The grooming services are excellent. Heather is always careful with our mini-doodle, making sure that there's no water in her ears that could lead to nasty (and costly) ear infections. Jazzy is particular about letting folks touch her face, and Heather gets the job done with love and patience. They book out, so plan ahead!

We’ve taken our dog to Dr. Carmichael for over 2 years. She’s very knowledgeable, gentle and compassionate with our girl. When we found out we were having puppies she pointed us in the right direction and educated us on the process and how to best keep our mom and her puppies safe and healthy. The entire staff is always welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend Windham Animal Hospital. Also, when I initially researched looking for our vet, I realized many of the other local vets did not have the equipment and resources that WAH has on site. In the past my dog Danni has hated visits to the vets. At Windham, she is very receptive of the vets and technicians care.The vets take time to explain Danni’s needs, treatment and follow up plan before we leave the office. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere and attitudes. Danni has been treated by two of the vets and they have done a very good job of taking care of her needs. They were also very accommodating to my needs when I couldn't take Danni inside for her appointment. They provided valet service. I highly recommend Windham Animal Hospital. Another plus is the cleanliness of the establishment.

Great vets and vet technicians at this office. The office and treatment rooms are very clean. The vets actually take time to talk to you about your pet. The front desk staff are warm and friendly. There is also a fantastic grooming shop attached.

I love love love this vets office. The vets are competent, pet/people friendly and take the time to explain all pet option(s) in detail. They will do exactly what you ask for and nothing more. The office staff always get's me in for anything urgent and I have 4 pets - 2 dogs and 2 cats. The reminder postcards help keep me informed about when my pets need their vaccinations and office visits. A five star organization, after leaving the Salem vets practice I went to Windham. In Salem I was assured my pet wouldn't have an allergic reaction to the lepo vaccine well she did and they forgot to medicate her prior (listed in the records they didn't take the time to read) So glad I changed to Windham Animal Hospital. A very caring place!

One of the better Vets in Windham area! Have been using them for over 25 years and they are more of your traditional practice with good staff, easy location and up front good care for your pets! I would highly recommend them to anyone that does not want to shell out big $$ for unnecessary procedures and direction.

The staff at the front desk are helpful and always nice. However, the vets are largely unavailable. Getting an appointment takes months. I had to go to another vet to have my dogs seen to renew their routine heartworm meds and incontinence meds because I couldn’t get an appointment, and they wouldn’t give me the script without a physical exam. (I never had to do that in any other state.) That being said, the vets are knowledgeable. You just have to be able to say no to the random tests they always want to run. I wish I could give them a better review because I do like the vet we use here; however, the business/office has made it more about the cost of treatment rather than treatment itself.

Brought my 10 week old puppy to the vet for her first visit. This visit could set the stage for her life long attitude toward visiting the vet. It was a positive experience for her despite having a couple of “ouchy” moments like having her temperature taken and getting a vaccination. Dr Carmichael actually sat on the floor and completed the examination with the puppy jumping all over her. Rather than poking and prodding which could have been uncomfortable, the exam was fun for the puppy. She got treats to make things even more pleasant. Dr Carmichael is the best. I took home a happy puppy who loved the attention that the whole staff gave her. I recommend Windham Animal Hospital highly for pets young and old.

I asked the price of the visit beforehand, but when it was time to pay it was more. I was told there are now office visit changes to help with the overhead costs. I’m wondering why I wasn’t told beforehand, because what if I didn’t have enough money at the time of this visit. Not very professional.

First off, with Covid, it is very hard to stay outside while your pet gets checked. My poor guy had a wound on his head that ended up infected. Everyone at the Windham hospital was absolutely amazing. They were so sweet to my baby and made me feel at ease about his care. I am impressed with the vet and was thankful for having different options to my dogs care. The actual doctor herself was knowledgeable and very empathetic. During this crazy time with Covid-19, I was hesitant to take my dog to the vets but she was due for her annual checkup. I am a Dental Hygienist so I fully understand the challenges we are all facing. I took my dog for her checkup and was quite impressed with Windham Animal Hospitals way of safely taking care of our pets and their employees. It was so simple to check in by waiting in my car and calling to say I had arrived. Someone came out to take my dogs information and to take my dog in. The vet then came out to talk to me when she finished my dogs check-up. She was so pleasant even though it was in the 90's out and gave me more than adequate information about my dog. Then my dog was brought out to my car and my credit card was taken and the bill was processed and my card was returned to me, It was such a comfortable environment and of course I highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much for the great care you have given to my dog. She loves you all too!!!!

