Fun little place! Don’t be freaked out when you see “cat” and “cafe” together. There is no actual dining area. You can select from their limited menu: coffee, cookies, etc. However, they were out of most of the snacks they offered. The best part of this place is the exposure they’re giving these homeless kitties. Every single one of them is available for adoption. They do an excellent job keeping the place clean and mostly fur free. I went in with a black dress on, and hardly had any hair on me when I left. The entryway, due to its small enclosed space, actually smells worse than the inside. Don’t let that scare you off either! They do their best with air purifiers, but it really is a clean, well-kept place! The staff is super friendly and sweet. I do wish they had some children sizes for the apparel!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. OMG this is like literally heaven on earth for me. I love cats so much, and there are so many of them here 😍 it’s like on steroids. I am pleased. My heart is full. This place is spotless clean, cats are healthy and well-fed and well-taken care of, warm, professional & welcoming staff who are gladly taking pictures for you while playing with the kitties (thank you and shoutout to Amber & Anne, you both did an amazing job when I was there!). Hanging out with kitties really fulfilled my heart, I am so overjoyed with bliss and pure love, especially when cats are purring 🥹🥰 Totally worth the trip, time & money, 30minutes went by so fast when you are having a blast. Although they allowed walk-ins, I’d suggest booking an advanced reservation on their website before your visit to save time. Parking is plenty on the street, and make sure to leave your dogs at home 😉😆

Had such an amazing experience here. The staff were all so kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel comfortable. The cats were very sweet, friendly, and playful. I loved Cali and Millie and ended up spending most of my time hanging out with them. I enjoyed every minute and was sad to leave! I will definitely be back in the future.

You NEED to go to this adorable cat cafe. The cats are so sweet and friendly. Some of them will even cuddle with you. All the cats are available for adoption. All the proceeds go to the cats. So fun and such an amazing cause. Saving cats from kill shelters. I did not try any of the foods or drinks but that really does not matter. The staff is very friendly as well, they take a polaroid picture of you and your favorite cat at the end!

I've never been to a cat cafe with so many kittens before. I was pleasantly surprised. The space was somewhat smaller than I expected but clean and well decorated. I didn't have any beverages because none were offered, and I had to park quite a distance away because the cafe is in Weho/Melrose, but I still loved the experience and had a great time. I will be back!

I visited Crumbs & Whiskers cat cafe in LA with my family a few Sundays ago. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the cats were completely loving and fun to spend time with. Our Daughter had so much fun getting to know the cats and got to play with all of them. Fantastic family experience. I can't wait to have another visit. I recommend getting reservations ahead of time. It's a very popular place. Thank you everyone at Cafe. We had a great time.

First saw this on a new Bobby Flay show. He gave it good reviews so I decided to try it. First it's not too far from other great places so I decided to take a day trip. ( I live 114 miles away.) I save my pennies and make a day trip out of it. I get in the are have a quick Thai lunch nearby, walk around for a bit then go to Crumbs and whisker for a coffee and a sampler of the menu to take with me on the way back. I told them, like many others I'm sure, to take their time while I enjoy the environment. I used to have a small farm, no kill, but my current situation I have no animals so I treasure any time I'm able to interact with animals. It's very cathartic. It was awesome. I could describe it for you but your experience will be different and hopefully, but doubtfully, better. It was definitely worth the trip. Cats are great. Always had some on the farm. Highly recommend "cats" and "Crumbs & Whiskers."

Pricing is very high. Otherwise, the place is excellent and the kittens have awesome personalities. All the workers can tell you cats names, attitudes, and temperment. Over all an excellent experience for a first time. I have to think twice to come back again at current price levels.

This one it was a must for my daughters. They spend 70 minutes enjoy the cats. You need to be there 15 minutes before to order food and drinks. Because the coffee is off site. They really enjoy it.

