They took great care of kitten! The workers were very friendly and each time I called to get an update on my kitten they always told me she’d be getting lots of love and play time. The veterinarian was very kind too and was very thorough on telling me what they would do during my kittens surgery and how the aftercare should be.

I had gone to several Vets and never got the best care for my Lucky. Until I called Dr Ali. He is the best. Just when I thought I could lose my boy he gave me hope and also a way to find the means to afford his surgery. He is my new vet for my Lucky. He kept calling me with updates so I wouldn’t stress. Outstanding right from the start! Vet for Pets Wellness & Emergency Animal Hospital were caring, truthful, and timely. They communicated and educated very well. I can’t say enough about my experience here. My cat was hospitalized there for 4 days with a very serious illness that required surgery. Without proper treatment from this facility I’m not sure he would have made it through the night. Every single person I was in contact with throughout the process both by phone and in person was kind, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. Dr Ali is just an amazing doctor who works long hours to help out our pets. Just his smile puts my kids (and their cat) at ease. Staff are prompt and professional. They make it a point to return our calls and are very flexible and accommodating to our needs. We get regular reminders for shots and other updates. Scheduling is quick and easy. Amazing veterinary practice, performed a spay on my 8 month old kitten, the staff was not only incredibly kind and open but showed a level of compassion and honesty that is paramount in pet care. Dr. Ali went over all the costs upfront and was incredibly understanding and compassionate. The Technician team was professional and thorough and cared for my kitten they even trimmed her nails for free, my normally skittish kitten was very safe in their capable hands. I truly trust this practice and will return for all my pet care needs.

We love Dr. Ali. He was our vet when we've gone to VetCo in the past so I was comfortable having him do my dogs neuter and baby teeth removal. We dropped him off at 5:30 and picked him up at 9:30 with all of his medication and a to do list. They are operating hours are later than normal so it is sometimes hard getting someone on the phone, but they always call back and are responsive. Recommend! Photo of Zero after her procedure.

Last night my dog Alex started having some heavy breathing. He is my fur baby and I’m fairly new to the area so I wasn’t sure what to do. I found this Veterinary online and while I was nervous I was determined to make sure my dog was ok. I called and to my surprise they are open until 10pm the majority of the days they are open. Good news for us working pet parents. I was given an appointment for an hour and half later. The building is on a busy street but they have plenty of parking around the back. Dr Ali was amazing. He was compassionate, he validated my concern without causing me panic and had a healthy sense of urgency to get my pet seen. After he ran blood work and given him an x-ray he welcomed me to review every line of results and showed me his X-ray and talked to me about all the things he could see. Things we should keep an eye on and helped make a plan to move forward. I’m so incredibly happy with him, his practice and my experience that I had to share it! As I know other pet parents are looking for this type of experience with their own fur babies. Thank you so much Dr Ali ❤️

No other vet would take my cat when we were having an emergency. Vet for Pet took him in immediately a couple hours before they closed. Worked super fast and got him into surgery the same night. My family and I strongly recommend this vet. Dr. Ali and his team are phenomenal and offered genuine care to our dog, Lola. Karen, at the front desk answered our questions and walked us through the emergency surgery that was necessary for Lola and comforted us during our uncertainty. It is demonstrated through their actions that they are committed to the care of our loved ones especially because Dr. Ali went above and beyond to call us after hours (12am) and provided us with positive updates and a video (yes, a video which eased our minds so much!!!) of how Lola was recovering after the surgery. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience especially during a difficult time for our family. We look forward to continuing to go to Dr.Ali and his team for future care! I can’t begin to explain how much this clinic has brought me and my pet comfort. Recently my 2 year old Pitbull experienced a traumatic hit by a pick up truck. Within 15 minutes I was able to bring him in with what seemed like a life or death situation. Although I was frantic Dr. Ali assured me that he will do his best. He provided me with all the information needed and options on what we can do. I trusted him to a scary procedure of adding a wire to my dog’s fractured jaw. He did an amazing job. The procedure was done perfectly and I could not be more grateful that he gave my boy another chance. He kept me updated at all times sent me pictures and answered all my calls! They took great care of my pet they are absolutely recommended.

