and efficiency. The vets really know what they are doing. I thought the cost was reasonable considering all that was done. Ricky is now back to normal and as happy as ever. I would highly recommend Blue Pearl.

We were referred to BluePearl immediately following a visit at an urgent care clinic with a very, very sick dog. They were able to get us in quickly due to the urgent need of our pet who was suffering from a severe double kidney infection among other things that came on very quickly and she was rapidly declining in health. Our pup ended up spending three nights, and we were provided great communication via morning updates and any time we called.
It was incredibly expensive, but that is to be expected from an emergency/specialty only vet. They explained any questions we had and provided us thorough documentation about
all of the charges.
Thank you to the the doctors and vet techs that took care of Lucy while she was there. One of the vet techs even had a picture to show us of her cuddled up in her bed with her many blankets, and it was great to know that she was comfortable while she was there. We brought our dog home today thanks to their care.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Holm and the staff. Our dog ate pizza dough. We went to bed and didn't realize how bad that was for dogs. Woke at 5:00am to him puking and drunk. Called our vet who was closed and on their answering machine said to call BluePearl. Called, got him in. They treated the alcohol in his system and the dough in his stomach. I paid for overnight care but he was recovering faster than expected. Dr Holm called me and said he was no longer clinical. They would keep him overnight or I can save money and bring him home. We ran and grabbed him early. They treated him really well and provided amazing care.
PSA yeast and raw dough is very serious if a dog eats, ensure its 100% out if reach.

We were travelling interstate when our dog developed some vague digestive issues. While he was not critical we were looking for piece of mind after 5 days of him being not himself and disrupted eating (which is very unusual) and illness. We came to the clinic based on a friend's recommendation and it was a stellar experience. The whole staff were professional, had great expertise and 'bedside manner'. They managed our large dog well and gave us the peace of mind we were looking for without going overboard on tests. It was a great experience and while everyone thinks it's always expensive to see the vet and have X-Rays, the price we paid was worth the peace of mind we got and matched the expertise and service we received i.e. a service worth paying for.

Our kitten had broken its front leg (humerus) and our vet in Prior Lake had recommended Blue Pearl. The three options given were 1) orthopedic surgery with pins to set the break (cost $5k) 2) amputation ($1k) 3) set splint ($500). My wife was highly encouraged to select surgery, despite this my wife elected to splint (option two was not an option). Thank goodness our kitten healed fine even with just the cast. Overall, I feel the clinic could have been a little less driven to perform the more lucrative surgery and more open to splinting.

My primary veterinarian referred my beloved fur baby to BluePearl due to horrid gingivitis and possible mouth cancer. We schedule our initial visit and surgery to be the same day. During our consultation I immediately felt the deep love and passion this staff has for pets. Both the technician and the Dr. were patient with my cat and very loving. I never felt that they were rushing through the exam or missing anything important.
Dr. Donnell was super informative about the types of mouth disease my cat could have. She pulled out her white board and marker and taught me about each one. She talked about the seriousness of possible cancer, but reassured me that Pekoe was in good hands. Her staff pulled estimates for the procedure and held off on certain ones until they felt it was absolutely necessary. I appreciated their honesty and efforts to keep the cost as low as possible.
When I left, although very anxious about my baby, I felt completely comforted that Pekoe was with people who loved him as much as I did. The staff unfortunately (but thankfully) noticed that Pekoe had a heart murmur, and after additional tests, diagnosed him with heart disease. This was caught due to the thorough investigating they did prior to putting him under anesthesia for his dental work. They felt confident to move forward with the procedure and called me every step of the way throughout the day.
The communication with this company alone is what blew me away. They called me about 6 times throughout Pekoe's time there. Each time was with new discoveries and/or updates on his vitals during surgery and after. I never once felt out of the loop or scared for my cat's well-being. When I went to pick up Pekoe that same day, Dr. Donnell took the time to go through every single item she found and even showed me xrays of each tooth she removed. She explained his newly found heart disease and what that meant for our future and helped me understand the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Being that BluePearl has so many specialists available, even with all the unexpected news, we were able to go through this entire journey all in the same day. Although finding out he now has heart disease was not what I came in here expecting, I am hopeful for the future knowing that they will be with us every step of the way. Thank you Dr. Donnell, to you and your staff!

Our little puppy was sick and lethargic, she was on the verge of pneumonia. The staff was unbelievably open and kind during the ordeal, the doctor was knowledgeable and sincere, they were determined to give her the care she needed but were also 100% open to working with our financial situation. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The caring people at Blue Pearl are literally some of the most compassionate and understanding people I've ever met in my life. I really feel lucky having such an amazing resource available to me when I need it most and knowing that I can truly trust the people caring for something I hold so dear. I'd bet anyone they couldn't find a better facility for pets in the world when it comes to the people they have working for them.
I brought my cat Thor in for what turned out to be a blood clot in his leg. Of course, this was Sunday at 9PM when he started presenting with symptoms, so Blue Pearl was the only place even open. His situation was quickly assessed and options were presented as to how we could proceed and, of course, the costs associated with those actions. I had no idea how much his care would have cost elsewhere but given my only other choice at the time was inaction, I chose to have him treated immediately and have more scans done to better understand the full scope of the situation.
Long story short, this is a pretty serious condition (heart disease being the main cause of clots) with an absolutely massive range of potential outcomes. The one thing that is for certain is the outpatient treatment is extreme; 3 injections per day of blood thinners and 3 medications at various hours of the day for other purposes. Before this experience I had never given an injection in my life, so to say that I was pretty freaked out by the whole thing is an extreme understatement.
I must have called 20 times frantically trying to grasp at any advice I could get to help us get through this and never once was I ever treated without respect, sympathy, or kindness. No matter my question, every person I talked to responded like it was their own animal I was caring for and they really wanted to see me succeed.
I'm happy to say my little buddy is doing great now, and we're getting through this thing. I don't know what the future holds for us but I do know that this facility and the people who work at it are to thank for every day he has left.
That said, this was a pretty expensive process. I doubt any medical emergency has ever been "cheap" and I have literally no basis for comparison, but that's the nature of the business for you. It is at this point I need to say that I was never surprised by cost; they are very up front here and give you every option to save if you must. Do not be afraid to get their opinion at least, it's worth every penny.
Travis B.
I can't attest to their service itself. I can't attest to the pricing beyond $183 fee up front to see your pet. I can say, however, that when I talked to them with an issue that to a new owner seemed serious, they told me to just monitor her and see if a couple other symptoms arise before coming in. They could have just told me to come in and collect the $183 plus whatever tests and treatments they are going to do, but they didn't. I can't give it five because I have not and hopefully will not need to go, but I will give it four because somebody cares about the animals and the owner enough not to get me to pay them this time.
Christina
We visited Blue Pearl in July to try to get answers for what made our dog so sick so suddenly. Although we got the worst news the staff was really great. We had two great technicians who loved our dog and our dog loved them back. Dr. Teichner was knowledgeable and came up with a solid plan to get us answers. It was also appreciated that once we got our news they got our dog back to us quickly and checked us out promptly because I just wanted to get home. I would go back to this clinic they have everything on site and several specialties to get answers quickly. We got what we needed in just a few hours.
Erin Eliason
We received great care for our cat here. They saw us quickly on a busy, Friday night, and provided us with everything we needed: pain medication, antibiotics, and after-care instructions. Would recommend.

