This place is amazing. I had wondered if I was settling for less than quality care when every other vet in town was fully booked while this one doesn’t take appointments. It turns out I LOVE the walk-in system, and the quality of care is fantastic. Some people are saying they waited a long time, which is a risk surely, but the three times I’ve come I’ve been taken in right away. I’m usually there either just before or just after their 12-1 lunch break. Walk-in means I’m never late for an appointment (this is huge for me) and as I spend my day wondering if I should be concerned about my dog, I don’t have to be concerned about getting an appointment in time if I decide she does need to see a vet. Walk-in doesn’t mean I have to wait, it actually means I don’t have to wait because the moment I’m concerned about my pet I just put her in the car and go, and not wait hours or days for an available appointment. This is actually a terrific system. A special huge thank you to Alex, who I think is a vet tech here. I had major decisions to make with a stray cat who “adopted me”. She talked me through my conflicted feelings about having a cat, and was next level in her concern for the cat’s best life plan. I hope the office knows how special Alex and her compassion for animals is and that she’s the treasured employee that she should be. Because of the extra attention to care I will recommend this vet to everyone always. Thank you!

Our go to vet for 5+ years. They are incredibly compassionate and respectful of your financial situation. Whenever I take my dog in I know in advance what out of pocket costs I will have. It is walk in only so it does fill up. I suggest getting there a half hour before they open to avoid waiting in a long line. They also close for lunch- it’s a small team. They are so wonderful though just having these factors in mind (if you want to pay more for convenience go somewhere else.)

My baby was nervous but she overcame. They were efficient with walk in customers as well as chromes with appointments. We did not wait long, and the reduced priced help save me much needed money. She will co tubule to be a patient there.

This walk-in clinic is very organized and well managed and caring. I was able to take my sick cat here when my regular vet couldn’t get her in for days and she got seen within an hour. The doctor was very kind to me and to my cat and took very good care of her. They were very efficient and answered all of my questions.

Excellent service. This is a walk-in clinic, and if you are not ok waiting, then do not come here. I called in advance and was made aware of typical wait times and the best days to come. We waited an hour for our neighborhood "Feral" cat to have treatment for an abscess. We were in and out very fast. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and the prices are fair. I will be back if there is an emergency or a need that comes up last minute which can not wait for an appointment.

Pros: ~ if your regular vet is unable to see your pet and you need to be seen that day, this is a better option than going to an animal emergency hospital and shelling out the big bucks ~ they get the job done ~ they are reasonably priced Cons: ~ front desk staff was not professional and gave me unsolicited (not to mention, unhelpful) advice when I walked in and explained the problem ~ you need to have half your day available in order to get in here ~ I was told what vaccines they were going to give my pet rather than asked if I was okay with it or given options. Definitely did not appreciate that! ~ it's almost guaranteed nobody will answer the phone if you try calling My advice: ~ Have a regular vet and use Red Barn as your back up if you absolutely need to be seen same day and cannot get in with your regular vet ~ This vet is a great option in a semi-emergent situation IF you have the time to wait ~ You will probably not experience the level of professionalism that you get at your regular vet but I do believe these people are trying their best to care for animals. They might just have better animal skills than people skills!!

I was very pleased with Red Barn. I arrived with my three dogs and I was in and out in no time. The staff were very friendly. The doctor that treated all of my fur babies was very nice, professional, she had a way with making my dogs seemed more relaxed. As she went along she explained what she was doing and her diagnosis. They are so kind. I was not expecting the kind of appointment that I ended up with 😭😭😭, but everyone was kind and considerate and helpful. The office is clean and organized, and every procedure and option was explained in detail. The doctor made me aware of charges and future charges depending on the choices I had to make. Brought an injured kitten in to get looked at. Unfortunately by the time I had made it there the infection of their injury had become neurological and he had to be put down. My only complaint was how long the wait was. I had made it there around 11-11:30 and they told me I had to come back at 1. Must’ve been going on a lunch break. They failed to give me a heads up that there would be a line to get in since they have walk in appointments. So after waiting in my car with my suffering kitten for an hour and a half I get out to see a long line waiting at the door. Made it through the line and then had to sit in my car for another 30 minutes before they called me to come in. The veterinarian was very kind and gave me a discount on the euthanasia since my kitten was so small and I was obviously very distraught. She gave him the shot and said she’d be back shortly to check on him. I waited as long as my patience could stand before walking out of the office with my deceased kitten. The outcome would’ve overall been the same even if they had gotten me in when Initially got there but it was heartbreaking to watch this baby suffer for almost 3 hours before we were able to put him out of his misery.