Dr.Ali is truly an angel. I brought my nugget Diesel into his office late night when Diesel couldn’t hold anything down, vomiting this was so scary. Diesel ingested some harmful toxins that were life threatening. Dr. Ali started immediate care, labs the whole thing. He explained step by step what was happening and what immediately needed to be done.. His communication with me was always constant sending videos and texting me Diesel’s progress. He even gave me his personal cell to contact him at any time, he always answered even at midnight because i just couldn’t stop thinking about Diesel. His office staff is just as wonderful VET FOR PET is truly a family here for you and your fur baby. Dr Ali and his staff are very professional and kind. This place gives you results fast and treats your pet perfectly. I am a two-cat owner. One of my cats had blood in his stool one time, we took him to other vet first but the other vet just took his stool sample and asked us to wait. One day later, my cat was nearly dead - he didn’t play, eat and drink but the other vet still didn’t give us any answers. They didn’t treat my cat with any medicine and charged us 200 just for a stool sample. So we took our cat here. Dr Ali treats my cat immediately and next day I can see my cat was getting better. Thanks a lot Dr. Ali saved my cat life. The staff here are very nice and professional as well. They will patiently teach you how to feed the meditation to your pet, answer any questions you have. The whole vet space are clean and neat. One time we are invited to be inside to see the X-ray result. I was amazed by how clean and organized the vet was. All the medicine bottles had labels and they were put neatly on the shelf. I didn’t even smell any animal smells inside the vet giving there are some animals there. Overall, I trust Dr.Ali’s vet knowledge and medication treatment. The staff there are also professional and friendly. The vet space is very clean and neat. I would definitely recommend anyone to go there.

Dr. Ali and his team saved my dog Zeke’s life. Deciding to leave the emergency vet we were with at the time to take Zeke to Vet for Pet was the best decision we could have made, and 100% saved my dogs life. Dr. Ali saw an abnormality in Zeke’s X-Rays that multiple doctors and radiologists had previously missed. He was able to pinpoint Zeke’s intestinal blockage and successfully treat his severe condition. He kept us informed and involved through the whole process, calling and texting us with updates and bringing us in to explain x-rays and chat with the team. I am beyond grateful to the talented and caring team at Vet for Pet, they are all truly invested in your pets outcome and will do all they can to help.

My family first came to see Dr Ali summer of 2016. We had our otherwise healthy 9 year old cat who had fallen very ill. We took him to a different local, very well known vet where we thought he would receive proper care. They told us he had fluid in his lungs and for an outrageous cost they could monitor him overnight, or for $400 we could put him down. We were not ready to take that for an answer or say goodbye to our pal, so we brought him to Dr Ali for a second opinion. He discovered his lungs were clear as could be, and the only thing wrong with our cat was a UTI (and we also found out he was FIV positive) that he treated and brought our cat back to perfect health. We celebrated his 15th birthday this year and every day with him since bringing him to Dr Ali has been a blessing. We have continued to only bring any of our dogs and cats here, and have never received anything short of exceptional care from Dr Ali AND all of his staff. They are always helpful, communicative, and very thorough in their diagnosing and treating every animal. They truly care about your pets like they are your own. I would never bring an animal anywhere else. This is not just a business, this a place that truly cares.

My dog , a small yorkie terrier , had a medical emergency and we had tried several different vets over the course of several days. With all the previous vets, We received incorrect diagnostics, left to wait in waiting rooms for hours, no call backs , and scammed for our money. Until we met Dr. Ali. He quite literally saved our dogs life . He took her in immediately, did surgery the same day , and genuinely cared for our dog as if she was his own . He even calls to check up on her, something that no other vet does! He is extremely considerate and caring, and my dog is now brand new.

In few words Dr. Ali saved our dogs life. Dr. Ali's staff were able to get us in same day we called for an emergency appointment - Jasper needed emergency surgery that evening which Dr. Ali performed, he as well stayed over night to be with him and care for him. So along with following all post op directions and medication our dog healed so well day after day and the incision couldn't have healed any better. We were blessed to find Dr. Ali and owe our dogs life to him. We were treated with such great care and couldn't have been in better hands. We will be returning for regular exams and all our vet needs. Thank you all for giving our pup back to us.