Okay, so it was my first time here, and I immediately fell in love. The kittens were soo freaking adorable and energetic and just running around and ready to play. The downside was I was enjoying it so much that time just seemed to fly by (We even extended our time). The ambience and the vibe of the place was soo welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. You could tell that the kittens are well taken care of and loved. I tried so hard to convince my mom to let me adopt another kitten (I have a year old cat at home) and she wouldn't say yes so I left with the regret of not being able to adopt one. I will say the prices are reasonable for the different experiences especially since the money goes directly to caring for the kittens/cats. The merch was sooo cute tooo! I will say that even though they provide drinks and food service, I didnt even remember about my drink because I was so preoccupied with the kittens so for me, it was a little bit of a waste of money. I definitely will be back. It's going to become a regular thing. Any person that is a cat lover should DEFINITELY visit this place.

Awesome place! Amazing energy, super kind and helpful staff. So many cats that it's enough for everyone. They let you take pictures with everyone and the cats are really active, we were there in the morning. They even took us a complementary Polaroid picture with the cats. There are a lot of games to play.

Nice place, they say so many cats like 20-30. Most cats are sleeping in the back and not out front to pet or play with. If more cats were there than the people allowed in, it would be better.

This place is so wonderful for everyone, especially the cats! I feel good paying to be here because of where the money goes to (rescuing cats...and a lot of black cats that tend to be rejected by people at shelters), and the cats can be adopted and find loving homes. We went at 5:15pm on Sunday...which I realize now means that the cats have been playing with people already for hours, so by the time we got there they were pretty tired and most of them were trying to sleep while we just cooed over them, took pictures, and pet them. I'd say it takes about 30-40 minutes before you start to get a feel for the personalities of the cats...the staff's knowledge of each one definitely helps. The space is clean, modern, and catified with plenty of toys. The cats are all very sweet. I can see why they'd be tired after a few hours though since everything there and constant people is a crazy amount of stimulus for them...probably more than cats really like lol. But on the other hand (especially if you want to adopt), you know that the cats are very good with people and being petted. I highly recommend for a lot of smiles, laughs, and a happy time.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the place is downright amazing. It has a cosy ambience with white rugs and pillows for a relaxing time with cats. The cats are surprisingly extremely friendly towards strangers.(unlike my own kitten and some experience with strays). You will find a wide variety of cats in all colors and sizes. This place deserves a spot on your bucket list. P.S: There's an old cat who is partially blind in one eye. Take care to not approach it from the blind side. I wish I could share all pictures but there are a lot of them.

The kitten lounge was amazing! I love laying with all these little babies! most of the kittens are asleep in piles and about three or four are roaming around, playing with toys. The location was smaller than expected but the amount in a group session is the perfect amount of people. Was a great visit, might have to come back again!

Had an AMAZING time playing with frisky (and some shy) kittens! TOTALLY recommend!!! Took my 10 y/o son and he had the kittens running, jumping and chasing him! He even fell asleep on the way home! Parking is a bit rough...bring change for meters or prepare to walk a block or two. And bring socks as you have to take your shoes off.

The staff is super friendly and they always have sweet stories about the kitties. You can tell that they really care. It is a great place and I truly support them. We need more places like Crumbs and Whiskers to protect and defend rescue animals.

I love this place so much. The kitties are so cute and we'll taken care of. It's a popular place and while they do take walk-ins it's usually always full so it's wise to make reservations online for a specific time. You get more than hour with the cats and I would suggest the earlier spots (they're usually more active). Did I mention how cute they are?

As a cat person I can honestly say this was my favourite place while visiting L.A. The girls working there were super nice and friendly and made sure everyone got a chance to spend some time with the kitties. All the kitties were very eager to play with you or just simply cuddle up on a mat next to you. A great place to relax. Wish there was more places like these around.

Crumbs & Whiskers has a great concept, friendly staff and sweet little kitties. Some minor hiccups in drink delivery caused us to not get one of our teas, but the staff kindly apologized and refunded us. The cafe is decorated pretty trendy and kept very clean. The cats are well socialized and were either chill or happy to play. I thought the pricing and amount of time we got to spend there was well worth it. Overall, enjoyed myself and had so much fun!