Blue Pearl has always been here when we need them. They have helped me with multiple pets through various ailments. To the poor reviews and the impatient other owners I have seen when I am there, you have to think of emergency vets exactly the same as emergency rooms for humans. You cannot expect to be seen for an ear infection immediately when there are patients who are critical. Their job is to triage and that’s exactly what they do.
As for prices, of course it’s expensive. It’s an emergency room. They will always show you an estimate before treatment, which you can approve or deny. There are never any surprises.
If you have your expectations in line, this facility is filled with knowledgeable and educated group of vets and vet techs. I will always go here when my pets are in need.

My dog swallowed part of a toy! My usual vet directed me here. With a phone call they helped me assess his Condition prior to bringing him in. To see if it was necessary. After a while they told me to bring him it was about 11 o'clock on Saturday night. It was about an hour drive. But once I got theremy dog received such good care. I was a ball or nerves! The bill at the end didnt even phase me because it was worth it! I wanted to hug the doctor!!they got the toy out!! I could have peice of mind finally! Thank you to the whole team that night!!

Last month we had a very big scare with our 7 month old Boxer Shirley. We ended up at the ER twice and vet three times. The final diagnosis was Steroid responsive meningitis. We spent but were told with her symptoms that’s what it was. We were not pressured to do any extra testing because of her symptoms aligning with SRMA. They started her on steroids, and sent her home. Before the steroids kicked in she was in pain and the vet immediately put in a script for her. It was hard few days of trying to figure out what was going on but I appreciate BP for getting her in to be seen both times. Shirley is getting better and we are seeing her perk again. Thanks to her vet and Blue Pearl.

I've never brought my dog to an emergency veterinarian before. My dog was treated like I treat him (a fur baby.) Lucia was my tech and I was pleasantly surprised that she talked to him in such a sweet manner and loving. I could tell right off the bat I brought him to the right place. He wasn't treated like a number! Dr. Moore was also very gentle and thorough. Hopefully I'll never need to bring him here again but if I do I know he'll be in good hands. Thank you!

We brought in my cat for a bladder obstruction this week. The vet and staff at Blue Pearl were wonderful. They explained all of the options very matter of factly and took our finances into consideration without judgement. 2 days later, we had the same issue come back and had to make the incredibly difficult decision to put him down due to continuing bladder obstruction and his age. The staff at Blue Pearl was so caring. Due to Covid we were unable to be with him during the process. One of the staff members assured me she would be with him when it happened and gave us hugs. They also let us know exactly what was going to happen. They made sure we were taken care of during this difficult time. They also sent us a card this week which was so thoughtful. The staff truly showed how much they cared in one of the most stressful nights of my life. There is a hole in our family right now and we so appreciate everything Blue Pearl did for us to make it as easy on us as possible. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I had the unfortunate experience of my 6 year old cat suddenly passing away last week around midnight. I rushed him to the emergency vet but he was already gone. Everyone at BluePearl was extremely wonderful to me. I was an absolute mess when I came in with my decreased kitty but the front staff consoled me and made the difficult process easier. They immediately tried reviving him and when he was confirmed as passed, I was given as much time as I needed in a room to say goodbye and everyone was just so understanding. I am so devastated about losing my little buddy but I'm glad the staff of BluePearl was there for me during this hard time. I can not think them enough for their courtesy and care.

I cannot stop raving about the care I have recieved here. My vet tech Brian was AMAZING with my huge anxious dog and so patient when we had many issues filling medications. He was in contact with me for two hours helping me take the steps I needed to for my dog. Dr. Gale was equally as amazing and listened to my concerns and worked WITH ME for a treatment plan. I was so stressed out and it was right after the holidays and every single staff member was beyond kind and helpful. I 10/10 recommend this place for every pets care I am so beyond happy and grateful to them!!!

I'm very impressed with the care and service that BluePearl provides. The staff at the Eden Prairie and Blaine locations are competent, caring, knowledgeable, and responsive. Our dog had major surgery and they were careful to explain the options, procedure, and aftercare. I've called them and emailed them with questions and photos and they've responded quickly and kindly. They treated our dog very well and I highly recommend BluePearl.