We called on a monday night to neuter our 17 lb jack russell, Jack. They told us it would be around $250 and they had availability that friday. The clinic was about 1/2 and hour away, so we dropped him off at 5:00 pm and waited at Buckland Hills and picked him up around 9:30 pm. It’s a small clinic, a bit drab, but service is amazing and the nurses took amazing care of him. They gave us his pain meds and antibiotics as well as a plastic cone of shame, but we ordered a Kong Cloud that he found more comfortable. He slept through the night and only woke up because he wanted to be placed on my bed. The next day he didn’t even know he had surgery and was almost completely back to his normal self. We’ll be back in March for his vaccines. The resident cats are absolutely adorable!!

They have always put my pets health above all else. I have been taking my dog Goose to Dr Ali for the past 18 months. Recently she needed a surgery to remove a growth on her gland. They worked with me on the price to make it more affordable. We went into the appointment thinking the worst, but she has made a full recovery and then some. She is 12 but acts like a puppy again. We also recently adopted a cat, and she has received the same great treatment as Goose. I cannot recommend Vet for Pet any higher. The staff is alway friendly and great with the animals.

They not like other vets they really care about making your dog comfortable. Their prices are affordable and they also stayed late with us. I requested an appointment Thursday night online for my cat Leon who was having urinary issues and within an hour I had an appointment scheduled for the following day. I appreciated the thorough conversation with Dr. Ali prior to Leon being seen and the conversation after his exam. I would’ve liked to be able to go in with my cat during his exam but I understand many vets are still practicing COVID protocols so I completely understand. I’m happy to have found a vet that has after work availability and is reasonably priced. I am definitely happy with the care provided and have already recommended Dr. Ali to friends. I’ve brought My 7 Year old cat Baby Tiger to The Vet for Pet clinic in East Hartford a few days ago, I couldn’t be happier to find such a great team of professionals and caring people. Dr Ali explained with such a patience and detailed every aspect of the treatment that My Beloved Cat needed! I was able to see the x rays and the inside of the facility that evening, extremely clean and cozy place! I was able to see My cat before I left her hospitalized two days before surgery and I was truly impressed by the good care the other pets that was also hospitalized at the clinic that evening was having, There was a very happy dog in a cage that seemed very enthusiastic to see visitors, so I left confident that she was in good hands! Dr.Ali has taken special care of my cat several times. Most recently, my cat was not eating and more lethargic than usual. After examining her, Dr.Ali let me know what was wrong, took her in for a couple days, and now she’s fully recovered! Dr Ali operated on my dog a few weeks ago to remove a foreign body he had ingested. Dr Ali did not jump to do the surgery immediately, but had my dog not eat for 24 hours to repeat the x-rays to see if surgery was necessary, which it was. It was nice to know that he did not operate immediately and put my dog through undue stress and was hoping for a different outcome. My dog is now home, happy, and back to normal! Five stars is not enough for Dr. Ali and his staff. After being turned away from every hospital in CT Dr. Ali’s clinic was a bright light in a stressful time. Poppy my 6 month old puppy was welcomed with compassion, kindness, warm hearts, and love. From the man that cleaned up her vomit to Dr. Ali’s son finding the perfect blanket to send her home in, this practice is like no other. Dr. Ali called me to check in with Poppy through the night after taking her home. Through the years I have taken my dogs to 4 different vets and Dr. Ali does not even come close. Not only does he care about your pet but he cares for you. He knew how anxious and scared I was for Poppy and he would pull me aside through his busy day to make sure I was ok. This is service that I would never expect nowadays. Bring your pets here, we couldn’t have been more thankful that we did.

