1st time going to St. Paul’s and I LOVE them! The surgeon that took my cat Cookies infected cervix out, was the sweetest! He was so reassuring and so gentle. The staff is super friendly too. Id recommend this animal hospital to anyone! Thank you to everyone there being so awesome with cookie! I was so scared to leave her there and they were so reassuring, that I left with so much less anxiety than I did when I got there. She is healing perfectly and I will definitely be bringing all of my animals here if I ever have any issues again. 10 stars out of 5

Poor customer service from staff. Called me to come pick up my dog. I called the curbside number and was put on hold. A representative got back on the phone and I got the chance to say I'm here to pick up my dog. She instantly hang up the phone before I finished my sentence. Finally, got into the place and after making a $400 deposit. The vet didn't want to tell me what was wrong with my dog broken leg. It was not until I said I paid $400 and you can't tell me nothing. Is when the staff pushed me into an exam room and the vet finally told us what is wrong. Going back 9/26 and hoping to have a better experience. Way better service and my baby is healing perfectly. Love the service, but still a little snotty attitude from the front desk.

I like that you call and wait on your car until they call you. It can be a very long wait at times and that is the only negative. I have been taking my pets here for over 10 years. We have 6 animals that are currently being taken care of here. The price is reasonable and I love the current vets and other staff. They are normally always helpful

They are honest and very loving and caring to both my fur babies and me. I am a life long client I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who has fur babies.

The clinic is currently operating under pandemic conditions so you have to wait in the parking lot. They call when it's your turn. Everything inside is still the same. Everyone is welcoming, the rooms are brightly painted and the tables are still metal. My cat didn't care. The doctor and her assistant were quick yet empathetic with my cat, who is elderly and not used to traveling, much less being handled by strangers, yet she remained calm. I've been coming to this clinic since it was built and before that, the old one on St. Paul. I don't want to take my animals anywhere else.

This is a walk in clinic. So, no guarantees as to what time you can see the vet. Euthanasia’s have priority, so wait times will vary. Once you are in there, they take care of your pet. I have been there a few times- met almost all the vets they have there. They love what they do and they take your time with you. My dog is scared of needles and they made sure he never saw that he was being given a shot. It was funny that he didn’t realize after the fact also. Diane was the vet tech who did the shots. My regular vet got unusually busy and this is where I went to get shots updated.

Okay, seeing that there are over a thousand reviews leads me the conclusion the management of St Paul's probably won't see this, but I'll give it a shot, anyway. So here is the story; this morning I awoke to discover my elderly cat had passed away at some point last night. She was quite old and had rapidly declining in the last couple of days, so it wasn't exactly a shock, but since this cat had been a part of my life for ages, it was still a highly upsetting reality. Once St Paul's opened I called and confirmed that I could bring her remains in. Now here is what turned out to be the first problem; St Paul Veterinary Clinic has by far the heaviest security of any animal clinic I have ever visited. They may be justified in this, I wouldnt know. What I do know is that the receptionist could have informed me of that all paperwork would need to be completed over the phone before entry. I could have done it then and there on that call, but instead what happened was once I screwed up my courage, boxed up my dead cat, and took an Uber to the clinic, I then spent 12 minutes standing in the parking lot, holding a box with my beloved pet's remains, listening to hold music while they dealt with other people. Once I was finally granted entry, the vibe I received from most of the staff was more appropriate to returning a faulty appliance than letting go of the remains of a beloved pet. I understand they deal with death and dying on a daily basis, but some sort of acknowledgement that I am obviously having a very bad day might have been nice. I won't say they were explicitly rude, but a glimmer of empathy might have been nice. I will say one guy who was passing by- I assume a vet tech- offered to set up a room so I could say goodbye. When I entered, he didn't merely put the box containing my cat on the exam table, but laid her out between two towels, so that just her head was showing. It was a touching detail, and I really appreciate he made the effort (why St Paul squeezes through with a three star rating). I do highly, HIGHLY recommend some sort of customer experience/empathy training for the rest of staff, who came off as bored and distracted.