Really cute place with friendly staff and lots of cute cats to hang out with. I liked that the staff were attentive to each cat's personality and asked visitors to respect the specific cats that may prefer more space or have less patience. Prices were quite steep so I'm leaving it as 4 stars. $15 per person for 15 minutes is super expensive ($1 a minute!) and you can't even order coffee unless you stay longer ($25-40 per person plus the price of the drink). Regardless, if you have some spare cash and some spare time in the area, please stop by and support this place and help the kitties find a new home!

This place is magical. It is a cat rescue, so all twenty something of the cats were taken in from high kill shelters and are adoptable! The staff are very passionate and told us all about each of the cats. It was definitely a wonderful experience.

I am so in love with this place and the staff is just wonderful. I do recommend that you book 2 weeks in advance if you want drinks and deserts. They have walk ins too but you cannot order drinks or food and you only can spend 20 minutes with the cats. The cats are cute but let them approach you.

I'd always wanted to visit a cat cafe, and Crumbs and Whiskers was just amazing! The place was spic and span clean, there were lots of toys and apparatus to help interact with the kitties. The cats were so well cared for their coats were shining from great food and excellent care. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the cats which are all available for adoption. A really unique experience and your "donations " go towards helping homeless kitties.

Such a wonderful place for cat lovers! The cats are so friendly and well as the employees, especially Eric- who is the nicest and sweetest manager of any cafe I've ever been to! I expected okay food/ drink since their main attraction is the kitties, but their iced mocha and white chocolate macadamia nut cookie were 10/10. Great for children and adults :)

This was such an amazing experience. The cats were a bit sleepy when I went there (4pm) but still very cute, some were still playful. The white choc cookie is the best cookie I've ever had, no joke! And I love the complementary polaroid that we get to bring home for a souvenir. Thank you to the team, will def be back.

The cats are adorable and all very cuddly and friendly! Theres a wide variety of toys around to play with. The food is ordered from a local cafe. They do different prices depending what you do, they take walk ins for 15 min. My friend and I booked in advance and stayed 75 min— it passed in a flash. They give you one free polaroid per booking! You can buy extras for $2. Overall, would definitely recommend

First of all, i am not a cat person, i got a dog in my household but this place is worth every penny! I booked a Kitten Party and it was PURE JOY! Certainly one of my best hours ever, i felt pure happiness and couldn’t stop smiling. Everything at Crumbs & Whiskers is awesome. All Cats are rescued and the staff certainly loves every cat doesn’t matter the size, color or genetic „defects“. The staff is super friendly and are doing a great Job. The cats are well groomed and the place is super tidy. All of the Kittens have a lot to play with and a lot places to sleep or hang around. Every cat was given a name and has its own story. I was amazed of the variety of the cats. My favorite was the tiny Zero, he was one of the smallest kittys around and was born without a tail, but that didn’t stops him to do everything and climbing everyone. What a beautiful little cat ❤️. All cats are available for same day adoption. At this day there were a few volunteers that rescues this cats, all very friendly and with alot of knowledge how to handle cats and kittens.

When you first walk in, you're welcomed in a small room, separate from where the cats are. You check in and can order something from the menu, but it is not required. A worker will give you a rundown of how it works and the rules to be followed. You're required to take your shoes off to be with the cats, so I recommend wearing socks! Your shoes are kept at a small shelf away from the play area. The vibe is really nice there. They had air purifiers and oil diffusers to make it smell as clean as possible. There is light music in the background and you are free to roam around the cafe! Toys are provided and the cats love them! Also, if it's your birthday, you get a free little bag of treats for the cats! Every visit also comes with a free little Polaroid of you during your visit! I would highly recommend going here for a little pet therapy or fun! 🐈

Wonderful staff members who genuinely care so much for the cats and are very helpful and friendly. There were over 20 cats up for adoption and they are all happy, healthy, and well cared for. The cat socializing area was very clean and cozy. This cat lounge partners with neighboring cafés and bakeries to sell coffee and snacks (but they will be cut off when the other cafés close for the day). It's open later than most cat cafés, which gives you more kitty time! They allowed us to walk in at the end of the day for a half hour session.