I started going to Windham Animal Hospital because my old vet was working there I found out through the grapevine after he sold his own practice. He worked there a few years and had to move on. I now work with Dr. Carmichael who I think is just fantastic. She's a great person. Very very friendly and just a sweet heart. A very good vet of course and I'm very particular. The other vets that work there are very nice also and I've recommended them to lots of my puppy purchasers. It's difficult to find a new vet when you've worked so many years with the same person but the transition to Dr. Carmichael was easy because of her great personality and the way she treats people. She gets 10 stars from me.

I decided to check out the Windham animal hospital because my GSD pup fractured his toes and I have been SO amazed by them. I feel like I hit the jack pot with these guys! I brought my pup and one of my cats in for their annual exam and shots. They are currently doing curb side care. I was greeted quickly. They brought them in one by one. Everything was explained to me clearly. My cat had an infection we didn’t know about. They were able to treat it while we were there and then we were on our way. My pup had a few shots and a nail trim and returned with a smile and a wagging tail. I love that the cost always comes in under my expected budget.

I have been using Dr Durner for 9 years now and she is amazing. I always feel as though she were treating my pet as if he belonged to her. She is as thorough as she is caring and even found a tiny cancer spot in my dogs ear when he was only a few months old. I took my dog Sasha with a lump on her belly and find out that she had an almost half pound mass on her spleen. They operated her and she is doing great. As price goes, I think comparing with I big hospital, was very reasonable. Dr Rabideau in special was incredible and very caring and kind to us. Windham Animal Hospital took fantastic care of our dog in a recent visit. The tech was helpful and listened to all of our concerns before taking him inside to be looked at by the doctor. Then the doctor called be to explain her findings and recommendations. They respected my feelings about certain medications and found alternatives to keep our 14 year old Samoyed healthy! As if that wasn't enough, after waiting for a while in the car, I realized that my battery died! The tech grabbed her keys and gave me a jump start! Talk about full service!! Thank you all!

Took my senior cat in to emergency and found Windham Animal staff to be patient and understanding and Doctor able to discuss options and finances before spending my money. All questions were answered and they emailed me and my Veteranary practice all invoices and the test results. I called the next day with a question about the medication and was encouraged to call anytime. Would recommend and am recommending this practice to anyone with pets. This practice is a wonderfull service for pet owners under the stress of a sick animal. They even do cremations should that service be needed. I am so glad I took my cat there and thanks to them he is doing better!

After calling three other places and being denied care for my pet, I called Windham Animal Hospital. I had an appointment for my pet in an hour and I am insanely grateful for that. My pet was given a treatment plan for what is likely a flare-up for a condition she had suffered from some years ago, and she appears to be recovering. I will NOT be returning to Windham Animal Hospital. The attitude of the veterinarian left me upset and worried at the end of the appointment. I had asked if she felt confident that this was related to the prior diagnosis, and that this treatment would help my cat recover. The veterinarian said; "I don't know. It could be a tumor in her intestine for all I know. I don't know." This really disturbed me and came off as completely unnecessary, as there had been no mention of tumors or problems with her intestines! Instead of providing any level of comfort, this veterinarian chose to douse me in fear. I just wanted to know if she believed in what she was telling me and giving me as a treatment, and her response was worse than a 'no'. I left feeling confused and upset over that comment. My cat received emergency care and seems better off, but I am going to follow up elsewhere.

Absolutely love Windham Animal Hospital. I don’t know how they do it, but they always choose the best of the best. My parents started going here about 30 years ago and they won’t ever go anywhere else. I’ve tried other places but ended up back to where my dog was treated with as much respect and most importantly, LOVE, as I am. I have been taking my pets to Windham Animal Hospital since 2005. I have had 4 German Shepherds over the years and they have done a wonderful job of caring for them when they were sick. My present GSD is a rescue and she has had so many medical problems since I got her. Dr. Pearson has worked so wonderfully with me to bring my dog to a healthy position today. Windham animal hospital is the best. I started taking my pets there in 2013. I had 2 dogs then, Josie and Chelsea. I had to put both of them Dow in June and March of the same year. Not only did they care for my dogs when they where here if they needed any care, but they were so awesome when I had to put them down it was done so humanly. Over the past 27 years or so, we have been taking generations of our dogs to WAH. Treatments ranged from wellness check, vaccinations, major surgery and cancer treatment, so the full spectrum. They have even come to our house to perform euthanasia service, so our pet would not be afraid during its last moments - not a service normally offered by vets. I have entrusted the medical care, boarding and grooming of my beloved dogs to the doctors and staff for more than 20 years and have complete confidence and faith them. We LOVE Dr. Clemmer! We saw her originally by chance at an emergency visit for a hematoma on our dog, Gunners ear. He has a lot of food and environmental allergies, and she was so helpful in treating him and his itchy skin. Not long after, he was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy with congestive heart failure. Dr. Clemmer has been so compassionate and informative with his treatment. He isn’t the easiest dog at the vet (he has anxiety and doesn’t get along well with other dogs) and the staff is always so accommodating. They get us in and out without having to see other dogs. Dr. Clemmer treats our pup with so much care, we can finally feel at ease when bringing him to the vet. What used to be such a stressful experience for all of us has turned into easy, stress free trips! We are so happy we found Dr. Clemmer!