Our cat was sick and all the vet offices are booked right now. Fur Wellness (our vet) recommended Red Barn Vet and we had a great experience. They take walk-ins and it was the only way our cat could be seen other than an emergency vet office. Dr. Curley was very nice and our cat will be better shortly! The office was clean and staff was friendly. We got right in and out. Grateful!

I brought our 2 dogs in for their shots last week, and everything went smoothly! Dr. Allison Marr is the best! She made our dogs comfortable, and when she gave them their shots, they didn't even know it was happening!! I highly recommend the Red Barn!

Went to this place today at the recommendation of another vet. They were doing walk-ins between 1 and 330pm. They were able to see me and my cat immediately even with 5 other people waiting in the parking lot. My cat got an x-ray and some medicine for pain. Turns out he now has arthritis. They gave me an itemized list of all the medicine and procedures he had when I left. I would take my pet here again if I had to.

Seen my injured Rosie pup after a 15 foot fall through a set of stairs on to the cement patio. Did a Walked in appiontment to a friend staff and quick service, Reasonable priced visits. Have recommended them to all my friends and family. Though it was a great distance for me to travel, I will be using thier services again without hesitation. Thier walk in emergencies reminds me of old school vet care where they treat you and your pet like family. Can't say enough great things about it.

Took almost 3 hours of waiting to get some antibiotics for my dogs UTI (which I already knew was a UTI and just wanted the medicine). Doctor was in the room literally 5 minutes tops and that was it. Cost me $132 and only $16 of that was for the medicine.

SAVED OUR DOG'S LIFE! This was our first visit. Our 11-year-old dog got into something. He got so sick almost overnight. We called our regular Vet.no Dr in for the day. called another Vet that we thought possibly could get us in, nothing. It's the day before Christmas Eve knowing we needed to do something before the holiday. It was suggested to us that we try here. Walk ins only. By this time we had to lift our 80lb. dog into the car. We knew it was a very good possibility he was to sick to make it back home. After Dr Curly took blood and x-rays he told us he thought it was possible he was poisoned. He gave him a huge shot of steroids and antibiotics to come home with us. Our dog was so miserable. We slowly watched him improve. By New Years day he was back to being his old self! We will be coming back for regular checkups! THANKS DR CURLY FOR SAVING BUBBA'S LIFE!!!!

This is Taco the only co-dependent cat I’ve ever had… This vet has served him well! It is the only one I have used for him. When I first got him he was so tiny because his mom died giving birth I didn’t even know he was a boy until they told me he was 😆. He likes outdoors and recently he was limping around I finally took him in and a couple shots and a few days later he’s good to go! The only down side to this vet is they are walk in only so be prepared to sit a few hours but we’ll worth it! Staff is great!

All my dogs have gone here and will continue to go here. Before bringing your pet here, my protip is to make sure they are excepting new patients. If they are understand that they don't take scheduled appointments. Get there at 730am to stand in line with the rest of the pet parents. If your there first thing, you will be seen same day. When I have gone there later in the day they were no longer taken patients.

This is a very popular and affordable place to take your pet in an emergency. The staff went over and above. My dog had diarrhea in the waiting room and they quickly took care of every thing. I felt so bad about the mess and my sick dog, but they are not judgemental and have always been so kind and patient. I would recomend getting in line 30-60 min before they open bc it is first come, first served basis. Love them to the moon and back❤💯

The wait is usually fairly long in the mornings, however, once you get in, it’s a super quick process. The doctor is super nice and so are the techs. Everyone lines up well before they open so be prepared for that.

I came here when my dog had an injury (foot slipped under a fence) and needed immediate medical care (she needed surgery). I had recently moved to the area and thought about going back to my old vet--but came here. SO GLAD that I did! Dr. Curley is so patient and kind. He explains what he is doing--and why. They do what they can to save you money and are very thoughtful and careful with your pet, your time, and your care for your pet. SO grateful that a dear friend commended them to me.

I don't like the fact that you can't make appointments and you literally have to wait in line to see a vet. It's a first come, first serve basis. You will be waiting there forever. Good Luck.

So far so good I rushed my girl over an hour to this vet because I herd nothing but good things about this place. So I went because my girl is not herself. I was so happy how the vet took a few minutes out of her busy time to listen to me about things going on. The place was full for a very early morning and I can understand why. The vet that seen my Selena was so caring and helpful. Plus the price of the visit and meds that I had to pay was not bad. I would have paid a lot more if I would have got her into my own vet. So I guess things worked out for the best. I think I will travel over an hour to see this vet more often.

