Absolutely love this place!! I helped a friend out and took his dog to get his ears clipped. Not sure how they look yet but they definitely made it easy on me with the little information I had and a picture I handed them after they handed me a picture of 3 types of cuts I said I don't know but I really hope yall know which one based off this picture bc he said he thinks it's a medium cut and they said no it's a show cut and had no problem with us bringing a picture. Very nice and knowledgeable! This was my first time in there and I watched them say hello to multiple customers by name, deal with an upset customer very calmly, smooth, apologetic and owned the mistake and corrected it with in 5 min. The customer went from very frustrated to happy that fast also. Then they moved on without missing a beat and alternated walk ins and appointments without making anyone feel like a burden. Good job yall! I don't know.... I'm gonna miss the cute floppy ears! 😊

Incredible vet clinic — we’ve taken our dogs several times over the last few months and are always pleasantly surprised by how great the experience is. They don’t make appointments, so you do have to wait in line, but the staff are friendly and everything is quite efficient. It’s nice that you can go any day and be seen. Most recently we unfortunately had to put our older dog down — I was dreading the experience but the staff and vet who helped us were so kind and gentle with us and made it go as smoothly as possible. Very thankful to have found this place.

Would recommend this clinic to any and everyone. They are so helpful, understanding, and through. Prices are the most fair on the coast other than maybe the humane society's Louise Fenner Clinic, but due to the heavy burden he means society is often out of many medications, which is actually what brought me to Gulfport veterinary hospital in the first place. Always very clean, staff is always friendly and patient. My go-to veterinarian!!

Had a few encounters w them. Last year when someone @ foxes rv Park poisoned some of the cats all 4 of mine died they tried to help one I brought in cuz she was so bad they couldn't help her I didn't try to help my other 3 I just had one put down the next day and watched the other 2 do good for bout a wk or 2 and they died my neighbor brought in his 8 yr old dog got a few extra wks w him then had him put down. Moved to a store front across the st and my dog was escaping and they would bring her back so nice people they do try.

I was referred here by a friend and was not disappointed. The techs/ vet were very friendly but got things done in a timely manner. The staff just want what's best for your animal and are understanding of budgets. You dont pay a visit fee, just for vaccines/ medications/ procedures. Only downside is that they are now only walk in, so waiting in a tiny room can get hectic, but you cant complain for the service. If the telephone line is busy, wait and call back. Thank you for helping my fur baby!

One of the few places where they have a vet that deals with exotics. Brought my leopard geckos and bearded dragon multiple times and my experience with Dr. Askew is always pleasant. Prices are fair and they don't overcharge. The only negative I have is make sure you get there early as soon as they open sign-in. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but it's worth it.

A year ago now, my dog, Bella, got very sick. We though she wouldn't make it through the night. Luckily she did, so we loaded her into the truck and brought her here, under family recommendations. These people here were so nice, and did EVERYTHING in their power to save her, even if it was unsuccessful. If I could get past the memories of my fur baby being there.... I would take any future animal back to them. I trust these people with my animals 100%.

My Little Bit has been sick since Friday night. I hace watched her health deteriorate over the weekend and Monday morning I set out to find a vet to help my little dog get better. The people at the hospital have been absolutely wonderful to both my dog and me today. I just paid all my bills with my last check but they found a way to help me save my dog even without having access to money until 10 days from now. She now has a fighting chance of surviving thanks to the staff at Gulfport Veterinary Hospital! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I just wanted to recommend Gulfport Veternary hospital on pass road. I’ve been going to them for year. But what happened today, was a clear reminder of why we trust them so much with our fur babies. One of our babies was on the brink of dying on us early this morning from a bowel obstruction. We ran in with her in our arms because she was so lethargic and I was panicking and crying. The staff there was so compassionate and the vet even more. He saved our fur baby’s life today! She’s doing amazing, and will be hospitalized through the weekend. If you ever are in need of an amazing vet, staff and amazing prices in vet care, they’re your go to!!!!

We needed some liquid newborn kitten formula (he was only vet that had the kind we needed), for the runt of the litter which was stillborn, which my Girlfriend brought back. There is a disconnect between her and the Momma right now.

Brett Lee, DVM and the staff at Gulfport Veterinary Hospital are AWESOME! I have always used them for my veterinary care, but had not been in about 2 years. I was a little nervous because I have a Pittbull and I know the stereotypes that people have about them. Dr. Lee and staff took care of my dog with little problems. They were patient and gentle despite my pooch being "fractious." After two years they still had my dog's records on file, we left with everything we went in for. They have boarded my dog for me and they spayed her when she was a pup. I have always felt their prices were reasonable and they give military discounts! I love them!!

Came here once last week to treat ringworm in all of my animals, I was prepared to spend over 100 dollars at least, and only spent 47.50 at checkout INCLUDING medication for all three of my fur babies. The staff is extremely nice and professional. There's only walk ins so you may have a wait, but I promise it's worth it. They will take care of you.

