I came to this clinic about 20 years ago due to Dr Troy Semendal. He is professional, friendly, genuine, and takes his time to answer your questions. My sister and dad even switched to bring their dogs here to Dr Troy. I’ve had 6 dogs come here and they’ve all received top notch care. The staff is good at taking messages and returning calls. There’s numerous other vets closer to me though the longer drive is worth the care, attention, and animal and customer focus provided at Spirit of 76th Vet Clinic.

Absolutely a Wonderful Staff on the saddest day for me, my panda (Guinea Pig) passed away, I was in distress and grief stricken, Josh was a rock star during this time for me , I was given time with panda to send her on her journey to Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. I had her home in under a week. Thank you Josh for your compassion during a hard time for me .

We have been bringing our pets here for years. I’ve had 2 of my rabbits spayed/neutered here and everything went great. Our 16 year old cat is a patient of Dr. Thompson’s and she is so good to us and our cat. I’ve emailed her so many times asking questions about our cats diabetes, then her bone cancer:( She always responds. I dread the day that our sweet girl leaves us, but we know she has had the best care thanks to Dr. Thompson. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I have been taking my pets here for over 30 years. Dr Troy is wonderful. We have seen Dr Janessa and the other day Dr Sophie. They are all excellent vets. Many years ago we had them come to our home to euthanize our beloved pets (3 different times). They were amazing. Their prices have gone up but I do understand that inflation has hit hard. We will continue to use them!

My lab was dieing from eating something and the Emergency vet said he was fine and sent him home. Dr Thompson worked miracles and was able to save my 16 month old labs life. My wife and I were looking for a personable, quality clinic to take our pets to and read great reviews about Spirit of 76 Veterinary Clinic. We could not be any happier with our decision to try this clinic and now make it our primary. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. I felt our animals were very thoroughly examined and that our concerns were completely understood and addressed in the proper manner. The facilities were clean and noticeably up to date. We 100% recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone, you will not be disappointed.

Me and my dog mazzi visited this veturinarian multiple times in the last 2 weeks 1 for his new shots and then because he was a little under the weather I've received nothing but stellar service from the staff and the veterinarian and hes even called multiple times to follow up to actually check on how mazzi's doing Which is amazingly appreciated Great place to take your animals I feel that we got amazing care every time I've been there

Dr Troy and his staff are caring and professional. I have had dogs all my life and have been to numerous Vets through the years. Dr Troy really cares and his treatment and his concern is refreshing compared to other Vet clinics who seem most interested in the bill. Our dog, Beau, has seen Dr. Semandel for both of her back leg surgeries. He is an awesome vet and a great person! Very easy to talk to. He has *greatly* helped us through Beau's cancer diagnosis, giving us recommendations on doctors and specialty clinics. He has called to see how Beau is doing when he doesn't need to. Dr. Semandel has shown great care to Beau and we're beyond appreciative. We have recommended, and will continue to recommend, friends and family to Spirit.

We've been taking our German Shepherd, Wookie, here since he was a puppy. He's had a number of procedures done (surgically removing an abnormal growth, teeth cleaning, annual visits) and has always received great care. Wookie also has behavioral issues (anxiety and some fear aggression) and the staff has been able to recommend different options to ease his anxiety, from holistic to more traditional. Everyone at Spirit of 76 is very kind, patient, and willing to take the extra time to ensure the best care for all their clients. Even though we've moved out of the West Allis area, we've continued (and will continue) to bring Wookie to Spirit.

Pros: Staff are friendly and vets ask questions without being condescending. Cons: Expensive. They overcharged me and then put a credit on my account instead of my credit card; I notified the person immediately after receiving the receipt but he apparently was unable to credit my card. I overheard a staff member telling another staff member that they only slot in one appointment for a new patient per day. They'll keep moving out days until they have a "new patient" appointment available - even if that's months away (which I can confirm first hand from switching my animals there a year ago and needing to wait 2 months). They keep multiple appointments open every day for existing patients but will not give any away to new patients.

Would recommend. I called to get my cat who had run away and was gone for three months into the vet the day before Thanksgiving. I received a call back and a drop off appointment that Monday after the holiday weekend. While my cat was there the vet updated me twice each day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) and explained all my options. Good communication and great care.

