UPDATE: 2/21 DON'T GO ON WEDNESDAY when the female doctor is there Dr.Odet Kaspari by far the worst vet DR we have met. She gave our female Italian Masstiff another rabies vaccines 6 months early and claimed she never received. I even asked her if she could double check her chart and said there was nothing there. Went home and found my dogs vet records and she in fact already had her rabies shot went back and receptionist was able to find the paper work. Also Off the bat she was scared of our dogs. A lot was happening in that tiny room and she should have allowed us to all get situated and really communicated with us all. My dogs are used to being at different vets and they felt vet uncomfortable with her. They were fine with the vet tech who was more comfortable with my dogs. Overall do not recommend the female doctor definitely needs to be more confident around large breed dogs. Great Place to take your fur friend, I will admit that it is not the greatest smelling facility and there should be an emphasis in making sure the hospital looks and smells clean but overall they did a great job with my dogs dental care, she had 7 teeth extracted and teeth cleaning done, her breath smells amazing and I wish I would had given the guy a tip but it slipped my mind but he did a great job and he had to endure an awful smell from my dogs breath ! The pricing was great when comparing to other vets and I appreciated the staff working with us and answering all of our questions and providing copies of my dog's paper work ! Overall a good experience! One main thing that was upsetting was how the staff is treated by customers as it makes the staff feel more tense and unappreciated. The staff has to deal with all kinds of temperaments not only from the animals but the people as well. It's a small hospital with affordable prices which brings a lot of clients so sometimes they may be busy trying to tend to everyone and their needs so please try to show appreaction for the staff and be patient as it is not an easy job / it is a walk in clinic. Edit: been there three times since. As long as youre not getting a spay/neuter the service is great and affordable. It also helps to call to find out how long the line is too! Previous Review: I don’t usually write reviews, but i had to this time. Even though I had set up an appointment, I came early to get serviced. I was the second person on line and dropped off my dog at 8am. They told me to come back at 4:30 to pick her up. I get a call at 3:43 telling me there was an emergency and the vet had to leave so no surgery was performed. Emergencies happen but why am I getting informed mere hours before I was supposed to pick her up. They were clearly understaffed so I don’t understand why they didn’t just take less customers or inform us ahead of time. This is extremely unprofessional. Lord knows what the dogs were just doing for 7hrs.

They took very good care of my dog. Everyone I interacted with was very kind and professional, including the front desk person who was especially sweet. Dr. Saleh met with me after my dog's surgery and explained everything I needed to do as part of the after care. I truly do not understand anyone on here complaining about being charged $40 for a cone or having to wait a long time. If you want to save money on a cone, bring your own. If you don't want to wait, go somewhere else. A procedure done here cost less than $500 where as other places it would have cost $1000-$2000..

Great clinic that works a lot with Rescues and spay/neuter. Call before you go so you know what to expect. Make an appointment for spay/neuter. Dr. Saleh is wonderful and very experienced. Not a "take all your money & make you think your dog is dying so you spend MORE money" kind of place. Just up front, kind and cost effective service. They get BUSY so get there early and plan to wait.

As with any reasonably priced veterinarian there are pros and cons. Parking and waiting areas are limited, no appointments, it's on a first-come-first-serve emergency situation basis on who gets seen first. I've been going here for several years and if they've ever made a mistake, they quickly rectify it. All the staff is kind... I like all the doctors there, they could stand to remodel a little bit but so what, they're still good doctors and their staff who sits in the front, Tanya and the other girl (I don't know her name) have the patience of a saint. 3 stars is due to the parking situation 4 for the care we've gotten!!😀

The staff was very polite and courteous. The young lady behind the desk was wonderful. I'm partially handicap, when I dropped my cane the young girl behind the desk ran out and picked it up for me. Normally my dog becomes very frightened when he's a vet hospital, the vet tech made him feel really comfortable. There are no appointments, it's first come first serve. The wait is not long.

We brought our puppy here to get neutered a cpl weeks ago. The receptionists were the best!! The place was great, cheap, and everyone was super friendly! I was expecting our little guy to come out miserable but he was super alert and didn't seem to be in pain. When I called with a question they seemed happy to help. The entire staff at ARK do their very best to help every animal, while staying as low cost as possible. This means many people who could never afford to treat their pet's have an option. The doctors are experienced, caring & the whole staff truly cares about helping the pups & kitties of LA. Yes, the clinic is busy, but this is thanks to a complete lack of affordable options. Very pleasant experience I was referred to Ark Hospital by a non profit organization. That's how I ended up going there. But let me just say, I don't know what transpired with some of the people on this site, but the staff there was extremely helpful when I took my dog there. The front desk personnel was very courteous and friendly. The costs were fair for the services provided. This place is a god send to any pet owner. My experience was awesome!