Cool place but I wouldn’t waste your time going here without an appointment or be expected to be turned away. Also $15 for 15 mins in the cafe. Great idea but I wouldn’t exactly classify it as a cafe more so than an adoption fundraiser. Great concept though

I loved my experience the cats and staff were very friendly. All cats are adoptable! You arrive early so you have time to check in and make food and drink orders. I ordered a very pretty chia pudding with fruit on top along with green tea. Sweeteners are available around the cafe. After everyone is checked in and the previous guests leave you are allowed to enter inside. Make sure the front door is shut so no cats escape. When inside they give you a short run down of the rules. After that you are free to play. Remember to play nice. They have lasers and brushes and plenty of toys. Along with can nip for purchase. Merchandise is available for sale. During your visit you will get a polaroid of you and a cat. At the very end it is placed with a sticker and a Hershey’s Kiss. Parking is on the street. Inside is kept cold so the smell isn’t bad. It actually smelled good. Kleenex is available along with a bathroom and hand sanitizer for when you leave. Hope you had as much fun as I did!

I had a really lovely experience today at Crumbs and Whiskers. The place is very nice, clean and cozy. The staff is welcoming and clearly care for the cats and genuinely want you to have a nice experience and encourage the cats to interact with everyone. The cats are very well looked after, very clean and friendly. Much better than expected and would return in the future

Definitely more cat and less cafe. They did have snack selections but that really isn't the main event. Petting the cats is why you're there. The set up is really comfy. It is one room that is like a living room with couches and pillows which is perfect for kitty petting. Staff is very nice and full of information. It costs $40 for about an hour but all the cats were saved from euthanasia at the shelter so you know the entrance fee is going to a good cause. You can adopt the cats too if you want which costs $200, which is fair when you think about how much goes into vet bills etc. You have to fill out an application and there is a waiting period. Personally, I went partly because I can't have a pet at home right now and so I get to still have some pet time and help the kitties without taking one home. The kittens were more like half grown cats not little kittens like you might think but still very cuddly and playful and fun. They have some fun merch as well so don't go there broke lol. Be aware, there is no dedicated parking so you may have to walk a little after parking in the neighborhood. Watch the parking signs as well.

I recently had my first visit at Crumbs and Whiskers and I can genuinely say that my expectations were far exceeded. Although the price for entry and drink/food is hefty, it is worth every cent as it is going towards a local business who take excellent care of their cats and the environment that they live in. Everything was very clean and they had air fresheners as well which was a big plus. The inside of the cafe was so cute and fun! I had never felt more comfortable in a cafe than I did at Crumbs and Whiskers. All the kittens were very friendly and one even slept in my lap for 20 minutes which really made my visit! All the staff were very kind and gave us a complimentary Polaroid picture and sticker which I thought was a nice touch. I definitely plan on visiting again soon. It was such a great experience to pet cute cats and drink coffee and I really felt like I was able to take a break from reality for a little bit! Highly recommend to anyone who loves cats or just wants a fun and unique experience!

It's ok. I guess I am the outlier here who isn't 100% a fan of this place and I will give my reasons why. I do appreciate the work that C&W does to save cats from no kill shelters and what they represent, I just think the experience of actually coming to see the cats should be more relaxing and less aggravating. They try to cram way too many people into this small little rectangle on Melrose at one time, and it's really annoying because the cats don't seem to like it anymore than I do, so why do they continue to do it? I have visited a handful of times on different days as well, mainly during the week, either for 30 minutes or the full experience of 1 hour and 10 minutes, to see if things would get better and it never did. Both times, the cats were visibly anxious (pacing, meowing, hissing at random people, fighting with each other, or hiding) and irritated. They're very insistent on telling you to be gentle with the cats and not try to work them up so that they're jumping around and acting wild, but people still do it anyway. I wish the space was bigger so that the large groups could throw toys safely without getting in the way of others who aren't interested in cats zooming around and doing triple salchows in the air. Also, on my most recent visit, there was one employee in particular who was just absolutely obnoxious, bossy, loud, and invasive, and her presence during the 1 hour experience nearly drove me up the wall. It seemed like every time I went over to interact with a cat, she was on my butt telling me what to do in this loud, patronizing tone, almost like she was speaking to a child. I found it even more offensive seeing as on that particular visit, there was a couple manhandling one of their new kittens and another family slingshotting cat toys at 95 mph. I really didn't want to get into an argument with her even though I desperately wanted to tell her to give me space and let me enjoy the time I paid for, so I just ignored her in the hopes she would get the hint. Oh well...