Today was my first visit to this vet. I took my 8 y/o Yorkie and 16 y/o Coton de Tulear for updated vaccines. The office is currently undergoing renovations, the lobby was a little warm but the staff was very friendly. My Yorkie will be having her teeth cleaned tomorrow. I’m very nervous about a new vet, so I checked out their reviews. I have to say I’m VERY particular and protective of those babies. I got a good feeling that they will be taken care of, so I will do a follow up review when I get the Yorkie back tomorrow evening. I will agree with another review that their office is very busy so be patient.

New residents in town Pugsley had ear mites. Even though it was late in the afternoon I got us in got medicine for his ears without too much of a wait and the most important part my puppy dogs loved the veterinarian! Nicest practice I've ever used. Never try to up-sell me, always tell me up front costs, worked with me when my cat had emergency treatment. And very compassionate when one of my older cats died. It's mostly walk-ins, so you don't have to pray for an opening, and though this sometimes mean you wait for a while-anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours on a high traffic day, if you are in the door by 3:30, they do their best to take care of you.

Took my amazon parrot there, everything was great. Went to pick her up at 4 30pm and they called me 2 times and kept there door open till 530pm and even clipped her nails :) and gave her meds. They were very understanding with her issues. And even said she might have arthritis in her legs...beings how old she is. But they were great :)

The Very Best and most reasonable price Vet in the area. Trim your dogs nails for FREE and you can take them just for that too. The people working there are GREAT. This place is VERY BUSY. Doesn't make appt. Walk in only and closed from 11:30- 1:30 (I believe) Daily. Cost of dog food like z/d hills science diet still same here $$$ but like office visit is 25.00. Be prepared to wait but if you have a big dog like me we wait in the car and Josh will come get you or get there early but still be prepared to wait and don't forget to sign in they go by that list even to pick up food but call ahead and they will have it up front for you to pick up they are good people.

Wonderful staff, very loving towards the animals. Very busy clinic because of the low cost for services they are slammed daily yet they have a smile for you no matter what. As to that stupid girl that got mad that they gave her cat shots, sounds to me like she would have gotten pissed if if they didn't, what a stupid Bi Gabi is to complain that they made a simple mistake. I wish every place was as good as this one. I am in heaven when I go there because I can not afford a lot in life yet they are manageable.

I have had my fair share of vet clinics but this one tops them all. My dog Lucy was 19yrs old. We took her there for her last 15 years. The clinic helped us take care of her and when she needed immediate surgery, they didn't demand everything up front. They allowed me to pay $50- 75 every two weeks...whatever I could afford. They were amazing! There products are very affordable and most of all...they cared about the health and well being of our family member, not just making money. They are an amazing family oriented and caring place. I don't see myself going anywhere else. Thank You !!!

Very helpful and inexpensive vet! My has been having issues with UTI's, they got me in fairly quickly, was told Monday and Friday are their busiest days, but I was still seen in a timely manner, think I waited 30 minutes as a walk in customer. Will go back if more issues arise!

I found out my new puppy had The Dreaded PARVO when i brought him in for his first shots.. It was a long hall, but they were able to save him. I love their prices, although it was expensive this time with the Parvo, it was still better then any other local vet would have been.

I’ve been coming here for years. I read the complaints over the years. I think people look too much into petty things. I’ve never had a bad experience. Even tried more conveniently located vets in Long Beach where I live and disliked them to come back to GVH. I’ve lost a cat to cancer diagnosed at an emergency vet in Mobile. Got a second opinion at GVH, my vet during normal business hours. It was an emotional roller coaster for me and the female vet was nothing short of amazing. Very sensitive through my emotions. My cat was 12 years old and lived every hardship with me. They guided me until the end. When it was time to put her down, I balled like a hurt toddler- I was never rushed or made feel awkward (I’m not a big crier so it’s already awkward for me). They helped me arrange cremation and get my Baby in her urn. That was 4 years ago and I now run a rescue. From Mobile to Long Beach, I just don’t have a better recommendation. I keep going back when I conviene myself saving time would be better. There is a substantial wait but with any service- it’s worth waiting for because of 1. The experience and explanation they provide to help you fully understand 2. Money —- I don’t need a fancy vet office with waterfalls in the lobby. I need knowledge, passion, and not to have to stress about what leg i want to give up for my animals each time a vet visit is needed.