We received a new puppy who seemed to he having an allergic reaction to something... after a friend of mine brought him to the vet the problem seemed to have gotten worse! Frantically I grabbed my phone and called Dr.Ali...we had a huge success with Dr.Ali and our dog baby the year before... my only problem this time me was cash, since I had been out of work for the past six months...well needless to say I came to the right place! You can tell they were more concerned with my puppies health then just collecting the money! Dr.Ali worked with me as far as the cost and treated our Brownie right away! Our dog Aspen was treated for pancreatitis at Vet for Pet. We can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ali and his staff. Our dog was hospitalized for 5 days. We brought him in expecting the worse, when we picked him up he was happy tail wagging and his perky self again. Our 15-year old dog was acting extremely lethargic and had stopped eating and drinking. This had happened once before and the following day she was fine. Unfortunately, we did not have the same results this last time. She seemed to be rapidly declining so I searched for an emergency vet (this occurred on a Saturday). After calling West Hartford who told me that the wait for triage was 1 hour with another potential 12-hour wait, I found Vet for Pets in East Hartford. I called and, after explaining her symptoms, they had me come in immediately. Without doing any tests, Dr. Ali immediately told me that she was anemic and recommended a diagnostic exam. Based on the results, he recommended surgery. He did not push us into anything but thoroughly explained the test results and gave us all the facts about what was wrong. As you can imagine, it’s a tough decision to have your 15-year old dog go through surgery. We made the decision and the surgery was a success. She would not have lived much longer without it. Dr. Ali was amazing - took the time to explain everything, was very knowledgeable, very compassionate and willing to do whatever it took for our dog to get better. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Ali and his practice. Dr. Ali and his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Dr Ali saved our dog Dexter’s life! Dr Ali removed an obstruction for our dogs stomach, and kept us in the loop at every step. He and his team acted swiftly before the obstruction was able to reach the intestines and cause further damage. The incision in Dexters stomach was small, and Dr Ali kept in touch with us throughout Dexters recovery. We are very grateful, and cannot thank Dr Ali and the team at Vet for Pet enough.

This place is great! The staff is super friendly and Dr. Ali is fantastic. You can tell he loves animals and loves what he does. We have had to go twice for emergencies after our regular vet office closed for the day. The ER in my town told us we would be waiting 6 hours in our car, both times. We brought our dog to Vet For Pet and they took care of our boy in a VERY reasonable time frame. Dr Ali really takes the time to talk to you and explain things, answer questions. Very friendly and very professional. I highly trust him. He is very thorough and I will continue to use them in emergency as I know my animals are in great hands there. Dr. Ali is very knowledgeable and super nice. He was able to diagnose and treat my puppy. My puppy was suffering for 2 weeks and no one could diagnose. We took him to a hospital in West Hartford. They charged us a lot, and after 2 days they said we can’t diagnose. So we took him to Vet for Pet clinic. My puppy is happy and healthy now. I highly recommend him. They also do a good job following up and reminding you the appointments.

I came with my Goldendoodle who I thought has a sprained leg, come to find out he had a broken tibia and they took such good care of my fur baby. The vet was spectacular and did surgery on my fur baby to get him back in shape to run again. I really appreciate everything this team did for my baby.

Our cat was hit by a car and managed to make it home to us. His back leg had been crushed and needed to be amputated. The emergency vet was going to cost an exorbitant amount just to remove his leg. Money we don’t have. The only other option was to put our beloved cat down. Time was of the essence and none of the local vets could see our cat for a week or more. He likely would have died from infection and shock. My husband called Vet for Pet in East Hartford. Dr. Ali himself answered and asked “tell me what’s going on.” He realized the emergency and took our cat in right away. The cost of the surgery at Vet for Pet was half the price of the emergency vet. He finished the surgery at 1 am and called to update us on how well everything went. His voice is calm and gentle and you can feel his love of animals. He was still with our cat at 3 am and sent us video to show us how well he was doing. Thanks to Dr. Ali, our cat should have many years left to love us. I will never forget his kindness.

Dr. Ali is kind, competent, and knowledgeable. Our cat had an injured leg and we took her to another vet, who told us she needed surgery. We got a second opinion from Dr. Ali (the doctor at Vet for Pet), and he found a better (and MUCH more affordable) solution for us. Our cat is happy and healthy, just one less leg than before :) it's just a few days after the surgery and she is healing nicely, and acting sweet and happy. My 12 year old lab has been declining over the last months but took a huge turn over the holiday week. I emailed Dr Ali on Sunday about a home euthanasia thinking I’d have to wait painfully and anxiously until the clinic hours of Monday at 5. I recently took my 4 week old puppy baby here after being seen at Connecticut Veterinary Center in West Hartford, where they told me my puppy's eye needed to be removed.😭 After calling and speaking to Dr. Ali about the surgery we came in the very next day. Dr. Ali gave her some antibiotics and scheduled surgery for the following day so I went home and prayed💔 Well the following day a miracle had occured! Her eye responded so well with just one day of antibiotics that Dr. Ali decided to take another approach and try to save her eye🙏 He then made a special serum from the blood of my puppy that I needed to inject into her eye every two hours along with another antibiotic to put on her eye 3 times a day. Patience, prayer and persistence paid off...we went and visited everyday for 10 days getting her daily shots and on Day 10I got the best news of my life!! 😇 Her eye had completely healed, the scar is now gone and she can even see again!!!🎉🎊 Needless to say from this point on, Dr.Ali will now become my primary care provider for all of our family pets😍 Also the kindness of his staff was amazing!!! They even came to the clinic on Sunday and even on a HOLIDAY on which they are normally closedall just to see my baby and give her her shot💜 For this I am forever grateful😘