Our trip was a false alarm but the people here are amazing. Kind in the face of frustrated puppy owners. The wait time was long but they're cheap and are extremely professional. A long wait is expected from an affordable community service like this.

Been using this vet off and on for many years. Cost is reasonable, vets are great. But they do not take appointments. You are required to come to the parking lot, call in and wait your turn. It can sometimes take a while to get in to see a vet.

LONGGGGG WAIT TIMES but that’s what you get for first come first serve vet. Can’t wait inside so you wait in your car in the marking lot. Waited 4 hours my first visit and 2.5 my second but if you want same day service then that’s what you sign up for. The vets are nice. The counter staff could be friendlier but again, it’s what you sign up for if you need immediate service that isn’t an emergency vet.

GREAT Experience: My dog broke his nail and my regular vet couldn't see us for a week so I went here. I brought my dog in for a broken nail and the vet numbed it, removed it, and bandaged it up. He even trimmed all his other nails too while he was at it. I really appreciated that because my dog is prone to cracked nails. The bill was reasonably priced seeing that it is a walk-in clinic and they do first come, first serve. Much better than taking him to an emergency vet which could have been 2x or 3x the amount of money. I was only charged for the service I requested and no medications or other services were pushed on me. I was given the option to take home pain meds, but the vet and I both agreed the nail didn't bother him so it would be pointless. I did read previous reviews and I have to say based upon my recent experience there, all the negative reviews don't line up with how great their service was. All the employees seemed to really care and were nice and friendly. The prices were more than reasonable compared to other vets. But keep in mind, owning a pet, just like having a child, is always going to be pricey if something goes wrong.

Great place with caring staff who listen to your questions and do consider info you may research on own with pets conditions and will share info they find on the same subjects if they research more into it too . So good for a collaborative approach to pets care

The doctors are very friendly and thorough. They make things affordable. I love that they have walk-in service and they take their time working with the pets to make them comfortable. Dr. Zach is wonderful and Dr. Singh just did surgery on my cat. It was a lifesaving measure. They are sensitive to the pets and our pet families.

Arrived at 10:50 and called them, was able to be seen at 11:50. The vet and assistant got down on the ground and allowed my dog to sniff them and get comfortable. The staff seemed to really love animals and care about my pet.

Our 185 pound Mastiff (was 220) has osteosarcoma. He underwent leg amputation at UW Madison a week ago. The surgeon wanted his primary vet to do his after care by changing his bandage yesterday. Unfortunatly he refused to do. Thankfully Dr Singh at St Paul agreed to do it even though he has never seen our dog as a patient before. He was quick, he knew exactly what he was doing and how the bandage should he applied. His staff was courteous and helpful when holding him up so that the bandage could be wrapped around his rib cage. He did a much better job wrapping him then they did when he was at UW Madison. Going forward all of my animals will be treated and seen at St Paul animal hospital. Thank you!

On some days theyre extreamly slow. But theyre reasonably priced, honest, and were really helpful when we changed our minds and wanted our cats ashes back. And our dog agrees theyre the best vet weve been to.

The doctors and nurses were extremely helpful and they did an awesome job. I did have a hard time with the one opening the door she was very rude to me it made my experience a little rough especially when you're going through a hard time, our dog needed surgery. And I have heard from other people how the same woman was very rude to them also. Just want to say the doctors were awesome and nurses too. And the price was very good.

St. Paul Vet is great! Well priced for their services. I recommend get your pet's script there then going to another pharmacy to get the script filled simply because of the price. On the vets and techs - they are all so friendly and really take good care of the pets. I've been going there for a few years and my pets are always well taken care of, my questions answered. Please keep your pet leashed or kenneled when you go there.

