This facility is filled with kind people. They care so much about the animals they see and that is evident. The people are also very friendly in general too :) I had a problem with using my Pet Desk app at checkout and the manager Valerie handled my concern with quick understandings. I appreciate her effort to help me out, and to have heard my concerns. Thank you, Valerie! I also want to thank Dr. Wagner for her thorough notes she wrote for how to help my doggie get better. We feel very comfortable taking our 14 year old westie for care at Michigan Road Animal Hospital. He has been going there since he was a two pound pup. They lovingly care for him. Daphne has known him from day one and always comes to say hello to him. Dr Peters was wonderful, as was her tech (I believe her name was Melissa?). They helped me (and my cat!) feel comfortable as a first-time cat owner. They answered all of my many questions and helped me get all set up for him to have continual great care. The office staff were all helpful and nice as well, even though I know they're very busy and still dealing with curbside pickups (so much running around, I really admire their ability to keep it all moving). I'm excited to bring my boy back for checkups!

My whole family has been taking our pups here for almost 10 years and the staff has been nothing short of remarkable. Dr. Estes is so kind, takes her time to answer all questions, and has so much empathy. The whole crew treats our pups like their own…even my Rosie, who isn’t always the nicest to other animals. It’s not easy to find vets you can trust, but Michigan Road is your place! We drive 30-40 minutes just to bring them here!

They are so wonderful! My family has used their services since they opened in the '60s. Imagine a business being around that long these days! I especially want to thank Dr. Wagner. She helped me treat my sweet Chihuahua Ethel through congestive heart failure, and helped me send her across Rainbow Bridge on Monday. Be the big dog Ethel! I love you! And my Yorkie Poppy had knee surgery with Dr. Duncan 20 years ago, and came back to her old self! Now Ethel and Poppy can play with my other pets except my Siamese Princess because, of course, she WAS a princess. We love Dr. Estes and the staff at Michigan Road Animal Hospital at Crooked Creek! They really care about the patients and the families that care for them. Our sweet boy, who we had only had for 3 days, got a bad cough, so we called to see what we should do. They worked him in that day and checked him over thoroughly, to be sure it wasn't something serious, and to figure out what was going on. We are so thankful for their dedication and heart for the pets they care for! We will continue to bring our pets here!

Highly recommend Michigan Road Animal Hospital! We have been at this vet for 10+ years and both of our dogs are taken care of here. They've been taking care of my dog for 6 years since he was puppy and they do great job. However this year when I took him to the clinic for annual checkups, I asked them to sedate my dog so that they can trim his nails short while he is sleeping (he hates nail trimming). He came back with his nail untrimmed and later I was informed his nail did not need to get trimmed. Only reason why he got sedated was because I wanted his nail trimmed short, so I feel bad for him that he had to go through that and I wish I could have better communication with the clinic beforehand. Update: The clinic called me and explained to me why this has happened. Because my work hours are hectic, I could not pick up when they called me first time, but Dr. Peters called me again after their business hours. I truly appreciate their effort to reach me and clarify things with me.

The BEST vet ever :) Super fast, efficient, and friendly. I took my new Beagle puppy there and got the puppy package (which included EVERYTHING I needed) and got my little mister fixed. We've had nothing but great experiences here and the staff is the sweetest ever. Definitely recommend!

They have adapted to the current demands to make things as safe as possible and still provide a "family-friendly" and responsive environment. I've been taking my dog here for 4 years since I adopted him from the Humane Society. We usually visit about 4 or 5 times a year -- both planned preventive visits and surprise injuries. I first came here over 2 years ago when I needed an evening appointment for a new cat I had found at the shelter. The staff and Dr Estes took care of him immediately. We had been with a vet in Broad Ripple for over 10yrs but had a couple negative experiences there during the pandemic so we decided to start fresh with our new family member. Michigan Rd was suggested by a trusted neighbor and we couldn't be happier! Our new gal is a muscly 25lbs dachshund mix who tries to hide her fear by being tough but she warmed up to the tech at curbside and walked in willingly without her momma! Due to COVID, we have yet to go inside and meet the vet and other staff but everyone over the phone has been simply wonderful! We have been utilizing Michigan Road AH for several years, and its simply because of the level of care our furry friends receive when we need to bring them in. In recent years Dr. Jacobs has specifically been our primary and her caring personality and attention to detail for our dog, and us, has made rough situations easier to deal with. Other members of the staff are also very friendly and great at the their jobs as well. After losing our first dog to cancer, we immediately brought our next dog here for her first and subsequent visits too. While I can't say the pricing is more or less expensive than anywhere else, we think the care is exceptional and worth the cost.