These kitties were very nice, I wore a dog shirt and the kitties seemed to be fine with it and not scared, the cinnamon roll cat was very energetic and liked to play fetch with you, the coffee was very yummy and i felt so energetic to play with those hyper kitties

Super cute cat cafe. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. All the kittens were precious and the fact that they are helping rescue kittens in shelters is amazing. A little pricey, but they do have coupons every so often. The money goes to a fantastic cause tho so its worth it. Its clean and well kept even with all the cat hair. No parking lot, so try to arrive 20 min early to take in the account of looking for street parking plus walking to the cafe. 10/10

Pros: A very cool experience. Workers were friendly and the cats were well taken care of. We got stickers and a Polaroid picture to bring home. Coffee was good. Cons: $20 for only a half hour. The room was packed with people so it was hard to get one on one time with the cats. We were okay with the price because we don’t do this everyday and we are huge animal lovers. But I would suggest lowering the amount of people let in at a time.

Not having a cat at the time, this was the perfect place to spend some time with some adorable kitties. We booked a session a few weeks ahead of time. There are a few different lengths of time you can choose. They provide you with some treats and toys. If you’d like, you can order coffee drinks while you are there. We went around 3 pm. I would recommend going earlier because most of the cats were sleeping when we went. If you make a connection, some of the kitties are up for adoption too.

Best Cat Cafe ever. The employees are so nice and friendly and they take such good care of the cats. I didn't catch their names but the people working on Saturday were really impressive and their dedication shows. We booked a half hour sit down with the cats and these guys are so nice and so friendly. I even had one that wouldn't leave my lap. I've seen animal cafes in Japan and they don't look happy. These cats were well fed and maintained. They did not look stressed out and had plenty of space to move around and eat. I like it that the money you pay to Crumbs and Whiskers goes to saving cats and putting them into good homes. We're definitely coming back for more sit downs with the cats.

Definitely my favorite kitty cafe! The staff is so kind and helpful. Once you step in they give you the rundown of what to expect from your visit and at any point you can ask them to bring you a kitten and you’re interested in adoption they can provide more information about that process. You can tell the kittens love their space and it is kept clean for both kittens and visitors. My friend and i ordered and iced green tea and iced mocha and both were great in taste. Id definitely recommend placing your drink order beforehand. It is definitely something you must do if you are a cat and coffee lover!

I made reservations and came in the morning. All the cats were pretty active and I got to okay with a cat named Romeo. All the cats have different personalities and I really enjoyed being able to experience that. As you play with each cat the employees walk by and tell you their name and a fun fact about them. The drinks tasted great and I really enjoyed my time here. I will definitely be coming back and $22-25 to "just play with cats" is worth it.

I went to a one-hour kitten yoga class here. It was absolutely everything I wanted it to be--kittens jumping up on us, running around, playing, falling asleep on our mats, and being extremely cute. Always a fun place to go! And it's a great cause. They always have new cats coming in because they save them from shelters or other horrible places. They take care of all the cats until they get adopted. And yes all the cats can be adopted. Had the best time at their Galentine’s Day event. I met and played with so many loveable cats. Most were sweet and friendly. If you want to adopt the price is $150 for one and $250 for 2. The catch is you have to adopt 2 or adopt 1 as long as you already own a cat so the cats don’t become lonely. It makes sense, but if there’s one you really like and it’s “bonded” with another then it makes things tricky. I recommend definitely going to this place and cuddling as many kitties as you can. You won’t regret it.

