Bedford Animal Hospital has taken care of all my animals from health needs to grooming, even kennel when they offered it! My pets have always been comfortable being there and the staff goes above and beyond. I won’t consider anywhere else for my pets because the care and attention is what matters the most for my lovies ❤️ Thank you for always looking out for our pets and their well being - it’s been a great 17 years so far!

If I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would! I moved to NH about a year ago and recently switched local vets due to some issues. My dog had an injury and his new patient appointment was 2 months away.. I was worried and called and they did what they could to accommodate seeing my boy that same day! My dog is skeptical and scared of the vet but the staff here was so incredibly amazing with helping him feel at ease. He was even wagging his tails and giving kisses which he would NEVER do at our old vet! The doctors, techs and other staff are very knowledgeable and thorough in what they do. It wasn’t a rushed exam either, they took their time and checked everything they could with the needed tests- explaining everything the entire time for me. Communication here is top notch! The mom and pop feel makes this entire place even better! I am so incredibly happy to find a group of people who loves and cares about my dog and his health just like I do. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

I had a not so great experience getting my first cat fixed at a different vet so I was a little nervous about getting my second cat fixed, but the staff at Bedford animal hospital took great care of him. It’s obvious they genuinely care about the animals they treat and want to make sure their time at the vet is as positive and little stressful as possible. My older cat that I had previously taken to a different vet became very anxious and traumatized around going to the vet, but at Bedford they were so gentle and understanding with her. They did what they needed to do to make sure she’s healthy without being aggressive or causing her a lot of stress. I’m so glad I started taking my cats to this vet.

We first brought one of our cats to Bedford Animal Hospital during the pandemic. Because of this, we weren't able to go in with our pet. He had a check up, some grooming, a vaccine. All was well. Today (a year later), we brought our other cat. We were able to go in this time and what a wonderful experience for both the cat and me. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. Then we met the loving and kind Vet Asst (Jordan) who immediately made my pet feel at home. Last, but certainly not least, Dr. Sofield who was kind, knowledgeable, gentle and thorough. I was worried about how my pet would behave behave he's normally skittish, but I'm fairly certain he sensed this was a safe place because he seemed comfortable and curious. I can't say enough great things about this place and the people that work here. Thank you, Bedford Animal Hospital!

I will never regret switching to this office 9 years ago. They are the most caring group of people working there. They love my animals as if they were their own. They are not about the money and will do anything to avoid extra testing and unnecessary costs. They even donated light therapy sessions to my dog years ago from a patient who had already paid for hers and her animal had passed. I cannot say enough how wonderful this office is!

I have two senior dogs now and they have been very kind and helpful as both my pups and I navigate this tricky time in their lives. Despite having a full schedule they have been able to get us in when urgent care is needed and have made referrals when it has been outside their scope, rather than wasting my time and money. My 2.5 year sheepadoodle was weirdly anxious our last visit. We had a bad ear infection the visit prior so I’m sure that’s why he was uneasy. This place is absolutely amazing. The Staff and Dr.Watts at Bedford animal hospital were excellent. My wife and I have been bringing our Cavalier Spaniel “Lyla” to the Bedford Animal Hospital since she was born nine years ago. During those years, whenever we needed to bring Lyla over for any reason, I was always impressed with each of the doctors’ immediate familiarity with both Lyla’s background of specific conditions and past treatments, etc., as well as with the peculiarities of her particular breed. I always felt that she was getting the best possible care, which also includes the care provided by the clerical and assistant staff, who always have a welcoming, patient, and concerned attitude despite how busy they might be. Since we used to board our dog there over vacation times, we’re also hoping that circumstances will allow for the resumption of that service as well. In any event, we give Bedford Animal Hospital our highest recommendation.