I highly recommend Michigan Road Animal Hospital at Crooked Creek. We have taken our cats there for care many times, and the staff are always friendly and professional, the techs treat the animals kindly and with gentleness, competence, and patience. The doctors are great, and my wife and I have especially have appreciated Drs. Estes, Gustin, and Jacobs' kindness as we dealt with the cancers that killed two of our beloved kitties, Molly and Mr. Spock. Their willingness to give us the facts, and their understanding about the realities of our financial limitations for treatment, as well as their constant efforts to make the final months we had with our cats as comfortable and happy for the cat and for us as was possible -- all has been greatly appreciated. They are genuinely good and caring people. The doctors here do not recommend unecessary tests. Their prices are fair, and they recommend cost-effective treatment options whenever they are possible. We have greatly appreciated this as well, since while our love for our cats is boundless, our bank account is decidedly not! In short, I give them my highest recommendation, and hope it will be possible to continue taking my own pets there for years to come.

Everyone is very friendly and clearly love animals. Probably the only complaint they have is they love on your animals so much they typically run late by the evening. Pricing runs similar to those of other clinics. However, they talk to you about how you take care of your animal to determine what you need. It's not a one size fits all healthcare system for dogs.

My little Sydney used to get so excited whenever we went there. She acted as if this was her place alone and they treated her that way.. When I fist got my black miniature poodle I had no specific vet to take him. My coworker suggested that I take Pharoah (my puppy) to this location. I don't regret any moment of it. The woman that work here are absolutely AMAZING. They were very informational, loving, caring and gentle with my pup. I still remember our very first visit there which means a lot to me. Although, the prices are somewhat expensive compared to other places, I don't mind because I KNOW I'm getting the best care and quality for my dog. I highly recommend Michigan Road Animal Hospital.

Michigan Road Animal Hospital is single-handedly the most caring, most attentive & professional vet's office I have ever taken any pet to. While out of town, I scheduled a spay & gastropexy for my great dane, Clementine, wherein she would also be boarded for 10 whole days. Dr. Jacobs and the rest of the amazing team not only went out of their way to comfort any anxieties and fears I had, but took the time to give me updates after the procedure. They even called to see how the first night home was after we picked her up! The entire time, they were above and beyond any expectation I ever had!! I have said repeatedly to people that it feels like having a small town vet in the city. Truly one of a kind, I cannot imagine taking my pets anywhere else!! THANK YOU MRAH CC!!

