This office is absolutely wonderful. They work really hard to be kind and efficient. They let you know if there is a wait for your visit and how long it will be. They have always treated us and our dog like family and they are exceptional at including you in on all your pets needs and care. The vet techs, office staff and drs are all phenomenal. Kindness and compassion can be hard to find these days and this office goes above and beyond.

Our Chorky Eddie needed serious dental work. Those people as alway were excellent. It cost me $1,000 but I'm not going to leave our little boy in pain with rotten teeth so I payed it. (They prequoted me this price anyway) and was well worth it. Eddie is much happier with no 24/7 mouth pain. 😁

Caring, kind, helpful, and honest. They do their best to make sure my dogs are healthy and comfortable. From routine check ups and scheduled shots to, “emergency” calls seeing my dog within hours in the same morning she was sick with hives all over her body. My dog is anxious and dog-aggressive and they always make sure that she has a safe way to enter and exit her appointments and is comfortable in them. Plus the safety and seriousness they implemented into their protocols regarding covid, coming out to your car for intake. They are always doing the right thing for me and my animals.

They took wonderful care of our older cat who needed both ear canals removed due to infection. Most recently they took care of our 8 week old kitten who needed routine kitten checkup! 🐾 They offer reasonable rates, lower than most clinics in the area. Won’t go anywhere else!

The staff was pleasant and very wonderful. Had my first apt for my puppy. After trying other vets, this is the one for me. The doctor is very caring and down to Earth. Not forcing or pressuring you into things, but educating you on the matter. No contact apt was a breeze. Didn't have to wait too long to be seen. Parking lot was a good size. They are busy here, but are Def worth the wait.

Doctor Andrea is the best vet you could ever ask for! The entire staff obviously loves every animal they care for and do a great job at getting dogs to feel comfortable with them. I have been going there for over 20 years and have never had any concerns. A vet visit can be costly, but they have very fair prices. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby 🐶

My little Charlie came to me after a horrendous life in a puppy mill. He had major emotional and health issues, finally culminating with diabetes and blindness. Dr. Autorino and her entire staff were always amazing with Charlie, and I feel very blessed he was under their care. I cannot say enough about this wonderful staff and facility.

I love everything about this vet! They are very caring to both the animals and to us owners. Our cat Jasmine needed to go in for her annual check-up (shots, etc.) & also had a tick bite that was infected. Our cat needs to be sedated when she goes for her visit,because she freaks out. By no means is this a reflection on the staff, she’s a rescue and always has been like this when she gets examined. They first try to see what she will tolerate, but inevitably has to be put out. The staff called me twice thru the day to let me know her status & for sign-off for an injectable antibiotic. They are also reasonably priced & I trust them completely. I highly recommend them for any pets care.

I have been bringing my beloved dog there for the past 9 years. I have made numerous calls and a few visits during the past 6 months because my aging dog has some issues with her health that are concerning to me. Every single vet tech is very patient with me and well informed and has given me accurate information on the phone whenever i have a question. They also run my questions by the Vet and get back to me promptly with answers. The Vets are compassionate and always discuss different options on how to provide the best quality of life for my dog. The treat my very senior dog like she is part of their family. I highly recommend this hospital as they truly love animals and their fees are reasonable. Keep up the wonderful work you do Double A.

The vet and techs are so responsive when you call and leave a question, and don't have you come in unless it's necessary. They are so sweet with my dog. During Covid they come out to your car to get your pet and then call you during/after the exam to go over everything. My dog gets the best care from everyone there. You can tell they all love animals.

I've lived lots of places and had many vets over the years - this is my hands down favorite. The staff is cheerful and polite and genuinely interested on all the critters coming and going. All three vets are fantastic, thorough and generous with their time. A few years ago, as a relatively new customer, I had to have my beloved dog put to sleep. I had had a terrible experience with this previously so I was really upset. Dr Artorino was so gentle and loving with our dog (and us!) during this process, allowing us lots of time to talk and grieve. Since then our two new adopted dogs have been well cared for. Double A's fees are very reasonable as well.

Dr. Andrea and all the staff went above and beyond to help our cat Rikku. She needed a surgery and they inform us of every step. They even stated after the closing time to do the surgery the same day, making sure she was awake and well before leaving. Our cat cannot be in better hands! Thank you so much for everything!