My dog got into a bottle of ibuprofen one night last week and we found ourselves in need of an after hours emergency vet. I really can't say enough good things about my experience with Blue Pearl. Yes, it's expensive, but I didn't feel they recommended or tried to pressure me into anything that wasn't necessary. They even refunded some of my money when I went to pick him up because they hadn't ended up needing to do everything they'd originally quoted me for. Everyone was knowledgeable, professional, and kind--to both me and my pet--and communication while he was under their care was regular and excellent.
I hope you never find yourself in need of an emergency vet, but if you do--go to Blue Pearl.
Ashley Morrison
I could not be any happier with Blue Pearl, I wish they were an every day vet!! Dr. Moore called me and explained every little detail with me, so much to calm me down, a crazy dog mom!! They treated him so well when we picked him up he was so happy. The knowledge of the staff, kindness, and respect they show is exactly what you hope for bringing your pet into an emergency clinic. Highly highly recommend! (Picture was the night before he went in)

They were very caring and courteous when I needed help from their neurology team with my dog, Vinny. They were able to fit me in earlier than anticipated, and were wonderful to discuss their findings after exam and diagnostics so we could agree together on the best plan for my dog going forward. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Wonderful place, they were able to get my Sootsy seen urgently by the ophthalmologist quickly. Every other office I called it was weeks to get her seen. I thought she was going to lose her eye and they did a ultrasound and thorough exam and found her condition can be managed with eye drops and frequent follow up. We were expecting a huge bill and surgery to remove her eye. They were warm and friendly and explained everything and were sweet to my little girl. I would highly recommend this place they are amazing and care very much about your pet and also the owners.

The BluePearl team in Eden Prairie has some angels on it. Though they were busy, they agreed to take in my two tiny kittens who had gotten into a toxic substance. As a brand new kitty mama I was devastated, and the experience I received at BluePearl felt nothing short of a Godsend. They even sent me photos of my kitties sleeping with the caption “sleeping like perfect angels,” it was a beacon of hope in the middle of a grueling shift at work and brought tears to my eyes. I wish I knew all the names of the many people who helped and assured me while my kitties recovered so I could thank you all personally, but I know one of your names was Zach - so thank you Zach and BluePearl team for carrying me through a nightmare and out to the other side. The truest comfort I felt during this awful ordeal was knowing my babies were in the best hands receiving the best possible care.

I have been working with Dr. Mourning to try to save my 5 year old Border Collie. Dr. Mourning provides exceptional care to clients and owners when they are in her care AND after they have gone home. Even if we cannot save my sweet Juno, I know we had the absolute best shot with Dr. Mourning and her expertise. I will always be grateful for her.

We brought my 14 1/2 year old dog in on a Thursday evening and unfortunately she had to be put down. Everyone was so caring and assured us we could have as much time as we wanted with her. I can't say enough wonderful words about the vet, Dr. Bitu. He was so warm and comforting. He told us the options for her, affirmed our decision and made sure we had all the time we needed to say our good byes. Later, when we were ready to let her go, he tenderly gave her the injections and assured us we could stay with her until we were ready to leave. I couldn't have asked for a better end to her life.

My dog had a complicated breathing problem that had been very difficult to diagnose because it was not detectable during a usual exam and did not show up on x-ray. It required a CT scan, provided at Blue Pearl, which showed a 2 cm x 3 cm non-cancerous mass at the back of his nasal passage. In addition to finding the obstruction, they removed it surgically. My dog went from having a chronic breathing problem to being completely symptom free thanks to their skilled work. Their ability to explain what they found and what my dog needed was unsurpassed. I would not hesitate to bring any pet their in the future when emergency or specialty care was needed.

We arrived with our very sick and very loved four-legged friend. We were scared, sad, and not particularly hopeful. After a brief bit of confusion at the front desk, we were ushered into a room, and a vet gave us a very kind, simple, and compassionate explanation of our options. Cancer, unfortunately, leaves very few options... All of the staff were helpful, and extremely understanding while we were trying to make difficult end-of-life decisions. We can't thank the doctor and the triage technician enough for their diligent care.

My cat, Beau, was struggling to breathe through his nose and foaming at the mouth. I brought him into the vet at the recommendation of a walk in clinic, and I'm so glad I did. He was diagnosed as stable, and was provided antibiotics to clear up his sinuses.
I can't imagine how difficult it is to work in an emergency vet clinic, and the staff at BluePearl are SO kind and SO accommodating. Thank you so much for taking care of my buddy, you are all wonderful!

Word's can't describe the care and attentiveness the Blue Pearl team has showed my 10yr old girl and I! What started out as the worst April Fool's of all day's turned out to be the most valuable and educational experience for our family (fur babies included) 😊 What I thought was a normal heat cycle was not the case thanks to the team Zach S. and Dr. Campbell working with us in a time of great need and Frankies Friends! what started out as the "calm before the storm" could of been tragic our sweet lil happy tails is back home recovering with ease she can hardly wait to get back to her "antics" with her "lil big sissy" I can't express the importance of spaying/neutering it's truly life saving! And the team at Blue Pearl are Amazing paws down! Sincerely Sky & Family

Blue Pearl has done a great job providing emergency services and complex care for my dogs over the past several years. I have found their vets and staff to be highly competent and compassionate

My name is Volha Kazlova and I had a dog Roxy. She had a really bad tumor in her body. BluePearl receptionists, technicians, and doctors in Eden Prairie showed outstanding quality of work, compassion, and professionalism. I deeply appreciate all the work you have done for my little baby and huge support for me. You battled with me for the life of Roxy until the end and that what really touched my heart the most... I have seen nothing, but heartwarming and welcoming from every person, who I had conversation with. Great Team! Every person, who works there earned a huge respect from me. Thank you and God bless you all for your hard work.

You could not get a better team of professionals that are so devoted to the health of your beloved fur baby. Donnell Hansen, DVM, DAVDC, is so detailed in explaining possible outcomes, and is so warm and kind. Their clinic is very clean, and welcoming. I drove down from Duluth, and was well worth the drive. Betsey is also amazing, very knowledgeable and is very passionate about animals. I was kept informed every step of the way. They even called the next day to check up on my kitty, and called a few days later, as promised with biopsy results. I received an email, as well, with a copy of those results. I will forever appreciate the care they took for my April and me.