Not from GR and our pup had an unexpected tummy issue and they were the only place i found that took walk-ins, they listed to me rave like a crazy first time mom lol and then talked me thru everything to help calm me down .. He was even due for his boosters and to save me a trip back up north almost 2 hrs they looked over my digital vet record and accommodated his needed vaccines. I am excited for our Boy to be a new patient here.

Yesterday I was reminded of the AMAZING work everyone does at Red Barn! I brought my cat in because she was not eating or drinking anything for 3 days after a tooth extraction at the emergency vet hospital over the weekend. The emergency vet prescribed her pain medication and antibiotics that were AWFUL to give her; it was a nightmare trying to do it and she was just not having it. My cat ended up drooling excessively, walking wobbly, and vomiting bile. I brought her into Red Barn yesterday and Dr. Curley gave her two injections and she has been feeling SIGNIFICANTLY better since yesterday afternoon! She finally started to eat and drink and is resting peacefully. They are ALWAYS so good with my dog and I am so glad I decided to bring my kitty in as a new patient. I can’t thank you enough for all you do, Red Barn!! ❤️

My normal vet which is an animal hospital would not see my dog who couldn't put any weight on his leg until next week. I brought him in to the Red Barn as a walk in and they saw him immediately. It turned out to be nothing serious for which I am grateful, but I am also grateful for their prompt and kind attention. The charge for the visit with medication was around $60. I was definitely expecting to pay more.

My Sissy of 12 years wasn't feeling well. Normally I go to South Kent Vet. I called them but since I hadn't kept up on all my dog's vaccines they couldn't see her. I was told the Red Barn took walk ins. They were packed when I got there and I had to wait in my car for quite some time. But let me tell you it was worth the wait!! The service was EXCELLENT from the reception to the Dr. Especially with the overload of patients. And the charge was reasonable!

I’m recently moved to the area, and found myself the care giver of a seriously failing cat. The Red Barn was my only option as the local vets are so in demand. The staff was great,the environment clean and friendly. We got in queue,2+ hour wait which was the estimate they gave me. Doc was gentle and compassionate but also honest and informing. He diagnosed and treated my cat giving her a 50/50 chance. Sadly she passed two days later but I know she was given the best care regardless. She was only mine for a couple days,but the Red Barn gave me the support and information I needed in this situation. I highly recommend their services and will definitely use them again in an emergency situation...

My first experience with your walk in clinic was wonderful. I was a super concerned dog mom because my baby didn't feel well and your office made me and Riven feel so much better. I had such a positive experience bringing my cat here. She hates going to the vet but really needed to be seen. They had a very efficient setup that allows you to wait in your car with your pet until you can be seen - in our case it didn't take long at all. All of the staff and Dr. were incredibly kind. I have gone to this vet for my entire life. It is with great sadness that I will be going to a vet that takes appointments. Today I waited for 2 hours and finally decided to leave. My dog was getting stressed. The doctors are great but my favorite is always doing surgery. Maybe she is the only one doing surgeries. I don't l don't know. I do know they worked through their lunch break. Maybe it's time to take appointments instead of doing walk ins.

Because of they are basically the only walk in vet in a radius they would potentially serve about 2 million people, it requires the staff to be efficient, cold, and focused on moving you in and out as quickly as possible. This creates a lack of connection to the red barn family and feels more like high quality fast food pet car. However, their means of operation do not lower their quality of work. Very happy with the service we received at this vet. While we would never call it our primary vet, for a low cost, non emergency, quick visit that you need same day... They are worth it.

Most of the vets in the area are booked for appointments and no longer accepting new clients. Red Barn could easily do the same but instead is keeping their doors open to everyone. The wait times are long but the care my dog received was worth it. The price was very reasonable. Thank you Red Barn.

May be a walk in Clinic, but the staff are incredible. Very professional and compassionate. Highly recommend, the wait is worth it. I had both my Boston Terriers cared for here, and recently, my senior girl Boston to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge, and they handled everything for me in that difficult time, and above all, allowed me to be with her, and gave me time to mourn afterwards, waiting until I was out of the room to take my baby girl away. Again, the wait is well worth it.