I have a love hate relationship with this animal hospital. I love Dr. Saleh. He is great with animals and very knowledgeable. I hate everything else, particularly that they don’t take appointments! Yes they are open during the pandemic, however still no appointments. If you want to take your pet in, you have to show up early 8am or sooner and sign in. Once they reach their quota of clients the sign in closes ( this usually happens no later than 9am). Then the wait begins. You wait outside on the sidewalk in a haphazard line of desperate pet owners waiting to have their pet seen. How long you wait depends on where you are on the list. ARC closes at 5pm so if you’re later on the list, guess how long you wait. So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Let me just say that the other reviews allowed me to prepare for my visit today. My 17 year old cat needed a tooth extraction, I called yesterday and they nicely told me which times to bring her in for dental work. I was quickly seen and after telling me what needed to be done, they gave me price and it was just too much. I asked for an alternative and the Dr gave me one and I took it. I actually called off work over how stressed I was, since she's so old. I got a call to pick her up and she is doing great. I can not thank this hospital enough for taking care of my cat. This place is AMAZING!! We got turned on to ARC by the South LA Animal Shelter after we adopted our dog. The shelter gave us a voucher for a free exam at ARC. The staff at ARC is extremely professional and very compassionate. Service fees are very affordable, which makes them a huge asset to the community and the wide variety of clientele they service. Without ARC many of their clients would be at a loss for excellent and affordable pet care. The office interior is not glamorous, so don't judge the services based on outward appearances. The services at ARC are just as good and professional as any Vet on the westside. I highly recommend them!

This is a local vet with no frills. Basic needs for my pet are met here and the staff is helpful and loyal. They are very busy because it is the only vet for miles. I hope they stay open. They provide one of few resources in my community that is affordable.

Not a 24 hour animal hospital. The prices are low. Bad/good thing is that they don't do appointments. Sometimes I've has to wait as long as 2 hours. Still worth it. Dr. Sala is an excellent vet. Recommend it if you don't have insurance.

They are very affordable, I took my cat and dog for treatment here before. Also took them here for vaccines and I really like the doctors but the people who help them out aren't that gentle, I had my dog get a nail trim and I didn't took her back for the same service since but everything else is great. I still take her for medical treatment and vaccines.

He had an appointment scheduled this past week, and when I brought him they had a sign saying they were closed due to Covid, but not one person had so much as tried to call me to cancel the appointment. I could have taken an extra shift at work if I had known, so this last visit wasted my time.

If you're looking for fancy this is not the place for you. If your looking for caring vets and staff this is the place. Low costs on all your pets needs. No appointment needed. Parking is the only problem going here. Only five spaces that are really hard to get into. Also, this business is called Ark Animal Hospital now.

6 years ago I bought in my 11th month old puppy he was sick and was nearly dying due Bc he has not gotten his shots. I took him here and the shots and medicine he needed was really expensive around $800 and they kept him there for 2 days. I didn’t care how expensive it was, I was scared to lose him, and thanks to the people who saved him he is happy, healthy and still alive till now ❤️ It was worth it!

I love this place. Best prices I've come across. Fast no nonsense in and out. Smallest incision and fastest recovery time after neuter then any other vet I've been to. I have four animals. Three went elsewhere for surgery. Now they all go here for shots and such.

A Veterinarian Office is like an Auto Shops, or Dentists. If you find a good one, you KEEP going back to the same one no matter the drive. They care, and they aren't trying to rip you off. Dr. Salah seemed very experience with older dogs. Not the most updated/cleanest office but it works. This place was suggested by a friend. WALK-IN/NO Appointments: $27 Examination. 8am Office Opens. 9amish Doctor comes into the office. If you're coming in for a surgery, come in at 8am. Tuesday: Arriver 8:16pm with 1hour wait (heard it could be hours/expected for care and price) Parking in the back is limited, or require very experienced drivers. 3 Vaccine Shots + 1 Examination = $68. Takes credit card here. - Came to check on lumps/bumps on our 14 year old dog which seems to be normal. It just needs to be observed and can be more serious if it starts coming out of the skin. And her old age of hard of hearing, and seeing, to arthritis is normal.

I have 1 aggressive dog they always make us feel comfortable they come to the door with paperwork so my dog doesn't have to go by the other dogs.. It’s a good neighborhood vet. Drop in only. Which works for routine stuff. This vet cuts to the chase and doesn’t waste time or money. the Place could use a fresh coat of paint and a sculpture in the now defunct water fountain (too wasteful to use in these water conscious days).

Great place. My English bulldog had demodex mange and instead of upselling me an expensive dip and bath routine that might not get rid of the mange, they put her on Nexguard. The demodex cleared up in two months and all I did was give her a monthly pill. She's still on the pill two and a half years later because it keeps her free of fleas and ticks. I've since gone back for shots, an ear infection and they recently took care of my newly acquired frenchie puppy The prices are very reasonable. I respect Ark because I'm able to give my dogs the care deserve and not break the bank account. It is first come, first served and because of the popularity, you might wait long on busy days. They are still worth it. No need to go anywhere else.

Seriously take your pets here. They have really well experienced doctors here. With just the symptoms my dog was showing, they were able to let me know that my dog had bladder stones. leave the doctor work for the doctors, had I not taken my baby in I would have never known and this seriously would have haunted me. Financially they are hero's!! Their prices are low compared to VCA (west hollywood) and even then depending on your cooperation they might give you a discount only if it is truly an emergency but remember that owning a dog is a privilege and this responsibility mean you have to put money away for them just as if they were your kids because they are. In 2004, I read an article in a newspaper that needed volunteers to work at now called "FUR BABY ANIMAL RESCUE" under the owner DAWN VARGAS. DAWN and I became friends and she referred me to the ANIMAL RESCUE CENTER for various reasons for my 3 kitties. I stayed with ARC even though some staff have Ieft - I HAVE HISTORY! COVID has turned the world upside down! Patience and Planning is the key. Shopping around will waste your time. TO THE ENTIRE ESSENTIAL STAFF AT ARC - MEEEEEOW WEEEEEE! means THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