The first thing I have to say is that they were able to treat my furchild when no one else was available (on a weekend) and I can happily say that our story has a happy ending. That being said there are definitely things to know, Blue Pearl is expensive!!! Because of the cost this isn't going to be a place for everyone and somehow that just seems wrong. If you don't have the money, your pet will not be seen or treated... In my case my furchild had a serious infection and needed emergency surgery. Thankfully I could afford it but what would have likely cost around 600 at my regular vet was closer to 5000. My only real complaint was that we were in the hospital at 9am on a Saturday, an ultrasound was performed at 1pm and it took over 8 hours to get the results. At 930pm I was being told they recommended emergency surgery and my dog's condition was serious. I am thankful they were there and my furchild is okay however for something that was as serious as this the response should have been, could have been much quicker. I was given a lot of reasons the results took so long (other pets, weekend, etc...) but I could also feel the frustration of the staff by having to explain to me that all they could do was wait for the results. I'm going quote one of the staff members; "knowing this particular doctor (who did the ultrasound and needed to write the report) all they could do is wait." I do not know if it would have been more affordable if things had happened faster, who knows but it should not have taken as long as it did... The doctor who performed the surgery was great, everything went well and although we are still in the recovery process the current prognosis is a full recovery. I hope you never find the need for emergency vet services, but if you do Blue Pearl is there when you need them. I am glad they are there, I think they should be more reasonable on what they charge, but they know as well as I do that if your furchild needs medical attention if you can afford it we will do it...

I cannot thank you enough for the heart felt care that you provided, not just to my companion Diego, but also to me. I brought diego in for what I thought was going to be something acute. I was not prepared to be bringing him home on hospice that night. Dr. Horten, Jessica, and quite a few others took the time to piece through the decision with me. As an RN at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, I know what it is like to be pulled every which direction. Your staff took the time to talk with me through my decision, as I was in shock. I did not feel rushed, nor like I was a burden to them. Thank you so much for providing a listening ear, and helping me to make the decisions that were in Diego's best interest.

Blue Pearl treated Tyson with so much love and kindness. I felt comfortable leaving Tyson there knowing he was being cared for. They communicated well about his procedure and the costs. And I loved that Blue Pearl followed up the next day with a call and email to check in on Tyson and provide more information about his procedure.

Cat came in for foreign body surgery. We were scared and didn't know what to expect from reviews, but a technician recommended this and we're so glad we chose it. They are honest and upfront about fees, work hard for you and your companion, and took great care of our boy. They are very busy and sometimes are a little late with communication, but when you yourself call and inquire or ask questions they are responsive, compassionate, and thorough. Better than we hoped and they do amazing work. Thank you for what you did for our boy.

I took my dog for some additional testing and an ultrasound beyond what my normal vet could provide. Their staff were incredibly caring, took the time to make sure I understood all of my options, and were very up front/forthcoming about pricing. The services I received were not cheap, but that is to be expected with the higher level of services they provide.
Amy Mandt
The doctors and staff were kind and attentive to both myself and my pet. I felt they were thoughtful in their decision making, and how to spend my money. Overall, I am so thankful for the wonderful experience when I was so scared for my pet! I give 10 stars!!

I had recently left a negative review based on having been charged for medication and CPR performed on a cat that had been determined DOA. However, after speaking to the Practice Manager Betsy, I was refreshed by her genuine concern. Betsy was very understanding and believed the charge was probably due to a misunderstanding between the person at the front desk and the vet who saw the cat, and offered to refund the costs we were charged in error. I am very happy to amend this review based on my positive interaction with Betsy.

The staff at Blue Pearl were so kind to our little Ollie. He has an emergency bladder blockage. Because of Covid restrictions we couldn't wait with Ollie but they gave us regular updates and even sent me pics. Great humans.
Georgia Begin, Esq.
I took my dog here in the middle of the night for an urgent issue. Dr. Yantes was extremely knowledgeable and clearly explained all of our treatment options with the pros and cons of each. After discussions with him, I decided to get minimal treatment (fluids given subcutaneously) and wait another day to see if she would pass her intestinal block. It was the best decision for her and turned out to be just what she needed. I am happy to say that the next morning, she was able to eat and drink and have normal BMs - no surgery needed

Last night our Doberman experienced its first seizure. I called Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in full panic (I apologize to the person who answered my 2:30 AM panic shout-talking). The person who answered my call was calm and kind. A huge Thank You to all of the staff on duty who helped take care of our beloved family member. Thank you for the updates. Your communication is amazing. Stay safe and keep up the great work!
Chrissy Baker
I've been here several times for several pets, both cats and dogs. Yes, it can be expensive. Yes, you do have to wait sometimes (just like an ER for humans). The staff is polite and genuine. It helps if you know how to itemize and negotiate your bill. I'm just grateful they are open weekends and evenings, holidays such as Christmas Eve (when my pets seem to have all their emergencies) and are close by.
Rachel Usher
This is the best care that our little kitty cat Bowser has ever received, and it was a scary time for us. His seizures came on fast, were frequent and getting worse. From the time we dropped off our kitty to be cared for, I felt nothing but confident in the amazing care from Blue Pearl. The communication with us, frequent updates, explanation, and answering all my questions (and I had a lot of questions 😻). He was in good hands from the most competent team who cared so much to help figure out what was going on and get Bowser feeling better. I am so happy we went to Blue Pearl. A super special thanks to Dr. Hollman and her team. Bowser was lucky to have you take care of him.

Easter morning 7:30am we knew something was wrong with my sons dog. We rushed him to BluePearl and they took him immediately. Due to Covid we couldn’t go in with our pet which was hard. We waited in the car. The veterinarian called me while examining our dog and let me know what was happening and reassured us that he would be ok. There were at least 10 other pet owners sitting in their cars! SO grateful for this group❤️
Tracy Martinson
Took my high anxiety dog in after his bandages from a surgery that day had slipped off. The staff and doctor were friendly, professional and competent. He was rebandaged, better than the original and I was given the ok to give him another sedative after they checked his vitals. The experience was as good at it can be under the circumstances. I would definitely go there again for pet emergencies.