Professional without being condescending. Honesty in a medical practice, human or animal, is exceptionally rare. They have taken care of my family pets for over 20 years, and have never tried to "plus sell" unnecessary services or treatment. They have a large, well stocked and we'll staffed clinic that accepts walk in patients. If they took in human patients I would go see them! Of course, I have been called a horse's a$$ a time or two, so, maybe???

In 2019 we took our cat Chester because he had difficulty breathing. They took him right to the examination. After a quick X-ray they sent us to the emergency hospital where unfortunately he had to go to sleep. The communication they had was prompt and caring. When we walked in to the other hospital they knew exactly what is going on and who we are, they were notified by Red Barn, they even sent over all documentation needed. I was impressed. After Chester passed away they even sent us a sympathy card, though they literally had us in there for 15 minutes before we rushed to another place. So much caring in these people! Today I took our new baby Stitch there to get his forst vaccine. Check in was easy and fast, he got his vaccine, had a test and we weren't gone more than 45 minutes overall from home. The nurse was really friendly. She said she was new, but her professionalism and caring was amazing. She was patient and she asked the doctor all my questions before hand. She was absolutely amazing. The doctor was perfectly gentle with our 1.25 lb kitty. He gave all information, he was nice to us and understood that Stitch was a little scared. Got his vaccine in no time and assured me that he is in perfect condition and he is quite a handsome kitten. I will always be glad to go to Red Barn Veterinary Clinic. It's not fancy or the most high end... it is a normal simple clinic with professional people there... Not super cheap but veterinarian is always expensive. The people make the difference and so far we got treated as good as humanly possible. Thank you

I brought my dog in today to get a bite wound repaired and get him neutered. They got us right in and right into surgery. The entire staff is wonderful, the prices are reasonable as well. The vets were very knowledgeable, understanding and answered all of my questions. What a fabulous experience I had! I will be bringing my other dog in for her check up, and permanently switching to Red Barn. HIGHLY recommend!

I had a sick puppy and could not get an appointment with ANY local veterinarians. I waited only about 45 minutes for a walk-in appointment here and my puppy received excellent care for a reasonable price. I am extremely grateful that they offer this option. What a great experience in a stressful situation.

I had called 2 days in a roll and left a message , No response and no one answered. Upon walking in the 3rd day I realized they were extremely busy so I understood and got over it. Registration was pretty straight forward as a new patient with TWO puppers it went fast & smoothly. I waited from 9am to 10:40am..(I got there at 9:05am and people were already inside so i guess you gotta camp out if you wanna be first in line..) I waited less than 5 mins for a dr after the nurse and left outta there with medication around 11 something.. Yes the wait times are long but WORTH it .. I couldn't find an appointment NO WHERE for our new pup so I really appreciate the walk in clinic. The staff I had encountered were amazing and friendly I would think due to them being so busy everyone would have an attitude but luckily everyone was cheerful. Pricing was fair. Shots were given well. Clean room and wait room. I will definitely be back when needed . Thank You team at Red Barn You are VERY appreciated my way... Great first experience

They are great! Even with being as busy as they are right now, you can tell they are doing their very best to get patients in and out as quickly as possible while still giving the care they need to. I came in for more care for my dog after having a bad experience with another animal hospital and they made my day with how well they worked with us! They got him in quickly and we were seen by a doctor in only a short wait, promptly got the xrays we needed, and then explained the xrays to me thoroughly and what we should plan to do next. I am impressed with how they handled the rush of patients and still managed to provide care with a smile.

We have 4 dogs that go to 2 different vets. One of our dogs got an ear infection and it got pretty nasty. Both of our regular vets were booked several weeks to over a month out. Red Barn accepts walk-ins and was able to get us in and send us home with medicine without even having to call ahead. Great place. 10/10 recommend.

Had a wonderful ‘one off’ experience with them about 2 years ago. I said then that if I ever adopted a new pet, they were definitely getting my business. Sure enough, took our new dog today. Even in stressful COVID times, they were totally professional, personable and never once made me feel rushed. Dr. Curley was wonderful and spent plenty of time discussing the history of our anxious rescue adoptee and a plan for the future. I highly recommend this clinic. Mind you, you will have to wait a while in your car due to COVID protocols, but they have a great system set up and I greatly appreciated them having it in place. (Call ahead for cut off times for that day as they are walk in - no scheduled appointments). I also appreciated them letting me stay with our pet and not drop off curbside as so many are doing now. And their pricing is excellent, too! I am so glad that my second experience was just as I remembered my first to be. Totally worth the drive I make from the NW side of GR.