It was just okay. I wanted a wellness exam for my new rescue puppy. Which is $65. I also had a question about a sound she makes. The vet basically checked her for the symptom I mentioned vs. doing an overall wellness exam on her. I even had to ask if her incision from the spay surgery was healed well. If she had given her a full exam that’s something she would have seen. The wait time is extremely long. So I waited all the time just to have her reverse sneeze checked out. The staff are very nice but I don’t think I will be back unless it’s an emergency. If your dog is sick and you don’t have a better option then this place is okay.

Excellent clinic. I brought in my senior cat who has suffered from respiratory issues from time to time over that last several years. They were extremely gentle and so caring with my kitty. The vet was honest, knowledgeable and didn’t suggest running any unnecessary test and sent us home with three medications. Within 2 days my senior cat was running around like kitten! He was on meds for a total of a month and now taking a L-Lysine supplement daily. I highly recommend this clinic. They are honest and won’t break the bank by running a ridiculous amount tests and they are extremely friendly and caring.

I brought my dog in on Friday night and waited over an hour and half to be seen. I didn’t have a problem with the wait since it’s a first come first serve service. They preformed multiple tests on my dog. The vet tech and vet were great with my dog. When checking out the cashiers were complaining about having to stay late at work and just overall unprofessional. Friday they said they’d call Monday morning with tests results. I called Monday at 4pm and the receptionist said the results are in but she couldn’t go over them with me. She said she’d have a dr call me asap. By 6pm no one called so I called again and yet again a dr wasn’t available to over the results. Now Tuesday at noon I have called for the third time and still no one is available to go over the results. This establishment needs to come up with a different process to review the results. It’s unacceptable to leave customers in limbo regarding what could be a serious health issue.**** update the vet called at 1pm with an update. It’s very frustrating for vet to set an expectation and not follow through in a timely manner. The pricing at this vet is fair.

Recently our Sophia was hurt by our Corgi Penny and of course this had to happen during the whole Covid 19 thing! St. Paul Veterinary Clinic was there for us when we truly needed them. Sophia's nose was injured and was bleeding. The kind people working there fixed her up as good as new and God Bless them, they did not charge a high dollar like a lot of other vets these days! They are great as always. My English bulldog had a painful skin infection that required immediate attention. They had to shave the infected area and clean it. It was painful for him but they kept him calm and worked quickly and now the healing process will began.

This clinic is cheaper than most in the city, and the surgeries they do for animals are so much cheaper than anywhere else. I used to go to a different vet, and when I got a new dog in need of various services they quoted my the price for everything at between 1200 and 1500. St. Paul Vet did everything for 1/2 the price, and they're upfront about pricing. I'll continue to go here as long as I'm in need of cheap vet services. The downside is the wait. You call in when you get to the parking lot and we waited for about an hour and a half before anyone got to us. We called sometime after the hour mark to ask how long we would be waiting, and they said they don't give estimated wait times. The wait is very long, and you don't get to go into the clinic. If you're going, bring a book or something to entertain yourself. Another downside is that the hours listed are not always what the hours are. I called ahead of time (which I would suggest doing) and despite their hours saying they were open until 9, they stated that they were closing early at between 5 and 6 because they were short staffed. Overall, the clinic was very cheap. Just be aware that in some senses you get what you pay for - there are no appointments, long wait times, and the hours are shortened a lot of days amidst the pandemic.

The wait was a little long & it was in the parking lot, about 45 minutes. Once we got in, the vet was marvelous! Kind, friendly, gentle and calming to our cat. He listened to us and gave us options. The price was reasonable. I'm very happy we went there.

I’ve been bringing my pets here for 30+ years, cats and dogs. The vets and staff really care. The prices are good. They don’t try to upsell supplements and other concoctions. You do have to wait in the parking lot for your turn—due to Covid, sometimes for an hour and a half, depending on how busy they are. But I bring something to do.