This isn't a restaurant really. It's a coffee shop secondly and a place that has cats you can meet, pet or even adopt primarily. The staff are delightful, the environment is charming, and the cats are spectacularly adorable. Unlike one cat cafe I know of in London which only allows in people over 18 in age, Crumbs & whiskers lets in children from 7 up, which meant my kids could come and wallow in kitty love while on holiday when they were missing our own cats back home. There merchandise was also way cool. Its not a cheap place to visit, but since its effectively a charity, we had no complaints about chipping in.

First and foremost, it does not stink in here. Not even a whiff of poop or that deathly ammonia urine stench. Considering there's something like 30 cats in the cafe, that's a miracle. Second, the cats are so loved here! I spent a good 20 minutes talking to the staff about the cats and they had nothing but cute anecdotes and happy memories to share While some of the cats are strong and independent, you won't be able to keep your paws off them.. The cats are shy but very friendly and will warm up to you. Some like to play, some don't. One black-and-white cat snuggled next to my pregnant belly for half an hour and it was absolutely heaven. Almost came home with a cat that day... since, y'know, this is technically a cat shelter. My iced coffee was pretty decent (could have used more ice), but I was using it as caffeine to give me more energy

Love this place!! I want exactly sure what it was all about, all I knewis it was a cat cafe. I went there not knowing you needed to reserve a spot, but the staff was nice enough to let me and my friend in. What I really love about this place is you can actually adopt the cats. They come from shelters and have color coordinated collars. The pink are the female cats, grey is for males and purple is for the 'sassy cats'. Great place, will definitely be returning!!

I went the very first day it opened and it was already almost as lovely as KitTea in San Francisco. Pretty soon it could be the best cat café in the state! When I went there were maybe around 10 or 12 people and 19 cats. There was a really good variety of cats with little small kittens, huge chubby cats, and even one cat that had only 3 legs. I went around 3pm and most of the cats were sleepy which didn't bother me, but if you want more active cats, maybe go in the morning or at sunset. The only complaint I have is charging for water is a little tasteless (no pun intended) but when I brought my own reusable water bottle in none of the staff had any problem with it. This is the perfect place for dates! Because each person has to sign their own waiver and pay for their own reservation, you'll never be stood up! You can also see if they are gentle, loving, and compassionate with the cats or not.

A great place - but you will get penalized if you buy tickets for more than one person. You only get one polaroid per group but if each person pays separately they get their own polaroid. Seems unfair to families since you wont get a discount as a family -at $35 a person you’d think you could get one polaroid each. It is simple not fair even if they justify it with ‘thats just how we do things here’ - which is not a real reason - also the coffee is pricy but only has cheap creamers... Other than that it is awesome - tons of kittens that are awake and fun. You can lie down. The floor dirty so since you have to take shoes off be prepared for grit on your feet. Bleh. We have been to several cat caffees and this one is good. Adorable place ! Note they owner or "leader" as they call it (whatever) pestered me on the way out because of my review (but I had kids with me and we had a schedule) and then contacted me several times - I did not appreciate that / unprofessional. They did respond with a free repeat visit (we may take you up on that next time we are in LA) and promised to change things. I still think this was an amazing place and would probably go back because the kids loved it.

I have been to over a dozen cat cafes. This is unique in that they have comfy rugs where you can snuggle the kitties. I think this is also the only one where they let you brush them. There is a circle of trust. Be gentle with the kitties. Very chill and relaxing. They have very good shirts and merch too. Attentive but not intrusive staff. Good layout. Excellent kitties. I got nose boops from a little cutie.

Make sure you make an appointment in advance. You can't just walk in. Go early in the morning as the cats are very active and playful. By the afternoon they are worn out. Since people go in out all day to play with them. They tend to hide from people wanting to be left alone. It's totally worth the whole hour experience. You can also adopt a cat through them. Most importantly, you need to know that you need to make an appointment. When we went, it was $25/ person. I understand it goes towards a good cause, but a bit steep when I’m dragging my sons to do this with me. I also expected there to be an actual cafe where you could drink coffee and have a snack, but it just looked like people hanging out with cats. Kind of disappointing as I was really looking forward to checking this out in hopes of bringing my daughter next time.