Recently went with my kitten for a physical/check up ( Giselle). I payed 90$ for the check up and a deworming medication I believe, which to me is a price no other vet can’t beat. The staff made sure to be ready for me for my appointment and they were super nice and attentive and friendly with my kitty. Also! Everytime Dr.Ali walked past the door he waved at me! So friendly <3 . You can tell he likes his job. Since COVID, they now do a drop off/ pick up method which I like. Dr. Ali is wonderful! I called on a Friday night and they welcomed me and my Yorkie just 15 minutes before closing. My dog needed a small procedure done after I found a large dead tick over his eye. I'm thankful for Dr. Ali and his assistant who took great care of my dog whose rotting teeth were causing a sinus infection and ulcers on her gums. The decision to have her teeth removed was scary, but Dr. Ali promised that my dog would eat like normal after healing and her personality would be restored. The procedure was done immediately (after traditional business hours), did not require an overnight stay and significantly less expensive than other clinics. On top of getting my dog in same day (within hours), Dr. Ali correctly diagnosed the older of my two dogs with a condition that my other vet had missed and/or may not have considered she may have had. He was kind enough to answer the many questions I had and explain his answers in a way I could completely understand. Since then, my dog has been on regular medication and her condition has dramatically improved. The other high point about Vet for Pet is their later operating hours during the week and Saturday hours. For someone who often works late, Vet for Pet's later hours are a blessing to me (unlike other vets or animal hospitals who close right at 5 pm). Lastly, Vet for Pet is adhering to strict COVID-19 guidelines and doing their part to stop the spread of the virus during this pandemic, which is paramount to me. My wife already posted a great review about Dr. Ali and Vet For Pet, but I wanted to post one myself as well, because I feel enough can't be said about the wonderful experience we had working with Dr. Ali and the staff at Vet For Pet for the emergency situation we had with our kitty cat Jellybean. Jellybean had been missing for two days, and we found out when he made it home that he had broke his leg possibly from being hit by a car. An emergency vet center that we first took Jellybean to before taking him to Vet For Pet, told us he was definitely hit by a car and x-rays they took had shown one of his hind legs was shattered, and that something needed to be done for the cat as soon as possible. The leg reconstruction surgery they wanted to perform on Jellybean was just way too expensive for us to be able to afford. They even told us that a leg amputation would be a better option for both pain, healing, and an overall better outcome for our cat, but that their pricing for amputation surgery would be pretty much the same as the reconstruction surgery. That's when they suggested we try to bring our cat Jellybean to Vet For Pet. We are so glad they did, and we are so glad to have found Dr. Ali and his practice at Vet For Pet. Dr. Ali was able to do the very needed emergency surgery for our cat that night, which saved our cat Jellybean's life, and also at half the cost to us. Dr. Ali kept us posted on Jellybean's progress starting right after he completed the surgery with phone calls, text messages, and even videos of Jellybean before he would be ready to come home, which made us feel that we were not at all in the dark wondering how our Jellybean was doing. I can't emphasize enough the love and caring put forth by Dr. Ali and his staff at Vet For Pet. I absolutely feel they treat there customer's pets as if they are their own.

We rushed my 14 year old cat here last night when he was in clear distress and quickly crashing. They took him right in and rushed to give him the care he needed. The doctor was good about coming outside to update us on his condition. Unfortunately we chose to euthanize due to his age and his health. I found it incredibly unfair that we were not allowed to be with our baby for the euthanasia. Instead we had to stand in a tiny public area between the waiting room door and the outside door to say goodbye to him and then he was taken into the back. Every person I know that has had to euthanize during covid has been allowed to be inside with their animal for their passing. This is the reason of only giving them 4 stars. They provided him with great care.