After a horrible experience at a different walk-in clinic where I was told my cat is “too aggressive” and “needs to be sedated for care”, St. Paul was absolutely amazing. No sedation, just understanding that my cat was scared and a lot of reassurance that she was doing well. Yes, the wait is long. But it’s always worth it. I've been bringing my dogs here for years and its always been a positive experience. Yesterday I brought my dog in with runny eyes and a ear infection. My dog does NOT cooperate very well and it gets quite upsetting for everybody. The doctor and the assistant were awesome. The Dr. took the time to sit on the floor gain my dogs trust. Wow, where do I begin. Called to find out hours. 11a.m to 8.p.m I think might be 9p.m. First come first serve. Got there at 10:45 out of there at 11:15. Checked my Louie (dog name) got meds and was out of there. They have a few doctor 3 or 4. Every doctor is for different reasons so that even makes it faster. I was not disappointed about anything. 🙂

Caring staff and vet in a very clean examination room. You do have to check in, by phone, then wait in your car until called. I went on a very busy Saturday, and had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours until called. I don't have much experience with many other vets, but the prices seem very reasonable.

Which can be treated with oral or injection steroids we opted for the injection and the Vet Doctor Zach was amazing and so was his assistant are very kind and very direct about the course of action is needed to help our cat

I was so impressed by all the staff at St. Paul’s. I got to the facility before they opened and there were already quite a few people waiting. The check-in process was Covid-safe and easy, which I appreciated. They devoted a lot of care and compassion to my pet who was very nervous for his first visit. All my concerns were addressed and I didn’t feel like we were rushed. Everyone was so kind. Did I mention they were affordable?! Finally a vet clinic for the people! 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the MKE area.

This vet has always been the "go-to" for my family ever since I was a kid, I remember going to the previous location with my mom. They used to have a jar on the counter with a dogs heart infected with heart worm. This was over 25 years ago. It's convenient not having to make an appointment, the prices are reasonable & staff are friendly & accommodating. My dog is a rescue and weary around men & strangers, he will growl and act like he wants to bite. All they did was give me a muzzle to put on him and go about their business. They did not make a big deal about this like the vets out in the suburbs do/would. Their main goal is to help the animals. They are upfront about pricing so it's not a big surprise when you go to pay. The only downside is the bad neighborhood it's in.

Once you arrive in the parking lot, park and call the clinic. Give them your information. Then you wait for a callback informing you that it's your turn to come in. Super efficient way of managing pandemic pet health!

Was able to nurse my pet to health at home after purchasing the supplies from the clinic to take home.They were not open on Sunday and my dog was suffering from Parvo, so they gave me they necessities to keep him hydrated and alive until I could get him back to the clinic when they opened again. I was an operating room assistant for 12 years and the doctor felt comfortable in my ability to administer the care needed. I am happy to say that my dog has fully recovered and I firmly believe that the Dr.'s decision saved his life. Thank you, Dan

We had a great experience with St Paul Veterinary clinic. The staff was really nice and the vet actually work with us as we didn't have to much money to spend at the time. But he gave us some options and told us all we needed to know on what we could do and how much it would cost. They were very gentle and understanding. I would recommend this place to anyone. I love that you can just walk in and the wait time was not long at all.. My dog is taking his meds and doing better by the day! Thank you all for your kindness and professionalism ☺️. This vet service is excellent. No appointments are taken but the wait is not bad if you don't show up at opening time. High quality vets who always know the pet's record. Even the surgeries are handled well. Ten percent lifetime discount for rescues from humane society is nice.

I have had good experiences bring my cat in for check-ups and vaccinations. While the wait is sometimes long, they keep hours that are much easier to fit into my schedule. I have found that the shortest wait times are usually on weekdays mid-afternoon. They also do some surgeries, like pulling teeth. The surgeon is good and doesn't do things unnecessary.