Had to put my beloved Elliott to sleep, which was one of the most painful things I've had to do. Staff was amazing and Dr. Andrea allowed me to stay with Elliott for as long as I needed. She was soft spoken and very gentle with him, which helped. My rescue Chihuahua has a heart murmur and they are right on top of it. The care they give her is amazing. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I took my 17 yo cat here because I did not like the bedside manner when my dog passed at another local vet.My pets are my family. I can not say enough about the absolute compassion they showed us. I was so upset and crying having to say goodbye to my sweet girl. The kindness they displayed was so incredibly heartwarming. Two days later I recieved a hand written card from the Dr.! A month later I got a letter from Tufts University. They made a donation in my cats name!!!! Now THAT is a great company! Client for life.

Dr. Andrea and the other vets in her practice are top notch. They are caring and professional. Calls are returned promptly and time is made for emergencies. They have a hospital facility and boarding on site and have specialty foods, flea prevention, heartworm prevention, probiotics and joint preserving items as well as a full pharmacy. I have brought my dog there for over 3 years for routine and emergency care, hospitalization and boarding. I am always comfortable there. But, more importantly, Bella always runs to their door with her tale wagging! She makes it very obvious how much she loves it there.

This week was the hardest week of my life because we had to say goodbye to two of our best friends, our 16 1/2 year old cat Ashes and our 16 year old cat Ember. For those of you that have had to say goodbye you know how devastating it is, but two in one week was too hard to bear. I am not sure without Dr. Andrea's compassion and that of her entire staff and Dr. Pina I would have made it. My heart is broken and there is nothing that can heal that, but I thank Dr. Andrea for giving me the strength to give my best friends the greatest gift I could give them peace and an end to their suffering. We will see you all at the bridge. Yes you may have a hard time getting through to them on the phone at times, but that only speaks as to how many people agree at what incredible care you will receive at Double A Veterinary Hospital.

She and her staff of veterinarians, techs and assistants are all pet lovers and work with clients to deal quickly with the needs of their pets. They also board cats and dogs. I've gone to Double A Vet and have known Dr Andrea Autorino for years. She is an excellant Veterinary Doctor and has an awesome staff. The office is busy and yearly appointments can easily be planned in advance. The place is spotless, the care is outstanding and all of my animals needs are always taken care of. As far as emergency care, I know if I call with an issue that it will be handled in a timely manner. The rates are extremely reasonable and always have been.

I'm not sure what's up with the nasty and harsh reviews lately. I suspect the they are from the same family or refering to the same case? I strongly disagree with these folks who forgot to take their grumpy pants off! The staff is extremely knowlageble, friendly, and always seem to be working very hard! It's nice to walk into a busness and be treated like family. My dogs have gotten the best care from Double A, including the many suguries that they have gone in for! Disgusting? Animal abuse? That's a joke, now stop it.

I highly disagree with Jenna! My numerous pets (3 dogs: 2 older dogs and 1 puppy, as well as my cat) have been patients of the Double AA vets for years and I don't have a single bad thing to say about the clinic. In a matter of fact I wanted to write a review for them today because I'm super happy about the way they just took care of my oldest dog. Not only were they able to 'squeeze her in' ahead of a normal waiting period because I could go into labor any minute, but the price I had to pay for the amount of work that my old girl had to get done is more than reasonable. I've been to a number of local vets in the past and about 5 years ago I chose the Double AA clinic as my permanent vets because they always manage to take care of my animals in the best possible fashion and they have no problem working around my schedule. The clinic is not overpriced by any means and anybody who's shopped around for a vet in the Wethersfield/Newington/Rocky Hill area could attest to that. I know that lately it hasn't been easy to get an appointment with these guys, but that's because several other vets in town closed down and the Double AA clinic got their patients. However, (and that's from my personal experience) when it comes to emergencies, such as getting shots for a puppy or taking care of a problem with an older dog that can't wait, the clinic staff always manages to find time to take care of their patients.

I don't know about these poor reviews but I have witnessed first hand the staff respond to a emergency before payment was even in place . She heals and rehabilitates dogs and then finds new homes for them when their owners abandon them when they are sick! The best vet ever!