We rushed our 8 week old bulldog in for an emergency appointment (after being misdiagnosed at our regular vet) and he was immediately diagnosed with Parvo. My Chihuahua mix had a back injury. My Dog was in pain for two weeks, and couldn't hardly walk. I had taken her to two different Vet clinics in six days, and they couldn't find what was wrong with her. Five times I had to take her back home in pain. The medications they gave her helped a little but didn't solve the problem. I called Dr. Ali and got an appointment for the next day. Dr. Ali recommended Laser therapy with anti-inflammatory medication. This is a new treatment for pain. After only one Laser treatment. Dr Ali saved our little kitty's eye! She is, was a feral and was attacked by a male that injured her eye severely, the eye ball,the lid and tear duct.. He had to do 2 surgeries and meds but she is as good as new! We went for the recheck and he did some x-rays for her on another issue we had, he explained them and he is just sooo kind and professional! The staff is super great toi! They talk so nicely and when they say he will call you back, he does. They know what you are trying to explain and act upon for you with all the info. I went to Vet for Pet clinic to get an EU health certificate to travel with my dog. The certificate was accepted and approved by the USDA, which was a tremendous relief. They knew how to take care of the document and got it done on time. I had become very unhappy with my veterinarian. I had a sick cat and I dreaded bringing him in. I happen to be driving by and I saw the sign on the building . When I read the clinic hours are 5pm to 10pm seven days per week, I was elated. No more waiting a week for one of the few after-work appointments, and no more high fee for bringing my pet in later in the day. I have never known of a vet who works on Sundays. What's most important is the doctor and his staff. Within minutes, I knew Dr. Ali truly loves animals. It's not just a business to him. The technicians (Nancy and Nicole) are topnotch and as caring as the doctor. The office isn't "fancy," but the equipment is modern and new looking. Nancy told me they haven't needed to advertise due to people telling their friends and family about the Vet for Pet Animal Clinic. I am not surprised! After exhausting the diagnostic procedures, I knew I had to let my boy go. It's always hard to lose your pet, but because Dr. Ali was thorough, I felt confident that euthanasia was the best for my pet; my poor cat was suffering. I spent 30 minutes alone in an examining room, so I could comfort him and say "good bye." The doctor and Nicole were very kind and gentle. I am definitely switching all my pets to this clinic. All changes saved Our dachshund had begun vomiting and having bloody diarrhea all of a sudden in the early evening. We scrambled to find a vet that was open- Dr. Ali's evening hours were perfect and they were able to see him immediately. Dr. Ali came out while we were filling out paperwork to address the emergency and saw that our boy was nauseous and began preliminary treatment to make him comfortable. After we entered the exam room, Dr. Ali immediately found a way to bond with our dog to help him with his anxiety. His assistant's questions were comprehensive and empathetic. Dr. Ali's follow-up was knowledgeable and they kept him overnight due to dehydration caused by hemorrhagic gastro-enteritis. They stayed late for him and kept us posted. We were able to get him the next day after he was feeling better and had x-rays. They took the time to explain the condition, and medications by referring to veterinary resources and reassured us that his condition was being taken care of. We are very grateful for Dr. Ali, his prices are very reasonable, especially for treating an emergency case for a dog he had never seen before.