Thank you, St Paul Vet Clinic. Today I took my cat to this clinic to be put down. They provided such a kind and compassionate experience for both my cat and myself. I was given quiet time alone with her for 10 minutes ( then asked if I wanted more). Then she was given a shot in her thigh to make her go to sleep. Again, I was left alone with her for 10 minutes (then asked if I wanted more). Finally, the last shot was administered into a blood vessel in her leg and it was over in moments. The time I was given with her awake and then deeply asleep made the event so much easier to bear. It has also left me with a nice memory of her final moments. I'm grateful. Our dogs have always been taken care of at St. Paul's. It's a first come, first serve kind of place for regular visits. Prices are amazing. I was quoted $2,500, by another place I'd been going, for teeth cleaning and 5 extractions and a small growth removal. St Paul's found no reason to pull 3 of the 5 and removed other growths of concern. $700. Great staff. Great doctors.

We love Dr. Chavez and usually ask for her, but our pets have seen many of the qualified vets here. The staff, especially the vet techs are very nice and helpful. It would be nice if they would open up to having scheduled appointments for regular customers, other than that we highly recommend them for all your pet care needs.

We brought our dog here for teeth cleaning that he desperately needed. We were able to walk in, get a blood test and schedule a dental cleaning procedure all in the same day- and with very little wait time. When we brought him in for the procedure, we met with the veterinarian and he helped us feel at ease and reassured us our dog was in good hands. When we picked him up, they gave us a full report and some medication for gingivitis. The only complaint I had was the drop off time- it was difficult to get away from work early afternoon to drop him off and would be more convenient to drop him off early in the morning. Other than that, we were very pleased with the service we received from the St. Paul veterinarians and staff. We will definitely be returning should our dog need any other routine services.

A wonderful clinic recommended by a colleague more than 10 years ago. I’ve brought all my dogs here since and have always found the doctors and office staff to be caring, compassionate and very professional. My favorite thing about this clinic aside from reasonable prices, is the fact that you don’t need an appointment for general care. When you’re busy working and running kids around, that’s a real win. Keep in mind that you may have to wait a bit during peak times, but if you know that going in, or call in advance to see if they are busy (I’ve done this), it shouldn’t be a huge problem.

My review is based on a prescription medication issue only. Long story short, we unexpectedly ran out of drugs for our very sick dog when we messed up the Friday hours of our regular pharmacy. Well, I was able to get in contact with this place right away, who was able to process a faxed prescription ASAP and get me the drugs in an efficient and helpful fashion. Despite the Friday evening rush, the staff was super friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. They really came through for us.

I love this walk-in vet clinic! Been going there for "many, many years". A working man's clinic and they are absolutely fantastic with the critters! Pricing is fair market, sometimes a wait to see the vet, yet I truly "trust" them to wait patiently for my turn. In an emergency, they immediately respond. I've personally witnessed how they treat many of their clients over the years. When we loose a critter, it's extremely difficult on us humans because we love them so dearly. The great folks at St. Paul sincerely offer their dearest and compassionate support in this time of grievement. I'll be honest. I've gone to other vet clinics at times due to my schedule. However, I can't think of any real reason why I'd change. They aren't the fanciest of clinics, a tad aged decoratively. However, it's not about the "decor". It's all about what they do and how great my critters respond to them.

I think they hours and prices are great! I never had any problems with the place. But I wish they had a better way for people to check in now that you have to call from the parking lot and wait in your car until they call you. An older gentleman kept walking around the parking lot looking for a way to check in he didn't have a cell phone to do so. I called for him and I explained to the staff that I used my phone to call to check him in that they would have to go out to get him. They need to do something about that. Many people dont have cell phones and many other people dont or won't help other people or borrow their phone because of the Covid. I wish they would do something about that. In the service and love the vet's have for animals. I really do like this place.

Today was my first visit to St. Paul Vet. I have been dealing with a sick 4 year old cat, and I was grateful for this walk-in-style office that provides quick care without an ER price. Their COVID precautions were reasonable and I was happy I was able to go inside with my anxious cat. They quickly assessed her digestive issues, gave her an x ray, fluids, and anti-vomiting meds, and were patient with my frazzled self. Reasonably priced, compassionate, and very efficient. I have a regular vet for my cat, but twice she has showed signs of an eye infection after my regular vet has closed for the night. Both times I have been able to bring her in to St Paul vet clinic and have her seen that night with meds in hand afterward. It is first come first serve so you may wait for a little bit but the staff is always very friendly and I’ve never waited over 30 mins. I highly suggest this to anyone in a pinch that can’t get in to their regular vet. They take appointments until 8pm (on Wednesday nights at least) and are comparable to regular vet office prices in my experience. Much more reasonable than emergency vet prices!

