I cannot put into words how much I appreciate Hopewell and trust Dr. Brown! In the 8ish years we've been going to Hopewell, we've had up to 4 dogs and 2 cats. The majority of the time, it's been 2 dogs, Buster & Bella (litter mates), and 1 cat, Bennie, so I'll focus there. We transferred to Hopewell around 8 years ago from another animal hospital, that we felt was overpriced. After being told about the staff and doctors here, we decided to give it a shot. The costs seemed fair and we were informed when something was an option vs a necessity. The staff & doctors were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. In the years to follow, the practice has grown. Most days the office/waiting area is bustling with animals and their people. Sometimes appointments run a tad behind, but that seems to happen when they've had emergencies come up that morning. The reason I know this is that they apologize for running behind and explain why, which I appreciate. As someone who has been on the other side of one of those emergencies, I also appreciate their willingness to help in a crisis. Approximately two years ago, they detected a heart murmur in Buster & referred us to a cardiologist for him. We were given a diagnosis and a life expectancy of 1-2 years. In January, his condition started deteriorating quickly. After his passing in February, Bella had multiple issues arise. In the last several months, I have had to call the emergency line (more than once), I have texted photos/vidoes/information, I have left frantic & teary voicemail. I have always been treated with respect and a caring voice. One of the hardest calls I've ever made, the one to let them know Buster had passed away (EARLY AM hours) was returned almost immediately. There are a lot of things that Hopewell has done or recommended for us and/or our animals. Some of those seem small, but none of them go unappreciated. Transferring the care of Buster, Bella, and Bennie to Hopewell was one of the best decisions I've made. There may be other practices around, but none that I've found that have bigger hearts. From the bottom of (all of) ours, thank you so very much for all that you do!

We ended up here because of an emergency situation and have switched to them permanently. Both vets we've worked with are patient, taking plenty of time to talk and make sure we understand what is going on. I love the online tool to talk to the office as well. I'm able to submit pictures and videos for feedback which has been so helpful.

This is the best Vet I've taken my pets to. The staff is great and caring. Dr. Brown is the best with your pets best quality of life in mind. They also do not over charge or nickel and dime you on things your pet doesn't need.

Nice place, clean very knowledgeable and caring . the people are very nice. The only thing when you call them and the girl answers the phone you can barely hear her. When I was there to pick up my dog and she was answering the phone I figured out why you couldn't understand or hear her, she puts the phone on her shoulder and the mouth piece us under her chin!! Please put the phone receiver up to your mouth!! Thanks for taking great care of my furbaby!

Helpful, friendly and thoughtful for your pet's needs as well as your pocketbook. They are supportive no matter what your pet is going through and help you make good choices for your pet's health and happiness. My cat is not responding well to his medication, and Dr. Brown and Dr. Middlecamp have spent a great deal of time researching other options while also running a very busy clinic. I greatly appreciate their time and efforts and hope they will result in a positive outcome.

Had such a pleasant experience today at Hopewell Animal Hospital! Today was our first appointment with Dr. Brown. I was searching for a veterinarian with experience with Addisons Disease and it's been hard to come by but Dr. Brown answered all my questions and discussed her treatment plan. Immediately after talking through my concerns I feel 100% better and relieved that my lab is going to be under her care! We have two other dogs that will be joining Dr. Brown's practice when they're due next for shots!

Obnoxious Dog Mom Approved! From major "I accidentally ate a whole Nerf ball" surgery to routine exams and ear infections, they are highly-skilled, kind, professional and reasonably priced. When I had to leave my pup overnight, I wasn't worried (which is unlike me) because I knew he was in good hands. I switched to Hopewell a year ago from a vet I really loved because we moved and I was anxious about the transition. Hopewell doctors and staff have been absolutely wonderful and we appreciate them all so much. I feel so lucky to have found them. I also LOVE that they work with local rescues to help keep their costs low which allow them to save more animals!

After years with another vet we started to feel like a bottomless checkbook, we are crazy about our animals and it seemed like that vet knew it and started to exploit it. Expensive tests were being ran and results were not being discussed, appointments seemed to come a little too often, etc. A neighbor recommended we try out Dr. Brown at Hopewell and she has been incredible. Dr. Brown always lays out everything very clearly and isn't afraid to tell us when we are overreacting to something. I always feel she has our pets' best interest at heart, not what procedure will make her firm the most money, which is incredibly refreshing. The rest of her staff is just as great, everyone is very warm and friendly, even with our talkative elder dog that I know has to drive them crazy =-) Could not recommend a vet any higher.