Our little pomeranian went completely blind over the course of three days. Our regular vet, (who is wonderful!), recommended seeing an opthamologist at either the U of M or at Blue Pearl. I asked which she would choose, and she said Blue Pearl. The folks at Blue Pearl called after receiving our vet's referral. When I asked the cost for a consultation, they gave me a specific figure and told me that the vet would thoroughly discuss costs of potential treatments, if necessary. We drove four hours for this appointment, and I'm so glad we did. Dr. Trumble was very compassionate and kind, and did a very thorough exam. The cost for this appointment was exactly what we had been quoted on the phone. Within hours, our local vet had received a complete summary report from Dr. Trumble so that we can move forward locally. Our experience at Blue Pearl in Eden Prairie was very positive!

My 9 month old black lab must have gotten into something that caused toxins in him. He was super lethargic, lazy and unresponsive. We showed up at 9:45pm to an eager staff ready to help us. They moved our dog up the queue due to his symptoms, and made him a priority. We left our baby over night to hear first thing in the morning that he is doing 100% better. I can’t thank the staff here enough for saving my baby!
Nick Kirby
My dog ate some chicken bones and we didn't notice until after our regular vet had closed; he seemed to be very uncomfortable. They were very professional (my dog is a cry baby and tends to squirm around when people try to examine him); they took an X-ray, asked a bunch of questions, and tried to determine what his level of pain was. Overall, they just said to monitor him and to bring him back if anything seemed to get worse. The piece of mind to have a vet tell us not to worry too much was well worth the trip.

This is the only vet that was open at 10:30 at night on a weekend, my 12 year old chihuahua started having seizures. We got him there right away and they saw he before we had time to sit down. They truly were careing and did Everything in the book to try to save him. Ultimately we decided it was just the right thing to put him to sleep. Everyone was so helpful and kind to me even though my boyfriend and I were a mess. I’ll never forget how honest and caring everyone was, they really cared about my situation and just wanted what was best for everyone. I had highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for everything you do.

Brought my dog in due to a dog bite, the vets and techs were incredible via phone communication as well as efficient which is most important in an emergency situation. They got him in and out with excellent care instructions.
—-however the woman they had greeting the door was down right rude. Yes, there is a pandemic happening, but that immediate command of needing to stand behind a worn off chalk line on the sidewalk that had no other indication besides it’s thinning existence was unsettling. We watched as four other families got scolded for the same thing. While navigating covid restrictions is hard and frustrating (as a restaurant manger I completely empathize) immediately aggressively condemning people who are in a state of shock or panic at the potential loss of a pet is unsettling. Really makes you question if you even want your pet in their care. Yes it’s frustrating to reiterate the same thing over and over all day (“get behind the chalk line on the ground that no one mentioned but you’re supposed to notice!!”) however bedside manner needs to remain intact.
Katrina Funder
We will be forever grateful for the vets and vet techs at BluePearl. We found out our little 10 week old goldendoodle, Otis, was suffering from acute kidney failure and leptospirosis. Our previous vet from Banfield suggested we rush Otis to BluePearl. After a little wait, they brought Otis in and started him on fluids. Although our sweet pup didn’t make it, we felt that he was in the best possible place given the situation. Special shout out to Lily and Stacy L for loving on our sweet pup, for making him comfortable, and giving him the attention he deserved.
Kendra Brickley
Kind, compassionate staff, who really care about you and your fur babies. They helped us with one of ours twice and the cats we redirected both times was excellent. Their communication and assistance is above and beyond (they're happy to take calls and answer questions and concerns when you're dealing with a surgical recovery at home).
Patti Bauer
Our little Maltese Chloe had a heart seizure and was clearly not recovering Friday night, so we made the decision to bring her to BluePearl. We had never been there before and were apprehensive about walk-in care. Dr Rick Yantes was straight-forward and compassionate. He offered us alternatives, but we knew the time had come. Such a hard thing, but his care kept her calm and unafraid. We are grateful to him and the staff.

I have been taking my cat to Dr. Trumble at the Eden Prairie Blue Pearl for several years. Her treatment and recommendations for his issue have enabled him to retain some vision even though he was born with Eyelid Angenesis. I have total faith in her.
Mary Ernst
After reading all the negative reviews I was a little nervous about taking my dog in. But I'm so glad I did! I needed to write this review to try and set the record straight. If you are wary of taking your pet to Blue Pearl because of what others have complained about my advice is to ignore the negative comments. The team at Blue Pearl has been excellent with my dog and with me. I have never had to "wonder" and not receive return calls. Dr. Trumble was knowledgeable, caring, and easy to talk to. Her team of techs were also obvious animal lovers. So to those who were unhappy for whatever reason,... And to those of you hesitating,....you'll be very happy with the care there.
Joy Parker
I highly recommend BluePearl when your pet needs critical care. I've been there twice with my cocker spaniel. They are compassionate, efficient, professional, and were able to provide highly successful treatment in both cases. Thanks especially to Dr. Lisa Powell, vet tech Maggie, and all the staff who helped treat Sunny during her stay.
Cassie Johnson
Today I rushed in my 14 year old cat. I was bawling my eyes out. We agreed putting her down was the right choice. They were amazing. They reassured me that it was my choice and made sure to give me as much time as I could with her. They said wonderful words to her as I held her crying while she passed on. They made me feel like it was okay to be as upset as I was and I didn’t feel rushed or judged at all. Best experience in the worst experience of my life thus far with it being the first pet that I had to get go.

From our initial visit to discuss the options regarding my dog's broken ankle, throughout the surgery, billing, and discharge, we were treated with kindness, patience, and respect.
I could not be happier with Blue Pearl!
Dr. Yu and team performed a difficult task in repairing my dog's injury.
Thank you!