My dog got an intestinal blockage--we learned after surgery that he had eaten a piece of corn cob! (Where he got it, we don't know.) They took very good care of my Denali; he came through the surgery just fine. Dr. Singh is a GREAT surgeon! The people there were kind, understanding and caring (I was a mess!). They called me to let me know how he was doing and let me come in to see him for just a bit after surgery. I couldn't ask for a better veterinarian or vet clinic. I highly recommend this clinic and the people who work there. Denali is alive today because of them. I have been a customer at this clinic for years--and you can bet I will remain a customer for as long as I have a dog in my home. They went above and beyond duty in my book.

My cat was sick. When I got there, we waited about a hour..... They were very busy .When we were seen, the vet told me he had crystals. He talked me through everything and gave me options .I decided to keep him over night. He called me the next day with a update . After I took him home I called back with questions. The vet called me back as soon as he could and answered them. The staff is very nice and helpful!! ! Thank you for saving his life! !! ❤️❤️❤️

The best thing about this clinic is that you don't have to sacrifice great service to get great prices. I've never seen a more reasonably priced veterinary office. The staff are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We've taken our dogs here and were very satisfied with the care they gave. When we had our precious Boston Terrier euthanized, they treated her with the love and respect they would give their own pets. If you have pet rats, ask for Dr. Jenna specifically. She is hands down the best small animal (rat specifically) vet I've ever come across.

I don't know about the negative reviews. My wife and I are very intelligent people, we ask plenty of questions and even had second and third opinions for one of our dogs in respect to cancer. We always received factual answers and compassionate care. We coordinated surgical care for one of our dogs that had to have a leg removed due to bone cancer. Some places wanted to give Chemo, Radiation and plenty of costly and drawn out treatment strategies that had questionable success rates. St Paul's recommended the the approach that removed the leg, but also removed the cancer. Our 10 year old athletic dog had one leg removed, became a tripod and went on for about 4 more healthy years. Check backs every 6 months. At 14, this large breed mix finally came back with a very virulent cancer and it was too far gone. A great life for him post operation, even after having his leg removed. It's a blue collar clinic, not a boutique. The staff really cares. I could go on even more about how compassionate they are, how they helped some of our other animals....enough to fill a few pages.

Definitely will be returning wish I could request same dr for next visit but hopefully everyone is just as nice. I am not sure if I just got lucky and had no wait, since it is first come, first serve-no appointment. Makes a big difference when your furbaby needs treatment now and not sometime next week or "drop them off we will try to squeeze them in". I have never had a bad experience here, and I've had to deal with a lot of difficult animal problems. The staff has always been kind and compassionate, even in the most difficult times, such as when an animal companion needs to be euthanized. They've helped with everything from routine vaccinations to surgeries and emergency dental procedures. Got my cat spayed here and although it was a bit of a wait due to the Covid lockdown, I got in and out relatively quick. They gave me a price breakdown before the surgery and it was on the lower side of the price estimate. By far the best spaying/neutering value in terms of vets. They don't provide you with a collar/cone but luckily I had one already.

