Bridal Suite Louisville

Since moving to Louisville in 2004, we’ve been using Animal Medical Center for our 4 cats, and the care has been exceptionally good. Both Dr. Hofmeister and Dr Allen have been nothing short of amazing! We had to make the difficult decision today to say goodbye to our 18 year old cat. Dr Keith examined her first to help assure us that we were truly making the right decision. She really gave us the clarity my husband and I truly needed. ~And the staff was most comforting, too. If you’re looking for exceptional care for your fur-babies, look no further. The staff at AMI is hands down, the BEST in town!❤️❤️❤️

I cannot say enough good things about AMC! Unfortunately, I have a frequent flyer but they take wonderful care of him each and every time we visit. Back in February, we had an emergency and I will never forget their kindness even after we had gone to an ER. Everyone from the sweet ladies up front to both Dr. Hertelendy and Dr. Hofmeister went above and beyond to help Waylon (and I) through it. Dr. Keith has treated Waylon on short notice a few times and has been caring and compassionate every time, always making sure we leave with my questions answered and a plan. We are so grateful for the care we receive here and it is one of Waylon’s most favorite places to visit. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy!

I have always been very pleased with the team at AMC. They answer all my questions when I’ve been worried or unsure and so patient with me when I had a puppy for the first time and was learning all about caring for a dog. They never rush me and always take their time with the pups. They truly care about the animals and their owners. They make you feel loved, comfortable and give you peace of mind. After any visit with a diagnosis they always call a couple days later to check in and see how things are going. Sherry and Sandy at the front desk are great and so are Dr. Keith and Dr. Blake! Highly recommend them for your furry family member!!

I have been with them for over two years and I cannot recommend them more. Staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful wether I am calling to ask questions or bringing my pup in for a visit. Scheduling is always so easy, and the reminders they send to your email are great because I can always make sure I don’t miss things my pup needs. I highly recommend!!

Dr. Hofmeister and her vet tech were amazing. We have 2 cats that are not big fans of going to the vet. They were kind and patient while our kitties acclimated to the room. There is a dedicated exam room for cats with lots of toys, treats, and a towel on the exam table with Feliway calming spray. They were able to quickly get our cats the care they needed plus some extra snuggles. The cats have long hair and the vet noticed some mats — we work on it but it is definitely a work in progress. She didn’t make us feel like bad pet owners but instead gave us some good tips for keeping the mats under control.

I am new to the Louisville area. When I got here my GSD was not with me. When Merlin did get here it was evident there was an issue. He was very smelly. My sister Lena highly recommended your your clinic and services. I called, I was able to get him in, it was a great clinic and service! Everyone there wanted to meet Merlin it was a great experience. I am a person who is training my dog as a service dog. I was really excited to see and watch the staff use my words with Merlin rather then the standard command words. It was wonderful!! My appointment was smooth as usual. Since Dr Allen left I haven’t had a regular vet. However, the vet that saw my dog on Saturday was terrific! ( forgot her name)! She was very thorough, gave me great information and answered all my questions. I am looking forward to meeting her in person someday! I could not have been more pleased!

I love my vet, Dr. Judy Hofmeister, and place my trust in this entire practice. They are all compassionate professionals in every regard. I used to have a dog that was so timid of my previous vet, and I realize now that the dog was nervous for a reason. My current pet loves going to the Vet and it's like an afternoon getaway for her. We get good, knowledgeable advice from our vet and all the technicians, and at a price that's good too. And along with that, there is compassion and consideration for my dog and me too. It's a shared obligation of keeping the dog healthy and up-to-date on shots and care. I appreciate the reminders and calls, and the care is just the best.

The staff is extremely thoughtful when it comes to the quality of care that your pet is receiving. Such as going above and beyond to ensure that your pet is as comfortable as they can be without having their owner in the building due to Covid 19 restrictions. Under extreme circumstances the staff will allow a client to come into the building to be with their beloved pet. The medicine that is practiced by each veterinarian there is exceptional and I would 10/10 recommended everyone to this clinic.

We love this vet clinic. We took our last dog there for years and during his last few days, they were so kind. I even called them up crying and they helped me figure out how to help him over the phone. A year later when we got a new puppy, there was no doubt that we would continue to support AMC. The patience with which Dr. Smith walked me through the health of our puppy, what's normal and what's not is greatly appreciated. I have been going to this AMC for 30+ years. The staff and veterinarians here are beyond amazing. Every single one of them treats you and cares for not just your animal but you as if you were one of their own family members. I recently lost my dog of 14 years. Mary, who I have known for years came in on her off day to see me and my dog and show her love for us. She cried and held me, and showed such care and compassion. Dr. Hofmeister and staff sent me a lovely personal note. It really touched my heart, and made me cry again. I highly recommend them. I love this place and these people!