We had to take our 10 year old Golden Retriever in late at night because he was extremely I'll. Unfortunatley he had to be put to sleep. The Doctor and staff were excellent and treated us and our dog with dignity and respect. This is a very professional and caring facility.

Blue Pearl saved my dog's life 2 days ago. My dog was staying with a sitter and got into rat poison. His temperature and blood pressure had dropped to critical care levels. Dr. Salcedo started her shift and began treatment immediately. My dog is alive today because of Dr. Salcedo and the staff at Blue Pearl. They were very caring, detailed in their diagnosis and treatment and accommodated my visits since my dog had to stay overnight. I have had my dog at Blue Pearl before for minor but timely issues. It is expensive but well worth the value when your pet's health is in danger. Thank you Blue Pearl!

I came in and had to put my beloved dog down. She was suffering, and it was time. They brought me into a room right away.
The tech and the Dr were so kind and understanding. After the euthanasia injection, the Dr listened for a heartbeat and told me, "Lola is no longer in pain. . They were so respectful and gentle. It made the most difficult situation a little easier.

I was referred to BluePearl Pet Hospital by my primary vet clinic, Cats Preferred, in late 2016, when my cat, Jackie, was beginning to suffer some unexplainable symptoms.
BluePearl took us in and ran tests on Jackie and discovered that he was suffering from heart disease. One of their poor vet techs had the unfortunate job of breaking the news to me that my beautiful kitty likely had less than a year to leave.
From that point on, we made semi frequent visits to BluePearl to have Jackie's chest cavity drained of fluid build up and a few other procedures to improve his comfort.
BluePearl staff and techs were always kind, understanding, and extremely open with my about their processes . They answered my teary-eyed questions witch compassion.
And, when Jackie passed away just a short six weeks later, they sent a beautiful card, with hand written notes from various techs. One of the techs wrote that she was so sad to hear of my loss of 'Jack-Jack' - a nick-name of which I frequently referred to Jack in public. I was honored that that tech had paid enough attention during our visits to hear me use that pet-name, and she remembered. I won't forget that. Such a simple thing left such a huge impact on me.
Jennifer Salome
They treated our situation with kindness and dignity. I don't remember their names because we were so distraught, but the women nurses and doctor were very sweet. I don't know how those people deal with clients like us who are so overwhelmed and upset, so props to them for them for being so professional. The price (we thought) was fair, and we had fast service at 12am. I didn't want to go here for the reason we had to, but we made a good choice. Thank you very much.
Amanda Letsinger
This place is AMAZING. They took such good care of my dog after he was attacked at a dog park and were so good with him. They gave me frequent updates, were efficient, and SO kind. I am so thankful for them and all they were able to do for us. Highly recommend.

Saturday, October 7th was the worst day for our family, as we had to say goodbye to our furry family member. It was unexpected and occurred rather quickly, as his health was deteriorating rapidly as we brought him in. Your staff was professional, courteous, and compassionate.
We were never made to feel rushed. There was paperwork to sign, and fees to pay. Your staff never made us feel like it was a business transaction, you gently explained and were extremely caring and patient as we dealt with the loss.
Thank you for helping us through.
Ashley Dosen
We were very pleased with the service we received at this clinic. All staff we encountered were kind, caring, and also clear and concise. It was a stressful and scary situation to be in, but we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this for any after hours emergency pet situations.
Andrew Carlson
Our cat start peeing out some blood, so we took him here on a late Tuesday night.
Pros:
Courteous and caring staff
Explained what they were doing
Explained what we needed to do
Called to check up on us the next morning
Cons:
Price - 120.00 just to have your pet go back and sit on a table
Time - We were there nearly 90 - 120 minutes to have blood run and get pills (but I suppose you wait at all ERs) so i can't mark them down too much for this.
Price - now I am 200 dollars poorer.. but at least the evil cat shall get better.
Summary:
Take your pet to your own vet if possible, but I'd come here again if it was an emergency.
4.3/5

My Dog has been seen on a few occasions by Dr Trumble and her team for an Iris Melanocytoma. I feel that Blue Pearl is compassionate about the work they do and truly care. They have provided follow-up throughout Clover's procedure and provided clear post op instructions. I would recommend them for any ophthalmic procedures your pet may need.

The Eden Prairie office for AEV was outstanding. We had a very hard experience to deal with concerning our cat and the staff was so compassionate and understanding. They were upfront about realistic procedures and costs and they were very open and honest about what they thought was best for our pet.

Thank you for taking great care of our Dakota girl! A 14 going on 15 year old Lab/mix young lady. We were so sad when we had to make her calling to heaven. But, you made everything as comfortable as it could be in our situation 😕 A very nice touch with her clay paw imprint along with our little girls ashes. We appreciate your staff and doctors very much! Chad & Leslie, and of course our little (big) girl in heaven - Dakota

Took my cat in for a lame leg. It was a long wait but it was expected on a Saturday so I took a book with me. They always let me know while I was there how long the waits were and kept me informed. The vet seemed very capable and made a good diagnosis. I would go there again.

Great veterinary location in Eden Prairie.
The staff are very knowledgeable and caring to everyone's needs and concerns.
It's open 24x7, so if you're ever in need of emergency services (surgeries, blood work, x-rays, medicine, etc) in the Southwest metro area, this facility is wonderful!
It's certainly not the cheapest place to go by any means.... But when you need the best, this is the place!
Carol Lange
Of course my cat hates it here, but she has Stomatitis, an autoimmune disease of being allercic to her own dental plaque - which made her a very sick kitty... until Dr. E., Dental Veterinarian extraordinaire, removed all her teeth in one surgery. The care Blue Pearl takes with our Fur Babies is above & beyond! My cat still had redness after healing - sometimes that happens. Medication has done the trick and my kitty is playful, spunky & more living than ever!