While I wish it could cost less to treat her, $140 for physical, rabies vacc, skin scraping and abx +dewormer, she went over all the cost before treatment. Her service to us was amazing! She took the extra time and worked the costs out for us so we could start treatment, if that doesn’t work we move to the next step on my budget. I appreciate her time and thought put into my new kitties health and my budget instead of making me feel guilty for not being able to do all tests that day. My dog was hit by a car yesterday at about 230pm, Windham was the first stop. The doctors and staff stabilized her external wounds and called ahead to the emergency hospital for them to conduct a full evaluation, xrays and surgery if necessary. When my dog arrived to the emergency hospital she was turned away because their surgeon was out until Wednesday (not Windham's fault). Not knowing what to do, we brought my dog home to keep her comfortable having no idea what was to come. At about 645pm, Windham called us to check on Sadie. They had called the emergency hospital to follow up on Sadie and learned that the ER had turned her away. They called us immediately and had someone to come in to get antibiotics, pain meds, and set up an appointment for first thing this morning. Today, the staff were understanding and compassionate. They explained everything that had occurred so far and what Dr. Clemmins planned on doing today. It involved xrays, blood work, cleaning and redressing her wounds and then the cost was reviewed. About an hour later, as we were advised it would be about an hour, Dr. Clemmins came in and reviewed the xrays, had called MVRH ahead of time and explained what we had already been through. Dr. Clemmins sent the records over to the ER hospital every way she could. She was very concerned and apologetic about what had occurred. Windham did everything they were supposed to and more. If it wasn't for their concern and follow up for my dog and everything they did that followed, I would not be as optimistic and relaxed as we wait for the final plan at the er. I truly appreciate Dr. Clemmins and the staff for their compassion and attention to our emergency.

On August 23, 2016 my 2 dogs had a tussle over a tennis ball. One dog got hurt and I called Windham Veterinary Hospital where I am an established customer. I called and spoke with the answering service twice, finally after 45 minutes Dr. Pearson calls me back. I described the incident and that the dog was now vomitting blood and headed to the Rockingham Emergency Clinic since it took 45 minutes to hear back. The dog required surgery to stitch up the gash on her gums in the mouth. The tooth marks on her chest damaged the intercostal space between her ribs needed a drain to prevent infection. Dr. Pearson when she called me told me that Rockinham was the better place to go since Windham Animal Hospital is not set up for surgery. Dr. Salkovitch performed major surgery on one of my other dogs 2 weeks ago, therefore yes they do surgical care. A year ago Dr. Pearson refused to treat an 8 week old puppy that was in need of care, Dr. Salkovitch did what he could by meeting me on the road and asked me to bring puppy into clinic the following day which I did do. The puppy passed away, Dr. Salkovitch stated that if the puppy has received earlier care then it would have pulled through. Twice I have needed the services of Dr. Pearson and each time she blames it on the answering service in not getting the messages. Dr. Salkovitch, Dr. Connolly, the Windham Animal Hospital office staff, techs, I am all satisfied with. Dr. Pearson is someone to stay away from. In the future when I do need their services if Dr. Pearson is the doctor on call, then I will not wait and immediately go to the Rockingham Emergency Clinic in Windham. I find Dr. Pearson to be totally useless and now would not trust her services.

One involved transposing numbers of the bill and I was undercharged, which prompted a call from them to let me know I owed a balance. Secondly, upon review of the bill, I was overcharged for a prescription item. It all worked out in the end, just required some unnecessary calls and back and forth.

A stray cat that would come to our house for food recently was hit by a car. 2 very compassionate women picked him up and brought him to a local vet that couldn't be bothered. After that they took the injured cat to Windham Animal Hospital where they stopped everything to help. They did xrays and determined that the little guy was too badly hurt. They were very kind and helped relieve the animal of his pain helping him pass on. The people at WAH were absolutely caring and upset about the cat's misfortune.