Putting my dog down was hard enough, being that she was my first and only dog I've ever had my whole life and I'm 35. So it was heartbreaking, like loosing a child,. Which I have 3. Our lifelong Vet Dr sadly passed away not long ago and that left us searching for a new one. Judy Hofmeister, DVM was highly recommended to us and got us in for an exam pretty quick. We have always had great experiences with the doctors, and the front desk staff as well. Everyone is so friendly and they really care about our pets. Even when I'm there with one pet, the office will ask me about the others, look at pictures of them with me, etc. They are reasonably priced on most services and I never have to wait very long to get in. This clinic is awesome! A shelter that I adopted a cat from set up an appointment for me here. It was nice to be able to walk in and have them instantly know who I was and what issues I was there for. When they heard my cat crying while we were waiting for the vet, they explained that they're a "no fear" clinic and brought out a towel that was sprayed with calming spray to drape over her carrier and she immediately stopped crying. We saw the tech Emily and Dr. Hofmeister and they were both great. The doctor gave me a lot of tips as a first time cat owner and knew exactly what to do to make my cat feel comfortable. She even gave me a sample of the calming spray after spraying down my cat's carrier for the ride home and a sample of a flea/tick/heart worm preventative, which was really appreciated! If I didn't live so far away from their location I would go here regularly! I also like that they're open later in the evenings.

We have a diabetic pup who needs insulin twice a day. I wasn't paying attention and suddenly realized we didn't have enough syringes to get through Labor Day weekend. We take him to another vet, but when I called, Saturday afternoon, the message said they were closed through Monday for the holiday. I panicked. I looked up nearby animal clinics and The Animal Medical Center came up and Google showed they were still open. I called and explained the situation and they were very understanding, even though we weren't patients. I was able to go to them and they provided me with extra syringes, free of charge. I was very thankful for their graciousness. If that is any indication of how they care for their patients, I bet your pets will be in very caring hands.

They're always fantastic with my pets. They're very friendly and caring. 120lb dog who's a big baby but she loves them. If we take her for grooming or to be put up in a kennel for a bit she will usually fight them and try to get back to me but at the vet she just walks right off with them, loves them. I have a cat who absolutely hates anyone but me and if company is over you won't see him until they're gone. Even he does great with them and lets them handle him. Don't know what it is but I won't take my animals anywhere else and it's the only place my difficult pets feel comfortable.

Dr. Allen and her staff are wonderful. I only wish I would have found them sooner than a year ago. I have a 3 yr old, 65 lb Pit Bull mix who turns into nine kinds of ugly when being examined or having his nails trimmed. They are so patient and understanding of his fear. Along with their guidance and understanding, he does take medication for his vet visits which helps with his fear. I also have 2 cats that Dr. Allen sees. Another 5 stars for the handling and treatment of my cats. I can't say enough, they are wonderful and I highly recommend Dr. Allen and AMC.

When I went through the pain of losing one of my lovely babies (and one for my parents), the Dr's and staff were so tender and loving with my dog and my family. I trust the staff and the Dr's with their advice, treatment, and care. The Dr's never over react with their treatment and when I call with a simple question the staff and/or Dr's answer my quick question putting my mind at ease. You will always get true compassion from the Dr's and staff, which you can see when you pet reacts to them. My dog shy's away from people, but not from the Dr's and staff in this office. I've been with this clinic since long before they moved to the new office. They cared for my previous dogs until they died and now my 'new' dogs are 11 and 8 and going strong. The staff is caring and pleasant and the facility is always clean. The only issue I have is the newer ladies at the front desk turned away a man who thought his dog was bloating. Any vet tech worth their salt knows a dog with bloat needs immediate treatment or they could die very quickly. I know this is not an emergency facility but no vet should ever turn away a life or death situation. I am hoping this was a rookie mistake. Surely if a vet had been within earshot they would have helped.

Also, I'd like to mention how satisfied we were with having our dog spayed by Dr. Allen, our dog recovered so well in a matter of couple of days, during those days Dr. Allen and her staff would call us to check in on Nala, and after the surgery they kept us in the loop by text and even sent us photos of Nala after her surgery - which was very relieving for us and very much appreciated. The scar also disappeared few months later cause it was so well done! AMC office staff is always friendly and welcoming from the front desk to the vet-assistants, and most importantly always willing to help answering any questions you may have for them. Therefore, without hesitation, I highly recommend Animal Medical Center to all pet-owners in the Louisville area, especially those who want the best of the best care for their furry children!

When we went out of town we were lucky to get Teddy, our 1 1/2 year old Lab into the Animal Center of Middletown. Previously we had Teddy stay at another kennel where all the dogs started barking as soon as we showed up. Which made Teddy nervous. And when we picked Teddy up he always seemed to be out of sorts and tired. When we brought him to the AMCM they took him back to a quiet space, with no barking dogs. Teddy followed the tech back happily. And when we picked Teddy up he was well rested and in good spirits. I will always now try to get Teddy into AMCM for boarding from now on!!! Also we drove approximately 20 miles to get to AMCM and we had a vet we used 1 mile from our house. It is well worth the trip. Teddy loves Dr Hofmeister! And the staff shows their love of Teddy, too. We are so happy to have found the Animal Center of Middletown!