After noticing my sweet 12year old chihuahua had been leaking discharge I immediately had a gut feeling it was pyometra even though she had no other symptoms. Our primary vet had postponed her spay various times because of her slightly elevated enzymes and 2nd grade heart murmur. I was afraid this would happen and it did. She had two litters before and so I thought it would decrease the chances but no it did not. I called multiple vets and nobody wanted to take her in. My last option was Dr.Ali and he took her in for a checkup the very next day to confirm if it was a pyometra. After bloodwork and xrays, it was confirmed and he immediately performed surgery and saved her life. The pricing was reasonable and she came back home to us alive. I am forever grateful for this. My family was so fortunate to find Dr. Ali and Nancy while on a trip to Hartford. Our dog ate a grape, which we learned can be extremely toxic and needed immediate medical attention. Vet to Pet was the only vet nearby that was open (it was a Sunday evening), and they took us right away. Dr. Ali made sure to update me throughout the whole process and was successful in quelling my fears while I sat in the waiting room. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients; he even looked at a report from our vet back home regarding our dog’s EKG, since it was looking abnormal. As we had a 6 hour flight scheduled for early the next morning to return home, he adjusted his treatment plan to suit our schedule. He recommended seeing a vet when we got home to check that our dog didn’t have any delayed reactions to the grape, and gave me his cell phone number to keep him updated. He responded immediately when I texted him, and despite getting positive news from the vet, it wasn’t until we heard Dr. Ali’s opinion that we fully felt relieved about the situation. It was refreshing to have a vet be so invested in his patients and their owners - we are so thankful and wish he was in our city!!

Dr. Ali treated our cat Princess who was not eating and had difficulty and urinating everywhere. Dr. Ali took her in right away and ran a battery of tests using his state-of-the-art equipment and found multiple stones, which he fixed surgically and found other problems that he put her on medications for. Within days, she was back to normal and has been a happy camper ever since. We have found Dr. Ali and his staff to be caring and very competent. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. I can not say enough good things about Dr.Ali and his team. My cat became lethargic and not himself and I brought him in on a Saturday which was hard to find a clinic available to take him. I came here because I live in Simsbury and needed an international health certificate to bring my dog home to Europe. There are only two vets in that area who are USDA approved and can do that. I went there weeks before to get everything lined up and they did a great job as my 11 months old dog starts getting a little bit uncomfortable at the vet. Getting an appointment works great and the wait time there is okay. Unfortunately you have to get the certificate 10 days before arrival in Europe and it needs to be send to NYC for approval. Things got a little bit stressful but it arrived one day before departure. I am thankful for their help and can recommend this vet to anyone.

If it was possible to give more than five stars, I would! We took our dog for her annual vaccinations at Petco on Saturday. Dr Ali was pretty upset with the growth in her mouth. He told us to call his office and make an appointment the same night and he would do a complete examination. We made the appointment, the examination went well and the growth was removed from her mouth. Sometimes it just takes someone who cares to make a dog and their family right again.

My friends pup had a plastic drawer fall over on him. He had labored breathing, blood coming out of his mouth and his eyes were already layed back. As soon as we fot there the staff and the doctor were so dilligent in taking action!! After xrays and pain meds and a few follow ups later the pup is alive and happier than ever!! Also to add the prices were reasonable for all the imaging and meds supplied. I’ve brought my cat to see this same doctor in the past as well for yearly check ups and you can tell he genuinely cares for these fur babies of ours!! I would recomend him hands down!!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ahmad. I have a chocolate lab who is 12 yrs old. Gus had a large wart on his eyelid, 2 on his nozzle and one in his ear. He also had 2 fatty tumors on his testicles. Dr Ahmad removed everything in one surgery. Gus had no problems and was back to normal within a few days. I love this place is amazing. My dog was experiencing an allergic reaction, and had ear infection. Dr. Ali noticed the severeness of the ear infection and flushed her ears to make sure he got the gunk out. His medical assistant is awesome as well. They are so nice. They also made sure I was able to afford anything else my dog needed if not they would try to work with me in regards of other alternatives to fix the problem. They are reasonable with prices and are very caring. Understanding my curcumstances he makes sure the dog is taken care of one way or another you will come out with meds for the issue at hand. He wont let your dog go without anything. He loves animals and thinks analytical of all situations. They dont judge you but simply try to understand your financial circumstances by common sense. They are awesome. My dog has healed in 4 days her ears are back to normal, not stinky, and her food was changed and she is no longer experiencing the itchiness. He also made sure that problem was taken care of before giving her shots which was a great move. He is not in this for the money but simply for your pets. We all have to understand the facility or medicines cant pay for themselves. However he will work with you and be the greatest doctor he can be. You will not regret him as a doctor be loyal to him and he will make sure you and your dog are healthy as can be. No matter what he will do this regardless. Just keep him updated. Dr Ali and Nancy are amazing with the animals! Having had pets my whole life and now running an animal rescue, I can tell you I've been to a lot of vets. These 2 are the best. My first visit, I brought in 8 kittens and a dog. I don't say much my first visit to any vet, I just watch to see how they are. These two went over each animal with a fine tooth comb. They were gentle, kind and very knowledgeable. They didn't try to talk me into anything that was not necessary for them, which I've seen all too often. Dr Ali, while looking at a kitten, noticed the dog was peeing too much. He suggested testing the urine for a UTI which he did have. He also saw some things on the kittens that we were told to keep an eye on. Since that day, I've brought many animals in. Several of them were near death. One that stands out, was Molly. She's a shih tzu who was throwing up and not eating. Dr Ali assessed her, kept her overnight and found she had closed pyometra. He did emergency surgery and saved her life. Then there was Lylah, who had cancer and is now thriving. The list goes on. He even came out to see 7 dogs we had taken in! Being in rescue, we deal with many animals. A lot of them have huge issues. I fully trust Vet For Pet to handle all of their needs and highly recommend them. I gave 5 stars but would give 10 if I could :) Thank you both for all you do!

