The staff are just as friendly, Dr. Schoen was amazing as always, met all of the needs of my new puppy and gave me advice on how to use crate training for housebreaking. I have brought my pets to this practice for many years. The new office at Fuller and 3-Mile is a big improvement over the original site. I feel that my elderly cat gets kind, compassionate care. The receptionists and vet techs are helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Sarah is the best!

Dr. Seneker and Dr. Innis- are compassionate and careful- and outstanding in their respective specialities. The staff is kind, loving and highly experienced in all their work. I would HIGHLY Recommend their services- and endorse their Kind Care and treatment of all our Treasured Pets... we have been patients for over 30 years... I consider them Essential to our Dogs well-being- health and comfort! Our dogs actually enjoy visiting- and trust the entire staff! I've taken my dog to GR Vet Clinic since I adopted her in 2017. They are always very thorough, caring, most of all cheerful! Which I just like, maybe that doesn't matter to others. We have taken two of our cherished family members, Belle and Buster, to be euthanized at Grand Rapids Vet Clinic. In both instances, we and our beloved schnauzers were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Thee process is never easy - nor should it be - but the procedures were performed very quickly and neither Belle nor Buster appeared to experience anxiety or pain. The workers there are awesome! I took my daughter's cat in due to what I thought was an eye infection but turned to be an abcess near her eye. She was treated and is now on the mend and back to her old self! I take my dog here and she is well taken care of. She has many allergies so she needs expert care. She gets it here!

We have been taking our fur babies to GRVC since before they moved and changed their name. They are very thorough, caring and will help with your sick pet day or night. I trust the vets there as much as I trust my own doctors. The staff are very good at what they do as well. From checking in to assisting the doctors to checking out, they all know their jobs and do it well. I recommend GRVC for your furbabies as well!

I love the staff here. Everyone seems to love your pet the way you do. I also appreciate their fair pricing on procedures and prescriptions that are needed. One thing though - with it being such a great place, they are very busy and sometimes the wait to see the doctor can be long, but it is worth the wait! I highly recommend them!

Been coming here for over 30 yrs. Compared to other vets, their prices are the most reasonable. I have always been satisfied with their Dr's and techs care for my sweeties. For as long as I can remember, the front desk staff have always been rude & dismissive as if they hated their job. HOWEVER, in the past year they have made some changes with new staff as they were polite & helpful but not big fans of small talk about your pet. That's ok, I'm not there for them anyhow.

I took my puppy tiny here because she was in pain. They took such good care of her the staff was awesome with her as she does not like being in a cage so they carried her around with them, to keep her feeling safe and happy, the treated her pain gave her fluids and when she felt better I was able to bring my baby home with me. We was there for 8 hours but the vet and the rest of the staff are fantastic. If we have any other problems with my dogs I will bring them back to the animal hospital again.

This was the first Vet, of many, that actually saw what I've been desperately trying other Vets to see. When I look at Zelda I want to cry. She has rubbed the skin on her little paws, ears, around her eyes stomach and anywhere else she can get to raw It must be painful for her to even touch some of the areas. Some veterinarians have noticed she was loosing hair but did nothing to determine the cause. I understand that it may be difficult to see her skin because her hair is very long and dense but I don't understand why little effort was made to determine the cause of her problems. I've been told it's normal for a cat to have little black spots moving in her ears and all over her body. It's supposed to be normal for cats to have tiny gel like bubbles tucked into her crevices and can hide into her hair when exposed. I'm still thinking she may have mold on her. I'm very worried about the problems that just won't go away. I'm afraid she's going to die before we are able to get her relief. I rarely see her beautiful round eyes open up. Her hair no longer shines. She's starting to hide from us. She has little appetite or thirst. I'm going away for a couple of days when I get back I will want you to see her. When we were home after her visit she had some energy. The bad news is that the black spots started to fall off of her and on to me I have sores all over me. I'm seeing a specialist on my return. They are painful, itchy, and feel like a burn. She's such a sweet girl and so sensitive. All of the " professionals" told my autistic son that I was seeing things that there is nothing wrong with Zelda it's just in my head. I need you to be very careful when informing him about Zelda. He is concerned about me but his concern is unfounded and damaging. He isn't around Zelda all the time but I am. His misenterpretation of our recent visit is concerning. Vet care has really gone downhill since COVID. It's hard to get in anywhere and now that everyone has pets, the vets are over worked and over scheduled. This practice has been so good to me and my animals. My little dog has had kidney issues and not only did Dr. Innis prescribe the correct antibiotic before the culture came back from Blue Pearl but he has been available for emergencies multiple times. He even checked up on her later in the week to see how she was doing. Dr. Pick is so smart and thorough. She doesn't rush you through your appointment and you know she is going to take the time to give your animal the best of care. Dr. Schoen is marvelous because she has personal experience with cats and small dogs and understands my concerns because she's been there. The staff is kind and compassionate. They are very understanding of your need to have your animal seen. I went to a local vet when we moved because this practice was a 30 minute drive for me and at the time I had kids in tow but I'm glad to be back as they really have provided great care for the issues I have had with my animals. This is a wonderful practice.