Dr. Kelly and all the vet technician were great! I feel like they were honest and didn't push unnecessary tests. Dr. Kelly was great at calling and keeping me in the loop as to what she was seeing. They also worked to get my dog in the day that I called since she was having digestive issues. When I picked my dog up she seemed very happy and not stressed out. I called them when I noticed my dog had an infection after her heat cycle and they got me in within 48 hours for an appointment. once I got to the clinic they let me come in, put me right in a room didn’t make me wait outside like other clinics . I found out she had pyometra and they rushed her straight into surgery. They did a great job keeping me informed and up-to-date and 48 hours later I was able to pick up my dog with really thorough instructions on how to help her recover and now my dogs back at home doing well and recovering. Hands-down the best veterinarian clinic in the city

I'm really impressed by this clinic. We recently brought our cat in for a second opinion, and I was l really impressed by the efficient and effective service, so much so that I'll be taking our cat here permanently. The vet (Dr. Blessing) was incredibly informative and offered numerous different options for treatment. We received more information from her in one session than several appointments at my old vet. She, and the rest of the staff we've encountered, are really good with cats and the environment of the office is pretty relaxing for a stressed out animal. Prices are also very reasonable.

ANIMAL CARE: I have two ferrets and Dr. Lippmann shows knowledge and expertise in his diagnostics, followed by routine follow-up calls where he is always open to give advice on the details that you always forget when you are in the clinic. His diagnostic and treatment have restored my ferrets to health, and have taught me to be a more responsible and knowledgeable owner. He enables owners to better pet-management and care. STAFF AND APPOINTMENTS: Spirit of 76 staff really cares about your pet. They actually know them. Their health history is carefully tracked and followed. When you need an appointment, the staff is always looking for the way to accommodate to your pet's symptoms, and really work on getting your pet in. All staff show genuine liking of animals. HYGIENE: The clinic is sparkling clean and smells fresh and hygienic. I have never left my ferrets overnight, but the risk of infection would not worry me because of the general hygiene of the clinic.

If you are like me, you love your pet. I have been taking my dog to Spirit of 76 Veterinary Clinic for 11 years. They are prompt in returning calls and follow-up calls, when as a concerned "parent," I call with a problem. Not only are the staff and Vets friendly and understanding, they offer night time and weekend hours for those of us who work during the day. Last, but not least, their fees are reasonable, and I appreciate that, because face it, our pets are part of the family and we shouldn't have decide to bring them in or not because of the money factor. The staff of Spirit is one of the kindest and caring around. They are always willing to listen to what you need and do their very best to get you taken care of quickly. The doctors have been wonderful with our puppy who has seizures. They will make time for us even when their schedules are full. If you need care, this is the place to go.

Had a bad experience with another vet; this place has been night and day better. Reasonably priced and properly explains stuff. Reasonable price, our cat has possibly super-early kidney problems, so they tested her. They knew if she did it would be very very early stage so it wasn't urgent to get results so they explained this and asked if they could send the sample out for testing and though it would take longer, it would be cheaper. Little things like that are really nice to see. The facility is very nice and clean. Staff, not just the vet, were friendly and the vet was responsive with calling us for results and to check-up on our cat's status.

Very clean, friendly staff, pricing is excellent, and positive interactions for my animals! Usually pretty busy, but still feel comfortable and taken care of. Only down side is it is tricky to get someone on the phone, but I'm sure that is due to how busy they are, not from lack of effort from staff. They are good at calling back! Also the punny jokes on their sign give me a good chuckle when I drive past. :)

My little Peanut had some fatty tumors, one was quite large, the other two were small. While he was out, he had a dental as well. Dr. Samandel is an awesome doctor, the incisions healed like a dream, I am so, so happy with the outcome, and the cost was super reasonable for all that work. This was the first time that we had to take our doggie to the vet for his rabies and check up and that were couldn't go in with him because as you all know of this terrible virus. They came out and got him from our car and took real good care of him while he was in the clinic and then called on the phone to let us know how he did and then to be able to pay them. I've been going to the vet for 17 years. Using the same doctor doctor Troy Semandel. I had a Great Dane that he took care of for 10 years. When the dog died they were very caring and understanding. which help with the process. I have a current dog and he's not afraid to go in. They are very reasonable compared to other veterinarians. The old adage goes you get what you pay for. This Veterinarian you get a lot of bang for your buck. At the Veterinarian Clinic they are very skilled at what they do.