My service dog was attacked by two pit bulls Friday afternoon. I had taken him to Noahs Emergency Animal Hospital initially aroubd 6:00 PM. They tried to pressure me a few times to euthanize him right away because I didn't have immediate access to $1900-2400 for his throat surgery as the banks were closed until Tuesday due to a holiday and a gofund me page was just started to help with his care. I gave them everything I had recieved for my monthly income for less than 24 hours care. They refused to work with me even though he was my legal hearing service dog. They stated they would not charge me for a couple of items and they turned around and put them on my bill anyway despite their word. $918 for an xray, an IV, pain meds, gauze around his neck, oxygen, and antibiotics. They discharged him at 1:00 PM the next day an absolutely terrible state. They demanded an additional $2,400 for him to continue to stay there to receive any life saving care stating he needed a throat surgery. (Well, it turns out he didn’t even need a throat surgery in the first place according to my veterinarian at Michigan Road Animal and he recovered fully without throat surgery or any surgery- Imagine that!!!).I felt horrible. To love him so much. To be so enriched by his love and his years of sacrificial assistance. Knowing money was robbing him of a chance. Knowing that because I was lower income, we didn't matter to Noahs. My service dog didn't matter to them. A large sum of money is all that mattered to them. Odd thing is, several vets said they normally work with people. They wouldn't with me. Granted, they have to pay for their building/equipment/supplies. I get that. However, they had no real compassion or care for me or my service dog. The animals should come first, before making a huge profit off of service fee mark ups and a surgery he didn’t even actually medically need in the first place). I am not the first person they told to euthanize their dog because they couldn't afford their fees for life saving medical care for their dog. I find this detestable and unethical. Michigan Road Animal is caring for my dog as I type this review. He is still in critical condition but showing improvements. He isn't just a dog or just a pet. He is even more than a service dog. He is my family. He is my best friend. We weren't ready to give up and say good bye. The moment I walked in the door at Michigan Road Animal, I could feel the difference. I could feel the caring vibes and warmth. There aren't any promises my furry kid will make it but I have peace knowing we are doing everything we possibly can and that he is in compassionate, caring, knowledgeable hands where my service dog actually matters more than huge profits and I wasn't made to be invisible because of money. Update: he fully recovered w o any long term complications and without the need for any $2400 surgery/any surgery at all thanks to the compassionate, ethical, knowledgeable care that he received at Michigan Road Animal Hospital/Dr. Estes. To think Noah’s repeatedly demanded that I euthanize him is completely apprehensible and totally disgusting and morally unethical.

I have been taking my baby to MRAH since he was 8 weeks and am so happy I did! The staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful - they make you feel like your baby is theirs. When we walk in with our miniature schnauzer the front staff and techs welcome him by name with a "Hi" and smile!. Their boarding services are also very accommodating - I know that if he ever got sick while there, he is in the best possible place. All the doctors we have seen over the years are well-educated, have great bed-side manner, and caring. At MRAH from the front desk to the vets, you know your pet is getting the best care - loving care. Special shout out to Valerie at the front desk, who is so always so friendly, thoughtful and helpful - i feel like I've known her for years... oh wait! I have!

I LOVE this vet clinic! All of the veterinarians are committed to your animal's health and they make sure your animal feels safe and you feel knowledgable about taking care of your animal. I recently had to put my dog down due to lymphoma. He was a young dog and also a service dog so his loss was painful in shoo many ways. The staff and my vet Dr. Kristy Jacobs could not have done Better job and handled everything with such great compassion not only for my dog and his sister but for myself keeping my needs also in the for front. They have continued to be supportive when my other dog struggled with the loss of her brother beyond what was normal and handled that with outstanding compassion. I would recommend them too anyone. I took my older cat, Milo, here after he kept getting sick and I seemed to be getting no where with his previous vet. Dr. Jacobs was able to figure out why he was getting sick. She explained his condition and his medication to me. I took my other cat, Mumbles, here a few days ago for severe vomiting. He was hospitalized for 3 days. Dr. Inman and the rest of the team did a great job caring for my kitty. They called me twice everyday to let me know how he was doing. Dr. Inman didn't even charge me for his second exam.

They took X-rays and were able to give them to me on a CD so I could consult another vet if needed. I brought kitty back to stay with them for a few days to see what more we could learn. We had been going to VCA to treat our kitties, and at one point our very elderly and sick baby got to the point where he was suffering, unable to walk and unable to hold his bladder and bowels and we knew it was time to say goodbye. We took him to MRAH as they were much closer and we didn't want to traumatize him with a long car ride. The entire staff was kind and very understanding of the hard decision and Dr. Inman treated him and us with all the care and respect we could have hoped for. We've been taking our other furbabies there ever since, and she's even been able to do more for our other elderly kitty who has medical problems than VCA was ever able to diagnose. My Joy saw Dr. Inman for what I thought was a bladder infection that turned out to be many, many bladder stones. Joy needs someone who is calm, is willing to move slowly with her to gain trust and Dr. Inman was very patient with her and was even hand feeding her by the end of her first visit! This first visit made me very comfortable bring her back for an xray and surgery on her bladder. . Since Joy's surgery Dr. Inman has called to check on her and has taken my call providing insight on how to care for her while ensuring all her needs are met. I cannot recommend Dr. Inman highly enough. I have finally found Joy's offical and life long vet.