My buddy Roach had a right distal femoral growth plate fracture. Worry to death over the weekend, took him in the following Monday as there was no Dr's that work the weekend. Took him in early Monday morning and schedule Roach for his surgery the next day. The day following his surgery, he was up and running already like he never had a broken leg or had just went through surgery!! You can't put a price on a family member!! Many would say to me, it's just a dog and to just get another one, that is true in a way..but to me, it's not just another dog it's family member! Thanks for the great staff and Dr's there at Pearl!! Roach is healing up really good and is already back to his old tactics!!

As Zorro was in advanced lymphoma - I thought I had no options. After talking with Dr. Husbands we had a 3% chance. As I told him 3% is better than 0%. He was very up front about the cost - which I could deal with. In the end the 97% took over - after a number chemo treatments & blood transfusions Zorro was just too weak. The entire staff at Blue Pearl & Golden Valley Vet were so wonderful to deal with during this painful time. When I contacted Golden Valley Vet about the situation - I told them I did not want any paper work during this - I walked in the reception staff just took me to the private room - where Zorro passed.

Blue Pearl is so caring and very helpful with my little dog Alvin. They are patient and I felt they really care and want to make sure he is getting the care. I also appreciate the text messages I get knowing how he is going while I’m waiting. I would highly recommend

They treated my dog as if she was their own. They called me with updates so I wouldn't worry. I hope my dog never has to go back but if she does, I trust these people completely .Thank you all, so much, for everything you did for Ellie.

I see this place has some bad reviews but they seem to have really turned themselves around. I had to take my beloved cat, Luffy to here to get an MRI because of very strange behavior. He just kept wandering around the apartment with no eating, drinking or even using the bathroom.
Just by watching him the vet (I can't recall her name) seemed to have some ideas with what was wrong and went through them all with possible treatment ideas, but she was also upfront and honest about his chance of survival. Not only was SHE helpful, but the neurologist was there to check up on some patients. She took a look at him as well and didn't even charge me.
Unfortunately, Luffy suffered from a very large brain tumor and had to be put down. They were very respectful and understanding. At no point in time did I feel like they were being rude or rushed me or anything. They were nothing but kind.
This is also the second animal my family has had to put down there, and both times they were so nice and helpful.
So I'd say your safe bringing your animal here. It sucks that Luffy is gone, but I'm glad I brought him here. Hopefully I won't have to put anymore animals down for a while though.

My cat was throwing up for a day, we called our regular vet & they recommended we bring him here. I'm so happy we did, after some xrays, they found he had eaten string. It was from his throat through his intestines & to his colon. Yes this place is expensive, but it is an emergency room for pets, just like surgery for humans, it is expensive. That being said, after his surgery, they refunded us part of our down payment because they didn't have to do as many incisions as they expected, so that right there tells me they are honest. In addition to the great care & life saving surgery, they sent what they found inside of him home with us in a jar, we were able to determine what the string came from (unraveling fringe on some basement curtains). That was so good to know, we were able to replace the curtains & keep him out if further mischief. Thank you for saving Walter! We very much appreciate it! He is recovering well, about a week and a half out of surgery. (Picture of string & first day home from surgery).

I had been referred to blue pearl with an on going problem with my pet. Starting with the consultation the vet was so great and took the time to really explain everything clearly. A prescription was recommended and the technician that helped went above and beyond to help me. The whole team was great to work with. Great experience.

I have a 9 year old feline who is my kid. They worked with me through all processes and options when her kidneys began to fail from what we found to be a bilateral kidney infection. Very personable and understanding group; especially, when they received calls from me at 1am, boarder line in tears, because I couldn't sleep without an update on my girl.

I can not say enough good words to the kind souls that took care of my baby over this past weekend. Every single person I spoke with was kind, patient, and not only willing, but eager, to provide me with updates any time I asked (which was a LOT) I feel like they need recognition. At times I was breaking in to tears over the phone, once I had to have someone repeat something like 3 times because my brain didn’t want to process the situation, times I was just frantic and panicked... and all those times I was respected. You just can’t put a price on this level of care... not only for my dog, but for me as well. Thank you to all who helped us. I am forever grateful.

Best place to take your pet in an emergency. They were very kind and helped us understand.
Erin C Peterson
Vetrinarian (Dr. Udvig) was kind and clear about prognosis and treatment. Vet tech staff were helpful with walking us through what needed to happen in order to treat my dog as the pandemic is going on, and extrememly friendly towards all of us. Highly recommend bringing your pets here!
Kristine Wohlfeil
We had a great experience bringing in our cat to have her eye checked out by a specialist. Very friendly and compassionate staff, thorough and understandable explanations, clear wellness plan. Overall great visit!

My 10 week old puppy got really sick and they did a great job giving me options and talking costs up front. She got better quickly and fully recovered. Thank you!

I have had a couple positive experiences here with two different animals for different reasons. One was an emergency situation (consumption of a foreign object) and the other was a referral (neurological). Both doctors I saw were very informative and compassionate.

Unfortunately our furbaby didn't pull through, but the staff and vet Dr were wonderful and caring and patient with our grieving and waiting for our daughter to come say final goodbye

Thank you for the loving care you provided to our Mango the last two times we have visited your facility. Your guidance and support does not go unrecognized. Very appreciative of all you did for us during these stressful times with her.
Maddie Noonan
They have saved my best friend not once but twice now, staff not only put up with my frantic crazy dog mom personality, but eased my concerns and assisted to my fur baby in a prompt and gracious manor, God forbid I ever need to visit an emergency vet again, but if I do, it will be them! Thank you times a million to all of the staff!!!
Annelise Allan
I had a fantastic exerience with Dr. Wolf back in Sept. 2014. She took me seriously about my concerns where the U of M did not. We did an MRI and found a herniated disc in spite of my dog's symptoms being very subtle. U of M said it was only a strained muscle. She also prescribed a treatment that was excellent and cutting edge. My dog is expected to make a close to full recovery.