On July 2nd, we decided to go ahead with the surgery and YOU AND YOUR TEAM SAVED OUR BABY BOY SIMBA!!! Without the surgery, we were going to lose him with in days… Today is August 22, 2020… he is still with us… spreading smiles, wagging his tail, enjoying his doggie ice-creams and treats… He is giving and receiving love every day. He is enjoying family get togethers and getting invited to the cookouts where is pampered, spoiled, loved, kissed, hugged while he is enjoying hot dogs and burgers… The reason I wrote all that is because all those little moments give quality to someone’s life. For almost two months prior to the surgery, he stopped enjoying those moments, he spent time alone and did not care to eat, or be around anyone. Dr. Ali, YOU CHANGED HIS LIFE!!! I don’t know how long he will be with us… all that I know that he is with us today and he is happy for most part. I know he is not at 100% of his health… but healing takes time… physically and emotionally. He is in good spirits and so are we. THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU. You listen to the concerns, you acknowledge the fears and worries, you address the issues and come up with solutions. You understand that it is hard to let go a pet… and you support the informed choices we make, keeping Simba as a priority in the decision-making process. We took our sons service dog( akasha) who is like a family member for diagnosis test to figure out what was causing her to poop blood for 3 days..we were beyond worried...our son is autistic and relays on akasha for so much - he loves this dog, they've been best friends for 5 years! Dr.ali was kind and understanding.we thought our dog might have a blockage and may need surgery..after a exray and blood work we were relieved to see there was no blockage.the Dr kept examining her until he seemed to find another reason for her behavior...he grabbed some medicine and slowly fed it to her..he said we must try something else, after, he sent us home with medicine..the very next day we were amazed to see akasha up with her tail wagging! Dr. Ali saved my kitty's life ! She had swallowed something and kept throwing up. After two days she just stopped eating. By the time we took her Dr Ali's clinic, we had wasted a lot of time. She was very very sick and couldn't even keep her eyes open! The swallowed thing had moved far into her gut. Anyone else would have done a risky surgery that may not have saved her life. Dr Ali took a different approach. He admitted her, put her on antibiotics, painkillers and started given her fluids from a drip. He would do X-Rays every so often to look for the obstruction. He would call and give us updates every 8 hrs. After three days of hospitalization, she finally passed what looked like a piece of sticky rubber band. We are so grateful to him for saving her life !

I took my Puppy who had a huge bump on his head. All the staff and doctor Ali was quick to respond. Everyone was so caring and explain us everything in detail. Dr. Ali took all the time to explain me what happened and what we should expect. Operation was done very next day and everything went smoothly. I would like to rate 10 out of 5 if I had the option. We have had two surgical matters handled by Dr. Ali and his team of professionals. They’re in East Hartford and we travel from Western Mass because they’re that good and worth the trip. Our 11 year old baby, Gibbs is very relaxed when we get there and has never hesitated when they take his lead. If you care about your fur baby like we do, take the time to pay them a visit at Vets for Pets!!!!

Take my 🐈‍⬛ (Goldo) with a fractured jaw. They were very kind to me and patiently explained to me the process by which it was necessary to perform an operation. In this clinic their priority is to improve the health of your pet. I recommend them 💯 I want to thank the whole team 🙏