Dr Sofield is an awesome DR. We moved away from the area and have gone to other Vets but were not as happy. We decided to drive all the way back to him for a second opinion. Dr. Scofield and the crew at Bedford Animal Hospital have always been nothing and I mean NOTHING! But, the BEST to me and Fiona (and Jake my previous pup). My cat became inexplicably sick and Bedford animal hospital was able to see her immediately. The vet was very helpful and didn't recommend unnecessary services like other vets have in the past; she recognized that it was an old cat and we shouldn't be pressured into spending money on several diagnostic tests when we were unlikely to opt for surgery. The animal hospital was very considerate and flexible when we made a difficult choice and they gave us time to say goodbye. I would recommend Bedford animal hospital and would bring my other pets there in the future.

I grew up in a small town and only had one vet for our family to take our pets to. They were so awesome, but I never realized how wonderful they were until we moved to Manchester in 1987. I brought my cats to several different vets when we first moved down here and was so unsatisfied. In 1989 we discovered the Bedford Animal Hospital and have never looked back, in fact they have exceeded my satisfaction I had from the vet that I took my cats to when I was growing up. The first asset of this facility is the loving and caring staff. They treat your pets as your family member. They have a great love for animals and it shows from the moment you walk into the office. I also never feel pressure that I need to have procedures done for my animals and if I chose not to have something done, they are supportive and respect my decisions. I have been coming to this facility for over 25 years so I have lost a few pets. All of the staff are absolutely wonderful as we grieved. In February, I knew my 19 year old cat needed to be put down. I called on a Saturday night, (knowing that they are closed on Sunday), asking to get an appointment to put her down on Monday. They told me I could take her to the emergency vet, but I told them I just couldn't have anyone else do this. Even though they were double booked, they found a spot on that Monday to bring her in. Every staff member is so compassionate and understanding in these difficult times. It is the hardest decision to make to put a family member down and the Bedford Animal Hospital has that understanding. The staff grieve with you when you lose your beloved pet and rejoice with you when you welcome a new member to your family. They are the best and I could not go anywhere else and feel this strongly about this wonderfully staffed facility. Thank you, Bedford Animal Hospital for all that you have done for us for over 25 years!! We love you!

The staff is very friendly, the doctors answer all questions (no matter how small) and have treated our dogs with real loving care. I never felt rushed and always had a good experience - even in the case of an emergency. Our GSDs have had surgery here with very good results. The prices paid for their services have been inline with other hospitals. It is also nice to have the grooming facility at the same office. I highly recommend this hospital. Update: I have been taking my dogs here for over 12yrs. All the vets, assistants and groomers are kind, helpful and very experienced. You could not find a better full service veterinary hospital.

Our chihuahua Chip has been visiting Bedford Animal Hospital since we got him, he was 6 weeks old. The staff is already part of his family. They're not only excellent and competent professionals, but they're loving and caring. Chip went through surgery for his cherry eye, neutering and microchip and they kept us updated with photos and calls. They're always willing to listen and help, and very patient with mommy's worries. I couldn't think of a better place for my puppy to be taken care of and spoiled. I'm 100% certain Chip's in good hands every time I take him on a visit. I highly recommend it.

I was able to get an appointment quickly, even for just a checkup/establish care visit for my two cats. The staff and doctor (Dr. Koenig, if I recall) were very friendly and professional and gave great advice. They were very patient with my less-than-tolerant cats. The office location is perfect for me as well.

This was our vet for 2 years and we'd still be with them if we still lived in the Manchester area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they remembered our cat every time we came. The exams were done with a soft, but firm hand, to avoid scaring the animals, but still getting it done. They were available for a multitude of needs, from basic exams and grooming, to medications, teeth extraction, even gum lasering.

Down to earth and well educated. Anything out of the norm that has come up with my dog, like when he threw his back out (who new a dog could do that) they knew a lot about treatment and care. I’ve known a lot of vets that don’t know much other than the day to day unfortunately (google something weird and quizzing yours). They offer a real approach, not fufu like Acupuncture or something. Reasonably priced appointments and discounts on item you can order from their website. Great vets all round.