It's true, this isn't the nicest, shiniest, newest equipment, etc. The staff here, however, is amazing. They're great with animals and their humans. This is a VERY busy place, so the system can get a little backed up, but when you're there, they take their time with you and make sure all your questions are answered and your fur babies are in good shape. A huge bonus to this Vet practice, is that it is very reasonable in its costs...enough do that I drove from all the way over from the other side of town. Bottom line, bring your pets here with confidence, you and they will be treated well and for a very reasonable price. Update 7/2022 Their new facility is very nice and clean. Same great staff, and still a great value for veterinary services. Our doc this visit was Dr Sarah Pick; a first for us. She continues this practice's tradition of friendly and gentle care. I've always been impressed with this group's staff. You can definitely come here and know you and your fur children will be well taken care of.

My one chihuahua, Marshmallow recently broke her leg and they have been amazing at finding the best way to help her heal properly. We started taking our do here last year and we've been happy with the services they have provided. The veterinarians seem to really enjoy what they do and have always treated us kindly. They are professional and knowledgeable. The office staff can be a little rude at times, but they do seem to be very, very busy, so I'm willing to give them some grace. I find the office staff to be knowledgeable, as they helped me choose a flea and tick medication for my dog and knew a lot about different brands and places to buy it.

I love the vets and assistants. Prices are great. My only issue is the customers that don't leave their pets in the car. My dog is not friendly towards other animals, so its very important that others leave the animals in the car. I have actually gone up to someone and said your lucky my pit isn't here. Your dog would have been ripped to shreds. Because why ? they are sitting their with dog not paying attention to their surroundings. Plus its written everywhere and its one of the vets rules!

I brought my cat in for his distemper shot, but had to bring my infant son in too because I didn’t have a sitter. I was trying to carry my son in his carrier and my cat in his crate, and it was awkward and difficult. The front desk helped me with the front doors, and when I got into the room, my son started crying. I felt embarrassed, but the vet was very sweet and understanding. She helped me get my cat out of his crate, and took care of everything so quickly! She let me pay in the room so I wouldn’t have to lug around both carriers to the check out desk, then brought my cat to the car for me while holding the doors open for me and my baby. It was so helpful! Above and beyond customer service!

Been going here for years and absolutely love the service and professionalism. If you decides to go here please aware of the size of the practice, Small not much staff. Seeing that this establishment is such a good one, they can be busy at times. Patients will cost you less than other places for better than most Vets services in town. Love the place and people.

I could not tell you how please we are with Dr. Innis! He is just amazing! He went above and beyond to care for our dog... Logan is 9.5 years old, and something just wasn't right - after blood tests and x-rays, we finally decided on surgery. Dr. Innis offered a few things, but also offered his opinion for the least expensive route (which we very much appreciated). The facility is not a bunch of bells/whistles (it's no day spa for pets - so if that's what you want, this isn't your place). But, looking for somebody who truly care about your pet, and does it for the best cost possible... hands-down, this is the best vet around! On a side note, when calling, the gals answering the phone can be a little "to-the-point". No excuses, but get past it... BEST VET IN GRAND RAPIDS!

I have been going to this vet since '85 when my family got our first cat. They are reasonably priced and can always get me in for urgent appointments. They have come in on Sunday when I was sure my cat had cancer but it ended up being a badly impacted and swollen anal gland. They fixed her right up, and we were so grateful. They are very kind when it comes time to have your animal put down too. Admittedly, I sometimes get attitude from one of the receptionists that has been there for years, but I still love the place. Schoen and Innis are best.

Great vet clinic that is affordable and knows their stuff. One thing I wasn't aware of was that you should leave your pet in the car until it's time for them to go in a room...maybe the receptionist should mention this on the phone for those that are either new or haven't been in recently. I also thought the hugging thing was strange when my dog had his shots...seems like a good way for the person hugging the dog to get bit plus I am used to assisting in handling my dog and that was made impossible to do with the person that worked there hugging him. I will return, just a few noticeable things worth mentioning.

We've been bringing our animals here since we moved north of GR six years ago. We are so impressed by their dedication to helping take care of the animals. Prices are very affordable and they do their best to make room for emergencies in their schedule. We are very happy with their services. Only downside? The parking lot is TINY and it's on a busy intersection. Small price to pay though for everything else you get.

I recently brought in my friend's very sick cat for her, I thought the veterinary Dr. was abesolety wonderful with her memory of the cat's issues, with knowledge of the owners likes and dislikes, with dealing with the cat, with the quality of care given. I can't even say enough good in regards to this professionalism. Also, the clinic was clean, quiet, and very reasonably priced.