Our 10 year old female dog was very ill. Finally got her in and she had an infection that was killing her. We had a heavy decision to make. They hped us to keep costs down as much as possible and to obtain interest free financing for months. They kept her overnight after the surgery,which they were able to do the same day. I am happy to say she recovered and is running and jumping and playing like she is three. The girls at the front desk were very nice and helped greatly. So a big thank you to everyone from the front desk staff to the vets for giving us back our very cherished dog. Oh and Maggie just said hi as she was running to fetch her ball!lol

Edit on 10/9/19: I was upset about my prior experience there, but other than that ocassion, they are typically nice and helpful so I will revise to 4 stars. I used to go here for all of my pets, but I don't think I will return. The front desk staff are beyond rude and they are always super under-staffed. I understand being busy but when it's on a consistent basis, you should probably hire more staff. When animals are sick, time is of the essence, we're already stressed and worried, and the last thing we need is to be snapped at by rude receptionists. I've never experienced such rudeness before, and it's consistent every time. Anyways, I have a dying kitten who is only 11 months old. I've already spent about $600 for them to tell me they don't know what's wrong. No further steps, instructions, or recommendations were given. They are always too busy to even talk to you or call you back. They always claim they put notes in the file regarding your pets so the receptionist can see them, and then when I follow up, they claim there's never anything on there. I'm beyond depressed. I feel like no one there cared about my animal and I have no direction to go from here to get her the care she needs. Time is running out for her and I'm already out a good chunk of change. Looks like I'll have to start over somewhere else. Update: Vet called back and said blood work was fine, and I should do an xray next. I told him I just did an xray and said why isn't it in the file? He said quote "oh, I didn't look at the file. I'm stumped then." And that was that.

I went here to get a second opinion on a broken bone in my pointers foot. My vet said leave it alone and let it heal or see a specialist have the foot set and splinted but she didn't have the splinting materials. I called several vets and told appointments would be at least a week in the future so I called St Paul and told walk-ins were accepted. I saw Dr Singh for the purpose of getting the hard splint . Dr Singh looked at the x-ray and examined Lilly. He then gave me the options of letting it heal or putting Lilly under anesthesia and setting the foot with a splint. The doctor went out of his way to assure me that Lilly would do well without the procedure and splint (and expense). I agreed and was told no charge for the consult! A week and a half later Lilly is doing well as predicted. My experience with this vet was very positive and the staff professional. and businesslike. This is an urban clinic and the lobby won't be confused with a country club. In this case I liked the "no appointments necessary" policy . I'll be back for sure.

I can’t say enough good things about the place. I live in Kenosha and my dog needed emergency surgery to remove a foreign object that he had swallowed. All the vets in my area would not see him unless we paid an outrageous amount of money. Feeling hopeless that I couldn’t save my dog, I came across St. Paul. They not only said they would see him ASAP, they did not change an unreasonable price for the surgery. The staff as soon as you walk in were so welcoming. We didn’t wait long until the doctor seen us. He looked at his x-rays sent from the previous vet, examined him and told me exactly what he would do within the surgery. An overwhelming sense of relief came over me as I handed my dog to him. I recommend this vet to everyone I talk to now!

I have been a client of St. Paul Vet Clinic for years. They have definitely improved over the years. They are much cleaner than they used to be. Many of the desk staff are friendly and the vet staff that I've come in contact with have been great. I think it is important to keep the waiting area clean as dogs do urinate often and sometimes the owners don't inform the staff. Also, too much flying hair isn't good either. Making sure the outside is free of poo is helpful as well. Most importantly, I don't like bringing my dogs into the actual vet room and seeing other dog's hair on the table. It's an OCD thing with me. Other than those few things, I will remain a client at St. Paul Vet Clinic.

They have been pleasant, courteous and most of all, when they bill themselves as the "Working Mans' Vet"... they are serious. Today I had to take my elderly kitty in for what turned out to be a hefty inner ear infection. The vet was conscious of the costs and worked to make sure everything they did was affordable. My kitty will have to go back at a later day for dental work, but first things first... get the inner ear infection under control... VERY satisfied with each and every visit we've had there.

I had to take my dog to the vet because she had hurt herself a couple days prior & she wasn't getting better. We took her around 3pm & it was GREAT!! Nobody else was there!! We waited 10 minutes before we were called back (the last time we went we waited over an hour & they were packed). It's got that "night court" feel with all kinds of people (and dogs) hanging out, which is kind of fun. The interior is kind of spare, but the people really are always very kind, which I (and the pups) have always appreciated. It can be hard to get in with a new vet, so this is a great place to have in your back pocket.