As the mother of 4 babies, three small dogs and one cat, I can say this is the BEST care they've ever received. I can ask any question and they always find a way to help. Best prices for shots and products that I've found in town! The doctors take TIME with owners and don't rush through the visit to meet a time requirement or act like your concerns aren't important. I HIGHLY recommend Hopewell for any owner wanting their fur baby to be well taken care of and loved the same!

Dr. Brown is amazing. She is one of the only reasons my rescue dog is doing as well as he is. Between his heart worm treatment, skin infection, parasites, and many many other issues she has been there to help him (and me because I am always a wreck) through all of it. She is always available when I need to get in for an emergency and she helps so many of the foster dogs with the rescue that I work with. If you are looking for a very dedicated and caring vet Dr. Brown is the one!

Been here 3 years with 3 dogs (All medium/large breed, one was puppy), from regular yearly check-ups to rescued puppy checkup/skin disease to wound care. They've taken care of us through a wide range of issues. Honestly priced and they give full hearted care in exchange. Dr. Brown and the staff are amazing and caring. Hours are great even for full time M-F working folks. They take walk-ins if you have an urgent-ish case and gives great recommendations and options if you have any additional concerns. They listen and work with you every single time.

I was in to see Dr Brown again yesterday with one of my foster puppies and every time i go there, which is fairly often as of late, i am reminded how fortunate i am to have found this place. Not only does she have the knowledge to diagnose and treat the animals but just as important to me, she really CARES about them and treats them as if they were her own pet. She even met me after hours on a weekend to see one of my dogs that was having what i thought was a serious issue. She also works with many of the local rescues which further speaks to her genuine love for the animals. The staff there are also friendly, knowledgeable and helpful AND the place has convenient hours and is open on Saturdays!!!! Can’t say enough good things about Hopewell.

It was later in the day and my normal vet was full and unable to get me in. My cat's tail was partially degloved and she needed to have surgery as soon as possible. I called and they worked me in even though I was not a client. The staff had a full roster but they got Nova taken care of even while having to stay after❤! Great experience and great outcome!

Over seven decades I have given my many cats and dogs (large, small, pure bred and mixed) the best vet care I could find -- local, in several states, and even in expensive university intensive care settings. Now comes Dr. Amanda Brown, who is the best diagnostician I have ever had. My beautiful, sweet Birman cat is under her care now. My precious Bella, had not been doing well for months. Three (three!) different vets in Louisville worked with her. Then someone suggested Dr. Brown, whose clinic is far from my house, but I figured my cat is worth more than time and gas. Dr. Brown had Bella fully diagnosed in hours. Bella's situation is complex and quite severe, but we are working hard in efforts to save her. Whatever happens, I want you to know that in my opinion, there's no way you can do better than Dr. Brown anywhere. (Plus her bills are reasonable.) I admire her beyond words.

Doc Brown and all of the staff at Hopewell are absolutely amazing! I used the same vet for almost 20 years and a couple of years ago when they all got a cough, my vet refused to see them and told me to go to an emergency vet. A friend recommended just calling Hopewell to see what they'd recommend. Doc Brown had me leave the dogs in the car and she came outside, fully suited up so no other clients could catch anything possibly contagious... diagnosed them, gave them meds and they got better. I immediately switched over to Hopewell and don't regret it one bit. From my big GSD babies to my little 5lb yorkie, they take THE best care of my babies from regular check ups, to xrays , surgeries and other visits we've had to make. I recommend them to anyone who wants THE best care for their furbabies!

She has steadily built up a clientele of devoted clients because we all know with our own personal pets that she will go above and beyond to get to the bottom of a health issue. Dr. Brown believes all companion pets deserve an equal chance at life regardless if they came from a home, off the street or a rescue group. The Shamrock Foundation is one of Louisville's local animal welfare/rescue/spay/neuter groups who has been blessed by Dr. Brown's generosity and heart for many years.

We have just handed the care and well being of our animals over to her and never waivered. She saved our 7 week old Scottie puppy from the deadly Parvo virus with around the clock care. She nursed back to health our 2 year old Scottie after he had been attacked. Thank you to all and I would highly recommend them.

She has done mutiple surgeries on my 13 yr old Boxer and my dog never did well at all afterwards before we met Dr. Brown . I don't give many endorsements, but want to share that our dog Luka (did what puppies do) and ate a sock, which got lodged in her stomach and would not pass. **Hopewell Animal Hospital - Dr. Amanda Brown** went above and beyond with taking good care of her. Dr. Brown stayed in complete conversation along with sending me pics / updates throughout the process. We have used her since Luka came to live with us and have been so pleased with them. She is very reasonable with the expense. Her facility is brand new and most importantly Dr. Brown and her staff have Huge hearts for our 4 legged animals.