This office has been exceptional with our animals. We have had the pleasure of dealing with all of the vets at one time or another, and they have performed everything from routine check-ups to emergency surgery. We have 2 dogs and have had various other small animals over the years, and they have treated all with kindness and compassion. We have even had a hamster put to sleep there (yes, I know...a hamster. it was my daughter's...enough said) I have never experienced the attitude that some other reviewers claim. I would insist that perhaps the negativity they experienced may have been a personal perception rather than anything intended by the staff. We came to this clinic from another well-respected clinic in the area. I will say the other clinic had made us feel very uncomfortable at times, and shamed us into performing more life-prolonging work on our cats than was realistic. In retrospect, that office had us perform hundreds of dollars worth of treatment on a cat that was in complete system failure at 19 years old. It was the situation there that led us to Weisner, Innes, and Schoen in the first place, and we have been so very pleased with their realistic assessments of our animals health. As a real bonus, they have very fair pricing as well. We have used several clinics in the area over the years, and have found many of them have little hidden fees and extras. We have not had that experience at all here. To the contrary, my older dog has had two knee surgeries and two ear hematomas repaired at this facility. The prices charged were inclusive of the after care, and consistently much more affordable than any other I have heard of. We have recommended friends and family alike here, and have yet to be disappointed. No business or office is perfect and you cannot keep everyone happy all of the time...that said, these guys are consistently very, very good.

If you can get past the intimidating receptionists (who are actually pretty nice, but crazy busy) and rough building, this vet is a secret gem. I have been taking my cats to them for 13 years with excellent results. Dr. Innis is by far my favorite vet. He is friendly and straightforward and has never been judgmental about my failures as a pet owner (the last time I went in, for an emergency, my girls were several months behind on their shots and i felt terrible about it) The prices are very reasonable and the care is great.

This is a small, well established veterinary practice in the Grand Rapids area. I love this office! I only utilize 3 vets in the area and Weisner Innis & Schoen are one of those 3. Dr. Innis is a gift from God! While I trust and will use each doctor in the office, my personal preference is Dr. Innis. Even during emergency situations they will accommodate you if it's within their means and that is something that is important to me in my pets doctor. I've heard some complain about having to wait until their room is ready to bring their animal in - please understand this is a much smaller practice than many of the other offices in the area. The lobby/waiting room is very small. Leaving your pet in the car until your room is ready is simply for the safety of you, your pet and other clients. Highly recommend this veterinary office.

I wanted to counter a few of the negative reviews on here. I have been taking our 2 dogs here for about 3 years and they are, by far, my favorite vet ever. We've been there for shots and other routine care as well as for a knee injury. I feel like the vets and assistants care so much for my dogs and give them such gentle treatment while we're there. I finally stopped taking our dogs to the groomers for nail clipping because they kept clipping too short and making them bleed...I tried 2 groomers before I decided to just take them to the vet for this as well. I love that I can feel good about my dogs' care and the cost has always been very reasonable. As far as the front desk staff being rude, I've never felt that way at all!

I been taking our fur babies here for 10 years. It is a busy office and never had a problem with appointments. The vet doctors are great, the technicians make it easy and the ladies up front are skilled multitaskers.

My boyfriend’s 13 year old husky was in really bad shape. She had extensive drooling and could hardly stand. She looked like she had had a stroke. We took her to the pet hospital across the street and they wanted $630 just to make her comfortable while she passed. I took her to Dr. Innis the very next morning which was Saturday and Dr. Innis told me that her teeth were the problem. Dr. Innis gave up his entire day, kept her and performed emergency surgery. He removed 14 teeth and allowed me to pick up Shadow that same night. He waited around for me till I was able to get there. Shadow now acts like she is two years old again. Chasing my cat, acting playful, and she even went for a run with me. This behavior from a dog that was supposed to die that same weekend, and he charged me a fraction of what the animal hospital wanted. Anyone who has issues with this office clearly doesn’t understand the dedication they hold to our pets.

My 10 year old cat had a tumor on her cheek that ruptured & was bleeding, we took her in to Weisner Innis & Schoen's to have it checked out & removed. We arrived after surgeries had been done that day, but Dr. Innis kept her anyway & did the surgery (which ended up being a much larger & deeper mass than we could have guessed) after hours. We were able to pick her up the next morning & although she is still healing, she is doing amazing & acting more like a kitten than she has in a couple years. I have taken my pets here for my entire life & my parents have before me, I have had very very little complaint, they care for the animals, their prices are the most reasonable around, & they have done so many great things for my pets, we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Parking aside - these are some of the best Animal Doctors in the Grand Rapids metro area. I've used many Vets over the years, some "City" and some "Country" and the Doctors at Weisner, Innis & Schoen are the best of both. You and your pets receive excellent treatment without the added costs you normally find at "City" Vets. The only knock I can give them is that parking - due to the location - can be a challenge at times.

And one of my rats passed away so we went there to see if the other one was sick and there was no doctor there so we were going to make an appointment when one of the ladies started giving me all this really good information and so I feel a little bit better about it but we are taking my other rat to get a check up today!