Called and talked with staff before bringing our dog in at midnight on a Saturday. Very nice helpful people. Totally upfront about any charges and let you decide what should be done for your pet.
I would definitely recommend this facility!
Ginger Brouillard
Unfortunately when my cat had trouble breathing and I brought her in I found out she had cancer they treated us very warmly and word empathetic. It was nice to have some place to go where you knew you would get seen right away
Marlae Cox-Kolek
Referred by our local veterinarian after our dachshund became sick. We had a good experience, up to and including our last visit when we had to make the tough decision to let our fur baby go.
Nicole Raze
They took such great care of our Cali! They were fast, efficient, & provided the special one on one care we needed in our time if crisis! Thank you Blue Pearl for saving our sweet Cali Girl when we didn't know where else to turn!
Dan Carlson
We were referred by our family vet for our dogs constant siezures after being to our vet for a different illness. Coco, our pure bred Kookabear made it and is going home. We are very thankful for the care given to her.
Tim norton
Love blue pearl eden prairie, took my cat bob into them on a saturday with no more then a hour advance notice because after 4 vet visits and 2 weeks of my cat barely able to move without screaming in pain and forcing to eat/drink the situation looked very ugly...
left him in there care from saturday afternoon to monday evening and after tests/different meds and plans took him home hoping for the best. It's now wednesday ( about 3 days later ) and he's walking around all over the place, eating, drinking and not a squeak of pain and he's so happy to be home curled up on my daughters bed sleeping :) cannot thank them enough there for all they have done, even when i had a concern at 2:30am monday morning and couldnt sleep i called to ask a question the techs there reassured me the situation and made my worry's better. Thank you all so much for what you do!
Jaclyn Bretschneider
Laurie, the receptionist that took my call today, was rude. I spend a lot of time and money at this clinic, and I don’t appreciate the rudeness over the phone. If I had to deal with her over the phone on a regular basis, I would discontinue treatment at this clinic. Just want blue pearl to be aware, I’m not sure how many other people could be feeling the same way!!
Tara Jones
Couldn't be more happy with the care we recieved today! Friendly, kind, and the doctor let me make the decisions with her professional guidance. Highly recommend!
Thank goodness for this business
Chris (OGoctopus)
Spendy but in an emergency they triaged us in 30 mins from arrival. cat had urinary blockage and it could have been fatal.
Carly Clark
My puppy chewed up an ant bait and I was very worried. I tried calling the hotline for poison control with pets and was on hold for way too long! I called this pet hospital close to my house and they were so helpful!! Thank you so much for being so kind and that it is not dangerous for pets unless he had ate the plastic. Thank you again!!!
Heather Vande Kieft
Amazing place. Took care of my sweet dog and also cared about his scared owners. They noticed we were Packers fans so they bandaged him in green and yellow. Such a sweet gesture. They truly care about you here
Kurt Martig
First time visit. Great response time. Immediately helped my very ill pet. I received bad news but was very appreciative of the doctor's compassion, empathy and candidness. Also, I am grateful that this after hour service is available since that seems to be when bad things happen. Thank you.
Laura Mestler
Very kind and compassionate staff. We have an older dog who was having trouble breathing and they helped us. We are appreciative of their professional and caring staff.
Brooke Barrett
At some point in their lives, all three of our dogs have been here. All three survived. Pricey, but appreciate the emergency care so close to home. And we can't complain about the outcomes.
Denice LaChapelle
I hope you don't find yourself in a pet emergency, but if you do- this is the place to go! I trust them completely. They took care of my puggle who has HGE and called us several times throughout his stay with updates.
Charly Stansbery
As a DVM myself, I can’t always care for everything my patients or my own pets need and that is where Blue Pearl comes in. Every department has been wonderful to work with and I fully trust them to have good communication with my clients and top notch service!
Autumn
I was nervous going to a vet that wasn’t normal one especially in an emergency. They did a really good job on keeping me updated and caring for my sweet boy.

Kate
Great and caring staff. As with any emergency area they are frequently very just and that means long waits, but the staff knows this and are great at making accommodations and seeing that your pet is taken care of.
Sean N.
From phone call to conclusion the entire process was quick, efficient, and successful. All staff were exceptional and informative. For our situation there was nothing we could have asked for to make it a better experience.
starfoxpbb
Severely understaffed. Waited literally 3 hours in the vet room for the vet to show. Others who arrived after me were still there with their pets in the waiting room when I left.
Rachel Kiley

One great experience and one time where they didn't communicate with me at all. The bad experience was during the day. The great experience was in the middle of the night. My suggestion is to only go here in the middle of the night...and if you're ready to spend a lot of money.
Daniel Braun
Very professional when handling the body of my recently deceased dog. I applaud the workers there that need to constantly see the sadness in family's dealing with the loss of a family pet.
Cheryl anon
They are open & available to do anything your pet might need, in the wee hours when everyplace else is closed. Yes it costs more, as it should (to have actual veterinarians as well as techs, and all the specialized equipment). I've been in the back Critical Care area when my dog was critically ill, the waiting area is but a small sliver of the entire space.
nicholas larson
What a caring and professional staff. Made one of my hardest nights much better with caring and compassionate service. Up front about approach and costs. Thank you so much!!!
daniel hernandez
great care for my dog
Andrea Bott
Waiting here is hit or miss, depending upon how many emergencies they see. Obviously, if your dog has a dire need they will be seen before somebody else's dog with a broken toenail. But even still, the waits here are usually better than the waits at human urgent care.
The front desk staff are friendly and know what they're doing. The doctors and techs we've met have been nice as well. The price is about in line with our regular non-emergency vet aside from the initial visit fee.
They have lots of patient rooms so there arent tons of animals sitting in the waiting room to stress out your pet. This location does use CareCredit if you need assistance paying for treatment.
Adam Holder
I’ve had 2 experiences here and both have been tremendous. Excellent communication, customer service, and empathy. Thank you for all your help!
Tex