Everyone that works here are so friendly. I have a bearded dragon and she was egg bound and ended up having surgery to remove 57 eggs. They did a wonderful job with her, so caring and compassionate with your animals. She is now with eggs again and they are keeping an eye on her. There are not a lot of exotic vets around my area, and I am so glad that I found them. Would highly recommend them.

I've had 20+ dogs, some fosters, some mine...and I have Danes and Newfs...the big guys. They can come with big vet Bill's, everything seems to be double cost. That said, Spirit of 76th has always been reasonably priced, they care about the dogs well being, they're thorough, then staff is kind, the environment is clean and I have had only great experiences. My dogs LOVE going to the vet now! About 2 years ago I moved an hour away from the clinic. I still drove the dogs in....its worth it for the excellent care.

Friendly staff and much more reasonable pricing compared to my last vet. The doctor took the time to get to know me and the dogs, and did a thorough exam. They were not at all pushy about extra tests or buying heartworm meds from them - a nice contrast to my last vet. We will be back!

I took my dog there for the first time and was very impressed. They have a large staff, from vets, to techs, and assistants. The vet was caring and took a lot of time with the dog. He explained everything so I could understand it and pointed out the problems on the dogs body. The tech who gave me the medication for the dog took her time and also made sure I understood what to do. Great place!

The staff and doctors are the best. I went there for a second opinion and I will never go anywhere else. I drive 40 minutes and pass so many veterinarians to go here. They care about your pets like their own. They take the time to get to know you and what the problem is. I will be forever thankful for them. They helped me with my dog who had heart issues. Decided to switch to these vets after 3 years with my first and only vet. My last vet dished out a lot of contradictory & nonsensical advice and prescriptions, but I've gotten none of that here. Spirit's staff really focus on good communication with pet owners, and give solid advice. They proactively let you know about conditions you didn't know to check for. They teach you to take better care of your pet.

What a wonderful find! I saw Dr Anji Lippmann with my dog Annie. She was down to earth and very knowledgeable. I liked that she discussed all options before we decided on what type of treatment we would go forward with. The staff was very friendly. The office is small but clean. I've searched long & hard for a veterinary clinic to impress me. It's not that I'm unreasonable, but I truly want the very best care and compassion for my dogs. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Blessing, and she immediately made me feel as there was no need to look further. She had all the qualities I was looking for in a vet. I wasn't rushed when asking questions, and she truly was genuinely concerned. In this fast paced world of a quick buck and get the customer out fast, it was refreshing to feel the opposite. When I brought my Dempsey in, she was gasping and coughing...I was in line to check in, when Adrianna heard her. She reacted immediately and took her into an oxygen chamber, and didn't worry about the check-in formalities first. This was an awesome observation on her part! Kudos to her! My dog & cats healthcare is important to them. They are on top of reminders and things I need to be aware of. We all love our pets and want them to be around for a long time. When it's time to talk about letting pets go...they were very caring. Thanks for the special people that work there.