My regular clinic was too busy to see my dog on a Saturday and recommended St Paul's. I was impressed and have since switched vets. My 7 year pit struggled with a number of issues, weight and allergies at the top of the list. Not only did they fix his tooth problem, the vet took one look and recommended a thyroid test that came back as problematic. Something my old vet never mentioned. They also recommended a new allergy medicine. Flash forward 5 months and he has lost 25 pounds (thyroid meds) and his allergies are finally under control. I am blessed to have found them.

Friendly, caring staff. During Covid-19, they are keeping to the rules for no contact so you check in over your phone while in their parking lot. You wait outside until called. No one will be allowed in without a mask. St.Paul will care for your pet while being straight forward about your pets needs. Also they tend to all incomes. They are Not Free, but, if you dont have all the money at that time they will try to work with you to help your pet.

This was the place that saved our cat when we needed them first. One of those three boys came home with a broken leg from outside. St Paul, Dr Sing, accepted on the same day we called them. They have been still hellping us.Great place, great surgeon. Yet, it cost us more than planned, expected. I dont know the general costs for such issues so I can't say this place is more expensive. The surgeon and the staff are grrat though. You have to be ready to wait for some extra time in your car as the coroma messed up. Also, this hospital is always fill of the injured animals.That means people are happy with their services, I guess.

It was crazy! I know that St Paul is more affordable but why go if you just get insulted by staff who don't understand the struggles people go through everyday with the cost of vet care! They act like everyone can afford it, and of course if you can't, then why do you even have a pet you can't afford! I totally get it...but my dog is suffering and all you wanna do is insult me!? Wow! Okay!

I'm kind of skeptical about this place. I brought my cat in because she had a lump on her rear leg, and while the vets were nice, the check up was so brief. And then they took a needle and took some blood from the lump without telling my any prices. And then left the room to analyze it, and within 5 or less minutes said my cat may have a bad tumor or even cancer. Gave me the options to do a biopsy or amputate her leg. They barely had any information from that little bit of analyzing and decided it needed to come to that. Not to mention they wanted me to somehow come up with almost $900 within a couple weeks. I'm honestly a little suspicious that they might just be trying to get as much money out of me as possible since they don't even know for sure what is wrong with my cat. I think I'm going to go to another vet for a second opinion.

Great experience every time I go. Fast, reliable, yet very up front and wont give you the run around. I have had 3 cats, 1 Labrador, and 3 Pitbulls throughout my life. One of the dogs I had, had swolled a whole corn on the cobb and couldn't use the bathroom . We didn't know what had happened but took him in to make sure he was ok, and found out the cobb was stuck in his belly to the point of backing him up internally and almost killed him! The surgery would have cost 1500$ and we did not have it at the time, so the vet worked with us and gave us a huge discount , did the surgery without any complications , and my doggy came out happy, healthy and all thanks to St. Pauls Vet! Also, the vet asst. & veterinarians are very sincere, fast, and helpful with any questions I've had. My family and I have 1 puppy pitbull now, and 2121qu

Took my Bella (Shepherd mix) into see them yesterday. I’m so glad that I did, she’s starting to feel better. They were awesome with her and took real good care of her. I brought my cat, Dunkin, here after he spent a weekend at an emergency vet because of urinary blockage/bladder crystals. I had a nightmare at the e-vet, where they charged an arm and a leg, and tried to tell me he was re-blocked when he wasn't. Yes, they don't take appointments here, but for me it honestly works better. The vets I dealt with the 2 times I brought Dunkin in after his health scare were very nice, and knowledgeable. He had only been prescribed antibiotics after leaving the e-vet, but Dr. Singh gave him an anti-inflammatory shot, and prescribed both an anti-anxiety medication and pain meds. Both of these medications helped tremendously, and I think it was because of St Paul Vet Clinic that Dunkin was able to make a full recovery, all for an affordable price.