The Doctors and Staff are the best I've ever seen. They are straight forward with you, the prices cannot be beat and they will work with you if needed. They treat your pet as if it was there own.. even if there price is higher on some products, they will let you know where to get it to save you on cost

I do not recommend this place for long term boarding of your animals if they need alot of space. They will be kept confined in their cages most of the time unless they take them outside to walk, stretch and go potty. I thought the price was fair and I think they tried their best to accommodate my two large dogs, but one of my dogs had rashes and sore spots on him and he was very sore and sensitive for a few days. He also had a stomach bug, they say from stress, and he was pooping diarrheah with blood in the stool for two or three days. So they charged me $50 more for prescription pills to take care of his diarrheah. I guess that was from having to stay in the cage so much. So, it's not a good choice to take your large dogs, especially for extended period of time -- in my case it was two weeks. Bad decision on my part. I will love them credit though, they allowed my dogs to stretch out and lie down in the storage room sometimes. Thank you for doing that. The one major problem I had though was how unsanitary the back door entrance was where they directed me to take my truck so I could pick up my two dogs. I drove around back and there were dozens of piles of dog poop on the asphalt where I had to park and get out and walk up to the back door. I stepped in a couple of piles of dog poop. I do not know how much of that dog poop was getting brought back into the kennel area, but I cannot imagine it being that sanitary or healthy for the dogs, or possibly the staff. They should hose down the asphalt out back every day once or twice a day or as often as necessary. I know the dogs got to do their business, and I know there is not much grass outside, but if you run a business there, I think it is incumbent upon the business owners to ensure it is free of excess dog poop.

I’ve always really liked Dr Geotes. Now that he’s retiring, we’ve seen the other doctors there. We are treated well and they are very caring. Very reasonable on office visit and med costs. And will work with you on post dated payments in emergency situations. *they have boarding-if you’re ok with your pets being kenneled (I’m personally fine with it) I do miss Dr Geotes though!

I have used this veterinary clinic for more than 15 years, and I will never give my business to any other clinic. Their prices are the lowest you will find anywhere. A few years ago when I brought a kitty in to be neutered, I called that afternoon to check on him. She put the phone aside to ask the vet how he was doing, and I heard her say "Thomas's mom is on the phone, she needs an update on his surgical status". I do not have human children, and I consider my pets to be my kids. So it was so nice to hear her refer to me as his mom. And in my experience with them, this is exactly how they treat every single patient; they're treated as very valuable and cherished members of our families. About 8 years ago, my cat Thomas was stung by an insect under his chin. It was a Sunday afternoon and I began to panic when I realized that his throat was swelling and his breathing was very labored. At that time, I didn't realize that he had been stung by an insect; I only knew that he was having trouble breathing. I called the animal ER in Woolmarket and described his symptoms. I told her that I only had $250 to my name and I'd spend every penny to get Thomas immediate medical care. Her response was "honey, for $250 all we can do is put him down for you". I hung the phone up on her, and spent that Sunday night with Thomas in my lap, struggling to breathe, with my hand under his chin trying to help hold his airway open. I called every single vet in the phonebook, to listen to each of their answering machines outgoing messages to find out which vet opened up the earliest. A half hour before the 1st vet opened, I raced down to their office and pounded on the door. Two ladies were standing behind the desk, just watching me as I held my sweet baby while he struggled for air. They didn't open the door to let me in until the office officially opened. I ran in, explained the situation, and I was told "$250 won't even cover the lab work and xrays, but we can put him down for you ". I ran out of the office, and even though Gpt Animal Hospital didn't open for another half hour, I raced there and stood outside the door waiting for them to open. Within minutes, one of the ladies behind the desk noticed Thomas and me and she ran to the door, unlocked it, and grabbed Thomas from me am raced to one of the exam rooms while yelling for the doctor. I went to the desk and explained his symptoms. Looking back now, I could've avoided all of this by simply giving him liquid Benedryl, but at that time I had no idea that animals could take human Benedryl. I had called my cousin Rachael in the middle of the night to beg her to loan me money so that I could race him to the animal ER, bit she was asleep and her ringer was turned off. Not long after I got to the vet's office, she called me to ask which vet's office I was at, and told me she would be there soon with more cash. So the vet determined that Thomas had been stung by a bee or other insect, and he gave him 3 injections which began to work almost immediately. He then mixed the 3 meds together, and gave me enough medication to give him an injection twice a day for 10 days. He also gave me 20 syringes and needles, and showed me how to administer the injections. When Thomas and I got to the front desk to check out, Rachael was there in the lobby waiting for us. She handed me $200 in cash to add to my $250. And then the receptionist says "That will be $27.50". I stood there shocked. The animal ER and the other vet's office wouldn't offer any kind of medical intervention for $250, and this doctor at Gpt Animal Hospital just saved my baby's life and only charged me $27.50 for the visit, 10 days worth of medication (3 different types of meds, at that), 20 syringes and 20 needles. This is why I will never ever take my pets to any other vet. It's very rare these days to find a good vet who is much more interested in the health and well being of their furry patients, than in how much money they can make off each of us. I know this review is VERY long, but I felt this experience needed to be shared.

usually very busy.. best to make appointment.. maybe be 15 mins just to pickup products.. must sign in for anything.. an wait your turn.. staff is nice and vetranarin /owner is best on the coast.. but he is semi-retired now.. so he has new vetranarin that I have only heard good things about... the other vetranarin that has been there for many years is now at the Biloxi location only... small waiting room.. but good prices and service make up the difference... would be better if they expanded to include the rest of the whole building.. but that's probably what keeps cost down.. as with any vetranarin it's up to each individual as to go there or to another one.. but this one is very central located.. an easy to find...