But not only was I able to walk in and be seen right away, the vet was very nice and talked everything out step by step and price point so I could stay within my budget. I brought my dog in thinking I was going to have to put him down, but the vet figured out his issue right away & he was back to his normal self the next day. The only downside is that they don't book appointments in advance, everything is walk-in, but I've never waited more than 20 minutes to be seen. Staff is very friendly, and yesterday Dr. Marr was fabulous with my dog. My dog is normally a little nervous to go to the vet, and doesn't like shots at all, but Dr. Marr made her feel really comfortable, and Goldie seemed happy too!

I had issues at an emergency vet and was very worried about my cat. I brought her in thinking she was having some very serious issues and wanted a blood test to confirm a previous finding. Red Barn vets clarified the initial findings, did an exam, told me what to look for, and told me I didn't even need the testing that I originally was told that I did. All of that for $50 and I also got major peace of mind. I was VERY happy with my service there. I was also in and out within an hour on a day after the holiday.

Love this clinic. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Marr. They don't take appointments. You can just take your fur babies in when you need to, but you may have to wait a bit if they are really busy. They are a clinic not a 24 hr emergency veterinarian hospital. They close at 5pm. I recommend getting there no later than 4:30 PM to have your pet seen that day. Payment in full, is due at time of service. They do not offer payment plans any more. Too many people abused the system and would not honor their payment agreement.

My cat was dying. We took her in to verify nothing could be done for her. It was a very short visit as they could tell it was kidney failure. My only reason this was not a 5 star was because the lady we saw sneered and acted disgusted when my kitty peed. If you are around animals you are going to have to deal with this happening. I cleaned it up myself. But I felt it was very cold due to the severity of the situation. The lady who collected payment showed more empathy even though she was in a rush. Will continue to use them as my vet even though an hour away. They are worth the trip.

The red barn has been our go-to vet for the last 8 years or so. Walk-ins are always welcome. Possibly 30 min wait or less. The only complaint would be that requests from online sources like chewy.com have always been put on the back burner the 1st or 2nd attempt from Chewy to fill our pet's prescriptions. Usually, an email or 2 takes care of the issue.

With possible heart disease and respiratory infection, my dear cat Gary was having trouble breathing and I really thought he might be near the end. Took him here after a terrible experience with his normal vet at another clinic. Dr Curly was nothing short of AMAZING!! I told him my cat doesn’t like to be held down and the doctor got onto the ground and used some great techniques as not to further stress my already stressed cat. He was incredibly kind and caring. My dog is on insulin and it was costing $50+ a month there and I was talked down to when I told them I needed a less expensive way to treat her. I took my rat Albus in for what I thought might be an upper respritory infection (common for rats as their respritory systems are fragile). The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and never once were rude to me about my choice in pet. They treated him as if he were someones cat or dog and made me feel very comfortable seeking them out for veterinary help. The doctor was very kind and gentle with him and honest about his condition. Very reasonably priced (example: VCA hospital quoted $1500 for a tooth extraction and was very adamant that I have the service done and Red Barn stated it would be around $300 for the same treatment but also stated isn't necessary unless the tooth is infected or causing pain). Walk-in service is very accommodating, but the office doesn't use any sort of electronic filing, so it makes it pretty slow to check in and also to get past records. (They don't have any computers, only paper files. Similar to a library using only paper cards like in the 1980s.) Their prices are at least 30-50% higher than other clinics. We had some of our dog's teeth extracted, but we weren't told which ones/where they were located. At other clinics, we were given X-rays of before and after the procedure and very detailed diagrams of what teeth were worked on. We're pretty disappointed in the lack of anything resembling technology at the Red Barn Vet Clinic.

She was quite knowledgeable in regards to behavioral issues with cats. I was given options as well as several hopeful alternatives. I could go on and on about how great this place is. If you are looking for a vet or on the fence about switching vets, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with Red Barn veterinary clinic.

After looking around town at other exotic vets I decided to try the red barn veterinary clinic. A few months ago I took in my little 6 month old netherland dawrf buck rabbit to get fixed and was really happy with the process. They were extreamly nice and knowledable of rabbits. I was very happy to see the papers saying that they do NOT reccomend rabbits fasting before a procedure (if a vet says opposite, do not take your bunny there for their gastrointestinal track is to sensitive for food or water to be taken away before surgery). It costs us around $150 with meds included and his nails were trimmed. Leo recovered very well and I look forward to our next visit for his nails :) 4/5 stars because when we got home I realized his blankets were missing from his bag. I called and then traveled back to the vet to pick them up.