They do a pretty good job of taking care of my daughter's puppies. They seem to really be trying to follow guidelines to prevent the spread of Co-vid. However I think they could be doing a little better to keep the lobby, seating areas, and patient rooms cleaned, I am pretty sure there was some dried animal poo or at least what appeared to be on there couch. It did seem like the staff was a bit overwhelmed with being busy as usual. I think they might need to hire a few more people. The wait to checkout took forever. I also had an incident where I lost my 10 year old American Bull Dog under anesthesia there. My dogs head had become extremely swollen and painful so the Veterinarian stated he would need to examine him while being under for his and my dog's safety. My dog was never aggressive and actually in the past had saved an injured pigeon by licking it back to life. I assume the licking caused stimulation of the heart bringing the bird back from some sort of cardiac trauma brought on by injury. However he was a little growly and bity towards the vet and even me when trying to look at his mouth to see what was wrong. I was warned that there was the possibility that he might not pull through it as he was in congestive heart failure. However, I figured that my dog was strong enough to pull through it and that the vet would take every precaution necessary to get him through it. Unfortunately he didn't get through it. It was very upsetting to me not only because of the loss of my Tiggerr pup but because I wasn't able to be there when he passed and to be able to give him any sort of comfort or to say goodbye. It also seemed as though the vet seemed to know exactly what it was all of a sudden which was an autoimmune disease called Masticatory muscle myositis (MMM). I am sure though this was because he was able to finally fully examine him. Also my dog had similar symptoms like this once before and it was misdiagnosed as an allergic reaction to a bug bite and was treated with a corticosteroid injecton. Which is also the treatment for MMM. He had also been getting corticosteroids for many years due to allergies so we were accidentally treating him for the disease his whole life. I also thought the care for his heart was a little lacking especially as I paid several extra hundreds of dollars for a cardiologist work up to just tell us to keep doing what we already were doing which was just to give him a water pill. They also dropped the ball on repeated ear infections. It was by my suggestion that they finally take a bacterial culture of his ear to figure out the proper course of antibiotics which is what finally cleared it up. I believe some of this was due to the fact a lot of times we would see different doctors and that they may be seeing too many different patients and are unable to get familiar with the health history of the animals. Even through all of this I still go there because there staff is always very caring, knowledgeable and friendly. I have tried other vets in the Milwaukee area and I have also had the same missteps in diagnosise and treatments as well as lack luster care. I would say by far that the Spirit of 76 are the best in the area at what they have to offer for their care. They have also seemed to stabilize what vet is seeing my daughter's pups as we have had the same vet for almost every recent visit with her doggos. Even though he is the same one that was taking care of my Tiggerr pup when he passed I don't put any blame on him as I know he did what he thought was right with Tiggerr and I was forewarned of the possibility of it being an issue and it was ultimately my choice to go ahead with it. It is also obvious that he felt terrible about the situation and genuinely cares about animals. Even though wait times for appointments and care can be lengthy and certain things can be pricey there I feel you are getting what you pay for which is good and knowledgeable care as well as readily available in house diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Dr. Lipman, the other vets and staff at the Spirit of 76 are the best I have ever experienced. They take A-1 care of my dogs. The facility and staff have the ability to handle many difficult health issues that other facilities are not capable of handling. They don't try to push unnecessary costs onto you for things that your pet does not need. The prices they charge are within reason. If I would have taken my dog to a different facility when he had spinal meningitis, he most likely would not have survived. Thank you--to all at Spirit of 76.

I got my very own puppy for the very first time. WOW!! I didn't realize how much work and expense it would be. But I must say to me it has been all worth it. Housebreaking has been the biggest challenge, but even that now at 4-1/2 months has gotten better. I believe she's finally getting it. I invested in a little book through Thriftbooks. I would highly recommend, it's called "How to Housebreak your dog in 7 days" I bought a separate copy for Sofie's vet as a gift for being so kind to me and cutting my bill down so I could afford to do for her what needed to be done. Very generous and very much appreciated. Thank you again Spirit of 76 Veterinary Clinic. I had thought about how I was going to find a vet service for Sofie. But the lady I got Sofie from already had been bringing her to dogs here. I followed, and I am very pleased. It's a very busy little place, but it bright and cheery when you walk in, along with it's clean you don't smell any dog stuff. And the staff ROCKS, all very kind and very forthcoming with their knowledge. Sofie and I will be their customers for a long time. During the Covid19 crisis our Persian Gingersnap became very sick. We were very worried about her. We were able to bring her to the clinic and they examined her, did tests, and gave her some fluids. I only write reviews when I have impeckable service. Spirit of 76th is the best clinic in the greater Milwaukee area. I travel 30 minutes for my animals to be seen here. I trust their staff and the services they provide. They are not about making money and truly CARE about the animals they treat. Dr. Voss is an AMAZING doctor who I highly recommend. I had an older cat pass due to cancer and he sent a personalized card with his condolences. I recently accepted new kitten into our home who unfortunately had to go to WVRC ER due to a swollen paw from a bandage being on too tight after a routine blood draw at Spirit of 76th Street. The vet tech did not give instruction on when it should have been removed. These things happen, we are only human. To make up for their mistake, Dr. Voss called and offered a full refund for the bills that were inquired. This screams GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Spirit of 76th!

I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 d/t the exotics vet not knowing what ferrettone / ferret lax was. It made me uncomfortable for them to serve my ferrets if they didn't know something so -to me- ferrety common knowledge. Spirit continues to serve our cats and dogs, just not our exotics. All employees are incredibly courteous, we are always seen quickly, and records are updated promptly. Never had any concerns with any mix-ups or vet choices.

The staff is friendly and professional. They make you feel confident that your pet will receive the best care. The waiting area is clean and if an animal has an accident, it's cleaned up quickly. Every vet my cats have seen have been wonderful. You can tell they really like animals, unlike the vets and staff at my old clinic.
